Kimi to Boku episode 6

How is it possible that it is Wednesday night already? It just seems like it was Saturday night and I was like WOOHOO no work. Well minus Monday but that is easy money in my book. But now it is Wednesday night and I have to do the long, long days at work. Bleh. BLEH! Add in the fact I didn’t get as much done today and I wanted to and I have the rarws.

Maybe pumpkin pie will change my mood? I shall have a piece before blogging this episode so I has a better attitude. NOM NOM pie.

I love the faces made in this episode! XD

I seem to be pretty caught up with…almost all the animes I am watching. X__X How did that happen? Maybe all my shows get subbed and released on the same day thus it looks like I am years behind. In any event Kimi to Boku episode 6. Spoilers for someone looking HOT now.

I would be running for the hills but then again I have a spine.

Episode Summary: For some reason people have given Yuki and Yuta scissors and they have given themselves permission to cut Shun’s hair. Shun does some weak protesting and then asks for a trim. Naturally the twins cut it all off and now Shun looks like a cute boy! The boys go inside to study and look at Shun’s hair. Kaname’s mom comes in giving out drinks and proceeds to hit on her son. She eventually runs out in tears and everyone hates Kaname. They then eat watermelon with and without salt and Tenchi weeps for the watermelon. The boys minus Kaname put on fake glasses to get ready for their study session. Kaname gets mad that they are not taking the situation seriously.

X__X Those are some pretty buff 9th graders.

Chizuru then asks when Kaname started wearing glasses. This takes us down memory lane into their first year of junior high. Kaname had been given glasses to wear but decided not to as he was afraid of being made fun of. He walks in on the twins playing thumb wars with Shun. Yuki says that if he wins Kaname has to wear his glasses now! Yuki tries cheating but Kaname is a thumb wrestling champ. In an effort to get Kaname to wear his glasses Yuki ends up running into some upperclassmen and does not apologize. This worries the other guys as they have watched anime before and knows this can end badly. The next day Kaname goes looking for Yuki and his classmate says that upperclassmen dragged him towards the gym. Kaname thinks the worse and tries to get Yuta and Shun to go with him to rescue Yuki. Only the twin not present IS Yuta and Yuki was only taken to the gym in hope of joining a club. Kaname then realizes he needs to wear his glasses to avoid making stupid mistakes. When he finally does put his glasses on the boys think he looks great and life moves on. In the present Yuki is all smiling because Kaname actually did care about him. Kaname keeps on denying this happened. Shun walks home with his hot new haircut and runs into that random girl that keeps hanging out with the group. THE END!

Shu…cut his hair. BEST EPISODE EVER! Well for this series of course. Let’s not get crazy here. XD

I think I would have burst into tears. Then stabbed them with the scissors and cried some more.

And to be hair Shun didn’t cut his hair. According to Kaname he didn’t even say anything about a haircut. Maybe he said “Man having long hair in this heat is hard” and the twins took that as HAIRCUT TIME. Then since Shu has no spine Shu said okay just a trim.

Everyone is shocked over his manliness!

And TADA!!! Now Shun looks like a boy! Amazing right? I thought he was going to cry though. I mean…I would have. But then again apparently I am a CRY BABY. *insert glare here* In any event anyone who has long hair and suddenly it is gone should be emotional. Even if the change is inevitable good and necessary. And with Shun it was very necessary.

:( Mean teenage boys!!!

I think the scenes with Kaname’s mom would be more entertaining if I was certain she was kidding. Maybe she starts off laughing on the inside but by the end of the joke I am not sure if it was all fun and games. And are all the boys kidding too? Is it just one big joke on Kaname and Tenchi? Either way I think it crosses a line into pervert land. Just a bit too much.

This episode had a flashback that didn’t have to do with the boys being 5. AMAZING! Okay there was 5 seconds of them being in preschool but that doesn’t count. WEEE.

Although I think a lot of the show focuses on flashbacks to show how the boys are friends now instead of them moving forward and deepening their relationship. But that is probably me thinking too much. Life in the now and make new memories!

Since I wear glasses I can relate to this episode. I was given my first pair at 10 and they were the world’s ugliest glasses. Not so great for my tiny self-esteem at the age of 10. So for the next 6 years I went to great lengths to only wear my glasses when absolutely necessary. Meaning just to see the board. So I was walking around all in a fuzz just to save face. Soon I realized that HEY I need to actually see the road if I ever want to have a learner’s permit and decided it was time to accept my fate.

Party like a rock star!

Enough about me though. It applies to Kaname as well. I think he was trying to put off wearing his glasses as long as possible and needed something to make him think…you know what, seeing is important. And seeing how most (if not all) 16 years do not drive in Japan he needed a little push in the right direction.

Now that Yuki and Yuta were thinking that. Or if they were they hid it well. I don’t think they were going to be MEAN to Kaname but I can see them bugging him to death. I can’t really blame them Kaname was going out of his way to hide his glasses and make it a big deal. The bigger the deal you make something the more people want to know about it.

So cute. Boys hurting each other in safe and fun ways!

I actually found the thumb war thing cute. Well not cute but…fun. The drawings were funny and although it was a normal slice of life moment I actually thought the guys liked each other when it was going on. It didn’t seem like they hated each other and had to interact with the other.

Photobucket

Maybe they only broke his arm! Don't give up hope yet!

Kaname accidentally revealing that he CARES for his “friends” was fun to watch. I mean…I don’t think Kaname could have done much in a fight. But Kaname even pretending he could have helped was warming to my dark, dark heart. Then he denied it later and it made me think…wow these people are friends.

Salt.....Salt....SALT?!

Watermelon is expensive in Japan. So why the heck are they trying to ruin it with SALT? Like has anyone else heard of this crazy salt thing before?

Photobucket

They are so FABulous they should open a hairdressing salon.

So in conclusion I actually liked this episode and it was mainly focused on the guys! The Chibi only showed up at the end. And now Shun looks normal. This episode was my favorite so far. Please keep this pace up. I like THIS kind of episode. And pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie tends to make everything better though.
