Harajuku Lovers Glamour Girls purse!

So yes folks. I am a liar. Woe is me. But I think I have an addiction to Harajuku Lovers purses/totes/SATCHELS!!! So when I said....last week no more Harajuku Loves purses for me for a while obviously I was on crack. Maybe I should stop making statements like that. XD

Photobucket

Who needs money anyway!! XD

But to be fair (or make excuses) I first saw this pattern back around Thanksgiving time. But since I had JUST bought a bag 30 minutes before I saw that pattern I really couldn't justify buying another bag. That and I had no money. So while this purchase was an MOG need it now kind of thing I had seen this pattern before and really liked it.

Not that is matters XD I has an addiction to cuteness obviously. But I am "winning" folks. My friend has bought 4 purses this month. XD Or maybe I am losing? Whatever the case is my friend and I are trying to help the economy by purchasing one bag at a time. XD Enjoy my crazy post folks! Who needs money anyway indeed. XD

Photobucket

Smallest bag I own so far. But usually the smaller the bag the easier it is to lose things inside said bag. Also I am not going to even justify this bag. It is just a purse. XD

Photobucket

On this bag there is a small front pocket on the front. Perfect for putting smaller items that you don't want banged around in the main bag. Plus it gives the bag a little dimension to the purse.

Photobucket

Inside the smaller pocket. As always Harajuku Lovers tries to make the inside as pretty as possible instead of just lining it with a pure black/plain theme.

Photobucket

Inside the main part of the bag. Slightly bigger than pictured here. But it can hold a decent amount of stuff. Perfect for a shopping trip, not so much a travel/day trip.

Photobucket

Trademark zipper charm here. Pretty sturdy even though you shouldn't be rough with your purse.

Photobucket

Purse strap. Now the only thing I don't like about this bag type is that you can't make the strap any bigger (or smaller). This truly is only a under the arm bag. Which is fine in a way since I don't have a purse like that. Now will this be easier or harder on my shoulders.....HMMMM.

Photobucket

Back of the bag. With this type of purse there isn't a lot of random cuts and stuff so the pattern was really prominent. That sounds kinda weird but some of the bags has little tucks and pockets everywhere that cut the girls all up XO.

Photobucket

Back of the purse. The girls look so classy and clean as well. I do love the Harajuku Lovers with their wild style and crazy colors. But I like this clean black, white, and red look. So simple and elegant.

Photobucket

Free purse charm. XD I already have the silver one though so it is staying in the bag for now. My friend has the worse luck with these bags and just got her first charm like this one last week. X__X And she has more bags than I do.

Photobucket

Final view of the new bag and charm. Kissing my money goodbye one bag at a time.

Harajuku Lovers Hobo Bag: Hot Stuff

I would like to start off with this post expressing condolences and support to Japan. The body count has risen and the threat of 4 (or 5, conflicting reports here) nuclear powers melting down increases each hour. My thoughts and prayers are being sent to Japan and all the people suffering during this disaster. So while I might blog happy little posts the tsunami of Japan is not far from my mind and I mean no disrespect.

That being said my post is influenced by Japanese culture. The Harajuku Lovers brand is of course based (loosely) on the fashionable Harajuku district in Tokyo. Each print has the 5 girls dressed in wild and different ways which is both fun for the collector and fun for the creator as more prints mean more revenue as crazy girls like myself see the new prints and MOG need them.

Photobucket

BEHOLD THE NEW BAG!!!!

Obviously I am not good at saving money folks. Earlier this week I went to Macy's website just to see what new prints were out. That gives me a good idea of what will come later on to the discount department stores. But when I saw this print I was like MUST HAVE NOW!! If the nearest Macy's wasn't 2 hours away I would have already purchased this print. But probably thankful one is not located near me and I thought okay I can save money easier.

Photobucket

Cue to the middle of the week and my friend (the one who got me started with this crazy hobby) calls me to inform me one of the discount department stores has this print but only in the bigger bag. Now I said if I was going to get another bag it would need to be a smaller type bag as I already have two totes and a bigger luggage type bag.

Photobucket

See this cute little kitten face? Obviously I couldn't wait to get this print, even if it was in a bigger size bag. I was going to call this a SATCHEL so I can make excuses on buying another bag. But apparently my husband is a bag expert or something and says satchels do not have zippers at the top. OKAY THEN! Hobo Bag it is!

Photobucket

Here is the picture of the non Satchel making zipper. Which also makes it different from a tote so yay. And yes folks I do have to reason with myself to justify purchases like this. XD I feel guilty spending money on bags when I have others I could be using. But....since I do not collect shoes everything is okay? Or it is my money and I am helping to stimulate the economy? Pick an option. Now on to the happiness!

Photobucket

What I like most about the bag is it goes back to the girls wearing their original perfume bottle outfits. But now they are cartoons. XD But yes the girls have many different outfits and hair changes and I still enjoy the original design. And Love is my favorite so I am glad she appears a lot of the bag and not cut off everywhere with seams and such.

Photobucket

Here is a view of the strap. It is kinda weird as it is thick. I wanted to wear it both ways, as a purse and as more of a messenger bag but with such a thick strap I am thinking it is supposed to be worn like a messenger bag.

Photobucket

Inside of the bag. After I removed the fluffy tissue paper crap the bag lost a LOT of its shape. It hangs a bit weird now and the pattern is hidden a bit when worn. But the inside of the bag is huge and unlike the totes there is a way to close the bag. So I can haul tons of crap and make sure it is safe and secure. Now it is time to train my shoulders to handle so much weight. XD

Photobucket

The free keychain with the bag woohoo!!! And it is in my favorite color too which is exciting. I know it is factored in with the cost of the bag but I pretend it is a cute little freebie.

Photobucket

So that is my new Harajuku Lovers purchase. The store I got the bag at only had two bags of this print so I couldn't afford to be cheap and wait for it to go on clearance. Get them while they are hot folks. Maybe this will be it for Harajuku Lovers purchases for a while as I need to save money for traveling and what not but I can't make any promises. Not with all the cute prints out there. XD

Harajuku Lovers Yum Yum Backpack and make-up bag: Rainbow Girls print

XO Well hello there folks! I hope that day three of your new year is going well. Mine was pretty special in some ways and nice in others. XO Everyone tipped me today so that is a miracle in itself.

Today I thought I would blog a bit about what I got for Christmas. Because everyone knows I don't have enough Harajuku Lovers merchandise. But this time I didn't buy...both of them. XD

Photobucket

Not one but TWO lovelies.

So here is a little post on how my house is slowly becoming a department store and how everyone I know is fully embracing my crazy. At least I don't buy mountains and mountains of shoes?

Photobucket

Starting off with the lovely make-up bag my mother got me. She was the one who informed me of a new spot to buy Harajuku Lovers merchandise. Even though my mom says I need to stop buying these things she is surely encouraging me. XD

Photobucket

Of course one would need to have make-up to put in a make-up bag yes? XD Of course I could always put regular bathroom stuff in it.

Photobucket

Not a huge size bag by any means though people. I don't see stuffing this baby to the brim with everything in my bathroom. But I think it can hold quite a few essentials.

Photobucket

View from the back. It's like all the girls are ghosts and their heads are bobbing back and forth. XD It's a pretty colorful bag despite the back ground being black.

Photobucket

No keychain with this bag though. My coin purse is smaller and came with one though so I wonder how they choose who gets a keychain or not.

Photobucket

But the backpack came with one. XD Look how cute she is! Of course I wish the keychains came in someone other than Gwen. But none the less she is cute and I guess if you make a brand you can plaster yourself all over everything.

Photobucket

Behold my new backpack! My husband is usually the one carrying around the backpack when we go places. Not sure how he will feel now that I am retiring the plain blue one. Perhaps the backpack will be on my back now?

Photobucket

The back of the backpack. It is not as big as a normal size adult backpack so once again there won't be any stuffing 549476 things in the bag. But I think it will hold a good amount. No throwing this baby around though.

Photobucket

Better view of the straps. Nice and comfy for holding all my souvenir needs.

Photobucket

Backpack straps. I love all the little details that the Harajuku Lovers brand places on everything. Addiction to cuteness indeed.

Photobucket

Inside the main opening. No school books for me. But if I were still in school I think this bag could hold about three high school books and their corresponding folders and such. Or maybe about 20 Hello Kitty plushies.

Photobucket

View of the front pocket. I love the separate little section within the front section. Perfect for hiding things that need hiding. Or for holding important papers/documents that need to be protected from everything else. The price on the bag was a little steep despite the awesome discount I got but I think it was well worth it. Or at least that is what I tell my husband once another Harajuku Lovers bag makes it into our house. XD

Harajuku Lovers Hot Stuff purse and random coin purse

Behold I am alive. I am surrounded by MOUNTAINS ya'll. Mountains. Like I look out the window and I see a huge giant rock in the close distance. Also you drive down the block and I see cacti. WTF cacti? Spelling is hard.

However the temperature is the same here as it is in Florida so that is always good. We are having a great time doing wedding stuff and eating like pigs.

Photobucket

A box of fun!

In between this all I did a little shopping. Because.....I totally rock at saving money. XD Enjoy.

Photobucket

See people, I didn't have a coin purse. So this was a necessary purchase!

Photobucket

Front side of the wallet. I like how they tried to position the girls so they take up most of the space.

Photobucket

Back of the wallet. Anyone have disco fever?

Photobucket

Woot a cute keychain!!! XD Finally I has one. Wonder if they will ever make cute keychains of the other girls.

Photobucket

And this is the reason why the coin purse was on sale. That tiny, tiny little hole. Whatever, I enjoy saving 13 dollars. XD

Photobucket

It came with STICKERS ya'll. I love stickers so much this was a nice surprise! Stickers for all!

Photobucket

Look a NORMAL size purse. All my other Harajuku Lovers bags so far have been totes. So really...this was necessary purchase yes?

Photobucket

And this is why my purse was on sale. The tiny little black mark on the the Gwen pin. Once again I say....okay I like saving over 25 dollars. XD

Photobucket

Back of the bag. The pins almost look real yes?

Photobucket

Not really a fan of the pink straps but I shall survive. But I do like how I can change how I can carry the purse. Or how I can hurt my shoulders less. XD

Photobucket

I like the real pins on there though. Almost like some free freebies for me. And I like free stuff.

Photobucket

So these are my treasures. This Ross had so much more Harajuku Lovers stuff than mine usually does, including the big perfume bottles for only $25 dollars. I am jealous. But I have been told there are TWO more Ross' within 5 miles of my friend's house...so maybe I will have more opportunities to put myself into debt. YAY spending money. XD

Harajuku Lovers Zoo Animals Candy Bag: Because one can never have too many bags!

Or can they? I guess since I am not one for shoes and fancy food/clothes don't impress me bags are the way to go. I am going to conveniently forget my expensive figurine and manga habit as that would disprove me point.

Photobucket

Who needs an iPhone anyway?!

But yes people. I now own three Harajuku Lovers totes. Because I am a greedy girl who needs to have more bags than actual stuff to carry around. But that's okay. Because I am going to classify this bag as luggage. And an adult needs luggage to get around in the world right? And look it doesn't have Hello Kitty on it like my mother fears I will one day own. So yes. Luggage people.

Post will be pretty image heavy. Unlike my poor wallet. See how well my money saving idea went? GO ME!

Photobucket

Let's start with the small details. This tote is actually more of a tote and a purse combined to make a luggage piece. At least that is what I think. Because I am a great at explaining things.

Photobucket

The second of the two front pockets. Not sure what I am going to put in there. Maybe spare batteries or something small to find. That way I am not digging around the entire purse looking for things.

Photobucket

Here is the free key chain on the side. I rather have the metal looking one but at least it is different than the one I already have right?

Photobucket

BEHOLD THE PRICE TAG!!! :( I really need to work on my impulse buying. I actually wanted to buy another bag but in purse size. So somehow I managed to walk away with one twice as big and twice the price. HOWEVER!!!! look how much I saved! Ross is so wonderful! Of course...my husband is all like well if you didn't buy it at all you would have all your money...

Photobucket

Quite spacious inside! There is also another opening on the bag so I can separate stuffs.

Photobucket

The zipper charms are so cute. I love the little details all over the bag.

Photobucket

This is how big the luggage strap is. See, luggage! A necessary purchase. The strap is pretty heavy, the metal is thick.

Photobucket

Here is the bag sans luggage strap. So it CAN double as a purse...a rather large tote purse. I am sure I will try it at least once. But it is kinda big. :( I wish to show it off and I can't do that if I only use it as luggage.

Photobucket

This is the back side of the tote. You can see more of the pattern this way as well as where the side pocket is. Zoo animals are too cute for words!

Photobucket

The only thing I wish the tote had more of was giraffes. I LOVE giraffes. But the way the bag was cut there aren't too many showing. This one is on the bottom. Thems the breaks when you buy at a discount store. I was lucky enough to see this print once at Ross who knows if they will have it again. So while I love this tote I wish there were more giraffes.

Photobucket

So that is my new luggage/tote/purse thing. Truly a necessary purchase yes? Okay probably not. But it made me happy. Put a dent in my AWA budget but....I think it was worth it. I need to get my stuff to AWA somehow right? XD So now...NO MORE PURSES! I have enough. Except if it is tiny every day purse. Err...yeah. XD Thanks for indulging in my greediness. Now I must got eat ramen noodles for a month.
