My goals are silly in life. XD 3 posts my butt. But I did get a lot of grocery shopping done (poor wallet) and I got to play with my new nendoroid Madoka. But now it is dark outside and I realize how crap where has the day gone.

Yay Valentine's Day!!!

Episode Summary: It is the new year at the office and everyone wants to kill themselves yay! There is talk about working on the Valentine’s Day issue and Ritsu has his hands full with his personal manga artist. There are a few problem pages he would like her to change and after some discussion she says she will think about it. Takano is like no you just failed FAILURE! Takano demonstrates how it is done. He has everyone read his manga artist storyboard and find the flaws. Once they are identified Takano calls her up and says HEY change it now it is boring. Ritsu is like X__X oh okay…But then the phone rings and he takes the call outside. It is someone named An and she has a present for Ritsu from Europe. Ritsu gets flustered with the phone call and Takano wants to know who it is. They are interrupted by director Ryuu. In one short conversation Ryuu tells Takano that Ritsu has a fiance and that Ritsu was hired because of who his father is. Ritsu is generally upset about all this. But despite all that crap Ritsu manages to pull off an important meeting regarding a new manga artist.

Ah to be in a new relationship, being excited about holding hands and such.

On the subway ride home Takano tries to tell Ritsu to come to his place and talk about his leg up in the company. Takano doesn’t see the problem with using connections and thinks Ritsu should get over it. Ritsu doesn’t feel the same way. So Takano decides that kissing Ritsu on the train and holding hands on the way home will help. Ritsu doesn’t protest though so Takano things all is well. That is until they arrive home and that An person is there. Ritsu says she is not his girlfriend and An is like What why would you say that? Takano goes upstairs upset while Ritsu walks An to the nearest large street. Ritsu pretends like nothing is wrong and maybe it is better if Takano has the wrong idea. Yet Ritsu goes to see Takano and explain things. Takano is pissed and is going to visit Yokozawa. Ritsu gets panicky and explains to Takano that they are not really engaged and what not. Takano figures out that An really does love Ritsu. Ritsu says that he turned her down a while ago and basically begs Takano not to Yokozawa’s. Takano gets very touched and the two kiss, without Ritsu pulling back. It appears that the pair fall asleep in each other’s arm that night, with Ritsu all confused and stuff. At work the next day Ritsu is basically tortured for doing what Takano taught him because obviously he needs to read minds. Yay romance. THE END!

Hmmm. This was actually a pretty good episode considering it was all about Takano and Ritsu. And look no rape! Amazing.

Glad that Ritsu thinks it is a little bit shady too.

Still not feeling the whole telling the artist what to do. Feels wrong to me. Yes the Japanese people have been “trained” to read mangas in a certain way. But doesn’t that just make them predictable? Predictable is okay but why not make something amazing and new? That and I am not sure how I feel about men telling women how to write for other women. Feels a little odd to me.

Such an uplifting boss.

Also really not a fan of how Takano went about telling the top selling manga artist her work was boring. X__X I think Ritsu was right to be gentle in his approach. I don’t think anyone wants to be told that their art is boring, especially from a newbie. Ritsu could have been more firm in directing the conversation but Takano’s all out RARW approach is not how I would handle it.

Photobucket

Working well under pressure yay!

But I thought Ritsu handled the meeting well in regards to having a new manga artist. I thought Takano was going to come in and save the day but Ritsu was the one with the facts and the figures. Takano didn’t do a great job cheering him up on the train but you know…that is just Takano.

Photobucket

Pay attention so you can't do this later!

And really why tell Ritsu to pay attention if the approach he was teaching Ritsu ONLY works on Takano’s client. Well and Yoshino too. It was like he was setting him up to fail while calling him out in front of the others. Is Takano so stressed out with work he has to pick on Ritsu to take the edge off? Rude.

Ryuu was an ass. AN ASS. He already knew that Ritsu felt bad about coming from a family like that. Ryuu has apparently embraced how his family has helped him in life and that is okay. Personally I think that people should take advantage of …well advantages in life. Not at the expense of others though. Like someone more qualified should not lose out on the job because some slacker kid has a daddy in high places.

Photobucket

And now I hate you too.

But Ryuu needed to shut his mouth about knowing Ritsu’s father all together. Okay maybe it was a slip up about how Ritsu got the job but mentioning the father at all would be a red flag on HMMM how did I get the job. Thank the family personally for the treats, not the out of the house adult kid. RUDO!

What do you mean in the last ten years you had relationships?!

I think Takano overreacted about the phone call Ritsu got. Of course since everyone else is acting jealous and overreacting in this series it is probably his turn. He is in love with Ritsu but Ritsu has not confessed or shown any interest in him. Well okay there was the drunk night of sex but other than that Ritsu doesn’t owe him anything. So getting all jealous was….well a human thing for Takano to do if not a stupid one.

Photobucket

What is the truth?

However Ritsu was a little bit of a liar there was he not? Granted he did not owe Takano ANY explanation. None whatsoever. But if he was going to give an explanation he needed to be truthful. The whole oh our parents decided it and we never treated it seriously was a lie. Someone did take it seriously. I am glad that Ritsu actually turned her down and didn’t lead her on. That makes me happy. The trying to minimize it though sorta ignored the girls feelings and it just made Ritsu look bad in front of Takano.

Photobucket

Poor Ritsu. Always at fault.

But dude when Takano gets jealous he goes all out. I am hoping he was not going over there for a booty call because that would be hurtful to everyone involved. But I guess if Ritsu is free to do what he wants so should Takano. I just think Takano was using it as a test to see what Ritsu would do.

Photobucket

See?! I like THIS. More of this and less of force. Although.....now Ritsu seems open to sexy time there should be less force yes?

And it worked!!! And look! It didn’t end in rapey time. Actually I don’t think it ended in any sexy times. That probably would have been the perfect time too. Ritsu was all like don’t go and Takano was all smiley. They got in bed and cuddled?! Hand holding and cuddle time folks! See how there was romance and confusing feelings that didn’t lead to rape? I greatly approve of this ending. Well the ending in the bed, not at the office.

Photobucket

Takano might get some non drunk sex soon WOOHOO!

So I am sure by next episode (or the next part of their story) Ritsu will deny any feelings which will further piss Takano off. I mean he was in denial about the love stuff before but now Ritsu is leading him on. Bad Ritsu bad!

Love your reviews as usual!!

Isaka does take some getting use to. He's more of a major player in Junjou Romantica, although the next episode is devoted to him!! He IS an asshole, but he's the kind of asshole that stirs the pot in a way that actually rights a situation. He seems like the type of person who can "read the atmosphere" and then talks about said atmosphere even when it makes people uncomfortable. It doesn't really come off well in the anime, but in the manga when Ritsu questions him it's more obvious that Isaka realizes he offended Ritsu and then backtracks.

I thought the cuddling was cute, but in the manga they do have sex. It upset me because this was the first time that Ritsu actually initiates the physical contact between the two of them and doesn't object to the sex. Plus it was also the first time as adults that they had sex in a bed. But since it actually showed them in bed and not this cut-to-black bullshit they've been giving us, I thought it was okay.

Anonymous- After watching Ryuu's episode I guess it is more understandable where his asshole tendencies come from. Still someone who has experienced the same crap that Ritsu has I thought maybe he should have handled the situation better. Good to know in the manga he had a slightly better reaction.

The cuddling was cute but given how Takano is all LOVE ME NOW it would make more sense for them to have sex at that moment. Which would have been important to show as Ritsu has been pretty upset about how Takano has forced him into things.

So I am torn. The cut to black scenes are pretty BLEH but I think that moment deserved some sexy times. But I might be forgiving as the cuddling was cute. Just think that moment deserved more.
