Mirai Nikki episode 6

I think I had the worse dream ever last night. I often dream about the last few things I did/saw before I went to bed. So I was trapped in Disney World during the zombie Apocalypse and Yuno was in my survivor party. I kept waking up because it was that horrible but when I finally passed out again the dream would pick back up and the body count would increase. And I didn’t have Daryl to protect me folks. I had Yuno. Who thought I was hitting on her man. Oh lord folks I am getting chills again thinking about it.

X__X The zombies and Yuno I understand but Disney? My magical place of fun? I am glad that I didn’t see any dead Mickeys running around. I wonder if they all survived because the costumes are so thick. Or did they get taken out first due to limited mobility and vision.

Still so much crazy....

So let’s get to the real nightmare of today. Well really yesterday. Mirai Nikki episode 6!!! I promise you this is really episode 6 this time. Spoilers for crazy kids and moms who are way too laid back for their own good.

WTF is up with this creeper dude?

Episode Summary: Yuno is shown breaking and entering a house. Since she didn’t kill anyone this seems almost normal for Yuno. Yuki is at the airport picking up his absentee mom. Yuki is the typical high school kid raising himself because his parents work far away and only come home every once in a whole. Mom gently teases her son on the car ride home and Yuki is like I hate my life I am a normal teenager crap. When they get home Mom is like someone broke into our house? Yuki realizes it is Yuno and tries to shove Mom in the kitchen. Only mom discovers that a full meal has already been cooked. Yuki runs up stairs to find Yuno has cleaned his whole room. She wants Mom to accept their relationship so she thought breaking and entering would be a good start. Yuki attempts to hide Yuno in the closet but that just leads to Yuno being discovered and both ladies finding Yuki’s porn collection. However much to Yuki’s….sadness Mom loves Yuno and her cooking and even wants the two to start having sex right now. Yuki decides that he wants to kill himself while Yuno and Mom make wedding plans and possibly discuss condom choices. Elsewhere Minene is getting treated for her missing eye at some random doctor. He seems slightly shady and has knowledge of Minene’s….adventures. Minene notices some kids in the hallway and the doctor explains those are kids that were spared during the “cult suicide” recently.

:( Life is hard for poor Yuki.

Yuki’s life continues to get worse as Mom shows Yuno childhood pictures of Yuki. In all of them he is naked. Then later he goes to the bathroom (I HATE these scenes MOG) and there is no toilet paper. Yuno uses her diary to see Yuki needs some paper and he wants to kill himself some more. Mom talks about how MOG these crazy people in a cult killed themselves recently. Among the dead is Mom’s coworker. She agreed to take in their child until something more permanent comes along. Yuno is very interested in learning how old the child is. Mom doesn’t seem to understand the line of questioning and asks Yuno to spend the night. Yuki is like NOOOO and this leads to a fanservice scene of Yuno in the bathroom. Until she turns into crazy eyes again! She shares a room with Yuki that night and tells him to take advantage of her. When Yuki says he is not in love with her Yuno promises to make the HAPPY ENDING happen no matter what. Even if Yuki doesn’t want it to happen. The next morning the foster child arrives. His name is Reisuke and he is…well very special. He draws pretty pictures and decides to give one to Yuno. Only he slips and falls on Yuno holding some scissors. Yuno managed to deflect the stab with a pillow and happily smiles. Reisuke is like oh okay and goes to the bathroom. Inside he reveals he is a diary owner as well! Shocker! THE END!

Sometimes planet Earth is a crazy place to be.

I see a lot of people are calling this episode pretty calm. Considering Yuno was slicing and dicing an entire cult of people last time and we had a Diary Owner raped and drugged into crazy land, yeah this episode is pretty calm. I am sure if all the episodes were like episode 5 we would all be in the corner rocking back and forth talking about Santa fixing our tattoos. I kid, I kid Kelly. No really, I meant it. Sorry.

Photobucket

Don't let the sparkles fool you! There is insanity in that clean floor!

So in light of the fact that no one was hacked to death with a knife and Yuno didn’t rape Yuki in his sleep how was this episode interesting? Why because there was subtle craziness lurking in the shadows. And sometimes in the sunlight. Subtle crazy can be just as interesting as off the wall insanity.

Photobucket

House keeping. House keeeeeeeeeping.

Weirdness Number 1: Yuno done broke into the house and the mother said NOTHING. NOTHING! Obviously this mother is a pod person and must be destroyed.

Photobucket

And you don't bring it up again because WHY?!

Okay maybe that is too far. But it worries me that the mother was so far into “cool mom” territory that she was ready to send Yuki to bed with someone who broke into their house. BROKE INTO THE HOUSE.

Photobucket

Insert robot Yuno face.

Weirdness Number 2: Yuno was all OVER asking how old the little boy was. Once she was told he was 4/5 she was quiet. Didn’t really ask any other questions about him. Hmm folks Hmm.

Photobucket

Bitch you just invited a demon into this house. Thank goodness I am here with my bag of amazing tools.

Maybe we should change Yuno’s name to Homura? Because it is sounding like she has outside information on what is going on here. Almost like she has lived this before? It could explain why she is so smart when it comes to certain things. Like oh yes kill the zombies and what not. Could the reason why the other Diary users were all up to speed on the game and Yuki was not is he is an add in player? Like originally there was someone else and he REALLY went splat so Yuki is a new player? Or maybe he lost his memories?

Photobucket

You might want to talk to Homura on what constitutes a happy ending. I'm just saying.

Hmm let’s go with the memory thing instead. That way it would make Yuno look less insane if they were in a previous relationship in another timeline. Like .05 percent less insane. That and I am not really buying that everyone is dead. Yuno doesn’t look THAT worried about what is going to happen at the end of the game. Even if both of them survive only one person can become god. Now Yuno wouldn’t have to worry about that if people weren’t really dead. Just being zipped off somewhere. No blood or anything right?

Weirdness Number 3: All of Reisuke. ALL OF HIM.

Photobucket

Look how cute and innocent I am WEEEEE!

I think Reisuke was super creepy to me because I just got done watching Pet Sematary and he reminded me of the little boy. He even tried to stab Yuno with a smile on his face (another sign that Yuno KNOWS what is going to happen, to be wary of the innocent kid). Creepy, creepy kid.

While I like that his future diary is actually something for little kids I am not sure I like him actually being a diary user. First off….why would you give a normal 4 year old that kid of power. I know his parents were disgusting pigs but I like to pretend that they were “normal” parents to their kid and that the only reason Reisuke would need his diary was to seek revenge. But if he was chosen before they died he wouldn’t need revenge right?

Photobucket

I see EVERYTHING!!!! Well half of everything anyway.

So again that goes back to something bigger going on. Was he a diary owner before? That this is a new reality and he just got dealt a really bad deal? If this is only the first round and not some alternate reality then there is something else at play here. Like every single person is connection on some grand scale. And Minene seems to be front and center with all this connection doesn’t she? Not sure how Yuki factors into all this craziness but maybe that is a theory.

Photobucket

Mom....you aren't the best judge of character.

I seem to have a lot of theories going on in my head. But at least it is not OBVIOUS what is going on Saya. Durp you are a baddie, the best baddie of them all. Nice to keep the viewers on their toes.

Photobucket

Somewhere over the rainbooooooooooow lies Yuno's sanityyyyyyyyyyy

Weirdness Number 4: Yuno was going to kill momma if things didn’t go well. Maybe mom is a diary owner too and that is why she put on such a COOL MOM act. I would be too if I knew a crazy girl BROKE INTO MY HOUSE and brought a bag of “toys” with her.

But really Yuno. You are insane. Any mother besides THIS ONE would have thrown your butt on the streets and grounded Yuki until the end of time. So in Yuno’s mind if things didn’t go WELL she was going to kill momma and Yuki was going to be down with that? Forgot asking if she has a full deck of cards, does she even know what game they are playing?!

So in conclusion this episode tried to full the audience with light hearted laughter at Yuki’s expense. But really we got a Digimon reject armed with scissors and Yuno is plotting on making Yuki’s house a museum of dead parents too. While there were a few laughs at Yuki’s expense I think all the pressures of being a diary owner, being surrounded by crazy Yuno, and having horrible teenage boy stuff happen to him will make Yuki snap. And there will be blood. All over the place WEEE!

Yuno is insane but also quite calculating. I somehow get the feeling killing Yukki's mom wouldn't be her first option, more likely to "convince" her with those "tools"...

Interesting guess.
I stopped reading the manga half way, but the reason Yuno can tell all sort of things should not far off from your Homura theory.
The main villain is a 'god of time' to begin with.
The way he make a Digimon protagonist rip-off a diary user just show how crazy this long nose guy.

dene323- You are probably right. Yuno is so far gone on the crazy train she might have thought torturing the mom would be the next logical step if her breaking and entering dinner didn't go well. That would obviously make Yuki love her more too, mom missing some fingers and what not.

Eternia- I am sure Homura is like um no I am nothing like that insane crazy person. But maybe Yuno just isn't as strong as Homura. Living through the crazy once was enough to break Yuno while Homura was like....okay let's try again.

But even Yuno was doing the crazy eye scenes it really reminded me of Homura making the "pained" faces during the last timeline.

But yes Yuno's immediate interest in the kid BEFORE SHE MET HIM made me think Oh so she already knows who to expect and this is basically like a check list for her.

I am beginning to think all the characters were killed in the real world some time in the past and this is their chance to keep on living in the future. That could explain why such a crazy group of unrelated people are involved. Maybe they were all on the same bus or something.

Or maybe everything is just crazy. Who knows. XD

Or Deus Ex Machina is one twisted bastard in screening out all the average Joes in order to have a magnificent & unpredictable battle royal! After all, in wrestling the greatest battle royals are the most unpredictable ones! :)
