Kamisama Dolls episode 8

Oh? Am I at home posting this episode instead of driving around at work? I wonder why. Could it be that I work with EVIL TROLLS that always get their way? Oh yes that is exactly what happened. Whatever. WHATEVER.

There is a lot of anger in my heart. Tons. But since it is raining cats and dogs maybe it is for the best. Just now on another “day off” not much is getting done since I am trapped in the house. Hopefully the power does not go out or I will be bored out of my mind. X__X

So many cosplay cafes already in Japan X__X

To put aside the anger I will focus on Kamisama Dolls episode 8. People with anger issues as well. Spoilers for rain and library books.

Episode Summary: Utao tries practicing her big sister smile so she can win over her crazy little twin brother. The next day Utao, Kyouhei, and Shiba leave the village. We find out dad is still a jerk and mom is an alcoholic. While leaving Utao spots Kirio and goes to talk to him. Only she can’t smile to save her life and Kirio teases her. Ah siblings. Once they arrive back at the city Shiba’s father suggest they go to the beach to visit his friend. Because they just didn’t go on vacation or anything. Utao is excited to see the beach and dreams happy dreams. Only she gets there and Irene has already made landfall. Sad faces for all. The rooms they are staying start to leak so Shiba and Kyouhei go downstairs to tell the owner. Only half the building collapses on the dude. Shiba has to retrieve Utao from the bath and crazy antics happen from that point on. They eventually save the dude and manage to turn the power back on due to the god doll. The next day all is well so Utao is allowed to see the beach instead of using her god doll to repair the house. Oh okay. Back in the city Kuuko’s dad is talking about investigating Kyouhei in connections to the god dolls. HMMM people.

I hate it when rain ruins awesome vacations. :(

Once back in town Shiba and Utao take up their normal jobs at the restaurant. They are sent on a mission to return library books and with Kyouhei running the show business dwindles. Kyouhei thinks to himself the real reason he stopped being a Seki was because he was afraid of turning into Aki. Shiba decides to read a magazine but instead runs into Aki. Things actually start off okay with Aki not killing her and Shiba talking. But then she brings up Dead Teacher one too many times and says Aki should not involve Kyouhei in his petty problems. Then Aki is like oh is you important to Kyouhei because maybe I should kill you. He also talks that there is darkness inside of Kyouhei and Shiba needs to start worrying about herself. Utao shows up before Shiba is harmed and Aki agrees to go outside to battle. As they fight outside Aki says the god dolls only exist to harm and destroy. Utao gets upset and loses concentration. Aki eventually leaves and the girls return home. Shiba is upset over all the god doll crap and Kyouhei tries to comfort her. Utao starts beating him up but is really worried about why the god dolls exist. Kyouhei tries to calm them both down. Kirio arrives back in Tokyo ready to rumble. Alone in a park Aki thinks to himself if this is the life his god doll really wants. THE END!

So after last week’s episode the writers decide our “heroes” needed a day at the beach? Lame. Describes this episode pretty well.

Very impressed with Utao's smile. XD

I am still rolling my eyes over the advice Utao received a few weeks ago. In case people don’t remember her new twin brother Kirio tried to kill her. Well he was just going to attack her and when Utao got pissed Kirio went a little crazy and went on the offensive. Not that I blame Utao. And I sorta understand why Kirio did that. He has been brought up to be crazy but the person he should be attacking is the old dude with the cane, not his sister who is innocent in all of this.

Maybe if they were both boys they could punch it out. But Utao is a girl and we don't take kindly be being almost blown up.

My point is the smiling thing was weird and dumb. Koushiro you are my home dog in this village/story full of crazy people. But you were trying to push the twins together and that was a big no. No no and no. Way too soon or maybe not possible at all. Just no. Like hello I just said last post I would love to have a twin brother. But if the first moment I saw him he tried to kill me with a rocket launcher I would not run to him with open arms. No folks.

Photobucket

Who cares that I fathered three kids into this crazy village? I don't.

Of course the real villain in ALL OF THIS is the father. Mr. Looking at the window not caring he has another kid out there. But since he doesn’t care about ANY of his kids and we got crazy with a stick raising on kid how can we expect any of these siblings to function normally?

Photobucket

Someone bounces back fast...

So our “heroes” get back from the village and TADA Shiba’s dad is like oh hi my friend is opening a resort on the beach wanna go? Because apparently we are all stupid and don’t remember that Kyouhei was having a hard time taking off to go to the village. Obviously he has enough free time from school and nonexistent work to go play more. Okay folks. Okay.

Photobucket

Look how amazing these flying creatures are!!!

After the brutal episode last week I thought it was weird and out of place to show such a happy trip. Well potentially happy trip as it rained the whole time. I just think there were better ways to show how helpful a god doll could be. I mean…I was expecting the god doll to help rebuild the wall or something. But it just really all seemed out of place.

Photobucket

Why is he important again?

Another thing that seems out of place is Kuuko’s cop dad. He now admits that he was not allowed in the village for whatever reason. Not sure which case he could be talking about since if he was not allowed in he would not know about the mass murders. In any event he is following Kyouhei and crew because Kyouhei’s apartment blew up? And they were there during the god dolls in the street? I am mean granted he is RIGHT but not for any reasons that make sense to me. More like a lucky guess and he is going to be praised for being so observant. More like a stretch to me and with all the other plot points going on I don’t think it is necessary to include this Tokyo cop trying to figure out the village.

Photobucket

You mean my only friend in the world who knew the truth and didn't back me up? Why am I involving him?

I thought Aki’s interaction with Shiba in the library went well. Wonder if he was reading Serial Killers: Misunderstood lambs or kill lions? But anyway he was like….oh hi. It was Shiba who kept bring up Dead Teacher. She was just told the story of woe and yet she still wasn’t fully on Aki’s side. Maybe she needs to rewatch that episode or something. But she is questioning why Aki was involving Kyouhei. UM BECAUSE HE WAS INVOLVED! Is she really that stupid?

Photobucket

See how nice Aki is? Didn't even kill Shiba.

I am very confused about Aki’s character though. If he killed that dude in the elevator why wouldn’t he want to attack Utao in a library? Unless elevator dude was somehow related to the village and Aki was still enacting his revenge. Of course people who have been made into crazy killers might be CRAZY and hard to read so I don’t know.

Photobucket

Poor Aki. Me thinks that Kirio is well on his way to CrazyVille too.

I don’t know if Aki was being cruel to Utao or being honest. Maybe all he HAS seen with god dolls is death and destruction. Maybe he was not raised to see the good they could use. Given the fact that Kirio has been raised to Seki-ize the most powerful god doll ever and god dolls seem to react to strong emotions Aki might not be too off base. Granted if you are fuzzy bunny raised in light and love you can give light and love. But so far I am only seeing violence and destruction and Aki being honest about his experiences is not what I call cruel.

Maybe Aki went a little too far with what he said to Shiba about Kyouhei. But since Kyouhei has the same worries maybe it is not so off base. I just don’t think Aki should involve Shiba just because his…..”love interest” was killed off. Keep it in the family/between the people it involved. And if Shiba didn’t already have bad feelings about this whole god doll thing she is dumb. Really dumb. For real.

Photobucket

Just leave it at this and stop making Kyouhei a clumsy fool.

I think the ending could have been stronger if there wasn’t yet another “misunderstanding” between Shiba and Kyouhei. Why couldn’t Utao do her hitting/crying thing and leave Shiba alone in her room to be frustrated? It was not the time to be handing out fanservice. But at least the very last scene was with Aki questioning what his god doll wants to be? Despite his….killing sprees and random attacks he seems to care deeply for his god doll which makes me doubt the rumors he killed animals even more.

Photobucket

Maybe instead of continuing the cycle of violence I could...change?...Nah.

And that is about it. Kirio is going to make it back in town to annoying Utao some more but it looks like he has to wait in line as Mr. Cop is there to question people on why they are all suspicious and stuff. Hopefully next week the pace gets picked up a little. I feel as if there is no real direction with this show and too many plot points are cluttering up the story. Pick a few and make them good. Hopefully they involve killing the old dude with the cane. See ya next week!

This episode is disappointing, for sure. Because it has NO plot development.
The girl with weird boobs : "Why are you involving Kyouhei in this?"
Adult accelerator : "Because he's involved, duh."
Unless he's just village boy A or village boy B, lol.

Eternia- I think this episode really needed to be strong after last week's reveal. But instead we get skippy happy almost beach times. LAME.

Shiba is lucky Aki didn't cut her head off right then and there. How much does Aki have to go through for people to be on his side? KYOUHEI IS INVOLVED! Like yep want revenge on him too for leaving me high and dry.

Shiba is such a loser.

Thoughts on Aki: In episode 7, I think the principle is plain out lying. Aki didn't hurt animals, I think his step brother Ass-sushi was actually the one killing animals and DID wind up working his way up to killing people... BUT they just used his real life bullshit as a lie and cover to take the slicey doll from Aki, and give it to that jack ass...bc if you didnt notice a lot of the villagers, esp. the ones in charge are dumb ass holes... they took it from Aki bc he was a bastard (probably same dad different mom) and even tho he has SUPERB psychic contorl over his doll, and if all this shit didnt happen to him his personality problem would never have happened. So there you have it, it is all guess work, but I am 100% sure it is true. Its just lies and slander.

RamenSempai- In the end I was rooting for Aki to destroy the village. Kyouhei wants things to change yet he leaves the village? Yeah things are going to get better that way. This village cranks out damage kids. Aki was just going to get back at the people that hurt them. Burn it down! Glad his "brother" died. Deserved everything coming to him.
