Tenchi's Thoughtful Christmas Gift or Endless Kisses for the Husband!

Happy Holidays my lovely readers/stumblers onto my site! I hope everyone has had a great past few days. What with holidays and after holiday shopping and work I have been a bit busy lately. Who knew shopping could be so tiring?! I think I left a few things in the store for other people...Also I have been a bit slow on posts because my poor little fingers were smushed in the register at work. XO I need those fingers!!!
Photobucket
Christmas Duffy is ready for his Christmas breakfast. It will be a long day. XD
But yes! Time to post again folks. And since I am super excited about what the husband got me for Christmas I will start with that first. Because really...kisses forever. XD
Photobucket
XO A new Duffy is on the scene AND new pins?
In the past year or so the husband and I have been becoming more and more interested in visiting Disney. And while tickets are expensive we have found other ways to enjoy Disney, mainly visiting Downtown Disney. One of our favorite things to do while at Downtown Disney is to trade Disney pins with cast members. We would stock up on cheaper pins from the Discount Disney stores and trade away.
Photobucket
And then there were many happy smiles.
But sometimes we actual buy new pins at the store. Shocking I know. I noticed on various Disney boards people seemed to have up to date information on pins before they were released so we went in search of other websites that would have such information. Once Upon a Pin Podcast was one such site. There we learned that that there was going to be a big pin event to celebrate the grand opening of New Fantasyland.
Photobucket
Okay so I wasn't really there...
Naturally I was very excited. I think Fantasyland is my favorite part of Disney (mostly because my brave level is low and Fantasyland rides are my speed) and I have a really fun time exploring the new parts of Fantasyland when we visited for the Christmas Party. Well this pin event was taking place on a Thursday and it was outside the Disney theme parks. Oh and we just had come back from a vacation from Orlando and funds were low. It said all the pins were limited edition and there seemed to be rules set in place that people could only buy so many since these things get overwhelming. So the husband and I just looked at the pics of all the pretty pins and talked about how maybe things would be different when or if we became annual passholders.
Photobucket
I didn't even SEE this pin on line. So not only did the husband surprise me but he picked out great pins!
Well unbeknownst to me the husband had hatched a plan that night. In Christmases past the husband had a hard time....getting presents under the tree. Like IOUs because he ordered the items too late and they didn't arrive on time. But this year he was already on the ball. A nendoroid sized packaged has already arrived at my house. But he decided to wrap that in Valentine's paper and go with another plan.
Photobucket
Thanks coworker via the husband. XD You made this present even greater.
The husband thought up the sweetest plan ever. He had to work on the event day, Thursday December 6th. He has to get up at 4:45 am every work day to get to work on time. But that Thursday he went to work, got off at 4:00, and drove the 2.5 hours it takes to get to Orlando to get in line for this pin event, buy said pins, and drove all the way back home so he could go to work in a few short hours. XO Did I mention he had to take his work friend along for the ride because said work friend is an annual passholder thus could buy the only passholder pins? Everyone say AWWWW now.
Photobucket
Favorite pin of the bunch.
So come Christmas day my face was beyond surprised. What a lovely, thoughtful, and time consuming gift that was given to me. My little eyes were full of happy tears and I couldn't stop hugging the husband. I think he hit it out of the park with creativity and love. Just AWWWW!!!
Photobucket
XO I even got a box set?! How spoiled am I?!
I think the general mood of Christmas was...the husband "won". For some reason my family always talks about the winning gift, all in good fun though. Obviously a gift given in love and good spirits is appreciated but we acknowledge a gift that seems to go over the top for a certain person. Do you think the husband won?
Photobucket
Love the new area for the Dumbo ride. Before it was just boring. I still can't believe how much TIME the husband spent on this gift. I know some people year after year spend all of the 23rd of December shopping. Because Christmas changes the date every year and it sneaks up on people....
Photobucket
Under the Sea! I am sure to ride this many times in the coming years.
The husband kept the AW factor going with saying things like I wish you could have come to the event and things like that. Since we are new to this pin thing the only "event" I have been to is the first Halloween party of the year at the Magic Kingdom and seeing the line for pins that night. In fact I didn't know what that line was for. I got in line and told the husband to find out what was going on. XD
Photobucket
Can't wait to eat there!!
So what does everyone think? Spoiled Tenchi? Amazing husband? I was just in awe the rest of the day since the husband insisted I open these first. I don't think he could have kept it in any longer. All month long he was like oh I guess it is 1X amount of days til you can open your presents. I think he was a little proud of himself.
Photobucket
First pin event taking up half the board.
The day after Christmas was spent buying ornaments and such. But I made a stop to by a cork board so I could properly display my lovelies. I wasn't wasting any time with this gift.
Photobucket
The husband's coworker is at Disney this week so I asked him to pick up more Disney maps to add to the board.
Also a hidden treasure to these pins is that there is a giraffe involved. I love giraffes! So it is like a 2 and one gift! Plus only 250 of these sets were made so I feel special in that regard too. XD
Photobucket
All my lovelies.
I think that just about wraps up how amazing my husband is. There was a pic of Kira trying to drag away one of my pins but I have no idea where it ended up. I was like NOOOOO not my pin! Goober cat. I hope everyone else gave and received lovely and thoughtful presents. Or ate a lot of good food because that can be an awesome gift too. XD

Merry Christmas!!!!

Hello there my lovely readers and people who happened to stumble upon my blog. Tis very early in the morning, only mice are stirring. And maybe someone in a red suit breaking into houses under the guise of leaving people presents. The point being....it's Christmas!!!!
Photobucket
Oh hi we are cute so that makes Christmas even better.
Merry Christmas!!!!! After 365 days of waiting that magical day of Christmas is upon us! So Merry Christmas to all who celebrate this day and all it represents. To everyone else Happy Holidays or Happy Tuesday!
Photobucket
Gosh Tenchi. Us K-On! girls celebrated Christmas Eve. Get with the program!
It will be a busy day I believe today. Probably will be the case for most people. SO much eating, unwrapping, worshiping, and laughing to do. Hopefully everyone takes a moment to be grateful for any and all blessings received this year. I know for some it will be hard to do as not everyone is blessed with a great year so I hope those people can take time and find support in their love ones and friends. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good....well I guess day. XD

O Christmas Tree(s), Oh Christmas Tree(s)

It's almost Christmas folks! Well for the ones who celebrate Christmas in one form or another. For everyone else it is time to battle long lines at stores and to wonder where the heck all this traffic came from.
Photobucket
The dining room!
I sorta do Christmas up big at my house. A little....much maybe. We don't do anything to the front of the house so maybe there is hope for me yet? But yeah...I have 8 Christmas tress in my house, 7.5 feet to 3 feet. XD
Photobucket
I try to keep to themes when it comes to my tree. I don't want a Hello Kitty ornament next to a regular snowman or Santa. That would just be crazy. CRAZY TALK! That and if I didn't have separate trees I would need a 15 foot tree for all the ornaments.
Photobucket
My little Mexican tree. Technically not all of these are ornaments but this is my newest tree so I stretch it a little.
Photobucket
In addition to having 382327 ornaments I also have plushies and other fun things to decorate the house with. XD Usually it takes a long time to set everything up but I only had days to set up! The brother was going to move away so we celebrated Christmas three days after Thanksgiving. SET UP FAST!
Photobucket
Some decorations near the kitchen area. The husband is usually only responsible for bringing up the boxes and such but this year I needed more help to set up fast while having to go to work too. So he set to work getting the trees set up and taking things out of boxes. Careful with these, they are fragile.
Photobucket
The funny thing about most of my Precious Moments Christmas things is most of them were Christmas presents. Actually...a lot of my ornaments are Christmas presents from other people. XD I guess I am easy to shop for. Oh yeah and spoiled. X___X
Photobucket
Little dough ornament tree. No Kira you cannot knock them off the tree even though they are tiny. XD Kira has actually been pretty good this year about not knocking everything down. Our little guy that we lost earlier this year was more of the NOM NOM trees and present cat. :( Rest in Peace Kiki. Are you eating trees up in heaven now?
Photobucket
Disney tree! This seems to be the fastest growing tree I have in terms of new ornaments. It got upgraded to a bigger tree this year.
Photobucket
One of my favorite new ornaments. Make a Rapunzel ride now Disney!
Photobucket
Decorations near the window. This is the only nonHello Kitty stocking I have. The husband has claimed it for his own.
Photobucket
Like my shopping bag? XD
Photobucket
Behold the biggest tree in the house. It might have to get updated to one of those spin or something. XD So many Hello Kitty ornaments! It looks like a department store. X___X
Photobucket
Sometimes I am not fair to my ornaments and I put the same ones out front each year. I gotta give everyone equal showing right?
Photobucket
All my Hello Kitty stuff. I failed to take a picture of the penguin tree is looks like. X___X The other Hello Kitty stockings are in that room. Foolish me. But I love Hello Kitty plushies and these are the only ones the mom will buy since they get put up the rest of the year.
Photobucket
The Precious Moments tree. The Disney tree took its usual tree so things look a little smushed.
Photobucket
The mother loves Precious Moments too so she gets jealous when she sees my tree. I only say that to point out that she is the GOOBER who got me like 90 percent of the ornaments. Keep some for yourself mom gosh! Love my little turtly.
Photobucket
My little random Hallmark tree in the bedroom. Not enough of them to make certain trees so they come together and try to be cute. Does it work? Well besides the MIA penguin tree that is Christmas Tenchi style. I love the sparkles and decorations and how each ornament is so cute on its own. It takes a while but I think it is worth it. Why just have one tree when you can have 8?! XD

Christmas=Penguin Palooza

The post I had planned for today sorta...never happened. I was going to search the web and a list of what I thought were some awesome Hello Kitty Christmas trees.

I have come to the conclusion that my Hello Kitty tree is the best one out there. But I am not biased at all.

But on a serious note there wasn't many trees posted on the web. And the ones that I could find were either sparsely decorated (doesn't everyone who likes Hello Kitty own 58678 ornaments?!) or the trees were pink. And I hate pink trees.

So...being as I love Christmas trees I shall post another one of my many trees. Behold the power of the penguins. Also my fellow Hello Kitty fans, I know you are out there buying all the ornaments at Target. POST YOUR PICTURES!

Photobucket

You walk in my house and BAM there's a tree!

My husband has asked before what penguins have to do with Christmas. I am not sure what these cute critters have to do with Baby Jesus, Santa, or the spirit of giving but I am not complaining. I love penguins so much and Christmas time gives me a chance to stock up on their cuteness.

Photobucket

Does my tree look on fire?

Since I discovered that Hallmark is not only a place where you can purchase overpriced cards I have fallen in love with the penguin trio collection. Every year they release an ornament (or two...) that features three adorable baby penguins having fun. One day I will probably have a tree just dedicated to these cuties. For now they must play with the other penguins.

Only penguins can eat ice cream in the middle of winter on a pile of snow XD

Photobucket

Lovin the trio!

Maybe I am transparent at which penguins are the cutest on my tree...But I can' help it. I love these three little guys so much I am willing to spend a more than retail price to get the special ones I have missed out in the past. I am that special.

This ornament is too playful for words. Down the slide they go!

Photobucket

Yay for expensive ornaments!

I LOVE THIS SERIES OKAY! So if you are reading this Hallmark ornament makers never discontinue this line. Or I will cry.

Photobucket

Tree toppers are overrated.

Just like with the Hello Kitty I have no penguin topper. Probably because I spend all my money on ornaments I can't afford toppers and tree skirts. But I have pleeeeeeeeenty of plushies to stick on top of trees so life is great. This little guy was originally a gift card holder. Best gift card holder ever!

Photobucket

Glass ornaments+clumsy Tenchi=?

Okay technically this is another trio ornament. I can't help it. They are just too cute for words.

But in my defense this is a bulb ornament, not a little 3D cutie. They were originally one of those buy 3 cards, get this item at a discounted price deal. That is not how Tenchi plays though. XD I get most of my ornaments the day after Christmas (my Black Friday) so I got this baby for 3 dollars! Yay is me!

But this is actually a heavy little ornament. I better not have a klutz attack and break it. OR my little fur babies better not climb the tree...

Photobucket

LET IT SNOW PENGUINS!

See I do have other ornaments beside the cute trio. Most penguins like to wear scarfs for some reason. They can sit on ice cubes and eat ice cream but they need to wear scarves. I like how the ice cubes sparkles against the lights. XD

Photobucket

An army of penguins!

I do love my penguin plushies. XD Instead of having a tree skirt I decided to line my tree with my ever growing collection of scarf wearing birds. Any time there is a row of Christmas plushie I'm there checking to see if there is a penguin in the collection. Most of these were gifts because I know awesome people. That and I think it's pretty simple to buy for me: Hello Kitty and penguins.

SQUEEZE THE CUTENESS!

So there is tree number two in my Christmas exploded house. Next year that tree will have more ornaments and more plushies guarding the base. Thanks for stomping by the Magical World of Tenchi has too many trees!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I haven't felt the Christmas spirit before today. I think Black Friday zapped a lot of that fun MOG it is almost Christmas time. Balancing work and putting up my six tress (yes I said six) almost seemed like a chore at times. And putting up Christmas trees should not be a chore. Not a single present has been wrapped and not a single Christmas cookie had been eaten.

Of course it is only December 5th so there was still plenty of time to get that spirit and I was being over dramatic about expecting to feel it so soon anyway.

But none of that matters now as I have felt the Christmas spirit. GO CHRISTMAS!

I attended my husband's work Christmas party tonight. And it was actually fun despite the fact work parties have a tendency to make the non working (at that company) spouse feel out of place and silly conversations about other worker's kids. People are usually friendly with me and I always think to myself "Thank God I don't have kids". XD

The food was fun, the music was entertaining, and it was nice being around people who were getting in the holiday spirit. But the real source of this year's Tenchi needs to feel Christmas was from the hallway. Yes that place that often gets neglected at events. Unless that event is an anime convention. Then that is where half the action and random stuff takes place.

This particular hallway in the fancy hotel the party was being held (yay for feeling important) was home to about 65 Christmas trees. And since I love Christmas trees (hello 6 of them) it was like heaven for me. XD

So enjoy some of the pictures from the hallway of awesomeness. I felt kinda weird being the only one taking pictures of the trees. Then I realized that everyone left their cameras at home and were secretly jealous of me. So I felt better. Enjoy and let the spirit of Christmas fill you.

Photobucket

Have a awesome Christmas dude.

Photobucket

That is a sad showing of a Hello Kitty tree. :( I am ignoring the fact it is a toy tree.

Photobucket

I am sure this makes sense and it is not in fact a Santa corpse.

Photobucket

In Florida we like to decorate trees with flamingos and sea shells in case we forget we are in fact in Florida.

Photobucket

A white tree that is surprisingly not tacky.

Photobucket

Military tree for a military party.

Photobucket

I shall call you my whoville tree.

Photobucket

Simple and elegant.

Photobucket

I wish I had a fishing tree....

Photobucket

You are not a tree. But you are still pretty.

Photobucket

Cat houses make the perfect Christmas trees. Also they are perfect as they do not look tasty to cats like normal Christmas trees.

Photobucket

Sometimes less is more.

Photobucket

This tree makes me hungry.
