Psychic Detective Yakumo episode 13: Final Episode

XO How dare animes take a week off! I went to find To Aru Majutsu No Index episode 13 but it isn’t out yet. How dare they take a break. Of course that means I am less behind than I really thought…

So I guess I should be happy that I can finally finish up the 2010 anime season and it is only January 3rd. Go me, trying to start the new year off right!

Oh and spoilers for Yakumo being nice.

So here is the last “fabulous” episode of Psychic Detective Yakumo. Spoilers for smiles and happy times.

Oh crap THIS is what you trying to do this whole time?!

Episode Summary: After the dramatic events of last week Gotou ends up getting shot. Yakumo is all like RARW and Daddy finally reveals his evil plan. Now that Yakumo has embraced hatred he is just like his Daddy. Since they share blood and the same feelings Daddy can take over his body. Ms Misfit laughs and explains things further as Yakumo’s body is all twitchy and undergoing the possession process. Ms. Misfit declares that she is going to kill everyone but Haruka first because she hates her. Yakumo smiles an evil Daddy smile and Ms. Misfit is like DARLING! She runs to Yakumo’s body and surprise it is still Yakumo. He is just wearing his Uncle’s contact lens. Haruka is so happy to see him and they share a heartful…glance.

Err....that is special...

Ms. Misfit starts to lose her mind and Yakumo explains to her and Daddy that while he is super pissed in life he won’t become like him. He tells the doctor while he still hates him he will save the daughter’s life and will consent to the organ transplant. Yakumo tells Daddy to never appear before him again. Daddy is like HAHA I am a ghost I can do whatever I want and off he goes. Yakumo tries to tell Ms. Misfit she was a tool the entire time but she already knew that. In her tears she runs off into the night and eventually drives into a lake. Yakumo passes out and Gotou has successful surgery for his gunshot. Uncle’s organs are transplanted into the little girl. All the characters attend Uncle’s funeral and the doctor is taken to jail. There is a little bit of time taken to show how the characters are moving on with their lives, with Gotou actually making time for his family. Yakumo pretends to be annoyed with Haruka when she asks for help in regards to ghost matters. But in the end Yakumo is able to say goodbye to his Uncle and share a tearfull moment with Haruka. THE END!

Well hallelujah! Things actually made sense now! Too bad we had to wait 13 whole episodes to get to that point. But given the fact that some animes end in a spectacular blaze of fail I guess I should be grateful or something.

Not looking so hot there Daddy.

So the reason why Daddy was trying to make Yakumo’s life horrible was because he wanted to take over his body. I probably should have sensed it or something. Maybe it was obvious and I was in lala land or something.

But no matter what Daddy is a creepier asshole who has been planning this out for over 20 years. Because I am sure he kidnapped Mommy to get her pregnant on purpose because he was dying. Like he was going to have a short life and mapped out a long and complicated plan to get a new body. That sounds pretty genius but on the pyscho level.

Poor Yakumo couldn't take that much.

Which I still don’t agree with. Like everyone has hatred and despair inside them. People experience tragedies all the time in their lives and often they blame people (whether or not they deserve it). They have rage. They throw trantrums and have destructive behavior. But then they move on to grief, denial, and finally moving on. The hatred might stick around for a while but it will one day be overcome by other emotions.

See YOU are the evil one.

So whether or not Yakumo ever stopped hating the doctor or Daddy it doesn’t matter to me. Because if someone murdered all my living family members and got my cop “friend” shot I probably would be pissed forever. But that doesn’t make me a bad person for being angry. It might not be healthy for me but I shouldn’t be branded just as bad as the person shooting others.

So shocking he was the one who was shot.

Oh and yes Gotou got shot. But he lived because now he loves his wife and his new daughter. So it ended on a very dramatic note last week but tis a flesh wound folks.

No one likes you hahaha!

Ms. Misfit dying/driving into a lake wasn’t surprising either. Kinda creepy that she was in love with an old dude since she was like 10 but you know….she probably wasn’t playing with a full deck. But I am not going to start feeling bad for her because Daddy only cared about Yakumo and not her. She knew what she was getting to when this all started. Plus I think it is creepy that she was basically torturing this young kid all his life so one day she could have sex with him.

Good. He deserves to be hated.

But in the end Yakumo was able to donate his Uncle’s organs. I am glad that he said he still hated that asshole doctor but haha Daddy. See. You can have “hatred” in your heart and be a normal human being. But you look like kinda creepy melting away.

And such a happy family they will be.

And since this was the last episode of a series where no one died except dying Uncle we got to see how happy everyone was after the fact. I think I wanted to see a sadder Nao but at least she is talking now. Everyone is working, moving on with their lives and I guess they are better for the experience. Cheesy? Yeah. But the best time to work on a dead body is in the spring ya’ll.

Spring is for love!!!!

Haruka and Yakumo aren’t really official are they? She was holding him and making sure he didn’t go to the dark side. But they still treat each other the same way. She asks Yakumo for favors, he pretends to hate her, and life moves on. But maybe there is less pretending and eye rolling now. Besides Yakumo just jumping into her arms and declaring his love for her would have been creepy.

Even Yakumo needs a hug sometimes...

I do like that the series ending with Yakumo saying goodbye to his Uncle and crying. Because during this all Yakumo didn’t have a time to properly deal with his pain. Maybe it was a mixture of happy tears and sad tears. But since he did it in front of Haruka that surely is important. He is still a little of an asshole but now he has someone special and he will be just fine.

Overall though…I wasn’t really impressed with this series. I thought it was going to more focus on other dead people and mysteries and what not. This show ended up being more about Yakumo’s crazy ass dad than actual ghosts and haunting and what not. So I am disappointed that I was delivered what was promise. And to be honest things were a little boring at times.

But it is time to move on into a new anime series. Perhaps I shouldn’t hang so many hopes into synopsis’s as they can be deceiving at times.

Psychic Detective Yakumo episode 12

I am on a ROLL people. Look at me catching up on my blogging. I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the game I am all addicted to now…I am pretty far into now and the missions are sparse. X_X No no, it has nothing to do with that at all.

Hi. We are just calling to let you know we still fail.

That being said….the Fall 2010 anime season has not impressed me at all. We got the fail boys in CrazyTown and we have the Psychic Failure that is Yakumo. Maybe that is why I haven’t been that eager to blog, everything has been boring me.

But since I have stuck it out this far I might as well go the distance. Spoilers for Yakumo stating the obvious and no surprised at all.

Organ donor?! I AM SHOCKED XO

Episode Summary: The first part of the episode had to recap last week’s episode. Because there is not enough material to make an entire episode or something. But after receiving the contact lens Yakumo talks about how his Uncle is an organ donor. He has yet to give his consent since he can’t see his Uncle’s ghost yet. They then see the random ghost hanging out in the hospital and follow it to a room. It is the little girl that Isshin was talking to last time. The lady doctor comes by and Yakumo explains how sometimes people can separate their spirit when the desire is story enough. The doctor tries to describe her condition but accidentally lets some information slip. On the way to the parking garage Yakumo stops…and then leaves Haruka all alone. Ms. Misft has escaped from her ambulance ride to crazy town and kills the cops who are following her. Haruka sits down with Gotou to talk about Yakumo’s sad, sad past. Basically Yakumo as an aloof asshole. Shocking I know. After this amazing news Ishii runs in with the news that Ms. Misfit is on the loose. Gotou also gets a call from his wife who has decided to take Nao to the hospital to see her brain dead father. They run into the reporter lady and they all see Yakumo at the hospital.

Please spell it out for us doctor. I don't think the 5 year olds have figured it out yet.

Yakumo has confronted the creepy doctor from last week. SURPRISE he is the murderer. That is his daughter who is slowly dying. He is the one who stabbed Uncle because he is a match for his kid and hey Uncle was dying anyway right? Yakumo is not impressed with the doctor denying everything but with all the evidence against him the doctor finally incriminates himself. He says that Yakumo’s Daddy gave him the idea to do it..and then he runs away. But the doctor runs into every character in the anime and has to run to the roof. Yakumo follows him and the doctor says some crap about his Uncle should have died anyway. He tries to kill Yakumo with a scalp but Yakumo makes quick work of him. Ghost Daddy appears and Yakumo has a glare off with him. All the characters show up to the roof as Yakumo’s father talks about how he has fallen into darkness because he is upset his Uncle is dying. Then Ms. Misfit comes and shoots someone on the roof. THE END!!!

WELL THEN PEOPLE! WELL THEN!

It is good to know if my family member, my LAST direct relative, was lying brain dead in the hospital I don’t get a day to be pissed off at the world. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW PEOPLE!

Seriously it is pissing me off. Haruka and Gotou are all worried that Yakumo will go back to the dark side? First of all what dark side? Gotou and his LONG DRAWN OUT STORY don’t mention anything evil or dark about Yakumo. Just a gloomy emo kid who needed to write some poems or something. And Yakumo right now just lost his Uncle. So yeah people I think Yakumo has the right to be mad.

Yakumo just needs to bounce back. Gosh it's been 12 hours!!

The more I think about it the more upset I get. 24 hours ago his Uncle gets shanked and people are all he has CHANGED. How about this Haruka. I will go stab your mom and in 24 hours if you are still sobbing I will question why you are not the happy, bubbly girl you are usually. HOW ABOUT THAT?! Really folks this is getting ridiculous. I am 100 percent on team Yakumo.

So...Haruka has a red eye too? And everyone else in the hospital? Okay then.

But then I am not on team Yakumo. Because this series about him and his special red eye seeing ghosts isn’t very special when everyone else can see the ghosts. First Daddy dearest and now this random hospital girl. JUST AS I THOUGHT DAD indeed. Just very, very lame.

The other AHA you done it moment, I sensed coming. If Ms. Misfit was in an ambulance she can’t be running around stabbing Uncles. And since we already knew Daddy was a ghost (not sure why Gotou was so shocked as he said such last week…) someone had to wield the weapon. And the doctor was just OH SO SMOOTH with the whole “and the patient is his…NEVER MIND” comment. Very smooth indeed. So yeah the doctor being the “murderer” wasn’t really a shock.

Really? Just speculation? HMMMM!

And the reason behind the doctor’s actions were pretty cut and dry too. Not really buying that if someone has strong enough feelings they can fly their souls out of their body crap but meh. Crazy dad, crazy daughter. Surely it would have been easier to kill someone already in the hospital than find a walking around, still alive victim.

Best weapon choice since Black Butler.

I guess it wasn’t supposed to be all dramatic, the reveal. Or if it was supposed to be it failed spectacularly. So I will focus more on Yakumo’s emotions. I think Yakumo did a good job of having rage build up inside of him. Sorta like when your mom is mad at you but she won’t yell. You know you are in for a world of hurt. Yakumo was calming stating the facts but doing so in such a way that the doctor was fearing for his life. So if that is darkness I like it. The best reaction Yakumo could have at the time.

Garbage I tell you!!!!

The entire conversation with Haruka and Gotou was garbage. Gotou said he had a long story and he didn’t. Haruka wanted to better understand Yakumo but I doubt she does. Nothing of value was gained and all they did was talk about Yakumo falling into darkness. You all suck.

Oh humans get pissed off when someone is stabbed. Clearly that makes humans evil...

The scene on the roof was pretty dumb too. Why are they allowing the kid to be up there? Why can everyone see ghost Daddy? Why is Ms. Misfit taking 100 percent Line so she can jump tall buildings and generally be superman? Oh and why is ghost Daddy so bent on making Yakumo just like him? Just…weird.

You are one crazy psycho.

Is next week the last episode? I really hope so. I am ready to move on from this disappointment. Oh and I guess we will find out who got shoot too. That might be important. I am going to guess Gotou though.

Psychic Detective Yakumo episode 11

It is SO COLD.

Like you people don’t even know. Except for the people who live where it is currently 7 degrees. Then you would know. But it is safe to say that I am cold. There is snow and we cut down a tree outside and I am cold. And my husband wants to go skiing. Because I am not cold enough.

Oh yes. Spoilers for all.

Let’s see if we can get this episode posted in between the hours of super spotting internet. Spoilers for….um..nothing really.

My life really, really sucks doesn't it?

Episode Summary: Yakumo is all being quiet because his Uncle has just given him the bad news. Haruka notices this but they get in the car with the reporter lady and off they go to the hospital. Gotou and Ishii rush to Uncle’s house because neither Yakumo or Isshin were picking up their phones. Ishii goes to the car to protect Nao. Gotou is like WHOA there is ghost dad and Isshin punches him out. Isshin then invites ghost dad inside to have a talk. See Isshin doesn’t want to have bad feelings towards ghost dad anymore and wants to call a truce. Or say AHAHA Yakumo will never be evil like you. Isshin is rewarded with a stab to the gut. Gotou eventually wakes up and tells Ishii to call the police and Nao not to cry. Elsewhere Yakumo, Haruka, and reporter lady were at the hospital and they briefly run into the ghost who is running around saying sorry to her victims.

I'm here to do your job?

Yakumo finally gets the call that Isshin has been stabbed. For some reason they all leave the hospital and are nearly run over by some crazy only to find out Uncle is going to the hospital they were just at. When they get done waiting they are told that Isshin lost too much blood and is now brain dead. Nao is allowed to cry now. Gotou promised Isshin earlier that he would take care of Nao if something happens to him. Gotou takes her home and the wife is pleased or something. Gotou tries to return to work but his boss is like you need to be with your family right now, if all you can do is just be there. So onward he goes home. But not before he makes the coroner Yakumo has been told by the doctor all is lost. Haruka sits by him quietly as Yakumo probably thinks his life is horrible. Elsewhere Ms. Misfit is in her cell wanting to see Ghost Dad. And she gets her wish as he comes and takes over her body. Yakumo is given Isshin’s red contact and Yakumo thinks back to how his Uncle has always been there for him. THE END!

Sorry, what was I thinking. It was SUPER AWESOME!!

This episode was so amazing folks. Really a lot happened. Super excellent stuff here.

Or not. Which one do you think is the truth?

Actually I am not sure what I am going to talk about in regards to this episode. Seriously not much happened. I think I should have watched the nonyaoi boys over in Togainu no Chi land. But I guess I wanted to go in order or something. Who knows.

The foreshadowing was so subtle too.

Isshin doesn’t have to worry about a brain tumor ya’ll. Because he got stabbed. I am so shocked and surprised ya’ll.

Or you could run away. But have fun and die I guess...

I think he was taking his whole “I am a better person than that” routine a little too far. It got him stabbed. I mean how do you reason with a psycho who rapes a woman for 2 weeks, gets her pregnant, then convinces her to KILL her own child, and then afterwords kills her and the boyfriend who wanted to make everything better? Yeah I think talking to sense into dear Daddy was pretty much out of the question.

I'm thinking no....

The real question is did he stab himself? Because Daddy can’t touch anything right? Because he is a ghost? So….who did the stabbing? Because I doubt Isshin was thinking about the poor dying girl at the hospital…or was he?

Everyone isn't crying woohoo!!!

Nao is a weird little girl. We already knew that because she lacks the talking ability but really. Her dad is laying in a pool of blood and no screams? Because some crazy man told you not to cry? And now we are coloring with strangers? Okay then. But I guess it will work out since Gotou’s wife wants a child and Yakumo lives in a stolen club house.

Look at me not crying.

I thought Yakumo was doing a great job of being the strong guy that shows no emotions. First in the car on the way to the hospital and then when his Uncle was dying in the hospital. Because he showed emotions twice last week thus using up his emotions for this week. I am sure he will cry when no one is looking. But he did a great job of being a man not showing how sad he was.

This was just stupid...

However I think it was dumb to leave the hospital when hello his Uncle was going to be rushed to a hospital. Like really what hospital did your Uncle just come from for his “appointment”? That is probably the one he is going to go to NOW. What a waste of time that was nearly getting killed on the road.

Although I wonder if that was the culprit driving away, trying to run them down.

Can't forget about the ghosts!!!

The entire plot of the ghost was summed up in 5 seconds this week so that was a waste. Like oh now the ghost is apologizing. That is all we got X_X Weird.

That looks super comfortable.

Oh and did Ms. Misfit get possessed by Daddy or was he trying to kill her and take over her body? Either way she is a weirdo psychopath and we do not like her.

Sadness for all.

I think that is all…not much going on in the exciting world of everyone can see ghosts. Next week people are staring and glaring at each other. Exciting times!!!

Psychic Detective Yakumo episode 10

This has been a sad couple of days. The family cat died. I would say he was rather old but since my cat is older that would make me even sadder. But we all loved that little guy even if he was on the antisocial side. Just keep your mom in your thoughts/prayers as I don’t know how much more she can handle.

AW so cute.

So anime episodes are a little late but tomorrow I plan on getting caught up and or finish my Christmas shopping. Trying to get ready for our trip up north so things got to get done. It feels as if I will never catch up on my blogging but I will make an effort tomorrow. Promise.

For now we got Yakumo and his band of misfits. Spoilers for more dead people.

What do you mean everyone sees dead people?!!??!

Episode Summary: Somewhere in a hospital probably close to Yakumo patients are seeing dead people. More on that later as we are wishing Yakumo and Haruka are seeing off her mom. She says she has something important to send them but the train noise cuts her off. That’s fine as reporter Makoto is already on the scene interviewing doctors about the ghost. She sees Isshin come in with his doctor. He has a headache and seconds later we learn that homeboy has a brain tumor and he is going to die. Yakumo is busy being told about the ghost at the hospital and how Makoto needs more permission to interview doctors? In any event Yakumo meets up with Ishii and Gotou as they gather to speak with the coroner. Yakumo is like why did you take a picture if my dad and he is like um because he smells like dead spirit. So conclusion is Yakumo’s dad is a ghost too. Awesome.

Obviously this will end well.

For some reason Ms. Misfit is kidnapped and there is a big to do to cover up the murders and such. There is anger. Isshin is trying to find his kid since his brain tumor made him forget that young children shouldn’t be alone. He finds some girl in a wheelchair who is also dying. Isshin is like we should both cry because we are dying but we can find hope in the fact that people will remember us and live on for us. There is a suspicious looking doctor looking suspicious. Yakumo and Haruka go to Isshin to borrow the car so they can go to the hospital. Isshin tries to put on a happy face and announce that Haruka’s mom sent them a present. Turns out it is baby pictures of Yakumo. Everyone say AWWW over the fact that Yakumo’s mom is dead and he just found out she loved him. Yakumo tries to leave the room because the memories HURT you know but Isshin makes him stay. I guess Yakumo feels the love or something. In private Isshin decides to destroy that love by telling him he is dying. But since Yakumo’s dad is seen being all evil and wanting to kill Isshin he probably doesn’t need to worry about a brain tumor. THE END!!!

So everyone can see ghosts right? Yakumo is no longer special and this show should have a name change or something? Yeah I thought so.

Thanks for watching my pain.

Maybe we could change the name of the show to “let’s torture Yakumo”. Because I think that would a more appropriate title. Or maybe “Everyone Yakumo is related to is DEAD”. Poor Yakumo. Life sucks.

Headaches are serious business.

Isshin is going to die. Sucks to be you Uncle. The second you said you had a headache I was like oh he has a tumor. Sadness fills my heart. Not sure if Haruka and Yakumo are ready to be parents but I guess they don’t have much of a choice since EVERYONE ELSE IS DEAD.

But yeah. We got ghosts running around and crazy people tazing people and the closest thing we get to death we are going to get is a brain tumor. Now the question is how will he die. Is he going to be killed by the disgruntle brother in law? Is he going to throw himself in front of a bus so sick girl can get his liver or whatever she needs? Or will he just pass away from the brain tumor? I doubt the brain tumor because that is not flashy enough ya’ll. Amazing grace how sweet the sound.

So now we hug her....

I have mixed feelings about Isshin telling that random girl about death and whatnot. I mean she is a little girl and making her cry on purpose is a little X_X especially when you don’t try to comfort her. But on the other hand I thought it was nice that he was honest with her when I am sure she only hears it will be all right. When one is dying hearing false words like that might make you cry more than the reality of the situation. But since Isshin just got some crappy news himself I will forgive him for not being more careful with his words.

LOOK HOW HAPPY HE IS!!!!

Not really liking Haruka’s mom in this episode. I thought she was going to have something really cute to give Yakumo and Haruka. Like a picture of the two kids playing together and having a pretend wedding. Something that linked the two together.

I might be worrying about the fact that his eyes are half the size of his head, not that one of his eyes are red.

But no. It was just an album of cute Yakumo pictures. Oh and some pictures of his dead mom and her boyfriend. The people that Yakumo found out like two days didn’t hate him, abandon him, and leave him in this world to rot. GREAT PRESENT!!! I would have said HELL NO UNCLE I am leaving this room. Like really what was she thinking?

Obviously nothing because she decided for good measure to send a picture of Haruka’s dead twin. Like you know how everyone ended all happy last episode? GIVE ME SOME TEARS BITCHES! That is what I felt anyway.

Yakumo is having the best day ever.

So yeah people. This episode was just one big HEY YOUR LIFE SUCKS Yakumo. But I guess it was nice that he had a bit of a soft side. A human side with the tears and what not. I think anyone in his situation would have burst into tears and run from the room. But he stayed there and looked at the pictures with tears in his eyes. Then when he found out his Uncle is pretty screwed he looked devastated on the inside. Just poor Yakumo and his new found feelings.

He has to save me. I am the only one who is crazy enough to hang out with him.

I am not sure why Ms. Misfit was running around like a crazy person trying to avoid cops. One would think putting on a hat and trying to blend in with normal folks would have been a smarter idea. But then again Ms. Misfit doesn’t seem to be playing with a full deck. So yeah. That was pretty stupid.

Absolutely SHOCKING news people. Also if I smelled someone dead I would probably throw up, not call it a delicious meal.

This all leads up to the fact that Yakumo’s father is really a spirit. And probably has been the entire time since Ms. Misfit killed her own parents. So at the time of Yakumo’s mommas crazy moment he was already. Some dead dude is running around trying to kill his own son because…..just because right? His mission in life is to make everyone as miserable as he is? I don’t even know.

What I do know is Yakumo’s dad is a ghost and people took PICTURES of him. So go Yakumo. You and your red eye are super helpful and necessary for solving crimes. Super unique is your ability.

Mog I totally don't think he is choosing who lives and dies so he can hand out organs. Like totally no way.

So in conclusion about this episode everyone hates Yakumo, everyone can see dead people, and if you have a headache in an anime series you will die. Next week…we shall the kiss of death doctor at work.

Psychic Detective Yakumo episode 9

So yeah…just no more excuses. XD I am trying people. But I think I have gotten a bad case of the holiday lazies. Forgive my late blog posts but I will post them. Promise.

Also I am about to launch my cat on a rocket ship heading towards the moon. STOP EATING CHRISTMAS TREES!!!

Spoilers for….an episode who is confused on its placement in the season. Also X_X how much bad stuff can happen to one little girl.

Is it my time to shine?!?!

Episode Summary: Haruka wakes up from her LONG ASS NAP because Takeru is warning her that danger is afoot. He is like no don’t do it…but tells Haruka where to Yakumo. Ishii has grown a brain during Haruka’s long ass nap and thinks that the 4 murders are just a cover for something else. So they head on over to the crazy coroner who does computer magic and reveals that home girl who turned in the fake tape was HAHA the little girl who survived the murders 15 years ago. Ishii and his home girl Makato are like HOW INTERESTING and go to see the little girl’s (Ms. Misfit) elementary school teacher. Even though the woman is like 906 years old she remembers that the little girl came from a rough household. So Ishii and the reporter lady go to said house and find Gotou in a secret room. Gotou is like dude Takeru told me what was up and we need to go save Haruka and Yakumo. Haruka has gotten herself to her home town and meets up with her momma. Momma tells her about Yakumo’s mom and drives her to the place where Yakumo’s mom ran out of the woods all those years ago. Haruka then goes into the woods BY HERSELF! She manages to find the cabin and an unconscious Yakumo. She says some words of love to Yakumo and of course he wakes up. And of course he has an attitude. Go to see that being held captive didn’t destroy his personality or anything.

Wait I have to carry you now?

She gets him outside as he is a little woozy still. But Ms. Misfit was waiting for them and pulls a gun on them. Gotou, Ishii, and reporter lady are hiding in the house and as a way to stall Yakumo asks who did the crimes as Takeru didn’t. Turns out it was Ms. Misfit. See she was a product of incest between her mother and grandfather (possible rape on that side) and she was also getting raped herself. So when Yakumo’s father came along it gave her the courage to hack her family to pieces and follow him. Gotou tries to overpower Ms. Misfit but she tazes him again because he is a dumbass. Also Yakumo’s dad comes for fun. It is explained by multiple people that Takeru was framed for the murders (and then killed) so Yakumo’s mom would be scared that Yakumo would do the same one day and that is why she tried to kill him. OKAY THEN!!!!! But since Yakumo’s mom/ghost mom is holding back Ms. Misfit Yakumo forgives her. Also she never hated Yakumo’s eye so it is all good. Before Ms. Misfit and Yakumo’s dad can be arrested they escape, but not before Yakumo goes on about how he has people who care for him now and Yakumo’s dad saying he will fall into darkness one day. Everyone so far in the story goes to the place where Yakumo’s mom tried to kill him. She and Takeru say goodbye to Yakumo and it is very touching and lovely and AW. Yakumo feels a bit of love and has closure. Then the cast is seen doing stuff like getting yelled at by the police lady boss and going to Haruka’s concert. Everyone is HAPPY WOOHOO!!!!

Yes my child, go off into the woods alone, where another young woman was kidnapped and raped. SURELY IT WILL END WELL!!!

But yeah well then. That would have been a great ending to this series (well not great but acceptable…or expected…SOMETHING) but it wasn’t. Because it was episode 9 people!! WTF IS GOING ON??! This is so…so weird and random I don’t even know.

So…Takeru was a ghost. OKAY. So everyone saw ghost Takeru. And ghost Takeru was talking to Gotou. Everyone in this anime is amazing because they can see dead people. SO WHAT MAKES YAKUMO SPECIAL?!?!

But I want to be special....

Quite simply he isn’t. I mean his mom is running around be all visible and Takeru is showing himself off to the police and anyone with eyes. So Mr. Psychic Detective….it is hard to be the awesome main character if everyone sees dead people. And I do mean everyone.

Takeru and Yakumo’s mom being an item was not very shocking to me. More like oh…yeah. Sure. I guess it through me off because I didn’t know he was a ghost and he was looking rather young. But now it all makes sense why he was protecting Yakumo and Haruka.

What doesn’t make sense is why Yakumo’s dad was still torturing Yakumo’s mom 5 years after the fact. He obviously knew where she was if he could frame her boyfriend for the crimes so yeah. If he wanted Yakumo back why not just kidnap him? But it seemed like he wanted Yakumo dead (what with the whole yeah he will grow up and kill more than 4 people one day) so really what was his motive? Maybe he shouldn’t go around raping women if he doesn’t want little juniors running around.

Maybe that is what they are saving for us, Yakumo’s dad and his reasoning for wanting to torture Yakumo. He killed the mom and the boyfriend why not kill the son too? Or is it going to be…I am just evil and this is what evil people do…BE EVIL type deals? I don’t know, I think I am putting too much faith in this show to have reasoning.

Um hello crazy child?

Ms Misfit and her crazy reasoning for following Yakumo’s dad makes a little more sense. I really didn’t think she was the one who did the killings but I sensed she was more than happy that everyone was dead. I didn’t think that on top of being an incest baby she was also being raped but…yeah. X_X Just give her a dead dog and she could win a bingo card or something.

Okay like seriously I can see a small child killing one adult who got caught off guard. But the other three people were in the same room watching the first person getting hacked to death. Haruka and her I love you speech to Yakumo was AWWW. I was expecting him to have more of a comeback though, like maybe laugh at her and she hit him in the head or something. More violence please! But yeah…she was all like don’t die on me I don’t know your favorite color!!!!! She is cute and a goober and needs better shoes.
