Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 7

Hello there my lovely readers. Are you all passed out from turkey and shopping? I am trying to gather up the strength to decorate my entire house for Christmas before my brother leaves for Japan. X___X So many trees folks, so many trees.

But is anything going to happen?
But before I set up my trees I figured HEY I have 5 (FIVE!!!) blog posts in various states of almost doneness. Maybe...maybe just maybe I should finish them up? I know crazy talk. So what is up first? Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 7. Spoilers for forgetting what happened in the actual episode.

Well she would have been a good character...:(
Episode Summary: Haru comes home from his date that never happened and Misawa tries to comfort him. Haru takes notice of a picture frame on the counter which brings back memories of that person, his Aunt who took him in at a young age. He continues to think of his Aunt school while taking a nap. Chizuru comes up to him while Asako spies. Chizuru talks about how she is trying hard like Haru said...but now she has more work to do. XD Haru mentions that he got rejected by Shizuku. Instead of taking that moment to hit on Haru Chizuru tells him not to give up on Shizuku. Asako appears and tells Haru to hurry up and tell Shizuku how he feels. Haru thinks she is dumb and walks away with his chicken. But as he walks he has more memories of his Aunt who has apparently passed on. One of her last words were hoping that Haru finds the right person for him. As Haru walks he sees Shizuku sleeping in a window sill. Haru wakes her up with the chicken and talks about some things his Aunt told him. He gets slightly sparkly and tells Shizuku how he feels again. She gets all nervous and reject hims which leads to Haru being...special. Haru decides that he doesn't want to follow his words of waiting for Shizuku and demands a date now. More exams come around and Shizuku is second again. She goes to cram school all pissed off but finds out that rich kid Kenji is sitting next to her in class. He teases her about Haru and she has more moments. Back at school the cultural festival is being planned and started. Shizuku is trying to study but that is interrupted when Haru decides to lick her. Shizuku gets upset about the touching and says that there have to be rules. Haru gets upset and breaks a lot of stuff in an effort to make a better cage for the chicken (in an effort to protect it from the cultural fair visitors). Asako smirks and says being touched by someone you hate is the worst ever and that is why Shizuku is mad. Haru freaks out and cries.

Listen to this good advice please.
Shizuku is walking around school when she sees Souhei with a group of people. She joins in and it turns out they are trying to make their own money from the festival. They come up with a game plan but need to get a good spot to sell their goods. That might be hard as they are 1st yearers. Shizuku and Haru go to the meeting as Chizuru is spineless. Their cool attitude seems to be working but Haru gets upset when Shizuku is manhandled. This leads to punches and a horrible room. Haru is pissed that Shizuku is pissed at him. Chizuru sits down with Haru and explains that Shizuku is just worried for him. Haru listens to her words which touches Chizuru. She in a round about way tells Haru she won't give up on him which goes over his head. It does not got over Chizuru's though who was listening in. Shizuku, Souhei, and Asako head off to get supplies for their class when they run into Kenji and his crew. Shizuku tries to just get her scores while Kenji talks about how it is fun hanging around people who aren't as smart as him. Shizuku sorta looks at him and they go outside to see the rest of the gang begging for tickets to the cultural fair. Shizuku then waits for Haru near his home to tell him there is no chance of them getting together. Haru says that is fine, that he will just have to work hard to change her mind. Haru goes to kiss her but stops, remembering Asako's words. Shizuku gets all embarrassed and runs off. Haru realizes that she was embarrassed and gets happy/embarrassed himself. He goes home and thinks that his love is still possible. THE END!

Nope. I have changed my mind. Changed it. I am a woman and that is my prerogative. You don’t even want to know how long it took me to spell that word close enough for spell check to say oh did you mean this? Like spellcheck is alive and judging me. Um it is your job to corrected misspelled words so stop acting so high and mighty!

Asako might be the normal one in the group. X____X
I think my point was all these characters are insane and do not properly represent high school kids. Way too much crazy up in here folks. But I might be a little crazy myself….you know. SO maybe that means I can better identify crazy? Yes we will go with that. Flip floppin typical teenagers or insane people on the verge of snapping? That being said I would fire everyone at my store and hirer these kids in a heart beat.
Photobucket
Thanks for your help....not.
I guess the craziest person in this episode is Chizuru. Mainly because of her name. I kid I kid. I think anyway. But she was so nice and perfect in this episode she can’t be true right? I think most of the kids say honest/truthful/necessary things but when Chizuru says it it makes more sense. Like oh now I get it. Yes all your words are lovely and made of common sense, we shall dedicated this library to you. For someone who has spent the better part of her high school career alone and said she is finding the courage to say the right things.
Photobucket
Just way too nice!!!
Oh and she still loves Haru. We knew that was going to happen which might make her insane since Haru is insane and who would want to love an insane person besides an insane person? But her feelings aren’t going away overnight. She might be still helping Haru understand what is going on around him but she has stated she won’t give up. Now…I might argue that she has to TRY to be able to give up but those are silly details that can’t be focused on. Besides if Shizuku is going to say she doesn’t love Haru Chizuru is free to do what she wants. Even though she will only end up making Chizuru jealous and get her together with Haru…..maybe Chizuru should do nothing.

Whoa a bit much there don't you think?
Oh it is school festival time folks! Slice of life requires that at least one school festival be shown throughout the series. If not there are heavy penalties folks! But there is a little twist this time. See we got some…..well normal kids. Who wants to raise all this money for the school (which I think helps fund trips but you know…) when you can skim a little off the top? Souhei is leading this amazing idea with Shizuku coming up with the good ideas and Haru (in theory) being the enforcer.

It wouldn’t be a school festival if there wasn’t some sorta of drama. I must be talking about Haru and his fortress of power for the chicken. Which is a rude little thing! Chizuru and Haru were trying to have a serious conversation and it was popping all over the place. Rude little chicken. It might be a dead little chicken though if it gets caught in the Shizuku barbed wired.
Photobucket
Bring it on!
Oh that wasn’t the drama? That must have been when the 1st yearers were trying to get a prime spot for the festival to make some money. We all must remember that being older than someone in Japan means that person is in power and the other must kiss their feet. Also the two years between 16 and 18….the most important ones ever juicers! I like that Haru and Shizuku were being all thug life. I disagree though that Haru ruined everything. Shizuku was pushed. He probably took it a little too far but….not really going to say he ruined everything. Those kinds of guys probably wouldn’t have listened anyway.

Girls are sometimes hard to get so don't blame yourself too too much.
Shizuku is still insisting she is not in love with Haru. That may or may not be annoying at this point. I guess this show has to go somewhere since confessions were made so soon! But we all know that Shizuku is just fooling herself and throwing herself into studying to make a point. Which is sad. She used to love studying and she should focus on her studies. But if that is all Shizuku is about she is boring. And she needs a better excuse. It’s okay to be number 2, especially when the boy you like is number one. No need to go all Special A on all.
Photobucket
Someone is emotionally challenged.
I guess…if Shizuku wanted to hurt herself and not be with Haru that would be fine. But since everything is out in the open she really is hurting Haru. She told him to do certain things and he is the kind of person who wants things to go that way. You said if I said I love you we could be together. Well he does that/realizes that and like a kid loses his mind when it doesn’t go his way. Which is not right either but Shizuku…not that she is responsible for Haru’s behavior. He is. She is not to blame. But she is hurting and toying with him as she is unhonest with herself. That is a word folks, unhonest.
Photobucket
Passed out from studying too much.
And really folks, really. I am about to burn all of Shizuku’s books. STOP STUDYING ALL THE TIME! I know it is important but I am sure you can get a great job/school with the top 10 percent of the class grades. Plus…have you not experienced your own sadness or seen your dad’s sadness because your mom works all the time? Got to live a little too. I don’t think merely tolerating people counts as living. I do like that she sets firm rules when Haru does get out of bounds but then it is back to studying. And being pecked by a chicken.
Photobucket
Not the way to win a girl's heart at all.
Haru was a little all over the place this episode too. He lacks self awareness sometimes so it is sad to see Chizuru suffering because Haru is sparkling all over her. Sometimes Haru says really truthful things to Shizuku and she needs to be called out on things. And when he is overcome with emotion or love it melts the heart of even the Grinch. Not sure why the mention of people running away from Haru as I thought that had changed…
Photobucket
Why are you licking people?!?!?
But then Haru does stupid things. Like why are you randomly licking people. Why are boys putting their body parts on the body parts of girls. We don’t want your cooties! Maybe hitting the upperclassmate did take it a bit far. Stand up for Shizuku in a slightly less aggressive way. And while it is nice that you like Shizuku perhaps talking about what you want to do with her is a bit much. He was double talking himself a lot there….and scaring me. Can I just throw in the fact that Taylor Swift is an asshole for complaining about having to buy new clothes all the time? ASSHOLE!
Photobucket
Wait why are we important again?
So where was I? Pointless things about this episode you say? Well Haru remembering “that dead person” was pretty pointless. Or heartless. Clearly that woman did a lot of good in Haru’s life or at least tried to and Haru brushed it aside so casually. I mean…at least he isn’t pretending someone else is his dead aunt but a little sadness would be nice. Kenji was a little pointless too. I mean maybe he and his band of merry men will become important later but we are already on episode 7 folks. They are just sprinkled here and there, nothing really sticking.
Photobucket
Don't hurt my friend!
Haru and Shizuku are still a hot mess. I love you, I don’t love you. Well that is okay you will love me one day. We almost kiss. Oh look Asako is passed out on the ground because she is trying so hard to get us together. Was it just me or did Asako sound a little in love with Shizuku herself?
Photobucket
Just.....so romantic.
I feel as if I am missing some points. But….I might be tired. And for some reason super mad at Taylor Swift. Takes the heat off my co-workers for five seconds I guess. Until next time where Shizuku realizes she loves Haru but he moves on to Chizuru who feels bad about the situation weee!
