Kuroshitsuji II episode 3

Apparently we are not getting a better version of this episode so here I am. Sorry Kuroshitsuji. You are getting screenies with huge subtitles and a slightly blurry picture quality. I waited and waited but my preferred city never got the good ones. :(

Rejoice people as there is no Elizabeth this episode! Of course that means this week the episode is 100 percent better than last week but that is not saying much…..

In any event come experience the confusion that is Kuroshitsuji II episode 3. When we are is a good question but at least we all can be lost together.

Episode Summary: It is a beautiful night in London. A lovely young couple leaves a photography place happily talking about their wedding portrait. Some fairy dust sparkles on the screen and BAM the wife bursts into blames and crumbles into ashes as her husband and a crowd watches. Ciel gets a letter from the Queen (??!?!?!) asking him to investigate these shenanigans. But since Ciel really loves the Queen he will take the case. When he gets there his buddies from Scotland Yard are investigating AKA Fred Abberline (?!?!?!?). There isn’t really much to investigate since the burnt lady is just a bunch of sparkles. Ciel tries to act cocky in front of the two men but Sebastian trying to adopt kittens ruins his street cred. Sebastian introduces Ciel to the Undertaker (?!?!?!!?) and the Undertaker shows Ciel the leftover bits of the lady which is some sparkly fairy dust. Ciel and Sebastian attend the funeral of the recently deceased lady and watch in interest as the photographers from the first scene show up with the last pic of Ms. Dead. Ciel notices that the woman of the pair has sparkles all over her. Ciel makes a call to his pal Lau (??!?!?!?) who says he sold a lot of magnesium to the photographer people. A LOT.

I reject your love.

But home girl photographer person done loses her mind before Sebastian and Ciel can even get there. She sets her husband and their studio on fire. The reason she is killing people: because she was in a happy marriage and was mad she got fat. Excellent. She then runs through the city setting people on fire. On their way to stop el crazy they run into Grell whom Ciel meets for the first time (???!?!?!?!?!). Grell tries to make love to Sebastian and Sebastian runs away. Ciel somehow gets separated from Grell and Sebastian. Grell explains that he is in town to collect Ms. Crazy’s soul. Since Ciel is all alone he naturally finds the crazy lady in a tower sprinkling down her fairy powder. He pulls a gun on her but she is knee deep in crazy. But Sebastian and Grell soon arrive, Sebastian using Grell as a meat shield since the fairy dust doesn’t affect him. Grell also decides to dance around in fruit as the lady tries to blow him up. Sebastian tries to keep the lady alive but she sets herself on fire mumbling about some guy with golden eyes telling her to do so. Grell is sad he was unable to collect her soul and leaves his precious Sebastian. Ciel also says love is stupid. Later that night Sebastian wakes Ciel up to tell him he found a book containing information about previous combustion cases and how another noble family helps the Queen with investigations. And it’s Alois WOOHOO! The end!

Well then people. WELL THEN!

What am I well thening about? I said last week I wanted answers on what the heck was going on in this crazy anime. I wanted to know why Ciel was still alive, while everyone was friends with Lau still, and why all seemed right in the world. We got our answer this week but I doubt it is the answer that anyone wanted.

Back in time people. Back in time. -_- Do you see my angry face? Perhaps you can’t see my angry face because you are too busy making your own. Is this season going to be one long punk? If so I am probably going to be angry for a while.

So Ciel is dead people. Sebastian ate his soul. Or maybe not. Maybe half the season will be this prequel crap and the rest will be Ciel being alive. The reason I am all confused is Sebastian had to go GET Ciel’s ring from Alois to bring him back right? Ciel had his look at me I am dead clothes on. But in this episode Ciel didn’t know the Undertaker or Grell and his Aunt was still alive. Also the Queen wasn’t a rotting corpse. SOOOOO we are back in time and Ciel doesn’t know Alois yet. But Alois has his ring and Ciel died. This all makes sense, no one is confused!

So putting aside that I have no idea what is going on I guess I can talk about the episode. It was more of a oh, Ciel and Sebastian are fighting crime episode. An episode we would have loved in season 1 but here it is now. So I can’t really say AW Ciel and Sebastian are back working together again as it is really before season 1. But I guess it was nice. There was no Elizabeth so that is a plus right?

It felt really weird, watching Ciel meet the Undertaker and Grell for the first time. We already knew their MO so Ciel making the X_X faces for the first time was a bit off. Also I thought Ciel was pretty surprised to see Grell with Madam Red in season 1 so meh. MEH PEOPLE. This all felt so weird and out there.

I know when someone tells me I can find happiness in killing random strangers I believe them.

I really didn’t get what crazy photographers deal was. She was really weak as a bad guy. I realize that she was only used to further the bad guy next week/rest of the season but I would have liked her evilness to have been fleshed out a little more. Woe is her having an arranged marriage. So it is random people’s fault that she got fat and she was unhappy. I think she sprinkled herself with too much fairy dust there.

At least he is wearing clothes.

Grell was a crazy froot loop today. I mean every day he is a crazy person but today he took the cake. Or the fruit as it would be. Poor Sebastian being sexually harassed. Poor us for having to watch Grell make love to the camera. And poor Will for always having to deal with the co-worker from hell.

Sebastian loving kittens could not save this episode. But it was pretty cute. XD Every anime needs more kittens.

So in conclusion….everyone is alive and friends. Crazy lady was used to create havoc for a bigger baddie. And Alois is the other family that the Queen loves. This all must take place before season 1 and my brain melted. We got answers but I think I was expecting something else. Le sigh ya’ll le sigh.

I feel pretty, oh so pretty....

At least there were sparkles.
