Oh I am blogging anime still? Spoilers for Psychic Detective Yakumo. Like for not ghosts and such.
Is this the only face you can make?
Episode Summary: A little girl is drawing with chalk on the ground. She draws a big monster version of herself eating some people. Yakumo’s dad walks up and offers to help free that girl. She cries and hugs the evil man. Yakumo is looking over a map being all serious like. Haruka comes in and is like HELLO MY FRIEND. Yakumo is like what do you want from me now? Haruka doesn’t really want anything but for Yakumo to attend her concert. Yakumo is like…maybe now go away I am busy. Which is a pretty nice answer coming from him. Yakumo’s dad has been seen being creepy. I wonder what he is up to. The reporter lady is investigating a house where 4 family members were murdered when she stumbles on an unconscious woman (who is smirking the whole time…). Ishii and Gotou approach Yakumo into helping with this 15 year old case which happens to have taken place near where Yakumo was looking on the map. HMMMM. They go to the police station where reporter lady explains the 4 murders and that the woman she found was investigating the area to do a show. They watch the tape she recorded (which reporter lady claims was untouched) and there is a ghost.
This is all super hard to figure out.
Yakumo quickly leaves and doesn’t contact Gotou again. Haruka keeps being all weird when Yakumo doesn’t go to the club room. Yakumo calls her and says he won’t be able to go to the concert (out of character but you know). Haruka decides to go investigating around the area Yakumo had marked on the map and it looks like the suspect in the 4 murders is hanging around there. Gotou’s boss takes him out for drinks and chastises him about his marriage. She then (re)explains how she is the one who found the 4 murder victims and the suspect took away the little girl before she could save her. But boss lady doesn’t think that the suspect is responsible, that the force felt nonhuman. Ishii and Gotou go to talk to the woman who recorded the ghost but Gotou thinks she was fishy. They go to the house in question but Ishii is scared and stays outside. Inside Gotou is attacked by Yakumo’s dad’s little punk princess (who was the ghost recorder). Ishii calls the police and he is generally unhelpful about the situation. Meanwhile Yakumo has figured out the video was shot somewhere else (probably his old one) and he goes to investigate. But haha Ms Punk is there and tazes him too. And molests him. I don’t know. THE END!
Okay people. Seriously people. And WTF people. WTF is this show?!
Like…there wasn’t even a ghost this episode. Maybe that was real footage of a ghost but I seriously doubt it. So last week we got a really lame ghost with a really lame reason for sticking around haunting people. This week we got NO GHOST! No ghost at all.
All we are going to get are one liners right?
So are the ghosts just a side issue for this series? Are we only supposed to watch Yakumo go around being amazing all the time and ghosts are just a side issue? Because this week he was a detective in regards to AHA this was shoot at a different house and AHA the creepy girl on the phone is the girl recording the video. No red eyes needed for this hot mess of an episode.
Wait did someone say Haruka?
Haruka was slightly less annoying in this episode. Probably because she wasn’t on screen that often. But her trying to get Yakumo to go to her concert was a bit much. Especially for a person like Yakumo. Push him a little too much and he will run away screaming. But she contacted him (or at least tried to) three times and I think once would have been enough. Like Yakumo is smart he isn’t going to forget el crazy.

Although I thought it was funny that Yakumo called Haruka to tell him nope, I ain’t going to your concert. He seems the kind of person who would just blow off Haruka. Or at least he would be the kind of person who just text that kind of information. Sadly I think this is a sign that Yakumo is changing as a person and he is slowly falling in love with Haruka. Which makes me sad. That and I want to know what he REALLY wanted to tell her. “Hi I am calling to let you know I am probably going to die soon so yeah…peace out?” I don’t even know.
You probably should have stabbed her...
So how dumb is that reporter lady if she couldn’t even tell that the video was fake? Or I guess her expert was a failure and she is a dummy for believing in that person. But the reporter lady was also a failure by running to Misfits aid. Like didn’t you just get possessed by helping a random person on the ground? Maybe you should stop that….

Ishii was a giant pile of fail this episode. I don’t think he could failed any more if he tried. He was glamorizing Gotou because he hunted down ghosts but he is scared of ghosts? He is a cop but won’t go in to rescue his partner? Like who is this fool? I was rooting for you, WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU. And now you suck. Thanks.
I thought Gotou and his boss were acting rather close. Like I know Gotou is having marital problems with his wife but why does his boss know this? Is something going on with those two? I WISH TO KNOW!
Of course I pick the picture of her unconscious....
But at least boss lady has her crap together. Even if her walk down memory lane was a bit special. But she was probably a newbie at that time so I can forgive her. Unlike Ishii is full of fail. But she tried to save people, she thinks the prime suspect got framed, and she feels weird about the whole situation. She seems to know what is going on and that gives me hope that the police station isn’t run by crazy people. She needs to be in charge of everything.
Well I would be asking what the heck she is doing to you but I guess that works too.
Like…wouldn’t it be easier to kidnap Yakumo directly? Why involve the police when you could just stalk him and kidnap him? Seems like way too much work to me. Also it looks like they involved Yakumo’s past to hook him which is unnecessary cruel. Why do the baddies got to act so evil?
Get them while they are young folks!
Also I think it is clear that the surviving girl is the one who killed the entire family and is Yakumo’s dad henchmen. Yay for more crazy people.
So next week Yakumo and Gotou will have to escape their kidnapped selves only to find out that Haruka got herself involved in this mess and is kidnapped too. Haruka is just that amazing.
