Tenchi's Room o Anime

Hello there my lovely readers. Today has been a bit of a trying day. Make sure you call your mother (father/parental unit), love your pets, and hug someone today. Sometimes life can be difficult and as much as the people in our lives drive us crazy they are important.

Since I have not worked up enough strength to watch Shana: The Never Ending Battle I thought it would be fun to show you would my "computer" room looks like. Technically it is the anime room with the computer sorta shoved in there but you know...anime and Hello Kitty is all over my house.

Photobucket

View from the living room. If this room went up in flames....well if ANY of my house went up in flames I would cry. But....not my preciouses!

In any event...Behold my house! Sorta. Blurry pictures and all. And me hiding behind my Mugi fan. I meant to take these earlier but then I had to go at the speed of fast because the rain was trying to steal my light. Very picture heavy!

Photobucket

Going to walk around and take pictures of the basic layout of the room. Then I will go back through and take a closer look at everything.

Photobucket

Walking around....

Photobucket

and more walking....

Photobucket

Oh look the computer!

Photobucket

Area above the door way. Got some Weiss Kreuz artwork for my birthday......9 years ago? And put them in frames last year. XD

Photobucket

And the ceiling. Yes the ceiling. We are running out of ceiling space....

Photobucket

Okay back to the beginning of the room. This board is over the light switch. Stupid light switch is in the way for more posters. These are random little keychains and what nots I have bought at random anime conventions. I am convinced that they look like little Lego people but my husband, the Lego king, says no.

Photobucket

I love this random piece of artbook. I know I bought it at AWA but either she has changed her art medium now or I am blind. Love it though, think it looks like CLAMP. This shelf houses random little figurines that really don't go with anything else in the room. One must be careful turning on the lights to not knock my lovelies down.

Photobucket

Oldest corkboard on the face of the planet. But I love my Absolute Boyfriend poster from Shojo Beat ( :(). I can't remember what was on there before...Most of the cellphone charms on this board came from Japan. All but the pokemon charms at the top. It almost became a game, how many charms we could buy. They were everywhere and EVERYONE had at least two on their phones.

Photobucket

Closet doors. I have no idea why we have the cat litter in the biggest closet in the house. Maybe because we never shut the computer room? But I still have to plaster it with posters and random arts. The knob is home to all the badges from every anime convention we have ever attended. It looks like A TON but remember there are two of us. XD

Photobucket

There are three huge bookcases in my room. On the top of all of them are some of my Hello Kitty lovelies. Not much has changed over the years but I am thinking of doing some major changes in the future.

Photobucket

All of the Hello Kitty plushies came from Japan...while we were in Japan. XD

Photobucket

Close up of the Sushi Hello Kitty set my husband bought me in Japan. I was bummed we didn't see any cosplayers in Harajuku (now I think we were on the wrong street) and he decided to buy me everything I saw in a store. I love my husband so much. The pieces are so cute and Hello Kittified.

Photobucket

More Hello Kitty toys. Most of them are pretty dang old. I bought some of the sets from K-B Toystore in our mall like 13 years ago? So when you look at all these pictures know that this is a collection that is 15 years in the making!

Photobucket

Last section of the Hello Kitty toys. I don't know many people with small kids but when kids do make their way over to my house there has to be some ground rules. Like basically anything that looks like a toy is off limits!

Photobucket

Back in the day this small shelf was home to ALL my nendoroids. Oh those were the days....2 years ago. Now it is home to the petits that I got while I was in Japan. The shelf does look kinda out of place in regards to the rest of the room...(but the husband put huge holes in the wall when he put it up).

Photobucket

We have to DVD racks in the living room that holds more of our DVDs and VHS tapes. But we had three racks and my husband was like MOG this isn't symmetrical. So the other rack is in the guest room and the leftvover DVDs and VHS tape live on the bookshelf. Wonder how long they have until they get kicked aside.

Photobucket

Did I saw I had three bookshelves up thread? Because I lied and can't count. I have four. Random Hello Kitty items are used to hold the mangas up. Maybe if AWA has better deals on manga next convention I won't need to use them anymore.

Photobucket

The mangas that are pulled out of the row signify the ones I haven't read yet.....yeah. There are tons out of the row aren't there? I am a slacker. :( For some reason Tuxedo Sam is hiding in the corner.

Photobucket

Poor little bookcase in the corner. It is being blocked off by the cabinet. I need to reconfigure this room better.

Photobucket

Top of my cabinet. All these little figurines were purchased in Japan. A lot at those consignment type shops. I can't stop talking about them. Such great deals on items that are usually blind boxed.

Photobucket

Time for the Nendoroid cabinet. I apologize for how blurry these look. I needed it to be light in the room for the pictures to turn out but now it was all reflective and bright.

Photobucket

Three of the five shelves in the cabinet have Nendoroids on them. Next time we are in Orlando I am going to IKEA and buying an entire class case. Hopefully it will be big enough to house all the Nendoroids in the room without them being so crowded.

Photobucket

The third shelf kinda sits down low and for some reason I have all the petits on that shelf. And L. There was a reason for L being down there at first but now I forget...

Photobucket

All of my CLAMP in 3D land figurines. I wish I had known about these figurines before they became rare and hard to get. But I am happy for the ones I do have. And by that I mean YAY Fai and Kurogane.

Photobucket

All of my CLAMP chess pieces and book. I am lucky enough to have all of them except the first one. Someone at AWA had them 3 for 20 dollars one anime convention. I must have looked like a greedy pig with all the bags that convention.

Photobucket

The side of the cabinet. See how I want an all glass one? Everything gets blocked off by the huge wood pieces. Good for my Precious Moments but not my tiny nendoroids.

Photobucket

Top of the computer desk. More petit nendoroids. XD My poor Fate/Stay Night nendoroids, never getting the chance to shine. The Yu-Gi-Oh ones are my husband's, one of his few purchases in Japan.

Photobucket

Window over the computer desk. A lot of fanart is in the window area simply because they fit much better than the posters. XD

Photobucket

Weird side of the room. And yes there are posters behind the doors.

Photobucket

Better view of the ceiling. At our old apartment the walls were standard size. But now we have 10 foot tall walls. Which means we should have more room for posters. Yet almost the entire ceiling is covered. I blame it on those huge posters we got for free at Otakon. Also silly ceiling fans taking up valuable space!

Photobucket

And that is about it. Our "computer" room. Needs a bit of work to showcase everything better. But since we don't plan on moving anytime soon I think I have time. XD Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry for the late reply Eliza but thank you! My father in law (insert eyeroll here) loves tell people his daughter in law is crazy and has posters on the wall. Also apparently it is a fire hazard. XD It is only anime fans that can appreciate my room and ceiling. It is like a museum. While there have been VERY few kids in my house the ones that have arrived here run to this room only to be disappointed. XD Yes it looks like a toy store but do not touch anything!

If I had more room in my house my husband could wow you with his legos. X__X Could have an entire room of those too. Oh well he said he will have that room when we win the lottery. XD
