Sword Art Online episode 11

Hello there my lovely readers. I am currently attempting to catch up on anime and house work at the same time. I am still confused on how two people can generate so much laundry. Three loads of laundry in one day? How is this possible? XD What would happen if we had kids? Oh lord that would be a nightmare. Aren't they constantly getting their clothes dirty and what not? I need to teach my cat how to do chores or something.

Onward to adventure with fun Kirito!
But in between dryer sheets and folding shirts anime watching has gotten done today folks. Up now is Sword Art Online episode 11. Spoilers for getting married, going on a honeymoon, and having a kid in under a week!

Also you let crazy people join!
Episode Summary: Kirito and Asuna march on over the Heathcliff and tell him about the two dead guild members. In light of the distrust going on Asuna requests a leave of absence from the guild. Heathcliff grants it but smirks, saying they won’t be gone for long. Asuna and Kirito marry and pool all their money together to buy a nice house on a lake in a lower level. Kirito decides to ruin the moment by asking if this relationship will last over into the real world. Asuna gets a bit RARW and says she hunt the boy down and they will remain a couple in the real world. The couple has two whole days together, playing and not risking their lives for ungrateful players. Asuna wakes up (in her own bed) saying they must play together again. Kirito is like what more playing but agrees to take Asuna to a special place. Asuna insists he carry her on his shoulders and Kirito is embarrassed by this act. This makes them even as Asuna woke up and had an embarrassing thought that Kirito might be younger than her. Kirito plays up the husband role though, pretending not to be embarrassed when other players catch Asuna on his shoulders. He takes her around to a forest, explaining that he heard from others real ghosts appear in the woods. Asuna sees something white and shiny and freaks out. Upon further inspection said white and shiny object is a girl who has no name above her head. They take the girl back to their house and determine she is not an NPC as they could move her and a quest did not appear above her head. But young players usually log in with their parents so where are hers? Since the girl passed out in the woods they go to sleep as well. Asuna wakes up in the middle of the night though to snuggle with the girl.

Taxes for...what?
The next morning the girl is awake and impresses on the audience the most annoying voice ever. She can only remember her name is Yui and freaks out. She declares Kirito and Asuna her parents and Asuna is like MOG I AM A MOM! She immediately takes to the roll and Kirito tries to joke around a bit with spicy foods and what not. Yui passes out after eating and the two agree the house seems more fun with the little girl. But Kirito tries to point out that A they just met her and B someone is probably missing her. They agree to go to the Town of Beginnings to try and find her parents. Onward they go to the place that changed their lives. When they arrive at the town they notice it is super quiet for a place that should have roughly 2k people. They hear some yelling and take off. What appears to be a school teacher is trying to rescue some kids from THE ARMY! They have gone all Robin Hood on them and are demanding taxes. Asuna takes out her sword and beats up the main bully. No one knows who Asuna and Kirito are despite the fact they look just like the guys they saved a few days ago but who knows. After Asuna kicks around one of the Army dudes for a few seconds everyone runs off all upset. The teacher thanks Asuna while the kids declare her amazing and cool. Kirito smiles as he was holding Yui and making sure she was okay. Suddenly Yui freaks out, saying that everyone’s hearts are in the sky. She reaches for it and says that she has always been alone, in the dark and wasn’t here originally. THE END!

Quick lets adopt her!
Well Kirito. I heard from people’s on the internet you may or may not have released two years worth of…..passion into Asuna before agreeing to marry her and move into the woods. Well I hope it was worth it. XD Two days into your honeymoon you already got a kid? Mood killer indeed!

Coming across as kinda creepy there dude.
I am glad that they showed a scene between Heathcliff and the couple. I am not one to follow dates (silly Mirai Nikki) but they probably should have done that right after the whole OH LOOK dead people moment. XD Not gone home and had sexy times. People might have come and interrupted said moment. Heathcliff should have been worried and what not. I complain that there is huge gaps in the first 9 episodes and not that things are happening one day after another I can’t even pay attention. But at least hey asked for permission. Given what happened maybe Heathcliff should have ordered they lay low for a little bit. Hard to tell if he is trying to rescue everyone from the game or if he is a power tripping asshole.

And now we are poor yay!
X___X How much do houses cost in this game? Yes it is on the lake and being lower level means more people could have access to it without immediate danger but really. Those two are incredibly high level players. Yes equipment becomes expensive at the high levels but you should be able to fight higher level monsters and get better drops. Not everything will be for your class so you run and sell it for cash. To think that they spent that much money on a house that they won’t be allowed to stay at for long periods of time…clearly the two years worth of….passion corrupted their brains. XD

Way to ruin the moment Kirito.
Kirito asking if this relationship was going to be real in the real world was a valid question. Of course Asuna had a right to be mad that Kirito was questioning their relationship. Both were correct. I am sure some people were just being couples for game purposes and knew in real life things would never work out. Sorta like when people have relationships while on summer break in far away places. For the time and place things are right but for your real life things just won’t work out. But for Asuna this game has become her real life. Well it has become everyone’s real life technically….but yes. It is a game that has your real life personality and appearance imprinted in it. It is hard to pretend to be something that you’re not. So I can see how she thought that this was a real relationship and would be offended that Kirito didn’t know that.
Photobucket
I am going to take my real feelings and chew you out now.
I was going to say PLUS Kirito is a dumb boy and one that has never been in a relationship before thus he didn’t know what to do anyway. But this is a complicated situation the remaining players have found themselves in. Yes this game isn’t real but in a sense it is. Their memories are intact as well as their personalities and appearances. It is about as real as it can get…with monsters and quests. So I can see how things can get confusing in terms of is this a fling in the game or is it real?
Photobucket
Wait are you younger than me?
I love how Asuna and Kirito were sleeping in separate beds. Like oh is someone recharging after two years worth of….passion? So cute, so 1950’s American TV. And it is day three of their honeymoon and Kirito is already thinking about going back. But Asuna we might make Heathcliff maaaad. We can’t go crazy and take a whole week off. Seriously I thought Asuna was asking for tons of time off. As she deserves. Like a month. But Kirito is like um bored now. Remember the boy taking a nap in the grass? Well apparently he wants to go back to work. Asuna…you is boring.
Photobucket
SMILE KIRITO!!!
But Kirito has taken on the role of husband perfectly. By doing things that your spouse wants to do that you don’t necessarily want to do. But Kiritoooooooo I want you to carry me on your shoulders. XD I thought it was cute and maybe Kirito was being a bit of a stick in a mud. You are young and a new couple. Who cares if you are carrying her around on your shoulders. XD Silly boy. But maybe he is shy.
Photobucket
And that is scarier than huge boss monsters...how?
And then Kirito turned into a boy. Like oh my idea of spending the day with you is to take you to a creepy part of the woods that may or may not inhabit ghosts. The idea of a ghost in this game is pretty silly though…even if they already went down this road. The thought that an animal/monster in the game could be a “ghost”…is special. It is data. What is the difference between the alive monster and the dead monster? I can see how the dead players might be left over data floating around but I don’t really know why Asuna was freaking out and acting so scared? Hasn’t she seen actual scary things in this game? It is a GAME. How can a ghost be in a GAME?! Ghosts are for the real world sillies.
Photobucket
This is after 5 minutes of conversation. ARE YOU CRAZY?!
But it turns out that Kirito and his little ghost trip was cut short. For they found a child in the woods. A child. A CHILD! Dear lord Asuna lost her damn mind all over that kid. Had she never seen a child before? Do kids not play games in Japan? Why is it so weird that this kid might have played the game and got trapped like everyone else? Why assume they had parents AND were all alone the entire time. It was so odd. Like it took less time for Asuna to be all motherly than it did Alice in the newest Resident Evil movie. Oh spoiler alert: Alice becomes a random mother in the new Resident Evil movie. I just saved you $8. XD
Photobucket
Oh hi stranger. You must be my momma yes?
But this Yui kid was acting pretty weird too. You wake up in a stranger’s bed, only remember your name, and the first thing that pops in your head are these two teenagers are your mom and dad? What are wrong with kids these days? Spoiler alert for The Walking Dead comics: Three different kids decided after their parents died to call other adults their mom and dad. Like the next day. Of course all three of these kids may or may not have been crazy at the time but still. X___X I am not sure if Asuna was the crazy one or Yui was. Either way they were contagious.
Photobucket
You guys moved in like 10 minutes ago! What is this?!
Kirito wasn’t as crazy with the whole daddy issue. He is still trying to work on the husband issue. He did some mild playing with the spicy sammich but that was more like Kirito babysitting, not trying to be a father. At least he had the good sense to be like Asuna we can’t adopt her…she probably belongs to someone else. We can’t just run around stealing kids that we have known for less than 16 hours. Just a bad idea. But Kirito was not helping with the whole house feels more homey with the kid in tow. Like what the hell, you just go there dude. Get a house plant or plant!
Photobucket
Where are all the people?
The Town of Beginnings has really changed hasn’t it? We barely saw any players this week but I thought it would have been full of low level players haggling for items and hanging out. And maybe it used to be like that. But now that the Army has taken over it looks like floor one isn’t safe. Maybe everyone is at level 2 instead. But what is the point of the Army? I thought they were just some dumbasses trying to make a name for themselves? A guild trying to help the little people. Can’t be helping the little people if you are stealing 4th graders armors and what not. LOSERS!
Photobucket
Most terrifying battle ever!!!!!
Asuna and the battle was…well rather tame. I guess it had to be since they were in town and Asuna doesn’t want to run around as an orange player. But one would think if it was 20 on 1 and no one recognized the bad ass one people might have tried to overpower Asuna. Instead they were like OH NOS she used a sword we have to run. Your many thanks were appreciated random babysitter/teacher lady.
Photobucket
Is the game gathering up souls or something? Do we need Madoka to come and rescue everyone?!
Kirito wasn’t able to help with this massive battle because he was holding the freaked out Yui. She started pointing to the sky and talking about all the people. X__X Are all the people who died stuck in the “ceiling” of the game? That is if they are really dead of course. Yui starts screaming that she isn’t really here and has never been here and generally not made sense. Given the fact that she doesn’t have a name above her head and she randomly appeared in the woods with no armor….yeah. She is probably odd. Better return that #1 Mom shirt Asuna. I don’t think this kid is sticking around.

The years worth of saved up 'passion' makes a glopping noise as it flows endlessly into Asuna. LOL.

I almost fall asleep through this episode, seriously. What's the point of showing the daily lives of a newly wed teenagers? This is a cartoon, not a soap opera, damn it. Can't help but kept checking the time on my Media Player Classic.

I find the concept of having a child in this episode ironic since this anime was made in Japan; Japan has a very low birth rate. So low that the Japanese government was willing to provide financial assistance to couples who were willing to settle down and raise a child, which there aren't many. Was this episode meant to send a message to encourage otakus to raise a family? A bit saddening for Japan.

I would love to see a realistic consequence (deconstruction) of this quick marriage between Gary Stu and girl. What happens if they finally get out of the game? Would they actually live together in real life? Would their parents approve of such marriage in reality? If they do have a child in real life at that young age, would Gary Stu provide adequate support for his family? He would still need a job even with the government providing him financial assistance (Japan's low birth rate policy). If so, what sort of high paying job would a newly wed teenager get in Japan's stressful and demanding market without a high school diploma or college education? What if they get a divorce? Would Gary Stu and girl be mature enough to raise a child? And there are many other questions as well.

*cough* That won't happen, the virgin Kirito doesn't have the guts to ask his woman for sex in real life. They only do it in online games. Oh noes, another spoiler.

Eternia- Well Kirito should have been a bit more..gentle. Or conservative his first time. Now they are on their honeymoon and are sleeping in separate beds.

I have just decided that being stuck in this game and facing life and death situations all the time has made all the characters insane at some point. That helps explain away Asuna going from serious warrior to....mommy so fast. XD

Anonymous- I feel the anime Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita was a sign of that too. Albeit an insane sign. If humans decline the world will go insane!

Maybe the introduction of the kids will light the fire under the players to hurry up with the game. Gotta think about the children!!!! X__X

Anonymous- I think Asuna and Kirito will get together in real life if Kirito doesn't die protecting Asuna (which Kline will come around with his magical rock anyway and save Kirito). I think there SHOULD be some problems beside the whole adjusting to real life again. They will probably be from different areas and Kirito is younger which is generally a no no.

But as for the kid...I doubt she is a real player. I think she is some sort of complicated NPC designed to mess with the game. Like gather up all the dead souls of players, which may end up being the true purpose of the game. Me thinks Yui isn't going to be a happy family with Kirito and Asuna outside of the game. So Kirito can relax, no McDonald's job for him.
