Tamako Market episode 12 FINAL EPISODE!

Another show has come to an end. And not a moment too soon as HELLO Spring shows are starting in a hot minute. I can say though that I am ahead of the game on something in life. I am not one of those people who buy Christmas presents at Christmas Eve. Heck most of my shopping is done before December. XD And....um...what else am I on time about....um....let me think about it. XD
 photo tamakomarketepisode1212_zpseb0576fe.jpg
Sounds....really tasty actually.
But anyway Tamako Market, the little show about...I am not sure yet, has ended. Maybe. It was left a bit open ended so maybe there will be a season two later down the line. But for now it is over. Spoilers for everyone loving Tamako forever. But we already knew that yes?

Did the medal run away? X___X
Episode Summary: Tamako is so happy that the Prince has found her medal just randomly on the ground. Dera goes to greet his Prince but the Prince has no idea who he is because the bird is so fat. HEARTBROKEN! As the questionable racist bodyguards protect the Prince from nosy shop sellers. Tamako's family hosts the Prince and Tamako is unsure on how to act. Tamako and Anko walk to school with Mochizou running to catch up. He obviously has lost sleep over the Prince coming to town and tries to ask Tamako what she is planning on doing. She is unable to answer/understand the question so Mochizou wishes her happiness. Her friends at school acknowledge that weird things keep happening to her and hope that things work out. Tamako seems frustrated and lost in thought. Dad is at the shop making mochi and looking upset. Dera comes in to see how Dad is doing and to tell him the district has kidnapped the Prince and are busy handing out free samples of everything. Choi seems worried that this is all overwhelming to the Prince. Tamako continues to be lost in thought at school and her friends worry for her. Kanna decides she needs to take one for the team and become Tamako for Tamako. They reach the shopping district and all the shops are closed. Tamako freaks out and runs home to make sure everyone is okay. Tamako is told that everyone is meeting with the Prince at the Bunny Bath. Tamako almost breaks down in tears because last time everything was closed her mom had died.
 photo tamakomarketepisode128_zps780217d1.jpg
Kanna really wants to see those support beams!
After calming Tamako down Dera finally asks the girl what she thinks about all this Prince business. Tamako talks about what her home means to her, how she has been there her whole life and how everyone person means something special to her. Dera hears all of this and does a dramatic run to the bath house. He gets there and tells the Prince that Tamako is not the girl for him, that she is too special and what not to be a Princess. Tamako runs in after Dera and apologizes but doesn't think she can be the Princess. She accidentally sneezes and Dera takes the hit to show the Prince that Tamako is in love with him, not the Prince. The Prince smiles and says that Tamako was not the Princess anyway, since the flowers the shop lady gave Tamako is the scent Choi smelled. Choi points out she hasn't done the reading yet but the Prince says it is not necessary, he knows it is not Tamako. Mochizou and Midori collapse in relief. The Prince and Choi look at the busy shopping district and comment on how fun it looks. They get ready to go back to their homeland, with the girls giving Choi little gifts. Tamako tries to give Choi her medal but Choi gives her a paper crane instead. Dera was supposed to go with the Prince and Choi but decides to stay behind to help with New Year's Eve. It is a busy time and everyone is being amazing workers and sellers. Dera decides to leave that night and tells Dad to say goodbye for him. Tamako thinks that Dera might be leaving and goes to chase after him but follows the wrong bird. Dera ends up in the flower shop and takes a nap in the flowers that smell like the Prince. Mochizou stops on by to gather up Tamako's present for her birthday and the shop keeper accidentally wraps up Dera. So when Mochizou finally gathers up the courage to give his present Tamako gets Dera too. Tamako is so happy and everyone starts chattering on about silly things. THE END!

Do you boys need free food?!
A slice of life anime with a talking bird and girl with a heart of gold. A fun little ride is over but I guess I have this one episode left to blog. But thinking back this show didn't...have much. Like rice I guess. You know you are eating good and that you are sorta full but when you look back on your lunch you wonder what you ate. I am not sure how to classify this show. Obviously not a waste of time but it....it just was. If you feel me.
 photo tamakomarketepisode123_zps518b7a92.jpg
Dera needs a hug but sadly the Prince doesn't know who he is or he would give Dera one!
It is never explained how the Prince found the medal. Given how Tamako loved that thing I am not sure how it ended up outside. I mean...she was going to put it on Mom's shrine. But none of that really matters. The point was the Prince helped Tamako and Dera is fat. So fat his childhood friend did not recognize Dera and it was sadness all over the place. Poor Dera. Fad diets do not work folks!
 photo tamakomarketepisode129_zps900c0127.jpg
A prince is in town? Gotta run home because I really don't care. I know what is important to me.
It was kinda...amusing how little time Tamako got to spend with the Prince. It is like no one can help themselves. I do like how Dad reacted. Sometimes he can be a sour puss but in this situation I totally support his face. Maybe not about the name thing but about this guy coming to town to try and take his little girl away. Like who are you and why are all you people in my house? I will...sit silently and glare at everyone.
 photo tamakomarketepisode127_zpsf57fe012.jpg
You people are a bit much.
The rest of the shop owners acted like the crazy people that they are. I don't think many of them get out much. They are much too busy spoiling Tamako and worrying about each other's problems. It is like a new person shows up and they have no idea how to act like normal human beings. They are just on people and it looks like it could be overwhelming. But.....the Prince is a Prince. Maybe he is used to all this attention and craziness?
 photo tamakomarketepisode125_zpsdcf14ea6.jpg
You looking tore up!
I love how Mochizou was having sleepless nights and losing his mind. Sure I teased him for not being...assertive but I guess not everyone can be. Especially with someone so dense. Sometimes it is easier for people to dream and not try than try and no longer be friends. Mochizou wants to stick around in Tamako's life...even though I don't think Tamako would cut him out. Still...it is amusing and sad to see this poor kid being rung through the ringer.
 photo tamakomarketepisode126_zps62c04f97.jpg
Kanna likes keeping it real. XD
The other girls are handling the situation just as special. I like Kanna's approach to the Princess business. Like oh poor Tamako I will take the burden for you...HAHAHA! The girl has a lot of comical moments but sometimes I think they are lost in the scuffle. A shame really. Shiori is just there and it is a shame. Choi came to town and it was like what new friend? I got a NEW new friend. And Midori has lost her mind because she is in love with Tamako and she can't run off and be a Princess somewhere else!
 photo tamakomarketepisode1210_zps71c18392.jpg
:( Well that was sad.
I felt really bad for Tamako when she went home and thought something awful happened. I was going to say something else on the matter but sometimes people have irrational moments and Tamako had hers. Like sometimes my husband is a little late coming home from work and he doesn't answer his phone right away and suddenly he must be dead in a ditch somewhere. Obviously the more logical answer is my husband is stuck in traffic but at the moment I don't think like that. So Tamako should have stepped back and thought a Prince is in town and this street is full of nosy people. Clearly that means they are stuffing him with food and no one died.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1211_zps818d07dd.jpg
Dera has been touched!
After Tamako had her moment (which everyone was sweet about) Dera finally looked at Tamako and asked her what SHE wanted. Everyone else was caught up in the drama of how cool it could be and how Tamako leaving would affect them but most didn't stop to think about Tamako herself. Dera was on point the entire time with the situation and asked Tamako what she wanted.

Tamako gave a very Tamako answer. She talked about what the district meant to her. That was her way of saying that she really could never leave. That she would stay and marry there and make mochi babies with someone and that baby would be the next kid spoiled. Not that she was ever going to leave but this way Tamako could talk about all the fun times she has had there and really drive home the point of how close everyone actually is. In case that wasn't clear already.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1213_zps37a0e3ce.jpg
She is missing part of her brain...not a good choice for you my Prince.
Dera had Tamako's back. I think he knew what her answer would be and was trying to save her from saying that? Or was worried she was going to be too nice about it? But Dera really went in there and made sure she was protected. Oh you don't want Tamako....she is too....you know...Tamako like. You don't want her. Here sir, let me protect you from her sneeze. Dera might be a little special too but it was nice to see how much he has grown to like Tamako.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1214_zpsc102daf8.jpg
Wait you already knew? Well then...
Clearly the Prince knew what was up the whole time. He was just there for the ride. And maybe take them all back home. I think that he also knows that Choi is probably his chosen bride. Or that he would choose her if he knew that was an option. He knows something anyway. I guess Choi doesn't think she is worthy of the Prince because she is hiding her mark? And he is allowing her to do this song and dance until she comes around? Remember Choi was the one who said go find a bride. The Prince didn't want to get one yet. Either way the Prince was like...yeah Tamako is not my woman time to go.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1216_zps1b5b64af.jpg
The presents of special.
The goodbye of Choi came kinda fast didn't it? I guess she was there for a while and being a Prince he had to get back as soon as possible. I love that all the girls ran by to give gifts, with Kanna's being the best of course. Tamako was the special one. You just got this medal and you are going to give it to Choi. I get you like the girl but come on! That was 10 kinds of special. Still Tamako loves everyone so....it was a tough goodbye.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1217_zps54f32caf.jpg
So much subtleness Choi.
I am not sure why Dera stayed around for a bit longer if he wasn't going to say a proper goodbye. I mean I understand the idea behind not wanting to be sad or see people cry but why stay behind? It is like pulling off a bandaid really slowly! Oh you mean to create more drama? Well then carry on bird with many feelings!
 photo tamakomarketepisode12_zpsb8042019.jpg
Surprise Deraing!
The show ends with Dera taking a nap in the flowers again, just like how he entered Tamako's life. Clearly Mochizou was too blinded by actually giving Tamako a real birthday present to notice the weight of the box and the flower keeper is...well too special to make sure they are not giving away free product. So all that drama that Tamako went through not saying goodbye to Dera...well it didn't matter. AND Mochizou gets to look like the star by giving Tamako the best present ever yay!
 photo tamakomarketepisode1215_zpse64286a7.jpg
We got to keep our girl. All is well in the world.
So that is about it. Choi is probably the Princess. Mochizou is happy. Kanna has no hammer. The street can breath easy as their lovely Tamako is here to stay. Not much happened really and I am sorta sick of the word mochi. Tamako needs to branch out to other things but she seems happy with the life she has so...I guess....that is about it. Simple people having simple fun. With a talking bird. I see indeed.

Tamako Market episode 11

WEEE! Two episodes in a row. I can't reward myself with ice cream because I am already eating some. Not sure how I feel about it. At the biggest McDonald's ever(in Orlando) they have cotton candy ice cream that I want to eat every minute of my life. This ice cream says cotton candy but it doesn't taste exactly the same. Still on the fence about it. But as long as it isn't strawberry ice cream is ice cream yes?
 photo tamakomarketepisode116_zps34088185.jpg
Can I please have a say in my life? Thanks.
Up now is Tamako Market episode 11. Almost done folks! Spoilers for everyone losing their damn minds.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1112_zps2938cf9c.jpg
But picking me as your bride would be silly and make little sense.
Episode Summary: There is a little flashback with the Prince being informed by Choi it is bride time. Dera is being super familiar with the Prince but Choi gets them on task. She sends Dera in the right direction and the Prince wishes him luck. Dera gets tired from all the flying and takes a nap in some flowers. Thus he gets swooped up and sold on the market street. As Dera snuggles with Tamako in the now he wonders...is Tamako really the one? Choi seems to think so even though she hasn't done the test yet. Tamako is like um does anyone care that I have almost all my 100 district cards filled out and I will win my medal soon? No one in her family seems to and they discuss why Choi thinks Tamako is the Princess of maybe. Everyone in the district keeps talking about it and bothering Tamako about what could be. Tamako and Anko try to go to school to avoid the insanity but Mochizou is outside his store dying at the thought that Tamako will leave. Even Shiori, Kanna, and Midori get in on the insane action. Kanna of course talks about insane stuff, Shiori might want to be friends with a princess, and Midori doesn't want anyone marrying her Tamako. Tamako tries to remind people that nothing is set in stone and this is all happening around her...but even Tamako forgets that point. After school she gets the last few punches she needs on her 100th card. While Tamako was at school Dera and Choi were talking more about the princess business. Dera is clearly trying to bring up why he thinks it is NOT Tamako but Choi is having none of that and fixes the communication device on Dera. Choi is all ready to talk to Tamako but Tamako runs in and gets her other 99 cards. She runs to the bunny bath house where her friends are waiting for this important medal ceremony. No one has ever turned in 100 cards before thus Tamako is the most important person ever. Dera points out that she is basically a princess and she should be more excited about that. Tamako said that is too weird and sudden to be excited about but she has earned this card thing.
 photo tamakomarketepisode118_zps2478026a.jpg
Um hello I don't want to marry you. Can anyone hear me?
Choi comes to interrupt this amazing moment to pull Tamako into another store. Other people follow as they are little spiers. Choi sets up Dera as he is a slightly fixed telephone now. The Prince appears and talks to Tamako about how kind she has been to all his people. Tamako is polite but nervous. Before things can get serious Dera breaks again. Mochizou and Tamako's dad is like this is BULL. Tamako tells Choi she doesn't think she is really the princess and apologizes for....being alive as everyone is dramatic anyway. Tamako tries to go about her life as a normal human being but everyone on the street has lost their minds. While Tamako tries to take a nice dinner her father leaves to go to a district meeting which is about Tamako being the princess and leaving them forever. Dad basically has to be talked off a ledge and told....Tamako should be allowed to grow up and find her way in the world. Dad eventually comes home drunk and gives his blessing...or passes out on the floor. Either way. All the characters in the show are seen being over dramatic at the thought of Tamako leaving forever. Mochizou talks to Tamako later that if she leaves and lives with someone else he will be happy as long as she is happy. Tamako gets off the “phone” and has a tantrum because she thinks everyone wants her to leave. Anko gets all cute and wants to sleep with Tamako tonight, as if Tamako is leaving that minute. The next morning horror fills the district as Tamako's medal has gone missing. She literally screams in the street looking for the stupid thing that apparently deserves to go missing because she was proud of it. Mochizou tries to step up but BAM someone hands Tamako her medal. She looks up...and it is the prince with his secret service agents. THE END!
 photo tamakomarketepisode115-1_zpsb818247a.jpg
So many crazies!
I think that this shopping district is actually a scientific experiment. I can accept one or two characters missing part of their minds and being a few fries short of a happy meal. But the entire district? Every single character? I smell the Umbrella Corporation at work. I must say....if this series ended with everyone getting killed by zombies that would be awesome.
 photo tamakomarketepisode119_zpse07cedbe.jpg
....to stay so we have things to talk about.
No one on this shopping street has a life. Like seriously they don't. I am not sure what they did before Tamako and it is scary to think what would happen if she ever left. Of course she isn't leaving; she will probably marry Mochizou and still run to shops across from each other. But.....these people need to get a life. A LIFE! Gossip I understand but this was a whole notha level of insanity. Of course I might just be unfun and mean since I don't even know one neighbor's name......
 photo tamakomarketepisode1113_zpsb06b8b05.jpg
No. Most Disney Princesses aren't duh.
But yes all of this insanity. I love how people were like Tamako was a hidden princess among us the whole time. That is like saying Belle from Beauty and the Beast was always a princess. By marriage folks! By arranged crazy bird picking marriage. I mean...I guess if I knew someone who ended up being a princess later in life that would be cool. I don't know, maybe these people are bored and need something new to entertain themselves with.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1114_zpsec6cd7c7.jpg
Two mules and a bag of rice for Tamako kind of deal?
However everyone was so caught up in this half news they failed to realize Tamako in all of this nonsense. They did realize that Tamako would have to go and that would make them all sad. They had to have a support group/meeting about this news. Like guys we can pull through this, we can live without Tamako. Whatever makes her happy. Ready the going away balloons!
 photo tamakomarketepisode11_zps3062e489.jpg
Um no. Not right. No one cares about your feelings even though they are telling you to be happy.
But no one asked Tamako how she felt. They were all congratulating her and saying how awesome this was. Or how people should be travel agents. But either way they were all saying how happy they were for Tamako without saying HEY TAMAKO how do you feel about this? Did one person say that? No they didn't. They were too busy trying to wipe away their tears and be strong for the hard task of allowing Tamako to go far away to a place she has never heard of and marry a dude she doesn't know.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1110_zps051cdcce.jpg
They do. RARW! Have a huge fit!
For the record Tamako is not down with any of this. That might show how special she is because if I lived with such crazy people maybe I would hop on a boat and find me my own Prince. But since Tamako likes being surrounded by all these people...why would anyone think she be down for leaving? What about the mochi? How would these people make money without her wonderful ideas?! Why would Tamako leave everything she knows to live somewhere with attractive structure beams?!?!
 photo tamakomarketepisode113-1_zpsfb85419f.jpg
So much excitement!
Before I start feeling really bad for Tamako though....she was way more concerned about her 100 little punch cards than being a princess. Which actually makes sense the way she explained it. She actually earned those cards and it was something that she was looking forward to. Having some random title of princess from a girl with no shoes and talking bird is nice....but no sense of accomplishment. No real meaning behind it you know what I am saying?
 photo tamakomarketepisode117_zps52a166a6.jpg
So much dramatics!
That all being said 100 cards? I am unclear on how many punches you needed on each card but I am going to assume it is at least 2o per card. That is a lot of stuff! I mean maybe you get a punch for every purchase but that would be awful if not worse. If you got a punch for each dollar amount that would work out okay but one punch per transaction.....in any event Tamako is the first crazy person to complete this awful task. No wonder this place needs new life in it. Japan people are big on this time of promotions! This one is not worth it at all. Cute medal but I am going to go down the road and buy two Lawson products to score a K-On! fan thanks.
 photo tamakomarketepisode114-1_zps0c6c3880.jpg
Just his brain melting into millions of drops of tears that's all.
I think that Mochizou has really shown some self restraint in this show. He is so in love with this girl and she is more in love with rice than anyone else. If I were him I would be punching the Dera screens. Like um no you are not coming in and taking my girl. Do you know how much work I have put into this relationship?! I will come to your island with nice support beams and kick your ass. But no...Mochizou is like be happy Tamako. Maybe if he tried harder and said what he thought he would actually get the girl?
 photo tamakomarketepisode112-1_zpsdd1af97b.jpg
Can we hear this proof please?
The only one making sense in this episode was the talking bird. Like Choi you smell a few flowers and see a mole and think it is princess time? Dera seems to be pretty close with the Prince whereas Choi kept a respective distance. That and she was trying to protect herself from the obvious heartache that was coming her way. But Dera is like um is this really happening? Why is everyone okay with it? Clearly Choi is going to end up with the Prince and I am sure Dera will take credit for that later. XD
 photo tamakomarketepisode1111_zps8fb43cdd.jpg
Well.....that was dramatic. Unless he stole it to give it to Tamako to win her heart!
The episode ends with the Prince finding Tamako's medal. Oh the thing that she loves and just got? Yeah she lost it somehow outside. But since the Prince and his secret agent people got to Japan in 5 seconds I guess there are other things to worry about this show. Like how they are going to change the Prince's name to MochiYummy duh!

Tamako Market episode 10

Three episodes today weeee! Surely I will be caught up soon. XD Maybe blogging 6.5 shows in a season was a bit much. I say .5 because I got so behind on one show it will have to be caught up on...after everything else is done. XD The sweet week between seasons. XO But this season is almost done. Where does the time fly? Why soon it will be Christmas ornament shopping in July time!
 photo tamakomarketepisode1012_zps06157b61.jpg
POOR DERA! The truth...so ugly.
The last post for the night will be Tamako Market episode 10. Spoilers for Dera dancing the dance of his people.
 photo tamakomarketepisode105_zpsbd6f16cd.jpg
So shocked Tamako suggested this.
Episode Summary: Tamako and her baton club are ready for the school festival that is coming up. Midori is nervous going up and picking a time slot. She ends up getting the “dream” spot as Mochizou's club gets a super early time. As the president of the club Midori takes control of the planning. There are two younger twin members and the random teacher in charge of the club shows up too. Kanna keeps saying something about fire batons and Tamako has dreams of mochi. Midori says that she is in charge and will think of the music and choreography. Everyone else promises to be helpful in other ways. But when Midori arrives home not one helpful though comes to her head. She has tons of books on the matter but can't for the life of her plan a choreography. Back in the market Tamako and Mochizou talk over their cup on a string. Mochizou is trying to get over a cold so he can film the last scene to their ninja movie and Tamako says that Midori is busy planning the best routine ever. The next day Midori pretty much lies about having the routine done. Everyone had come up with costume ideas but they end up going with Midori's as she did that instead of focusing on the routine. Everyone cheers at the accomplishment. Tamako talks about the festival and it gets Choi excited. It turns out that Choi is a boss when it comes to sewing. It helps her to calm and see her visions better. Yay for helping.
 photo tamakomarketepisode104_zpsee4dd71d.jpg
Who the hell are you?!
At her home Midori is slowing losing her mind. She has no idea what to do and it slowly starts to affect her health. All the other characters in the show start to notice that Midori is looking ill, talking to herself, and starting to not make sense. Eventually she works herself up into a fever and has to stay home from school. Shiori who poops has told Tamako about Midori talking to herself and they along with Kanna go over to see Midori. Midori tries to hid her mess but she is found out. She confesses she has no idea what to do for the festival and starts crying without realizing it. All the girls and Dera are shocked and help calm her down and dry her tears. Dera is like dude I know how to dance, let me show you the dance of my people. Everyone finds this dance stupid which cheers up the mood in the room. Everyone says they will help Midori because that is what friends are for. So there is a happy montage of everyone working together and planning out the routine and working on the festival. The day finally comes and we don't get to see Mochizou's film at all. We see the girls in all their get ups dancing around with all the other characters watching. Afterwords Midori thanks everyone for their hard work in her own way when Choi bows. She has been hinting about this all episode but now she confirms it. She says that Tamako is her Prince's bride. Tamako is like um what and THE END?!
 photo tamakomarketepisode1015_zps9eb328ce.jpg
A cellphone with a large plushie strap. Oh I love you Japan.
What a nice slice of life little show that is straight forward and has nothing to do with time travel. Unless there is time travel. There is a talking bird that has a projector for a face but that I can overlook. No more time travel/parallel universe stuff for a while or my head will explode.
 photo tamakomarketepisode107_zpsba94edb4.jpg
Yay for festivals!
School festival time weeee! I always think how cute these episodes are and how lucky high school kids are in Japan. Of course I could be cynical and think wow they are really training kids to become equal gears in their society and they are able to wrap it up in fun. The politics behind getting the best booth and time and working together with people who have different ideas than you. And it is work! Like a lot of work. But fun work. Why am I jealous again? I don't think I was even in a club in high school. I am so unsocial.
 photo tamakomarketepisode106_zps2982dbe6.jpg
I got this dude....all you dudes.
I think that Midori should have asked the girls for help from the beginning. Because why she is the president or whatever of the club doesn't mean she is the dictator. This is a festival and they are supposed to be working together! I mean I guess she should have final say but why plan something out if in the end not all the girls are capable of it? She shouldn't be I am captain I am doing it all. Don't you know what kind of anime you are in?
 photo tamakomarketepisode109_zpsa4b0ab75.jpg
Too much pressure!
I was enjoying Midori freaking out...until she got sick. Then it got sad. Like okay it is just a school festival. Life will go on. I know when you are in high school all high school things are the end of the world and the most important thing ever. But it will be okay. She was being so stubborn about not asking for help and she got sick over it. X____X How can I joke about that? But really just watch some videos and ask for some help. I mean I don't think I could make a routine either because I am untalented in that department but if you work together I am sure it will go smoother.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1011_zps9d1b9caf.jpg
Praying to a giant fish is a sign you are in over your head.
But maybe Midori had some man pride going on in this situation. Like no I said I was going to do this so I will. Kanna might be joking about over taking Midori as president or captain but maybe there was a vote and it wasn't unanimous. That Midori thinks she has something to prove when in reality everyone is friends and Kanna might just be joking. But now there are underclassmen involved and Midori thinks she needs to step up when in reality asking for help would have made more sense.
 photo tamakomarketepisode108_zps56ffc225.jpg
Care about me please!!!!
I hope that Tamako went to Mochizou's film! I don't care how early it was in the morning you go. He does everything for her and even if she doesn't see him in a romantic way she needs to show him some attention. They are friends you know. I guess she did ask how his cold was....and then was like make sure you film my performance!!! You better have seen his. This poor kid is always getting the short end of the stick.
 photo tamakomarketepisode1010_zps20885a70.jpg
Are you....smelling Tamako?
I like that Choi was helping the girls instead of sitting around watching the Japanese version of Springer. Even if she was. What happened to her illegally attending school? Guess that panned out as well as Dera's diet. I like how she came to town to get Dera into shape about getting the bride situation down but then she is like MEH I am going to turn this into a harem anime and crash forever. Free food and lodge for all!
 photo tamakomarketepisode1013_zpsd0d0b6e6.jpg
Gurl needs to mind her business.
While everyone correct to worry about Midori in the end.....some of them were being a bit dramatic. I know you are trying to belong Shiori but telling on Midori about the bathroom thing was a bit off. Tamako could sense Midori was wrong on the phone but the bathroom thing could have been anything. Mind ya business. Grandparents can never really mind their business but instead of trying to find out what is wrong and help everyone was just gossiping. Wasn't the problem obvious?
 photo tamakomarketepisode1014_zps3786b6a5.jpg
X___X Well that just got real.
I think the break down of Midori was done in such a way that it was realistic. Like Midori stressed herself out so much she didn't realize she was crying. Tamako has such faith in Midori she didn't think the girl was capable of tears. Kanna and Shiori were like is this real life please have a tissue. And Dera...well Dera just was in shock that Shiori poops. I am too folks.

The twins look like scary clowns. :(
After all the tears were dried and laughter took place over Dera's crazy dance it was time to put the feel good music and get this party started. See everything works better when you did together. Get those twins involved....and that random teacher who showed up out of nowhere. Thanks teacher!!! Maybe this was a lesson for Midori. To ask for help. If you do everything will become awesome and fun. The performance was pretty cute too. Good job girls.

Dera is about to go Mulan bowing on us. XD
The episode ends with Midori pretending like it was all her idea. Nah I guess she just has a hard time expressing herself. But the episode did end with Choi doing the MOG moment. It was touched upon very briefly when Choi first arrived on the scene, that Tamako I guess smelled different? But now there is a mole involved and TADA Tamako is the Prince's bride by some rules set up in their culture. Choi seems okay with this even though it is obvious she wants to be the bride. I am sure it will end up being that way because Tamako is like UM what you talking about crazy? Dera has been there for almost a year and the first person he saw is the bride. How amazing. Time to wrap this up o slice of life with a talking bird anime.

Tamako Market episode 9

Also might be a brat....
So sleepy. But I must post this before going to bed so I can wake up and do a million more dishes at work. So many dishes. SO MANY DISHES! But here we go, a place where work is fun. Tamako Market episode 9. Spoilers for Mochi Day!
Photobucket
:( A bit sad here...
Episode Summary: A blast from the past shows that Tamako's mother randomly came to the mochi shop one day and Dad lost his mind, thinking that Tamako's mom was confessing her love. She ran off all scared and Dad was smiles. But in the present dad is looking sour in the kitchen as Tamako goes on and on about Mochi Day, which is an actual holiday and not every day but whatever. Tamako wants to do something special for the day while dad is like no. Tamako mentions that Mochizou's dad is making character goods for the day which lights a fire under his butt. Tamako and Dera start humming a song that makes Dad feel uncomfortable. Choi finishes making breakfast and Anko appears to ask for some mochi for her special friend Yuzuki. Mochi is Tamako's life so she is down for this request. Oh and Dera is fat again. School seems to go fine for the girls although Midori is taking her new leadership roll as club president a little too far. Kanna plans a take over but not until she can pound some mochi. I originally wrote bang some mochi but decided that sounded wrong and changed it to pound. Obviously better. On the way home from school Mochizou talks to his friends how his birthday is Mochi day and if Tamako will remember it. The consensuses is...no. Mochizou sees Anko walking home so he runs up to her to pump her full of birthday ideas. Anko is like ain't nobody got time for that and runs away. She goes to her room and refuses to come out, even when Yuzuki comes over. Her family doesn't really make it very inviting for her to come out anyway so Tamako gives the little boy the mochi.

Boys are oh so helpful....
Tamako grows worried for her moody sister and asks Mochizou for help as he is an expert in little girls. He bothers her to death until the truth comes out, that Yuzuki is moving away. She runs off upset and Mochizou fails to tell Tamako what is up until the day of the Mochi...Day. The fathers both have a pounding contest which reminds Choi of her people's rain dance and Kanna is a freak. Yay sentences! Anko tries her best to not have fun and Mochizou encourages her to go see Yuzuki. She is like NO I can't use words. Tamako hands her sister some mochi and tells her it is the food of love or some crap. Anko runs off to give Yuzuki the food, nearly breaking her legs in the process. She delivers the food and some rather loud nonconfessions of love. Yuzuki is sweet and says he will see Anko soon and not worry. With Mochi Day winding down Dad goes inside and sees his old guitar just laying around. He starts singing the song Tamako thinks she knows and she goes all Peanut's character on him. THAT'S IT! She drags dad and every other person in this show (well most of them) to the music shop and sings the verses to the Music Guy. Turns out that the Music Guy and her Dad were in a band together in high school and Dad wrote that song for her mom. Everyone goes awwww as Dad runs away. Dera plays the old video for everyone to see and it is touching and...special. Before saying goodnight Tamako disappears and returns with a mochi for Mochizou for his birthday. He is touched by this amazing gift and maybe that song he just witnessed. Dad is busy being embarrassed inside the house but Tamako says she loves him even more now. Dera closes out the episode with talk of AWWWWS and pictures of Dad stalking Mom until she loved him. THE END!

Oh snap Dad is having emotions all over the place and Anko is having a tantrum.
Is Anko the most unfun kid in the history of anime? Hello she needs to be going on fun field trips and catching Clow Cards and skippin in town to cheesy music with her friends. Instead every time I see her she is on screen having a pout or tantrum. Like she is a normal kid or something.

I declare it national....wait we do have a pancake day!!!!
First things first...there is a Mochi Day. It is a real thing. And I don't think it was made up for the show. XO Mochi Day. Can it be Hamburger Day in the United States? I guess that isn't really traditional but then again we are a melting pot of stolen ideas. Is mochi that magical that it needs it's own day? I mean I am pretty sure according to this calendar in my room yesterday was Plant a Flower Day. Ever heard of it? Yeah me either. Mochi Day. I see.
Photobucket
Apparently my mind is still blown.
Also since I don't know Japanese a lot of this episode and basically the series has been lost on me. I didn't know Anko had something to do with mochi. The conversation with Mom and Dad I didn't understand the play on words. And Mochizou was born on Mochi Day? This is going too far. I mean it is like naming your kid after a dog or something. This ain't The Hunger Games! I mean...at least they got sorta cute names. Imagine if your father or mother worked in the sewers. X____X

Bird down! BIRD DOWN!
Dera got fat again. And there was barely any mention of it. Dera is like now that I have all this muscle under my fat it is even harder to fly. And Choi was like um no you get no breakfast....well until after you serve the tea. I have forgotten what a skinny Dera has looked like anyway. And in shape Dera last week made me want to puke. So fat Dera is here to stay.

How dare you suggest ways for us to make money!
Dad is allergic to doing anything new. I don't think it is linked to losing his wife. Although maybe if she was still alive she might want to do fun things too and since she is his love he would go along with things easier. But for now Tamako is running the show by mentioned competitors. Like Dad instead of whining for a new cellphone or to go out with a boy I will whine about ways we can make money. I am just such a bad daughter! Either way bring on the rice banging. I am sure it will be so very interesting to watch...for 5 minutes. Ring me up for the cellphone charm please.

Whoa a girl!
In the end Dad got a little backstory and face time which is always nice. Parents? In anime? Perish the thought. The romance had a bit of a rocky start and I think there might have been a restraining order at one point. But it is a bit sad seeing how happy Dad was at one point and how he really must miss his wife. He hasn't remarried even though his wife died at least 5 years ago. Guess it shows you that your parents were once like you. Of course the song was special and Tamako's version of it was even....more special. Still it brought the family together. Everyone say AWWWWW to Dad not wanting to show affection.

SO MUCH FEELING!
I think it is a bit much that Mochizou is born on Mochi Day. But it is a pipe dream for Mochizou to have Tamako remember his birthday. I mean...this is her official day of joy. The reason she was born. Remembering something besides mochi on Mochi Day is asking the impossible. Anko blowing him off was kinda rude. She was in a bad mood this episode so you know. But in the end Tamako surprised....well everyone. Me, Mochizou, the newly elected Pope. She gave Mochizou a present. Of course it was a piece of mochi and required no extra thought at all. But the sentiment was enough to make Mochizou cry tear of joy. I hate the word mochi now in case anyone cares.

Thanks for the help....jerk.
Anko is a weird little kid. But I guess when it comes down to it she might be pretty normal. Wants to like a boy but when he shows up she can only hide. Maybe she needed more of a mother figure in her life. She has a grandpa and Dad and sister in love with mochi. She isn't really good at showing how she feels and rather put on a strong front than be vulnerable. Maybe she is a brat but maybe she is cute too. In her own way.
Photobucket
Move Dera!
I thought it was cute that Anko was able to say goodbye to Yuzuki. It doesn't sound like he moved that far. Does Yuzuki like Anko? He seemed to just smile and wasn't that upset that he was moving. Maybe he didn't know how to handle the roller coaster that is a girl yet. He will learn. He will learn and it will be marvelous. But every time I saw that cute mop of hair I smiled. AWWWW! Everyone was helpful in the getting those two together.
Photobucket
What a weird little kid. XD But not moody like Anko.
Kanna is crazy in her own little way. Just small little touches here and there. Like I will overthrow Midori and take over the baton club...speaking of which....they got new members. X___X When did this happen?! I guess we will see more of those girls next time but yeah we don't see much of their club activities do we? Next episode we will but for now....Kanna has tiny little phrases that I just love and I enjoy her even if her birdhouses suck.
