Pandora Hearts Episode 18

Tada! Here is my Pandora Hearts post. Only like three days later than usual but...TADA?! XD

Photobucket

I do too (even if it doesn't show!)

But I love you Pandora Hearts. You and 07-Ghosts still get blogged regularly. Feel honored that I am not that much of a slacker when it comes to you.

So...this episode really doesn't answer many questions. SHOCKER! It does raise more questions and shows Alice being cute again. Beware the cuteness! You have been warned.

I left my happy reunion for this? :(

Someone in the school is still playing that familiar tune on the piano. Somewhere else in the school someone is dancing around half naked and wanting to play Oz. Oz makes it to the piano room…and there is no piano player. Sad face. Ada enters the room and says she thinks the people who were playing might be some dudes named Eliot and Leo. Ada agrees to help Oz find these two people. Elsewhere on campus Alice and Gilbert are hiding from people since they are suspicious looking. This later leads to Alice joining the barbeque club and Gilbert being attacked by fangirls. Ada tells Oz to wait in the library…and he doesn’t. Or he does but he doesn't stay put. He walks around and finds one of his favorite series from his childhood (or yesterday). He is eager to read them but notices one book is missing. A young boy walks by and gives him the missing book, claiming to like the series too. Oz goes on and on how Edgar, the knight’s servant, is his favorite character and how he wonderful he is. The young youth not only spoils the ending for Oz but bashes the character Edgar for throwing his life away and dying. Insert sad and distraught Oz here.

I challenge you sir!

There is a stare down and some yelling until the nerd kid from the Nightray family speaks up. He is indentified as Leo and the spoiler freak is Eliot. Leo doesn’t take Eliot’s side and tells him to apologize to Oz. Eliot gets mad that his servant Leo won’t side with him. Leo says he is sorry he isn’t an ass kissing servant and maybe Eliot can do better. Eliot decides to blame Oz for all this mess and Leo points out Oz is probably the suspicious person running around the school. Ada appears and tells Eliot not to hurt Oz. Eliot is not pleased to see Ada and gets all pissy with her. Oz decides to get the attention back on him and taunts Eliot into chasing him around the school. Ada catches up to Oz who slightly scared about the situation. Ada tries to make excuses for Eliot and she is all blushy face about the situation. MMMMMM. Ada then points out that Oz could have asked him about the piano playing and that he is made of fail. But before the two can go off and find them Ada is grabbed from behind OH SNAP. Eliot happens up Ada’s kitties clawing on a wall…..

Can't you sense the danger?

Oz and Ada have been kidnapped by the Basketcase people. They claim that they don’t want to throw Oz into the Abyss and promise to play nice. Which is special because the chick of the group decides to poison Ada to make Oz give her answers. She wants to know what happened during that tragedy 100 years ago. Sure they were there and they know they killed some people but they want to talk to Jack because apparently they are fuzzy on the details too. Meanwhile Leo has figured out the kitties are trying to get into the secret passage way in the school MOG! So the girl Basketcase girl slithers around on the floor trying to make Oz bring Jack out. Oz says that he can’t make Jack come out and will die for his sister. That does not amuse said Basketcase girl who calls Oz awful for making people suffer. Before the girl Basketcase person can hurt Ada Eliot appears. He claims to be the rightful heir to the Nightray family and it is his duty to stop the Basketcase people. Oz tells Eliot to get out of here, that it is his fight. Eliot yells at Oz for being self righteous again and fights the Basketcase people. Leo shots the Basketcase girl and they all end up escaping and giving Ada the antidote. Instead of getting out of the tunnels and away from danger Eliot decides to yell at Oz for hurting people by not caring for himself, thus hurting other people. Oz gets offended by this and starts screaming back too. THE END!

Photobucket

Yes yell at me when we are facing danger. Now is the perfect time!

Look Pandora Hearts! I finally got around to blogging about you. I am not complete meanie head who puts you aside for other things…..Err…yeah...

Photobucket

Who cares about bonding?! PIANO NOW!

On with the show. The show that doesn’t have any real Ada and Oz bonding. I was expecting more in terms of I MISSED YOU and I LOVE YOU. But I didn’t get them. Nor do I think I am going to get them at this point. If anything Oz is going to distance himself more from Ada in an effort to protect her and there will be more sadness. :(

Photobucket

Now, your brother is just insane.

In all seriousness I do think that Oz and Ada deserved more of a reunion that what they got. There was more shown of Oz freaking out at the thought of meeting up with his sister than them actually hugging. If I was separated from my baby sister for 10 years (or one minute..) I would have tons of questions and tears and hugs. I would not go MOG I hear a mysterious tune so let’s cut this family reunion short. Oz you are made of fail.

Photobucket

Oz...you test my patience. :(

And did Oz even find out WHY Eliot (or Leo) was playing that tune? No. :( So it makes him ignoring Ada even sadder. And the way the pace is going with this show it might not get touched upon again. Not when we have the Basketcase people chasing down our heroes and Eliot being the real heir which is going to lead to some drama with Gilbert and Eliot.

Photobucket

Who cares about the Abyss and Chains?! I got my book woot!

Even though I am sad I didn’t get my dramatic family reunion and answers about the song we got some funny moments in the library. It was cute seeing Oz being all excited about his favorite book series. Of course it is a little sad as this is just another sign about how long Oz has been gone from reality but he seems to handle the situation well. Far better than when he finds out his favorite character has been squished and the ending is ruined for him. That was a rude Eliot. Ending spoiler. (Snape dies too OH YEAH!) (Yeah I am a jerk).

Photobucket

No, bring back the fun!

But then the fun times stop. And the overall theme of this episode is that Oz needs to stop sacrificing himself and learn his life matters. And that if he dies for someone else that someone else will have survivor's guilt and the situation will still be sucky. RIGHT FAI?! LET KUROGANE SAVE YOU! Err anyway…yeah. There is always the character who says he will die for his friend and there is that other character who tells character one he is a jerk for thinking that way. While I thinking throwing your life away is useless when there are other options I see no reason to bash Oz for wanting to take his sister’s place and allow her to live. You fight like hell so you both can live…but nothing is wrong with being a hero.

Photobucket

You sure told him!

Clearly Eliot has an issue with this subject. Me thinks that someone in his past died for him and he is the one with survivor’s guilt now. He can’t appreciate the sacrifice that person made for him and is belittling his life on Earth now. If that is what is going on I mean. But BOO Eliot attacking a person you just met for trying to protect his sister.

Photobucket

Gasp! The true heir is revealed!

But then Eliot redeems himself with his awesome sword fighting skills and his lackey Leo (Leo who might be cooler you know). He turns out to be the true heir to the Nightray family. Thanks for clearly up why those two kids were randomly in the Nightray house when baby Gilbert shows up there for the first time. I hope that Eliot isn’t all pissy at Gilbert for existing and instead focuses that anger on Vincent instead. This also raises the question why the Nightray family wanted Gilbert anyway as they had a kid who could take over. MMMM questions.

Photobucket

Thanks for that revealing information.

The Basketcase people were slightly less than forthcoming with information today. They realize they took part of the tragedy 100 years ago but don’t seem to know why. They were just following the orders of their leader…who is still alive according to dead Jack. Instead of asking their leader why they went around killing people they want to kidnap Oz and ask dead Jack what happened. Like they weren’t there. X_X Apparently no one but Vincent knows what happens and no one can ask him. Because that makes sense.

Photobucket

Who is Oz? NOM NOM NOM!

Mad props to Alice and Gilbert. You know, the two people who are supposed to protect Oz. You know, the two people who spent this entire episode away from Oz? XD At least Gilbert was trying to get to Oz....

Photobucket

Because going back the way you came is silly.

So we are left with the Basketcase people after Oz and Oz deciding to fight with Eliot instead of running for his life. Those plans often work out well. Eliot is either going to be bff with Oz or learn what it means to be a hero and die protecting Oz. :) And since it is Wednesday I don’t have to wait that long to find out now. YAY FOR ME!

The insert song is at the end where Elliot is scolding Oz.

If you know the song, kindly message me.

Isobel- So sorry for the late response. :(

I do not know what the name of the song is but the Pandora Hearts Original Soundtrack Vol. 1 is out and everyone has said ALL the music from the anime is on the CD. So your best bet would be to buy (or download from the internet XD XD ) the CD and hear the song that way. I hope it works out!
