What do you mean I have to wait until next week to see another crazy episode?! Well on the bright side I did learn that Mirai Nikki is 24 episodes long. I guess I just assume now series are 12-13 episodes long as that seems to be the theme and they are cheaper to produce. So now I am wondering what is going to happen with the series now that we are 6 episodes in but we already lost 3 Diary users? I am afraid to look on the boards because of spoilers but I hope things don’t get boring.
We just came from the future. Things don't look good there either.
But since this is a conversation for next week I shall focus on the episode at hand. Fate/Zero episode 6. YAY CRAZY PEOPLE!
What a nice Servant, lying about how bad her "Master's" driving is.
Episode Summary: Saber and Irisviel are taking a nice relaxing drive down the highway. Or really Irisviel is driving like a manic down/up a mountain side. Saber pretends all is well as Irisviel reminds us again that she was kept in that castle all her life and now she gets to drive free as a bird. Saber pulls them over as she senses a disturbance in the force. It turns out is Caster who wants to make either sweet, sweet love to Saber or take a bath in her virgin blood. Not quite sure. Oh and he thinks she is Joan of Arc. When Saber is like no, I am actually King/Queen Arthur Castor melts on the ground thinking that she has lost her mind and her memories. He leaves before Saber can kill him. He returns to his….home with Ryuu which consists of PILLARS. We get to see the PILLARS the entire segment as Ryuu and Caster are killing children and we can’t be having that. Castor’s solution to making Saber remember who she is is to kill more children.
I support this plan.
Lancer and Kayneth are having some bonding time back at their place. Kayneth’s wife is going on and on how Kayneth sucked in battle and is a loser and needs to take out the trash. She also says she is the second master which makes them a tough group to beat. Kayneth goes on and on about how his spells are so deep in this apartment building nothing can beat him. Enter Emiya evacuating the entire building and blowing the whole thing up. Maiya goes to see if anyone escaped but is attacked by Kirei who has decided he is part X-Men. She manages to escape and the whole thing is weird. Kirei updates Tokiomi about the building exploding and the fact that Castor is beyond out of control. They decide to break the rules and have all the Servants attack Castor. Archer and his drunk self decide to have a heart to heart with Kirei. Archer is horrified to learn that Kirei has never gotten laid…I mean has no joy in his life. Archer tells Kirei to find out the reasons why the other Masters are in this war and maybe Kirei will find a reason for himself. THE END!
This episode was a bit…bleh. But they all can’t be action packed right? Sometimes there needs to be conversation and what not that lead up to the battle. So on with the show.

The entire driving scene with Irisviel and Saber made no sense. I mean I know they were driving but….yeah. The transition from the battle to the happy driving down the street scene was nonexistent. But I guess they don’t have to show every single step for things to make sense. I just think it was weird. Yay they are bonding by almost turning into road pancakes YAY!

Castor is 18975 kinds of insane. There seems to be a lot of that going around this anime season. Let us pretend for 5 seconds that Saber was actually Joan of Arc. PRETEND WITH ME! Now why would Joan of Arc want to associate with gutter scum like this? She ran with a famously group of people. Oh that was an exhousewife loser? Okay so Joan was of protecting France and all. El Castor was a crazy murderer who…well murdered people. And apparently he wasn’t that big of a serial killer is Saber did not gain knowledge of him when entering the world.
So in conclusion not only is Caster wrong about who Saber is but he is crazy for thinking anyone cares about him. Him having a moment in the road was hilarious and Saber promising to kill him before he can speak next time is probably very wise. So Joan of Arc (or if the writers have their way John the hot stud muffin of Arc) don’t get sucked into the Holy Grail War. Some crazy is looking for you!

I was very, very disappointed in the censoring with this episode. And by censoring I mean the nice pillar we got to look at any time Ryuu or Castor did anything really awful. We don’t even get the nice white blurs that were 50 percent of Blood C. We don’t even get to see what was GOING to happen. Just nothing. Like Caster comes in and does SOMETHING horrible to one of the kids, like probably stabs him in the head with his fist, and we see nothing. Disappointment. All over my face people. We got naked chicks being rapped over in Mirai Nikki land but heaven forbid we see her hand be chopped off or see Giant Bunnies turn people into smoothies or what the hell Castor and Ryuu were doing to the kids. Anger folks.
Do you know what time is it?! Where have you been? I had dinner on the stove and now it is ruined! RUINED!
I feel bad for Lancer. He has not one but TWO masters. This might be good for me though. Maybe if Kayneth gets killed his wife can take over? That means twice as many chances to see Lancer. That would also be good for Saber. She can “kill” Lancer to end the curse and he can be resummoned so I can look at him some more. Because that is what makes me happy.

Also where the hell do these people live that they have 4839 names? I mean I used to have a hyphenated last name but having all three of your names hyphenated is a bit too much. And for that you get no name at all Ms. Wife. That is your punishment. But you get a few cookies for calling out your husband on his stupid behavior.
This is what I think of your magical building.
Emiya is like gangsta. But in a nice way. Kayneth was going on and on about his magical building with 32903 rooms of traps and spells and spell upon spells and Emiya is like oh okay…and blows it all up. Basically the only thing Kayneth had going for him was the fact he was super prepared and it got taken out in 5 seconds. With no civilian deaths weeee.
Not that I think Kayneth is dead. I don’t think Emiya really thinks that either. But it was still fun to watch it happen.

I don’t know why Kirei was there to witness the building being squished. Shouldn’t he have been hiding in the church and his minions watching the other Masters? It just felt really, really out of place. Then he turned into Wolverine and started slashing up the place. I don’t know, it was weird.
But blowing up an entire building is not going to bring about any suspicion at all.
I like that Kirei and Tokiomi are bringing morals into a game that is about killing people. Like killing people is fine, being crazy is not. Now we need to get rid of the crazy person so all of us sane people can have a noble battle. Because inserting worms into people and LETTING some crazy people steal your kid is okay. But if you are in the Holy Grail War and don’t want to participate that is the worse thing ever.
This was 5 seconds away from soft music and Archer tossing off his shirt.
The rest of the episode was like a mini date between Archer and Kirei. At one point I thought that maybe Archer was hitting on Kirei. Then I put aside the yaoi colored glasses and the scene changed to Archer pouring Kirei a glass of wine and I was like WTF?! Talk of pleasure and finding yourself and joy….just yeah. Look at me, I am a drunk dead King hitting the emo boy.
But now Kirei has a goal in life. It took like 6 minutes of screen time and how many years of his life to realize this but yay goals. He is going to dive into the SINFUL world of joy and find out that he wants the Grail to wish Archer back to life so they can run off to Hawaii together.
Or he turns SuperBad and things go horribly wrong, thus Fate/Stay Night. Who knows? We ain’t finding out next week as it is Castor Hunting time. See ya then!

Judging by Irisviel’s reference car as toy, and the style of that cool car, I got the feeling that Kiritsugu had spoiled her rotten, no wonder Ilya become like that in Fate Stay Night….

The reason Kirei could appear before Maiya must be because of his assassins stalked her? The way he's acting like Wolverine feels out of place, though.
In episode 02, we can see how Kiritsugu let Ilya call him by name, and not 'father'. Iya was not educated properly >_>
