Dramatical Murder episode 2

 photo dramaticalmurderepisode216_zps72409b14.jpg
Well I like it so far. Because you are all behaving.
Otay. This shall be the last post of the day. I have watched Love Stage episode 2 and started to blog it but I has the tireds and when I am tired I spell words ultra wrong and my grammar gets extra wonky. We want things to be half way legible right? Readable? Whatever. One more post and I think it might be pajama time. Up now is Dramatical Murder episode 2. Spoilers for Aoba making new friends in all the wrong places.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode24_zps015cf074.jpg
Well just go and pull an ultimate move why don't you!
Episode Summary: The episode rewinds a bit from episode 1. Aoba and his new confident voice tells his Allmate/humanoid robot Ren to attack. Ren seems confused but attacks which causes some of the tiny bunnies to be injured. Aoba blinks and has no idea what he just did. The tiny rabbits continue to attack and Aoba doesn't know what to do. The avatar, the actual human being, is pissed as Aoba isn't putting up a fight and not taking this seriously. The tiny rabbits keep on attacking until Aoba and Ren run out of health. The battle appears to be over but Aoba magically starts to regenerate at the speed of fast. He then gets back up and does his amazing attacks and gathering up that large energy from last time. Aoba appears to win and wakes up in the real world. He doesn't feel so hot and the boy with the weird gas mask is leading over him. Aoba wakes up near his shop feeling weird. He panics but Ren seems to be okay except for some missing data. Aoba seems to have some missing memories too at the point where Ren's data is messed up. Other than that they seem to be okay. Well not really and Ren goes inside to get the owner to help dizzy Aoba out. Nearby another blond (not the two nontwins) is seen running away and not reacting to a cut he gets on his wrist. Inside what I assume is the doom people are monitoring Rhyme battles and someone sees the weird battle Aoba was in. He thinks that someone named Touei needs to be informed. This Touei person and a young man watch the battle on recording. The young man looks unmoved by what he sees. Back at his work Aoba still has his headache so his boss sends him home all concerned. Aoba walks home, thinking about how this bunny person knew Aoba and his user name even though he has never played Rhyme before. Aoba makes it home and has to explain to his ex-doctor Granny that his medicine isn't helping his headaches like it used to. She seems concerned but sends the boy off to rest before explaining herself. Aoba goes to lay down and feels upset that he keeps causing his Granny pain. That since the accident (undisclosed time) he had promised himself to not worry Granny again. Aoba calls Virus and Trip to see if they know if he ever played Rhyme since he has a bad memory since the accident. While Virus and Trip have their gang beat some people up. They don't think Aoba has played Rhyme but start to worry about that Spirited Away rumor. Aoba gets on the computer to fix the minor things wrong with Ren and they have a cute moment as Master and robot dog. Aoba has a headache again so he puts his big headphones on which solves his problem as he is able to go to bed.

It is really weird you keep mentioning it?
Aoba wakes up as Koujaku's Allmate pecks at his head. Koujaku is downstairs eating dinner as Granny pretends to be annoyed at the situation. The boys sorta....go at it in a kidding way because they are such good friends. After dinner Aoba takes a bath and invites Koujaku to go after him. They have a boring exchange about cigarettes that I don't care about. They then talk about how Aoba's hair hurts when other people touch it some more. When Koujaku notices Aoba isn't 100 percent he (Aoba) explains about the random Rhyme fight happening near Koujaku's territory. Koujaku seems concerned over Aoba and these battles without the crowd and referee. Aoba then mentions Mizuki for some reason. Mizuki is then seen getting a sketch from a fellow....tattoo artist? Koujaku takes a shower later and we see his many tattoos. He is thinking about the conversation he just had with Aoba, the one about Mizuki concerned about Spirited Away and Morphine. Then we see all the characters in this show doing different things. The dude Aoba ran into has his own gang SURPRISE and the blond kid with the bandages might be the Bunny dude. Aoba goes to work the next day and apologizes for fainting. The boss doesn't mind and apologizes himself as the package that was to be delivered end up being a prank. Basically someone trying to target Aoba. As Aoba and Ren discuss this they hear a crash outside. They rush out and see the kid with a gas mask...laying on the ground. The boy eventually gets up and refers to Aoba as Master. He says he dragged Aoba here after the fight but wasn't in Rhyme with him. Aoba is confused as is this boy who says his name is Clear. He thinks that Aoba seems different than the day before...Still Master is Master. Aoba tells the kid to go home as this entire situation is weird. Koujaku goes to see Mizuki at his tattoo parlor. It is almost awkward as both them seem to be in love with Aoba and are talking because of him. They talk about Rhyme and how it is affecting them personally. Nothing really gets resolved, almost like they are setting the ground work for something. Aoba is busy chillin at the store when the bandaid kid comes in and declares he has found what he is looking for...Aoba. THE END!
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode217_zpsb5322913.jpg
Poor Ren is trying to solve Blue's Clues but people keep interrupting!
Everyone say AWWW. This series is starting off really cute and playful. You know if you put aside the fact that everyone but Aoba is in a “team” that beats people up and the Tower is looking kinda shady. But besides that it is all wonderful in Aoba land. So when everything hits the fan and Aoba no longer has pants it will come as a huge shock to everyone.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode2_zpsa4a5d224.jpg
This would be narrow eye Aoba, the one who can play Rhyme.
When we last saw Aoba he was pulled into a random Rhyme fight where he won by getting a headache and summoning up a weird power. Well this episode decides to rewind things slightly for us and explain exactly how this happened. Just a few more details really. Aoba and his headache affect him in this virtual reality world which is a little odd to me. He isn't physically there so...how can something that affects him physically take place in the game? But it does happen and his eyes narrow, almost change in color as he tells Ren what to do. Then poof back to normal eyes. Normal eyed Aoba has no idea what is going on and they are quickly defeated. Which I appreciate since Aoba has never played before. I don't think he should magically get better and the best at something just because he is the main character. He and Ren are defeated with no more health left in the game. Slightly worried since the safety mode was left off this game so maybe they are hurt in real life?
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode22_zps19927801.jpg
Aoba and his eyes when he cannot play Rhyme.
So...yeah. Aoba magically got better and became the best at something because he is in the main character. Maybe not the best but he certainly was something. Ren didn't come back to fight though so I guess the Allmates aren't connected to their masters in that aspect. Nope just Aoba regenerated himself and back came the narrow eyes. The Aoba that seems to know how to play this game. Maybe he even created it considering how anime goes. He certainly knows a hack as he magically started to summon up a power of his own. I was under the impression that the Allmates were the fighters and did attacks, not the avatars. Aoba and his now understanding self unleashed his magical energy and poof....the game is over.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode25_zps0f14bea0.jpg
And no one else matters because Ren is so super cute!
Aoba was not feeling so great when he woke up. He and Ren weren't dead which is a good thing. No blood that I could see. But extremely dizzy and in no position to fend for themselves. Aoba took turns holding his head in pain and passing out on the ground. The random kid in the gas mask makes an appearance to....drag Aoba back to his place of business? So was the mask kid the one who started up the game, thinking he was someone else and was like oppies, wrong person? Or was the person who started the game the other blond hair kid running in the alley with bandaids on? I guess it could be other people but they seem to be suspect one and two. Despite the battle being described as potentially deadly and dangerous Aoba was returned to work in one piece and what not. Can't be killing him yet I suppose.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode26_zps493694cb.jpg
So....who you be?
While Aoba is being cared for/covered up by this mask person we get to see some action inside the dome. I think it was the dome anyway. I was under the impression the dome was a rich city while the poor people lived on the outside, the old parts of town. I still think I am right but for now all the focus was on this one tower that seems to monitor Rhyme. They could monitor a lot of things for all I know as this Rhyme thing hasn't been explained yet on why it is illegal (see cops last week) or how it is profitable. The point is this tower monitors Rhyme games and Aoba's random regeneration has sparked some...interest. I am going to assume ( I say that a lot now...) that this Touei person either is behind Rhyme, like he helped make it or is using it for his own devious plans. And maybe he is looking for THE ONE. Like bam look at this kid randomly regenerating and using some awesome illegal power. Let us bring him into the fold to be our top baddie. Because the other kid he had with him was looking kinda bored. Like yeah I have been tortured for so long I can't work up the energy about you torturing someone else. Sorry.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode27_zps3c5ffc1d.jpg
I think Aoba will be saying that a lot from now on.
It takes Aoba quite a while to get home. Ren is the first to wake up and the cute little robot dog is okay folks. I know everyone was worried about that. You can watch a movie where 99.9 percent of the human population dies in a horrible way but the second someone's pet dog dies...it is horrible. TEARS! So many tears. So the robot dog with his own AI is okay folks. He can't remember part of the battle, right after Aoba got all amazing with the game and could give commands. Aoba can't remember much either. The owner of the store gives Aoba the once over and tells him to go home. Since no one has cars in this town Aoba still has to walk home. I would have been like um can I lay in the back until the Earth stops spinning and the urge to pule passes me? Nope onward Aoba walks. He seems rather out of it as he is mostly focused on the fact that the random challenger knew his name. That Aoba has a user name in Rhyme, a game he has never played. He hasn't played before right?
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode28_zpsa308afb4.jpg
What's up with that Grams? Why is my "special" medicine not working anymore?
Well it turns out it is not pure craziness that Aoba is questioning whether or not he has played Rhyme. I was like um dude don't you know your own life? Well he might not. He got home just fine and tells Granny the condensed version of why his head hurt. He is concerned that the medicine he takes isn't working as well as it used to. Keeps having moments and what not. Granny tries to hide her concern but both are just being liars. Turns out that sometime in the past Aoba had an accident involving his head and that is why he has these headaches. I am sure that is not what really happened but that is what Aoba has been told. Me thinks the boy must have a split personality or repressed memories. Like yeah you used to play Rhyme until something super bad happened to you and the memories got kicked out of your head. Every now and then the memories resurface and hurt Aoba's head. Granny is concerned about returning to those times thus the medicine and trying to hide things.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode210_zps8543a335.jpg
Yeah bro. We got your back. Whatever you need. Gang members with style.
Aoba does a few things after going upstairs to take a nap. Some things that might be clues later on in the series. For some reason he calls Trip and Virus to ask about the whole Rhyme thing. Like um hi guys I was laying here very attractively in bed and I know I haven't talked to you that much lately but...have I ever played Rhyme? I thought it was kinda odd because Virus and Trip seem like more acquaintances that life long friends that know Aoba that well. So I guess they were around for this random accident? So Aoba might have played Rhyme, was....involved in something he wasn't proud of, and has everyone's numbers in his little phone of fun. I see. The two nontwins were having their “team” beat up people while this entire conversation was going on because that is how cool and calm they are. Except they are worried this is related to another “team”, this rumored event long ago.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode211_zps0f618ec0.jpg
My head exploded from all this adorableness!
Ren and Aoba had a moment folks. A very cute moment. I was slightly spoiled on what might happened with this Ren character due to slightly.....err.....naked? pictures I saw all over the internet when I was just trying to get ONE pic for the Summer Anime List post so.....this cute moment is cuter in that context I suppose. I am not a big dog fan myself but when doggies are that size they are tolerable. And cute. Like a cat. My husband then likes to say well most people don't consider those dogs so.....ANYWAY....Ren is a robot with AI which blurs the line of who is a “person” and what is a machine. I am sure that will be a theme within this show. And while Aoba is getting ads and sees people with more up to date Allmates Aoba wants to keep Ren. So surely these robots are real and human like in some way yes? Aoba fixes Ren and Ren is adorable by trying to change how he talks to please Aoba. Just...a moment of cuteness and head touching. Loved it. Lets stop here before robot Ren is run over by a car or something else horrible happens. Protect Aoba's pants Ren!
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode213_zps4ad50455.jpg
Got my headphones, all is well.
After Ren and Aoba have their moment Aoba has another headache. Kid can't catch a break. It seems it is not due to this attack but due to his accident, a preexisting condition. It seems as if there is a reason for Aoba having those giant headphones always around his neck. He hooks them up and listens to music when things get awful in his head. HMMM I wonder what that could symbolize? Aoba doesn't explain much about this symptom and he doesn't get much rest either as his childhood friend Koujaku comes over for dinner. This seems to be a typical thing given how Granny, Aoba, and Koujaku were acting. Almost like one big happy family. Stop being lazy, you are a grump when you wake up. Just..so cute and adorable really. Unlikely family indeed. Lets stop here before anyone ends up dead on the side of the road. I don't think Granny is going to make it to the end of this series, do you?
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode214_zps2f318f7d.jpg
...Does Koujaku wake Aoba up often....
For some reason Koujaku was invited to take a shower/bath in the house? Was he spending the night? Is this going to be a Koujaku/Aoba ending? Usually childhood friends don't end up together in animes because...well I don't know why. Just because. But Koujaku is really, really, REALLY close friends with Aoba. Close enough that Aoba has a special ash tray just for the man. That in Aoba's room Koujaku doesn't seem so...rough I guess. He likes being away from the crowds, looking out into the boring alley way and what not. Soon talk turned to how Aoba was dragged into a random Rhyme game. I thought that Koujaku would have looked more pissed to be honest. He was kinda...calm about it. Well I mean not raging against the machine like I thought he was going to be, especially learning when it was on his turf. Maybe Aoba didn't make it sound so awful. Either way Aoba wants Koujaku and Mizuki to talk this out. Mizuki is worried about his “team” and the rumors of Morphine and what not. Koujaku could have made the scene a bit cuter if he joked about spending the night in Aoba's room to guard over him but I guess there were too many other scenes going on. Gotta show all the other guys doing their other guy things or something.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode219_zps1ee0c381.jpg
Or not. You know. They either get bored or not and we all die from this insanity.
Koujaku does go and see Mizuki. Before Mizuki sees that guy though he sees ANOTHER guy. Or maybe this blond hair kid works at the tattoo parlor and gave Mizuki a picture? Maybe that is what is going on. Not sure what his name is but I think the drawing kid is the blond kid that was running in the alley earlier in the episode minus all the piercings. Anyway Koujaku and Mizuki do eventually talk. Despite being on different “teams” the two seem to get along. I think that has to do with Aoba but whatever. Mizuki is really against Rhyme while Koujaku tolerates it. Probably because it is better to allow his team members to do it rather than them quit the team. Still they are set in their ways and worry about what could happen. All this Spirited Away and Morphine business. So many names folks, so many names.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode218_zps970c74c4.jpg
You probably shouldn't touch him....might get cooties.
While Koujaku and Mizuki are having tea with each other Aoba goes off to work. His boss almost says in passing that the package that Aoba failed to deliver was a prank anyway. Like oh yeah I know you were feeling yucky yesterday but don't worry about paying me back, it was a prank delivery. Like um that would make me nervous that someone was calling my employee out to an area to jump him. At least Aoba and Ren are on the same page about this insanity. Now they will sit down and talk about this issue. Or...or...the guy with the gas mask will fall from the roof and pass out in the street to scare the crap out of Aoba. Then he will wake up and declare Aoba his Master because. Because folks because. Everyone loves Aoba. If I were Aoba I would have called the police but maybe he is still feeling a bit woozy. This gas mask kid claims to be named Clear and is certain Aoba is his master despite him...preferring the battle Rhyme Aoba it seems. Clear left as quickly as he came, probably because Aoba told him to go home. I am sure we will see more of him later.
 photo dramaticalmurderepisode220_zps55ebaa73.jpg
Maybe you can find me later? I am a bit done with crazy people today.
Okay now that the weird kid is gone Aoba and Ren can talk about how they were pulled into a battle on purpose. Or or...the guy with the bandaids who was just at Mizuki's can come in and be all creepy. Looking for something indeed. So yeah. This kid must be the bunny boy as he left Mizuki's on purpose to find Aoba, his opponent from yesterday. But I guess that makes no sense as he shouldn't know Aoba anyway. Unless pre accident Aoba was in Rhyme. Either way Aoba is not going to have time to think about who called in the phoney package. Maybe because this is the guy who did it or this blond kid is someone else that Aoba needs to worry about and the bunny is a different person that knows Aoba. Goes pre accident Aoba has many issues doesn't he? Tons of pairing for Aoba always woohoo! So....will we see another forced Rhyme battle or will piercing boy take the mask boy approach and be all weird and cryptic? Guess we will find out next time!

Tokyo Ghoul episode 2

 photo tokyoghoulepisode217_zpsc618918a.jpg
If this is Toka's understanding face I don't want to see her angry ones....
Woohoo another post tonight! Well this morning. I guess it is morning for most people. I probably should get myself back on a better sleep schedule but it is hard. I am such a night owl. Plus Big Brother After Dark is addicting, even if watching people do dishes for 43904 hours is boring. I can't help it; I love horrible reality tv shows! So while I am up I might as well blog right? Up now is Tokyo Ghoul episode 2. Spoilers for Kaneki finding his inner Ghoul.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode23_zps684f9a81.jpg
Even if this Ghoul hates your guts?
Episode Summary: Toka shoves the human flesh into Kaneki's mouth. Kaneki refuses to swallow and throws it up, saying he refuses to be a monster like the rest of the Ghouls. Toka does not take kindly to this, screaming about cake, Kaneki having a cushy life, and how she has had a lousy life. She appears to toss parts of the dead human at Kaneki and kicks him around some more for being ungrateful. She smells him and decides he really isn't a Ghoul and there is no place for him. She suggests he starves to death to prove a point. Her boss from the cafe appears and tells her that is enough, that it is their policy to help other Ghouls out. Yoshimura takes Kaneki (and Toka) back to the cafe where the older man makes Kaneki some coffee. Kaneki is surprised it doesn't taste like crap. Yoshimura explains this is the only thing humans and Ghouls can both consume but they still need to eat to survive. Yoshimura gives Kaneki some flesh and says he can come back at any time. Kaneki leaves and Toka throws a mini fit until Yoshimura explains that Kaneki has received Rize's organs and this is a delicate case. Kaneki takes the flesh home where he has crazy attacks of wanting to eat it and Rize is...floating around in his brain egging him on. He is about to eat the flesh when a text from Hide sends him back into normal land. Kaneki puts on an eye patch and gets himself to school, reading texts that a lonely Hide sent him. Hide comes out of nowhere and clearly has missed the boy. Kaneki has a hard time focusing because he remembered Hide being upset and missing him when he missed school before, during a parent's death. Hide continues on talking about his rude upperclassmen in the club and how he has to go see him. Kaneki follows and they end up interrupting Nishiki making out with a young lady. Nishiki starts to go on about his territory...when he sees Kaneki and is all evil smiles. Kaneki has a mini heart attack while Nishiki and Hide talk about borrowing things and going to Nishiki's house. Fearing for his friend's life Kaneki insists on coming. On the way Nishiki buys everyone a treat and even eats it himself which makes Kaneki marvel at the Ghoul's ability to fit in.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode218_zpsd1c2bb37.jpg
Mouse burgers?
Kaneki continues to look at his treat while Nishiki and Hide walk ahead. Without warning Nishiki kicks Hide 38473 miles down an empty alley and no one...sees anything the entire time this and the rest of the events happen. Of course Kaneki is super upset but he doesn't have much time to do anything as Nishiki kicks his ass too. Kaneki tries to fight back but clearly he is a little fly attacking a dog. Nishiki has the time to hurt Kaneki, throw up all the tasty/nasty treat on Hide, and stomp on Hide's head a half dozen times. Nishiki starts bashing Kaneki for lying to Hide, keeping him around to be a tasty treat for later. Kaneki says that Hide is friend, not food and attempts to attack again. Kaneki and the ground plus his blood are not having a great time. Nishiki grows a bit tired of all this fight and wants to go ahead and eat Hide. Kaneki lays there on the ground and thinks about how Hide has always been there for him, even when Kaneki had no friends. Hide still was trying to be friends despite Kaneki treating him badly lately. He can't allow Nishiki to eat him. Suddenly Kaneki goes all....well Rize on Nishiki's ass. She seems to take control of the boy and all that red stuff comes out of Kaneki like he means business. At first Nishiki thinks this is funny but soon realizes Rize is in Kaneki and he is screwed. Everything turns into a techno color mess as Kaneki uses that...red stuff in his back to either hurt or kill Nishiki. It is hard to tell due to censors. He is down for the count anyway. Now that Hide is saved everything is okay. Or not as Rize gets in Kaneki's head and tells him what a tasty treat Hide really is. Kaneki's hunger takes over despite the fact he tries really, really hard not to hurt his friend. Before he can do something awful Toka appears. Kaneki in his insane state thinks that he can take on Toka. There is a battle and....Kaneki wakes up feeling like crap and with a very.....odd taste in his mouth. He seems to immediately know it is flesh and worries he ate Hide. The older man running the cafe, Yoshimura appears at the door and guides Kaneki to another room where Hide is sleeping peacefully yet slightly injured. Kaneki takes a moment to appreciate the life of his friend but he knows that Yoshimura fed him someone and there is no turning back. That if he remains the way he is he might attack Hide again and if he goes to the Ghoul side he would be cut off from the human world. He starts to cry as he thinks he belongs nowhere. Yoshimura implies that Kaneki needs to eat to keep things like that from happening again, that Toka helped Kaneki out. The older man then explains to Kaneki that they are here to help other Ghouls and that Kaneki with his one Ghoul eye and one human eye is in the middle of both worlds. Yoshimura offers to help Kaneki, that he can stay here and learn what Ghouls are really about and not just what he has heard. That they are not all heartless creatures. Kaneki seems to say yes as we see Toka in her room looking more like a normal kid rather than an out of control vampire thing. On top of the aquarium roof two “men” seem to be investigating the Ghouls and what has been happening lately. THE END!
 photo tokyoghoulepisode220_zps893f57dc.jpg
So did he hear what Kaneki just said?
See folks. See how this episode differs from Glasslip episode 2? Not everything was explained yet I know they will be explained. There has been a promise of explanation. Unlike Glasslip where I think that is it. The special...thing about the show was said almost in passing and like everyone should know about it and it's done. With this show I know there will be more thus it will be worth watching. Unless this show makes my head explode and Glasslip does explain things thus making me a giant liar.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode2_zps76874a8d.jpg
Oh I think this won't end well for Kaneki....
When we last saw our hero (or you know...poor tortured boy with no reason to live at this point) a “helpful” Ghoul shoved some dead person meat in his mouth. To help him out. Thanks. Kaneki decided this thanks deserved to be puked out onto the sidewalk. I would have done the same. Even though Kaneki is probably dying of hunger at this point he wants to remain “human” and not eat anyone. I think the best way to go about it though would be to kill himself so he won't accidentally go crazy but then we wouldn't have a show. Kaneki is pissed at this help and proceeds to tell Toka what he thinks of her and her food. Maybe Kaneki's goal is to get Toka to kill him because yeah...she was not happy to hear his ungrateful words. Sounds like she might not be on board with being a Ghoul too? Might be too early to tell but she is bitter, especially about cake and how Kaneki is judging her. That is always the case though in these kinds of shows. We see cattle as food, aliens see us as food, ect ect. Just we seem to have it in our minds since we view ourselves with self awareness that makes us more worthy to eat. I am sure if cows started communicating to us tomorrow in a way that we would understand we might be less incline to eat them. Maybe.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode24_zps36f0271f.jpg
So I can drink the coffee, to wash down the people taste?
Before Toka can kill Kaneki the owner of the cafe Toka works at, Yoshimura, shows up. Perhaps the voice of reason. Toka is super strong but she listens to the man. He gets Kaneki back to the cafe and gets some coffee in the boy. Because even in this show monsters can taste coffee. Blood-C flashbacks. But one cannot live on coffee alone which causes Yoshimura to give Kaneki some human flesh to go. I think if maybe it was packaged different Kaneki might have been okay with it? Maybe? But Kaneki is still not in the right frame of mind for details or gratefulness. He is just like oh okay so this is cafe de Ghouls got it and leaves. Toka is pissed Yoshimura came to help because I guess she forgot she helped the kid too? Yoshimura who watches the news tells Toka that poor Kaneki got Rize the insane's organs and that is why he is a weird Ghoul/human hybrid. So maybe being nice to him isn't all about help for Kaneki but maybe help for their kind? In any event we need to on team Kaneki so no killing the boy.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode25_zpsfc55ba0b.jpg
So clearly we must feel bad for him.
Unfortunately Kaneki might just end up dead himself. He sat there staring at the package of flesh. He grew so hungry, like it was calling his name. Maybe he could just pretend it is his lovely hamburger? I don't sit there and think oh look at that dead cow. Maybe Kaneki can ask Yoshimura and the man can lie and say it was the flesh of someone really bad, someone who deserved to die. For now Kaneki is just going to stare at the flesh while Rize the floaty voice in his head drives him crazy. DO IT! Eat the flesh you half and half kid. So tasty, so yummy. Again in what universe is it okay to randomly put organs into someone else?! I guess it is better that Rize getting her blood on Kaneki and him getting infected that way. We would have a lot more Ghouls that way I suppose.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode26_zps8cd56b90.jpg
You are my rabbit soul mate!
Kaneki is brought out of his trance because Hide the never ending friend calls. Brings Kaneki back into the land of humans. Kaneki is going to brush his hair and his teeth, find some clean clothes, and go to school. For Hide. The only person left in his life since his parents are dead and he is not good at making friends. How cute was Hide when Kaneki finally did arrive back at school. Rabbits DIE alone. ALONE! Hide was alone in the world without his best friend. Does Hide really have to die folks? I just feel as if he is toast and there is nothing that can save the boy, especially when he is being 15 kinds of adorable. Such cruelness. I think Hide being such a friend really did help Kaneki out. I mean life is still really hard but despite ignoring the boy for days Hide is still there for him. Maybe...maybe Kaneki will be okay with at least one stable force in his life.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode28_zpsfce2d85d.jpg
Everyone is Kaneki's life is a Ghoul now.
And then Kaneki meets Hide's club member and his world came crashing down. After Nishiki is done groping a random girl in the club room it is all evil smiles towards Kaneki's direction. I mean...the words he was saying sounded almost playful to Hide but to Kaneki he knows exactly what this territory business means. I don't think Hide and Nishiki are grand friends to begin with but a level of respect has to be maintained since Hide is the younger one. So while Hide is off thinking Nishiki is being Nishiki Kaneki is losing his mind thinking he and his only friend are dead. So while I am sure Kaneki wanted to run like hell or maybe call Toka out of desperation he put on his brave face to make sure Nishiki didn't take Hide back to his house and eat him. Kaneki even took time on the short walk to marvel at the fact that Nishiki fits right in with society, looking like a normal human being and eating food that should make him sick. I think if Kaneki thought about it it would really freak him out that Ghouls are people too...meaning there are many out there and what not. But he just kept walking, not eating his snack and all.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode210_zps26bebd69.jpg
Best screenie I could get. Sorry.
Nishiki kicking Hide across the alley almost gave me a heart attack. Like I was that shocked. I knew that something was going to happen later and that Hide's days are probably really numbered in this anime but I didn't think it was going to be today. I figured that Nishiki would make Kaneki squirm or something. A bit of torture/fun for him. And that maybe Nishiki would attack Kaneki directly as maybe Nishiki was really Hide's friend. But nope we are all walking around and bam Hide goes flying. Kaneki goes flying too but since we already saw Kaneki get beat up it wasn't as jarring. Kinda expecting Kaneki to get some knocks with these crazy Ghouls. I really could have done without Nishiki throwing up on Hide. I think we had enough throw up last episode. But I guess it wasn't that bad. Just that Nishiki seemed....really crazy at some points. Like oh you were going to eat your friend Kaneki?!?!? Maybe Nishiki had marked Hide for noms and it seems as Kaneki keeps “stealing” from Nishiki. Or the guy is crazy and like to hurt people and needs the tiniest excuse to do it. Either way there was Hide head stompin, Kaneki hurting, and Nishiki making crazy face time.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode213_zps7c8996e9.jpg
...Not my friend Hide....
As Nishiki is looking for the A-1 sauce to make Hide taste extra amazing (might want to clean up your vomit there buddy) Kaneki lays there on the ground, broken and defeated. His friend is going to be killed and there is nothing he can do to stop it. Since I don't know the Ghoul world I don't know if it is typical to befriend those you plan on eating. So while Kaneki is there blaming himself for dragging Hide into this Nishiki might have targeted the boy anyway during class. Kaneki doesn't know this so he has to think back to his entire friendship with Hide and how losing him would be losing the last person in the world he cares about and that cares about him. Kaneki has lost both of his parents at separate times in his life and it has been implied that Hide has been there for him. Even though Hide was the new kid in town and should have been the one approached to be friends. But Kaneki was off reading and not talking to anyone and Hide brought him back to people. Made sure the kid was okay. Brought him all the treats while he was in the hospital. While the boy might tease him sometimes Hide dying would ruin Kaneki forever, probably more than eating a random stranger.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode214_zpsa87be637.jpg
Errr....don't hurt Hide or else?
Since all seems lost a magical moment has to occur. Because anime. Just as Nishiki goes to start eating the bleeding and unconscious Kaneki and his one eye manages to get up. And he is not looking....well really good. I am sure part of it has to do with the fact that Kaneki is starving himself and he nearly died a few weeks ago. But a big part of Kaneki looking like a crazy person has to do with Rize. She is the reason why he is part Ghoul and apparently she was super strong one before she was impaled to death. XD So...yeah Kaneki transforms from a wimpy kid who was crying on the ground to some badass fighting for his friend/half possessed by a dead woman. I think that Nishiki really underestimated Kaneki. Which is fine since he didn't know about the Rize connection until he saw the red stuff started coming out of Kaneki. I am sure I will learn about that term and keep it in my head later. XD For now it is red stuff. So I think that Nishiki was slightly amused that Kaneki was fighting for the food Hide but then realized that Kaneki was actually Rize fighting for a friend. REVENGE! I do like that the battle got...artistic to cover up the sheer violence of the moment but maybe the censor could have covered up....oh I don't know....a tiny bit less of the screen. Because that half of inch of actual animation verses the black square that took up 95 percent of the screen made it hard for me to figure out if Nishiki is dead or not. I mean I don't know if Ghouls regenerate or can heal but......I am not even sure if Nishiki has his head on anymore. So while I know censors are super fun for everyone can we do it in a way that we can get what is going on without seeing it? Thanks.
 photo tokyoghoulepisode216_zps36155ed8.jpg
Just eat your friend. It's better this way anyway since he got his head stomped on 127 million times.
This Rize helps comes at a price though. It appeared that Rize came and Kaneki was able to kick butt to save Hide's life. No folks no. Rize seems to want to eat Hide. Is this lady living on in his body or is it just instinct? Like does she really have control of his body and his Ghoul side is just taking on the for of Rize so it can overtake him better? Does that make sense? Is it Rize or is it Ghoul behavior? Either way I guess it doesn't matter at this point as she/it is telling Kaneki how tasty Hide is and how dare Nishiki try to take him from us. Look how delicious he is. Now Kaneki DID try to fight the voice in his head and the instinct taking him over but in the end he was...looking pretty nasty and hungry and he probably would have eaten Hide. :( Which I am sure he will dwell on for the rest of the series despite not actually eating Hide. Just the fact that he almost did. Thank goodness for Toka and her I don't care self showing up and pretending to care. Like um this is your friend, you will thank me later. Then I am sure she beat Kaneki up some more because he hasn't been through enough you know?
 photo tokyoghoulepisode219_zps877c5a66.jpg
Can I please go back to my cafe and my friend picking on me please?!
Kaneki wakes up and immediately panics. I think I would too given the last few weeks the kid has gone through. And you know...he had lost of his mind and tried to eat his best friend Hide when monster Ghoul Queen Toka shows up. So I think we can forgive the boy for thinking the worst when he was no longer hungry, his mouth had...substance in it, and Hide was looking pretty awful on the ground due to the head beating he got. But it appears he has woken up in the cafe. Well the apartment above the cafe. Ghouls gotta pay the bills some how. I bet Kaneki will be all freaking out when he learns that all the people who work at his local cafe are Ghouls. Anyway Yoshimura quickly reassures Kaneki and takes him to see the sleeping Hide. I am not sure if he was completely sleeping though. He either woke up after the conversation or during it. We don't know what he knows but he is alive to make us worry for his safety again weeee!
 photo tokyoghoulepisode215_zps87f7b15f.jpg
So like...is he dead or not?
So what was the conversation that Hide might have heard? Well Kaneki was super happy that he didn't eat his friend but it is obvious that Yoshimura fed him someone. Kaneki ate part of a human being so by his logic he is no longer human. If he never eats flesh again he will go crazy and might turn on his lovely friend, the only important person left in his life. In Kaneki's eyes he belongs no where and will suffer by himself since both worlds don't want him and he especially doesn't want the Ghoul world. Well Yoshimura chimes in and says that Kaneki is a different kind of Ghoul. He is part human, part Ghoul. He can maybe still belong to both worlds. But he needs to learn what it is to be a Ghoul. He points out that Toka and her complete lack of tact has saved him several times so maybe she isn't as bad as she seems. In any event Kaneki needs to eat something or he will go crazy which will probably affect the entire Ghoul world. Like um hello humans are focused on us now thanks to these overeaters and we can't be having that. Come, let us show you our ways and maybe we won't seem so bad to you. Will this be more of the Nishiki point of view, humans are like cattle? Or will Nishiki really explain why there are Ghouls and that they aren't the scum of the Earth? Yoshimura frames it like Kaneki has the option to stay at the cafe but really...he doesn't have many choices in life now. Might as well stick around and hope the flesh he is being fed came from a child molester or something. Anything to make him feel better. And then maybe in the next episode he can find out more about the whole origin of the Ghouls? You know...so he can feel better. Not for me to know or anything? XD

Glasslip episode 2

 photo glasslipepisode29_zps2fc0d656.jpg
Thanks Touko. I might be saying that a lot....
YAWN! Old lady in the house. Get off my lawn and all that crap. Actually I do want to scream to my neighbors all the time get off my porch but that is another story I suppose. But yeah I need to get some motivation up in here right now to get things done. I made a list of things to get accomplished today and I want the satisfaction of crossing quite of few of them off before my head hits the pillow. I might fail but I can at least try yes? Try I must of course! Up now is Glasslip episode 2. Spoilers for maybe some of these kids being messed up.
 photo glasslipepisode26_zps2cd4c7ba.jpg
Oh snap I am see mountains and snow and dead kids.
Episode Summary: Everyone continues to glare at Kakeru and act like he is the devil. Not Hiro though who is curious on what Touko and Kakeru saw together. Sachi wants to know how Kakeru knew how they were here and Kakeru is like meet me tomorrow at 11 and walks away. Yanagi decides to stop being concerned and tells Touko to go out with the dude while Yuki fumes. Sachi agrees to go with Touko to the meeting so everything goes well and shoots down Hiro's idea of everyone going. Hiro tries to figure out girls later and his older sister makes fun of him. Everyone is then seen spending their evening doing what they want including Yuki running and Touko making glass jewelry. She seems unfocused because of the Kakeru issue. The next morning Kakeru is laying around and listening to classical music when he hears Touko's voice say “Have you found your fragment?”. He says he has slipped up, implying he needs to be more careful. He tells his dad not to prepare lunch for him as he has a date. Touko and Sachi go to some special building in their town to wait for Kakeru. Touko gives Sachi the glass piece she made last night and Sachi acts like the happiest girl in the world. Turns out the glass piece Touko wears is something Sachi made which also makes Sachi all blush face. Kakeru walks in and Sachi is immediately on edge. She wants Kakeru to leave Touko alone but Kakeru says he can solve one of Touko problems, that he knows she SEES things. Touko immediately is interested and wants to talk to Kakeru. Sachi agrees to wait downstairs but tells Kakeru they don't allow dating in their group. Kakeru jumps into asking about Touko's ability/things she sees. He then apologizes for hearing her future voice earlier that morning. She acts confused for half a second but then decides she understands as this is the first time she has HEARD a voice during a vision. Kakeru says this is the first time he has SEEN something while hearing a voice. He calls these events fragments. She seems confused that these are future events and Kakeru says she probably has a trigger. She implies it is glass so Kakeru steps closer to her so she can look into her glass necklace. She has a vision of her friends leaving her behind on a train and her saying I want to see the future. She seems confused and Kakeru says when they are together they can hear and see the future. He gives her his number in case she wants to work together. Touko doesn't really give many details to Sachi later and Sachi is all like I will cut him if he hurts you.
 photo glasslipepisode23_zpsb6cc5417.jpg
No one cares about me!
Hiro is at home making a confession sign for Sachi so his sister teases him. The sister also mentions seeing Sachi at the hospital, somewhere she goes frequently. Yuki on his run sees Kakeru and he has to do the man thing and run past him to show off his ability. Yanagi yells later for Kakeru over doing it being on man like. She helps him with the cool down process where Yuki mutters something about Kakeru and losing. Yanagi puts the pieces together and panics. She calls Touko and says she wants to confess to someone. Touko immediately guesses Yuki, thinking they would make a cute couple. Yanagi thinks Yuki likes someone else but Touko tells her everything will be okay. Yanagi mentions leaving the group but Touko is like nope all will be fine. She then goes to dinner with her family who talk about the parent's first date or something else boring and not important to the story. Hiro, Sachi, and Yuki gather at the cafe first as Yanagi is at a class. Yuki wants to know about the event yesterday but Sachi has not many details since she left the room. Touko arrives and Hiro says they are going hiking tomorrow exciting. Touko interrupts him, saying they are now opened for dating. Hiro never realized that was a rule and Yuki is confused. Touko wishes him luck and Sachi and Yuki misunderstand her. Yanagi arrives at the cafe to find everyone but Hiro gone. She plans on taking a slight break but freaks out when Hiro tells her of the new dating rule. Homegirl RUNS off towards her house in silly high heels. Touko and Yuki had just reached the bend in the road where they go in different directions when Yuki says he wants to talk. Touko really misunderstands on what is going to happen and encourages Yuki to be more honest...confess maybe. Yanagi and her ugly hair ribbon appear around the corner as Yuki confesses to Touko. She freaks, thanks the boy, and bikes off at the speed of fast. Yuki sits down sad and Yanagi walks up pretending not to have heard anything and leads Yuki home. At her house Touko is really freaking out over what has happened and that she needs to fix things. She calls Kakeru and tells him she wants to see the future. When she says that she realizes she has fulfilled the vision she saw of herself saying the exact same thing. THE END!

Wait...you don't like us?!
Hmmm...I am thinking I might not like this series after all. I thought it was going to be more slice of life cuteness but after this episode I am rethinking things. I am probably way over analyzing things and it is too soon to tell for certain things but yeah...I am just getting a weird vibe from this show. Like it is trying to be more realistic than WOOHOO happy all the time shows and MOG TERRIBLE things all the time shows. Like this would be the more likely result.
 photo glasslipepisode28_zps4deb56e6.jpg
Woohoo that was the introduction folks! And possibly the conclusion.
You know if this show didn't have people hearing and seeing the future. Then it would be the more likely result. But that is another issue that I take with this show. Not that people have super natural powers but the nature in which it was explained. Or not explained. I know this is only episode 2 and there are plenty of time left to explain Touko and Kakeru's magical powers...I really, really don't think that is going to happen. I mean the way this show is set up they might have a flashback of when Touko was younger and had a vision while looking at some glass but other than that...I really don't think it is going to get explained. I get that not everything is world needs to be explained. I just feel...it is hard to explain how I feel. I feel as if this really important plot point was just glossed over. Barely introduced. Thrust onto the viewers and all the characters already know about this issue and probably won't explain it at all. Like oh yeah Touko has done this whatever. And Kakeru can do it too. It is just hard to verbalize why I think this leaves a bad taste in my mouth, at the confusing way this plot point was introduced and talked about.
 photo glasslipepisode22_zps10605e30.jpg
How these kids are such flip floppers?
So 6 days after I started this post...let me figure out where I was going with all of this. So remember all that grand standing and evil faces made at Kakeru? How a lot of the kids were acting like Kakeru was this great evil despite not even knowing the kid and the chicken story? Well nothing came from it. They seriously are insane. They are a tiny group of friends who probably made a pact dipped in their own blood and any outsider would be looked upon with contempt. Despite looking slightly...derpy/happy Touko doesn't seem like the kind of heroine that would need help 24/7 and needs to be protected at all times because she likes taking candy from strangers and what not. I could be wrong. Maybe she got burned in the past because of her visions and what not. Just I thought all this glaring and evilness/over protectiveness from the kids was SUPER CREEPY but then it receded. Like um no, we weren't being super suspicious a few minutes ago, what are you talking about?
 photo glasslipepisode210_zpsea5c37d7.jpg
Hiro has not been informed of the tenseness in case anyone hasn't noticed.
If Kakeru felt any of that weirdness he didn't say much. He was more like...okay I acknowledge you all exist but only Touko is important. He tells Touko to meet him somewhere tomorrow because....well because. They see and hear things, he has spiked her interest. I sorta wanna know how he knew they hung out at this cafe but maybe it will be shown later this is Blood-C and this is literally the only other building in town. Kakeru and his smooth self tells Touko what to do which puts everyone on the defensive. Well Sachi and Yuki who love Touko anyway. Yanagi probably wants Touko to be murdered by this dude so she can end up with Yuki. Hiro just wants to know what is going on. He offers to help and Sachi is like dude you don't understand girls!!! I would like to think that these friends were really close at one point but then all the crazy hormones took over and it got tense and what not.
 photo glasslipepisode25_zpseb0a7982.jpg
Oh I am SURE this will end well....
ANYWAY it is decided that Sachi will go with Touko to see this weird new kid Kakeru. Hiro probably genuinely wanted to help his friend, like we should all go and help Touko! Instead he is told he doesn't understand girls. He goes home to think about girls and his older sister decides that laughing at him was better than actually helping him. To be fair trying to understand girls really doesn't work if you think of us girls as the same entity. We are all different and crazy in our own ways. Still poor Hiro. Yanagi probably spends her whole evening thinking of what new ugly bow to wear. Seriously I want to burn all her bows. When trying to learn how spell these character's names I learned that this girl is in modeling school or something. Well....yeah. She needs to model those bows to the trash. Touko spends her evening worrying about this Kakeru kid and can't really focus on the glass bead she is making. I always stop and watch the glass makers when I go to Disney World although my husband appreciates it more. Just sorta cool of something can be so liquidy and pushed into position with the spinning and what not. Plus I be scared to death that I would burn myself! Touko is able to semi make the bead and think about her confusing life so I stand by my decision to think she is not a damsel in distress.
 photo glasslipepisode24_zpsd19df848.jpg
Kakeru is hearing the future! Maybe he can see dead people too?
The next day arrives, when Kakeru is supposed to meet up with Touko even though she doesn't want to. He has to get into the mood by listening to classical music and looking calm and peaceful. Not the chicken threatener he was the other day. Suddenly he hears Touko's voice and he is all CRAP. I was too. Like hello I thought he heard HIS voice from the future. You liar synopsis you. Oh and it looks like Touko lives with his dad. Parents must be divorced so him coming to town isn't as odd. Or fateful. He didn't come looking for Touko, things just happened. So that makes his....wanting to talk to her right awayness that much more interesting. Or odd. Anyway he goes on his way to meet Touko who has made it to the building first with Sachi. Turns out the bead she made was for Sachi as Sachi has made one for Touko in the past. Touko seems to wear it all the time and all this bead giving makes Sachi very happy. BLUSHY FACES! Hiro...I am not seeing this end well for you. In fact I started to see QueerRats again and nearly died.
 photo glasslipepisode27_zps4beca22a.jpg
And now I will leave. But don't come near her!
When Kakeru arrives to this amazing building of memories and town sentimentalness Sachi goes into Touko is MINE and you better back off. Sorta reminds me of me and how I think I am a giant dog when I am a tiny mouse pretending to bark. Just...amusing. Then she leaves after 5 seconds. All this build up and Kakeru is like what can I do to earn your trust...and she leaves the room. THE TRUST WAS NOT EARNED! He did say he was going to be able to help Touko out, implying the vision thing, and Touko says she is going to be okay but still. Sachi was all glary and just left so easily. What happened to not trusting Touko's ability to be around strangers? Maybe Kakeru just tricked her!!! Whatever the reason Sachi goes to wait downstairs because that is helpful but not before telling Kakeru they don't allow dating their group. Just through that out there. Guess we know why the tension exists now...

After Sachi goes downstairs to glare holes into the ceiling Kakeru and Touko go outside to talk about their abilities. This is where things get confusing and eye rolling. Touko plays dumb at first but then soon caves in and then the two are talking about how they hear/see things like they are life long friends just waiting for someone to understand them. Sorta like how everyone knows the words to a Disney song without practicing before. To break this down for sanity's sake Touko has been able to see things for a long time, helped with the presence of glass. Kakeru has been able to hear his own voice, perhaps with the help of music. But when Kakeru was walking by the festival and crossed Touko's path they could both hear AND see a fragment of the future. So Kakeru is convinced that they were meant to meet and complete their powers. Like when we are together we will be more powerful and can see the future. For some reason, without knowing Touko, he thinks this will help her. Take away one of her problems. Perhaps Touko doesn't want to see things? Maybe that is why her friends want to help her? But then Touko starts talking about wait the future? Like she saw these things and didn't know it was the future? Yeah okay. Touko doesn't seem on board for this. I can believe that is realistic. She needs to think this over while Kakeru is like okay..but I know you will see it my way. Have my home phone number as I am not cool enough for a cellphone.
 photo glasslipepisode215_zps7d801bfd.jpg
Too much drama for Touko to handle!
Touko thinks this over by eating ice cream with Sachi. I am not sure how much her friends know about her vision. Maybe they think she is unstable thus they need to protect her? We see 5 seconds of Hiro making a confession sign for Sachi. Like literally the sign only says confession. His sister has to come by to make fun of Hiro and help the audience learn that Sachi might be a pretty sick girl. Not sick enough to avoid hiking but sick enough to avoid crowds at the festival. But most of the action that takes place this day involved Yanagi, Yuki, and clueless Touko. Yuki is a runner. I know people have hobbies but out of all the sports in the world this seems the most boring to me. Then again I love being a couch potato. So Yuki is running along and sees Kakeru running as well. Kakeru is doing this as casual exercise as Yuki is a serious runner. Still Yuki thinks he is being awesome by passing Kakeru. Like yeah I am THE MAN! Only he doesn't really feel like the man. He is worried this kid who has been in town for 2 minutes is going to take his Touko away from him. Yanagi and her silly self is helping Yuki cool down from his work out as it is a sneaky way to touch him without actually being sexual even though it could seem like it hears Yuki getting upset about the Kakeru situation which makes her upset. Yuki is HER man. Because they are step-siblings. I am glad the internet told me this as I might be still barfing, like I said last episode.
 photo glasslipepisode211_zps40f52197.jpg
Yanagi is either very smart or very emotional.
Yanagi seems to be the smartest of this bunch. And the sneakiest. While Hiro is being all pure of heart and cute Yanagi is calculating. I hope all of this is coming across as playful, my words. Unless it turns out all to be true, that Yanagi does want Touko dead and everyone is a crazy person. But for now I am just sorta playing. Maybe even appreciate how more realistic this show is. Instead of allowing others to just “win” the person of their dreams because everyone is too Japanese to speak their mind Yanagi is like hell no bitch I want this boy. So Yanagi put her teenage mind to work and put a plan into motion. She involved Touko and told the girl she (Yanagi) likes Yuki. She did this to see if Touko like Yuki. The girl doesn't but since Touko is a proper Japanese girl if she did like Yuki this confession of Yanagi would cause her to back off. A real win for Yanagi really. Now if only there wasn't this darn rule about dating people in the group....What? Touko is going to get rid of that rule? Fully supports Yuki being with Yanagi and they will be the best couple? Oh thank you Touko. Thank you. * wipes a tear from her eye * And end scene. Thank you Yanagi for that display. Maybe deep down she is a conflicted teenager but most of me believes she wasn't so...sad and concerned about this as she was just marking her territory.
 photo glasslipepisode212_zps6d10a98e.jpg
Maybe Hiro was late to the meeting that day...
Touko sends the night thinking about the situation and sorta ignoring her family who seem to want to bore me each week with their family talks. The next day at the cafe Sachi, Hiro, and Yuki wait for Touko. Worry wort Yuki wants information about the meeting between Touko and Kakeru but since Sachi left the room she has no real info to share. I am surprised that Sachi lived to see the next day. Once Touko gets there Hiro tries to get some of the attention on his poor self for a moment, to talk about their plans to hike but yeah....His news isn't as important as Touko announcing to all that they are opened for dating. For business. DATES FOR EVERYONE! I am sure that this rule came about as a group decision so why does Touko think she can just overthrow it herself? Hiro didn't even know the rule existed! No one seemed to care though as they probably made this rule when they were young and now they are 18 years old and want kisses. WOOHOO!!!
 photo glasslipepisode213_zpse2005f82.jpg
Oh Touko....oh Touko indeed.
Hiro stays behind at the cafe to plot his plan to maybe ask out Sachi when Yanagi rolls up. She was at her modeling class but she can stop for some tea. Only Hiro is once again is ignored as Yanagi is informed of the new we can date rule. OPEN FOR BUSINESS! I am sure Yanagi realizes that Touko did it for her. She was more worried about Yuki getting ideas that he is allowed to like Touko back. In fact that little rule was probably the only thing keeping Yuki from shutting his mouth. TIME TO RUN! And girl can run you know. In those tiny little heels off she went down the road to stop Yuki because clearly waiting a day or two would be silly. Yuki is going to confess now.
 photo glasslipepisode2_zpsbe2e6a1b.jpg
Fix this now new kid!
And confess he did. Touko was sitting there thinking that Yuki was going to ask out Yanagi and her friends were going to be happy forever. Like yes I have helped them, I am the best person ever. Instead Yuki and his nervous self confesses to Touko accidentally in front of Yanagi. Touko.......could only manage a thank you before escaping. Yanagi acted all cool, calm, and collected about the situation. Like let's go home you goob. But both are hurt. Touko seems hurt too. I am sure she blames herself. Like no this isn't what I wanted what have I done?! If only I could see the future and fix this...wait I CAN!!! Time to call Kakeru and make it a self fulling prophecy. So is the rest of the show going to be Touko seeing how bad things can turn out if she doesn't interfere? Or will it be more light hearted? Like yes it looked like something bad happened but we all laughed about it in the end so I shouldn't have tried to change it? I am not sure how effective this will be but I guess Touko is going to try. Maybe this will be a lesson about communication and not just assuming things. Or maybe Yanagi will put Yuki's head in a bag and carry it around. We shall see!

 photo Lovestageepisode115_zpsea13077b.jpg
Will I have luck drawing manga or is this an acting luck charm only?
Episode Summary: Our main character Izumi starts off by talking/dreaming of finding the door that will lead to his future and how he may never find it. Then we the viewers happen upon a wedding day where the married couple throws the banquet and a young girl and boy catch the flowers and smile. The “young girl” then wakes up as HE was dreaming about this day. He then says good morning to his poster....Magical Girl LalaLulu. He goes into the kitchen and quietly eats his breakfast as his mom talks about how she wants better jobs, like working with the famous Ryouma who appears on their TV in a car commercial. As Izumi eats he explains his mom is a famous actress, his dad is a singer/musician/owner of a talent agency, his brother is a rock star, and his grandparents were famous too. All are helped by the assistant Rei. Izumi tries to be ignored but his mother asks about the vocal and dance lessons he apparently is not going to. He runs out before his parents can ask more questions and explains he has no desire or talent to be in show business. He wants to be a manga artist like the person who does LalaLulu. He sorta...lacks in the drawing department but is practicing and even joined the manga club at his college. He sorta forgets to practice his skills as he spends the entire club time reading mangas but he promises to do better tomorrow. He arrives home to find his parents and Rei playing a commercial they all made 10 years ago called Happy Wedding. This is the part where Izumi played the part of a little girl catching the flowers. Rei explains that the company is doing a special commercial staring the little kids from the first commercial and they want all the previous actors in said commercial. Commercial. Izumi automatically says no and Rei explains the little boy grew up to be the famous Ryouma and his condition to do the commercial is for the girl with the special colored eyes to be in it. Izumi still refuses and tells everyone he is not joining the entertainment business and he is going to be a manga artist. Rei tells Izumi his drawings suck and the boy runs off crying. The mom starts crying about Ryouma and the dad is like no worries Rei will make it better. Rei's face nearly melts off as he makes a call. Izumi is crying in his room, thinking about the doors of his life closing and being forced opened. He thinks back to the commercial, how his mother forced him into the role when the original girl didn't show up. Izumi got so nervous and upset he peed in front of Ryouma. But then he thinks back to when he was told he was good at drawing and realizes he was told he was good at COLORING. He decides...it will be okay and he will practice more. He goes to school the next day with his faceless classmates when some...super stars bursts in and causes a scene.

Izumi drags the man outside and it turns out to be Izumi's super rock star brother Shougo. Shougo has been asked by Rei to get Izumi to do the commercial. Shougo thinks independently that Izumi should be in show business because he is cute. When Izumi once again claims he wants no part of this Shougo bribes his brother with a specialized LalaLuLu alarm clock. Izumi decides to think of this commercial as cosplay and all will be well. Elsewhere Ryouma is seen talking to his manager and is informed the commercial is a go. He is thrilled as the main pic on his cellphone is a pic of baby Izumi in the dress. Rei and the dad work hard on getting the commercial together while Izumi keeps on going to school. He tries to improve his manga drawing skills but each day as his customized alarm clock wakes him up he has less and less pep in his step. The morning of the commercial comes and Izumi is full of puke and worry. He literally has to be dragged to the set despite looking like death. He is given Shougo's prep team to work with as they know he is a man. He wants to melt into a chair but allows them to work their magic. Even Rei is impressed with how girl like Izumi looks now. There is a knock at the door and Ryouma comes in, blushy faces and flowers for Izumi. Rei tries to make it a business conversation but Ryouma is all about Izumi. They are all interrupted with a voice saying it is filming time. Ryouma takes his place while Izumi loses his mind all over the place. Rei does a terrible job in calming the kid down. Izumi tries to shoot the commercial but trips 5 seconds into filming. Everyone is shocked as Izumi cries and remembers how horrible he was from 10 years ago. But he realizes that eventually the commercial got filmed so how did he do it? Ryouma appears before him with a flat little sparkle stone and asks if Izumi needs it again. Izumi remembers Ryouma giving him this lucky charm to calm down the first time. Ryouma smiles and gives it to Izumi again who does calm down. As the credits roll take two is set to start and Izumi is in one piece. Rei starts to freak out because he actually reads the whole script and sees what is going to happen. But it is too late as Izumi full of confidence runs down the isle into Ryouma arms. He thinks to himself how Ryouma is a nice person and not stuck up. Then according to the script Ryouma leads in and kisses the surprised Izumi. THE END!

Self made earthquake oh no!
That was actually...a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Maybe I was just being an art snob again or something. I can do that sometimes. But yeah...I think this could be a cute little series. Obviously it is going to follow similar plots to mangas I have with a few tweaks here and there. But given the other BoyLove anime I am watching this season..I might need something familiar and nonrapey.

Such an annoying name....
However folks...however...I believe if I hear the words Magical Girl LalaLulu one more time I might fall into a deep coma. And by fall I mean I will slam my head into my glass coffee table until unconsciousness reaches me. It might not be that serious but yeah folks. Yeah. I get that Izumi likes the series but I almost had my eardrums burst. Oh and the clock. THAT CLOCK! I hope as the series goes on Izumi won't be as dependent on that series and will grow as a person. I mean...every other word out of my mouth must be Disney or Japan to the casual listener but at least those words don't cause ear worms to take a nap in my skull.

Don't mind me, I am just here...being boring.
So what is this show about? The barebones of it would be that Izumi was born into a super family, all up into the entertainment industy. He is being pressured to find his own place in this flashy world when all he wants to do is draw mangas like Magical Girl LalaLulu. Because his life sucks a popular actor/all around dream boy Ryouma ropes him into doing a commercial and I am sure the rest will be history. For the record everyone is over the top in this show and dramatic...because they are all actors and singers and what not. Expect many antics from this bunch.

Let me be me!!!
Izumi....well he seems nice enough. Average is how I am sure he feels being born into this super popular and hot looking family. Nothing is wrong with average of course. Most of us are average. I am probably below average if you consider my amazing drawing/acting/being in public skills. So I really feel bad for this kid. He just wants to go to college and get a “normal” job away from the spotlight. The spotlight is not for everyone nor should a lot of those people be in it. Sure his drawing skills really, really suck and he should probably go to a technical skill or try another job in the manga field if that is his true calling. But if he doesn't want to be in showbiz that is his right. Eat your breakfast and ignore those around you.
 photo Lovestageepisode17_zps2eb1bd12.jpg
This one commercial ruined his whole life people.
Well Izumi can't. Mom is famous, Dad is famous, brother is famous, and apparently the grandparents were famous. They are all looking at Izumi to be famous too. All the while talking about what an otaku he is. :( I mean...he is a bit obsessed with that annoying show but he seems okay. He goes outside and eats and has goals. He goes to his manga club and doesn't cause waves. Maybe his family should be happy that their black sheep of the family so to speak is...normal. Not causing problems and running around the streets naked or doing drugs. Whatever. So yeah....Izumi knows his limitations and is doing his best but that is not good enough for his family. Woe is his life.

If they aren't important they don't deserve to be fleshed out!
There are several things about this show that make it unique. Like oh yeah Love Stage, the show with such and such. Some shows make fun of the fact that background characters are nobodies. This show follows that new way of being funny and almost breaking the 4th wall by making all the people just barely there sketches. No color and barely any features. This also could be making fun of the fact that Izumi is not a good drawer and is only great a coloring. Another thing this show does is have these random cats come up for comic relief. I don't think they represent...anyone really. They are just there, when Izumi is having a freak out which will be quite often I think or when someone else is having a moment. Make a cute mascot even if your show usually doesn't have one.

Whatever the case may be....Izumi was really cute...
So after we get to know everyone the real meat of the episode plays out. Izumi is living the life of a typical college student and his parents want more for him. It is the exact opposite of the Little Mermaid folks. He returns home from a long day of classes and reading mangas to find Rei and his parents waiting like crazy vultures. They play a commercial they made as a family 10 years ago. HAPPY WEDDING! I love Engrish. I really do. This isn't true Engrish as all the words are said correctly and spelled correct but they just sound funny together. Anyway they all made this commercial and it is really cute. Apparently Izumi doesn't think so as he had to play the part of a little girl as the hired little girl couldn't show up on time. I mean...I don't really care how people portray themselves but if a boy doesn't want to wear a dress he shouldn't have to wear one. I mean...I guess I can relate as I am 30 years old and am consistently mistaken for a high schooler. I would want to be perceived as an adult and Izumi wanted to be portrayed as a boy who...well wasn't cute. Even if he is cute. Anyway his mom was like put my kid in a dress and call it a commercial woohoo!!!
 photo Lovestageepisode19_zpsae3ec53d.jpg
Do they want a repeat of this?
Only it was not all woohoo. Everyone else in the family thought it was cute but Izumi wanted no part in it and peed himself when he messed up on the first take. I am going to guess this really cemented his idea to not be in showbiz. To take a more behind the scenes approach and make mangas. I think that might have scarred me for life too. Like I am a boy and I don't want to wear a dress and act on camera. And look now I have peed in front of another little boy and my life is over. Izumi thought this was all over with but now the company is doing a 10 years later type commercial deal. Which I think is sorta cute. Like oh they caught the flowers and will actually get married type deal. Awesome marketing. Really cute and not forced I feel.
 photo Lovestageepisode18_zps1361f271.jpg
Curse you for being memorable.
Well a bit of force. The little boy in the commercial from ten years ago grew up to be Ryouma, the most famous man in Japan. And he refuses to do the commercial unless all of the original cast comes back. That means...Izumi, put on some depends because you are a bride to be. Izumi of course is not pleased with how everyone is gunho about this opportunity. He hopes that everyone realizes that he is in fact a dude and not a little girl so.....Nope no one cares, they are going to throw a wig on him and call it a day. What about the fact that he doesn't want to do the commercial? Nope no one cares about that either. Mom wants to work with Ryouma and everyone else seems to think this is his big break into the show biz industry. A break that Ryouma doesn't want and hasn't really done a great job explaining that he doesn't want it. He runs off crying and ignores Rei who attempts to tell him he has to do this. No. No I don't. Rei is like my job is certainly on the line now.
 photo Lovestageepisode15_zps81df645f.jpg
But I love drawing!!!!!
While everyone cries over some silly commercial Izumi cries because no one cares about his hopes and dreams. He wants to be a manga artist guys!!! There is a brief moment where I felt bad for him. Someone (I am guessing the artist behind LalaLulu) told Izumi he was doing a good job. Little Izumi thought he meant the drawing but now Izumi realizes it might have been the coloring. I sorta felt bad for him at that moment, thinking he was someone with talent and really it was someone being nice. But...Izumi isn't going to give up. He is going to go to school with his colorless classmates and practice. Practice until his little arms fall off. Yeah it will be all okay. This commercial thing will blow over and he will work to make the next LalaLulu. All is well!
 photo Lovestageepisode110_zps4e50a8bc.jpg
Give us the Lala!
Oh or....Izumi's older brother, the rock star Shougo/amazing man, walks into the college classroom and causes a scene. Like I just can't but be amazing sorry! Izumi takes him outside to yell at him but apparently Shougo has been recruited by Rei to make the commercial. The whole family is against Izumi. :( Only Shougo thinks that Izumi is too cute not to be in the commercial. It has nothing to do with talent or anything, just that Izumi is 15 kinds of adorable in his eyes. Brother complex. Shougo might be a popstar hottie but he has a brain too. He knew that Izumi was going to say no to the commercial as he is not special enough to change the kid's mind. But....Lalalulu is a different story. Izumi LOVES her so bribe time it is. I must say..making a special kind of alarm clock just for Izumi was pretty cool. Like look, I made this for you...just for the doing the commercial...but if you don't want it...GIVE IT TO ME I AM CRAZY! So Shougo spoils and bribes the brother and Izumi will be bought the entire series with LalaLulu gifts. Fun times.
 photo Lovestageepisode112_zpsfdec286e.jpg
Is he going to be in the tribute parade too?
So in the end Izumi agrees to do the commercial, Mom is over the moon happy, Ryouma is seen looking at a Chibi Izumi pic on his cellphone, and Rei is happy he gets to keep his job. YAY JOBS! Izumi and his alarm clock keep powering through the days at it gets closer to commercial time. Izumi tries to be brave but the morning of the big day finally comes and Izumi is going to puke whether he gets breakfast or not. He is manhandled to the location where I think he is seconds from passing out. For some reason Rei thinks that giving Izumi Shougo's prep team is going to calm the boy down. Given how...special they are I don't think the calm was ever going to come. They are almost directly from the Hunger Games. I guess the only good thing about them is they know Izumi is a dude and are going to keep the secret while making the poor boy look his best. That's nice because Izumi has a lot of people to fool.

Hurry and shut down this crush fast!
Number one would be...Ryouma! Him and his blushy face self arrives to Izumi's dressing room to give in leading lady some flowers. Oh and the boy is in love with Izumi. He has a picture of a tiny Izumi on his phone from a million years ago. It was his condition to have the original crew in the new commercial just for Izumi. It is sorta sweet in a tragic way obviously. Rei tries to keep it all professional since it is obvious why Ryouma is in the room but it doesn't work. I almost think that Ryouma is in the acting business because he thought Izumi was going to end up there later on in life and was waiting for “her”. Shoo Ryouma, we got a Izumi to put back together.

Izumi is a bundle of nerves before the first shot even happens. Memories of the first commercial overtake his mind and Rei does a really bad job of calming down the kid. Everyone else in the family must be a natural so maybe Rei has no experience in his level of calming. Izumi shouldn't be there to begin with but at least he is trying. He is doing it all for the alarm clock. Due to the fact that Izumi doesn't wear heels or dresses on a normal basis... he falls flat on his face the minute he tries to run. :( And it is embarrass city all over the place. I felt so bad for the kid. Like no, change the channel! I hate it when people are being embarrassed on tv, whether it be their doing or not. But I couldn't change the channel. I just had sympathy for a fictional character who tripped all over the place.
 photo Lovestageepisode116_zps953cf392.jpg
Stage fright? More like scarred forever.
Izumi is pleased to learn that Ryouma is a really nice guy despite being a super famous actor person. He instantly appears next to the crying Izumi and gives him a good luck charm to calm down. Then it all comes back to Izumi. That 10 years ago the commercial did get finished despite him being a total wreck. Now he remembers it was baby Ryouma that got him through the moment with his magical rock of calm downness. And here Ryouma is ready to help again. SMILES! Cue the sap. Everything is going to be okay. Izumi can do the commercial now. Happy faces for all. Only....Izumi seems to have forgotten the most important thing about weddings. The groom always kisses the bride. So color Izumi and Rei super confused when Ryouma leans in for a kiss. Yeah....I think the brave was just kissed out of Izumi and it won't be returning any time soon. So...is this going to be the series, Ryouma thinking he is in love with a female Izumi and all the hijinks around it? Doubt it. Ryouma will find out soon Izumi is a dude and it will all be okay. Or chaos. Probably chaos. So I am happily surprised with this show and how it didn't suck? It is only episode 1 so I guess there is still time to suck but for now I will be staying tuned.
