Drug and Drop chapters 2-6!

Behold! My blog is about anime, manga, and life yet the manga part of it has been suffering lately. What a slacker I have been. Sure I have been blogging Kazumi: Madoka on Crack but I need to do other mangas yes? Also I might want to get on to reading all the mangas I bought at AWA last year before I go this year…

Ah yes. Two hot guys. Now get on top of each other!
So yes! Catching up on anime posts means I can catch up on manga yes? WOOHOO! So up now is Drug and Drop (YAY CLAMP) chapters 2 through 6! Spoilers for Kazahaya and booze!

Can't I just be normal?!
So when we last saw our heroes (well when I last read about our heroes) Kazahaya and Rikuou received a job from Saiga and Watanuki. That must mean they are in extra trouble right? XD They arrive at the house that is supposed to have something inside of it that is similar to the object Watanuki gave Kazahaya. A feel so it were. So Kazahaya decides to touch the object and almost pukes. He doesn’t see much of anything and Rikuou teases Kazahaya while making sure he is okay at the same time. Good thing this manga hasn’t changed after the long hiatus. XD

Surely this will end positively for us!
It is unclear on what Watanuki was trying to do. Either the scanlation was a bit fuzzy or Watanuki really didn’t want the two boys to go into the building. So obviously the boys jump the fence and go into the building anyway. Rikuou is very protective of Kazahaya but he is always leading him to danger. Maybe it is easier to watch him that way, to lead him into the crazy instead of following him into X___Xness. Is it just me or is Kazahaya looking more cat like in the eyes? Anyway the boys find an empty house full of booze bottles and an odd smell. Onward they explore.
Photobucket
Why hello there creepy little kid?
Kazahaya hears a noise and senses a presence upstairs so up they go. Rikuou sorta got the short end of the stick in terms of powers. I can break things by touching them WOOHOO! They get upstairs and find a room full of booze. Rikuou continues to be protective over Kazahaya but that probably won’t last long as they both see a small kid sitting on a bed. Of course his eyes look more cat like than Kazahaya so things can’t be normal yes? Kazahaya touches the kid and he instantly falls on the ground. X___X Won’t that kid ever learn?! So ends chapter 2.

Chapter three ends with Rikuou being pissed at the passed out Kazahaya and the fact that he is unable to move. He glares at the kid for a while and the scene changes to Watanuki hanging out at the shop. Saiga shows up and they begin talking about the boys. Watanuki smiles, saying that Rikuou really is protective and Saiga continues the conversation about how the boys really need each other and watch out for each other. Ah CLAMP, always trying to give us yaoi pairings but never cementing it with stone. Well except with Saiga and Kakei of course. XD
Photobucket
But remember CLAMP doesn't make gay characters. Because an American voice actor said so!
Back at Case de Booze Bottles Rikuou continues to yell at the little boy on the bed. He contemplates throwing booze bottles but Kazahaya is too close. The little boy taunts Rikuou, saying only Kazahaya can figure out who he is. Kazahaya wakes up but is obviously possessed. At least once a chapter Kazahaya has to be put into a pose that is very suggestive, sometimes involving being in a position on Rikuou. This chapter Kazahaya and his unconscious self spills booze on himself and he has to lick it off his arm. Oh and then he hugs Rikuou.
Photobucket
Excuse me! I am drunk and possessed! Cut me some slack!
This goes on for quite a while, Kazahaya mumbling things and grabbing on to Rikuou. All the while he says things like this is not what I want when picking up various containers on the ground. Rikuou gets mad at the boy in the room who won’t answer any questions. Over time Kazahaya starts saying more and more about the vague thing he is mumbling about. People were keeping him here and wouldn’t give him what he wanted.
Photobucket
It's like the captions write themselves....
Chapter 4 starts off with Kazahaya trying to put on a strip show and Rikuou trying to calm down the nearly drunk Kazahaya. The boy thing (now confirmed not to be human SHOCKING!) continues to smirk and be rude to Rikuou. Or short I should say. Also there is more touching of Kazahaya because that is what CLAMP does. Both of these boys have important ladies in their lives but they are probably going to end up being their sisters or something. Well it might not matter if they aren’t sisters as Kazahaya ran away from his lady and Rikuou’s is probably dead. So for now this is our pairing boys, always touching and helping each other out.

Come with me if you want to live.
So after getting in some extra sexy poses Rikuou decides he is going to ask Kazahaya what is going on. Because if he doesn’t hurry and figure it out Kazahaya will die. Whatever it is wants to leave but it has no powers. It wanted something but whoever was keeping it here kept giving it the booze. It is similar to booze but not what it wanted. And what it wanted is inside Rikuou. Rikuou figures out that what the possessed Kazahaya wants is blood. So using his only power to destroy things he cuts his neck to give Rikuou some blood.

Something small that is said but really sticks out to me is the boy thing says that Kazahaya is unable to drink blood. Now most humans would not WANT to drink blood but we can drink it. Like if I cut my finger I would automatically put it in my mouth…or someone else’s mouth if it were an anime. But the boy made it sound like Kazahaya CAN’T drink blood. Maybe I am reading too much into it and it was merely trying to say that blood won’t do anything to Kazahaya like it will to him but I was interested anyway. The boy, after saying this thing I am probably reading way too much into, waits until Kazahaya passes out to reveal he is the one who wanted the blood. Again with the sexy poses but it was better with Kazahaya on Rikuou’s neck. The boy has some blood and tells Rikuou it tastes like grief and guilt, causing Rikuou to think of Tsukiko. The boy says that Rikuou is looking for something but already possess the ability to find it. But if Rikuou is to find what he wants he will have to go into a sea of blood.
Photobucket
Not you, him!
Chapter 5 starts off the same, with the boy saying that Rikuou already has the key or the way to find what he needs. To points to Rikuou but since he is holding Kazahaya it is probably safe to say that it was him who the boy was pointing to and it will take Rikuou a long time to figure that out. I am not sure about you but finding something in a sea of blood is not my idea of a good time. Still that is what Rikuou wants to do.
Photobucket
So Rikuou will be miserable no matter what? Amazing!
Then the boy sprouts black wings and starts to fly in the room. Rikuou of course is protecting Kazahaya as the boy has one last thing to say. That Rikuou has to go into the crimson pool of blood no matter what. But he will be given two paths and no matter what he will lose something. I think the choice will come down to maybe bringing back Tsukiko or saving Kazahaya whom will probably be in danger at the time. Live in the past or save the future. Oh and Kazahaya will probably be in danger from his own special person. Sounds like our boys aren’t going to get a happy ending even if they end up together. Why CLAMP why?! :(
Photobucket
YAY FOR SNUGGLING!!!!
After being told all this wonderful news Rikuou wakes up startled. He immediately searches for Kazahaya but he doesn’t have to search far. He is sleeping right next to Rikuou but doesn’t look very peaceful. Rikuou continues up the protection route when Watanuki and Saiga walk in to see how the two boys are doing. Sorry Watanuki, you had your own man. Maybe you should leave the store and find him!
Photobucket
Well then...stupid humans indeed.
After Rikuou pretends he can threaten people in his condition he agrees to listen to Watanuki’s explanation on what the hell just happened. Watanuki won’t SAY the word but apparently that boy was a vampire. In exchange for blood the boy would answer questions asked of him. Because blood is a precious gift the boy was not able to lie. But some humans decided to slowly start slipping the boy booze instead of blood over time and finally he was too weak to leave the building due to lack of blood. Such a sad little story. Almost makes me feel bad for him.

Chapter 6 starts off with Rikuou questioning if the vampire always told the truth. Rikuou looks super upset asking if that being told him the truth so Watanuki takes that social cue and throws it out the window. It is all smiles as Watanuki talks about how that answer must have been the truth as Rikuou freed the vampire. So bring on the pools of blood?
Photobucket
We drugged you out of love!
Rikuou clearly wants to talk about this subject more but apparently he lost a lot of blood. Or Watanuki put something in his drink to make him pass out. Apparently this was all planned because Saiga and Watanuki were worried that Rikuou would pass out from exhaustion by watching Kazahaya. Watanuki doesn’t mean any harm and hopes both boys get their wishes without being hurt. Because we see how well that worked for Watanuki…
Photobucket
I feel bad for everyone even though I spaz all the time!
Kazahaya wakes up the next day, as apologetic as ever. He slept late but Kakei tries to not give him a hard time. Kazahaya doesn’t remember much of what happened but is upset when he sees that Rikuou got hurt. But before Kazahaya can properly boo hoo over that fact Kakei explains that the store keeper (Watanuki) is like him, waiting for someone. But unlike them Watanuki can’t leave the shop. So Kazahaya just enters a state of sad and probably wonders why he bothered waking up.
Photobucket
We were having a moment! Don't leave me!!!!!
Rikuou attempts to lighten the mood by playing around with Kazahaya and teasing him about his stature. But Saiga walks in and it is all serious business. Saiga pulls Rikuou aside and tells him he has information about who his sister contacted before she disappeared. Well I mean that special person in Rikuou’s life. I can’t be assuming here folks. And thus ends the first arc of Drug and Drop. XD Why did I get so far behind on this series? I will blog it again once I am sure the next few chapters are a little arc in themselves and not part of a bigger one. Until next time folks!

My favorite scene so far is when Watanuki caresses Kazahaya's hair and Rikuou grabs his hand and jerks it away. The gesture was so possessive, and Watanuki gave this little knowing smile that made me both giggle and want to throttle him.

But I'm liking the direction this has been going, even if the cameo of Kazahaya's crazy twin sister irked me. Hopefully CLAMP won't screw this one up.

Anonymous- CLAMP really let me down with XXXholics so I am treading lightly with this manga. But yes that moment was cute and made my little yaoi loving heart squeal.

Can we have just ONE pair of twins in the CLAMP universe that doesn't end in tragedy? Any pairings are escaping my mind at the moment but it seems if you are a twin in CLAMP something horrible will happen to you.
