Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate episode 8

X___X I think I spend way too much time playing Facebook games. Hello my name is Tenchi and I am addicted to completing quests. There is something...fun seeing the little box pop up saying I have completed something and I won a tiny little pixel prize. I am easily impressed folks! Maybe if I focused my energy on completing other things...you know REAL LIFE things...think of all I could accomplish. XD

What could be happening here folks?!

Since I am on a role it is time for more anime! Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate episode 8 to be exact! Spoilers for....everyone having the saddest story ever.

Only because she doesn't believe in boundaries!

Episode Summary: Yuuki and Satsuki are talking very…special like in Satsuki’s room. One would think it is was sexual in nature….so naturally they are playing shogi. Obviously folks get your mind out of the gutter. Yuuki doesn’t seem to be good at the game and Satsuki smiles. Some other girls are still looking for Yuuki so Satsuki gives her advice on what Yuuki can do. Which leads to option three, staying in the room with Satsuki and playing shogi more. Satsuki mentions Yuuki kissing Hazuki again and Yuuki gets uncomfortable. Satsuki talks about her sad family life and how one day Hazuki shut herself off from the family and moved out as soon as possible. Yuuki somehow gets roped into maybe finding out what happened to Hazuki. Satsuki leads Hazuki out of the girls only rooms and decides she is going to find out what will happen if she kissed Yuuki. Hazuki chooses that moment to come around and act the fool. The moment ruined Yuuki makes his way back to the club room where the topic is the pervert who broke into the girl’s side of the school. Yuuki laughs it off but Chisato seems upset. After a bit Nozomi is like we have worked enough we should have fun! Everyone agrees with her and she has made…a machine that will help them in their walk of courage around the school. Chisato ends up with Yuuki but gets upset when some other girls scream and worry Yuuki. She tries putting herself in danger so Yuuki can be worried for her but it doesn’t go so well. Yuuki asks why Chisato has been acting weird lately and she greatly implies she is in love with him. Yuuki is like well I love you too but not in a romantic way. Hazuki and Slave Isara catch up and Chisato walks off upset. Yuuki gets to take a nice dip in the hot springs but finds a nearly drunk Hazuki afterwards. He tries asking about her family life which prompts Hazuki to call Satsuki and challenge her to a shogi duel for Yuuki’s hand and maybe information on why she left the family.

And then shit hit the fan. X___X

As the game goes underway in Satsuki’s room Hazuki tells Yuuki that Satsuki’s mom was the mistress and married their father after her mom died. Hazuki smiles and says it is a good thing that Satsuki was born afterwards because being a mistress child would suck. Hazuki is slapped and Yuuki is X__X. Through her tears Satsuki continues playing the game without a board and Hazuki fires back. Hazuki decides to get a drunk and tell Yuuki a story while Satsuki calms down. Hazuki had gotten an injury as a child and might have needed a blood transfusion. But it turns out her blood type was rare or something and the person she matched was…Satsuki’s mother. With that information and the fact that Hazuki’s mother…didn’t have a uterus….SURPRISE Satsuki and Hazuki share the same mother and Hazuki is mistress’s child. Yeah apparently the dad was a real asshole and brought home the Hazuki baby to make the family happy and screw the wife. Hazuki wonders if her mom hated her but can only remember happy times. Hazuki was told the truth when she was a teenager and suddenly her happy family mentally collapsed. She thought it was about with her stepmother and half sister but the idea that everyone was truly related and kept it from her was too much. If she accepted that everyone was related by blood and they could have a happy family that would mean her mother would mean nothing and how sad would that be? So Hazuki chooses to be upset and bitter. Satsuki starts crying and hugs her older sister. It is a sad moment but maybe a happy one too. Elsewhere on campus Yakumo is told about Yuuki’s adventures in Satsuki’s room. The subordinates seem worried about it but Yakumo doesn’t think that Satsuki will use this against Yuuki and that they should focus their attention on other things. THE END!

Did everyone know that this show was only 13 episodes long? I mean I probably should have known that and I am probably admitting to silly things. XD But I just assumed this show would be longer due to the sheer number of characters/love interests. X___X That and everyone seems to have tons of drama. But I guess we are just going to plow through this show as Yuuki plows through people’s feelings. Or maybe we are going to get a season two and it is safer to anime studios to see how a show does before investing (more) money into a project.

So…I guess it makes sense NOW why the whole Satsuki and Hazuki was solved in one whole episode. It was hinted a few times with the scene on the roof top and the jealously over the kiss. But I thought that we were going to get more…more! Like if there were more episodes there would be more sprinkles of Satsuki and Hazuki having problems. But nope it was like BAM we have problems solve then Yuuki never mind we will solve them yourself we don’t your man help!

Oh snap she wins at everything. Watch out Yuuki!

Satsuki hiding Yuuki was nice. Even if that meant that absolutely no election talk happened and it is still weird that they are close given they are basically rivals. But maybe this show, in its ability to be super serious about the numbers and what not, is also showing the viewers how candidates can get along even if they are competing with each other. X__X Can we have friendly politics in the United States now please?

Satsuki being jealous of her sister and Yuuki…is troubling though. I mean…Hazuki has known Yuuki longer. I am not sure how much longer but longer anyway. So to be upset with Yuuki over this kiss when she wasn’t even in the picture…not understanding what is going on. Really Satsuki should be jealous because Hazuki is the ADULT TEACHER and not her sister but…since that isn’t the issue it is silly. Jealous of someone getting kisses when you weren’t even around. Will my kisses be an accident too?!? XD

Thanks for...spitting in my face?

So after the perverted game of shogi Yuuki is finally able to escape. And before Satsuki can give him a special kiss Hazuki has magically recovered and is able to function enough to ruin whatever Satsuki had planned. Wasn’t Hazuki dead to the world drunk just a few hours ago? I know she has a very good reason to be drunk, I am just asking why she is so magical and high functioning? XD

Me?! A pervert?! NEVER!

Everyone talking about the pervert was…well expected and slightly amusing. I really thought that Yume was going to spill the beans or go YUUKI where were you last night when you left our bed?!?!? No the only ones who know the truth are the ever so useful Michuri and Chisato. Seriously all Michuri has done so far is look like a cat in every frame she is in. Chisato was just being…well a Debbie downer and this behavior continued later in the episode.

Take me to your insanity!

The walk of courage in the halls of the school….was stupid. As was Nozomi’s invention. But most of what she makes is stupid so I guess that is nothing new. Just a silly way to make sure that Chisato and Yuuki ended up alone in the hallway. SO SCARY THE HALLWAYS!

Hot damn Yuuki that was harsh. X___X

So….I thought that Chisato and Yuuki were going to be the main couple. They still can be but DAMN Yuuki was harsh this week wasn’t he? I guess if that is how he truly feels then okay. But don’t dismiss Chisato’s feelings and say oh it is just friendship love I feel. OBVIOUSLY that is not what Chisato feels so don’t act all….boyish! Like oh I am going to pretend this is what you really meant and be innocent in expressing my feelings. It is hard to explain why Yuuki is at fault…but he is. Poor Chisato. I understand it appears that he broke it to her gently but I can read between the lines.

Perhaps we can ignore Hazuki's confession as....it was scary and inappropriate.

The rest of the episode really kicked it into high gear. You thought what was happening to Isara was bad? Well it still is. And never forget that. Probably because there are more Isara’s exiting in the school and Hazuki is just one person. It still doesn’t change the fact that everyone in this anime has a sad little back story and as the weeks they seem to be getting sadder and sadder. :(

X__X Well then....family problems for everyone.

I am glad the bulk of this shogi match was not Yuuki’s hand in marriage even if both girls were pretending that at one point. I can understand that attempt to protect feelings and what not. At first I thought Hazuki was going to be cruel and just walk away. Like a little cliffhanger. Look at me being the bad sister. I am going to give you a reason to hate me and you will back off. But deep inside I just want to be close to you and since that can’t happen I will break your heart instead. Hazuki was pretty harsh though and while violence is never the answer…yep a slap.

So the entire family sucks?!?!?! Run away girls!

The entire back story was horrible. The husband/father in question is a douchebag yet neither girls mentioned it! Yes if you find out someone is married you should back off and cut them out of your life. So being the mistress makes you 25 percent responsible. But who in their right minds gives up their baby to a man who won’t leave their spouse for you? I mean the wife really had no choice. Sounds like she was really sick and dependent on his income. But who really comes home with the mistress’s baby and says HEY raise this kid? Oh he was just trying to protect her from the wrath of his family telling him to marry the mistress and have babies? Well…DON’T HAVE A MISTRESS! See simple?!!

Kidnap Satsuki and run away from this entire rotten family!

So…in conclusion Hazuki has a great reason to drink and Satsuki had a reason to be upset. Both girls are suffering from the actions of their selfish parents. I can see why Satsuki was confused and why Hazuki was distancing herself. I really feel bad for the first wife and how much she must have suffered. Hopefully Hazuki really did brighten her life so something was positive.

Ah yes....so where exactly did they see this all? Does this make them perverts too?!

All this hugging and crying was going on with Yuuki forgotten but things had to get serious…in a different direction. Yakumo’s men are off spying and being sneaky…which I guess is their job and good for them. But dang this election and school politics is so serious. Where is that run over girl again? Oh yes in the midst of a family tragedy got to remember…this school is insane. So see you next week when…things will still be insane. Maybe slightly more…upbeat?
