Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita episode 11

WOOHOO! Super productive Sunday for me! Three posts in one day. Everyone rejoice. Code Red and cookies for everyone! Although I wish I had gotten around to vacuuming the house. Do you think the neighbors would mind me doing it down at 11 pm at night? They are always awake anyway at 2 am threatening to kill each other....In any event yay for getting lots done today. My reward should be actually getting the Not So Scary Mickey's Halloween Party tickets. X____X So anxious having to wait until the day of the event to get the tickets. So cross yo fingers folks.

See? Tons of fun!
Up now is Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita episode 11. Spoilers for Ms. Fairy having fun...in school?

I have a friend?!
Episode Summary: In this episode, not episode 1 of course or episode 11, Ms. Fairy was thinking to herself that an old friend was coming to visit. She describes her memories of that of being a child and that of being a student. Which category will this friend fall into? Flashbacks to the past. Ms. Fairy, nearly 10, is finally enrolled in school. Which looks like it might collapse on someone any minute. Ms. Fairy has never been to school before thus had to be in a class with much younger kids. If she does well she can skip a grade in 6 months. Ms. Fairy then walks to her room to find it locked. A note gives her a hint where the key might be. She makes her way to an old clock where some brat boys are talking about destroying weird animals. Ms. Fairy makes her way upstairs and finds another hint to where the key might be. She decides to go back to her room and sit in front of the door. A robot comes by and gives her a demerit for not being in her room. The robot then takes off the chain and starts mumbling about what kind of robot it is. Ms. Fairy is able to sleep before her first day of classes. She is much older than all the other classmates thus she stands out.

I am going to annoy you in the future too so beware!
One girl, Curly, tries to get Ms. Fairy to eat lunch with them all but Ms. Fairy says she rather be alone and walks away. Later Ms. Y also harasses Ms. Fairy, disappointed that she didn’t follow all the clues to the key. Ms. Fairy focuses all her attention on getting good grades so she can skip this nonsense. The Principal of the school finds Ms. Fairy and says he knows her Grandfather although they might not be on good terms. He says that while Ms. Fairy is studying hard she is failing to make friends. Ms. Fairy continues to study and makes the highest marks in the class. As a result she is teased more and runs off to spend time alone on a hill. There she finds a fairy hiding from the nasty boys. She takes it back to her room where she learns he is lonely too. She gives him sugar to eat after he decides sammiches are too white and blocky. The fairy thinks he is going to disappear soon so Ms. Fairy decides that she is going to make him sweets so he can stay. After receiving more high marks Ms. Fairy is allowed to skip a grade early. Curly comes by Ms. Fairy’s room to congratulate her and to say she wishes that things had worked out with the rest of the class. Ms. Fairy then says that Curly is really the Queen Bully, telling everyone to pick on her while pretending to be her friend. Curly starts to cry but Ms. Fairy decides that being alone is better. She later accuses of Curly of making the brats run into her, spilling her food on the ground.
Photobucket
Is this an important clue in this episode too?!
Later Ms. Fairy has a nightmare and runs through the school, crying that all she wants is a friend. She is afraid of being picked on and that is why she pushes people away. The fairy in her pocket says that is an easy wish to grant and poof Ms. Fairy is back near her room with the malfunctioning robot. When Ms. Fairy arrives at her correct grade she is shocked to see Curly has also been promoted. Curly is treated badly and someone ends up stealing her skirt. Ms. Fairy gives it back to Curly and Curly decides that means they are best friends forever. Ms. Fairy tries a different tactic to getting rid of Curly but that only makes the girl act more insane. Ms. Fairy resolves that she doesn’t need any friends. So when she makes her way back to her room she is shocked to see Curly moved in. Curly forged her signature and now they are roommates forever. Curly questions where there are cakes everywhere and Ms. Fairy is defensive without remembering why. Curly then asks Ms. Fairy to join her tea society and even though Ms. Fairy says no…she ends up there anyway. THE END!

Broken robot= very suspicious.
@__@ Did I cover everything in my long summary? I swear I am not very good at condensing my thoughts. And yes I feel as if I am leaving some details out. Silly, silly me.
Photobucket
You will never get a name!
So….why did Ms. Fairy not start school on time? It appears that her Grandfather has a good….well at least a job. Where are the parents? Did something happen at home that made her start school late? It seems that there aren’t enough students left to justify having schools in each village so kids are sent away. I don’t know…I don’t know what I know. This show has been very hush hush and limited on the details on what life is like now and how it got this way. Like I understand that humanity is declining but all I see are broken buildings and people continuing to use/live around them. Why live like that when you can make the best of your situation? Or at least find a less run down place.
Photobucket
:( Then the kids should look up to you.
In any event because that last paragraph made absolutely no sense Ms. Fairy has started school late. And even though this is the end of humanity it is still Japan. Which means the rules of younger/older relationships still apply. So while classmates are supposed to bond together and stick together no matter what..this cannot be the case. Ms. Fairy is older than them but looks a bit..different than the rest of the students. Maybe they thought they were more refined because they had been in school longer? I am not sure why there was so much bullying when there should have been more ignoring right?
Photobucket
At least I think it's water?
But there were two forms of bullying going on. One Ms. Fairy didn’t care about. Ms. Y was introduced earlier in the season as someone that Ms. Fairy went to school with. Well here is school! And either Ms. Y was bored with her life or she was really hazing her. I am thinking she was testing to see if Ms. Fairy was smart enough to be her friend. So maybe not so much hazing but Ms. Fairy never knew the difference. The other crap was either minor or accidental. I say minor only because there has been some crazy amounts of bullying this anime season and a bit of water on your book (fairy pee?) isn’t really…that horrible.
Photobucket
WTF are these bones for?! I hope this was part of her nightmare and not where the trash is taken out.
But it isn’t up to me decide if this is extreme bullying or not. It is up to Ms. Fairy. Perhaps she was bullied in her home town? She did have a violent nightmare and cried herself into a random pile of bones. Yes very random pile of bones. It is hard to know what was going through Ms. Fairy’s head. Or the heads of the writers. Ms. Fairy didn’t mention being homesick or missing any of her friends. Could it be she has poor people skills and has never made friends? Wow that would be sad. Maybe she truly is afraid of being teased and if she isn’t friends with anyone she really can’t get hurt? If a stranger hurts you it is different than someone who you consider a friend yes?
Photobucket
But I am just a cute little kid!
That all being said (which is my favorite paragraph opener now or something) Ms. Fairy did judge Curly wrong. Maybe Ms. Fairy has been hurt in the past and something similar happened. Someone was nice to her but was really leading the bully party. Or maybe Ms. Fairy is just the most paranoid person in the world. So while Ms. Fairy was on the defensive Curly was almost the victim of bullying herself. She (before the fairy spell) genuinely seemed to want to be friends with Ms. Fairy. Like an older girl student, maybe we had have a younger sister/older sister friendship. And maybe had Ms. Fairy not cast aside Curly early on the other students wouldn’t have been so pissed. Just…so sad for Curly.
Photobucket
Oh so lonely fairy. :(
Only one fairy this week? That must be the luck factor must be really low for Ms. Fairy. But it is weird just to see one of them. Since they are born in weird ways I am not sure how this one ended up here. Lost? The one that “birthed” him originally disappeared? Either way fairies seem to need each other. Not too many mind you or they will bully each other. But it must be hard to build anything or have fun. Oh and less fairies to protect you from evil little kids trying to rip your arms off.
Photobucket
Clutch it and have a reason to live.
It appears that Ms. Fairy has been studying about fairies in school. Not that she has learned much because she didn’t know they liked sweets. Or maybe no one knows that and this is her first discovery. But it was a nice little scene, her bonding with the suicidal/dying fairy and making her friend real friend. And this friendship was repaid later in the form of a happy Curly. XD Only now Ms. Fairy doesn’t remember the fairy. Maybe she was able to make him happy and he reproduced and they are off having fun somewhere. XD
Photobucket
Um you are touching my small child....remove yourself.
Oh yes the crazy Curly. I think I liked her better when she was just sad and wanted a friend. Now she is like whatever you say to me I will take in a positive way! Then I will move into your room and force more friendships on you by making you join a club! I mean…I am sure it will work out but it was a whole lot on someone who took a big step just to give you back a skirt. Calm it down girlfriend.
Photobucket
What does this mean?! It is important!!!
So since last episode and me missing the glaring fact that Assistant 2 was really Grandfather I was like Secret Agent Tenchi this episode. I was over analyzing EVERYTHING! Like what could this mean, this must be important. I WILL NOT MAKE A MISTAKE AGAIN! So what did I come up with? The robot is important. Why does it keep running into Ms. Fairy’s room? Because there is a deep dark secret in it! Now did it run into the wall before or after the fairy arrived? I am thinking the fairy might not matter as the robot was there after the fairy was gone. So that was interesting. Also something else that stuck out to me was the Principal talking about how he knew her Grandfather. Not that many details were said but it sounds like things didn’t end well between the two men. Is something important happening with that situation? Tenchi minds want to know. XD
Photobucket
If Ms. Fairy didn't want one friend surely an entire group of people will be different!!!
So…is that it for this episode? I believe it is. I wrote a lot. Even though I think I am still missing things. Was Ms. Y more important than I realized? Something with the clock tower? Who knows. This show is slowly coming to an end and this has been the easiest episode to understand thus far. X__X That is a bit scary yes?

In Japan, and in most Asian schools, the age you are at that time are expected to be in a certain class/grade. If you did not pass the 1st grad, you need to repeat the same grad again until you pass it.

See, most 1st grade are b/w 6-8 (at max), if you are 9 and still at 1st grade, people's 1st impression of you are that you are too stupid to pass the class the first time and need to do it again, for another whole year. In other word, such character are frowned upon.

As someone who’s been bullied and been in this situation (the new kid in a lower grade) Watashi’s actions were pretty understandable, especially since she’s ten.

Watching this ep was uncomfortable for me as it’s basically a synopsis of what I feared would happen if I was pushed too far.

And if you notice the boys (shown for the 1st time in this ep), were pull apart the poor butterfly to pieces--dissect it--and the pieces were seen as Watashi walks by.

I think you understand why the faerie was running away from the boys who want to "dissect it", literally.

Anonymous- That is hurtful that ms. Fairy was probably judged like that, too stupid to pass a grade. But it seems in this era maybe all kids don't enter the school systems at the same time? Surely there have been other kids who entered late, just based on how this system is set up. Ms. Fairy was expecting problems and while there was some teasing, her treating Curly poorly didn't help her. Maybe the other kids would have opened up. Not all of them mind you but Ms. Fairy had a wall up going in. I am not saying a positive attitude would have solved everything but she did indeed make it worse.

Of course she is 10 and at that age kids are emotional and do stupid things. So maybe she was doing the best that she could and thought this was the best course of action.

The boys were just awful. :( Run little fairy, run!

According to fumi, I think it is like this, the curly girl’s group was talking bad about Watashi while she was offering to invite Watashi. Watashi didn’t want two faced friends, the fairy change it so that curly girl would be attracted to her to the point that she couldn’t think or say anything bad about her.

Also, now I understood why “Watashi” do not really like Y during the earlier episode.

We did get bits of information for Watashi's inner thought. The building layout has been changed and the robot doesn't know. Why is it changed? Because the principal wants to hide something? Is it related to his relationship with grandpa? Did they kill a woman in this dorm who was their lover, and the corpse was hidden somewhere around Watashi's room, such as behind the wall?
hahaha

@Eternia
WoW, deeeeeep......

Anonymous 2- After seeing episode 12 I wonder if Curly would have acted more normal had the fairy not changed her personality. I might be less afraid.

Ms. Y should have been direct with Ms. Fairy and that would have saved them a lot of time and hurt feelings.

Eternia- I want to know what that huge room of BONES was. Like wtf was that part of a dream or something? Very creepy. Yes lets send our kids, the very last kids on Earth, to this scary school.

Maybe the humans should ask the fairies for help with repopulating the Earth. But knowing the fairies they would turn them into headless chickens who love yaoi mangas.
