Suiseu no Gargantia episode 13 FINAL EPISODE!

Hello there my lovely readers!! I think when I was out of work for three weeks I left my house...three times. Now that I have been employed for two weeks now (WOOHOO!) I have been all over the place! Zoo trip, 3 movie dates, 3 dinner/lunch get togethers, and an all day St. Augustine 4th of July celebration. My blog...it has suffered so. SO LONELY! If anything I told my husband I didn't want to go anywhere on Sunday. Hopefully that can be a day of much catching up.

Understatement of the year.

Not that I will have much to catch up on. Animes are ending left and right! Take this one for example. Suisei no Gargantia. Episode 13. All finished for....well....fluff.

This is Pinion learning his lesson....

Episode Summary: After Ledo relives Kugel's head falling into his lap he turns his eye on Striker, the unit. Since Ledo is having problems understanding Chamber explains that they were talking to Striker the whole time. Striker then explains that it was operating under Kugel's actions to better the humans on Earth, implying that Kugel had been around long enough to start the cult and Striker to have enough info to carry on. Ledo gets upset and Chamber disagrees with Striker's reasoning. Striker has turned the people into zombies. Since these units exist to help humans and not rule them as Striker has done. Chamber deems this all crazy and Striker is the enemy. Strike once more asks Ledo to follow it and pit away the notion of making decisions for himself. Ledo is like EFF that and the fight goes on. Ledo realizes the Alliance was wrong and this civilization will be harmed if Striker continues. On the ground the battle continues with Pinion firing and Rackage leading her troops. Flange is sensing defeat soon but presses on, trying to rescue the nonfighters. Pinion's super weapon needs charging and Pinions deems everyone worthless, sending them away to guard his treasure. Everyone knows that Pinion is staying behind to protect them so they leave in tears. Pinion tries to act like a bad ass, saying that no one is going to touch his treasure. In the sky the battle between Ledo and Striker continues. Chamber notes that Striker is way more agile. Ledo proposes doing some sort of neuro link. Chamber says no as Ledo will probably not survive. Ledo explains that he and Chamber should die to get rid of Striker and protect this world. Chamber agrees and they link up.....just as Amy flies up. It is shown Ridget used her Commander key to unlock some secret weapon. It has a powerful lazer beam and Amy is shown being the beacon to guide the missiles. Ledo is shocked at this new development as is Pinion and Flange.

THE TREASURE! Because then none of this would have been worth it!

As Ridget keeps on firing the Cult People realize they are super losing. They try to take over Pinion's portion of the ship. He was planning on blowing up the entire tower with him inside but Rackage insists on saving his ass. With Gargantia firing away Striker decides to fight them instead of Ledo. Ledo and his neuro linked self goes after Striker but it becomes clear even with this extra power it won't be enough. Ledo decides he is going to do before this is done. He accepts this fate but still cries as he wishes he could have seen Amy one more time. Chamber notes the tears and decides to strip Ledo of duty. Ledo is launched off the suit as Chamber explains it is his duty to make sure Ledo reaches his potential. Chamber no longer has to watch over Ledo as he has grown so much. Striker says Chamber is the broken one as Chamber is like go to hell. Chamber self destructs taking out Striker and himself. Ledo cries but the battle is now over. A short time later everyone and I mean EVERYONE is happy. Pinion is in the middle of a love triangle, Ridget allows Flange back into the fleet while also accepting Rackage's people and the CultRUs. Chamber is at the bottom of the damn ocean with Hideauze babies on his surface. Ledo has become a Hideauze whisperer as he searches the bottom of the ocean for HELPFUL treasure. He greets Amy warmly after a long days worth of work and they are happy with their matching flying squirrels. THE END!

Don't worry, Ledo gets better.

OFFICIAL! The sugar. All of my teeth have rotted out with this batch of animes. Be prepared to read this exact same paragraph again. XD

So.... how about that dead Kugel? Ledo has been going through a lot lately. Maybe he didn't feel as if he had the time to spend going NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO when he found out that Kugel was dead. That or Ledo has been broken into tiny little pieces and this is all par for the course now. Like haha bring it on bitches how can it get any worse?!?!? Hopefully Ledo's soldier mentality is holding hims together and later he can cry about all this insanity after the fact.

Was I understanding right? Kugel did make it to Earth? Just a lot sooner than Ledo did obviously. Because Striker wasn't right out saying how it happened. But that is what I am understanding. That Kugel ruled these people long enough for Striker to get what was to be expected. That would explain the high level of crazy that was happening on ShipRInsane. No way Kugel landed yesterday like Ledo did and people accepted this shit.

Translation: It is hard to follow the order of the human inside you if said human is dead.

Yet when Chamber was talking there were doubts in my mind. He said that Striker misunderstood what Kugel wanted. That Kugel was D.O.A on arrival and Striker went through with how the Alliance was set up. Of course Kugel could have had a less insane way of leading and Strike took it upon itself to redefine the rules. Chamber seems to be putting a lot of the blame on Striker when I think it was Kugel and Striker just continued long (LONG?!) after he was gone.

Are you a god?!

I guess in the end it doesn't matter. Striker was acting like a god. Chamber said time and again he was to support humans. Without a human riding around in Striker I guess Chamber assumed that Striker should shut down. Or assist the humans on the Cult Ship. Not lead them. So it was battle time. While the robots were talking and very intelligently I might add it really did boil down to them arguing about which of them was breaking the rules most. No you suck. NO YOU BIG MEANIE!!!!!!!! It was kinda amusing. But this is not a time for jokes! It is time for Ledo to take a stand for the first time in his life. No more sheepie for Ledo!

This is Pionion's caring face. Don't blink folks.

While this fight in the sky is going on there is plenty of drama still below with the ships. Pinion. Pinion....what can I say about this world class turd? It is too late for me to accept any redemption. He was helping out with his firing o the lazer beams. And I guess it can be said he was trying to protect his people. By insulting them. Because that is how manly men do it. They can't just say how much of an honor it was serving with these brave people but an asshole goes down with his treasure. Look at all the tears!

Can't you just date Bellows instead? RARW!

For the record Pinion does not die. I was thinking with how things were going there was only going to be minor casualties and that Pinion would be one of them. He did cause a great deal of this mess and I don't think he really has learned his lesson. Without the others in his ear I think he could have skipped around a lot longer with the Cult people with his treasure. But Rackage is like um I would like a love triangle with Pinion and Bellows later and had to save his ass. Curses!!!!!!

Suicide? Sign Ledo up!

When it became obvious that Chamber was outgunned/maneuvered by Striker I didn't think it would end well for Ledo. Like hmmm how can they make Chamber evenly matched with Strike. I didn't think it was going to be a neuro link even if I am used to shows with that concept. I thought Chamber was going to cut down vital systems that would end up hurting Ledo but not this. Of course it wasn't any better. This seems to be a last resort type of move. But like all Last Resort moves in Pokemon it causes damage to the user. Like well you are probably going to die anyway so you might as well use this and take out a few more Hideauze while you can. Doubt it gets used that much. And while this show is mainly about Ledo learning how to become human it is clear Chamber is learning that lesson too. He is there to help his pilot grow and take orders from him. Yet Chamber hesitated.

Oh snap! Amy is here?! Time to die!

I didn't think that Gargantia was going to help THAT much. I really thought when Amy appeared in the air with her beacon self that she was going to cause Ledo's death. In face I still think that should have happened. Amy was the one directing the amazing Ridget missiles (HAHAH FLANGE YOU SUCK!). Instead of attacking Gargantia Striker could have just attacked Amy. Maybe Striker couldn't finder her in the sky and was just focused on where the missiles were coming from. But yeah I thought that was game over for Amy and Ledo was going to dramatically save her life at the cost of his.

I think Ledo and Gareki need to be pen pals.

Instead...it was Chamber!!! Gargantia was trying its best to support Ledo and Striker was on its way to blow up the ships. Ledo was already at his limits with the neuro link. I was expecting Chamber and Ledo to blow up WITH Striker. I was prepared for the boy to die a hero and his stories to be told. The man who came from the sky taught us so much. But Ledo was overcome by those emotions I explained earlier. I'M FEELING!!!! He was prepared to die to protect these people that became like family but it still hurt. Crying and thinking of Amy. Poor Ledo.

NOOOOO! CHAMBER!!!

So Chamber is like okay I am the Terminator. Well via movie two. He learns. He learns how to be human. So he found a way to follow his programing and not be like the lame Striker and save Ledo AND everyone. Like Ledo you are unable to continue so WHOOSH you go. I mean Ledo knew what he was doing and Chamber the now human robot knew what he was doing. Go on little grasshopper. I am here to support you and my time is done. Be free. I be back. Well not really. He did tell Striker to go to hell. Funny how Ledo, someone who was barely human himself, was able to teach Chamber how to be human. It was...actually touching. We saw Chamber so much it was sad when he blew up, we felt Ledo's sadness.

Make medicine, not war.

And then TADA the show got wrapped up in 2 minutes. No really it did. After Chamber died for Ledo everything was wrapped up in a fluffy bow full of wonder and everyone getting along. Seriously. Flange and Pinion were welcome back with open arms. Like no punishment or anything. And why not? Because Rackage is apart of the crew. Part of the ship part of the crew. Oh and the crazy cult people? The ones who were not blown up were welcome with smiles and rainbows. Free unicorns for everyone. I understand that everyone needs to work together to make this world a better place. Especially when a lot of their resources were just lost in this petty war. But this was a little unbelievable. I think that there needed to be more time making sure everything was on the up and up. Start with some trading and maybe let them on the ships...later. Not now.

Let's go start our flying squirrel farm now.

Bloodbath? Nope. But would I call this a trolling? No. I think this show delivered what it said it would in the synopsis. The happy every day life of Earth. With his new pet squirrel and hot squeeze by his side Ledo has turned into the Hideauze whisperer and dives to the floor of the ocean. No longer a soldier but an explorer, learning and see new things. Making a life for himself on this new planet. Things did end a bit sugary for me but...it delivered what the show promised. Only I wish Chamber lived instead of Pinion. :(

Suiseu no Gargantia episode 12

Okay. Okay. So I am an awful slacker who needs to get her act together as half these shows have already ended. But it has been a long time since I have worked this many hours. Well not really. At the pizza place I worked a lot of hours in 3 days. Here at my new job I work a lot of hours over the course of a whole week. XO Not being overworked and all. That and I am trying this new thing called waking up in the morning and going to bed when normal people do. So right now I am having a learning curve at time management. Please bare with my continuous lateness.

But here are two posts back to back so rejoice?! Up now is Suiseu no Gargantia episode 12. Spoilers for...well I guess Mami?

And you is a heap of shit?

Episode Summary: Pinion is shown all the treasure that this creep fleet has. Well at least the weapon treasure. He is told to work on what he can and if its not usable he can keep it. Pinion starts to hapily work but Rackage appears and basically calls him a sell out. She says she is planning a revolt but either wants Ledo's help or Chamber. Unclear. Pinion is X___x at this all. Ledo has been thinking about what to do with the Gargantia situation. He wanted t save everyone from the Hideauze and now everything is a hot mess. Ledo tries to fix the situation by talking to Kugel via his suit. Kugel wants Ledo to really think about the human race and this....missionary mission. Flange and Melty work together to talk to Pinion about the insanity of the rest of the crew. Like they are zombies or something. Flange wants to leave before things get bad (um...) and Pinion mentions what Rackage wants to do. While Ledo is off being sad he notices a flying squirrel similar to Amy's. More sad times. The squirrel then....freaks out because of the rain and leads Ledo to another part of the ship. To his shock he sees a ceremony of some kind taking place to thank God for the rain. This ceremony involves throwing useless/old/sick people overboard as thanks. Ledo tries to save a kid but it is too late. The people sink into the ocean never to be seen again.

Well thank you for finally waking up!

Ledo is pretty damn upset and asks Chamber what to do. Ledo realizes that he has never made a decision before in his life. Chamber says he is able to fight Kugel but can't morally answer the question. Ledo then gets the mission info and gives it to Melty so she can fly to Gargantia and warn the others. Ledo has faith in Melty and she almost makes it. She sends a signal to the ship before she passes out. Amy manages to find and save her to bring her back to the ship. Upon recovering Melty explains the mission. Ridget readies the fleet to change course like Ledo has suggested but Amy comes in and is like We can't let Ledo fight alone! Back on CultRUs the machines are readied for battle. Kugel is slightly worshipped until Ledo appears and is like we shouldn't be fighting at all! The two...then start to fight and Pinion sorta joins in, firing his lazer beam at opportune moments. Flange's crew starts attacking the cult people. The cult people try to use their suits but Rackage and her suits arrive to kick ass. Ledo doesn't want to kill Kugel and tries to talk him down. Kugel is like Alliance this and human future that. Despite being overpowered Ledo slams Kugel into a pipe and goes to open the cockpit to take out Kugel. Only...the minute Ledo opens said hatch Kugel starts to disintegrates. His head even falls off. His machine then switches to what I assume is super self pilot mode as Ledo looks on in X___X THE END!!!!!

Work?! Does it involve killing Hideauze?!

Hello from work! I brought a bigger notebook to work today to see if I could gauge paragraphs better. I write kinda small though. The summary took up more than one page. X___X Hope that translates to less when I type it out. But woohoo to this job so far. Free time here and there is great.

Rackage gets right to the point.

So first things first. Rackage might be poorly dressed and a pirate and probably a murderer. But she sure dressed down Pinion. Like really...really....really?! So when someone like Rackage is letting you know you suck...you really must suck. Like um where is your dignity? Are you really going to be blinded to the situation that EVERYONE is in because you are getting shiny new toys? Asshole.

So many crazy people, so little bullets to shoot them with.

I see that Flange wants some sympathy too. Not sure if I have any to give him. They chose to go with Pinion the Greedy. Now granted it was Pinion who said come get us ALL here we are...but still....Flange and his people left Ridget because they didn't believe in her power to lead and protect. Now you are surrounded by crazy people. But at least they are intelligent enough to see the crazy through the trees. This fleet must assimilate you fast or people off themselves.

Pretty please?

Another person not feeling this new way of life...Ledo. Which is rather sad. He was so excited that someone from his world was there. He was maybe going to put aside the Hideauze are human thing. A little give and take. Now Ledo wishes that was his only problem. Ledo can't be having his dancing girl Amy attacked. He left to protect her, not bring the crazy to her. So I am glad Ledo has eyes and saw this missionary event was....not so nice.

Come with me if you want to live.

By the way....I know for sure a bloodbath is not going to happen. Do you know why? That flying squirrel. I mean....really. Really people? There doesn't seem to be many animals left on Earth and that one seems rather useless. So what are the chances that Ledo would find another squirrel? Slim to none. Slim to none! Thus at the very least Amy and Ledo will live and start a flying squirrel farm. Because one can not do that alone.

You probably don't want to know but have fun running to find out.

But yes. Ledo and his flying squirrel were chillin in the rain and something else awful happened. Because Ledo has not suffered enough. No no, he has to really have no reason to live. Ledo's new flying squirrel buddy is like come and see why I hate the rain! These crazy cult people...apparently have found “god”. It is unclear if they really mean the Christian God or they think Kugel's suit is their god. Either way religion that takes things this far in never a good thing. I don't see it has a shot at any particular religion, just as a warning that religion should be about bettering your life and others through a connection with a higher power.

And they are smiling. Yay crazy people!!!!

I doubt that can be reached through killing people by drowning them in the ocean. Of course this connected twice with Ledo as his society did the same thing, for the same reason. Well this cult was acting like they were killing these people to give thanks for the rain. But really Kugel was getting rid of all the people who couldn't pull their wait in this society. Out with the old and sick and in with the new and healthy. The brainwashing is strong with this society as everyone was okay with dying for the rain. Like weee we get to go to a better place now. If that is the case why doesn't anyone kill each other? Just very shocking and Ledo's mind probably exploded.

Well that is a bit sad. :(

There was more exploding for Ledo has he sadly realized he has never made a decision in his life. Chamber weighs the situation for him and Ledo follows through. Ledo doesn't even see his leaving Amy as a decision, just something natural he had to do as a member of the Alliance. That must have been a very sad feeling for him. A lot of growing up he has done in this show. Now I think there should have been more sadness and emptiness but I guess time is not on Ledo's side. Good to know that Ledo wasn't so far gone that he couldn't recognize these things in himself. That wow I have been a sheep, time to step up.

You can do it....until you can't!

Melty. X___X I am surprised she didn't melt in the sky. I am glad she stepped up and helped Ledo withi his new mission to save everyone but hot damn hommie could have died. I guess there wasn't enough power for an under water suit to make it. That and Melty is not that important in terms of fighting so she wouldn't be miss. Just that Melty could have died and she really took a chance that she could make it that far and that the calculations wouldn't let her down.

We have to help Ledo! It has nothing to do with the fact that I love him!

It's not surprising that Ledo's plan for Gargantia was to run away. He might be able to think for himself now but he still wants to be the protector. And since Flange is the one with the firepower he just wanted what was best. To protect the weak for once, not send them off into space or the ocean to die. But Amy is not down for that. Amy seems to think this is Gargantia's problem....even thought Pinion being an asshole and drawing attention to them all IS the problem. Still Amy is like no we are in danger and we can't let Ledo fight alone. Which means that Gargantia will be able to help Ledo once and maybe not too many people will die. Still I think Ridget should have protected the most people and let Ledo have the better chance of winning. But....you know..I guess fighting an enemy on your own terms now is better than a sneak attack later.

We are the Borg!

Poor Ledo. He knows what he has do to but still wants to give Kugel a chance to see the light. Like okay we can still fight the Hideauze and yes maybe a little organization never killed anyone. But turning Earth into the super serious Alliance is not going to work, it won't bring happiness. It will bring efficiency to the extreme but that won't be a life worth living right? But Kugel is clearly on the side of the Borg this episode. They will be assimilated.

But I still don't like Rackage.

I thought the battle would last a little longer. But I guess if it got too serious we would have no more Chamber and Ledo would lose no matter what. Just that Kugel's suit had more power than Chamber and the power of friendship doesn't turn into energy for roboys. Unless there is anime magic involved. But everyone else got in on the battle too. Pinion and his lazer beam was a bit special as I thought Kugel should have been able to dodge a bit more. But it gave Ledo a little bit of time to get his bearings. The rest of the crew was fighting back too. I would have thought that some of the cult members would have joined the rebels, that they were just playing to save their own skin. Oh Rackage...leader of the rebellion. You are certainly not the Mockingjay but you get the job done.

Um I think you already said that 5 times.

Since this show likes to end with a MOG moment...what was it this week? HMMM Ledo wins the fight and tries to talk to Kugel again. Only this man had no emotion in his voice. He started to repeat himself. He wasn't directly talking about what Ledo was talking about. Even if Kugel was a soldier I would expect something from him. A little anger, acknowledgment this is the best path even if it seems harsh. But there was nothing. Nothing at all. It started to feel weird and I sensed what was coming.

Ledo would like to go back to the underage dancing please.

So when Ledo opened the hatch up and Kugel's head fell off I wasn't TOO surprised. I figured it out about 10 seconds before it happened. I mean...how clever of that machine, to say OH Kugel can't leave the hatch because of an infection or disease. Yeah that would be called AIR!!!!! So Kugel fell to Earth and died however long ago it has been. A long time given how gross Kugel turned in 5 seconds and how crazy the cult people have been. The machine has been running the show the entire time due to its own protocol or maybe Kugel was alive for the first few days to give the machine that idea? Either way it has been running out autopilot the entire time because it doesn't know any better. Does that mean there is no real enemy in this show? I don't think Ledo has time to think about it as Kugel's head is in his lap....

Suiseu no Gargantia episode 11

So...what is this?

Behold the promised anime episodes! Lets get this party rolling before I fall asleep. Depending on what happens tomorrow hopefully I will get new episodes out and blogged, instead of just playing catch up. But for now here is Suiseu no Gargantia episode 11. Spoilers for....things almost as crazy as the Hideauze.

Well thank goodness you weren't sad for days!

Episode Summary: Amy, Ridget, and Bellows are all smiling and being woman, happy to have the crazy men out of their lives. Back at FlangeMadeAHugeMistake R Us more ships are arriving because Pinion announced to everyone that they are amazing, please come rob them. Pinion and his crew look slightly nervous but they have Ledo on their side, what can go wrong? Pinion even fires a warning shot at the other ships because he is a douche. They fire as well but Pinion is like I still got Ledo! Well Ledo has had an orgasm over the fact that Kugel is alive. He basically says PEACE OUT EVERYONE and flies off to Kugel who apparently was on the other side of the planet and couldn't use the radio. As Ledo approaches the ships he sees cult people with robes and symbols on their heads. Ledo and Chamber assume that Kugel has taken control of the locals and all is well. Ledo is lead in a really space wasting room to talk to Kugel....via holographic stuff. Kugel either has an infection or believes the locals will make him sick so he has taken command from his suit. Still Ledo is the happiest person whi might have been cloned on the face of the planet, yay Kugel!Back on WeMadeAHugeMistake Pinion is acting all big and bad but people are point out that Pinion is to blame. Flange gets hailed by the other ships and it is super requested a representative comes over to talk to them. Pinion to be specific. As Pinion waits for his ship ride of doom Melty comes by and tries to make him feel better. Which doesn't work. To everyone's surprise Rackage is the one who comes to pick up Pinion. Rackage explains to Pinion when he boards to the ship at the same time Kugel explains to Ledo how all is fair on this ship, even if things look doom and gloom. People are given rations based on what they contribute and all work towards to the goal of bettering the human race.

...Maybe these people should have turned into whalesquid instead...

That reminds Ledo that Hideauze are people. Kugel doesn't seem shocked as he already knew this. He points out they don't look or act human anymore so really we should blow them out of the water. Ledo looks conflicted. Pinion has finally be lead to another equally large and wasteful space. He waits to be greet and plays with a little cube on the table. He finally figures out how to open it and POOF it is Kugel's suit. It was all a test to see if Pinion was worthy of joining their crew. They want him to make more weapons and what not. Pinion has his ego inflated and basically says yes. But then some creepy cult people force him to read a message over to Flange's fleet that says surrender or else...in nice words. Flange allows this to happen as he does not want his people to suffer. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY! Pinion slowly starts to realize things are awful here and they are basically prisoners in a cult full of crazy people. Chamber informs Ledo that Kugel is not sick and probably stays inside the suit to rule more effectively. Ledo is still feeling iffy about everything but decides to follow Kugel anyway. That is until Kugel tells Ledo that his next plan involves Amy's home. OH NO!

At least Ledo has woken up.

X____X This episode did not go the way I thought it was going to go. Like there was a small detail that happened in the last episode that I thought was so insignificant I didn't bother mentioning it. Now...it is where the series is heading. Gosh to show you how things can change at a drop of a hat!

Wait you are talking about the cult people?

So what was the tiny detail I thought wasn't worth mentioning? The crazy cult people on the boat. See I thought that we were seeing a glimpse of the past. That Chamber was talking about how humans gave up their humanity and became squids with lazer beams on their bodies. That we were seeing an image of the cult after the mass exodus from Earth and how they threw themselves into the ocean via The Little Mermaid and became Hideauze. Because I thought after we saw the humans we then saw an abandoned ship of husks and what not. So I was like okay that is all part of Chamber's explanation and it is not worth mentioning.

Think of the mission!

WRONGO! Turns out that Ledo's boss Kugel has been hanging out on Earth, the other side of the planet, with the cult people the entire time. Look at me missing the super important details. I love how 5 seconds ago Ledo was crying and laying on the ground muttering that his life was a lie and he no reason to live and now...POOF! See you Pinion and other people I don't know, it is time for me to go back home. I do think it makes sense though. Ledo has been through a trauma and needed something to cling to. That and he was only there to pass the time and kill whalesquid. So Ledo's change of heart makes sense.

Um...have you not been paying attention?

I don't think Pinion handled this very well. All of which is amusing. Ledo leaves behind Pinion and gang and everyone is like X____X he left us. The Lawyer left us! But Pinion convinced Flange and all his fire power to leave Ridget. So what goes around comes around. HAHAHA! Pinion has just been using Ledo. He never really liked the kid, threatening to kill him under his breath. Yes he made sure that Ledo was alive last episode when said Ledo was in a trance. But I think that is more of Pinion keeping track of his firepower. So...yeah it was comical. Pinion was acting all big and bad with his new find and now it is quickly crumbling. All sad for Pinion? I think not. XD

I hypothesize everyone is insane.

Things did escalate fast. I thought maybe Ledo would go over and talk to his Commander first and then Pinion would find himself in trouble. But things seem to happen at the same time. Ledo happily flies over, like a kid going to see Daddy after a long tour of duty while Pinion is summoned by...well Rackage. Surely this show is taking an interesting turn and I think the days of Hideauze killing are long behind us. HMMMMM maybe there will not be a bloodbath after all. Peace out aliens! I mean humans....

Who to start with first...I guess that will be Ledo and his poor confused self. It really was nice seeing Ledo excited again. Even if he was a straight lace soldier before it all went down in space now he is a young kid eager to be told what to do. Thinking is hard!!!! I did think it was a bit odd that Ledo was accepting of Kugel staying in his unit. At first I thought Ledo was too blinded by WOOHOO to see how odd it was. Like...Ledo is outside his unit, what infection? Is whalesquid catching?! But then Ledo slowly started to see what was going on and by the end of the episode Ledo is like um you can stay in your tiny suit.

The non existent disease has gotten to his brain.

Kugel clearly has lost his mind. Like he got attacked in space and crashed into Earth and lost his damn mind. The opposite of Pandorum. Because he is a SOLDIER! I mean....all of this war stuff has been so imbedded in his brain and soul he cannot escape it. It's like Ledo's situation. He was so upset with his purpose gone and being “a lie” he could barely function. It must be worse for Kugel (Ledo clone?) who has lived with this lifestyle for so much longer. Even if he knew the truth. That is the only noncrazy thing about Kugel. He knew that these creatures used to be human and was like...okay but now they are squids with lazer beams on their heads. They are NOT human. But yeah. Despite the fact that the Alliance is about 4432943 million years away Kugel is going to keep with the mission statement and blow away the Hideauze.

Which means...turning people into crazy cult people woohoo! Did Kugel just travel around the world collecting people or did he land with these people first? Either way they have been drinking the crazy juice. I didn't think that Kugel would go this far in his...delusions, the face paint and what not. But the other stuff seems to make sense, the reward system and what not. Even if...a lot of people were sitting around doing nothing. Maybe they really need to go the District 13 route and give out uniforms and such. Rackage is too crazy looking. You know, amidst the other crazy people.

Does Kugel know that Pinion is really, really stupid in every other aspect?

I think the test for Pinion was a bit special. It looked to me he was just sticking things in holes. What do I know though. I thought he was just a welder and a salvager. You know, using things that were already made. But I guess Kugel's unit sees promise in this man. Pinion and his newly painted face has been appointed head of making super duper weapons to blow up Hideauze. I am not sure what happens after that but then again Kugel probably hasn't thought that far ahead.

All of this affects more than Pinion and Ledo. Flange did say that he went along with Pinion to find the treasure and make mankind better. However I do remember him cutting down Ridget on being inexperienced and what not. So his assholeness seems to be biting him in the butt. While his people are not dead they have been assimilated. Forgotten are the days of everyone doing what they want and smiles and random dances. Now it seems that everything will be precise. With face paint. I am sure the pirates are having such a great time with their new home....new new home that is.

What about the Hideauze... :(

While Ledo was super happy to see his Commander (clone?) it quickly deteriorated as the conversation went on and on. Fight the previous humans aka gross whalesquids? Governing these free Earth people? But the final nail in this happy reunion is Kugel saying that Amy's people are his next target. Ledo was like whoa back up there. I was willing to ride the insane train a little longer but Amy? Amy and her carefree smile? No. We draw the line there. So....this is what the show will come down to. Ledo protecting Amy and friends from Kugel. Not the Hideauze biting Pinion's face off. Disappointment!

Suiseu no Gargantia episode 10

Yep.....that sums up your life pretty well.

Anime or sleep? Anime post and then sleep. XD I got sorta carried away with my random story of woes from work. That similar story of the asshole girl at Dunkin Donuts just reminded me of things and I had to write. But here is one post before I go to bed and another one will follow soon tomorrow afternoon. Promise. Suisei no Gargantia episode 10 for everyone. Spoilers for Ledo....being sad and Pinion being an asshole. Again.

Episode Summary: Pinion and his men are celebrating that Ledo has apparently killed all the squidwhales, as their bodies float to the surface and blood is all over the place. Pinion gets everyone into place to start gathering up the supplies. They are briefly scared when Ledo's Chamber breaks the surface but are like oh it is just our favorite metal head. Chamber has to take Ledo out of the suit as he is having delusions of humans merging with Hideauze and that Ledo was actually killing humans. The situation does not improve when Ledo sees all the blood and guts on Chamber's fingers. Ledo enters a state of is this real life and how can this be happening?! Pinion and his greedy ass self tries to pretend he is a human being and shares a drink with his dead brother via the ocean. Then it is down to business collecting all the supplies from the bottom of the ocean. Flange and his second banana appear to see all the....crap that Pinion has taken up so far. Flange is so impressed and thinks they can change the world with this stuff. Pinion is like up...are you dumb? We are keeping this for ourselves and blowing up anyone who comes near it. Pinion decides that his statement needs to be public knowledge and runs off to announce everything is theirs and if you come close to them KABOOM, just like all the whalesquid. Flange and his right hand man are a bit shocked as Flange really did want to better mankind. Pinion and his awful message broadcasts across the world, of course reaching Ridget and her people. They were just getting things settled with all the lost ships when everyone learns of this. Crown and his man come to visit Ridget to see what she plans to do with this knowledge. She knows that people might be jealous of this new wealth and leave but hopefully this doesn't lead to disaster. Bellows is super disappointed in Pinion while Bevel is sad that Ledo killed all the whalesquid. Saya tries to cheer up Amy but that is a bust as well. As more and more treasure is lifted from the ocean Flange becomes worried. His minion also has started to see the light, that maybe they can become rich off this. Saya comes by to deliver a message but questions if they will be safe now. Flange says that while they are safe from whalesquids Pinion's stupid actions might have put them in danger of in fighting and being loners at see. Pinion tries to talk to Ledo, like he actually cares about the other human being. Ledo is more concerned on looking sick and out of it, like he can't believe this is all happening to him.

Can't you see that I am busy having a bad life?!

Soon pirates come to take all the treasure like suspected. Flange's firepower makes quick work of them but the pirates do not surrender. Pinion then hooks up one of the weapons from the fallen human mutilation plant and fires!!! Whoosh goes one ship. Pinion boards the other with the plans on making examples of the pirates. But after some talking Pinion gets stupid stars in his eyes and decides to add the pirates to his crew. Soon they will be unstoppable. The pirates who surrender then party with the rest of the crew, like Neo had come and saved them all. Pinion drags Ledo to get some food and Ledo looks on at the people, thinking how people are people. Pinion tries to make Chamber work on a big piece of machinery brought up from the surface. Chamber claims it is a less....amazing version of his firepower but Pinion is like what, it compares to you?! Amazing! Chamber says that it will take a lot of energy to run this weapon so Pinion suggests the little lightbugs that make the Galaxy Sea. Later because Ledo isn't feeling bad enough Chamber announces that the little bug things are either because of the Hideauze or a by product of them. Ledo is too crazy and out of his mind to really process it. Chamber and Ledo try to talk but it doesn't go so well as one is a giant robot. Ledo points out that Hideauze are people and there is no way he can fight people. Plus the Alliance is a million zillion years away, the war is over. Chamber tries to reason with the human, that the Alliance and Hideauze came from the same source, humans, but developed in different ways. That the Hideauze abandoned their human side to become..well that and gave up civilization in the process. Humans are the intelligent ones to emerge from these sides thus get to live. Before Ledo can argue that was a lot of words to say EW GROSS KILL Chamber says that he is picking up a message from the Alliance. But I thought we were a million zillion miles away? Well it turns out it is another suit like Chamber. Only apparently this one belongs to Kugel. He crashed on Earth. SURPRISE! THE END!

Is this real life?!

Another twist? HA! You can't twist me again. Mainly because I haven't recovered from the last one! So you can keep making AHA noises and making things dramatic. Because my brain has not recovered from the fact that people turned themselves into squids with lazer beams. So no one cares Kugel!

Can you please be a bit more respectful of Ledo's breakdown?

But no matter how much of my brain has melted from this craziness Ledo has it worse. Which makes me happy. If I am suffering he should be suffering worse. I mean he is the one who was shooting them out of the sky and turning them into tiny puddles of mush in the ocean. He should be suffering. All of this information at once is too hard for him to handle. He already has stunted growth due to not really....well communicating and talking to other humans. It has been KILL KILL all his life and now he doesn't have that anymore.

Which is interesting. Or maybe not. Ledo's purpose in life has been taking away from him. That is the maybe not portion of my sentence. Since Ledo has had time to realize his purpose in life was gone. No more Alliance, no more Hideauze. Maybe he slowly had started to come to terms with this when POOF whalesquids appear. So maybe this loss of purpose in life is easier to handle since he has had time to deal with it. Or the more likely factor....he is having dreams that kids and people are Hideauze. Yeah maybe that is why he got over it. XD Poor Ledo...this might take a while to get over.

Err...you okay there?

You know who won't be getting over it? Pinion. Okay Ledo has not verbalize what his problem is but even if he did Pinion wouldn't care. Because Pinion is an asshole. All over the damn place. But Tenchi, Pinion did try to ask what was wrong with Ledo...twice. And made sure that Ledo had things to eat. Still that is not enough for me to feel bad for Pinion or to stop wishing for his death. If a bloodbath is coming I hope Pinion is the first victim, even if he tries to reach out to Ledo. You know, after he used the boy.

I am shocked at this side of you. So shocked!

So why the Pinion hate? Well really I should be rolling my eyes at Flange. He is pretty much a moron while Pinion is being himself. What did Flange think was going to happen? How were they going to better mankind when he made it clear he didn't want to be around Ridget and her peoples anymore? Rejoin them like nothing happened? I guess they still could have found some way to trade. But really...it should have been a red flag when Pinion was being all shady and stuff on the main ship.

I am sure this being in Pinion's hand will end well.

People might be arguing that it is human nature to keep something you have found. To be clear Ledo is the one who did most of the work while Pinion and the others got the reward. And Bellows was the one who refound the area. So....I am putting that aside for argument sake. Pinion found this treasure and while most of us would be like YES maybe we can finally stop living on ships and get something going here...I can see how Pinion would want to make sure him and his people want their share. Human nature. Only I hate Pinion and he got way too cocky.

What did the pirates think was going to happen?

I mean he was like come here pirates!!!!! The pirates were sorta dumb though for showing up. Didn't they get the memo the last two pirate attacks didn't end well for said pirates? Still it was like Pinion was dangling the carrot in front of the pirate only to show off. Like look at me and what I got? Come here fishy fishy so I can try out my new toys!!!

Probably not. Hopefully Pinion dies first.

Just Pinion being stupid and putting people at risk. Safety in numbers by adding the pirates but he didn't even ask Flange. It is like Pinion thinks he is in charge. Melty and that second banana start to question whether or not any of this was safe. Ridget is like can this life get any worse as she worries more people will leave. Which I think is odd since Pinion said DO NOT APPROACH. Still he is greedy and I hate him.

There...was quite a bit of WTF near the end of the episode. I was having a hard time following what was being said with the lightening bugs. I thought that the lightening bugs were something humans made to make Hideauzes stronger so when they merged with said creature they could last in space. But Wiki makes it sound like the Hideauze made the little bugs. I guess that really doesn't matter. Just another sign that the people working on this insanity made something that actually helps the humans still on Earth. And to creep Ledo out more.

Humans do not have lazer beams on their bodies. Nor do they look like flowers with scary teeth.

Ledo's side of the argument is understandable. They are humans...sorta. The babies look really human. Ledo is to fight the enemy and clearly the enemy has been linked to humans in the past. He is upset and doesn't understand why Chamber doesn't see this. I will excuse Ledo of this as he has been through a lot. But Chamber is a robot...a machine.

Are we seeing this? THIS IS A CULT!

As such Chamber is able to take the emotion of out this. Yes Hideauze have human origins. They used to be human. But they are now squids with lazer beams on their head. Most would argue that is not human anymore. If we took cats and raised them for 1000 years in two different spots...or you know...injected them with dragon DNA they would look really, really different. You would not longer want to pet one of them. The same can be said for these monsters. Chamber also takes it a step further and say that this evolution was self inflicted. The crazy people chose to become these monsters. Like psht civilization sucks. Lets fly into space weeee! So in Chamber's mind this is all well and good, no harm has been done.

How do you know who that is Ledo?!

Ledo barely has anytime to process any of this when something else has to happen. Something that has taken my train of thought off Chamber being the last enemy in this anime. No no, it doesn't seem to be the case. Ledo won't have to ask everyone to help to blow Chamber up, although that new weapon of Pinion's will probably help. What is the last enemy? Well that would be Kugel, Ledo's commander. Or at least his weapon unit. And me thinks...he is not going to accept Ledo's new stance on life. HMMMMM must kill all those who know the truth? Don't know if the man is still in the suit or the suit is acting on its own. All I know is Chamber sorta sucks, not picking up on this beforehand. Compared to the universe how easy would it be for him to pick up a signal on Earth.
