Amagami SS episode 15

Day Two without the husband: Work was a mild distraction but could have gone by faster. Not many deliveries so my wallet is slightly empty. Gifted some money and a pair of shoes. Then my cat ATE his own puke. My life is amazing.

:( But the husband was not able to call or get a hold of a computer today. So that made me slightly sad. So since today was….boring at best I thought I would save the Detective show for tomorrow and blog the WONDERFUL show that is Amagami SS. Because I love that show to pieces. XD

Episode Summary: Ai is swimming in the pool not making good times. Junichi is walking home minding his own business when he is assaulted by a squid man. Or maybe the squid was handing out free tickets to an amusement park. I want to know why this doesn’t happen to me in real life, I love amusement parks! But yeah Junichi decides to give them to Ai so she can take her brother to the amusement park with Junichi and they could spoil him or something. Only Ai is a really smart girl and is like OH my brother was going to come but he got sick SHOCKING!! Junichi buys this excuse because he is pretty dumb and onward they go into the amusement park. Miya and some of the other girls decide to go buy candy since Junichi didn’t take them too. Junichi nearly dies on the roller coaster which I won’t snark because I hate roller coaster too. They then stick to safer rides and games and all is fun. Until they decide to go into the haunted house. Which is more like a haunted pyramid but you know. Junichi tries to be brave when scary stuff jumps out but he is really X_X about the whole thing.

I hate scary rides too.

Junichi then he loses his mind and starts to have visions of stuff that is not there. When they make it to the main scar (and huge mummy getting up out of a chair or something) Junichi snaps and thinks that Ai is a bowl of miso soup. Like he gets all perverted and says he is going to eat her. There is butter and fingers involved but eventually he wakes up as he is sucking Ai’s finger. Yeah. Junichi buys her a drink to make it up to her but Ai seems rather amused that Junichi is so dumb. They swing on one single swing together which results in panty flashing and Ai kissing Junichi. I KNOW RIGHT. The next day Junichi is too preoccupied with the kiss to care about porn. Ai acts normal which throws Junichi off. She asks him though to help her carry groceries after school which he agrees too. But when he goes to meet her she is crying and running away from her coach. There is some lame running into the locker room avoiding Junichi stuff but eventually she jumps into the pool and he jumps in after her. Then Ai almost drowns for some reason. But Junichi holds her close and lets her cry. Turns out she doesn’t get to be in the swim meet because her times suck and she was having a cry about it. She is all embarrassed that she cried in front of Junichi but won’t give up on her dreams. She then wants to know what Junichi is doing for Christmas so he can help with the swim team’s table but really she wants to spend time with him. He agrees and she is all like YAY the end.

Just….I don’t even know why I bother. Really I don’t.

Yay squid man!!!!

The octopus/squid man was the best part of the episode. He was fabulous. But I would never want that job ever. I say that and if I really had no money and needed to support my family I would take it…but I would die inside I think. So I shall laugh at him instead.

I do like that Ai is a lying sack of crap and it makes me almost like her. But I guess when I think about it Sae was pretty sneaky/honest too. Yeah I like Ai saying oppies my brother is sick guess it’s just the two of us. I don’t mean that to make the girls sound like crazy stalker girls. I mean that as yay the girls are being assertive in their love lives and that makes me appreciate Amagami more. And by more I mean it’s not a total pile of crap. So I am not calling the girls manipulative but…resourceful? XD

SO PERVERTED!!!!!

So was Junichi on crack when he was in the haunted house? I just don’t get it at all. He saw people who weren’t there having weird conversations. And then he saw Ai as some soup? Yeah I don’t get it. Did he lose his mind because he was so scared that this was his cooping mechanism? I do not get it.

Should I try to make an Alice and Wonderland joke here?

I mean they haven’t had a problem inserting Junichi’s perverted moments in any other storylines so far. So why did Junichi have to lose his mind to make this happen? I mean I guess you can’t get any more perverted than putting your thumb INTO someone (while they are soup). Just I don’t know why Ai let Junichi go so far in his crazy fantasy or why Junichi lost his mind or what any of this had to do with anything. Stupid.

I don’t even know what that swing shot was. Like this is punishment for trying to eat my finger, you seeing my underwear? Yeah okay. Junichi freaking out at that height? Mhm I believe it. Those two freaks reminiscing about how they met so long ago at that very park (see 3 days ago)? They deserve each other. Just a weird crazy moment that lead to Ai kissing Junichi. Could have been handled differently and it wouldn’t have felt forced.

Ai freaking out after practice was so…stupid. I know it hurts that she won’t make it to the beat or compete or whatever she was crying about. But come on. You are a freshmen. Did you really expect do have that much play time? Unless you are some amazing newbie (see every single anime ever) I don’t think freshmen should be expecting anything their first year. Earn it crazy people. Also exams are more important than sports. Thanks for playing.

Mog I saved you from drowning!

Junichi going after Ai in the pool and Ai not wanting him (and her dream crushing sempai) to see her cry was dramatic but semi realistic. Not Ai nearly drowning in the pool, that was dumb. But Junichi not thinking and going after Ai was nice. Ai being a self conscious girl was believable. This I think was done okay.

You can do it!!!

Ai trying to put the crying behind her on the walk home was nice too. I don’t see that as crazy psycho behavior but a typical girl kind of thing. I cry one second and laugh another. I get embarrassed about being sad and emotional. I am glad that Ai can see that no one was being mean to her and is still focused on being a swimmer. That is the spirit silly girl.

So overall this episode was dumb with a few moments of aw. But since this series has been that way the entire way through I am not surprised. Stay tuned for a Christmas episode that will surely…be familiar and boring.
