Winter Anime List 2010: Things are looking grim

Most bloggers have already posted their MOG Winter Anime 2010 posts. I am not most bloggers. I am lazy and tend to have problems blogging the shows I LIKE (I love you CANAAN seriously I do) so it would be crazy to assume I could do something early. But I accept that about myself and make excuses about my lazy behavior. Yay me.

But here is my post in all its late glory. And TECHNICALLY it is still fall. Winter doesn’t start until like the 21st right? So technically I am posting this post with two weeks to spare. And most of the new shows don’t start until January so REALLY I am beyond early. Now I am impressed with myself.

See how awesome my excuses are.

You call that an anime season?

Be warned…this might not be the most impressive/long post ever. In fact it looks like my Winter Anime season will be as full as my Fall Anime season. AKA not full at all.




Just going by how the art is drawn and most of the synopsis Qwaser of Stigmata looked really, really awesome. An anime that had some pretty faces, magic, fighting, and possible WTF moments. Of course I was just looking at the New Winter Anime Line-up picture. When I decided to find a longer synopsis my computer was attacked by boobies. Tons of boobies. I thought a porn site infected my computer.

But it turns out that Qwaser of Stigmata is an ecchi manga and it is popular with people (mainly young boys who have yet to see real boobies) so they decided to make an anime about it. I have been fooled. Of course then I went back to the Line-up page and notice the phrase “breast milk”. So yeah. Got my hopes up too soon. It might have a lovely plot line and all but I won’t give it a chance. Sadness fills my heart. Why must potential storylines be utterly destroyed in favor of boobies.

So continuing down the list….not a whole lot is catching my eye. That and I am looking really hard at the synopsis’s for weird phrases like breast milk.
There is a vampire show. On one blog someone commented THANK GOD for a vampire anime FINALLY. X_X Seriously?

So the synopsis looked decent enough. It almost sounded like the Vampire Princess Tepes (because there are no normal vampires okay, they are all princess) would just try to protect her kind and it is the humans who are hunting them for no reason. Interesting.

Then I found the preview clip. Apparently Miss Tepes fights naked/topless. ALL THE TIME. :( Why….why are all animes made by boys who think only boys watch anime…WHY?!
That and Tepes looked like she liked eating people. So meh. I might have checked this out for a bit but I have no desire to see a naked 12 year old on a weekly basis. Even if that 12 year old I actually 67873 years old her body is not. EW.

One show that struck me as interesting was Hidden God. The synopsis did not contain the words breast, boobies, milk, and nudity. Things were on the up and up.

Can you alone save this anime season?

Synopsis: Hiroshi moves into Jogamachi, a serene village with a river that divides old and new, where ancient traditions still remain. Bewildered, he settles in and befriends his classmates, but Nemuru Kushinada’s only words are a warning to stay away from the old part of town. There, terror and mystery awaits.

I had a hard time finding anything else about this anime. So I think I shall check out at least one episode to get a feel of this mysterious anime. The first sign of bra straps and I am gone though.

Continuing over the list…nothing else interests me. And it also reminds me Eden of the East should have movies coming out soon or they should be out already. X_X But back to the point other bloggers feel the same way about this season so I don’t feel as bitchy letting my opinion fly unfiltered. So…maybe I can just catch up on older series that I have been neglecting? MMM that sounds familiar. Or maybe I will change my mind if I see other people blogging new series and they turn out to be interesting.

But for now…this blogger is sad. And now wondering how Qwaser of Stigmata explains how all of those women lactate….
