Kobato Drop 21d: The drop that never ends

Oh a month already. It must be time for our 13 whole pages of Kobatoness. We must thank the great ones for this tiny morsal and be happy with what we got. Even if it drives us crazy.

And yes not much happens in this chapter but we have to happy anyway people. We knew what we were getting into when we became CLAMP fans. We just have to suck it up and hope for the best.

Behold humanoid Ioryogi! He needs a haircut.

It is funny how this is the longest chapter ever but we are given such small chunks of it at a time it feel so tiny. Whoever thought up this breaking down CLAMP’s work into tiny pieces needs to be shot. Less ads more Kobato magazines.

Seriously. I think it would have been great to read all of this very interesting back story in one go. Maybe even two because I am feeling generous. But after 4 months I am all out of patience despite how everyone WANTED this interesting back story. It has become boring and OKAY we get it Kobato has an angel inside her and she’s dead let’s move on. How dare you make this boring people!

Poor Kobato feeling guilty about everything.

But part 15 of this one chapter starts off with Kobato apologizing to Ioryogi. Kobato may act like a dingbat half of the time (or does she I CAN’T REMEMBER) but she knows that she is really not completely her mission. She doesn’t know the extent of how much she is missing up Ioryogi’s plan/life but she feels the need to apologize. On one hand that is a bit -_- as she is trying to help people still and she shouldn’t have to apologize for that. But on the other hand she has a mission, she has like 7 pieces of candy, and she is breaking a rule by healing a heart of a person she likes. Could she be messing up anymore if she tried?

Do not want either Kobato to die. :(

Ioryogi looks up at Kobato and sees his angel. Suddenly we are…somewhere else. Angel Kobato and humanoid Ioryogi look down at the dying humanoid Kobato. Angel Kobato is explaining her awesome plan of using her soul as a battery for human Kobato’s body. Humanoid Ioryogi is not down with this plan for obvious reasons. I actually thought humanoid Ioryogi was going to protest more, throw a fit and maybe hold angel Kobato back. Get tough for your woman.

Also thanks CLAMP. You are the series that makes me have to explain who characters are the most. Clone this and human that. Poke my eye out with a stick why don’t you. But why am I saying humanoid Ioryogi when I think Fujimoto is the human Ioryogi. Should I just call him Ioryogi then?

Actually it's not okay!

Angel Kobato is like every other “good” character in a CLAMP series. It is okay for angel Kobato to lose her life but it’s not okay with human Kobato losing hers. Angel Kobato feels as if she is responsible when Ioryogi is the one at fault.

Everything in CLAMP matters. EVERYTHING!

I thought this scene was bittersweet. Angel Kobato can’t pronounce Ioryogi’s real name either. Well more like first. So it is sweet that it is her nickname for her sweetie…but I am sure it must cut Ioryogi when he hears human Kobato saying the same words.

We don’t get to see Ioryogi. BOOOO! Also he looks scruffy and not badass like I thought he was. But since we have to wait to find out that Ioryogi is actually another version of Fujimoto it is understandable. That would also explain why Ioryogi doesn’t want human Kobato to be with Fujimoto as Ioryogi feels as if any version of himself will ruin any version of Kobato. That is some weird kind of self hatred.

:( No poofing please. Maybe the Tsubasa gang can track down some spare bodies.

:( More bittersweet scenes. Because we can’t say love people. But since this is as close as we are going to get take it people. Poor Ioryogi. :( I feel bad for him.

A no win situation for all YAY!

So despite human’s Kobato new wish may lead to the destruction of angel Kobato Ioryogi is willing to support her. He is going to fulfill the “dying” wish of angel Kobato which was to save human Kobato. It probably kills him inside and he will lose his girl and body forever but he is willing to be punished. I am sure he is thinking of how he can save both Kobatos and he will be the only death. Sadness for everyone.

Kobato needs to work on her angry face.

I think the walk down memory lane is done for now. Okita is now on the scene and Kobato is going give him hell. You know, call him a great big meanie head and what not. She shall do so and be unaware of all the events going around her and how her decisions impact so many other people.

Be fluffy CLAMP. Make this a fluffy CLAMP title please. Happiness for all. Just for the record this Card Captor Sakura was fluffy, Tsubasa was only semi fluffly since two people are still not…there, and RG Veda is game over. Work accordingly.

Also I said the word Ioryogi so many times I am confused on how it is spelled now. It is no longer a word to me.
