To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 24: Final Episode!

Photobucket

Guess who saves the day!!!

This is it people. The end of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Okay two days later but still. Everyone it’s time to put on your sad faces.

This series (season) has had a lot of ups and downs for me. There were times when I hated Kuroko and there were times when I wanted to kill Kuroko and Uiharu. There were times when I wished Touma was there to save the day and other times I was glad it was a girl power kinda show.

But now it is over. It will feel weird without some form of this series in my life but maybe Index and her crew will have a season two in the near future. For now here are my thoughts on the last episode and the entity that is To Aru Kagaku no Railgun.

Edit: So yeah. This post was suppose to go up on Monday but right when I was making the screenies BAM the cable goes out. I am not sure how long since I went to bed but yeah. Comcast set me back another day so I am not as lazy at it appears. I’m sorry Misaka!!!!

Episode Summary: Everyone lives and Misaka ultimately saves the day. THE END!

Photobucket

Someone has a really bad case of the uglies.

Real Episode Summary: Everyone who had a slightly helpful power in the series works together to save the day. Also Saten beats a computer to death. Telestina becomes more and more insane but Misaka powers up and saves the day. Harumi uses the controversial First Sample to wake up all her unconscious children (instead of its intended purpose of making a Level 6) and everyone is crying tears of joy. During the credits everyone who had a speaking part during the series looks up at the sky as Harumi’s kids wish her a happy birthday. THE END!

Yes the summary is a bit brief and not detail oriented. It’s kinda how this episode was. And how it should be. We have been watching this series for 23 weeks now. We know how things end and how no one ever dies and that no matter what Misaka will save the day. So while this episode played out exactly how most of us thought it would it was still fun to watch. XD

Photobucket

Why do we hate each other again?

Okay maybe I was a bit surprised that Kongo showed up to help fight. I really shouldn’t have though. Despite the fact that the rivalry between her and Kuroko was never really explained it was there and is there a better way to end a series than having them help each other buy the real hero extra time to save the day. Also Kongo’s power is about 786774654 times better than Uiharu’s. Of course my power is better than Uiharu’s…..

Photobucket

She flies through the air with the greatest of ease!

I thought Konori was going to be more helpful what with her dramatic coating putting on last week but she did her job. I like how she was willing to sacrifice herself to throw Misaka to safety. She was never meant to be the star so she served her purpose as a great supporting character well.

Anti-Skill was a bit low key in this series. In To Aru Majutsu no Index they had their stuff together whereas in no Railgun they were almost like the bumbling fools. Get permission to stop a crazy person from making road pancakes of the City’s Level 5? Yeah how about no. Next time pick up the helpfulness.

Photobucket

Silly little freak.

Telestina earns not sympathy points with me. Aw your grandfather used you as a guinea pig in his efforts to make a Level 6? That sucks. Go and kill him. Or use his brain as a birthing ground for a Level 6. Don’t use kids that were just as innocent as you in your crazy experiments. Also what is your power again? If you were that amazing that you were the gateway to Level 6 one would think there would be something special about you. But all you do is fight in a mecha and cackle that evil smile….

Photobucket

Who needs to be Queen of a city? Let's blow it up instead!!!

I never understand enemies like Telestina. The purpose of making a Level 6 was to make Academy City nothing? Even if the unconscious kids didn’t destroy the entire city in the process Telestina didn’t give a flying cupcake about it. I would have more respect for Telestina if she wanted to make the first Level 6 and be the ultimate ruler of Academy City but she wanted to create a Level 6 just to create one. Makes no sense to me. If you are going to cackle evil and have a hideous smile please have a good reason for being a bad guy.

Photobucket

Yay for research!!!

Although Telestina does get points for her Ultimate Weapon and Ultimate Weapon Backup. Most bad guys just pull out their big and shiny weapons and hope the audience will be impressed with the size and not wonder why the baddie waited until the very last minute to use this piece of danger. But with Telestina it makes sense. She has been using Misaka and studying her power to create a weapon to beat/match Misaka. That makes sense my friends. That is how you take out the hero! Of course it didn’t work but she gets points for trying okay!!!

Kuroko didn’t do anything to annoy me this episode. She did her job, didn’t cry like a little wimp like someone I know, and basically was Misaka’s right hand man during this last fight. That is her place and she knows it well. I hate to admit it but the two work well together even though they have only know each other for a short amount of time.

Photobucket

Thanks for the news flash Uiharu.

Uiharu did nothing. The end.

Photobucket

Saten wins at everything!!!

YAY SATEN! I knew there was a reason why you didn’t have a power. Everyone needs a Xander on their team and you play the role well. The overall good cheer with potential to save the day. Only you could have stopped Telestina and you did! I probably would have died if I had to run up all those stairs so you are a winner in my eyes already. I am just glad Saten didn’t dwell on the reason why she was useful. I still want her to have a power.

Photobucket

Nope, no tears for you!

Telestina gets no redemption in the end but at least she gets to live. I am not sure why she picked Haruue to become the Level 6. Yes her powers could increase randomly at times but wouldn’t it be a safer bet to pick a Level 5? I guess we needed more story with Haruue though.

Photobucket

How can you be mad at this face?!

I thought Harumi was very…giving with Misaka. Had Misaka snarked on me and lost my kids there would be heads rolling. But then again Harumi is smart and knows her best way to save her kids is to use Misaka so…you know. Kudos for trying to fight Telestina when she was in a crazy mecha though?

Photobucket

I'm sure this makes sense....

I am not sure why the First Sample was able to wake up the kids. It just is that magical and we are suppose to role with it okay! It had the power to create the ultimate esper or wake up a bunch of kids. Clearly the choice was easy. It would have been better if there were no negative consequences to the first option (say the Level 6 would be able to save the world or something) so Harumi using the First Sample would be a little bit bitter sweet but the better moral choice. But it wasn’t so meh.

Photobucket

Teacher...?

YAY KIDS! I thought they would look older but I am not good at guessing anime characters ages so meh again. Harumi is happy, the kids are happy, and we got to hear the opening theme songs as Misaka battles the bad guys. Also head band kid is pretty cute.

Photobucket

Everyone wakes up and lives happily ever after!

The series ends with all the minor characters (including Index and Touma) looking up at the sky as Harumi’s kids wish her a happy birthday on a blimp. Everyone is happy and smiles as Misaka resigns her life to living with crazy people. No one dies and the promise of future bad guys and milkshakes fill the air.

Photobucket

We weren't that important were we?

Overall the storyline was pretty decent. I am not sure what I like better though, Index with multiple storylines that may lead to one focal baddie (the dude in the floating goo tube) or Railgun with ever action in the series pointing to one problem. Railgun was easier to follow but Index had more danger in the air so to speak. Who knew there were so many evil doers in the world.

Railgun would have been better had they not devoted so much time to all the minor characters and their minor back stories that I really didn’t care about. Especially the head mistress’. Sorry you got dumped but you are not that important to devote a whole episode too. So in that aspect Railgun could have done a lot better.

But Railgun wins at friendships and relationships. Mainly because Touma lost his memories in Index so it was harder for him to connect to people. I think though people being close after only a few weeks of knowing each other is a bit silly but that is coming from a girl who watches Reality shows. You know, the things were people become insanely close after a few weeks.

Kuroko started off as my number one annoyance. But now she is tolerable and Uiharu needs to get kicked to the curb. That is truly shocking to me. XO

Misaka started off as the girl who could do no wrong and was this awesomely strong person. Don’t eget me wrong she is still the awesomely strong person. But now we the audience have seen her silly side, her frustrated side, and weak side. In other words we have seen Misaka as a person and not just as a Level 5 person.

Which is the entire purpose of the show. No matter what power level you are or if you have a power (love you Saten) you are still worth something. What matters is how hard you try and if you try to make a positive impact on the world while doing so. Everyone is important. Cue the AWWW moment.

Photobucket

Everyone say goodbye!!!!

It has been a long 24 weeks. There have been some good moments and some not so wonderful moments. But as a whole this series is worth watching and I recommend it to anyone looking for fantasy show that tackles real life issues. Goodbye Misaka and gang, the ride was fun!

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 23

Hello my readers. I have decided to take a break from marathoning Shakugan no Shana (not impressed with the movie) to blog To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Something that I should have done yesterday. But I am a slacker Tenchi. Between waiting for megavideo to stop the mandatory take a break from the computer pauses and wanting more of the craziness that is Shana Misaka and her crew got pushed aside. I am a very bad blogger.

I was also busy not playing the new Pokémon game. :( WHY DID I MAKE THAT PROMISE! I haven’t even looked at the guide book yet. *sigh* But work is work and I kinda like living in a house so you know.

Photobucket

Our show is almost over...? :(

Enjoy my blog post. There shall only be one more about these crazy girls which brings sadness to my heart!

Episode summary:

Photobucket

Everything will be okay. Now that I have said that watch everything fall apart!

Telestina lets Haruue see Banri only to smile like a villain. Uiharu has plans to visit Haruue in the hospital but stops and sees Harumi instead who is having the worse day ever. Uiharu convinces Harumi to give all her research materials to Telestina to save the kids. This proves to be a bad idea as Telestina is a baddie and tosses Harumi around like a rag doll. Oh and Telestina is also the grand daughter to the man who experimented on the kids to begin with. After getting the truth out of crybaby Uiharu Misaka goes to confront Telestina. But Telestina has activated her Capacity Down and makes quick work of Misaka in her Gundam Suit. Kongo saves Misaka and Misaka has a slight pity party. Saten tells everyone to suck it up and the girls get to work trying to figure out what to do next while Harumi is chasing the baddies in car. The end.

Photobucket

Could you be any uglier?

Telestina is a crazy little fire cracker. I know when Harumi lost her mind she got a bit creepy and there was that deal with the dead demon fetus thing but wow. Telestina morphed from professional lead of an organization to the creepy villain who cackles with a huge mouth and crazy eyes. X_X What is going on here, you are ousted as a bad guy and suddenly you are ugly?

Photobucket

I especially like the Alien head shoulder pads.

I like her suit though. I didn’t know I was watching Gundam: The beginning. Or maybe that Telestina’s real name is Samus.

Photobucket

I think I spend too much time on the internet.

But yes Telestina has revealed herself as being the big bad baddie. She was behind the Capacity Down, she is the granddaughter of the person behind the crystallized esper essence whateverness, and oh yeah she just kidnapped the unconscious kids. I don’t think Telestina could get more bad guyish if she tried. Well she could kick a kitten but then I would cry river of tears.

Photobucket

Who chick fight!

I thought Harumi had a little bit more fight in her but if Telestina really was the first test subject during Operation Fail then she might be stronger than the average human. That and Harumi was thinking with her heart and Telestina was thinking with her brain. Next time Harumi will smash Telestina’s in the ground. But this week OWIE! Pulling out her hair?! X_X

Photobucket

My poor Misaka. :(

After round one, Telestina decided that it was time to find a more worthy opponent. And since Misaka is one of the very few Level 5’s in the city that means OH HI battle time. Only not. On any other day Telestina would have been ground into hamburger meat. But not today. Today Telestina and her Capacity Down got the better of poor Misaka. Misaka’s usual plan of attack first and ask questions later usually works but not when other people are cheating.

Photobucket

Why are you hear again?

I think it just makes me sad that Kongo was the one who did the saving. :(

Photobucket

Okay maybe Saten did some blaming too....

Poor Misaka blamed herself for going out on her own to stop Telestina. Why should she though? Misaka is usually the one kicking butt ANYWAY! I mean I guess she should have told Kuroko who can actually help during battle but Uiharu and my lovely Saten? More times than not Misaka can go in and blow the bad guys away. I am sad that she thought she had to apologize for trying to save the day.

Photobucket

Why is Kuroko making more and more sense each week?!

This week was all about kicking people around. Harumi was eating dust, Misaka got her butt kicked, and Uiharu got the sense slapped into her crying face. Does she know she is in Judgment? Apparently Harumi is fine if she is driving a car at the end of the episode trying to save the kids so why are you crying? I am sorry your best friend of two minutes has been kidnapped but you are actually in charge of scary situations. You are supposed to pull yourself together and call for back up. Not cry on the ground and think how unfair this situation is for her. Stop being a cry baby!!!

Photobucket

DOn't worry, Uiharu still wins the fail award.

Also AntiSkill you disappointment. I get that there is red tape and you are just following orders but seriously. Blow stuff up and ask questions later. XD

Photobucket

The breakfast of champions!

But the episode ends on a positive note with everyone forgiving everyone else and drinking milk. We are girls and we can do anything once we work together kinda feel. Kind of a quick way to make up but my Saten needs lines okay!!!

Photobucket

Let's not insult the hero okay?!

I have a feeling that we are in store for a knock out drag down fight next week with probably no Touma. Which is okay since this is all about girl power. Misaka will save the day, Harumi will wake up her kids, and hopefully I never have to hear Kuroko again! Rejoice the masses!!!

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 22

Photobucket

Smile. Tomorrow we will use you in deadly experiments!

XD This blog post will be a lot more positive than my Ookami Kakushi post. Part of that might be I am so over that series but whatever is the reason my posts for Ookami Kakushi are always negative. To Aru Kagaku no Railgun can be hit or miss for me. So this week I am happy to report this is a YAY episode.

But only partial yay since the series is ending soon. It is always disappointing when a series ends right after it starts getting good but that is a good thing I guess. You don’t want the series to end lame.

So spoilers, Uiharu hating, and finger pointing await you!

Photobucket

Please Misaka tell the enemy more information!

Telestina was not revealed to be the baddie yet. Which is sad for me but makes sense because there are two episodes left. She will unleash her plan next week and in the last episode either the drama will be resolved or the episode will be lighthearted and everyone’s situation will be touched upon. So while it is sad that Harumi is getting the bad guy blame it is understandable.

Photobucket

Aren't you edgy?

Uiharu…….needs to shut her mouth. Her still being mad at Kuroko is something I expected but not pleased to see. Her snotty behavior at their work place was helping no one. We get that you are mad that your best friend of 24 hours was treated like a suspect for a grand total of 2 hours but get over it. Kuroko was doing her job, a job you were unable to do. In the real world you would be fired but since you live in the magic cupcake land you can get away with your bad behavior. Just be happy that Kuroko is mature enough (SERIOUSLY?!) to realize that deep down you know you were wrong and are just taking it out on her.

Photobucket

This is me not being impressed.

Also Uiharu….your power. I guess I have been bothering you for a while on what your power is. For some reason I thought it had something to do with the weather. But no. It is almost the lamest power ever. Touma’s nonpower is miles ahead of yours. You are…..a broken microwave. You are my pizza delivery bag. You are those cheap cool/hot bags at Target. And you aren’t even a good bag. I am not sure why Judgment would want someone with such a weak power in their group. You fail. Again.

Photobucket

My part of the plot is over. I was never important. *sniffle*

Haruue, despite being Uiharu’s new best friend forever, barely got any screen time this week. She only existed to explain how she and Banri knew each other. Stuff that people could have put together on their own but I guess seeing cute little kids is fine too. Then we saw her later when Uiharu and her lame powers visited her in the hospital. But I think her time being a special character may be numbered. Of course if Banri does wake up I am sure there will be a dramatic moment between her and Haruue. But Harumi might get that dramatic reunion instead. So Haruue’s time really might be limited. This may or may not be a bad thing.

Kuroko actually behaved herself this episode for the most part. She was doing her job, not rubbing it in Uiharu’s face that she sucks at life, and generally keeping her stupid comments to herself. Yeah she had a perverted dream but I guess she can’t really do anything to change that. Well I guess she can stop being a conscious pervert so she won’t be an unconscious pervert but still. She did well this week. She is still Kuroko but she was manageable this week.

Photobucket

It was all my doing! Each and every time!

Poor Harumi. Always getting blamed and always has a good reason why it’s not her fault. Although I understand why Misaka isn’t trustworthy of her. Again it is a numbers game. I forget the number, either 10 or 11 but either way only less than a dozen kids verses a whole city of people that would be hurt by the powers the kids are releasing. Yes it is sad but I am not Sailor Moon and I don’t think everyone can be saved at times. Sometimes you have to be a sniper in 28 Weeks Later and shoot 1k people to save the entire world. So yes Harumi has a good reason on why she is doing everything but it still comes off as selfish to outsiders.

Perhaps if the city sucked less about hiding things and doing experiments on little kids Harumi could have access to the stuff she needs and the Poltergeist phenomenon wouldn’t be happening. So really Harumi isn’t the one to blame but the management of the city and Kihara Gensei. Especially Kihara Gensei. Harumi is just their scapegoat. :(

Photobucket

You need a good stabbing.

Speaking of Kihara Gensei he sucks so hard. I understand wanting to push your limits as a scientist but why would you create a level 6? Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. And if you are able to create a level 6 it would mean nothing. Hard work is what matters (well and being lucky enough to have a power to begin with) so if you create something it takes away from the accomplishment. Kinda like steroids. Sure you are the fastest now but not really. So he sucks. If he wanted a level 6 so bad he should have experimented on himself or on willing test subjects, not those kids with deadbeat parents.

Photobucket

I think I should be frightened.....

WTF is crystallized esper essence?! X_X

Photobucket

X_X You don't have to lay it on so thick my friend!

While I love Misaka I think she was a little bit harsh with Harumi. But I guess the word I am looking for is honest. While Harumi wants to help out those kids her plans end up being full of fail and expensive disasters. Just because you want to help out doesn’t mean you are the best qualified for the job. Of course Harumi probably is the best qualified for the job, just she can’t use safer methods due to not having the right data. So yes Misaka was horribly honest but she is young and can only see in black and white. I am sure she will understand in the next episode that Telestina is really the bad guy but she won’t apologize. XD That’s what happens when both people are right.

Photobucket

Do I smell an epic showdown?

So this week was excellent. The clip for next week is too short to judge its ability to be excellent but I am sure it will. It has to be! XO The question will be whether or not the main plot gets wrapped up next week or will the final episode be the climax? Either way it has to be excellent because it is plot driven. Hopefully there isn’t much Uiharu crying in the streets. She can stand in the corner reheating Mac and cheese or something.

Photobucket

Collapsing a whole city and endangering the lives of thousands or saving 10 kids....decisions decisions...

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 21

Boo at this post being so late. I complained so much about those fillery episodes and I was able to post them in a timely manner. :( Quick let me think of a way that this is not my fault!!

Photobucket

Did Tenchi forget about us?!

But here is my post, lateness and all. XD On a sad note this series is going to end in 3 episodes. Which makes the numerous episodes about small part characters even more frustrating that time was wasted on non important plot related stuff. That sentence was special. X_X In any event I shall miss this series despite the RARWness I felt at times.

We have three episodes before we have to think about all that sadness. Let’s finally talk about episode 21 and how Uiharu is trying to compete with Kuroko for the most annoying character in To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Spoilers and extreme wtfness will follow.

Let’s start off with a phrase we all know and love: I was wrong. I feel as if I have said those words a lot on this blog. And instead of feeling stupid I shall laugh at myself. How many times can one person be wrong? Really it is like a sport for me at this point.

Photobucket

The source of my never ending wrongness.

So what was I wrong about this time? Well I was under the impression that Haruue was the kid that Harumi was all boohooing and sad about. The kid that got most of her brains splattered out during the experiment gone wrong. The identical necklaces threw me off. That and I thought it would be ironic if Harumi was fighting so hard to bring those kids back when all along Telestina was using them in a different experiment. Cruel but possible.

Photobucket

Yes! THAT KID!!!

None of this matters as Haruue is not that kid. She is friends with said kid (named Banri btw, I hope Harumi didn’t mention it before or I will feel stupid) and she is looking for her. Which might explain why Haruue can’t find her friend as she is in a coma somewhere. Or maybe she is being used by Telestina (a more likely scenario) and thus Telestina won’t let her be found. Apparently Banri likes to hand out friendship necklaces as Haruue and Harumi both have them.

I guess I really can’t blame myself for being confused. I can go the whole all characters in a certain series look alike to a certain extent route. But I think I will focus more on how Harumi was acting all sad when Haruue was having her attacks way. It makes sense that I was confused and wrong. Again.

Photobucket

Right Uiharu. It is crazy talk to suspect Haruue.

In light of my wrongness I will tread lightly in speculating what will happen next. Haruue is a level 2 telepathic who can’t possibly be behind the Poltergeist phenomenon. But Haruue has shown in the past and in this episode that she is capable of a much higher power level. So is Haruue’s power categorized wrong (which has also happened before) or is Banri feeding power to her? Are these Banri’s powers reaching out for help or Banri’s powers being used by Telestina?

See if I frame this all in question form I can’t be wrong when they don’t happen. XD Yay logic. It’s much easier to focus on these questions instead of trying to map out what AIM fields and RSPK have to do with Telestina. If I try to think about the “science” part of this show too hard what little understanding I do have of those concepts might melt away in my brain.

Photobucket

I'm doing a great job of hiding my agenda right? Right?

But I do think Telestina fails Bad Guy 101. If she is a bad guy of course and not some poor misunderstood soul like every other bad guy in this specific universe. In any event yeah…that was some fail. Let’s gather up all the girls who seem to run around and ruin master plans and tell them more than they need to know. Didn’t she learn anything from Harumi? But I do approve of her collecting cute things. Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you stop losing interest in certain things.

Photobucket

Ms. Level Two needs to learn her place.

Uiharu was a brat this week. She met Haruue like two minutes ago and already she is against Kuroko making sure their city doesn’t get leveled because of this new girl? Loser. But given the nature of this show, that these girls have barely known each other and were super close after the first episode, I guess that is to be expected. But it is still annoying. I think it is Kuroko’s job (oh yours too Uiharu!!!) to investigate weird things. And if Haruue started acting weird the moment something X_X happened the two might be connected. Now if you aren’t adult enough to separate friendship and serious real life work get out of Judgment. Even though I don’t think you ever belonged there anyway.

Photobucket

No apologizes! Just get your work done.

Is it a miracle that Kuroko was being serious and actually getting work done? Should I start carrying an umbrella in case the sky starts to fall? But don’t give in to Uiharu’s little tantrum. Don’t say sorry to her wrong self and keep on doing what you think needs to be done.

Photobucket

Everyone love Misaka right now!!!

Misaka. SHINE MORE!!!! I know you are going to kick butt in the final episode but don’t get pushed aside!

Saten….I need to see more of you period. :( I forgive you for being Uiharu’s friend for some reason but I’m not sure why. But I love you.

So that is about it. There wasn’t too much going on in this episode. Haruue had another meltdown which leads Misaka and Kuroko investigating her past. Uiharu becomes closer to Haruue and continues to whine about how she used to be a loser too or something. And Telestina puts herself into bad guy position. But I guess the biggest drama of all was finding out that Haruue is only the friend of the girl who went splat, not the splattee.

I still hate the term Child Error by the way! Don't overdo it with that phrase next week okay?

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Episode 20

It’s Sunday already? I spent all last week either sleeping or delivering pizzas so the week just flew on by! Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Probably good because I like to sleep.

So today was spent….sleeping and watching anime. XD I am a very productive person you see. But I managed to eat some real food! Exciting progress!

Photobucket

No one can resist cute Saten!!!

Also the cherry on this lazy Sunday was To Aru Kagaku Railgun was GOOD today. I have been complaining about filler episodes and how each minor character known to the series/mankind got an episode dedicated to their…specialness. But now there seems to be plot! Come and enjoy the plot with me!

Episode Overview: Kongo is in her room studying when an earthquake appears to hit the area. But when several objects move in her room it seems that this earthquake was not really an earthquake. Uiharu is asked by her teacher to help a new transfer student out and to be her roommate. Uiharu says yes so some interesting plot stuff can happen to her too. Uiharu introduces her new roommate Haruue to her friends and they all move Haruue’s junk inside the small room. Kuroko and Uiharu have to go to a Judgment/AntiSkill meeting so Saten and Misaka show Haruue around town. Then there is an overlap of Saten talking about a rumor of a supernatural force attacking the town in the form of an earthquake and what is really going on during the meeting. Telestina (suspicious person seen many episodes ago and probably the one who helped out Big Spider) steps up and explains that RSPK syndrome is what is causing the earthquakes. Basically the espers going berserk with their powers again. Shocking.

Photobucket

MOG FLASHBACKS!!! X_X No bug catching!

Uiharu is eager to spend time with her new friend while Konori is suspicious of how AntiSkill is handling the situation. The junior high girls take Haruue to the arcade where she can showcase how special she is and how she's never done anything ever. Uiharu spends a lot of time not being able to put on a yukata and talking about how she is helping Haruue because she used to suck at life too. The girls then go watch fireworks and take part in a festival and it is all Endless Eight again. Konori is finding sneaky stuff on the internet and Haruue starts clutching her necklace and wondering where SHE is. She runs off and Uiharu chases after her. There is an earthquake and Telestina in a weird space suit saves her. Haruue is all sad, Harumi is seen clutching the same necklace, and Telestina smirks evily. The end.

Photobucket

I was thinking this was Haruue's power. It was disappointing to learn it was a normal suit. :(

Look at all that beautiful plot! Isn’t it magical!

Photobucket

Winning is overrated anyway. X_X

So let’s talk about Haruue. We saw her before during one of the boring fillery side character stories. I believe the one with the AntiSkill Tsuduri being useless. I think Haruue lost her necklace in that episode and Tsuduri wasn’t able to find it because she sucks. Overall Haruue reminds me of another character that might have gotten on my nerves. Her name might have been Hyoka XD Haruue a bit loopy and doesn’t seem to know what is going in the real world. Think of the poor whack a moles. She did overdo it with the grabbing the necklace bit though.

Photobucket

It's not obvious at all....

So now let’s talk about who Haruue really is. When we first saw her briefly in that past episode I thought her weird hairstyle hinted at her being Jufuku’s sister. But with her continuous “wow I have never done this” raised a red flag. Almost like she is an alien visiting Earth for the first time. OOOOOOOOR if Harumi is holding your matching necklace oh so tight….someone who has been in a coma for a really long time.

So Haruue is one of Harumi’s kids that got tested on and went splat. Probably the main one. Not much of a secret there. XD

Photobucket

Okay we get it! You sucked. Life moves on.

I could have done without Uiharu’s over the top….craziness. Wasn’t she tired from going crazy last episode? I think she was stretching her issue at sucking in Judgment to being the new transfer kid. But meh people often try to find ways to connect with people when their stories really aren’t that similar. But of course I find the entire concept of being close to a person after knowing them for 5 hours pretty weird anyway.

Photobucket

I think I understand this better than the AIM stuff. But still being an esper sounds so dangerous....

Confusing terms are once again confusing! But now they are bringing back the AIM fields to explain the RSPK syndrome. Basically (in Tenchi terms) it means that one esper can’t control their power very well and sorta releases a bit of power unconsciously. This happens naturally and all the time like the AIM field. But what is happening now is when multiple esper users have a RSPK attack at the same it creates these earthquakes. Now…to me this sounds like a serious issue and would make me want to keep esper users separated if accidents like this can happen. But no let’s gather up all the esper users in one spot so this occurrence can happen more often yay!

Right....rumor control...

I love how AntiSkill and Judgment want to limit the rumors on these earthquakes. A day late and a dollar short like always. But I am not sure what Konori thought was so weird about how the team was handling the situation. Considering she is just Judgment and she didn’t hear how AntiSkill was handling the matter her burning the midnight oil made no sense to me. GRANTED SHE IS RIGHT….still it made no sense to me.

That is not a big hint at all!!! Never....

Telestina came off a little strong. But since she has been shown in other episodes acting a little shady it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she is the bad guy. I guess somewhere in that mess Konori caught on to something. But since everyone missed Telestina’s evil smile in the space suit (WTF was that space suit) no one is going to suspect her of wrong doing in the next episode. The real mystery is why she is making the espers have RSPK syndrome. I doubt her reasoning is as awesome as Harumi’s.

Roger that, next week will be just as amazing!

I like this episode and where the plot is going. Please keep this pace up for next week (although I think at this point they have to!). Except with 50 percent less Uiharu maybe?
