Sword Art Online episode 19

Hello there my lovely readers!!! Um....not much going on here I suppose. I think anyway. But ask me again in 2 hours and I am sure it will be World War 4 all over again. I needs to grab me a helmet folks and take cover.

Or maybe I can recruit Kirito to rescue me? I don't know if that will work because I am married and he only wants to save single ladies yes? XD But yes up now is Sword Art Online episode 19. Spoilers for Kirito RARWING all over the place.

What do you mean my race sucks?

Episode Summary: After concluding that they are not being followed Kirito and Lyfa continue on their way. Kirito tries his hand at his race’s magic and Lyfa giggles on how limited the issues are. Kirito complains that he should have to learn English to play a Japanese online game. Lyfa talks more about how amazing her race is and how Kirito really picked wrong. Yui alerts that there are players approaching the area so Lyfa uses her amazing magic to trap them “in a wall”. They intend to hide until the players pass but Kirito sees the bat spying on them again and decides it is real this time. Lyfa freaks out and uses her magic to kill it. She then tells Kirito that hiding will do them no good and they need to run. Their best bet is to make it to the next town by bridge as the water has high level monsters in it. They almost make it when a magical ground wall blocks them. Lyfa realizes it is the Salamander race chasing them and things are bad. She figures the best bet is for them to just die and start again later, especially when the Salamander’s take such a defensive pose. Kirito is like just sit back and heal me because I am the best player at any game ever. Well the Salamander’s have that plan too and are able to deal damage on the side. Lyfa realizes they are not going to win this way and tries to tell Kirito to stop his hacking away. Yui appears and tells Lyfa to use all her magic to protect Kirito just once. She has just whispered to Kirito to use his illusion magic to turn into a huge monster. Everyone screams it is not real but one Salamander gets spooked and breaks formation. Kirito is able to start tearing away at people in amazing brutal ways. The leader of this group throws himself in the river to avoid Kirito. Lyfa stops Kirito from killing the last Salamander so they can pump him for information. Kirito is able to bribe what little information Salamander dude has to say. While this group was ordered to hunt down Lyfa a much larger group was moving somewhere else. Yet Salamander dude doesn’t think they are making a break for the Tree yet as his race was gathering tons of money to buy a special item.

I got this little lady. Don't go worrying your pretty little head about these big bad men.

Lyfa and Kirito finally make it to town and Kirito reminds Lyfa that her friend Recon was messaging her while they were in the cave. She tells Yui to guard her body as Kirito just got done telling interesting stories about what people taste like. In the real world Suguha calls her friend Nagata who is freaking out. He decided to go invisible and follow Sigurd all day. He found out that Sigurd is working with the Salamanders. Before Recon could find more out he was discovered and his body is currently poisoned and paralyzed in the game. Suguha figures out what all of this means. The leader of her race is going to meet with the leader of the Cait Siths and for whatever reason Sigurd wants to turn on everyone and work with the Salamanders instead. So Sigurd was trying to get rid of Lyfa so he could better destroy this alliance. Lyfa pops back in the game and tells Kirito she can’t take him any further, that she has something important to do. She explains the basic details and that it would be better for Kirito in the long run to be with the Salamanders as they might make it to the Tree first and Kirito’s race would be accepted by them. Kirito says that this is not a game for him, as your choices reflect who you are as a person no matter if it is virtual or real. So Kirito is going to stick with Lyfa. Kirito and his magical speed skills run them out of the cave so they can reach the alliance area faster. THE END!

Can I get a translation?! XD Instead of a witness I need a translation. And maybe a mood transplant. I think I need one of those most actually. I am running out of things to wash and clean!

But yes folks. Can we get a translation?! When Kirito started chanting his spells I thought I heard the word light but the rest didn’t make sense to me. So I thought oh he was speaking Japanese with English words thrown in…like usual. XD But then they were talking about how ALL the words were Japanese and that the longer spells were the most powerful ones. What the hell?! XD I know these are middle schoolers (well I am not sure what Kirito considers himself) and I can’t even speak a second language now. I don’t know, maybe Kirito was freaking out just enough and Lyfa was acting like a know it all. Then when she spoke I didn’t understand a word she said. XD Goober.

Just good for one thing okay. Just one thing!

I wonder how much of what Lyfa was saying was true about Kirito’s race. I mean…obviously she would want to promote her race more and talk about how great they are. But she seems very knowledgeable about the other races so maybe she knows what she is talking about? I don’t know. Kirito really didn’t research the game before picking a character. More like OH that looks like me click! Surely Kirito race must have some amazing powers right? Because all that I see is Kirito having his skill set at max because of Sword Art Online. Oh and because people got scared of something that wasn’t real. Poor Kirito’s race. Are we not going to see any other people from his race? Probably not…so I will have nothing to compare it to.

Yui is a great little alarm. Actually without Yui would Kirito be a great player in this game? I am sure he would think so. Like yeah Dad remember when you thought things were following you. Well they are. And then Yui came up with the idea on how to meet the Salamanders. Come on Lyfa. You have played this game for a while, why can’t you think of something? True a bit of anime magic happened. Or maybe there are special people everywhere. Yui had no way of knowing her brilliant plan was going to work but at least she had one. Kirito plowing into people wasn’t exactly working.

Behold I might be awesome!

Not that I am totally knocking Lyfa and Kirito. Even if it sounds like I am. Their abilities have to count for something. Even if Kirito just started playing like 3 minutes ago. Lyfa has some pretty powerful magics and knows about the social dynamics of the game. Maybe she has had enough battles under her belt to know that this was a pretty lose/lose situation and dying might be the fastest/less expensive option. And maybe Kirito has earned some of his….anime magic after being stuck in a game for 2 whole years. Perhaps if the Asuna wedding was more than a week away there would be more time for Kirito to learn about the game. Probably should blame that right?

Should have stuck with this plan.

Those Salamanders were pretty stupid though right? I mean they had a good game plan going into the attack even if it was slightly over dramatic. Is Lyfa the best member of their race after their leader? A lot of focus was spent trying to take her out. I mean that would make sense why Sigurd was so over the top when Lyfa left the party for a hot minute. Maybe he was trying to poison everyone’s mind against her so if she tried to tell the truth no one would believe her. But the 9 men that did go to destroy Lyfa had a solid plan. But maybe they should have sent the A-Team instead of some people who were misled by magic.

Needs A-1 Sauce.

Which was hilarious by the way. Kirito is usually the one with the sleek sword and calm demeanor and he was munchin on people and talking about how it tasted after the fact. XD Of course it could have used more violence. Like Blood-C type of violence. Because that is how I roll folks. But yeah it was fun watching Kirito be all insane and animalistic. Then Lyfa asks how it was and he playfully nibbles on her fingers? Kirito clearly has lost his little mind.

So after all that special Suguha has to call her Recon friend for the skinny. Everything is happening so fast in this show it is sorta hurting my head. Recon spent the WHOLE DAY following Sigurd even though it has only been a few hours. And I am pretty sure real time and game time are the same thing. Either way these people need to put more points into being sneaky or hearing out sneaky people. XD Meeting in sewers indeed. I wonder why Sigurd would turn on his entire race to make an alliance with someone else. I mean…only one race can reach the top and claim the prize. So either way why would it matter who it was with? Maybe we will find out soon.

Attack of the honest people!

Lyfa was pretty honest with Kirito so I have to respect that. Again I am not sure why the Salamanders are closer to reaching the top than everyone else but at least Lyfa was trying to explain it in an honest way since Kirito is not interested in flying, just reaching the top. Yay for being honest when you are in a life-long/minute-long friendship. And Kirito was honest too. Sometimes he says things that are eyeballing rolling worthy but this time I think it makes sense. Just because it is a game doesn’t mean you can go ahead and do what you want. You are still you. And while the point of this game might be to….well pit people against each other there is no reason to be a douchebag and undermine other people’s good time. So yay for tons of honesty and Kirito taking a side trip from rescuing Asuna.

So….is that about it for this episode? I think it is. Kirito needs to stop eating people and the Salamanders need to get their act together. I doubt they will though unless this show has a second season. XD Because we got to beat these folks and meet the other races so we can rescue Asuna from the most amazing wedding…never. WOOHOO!
