Psycho-Pass episode 3

I am in such a blogging mood but there is nothing on TV. XO How am I supposed to stay productive if there are no silly housewives to make fun of or no bad movies to laugh at? It is like they want me to fail. XD

Are you dumb?
But look 4 posts in one "day". Remembers days are from the time a person wakes up until they decide to go to bed before the next day. XD That way I can feel more productive. Up now is Psycho-Pass episode 3. Spoilers for this society being SO AMAZING!

Oh...there was a random Shinya working out scene too.
Episode Summary: Akane and Ginoza are traveling along to a factory where a dead body was discovered. This factory is in charge of making droids and the only part of the factory that has any human personal is the part that tests the droids. 3 deaths have occurred in the last year and now the CID is on the scene to see what is up. All the Enforcers arrive at the factory ready to work and Akane tells Ginoza she will do her best to work with the Enforcers. Ginoza reminds her not to be a fool and they work for her. They begin their investigation by talking to the person in charge Goda. Goda explains that this factory is cut off from Sybil network to keep out hackers. This means that all the workers are cut off from the network since they work round the clock/live there. Akane and Shusei question how hue’s can remain clear without any form of distraction but Goda shows them data that everything is on the up and up. They also watch a video of the dude getting hacked to pieces and Goda declares it an accident. Ginoza tells Akane to send the file to Shion as she is already looking over the drone. While walking these things outside Shusei and Akane talks about how the government runs the factory and that is why things might be kept under wraps. The Inspectors and Enforcers eat a meal at the factory and watch one worker get picked on by other co-workers. Everyone expresses their distaste for the situation and Shinya even helps the picked on dude Yuji out. Goda explains that with no outside force someone has to take the roll of bullied so everyone can get their aggressions out. Once that person’s hue gets clouded the bullied is sent to another part of the factory and a new victim is chosen. Akane is like what the hell and Goda says maybe this is just Sybil’s plan for Yuji. Ginoza asks Goda to gather everyone outside so they can use the Dominators on everyone to quickly find the suspect. Goda says it was an accident and he will not halt production without some higher up people giving the okay.

Girl you is really dumb.
Tomomi gathers everyone together to explain what he thinks is happening. Goda was correct in saying that people with clouded hues were switched around but for the last year Yuji has been the victim and not been switched. And that every time someone died Yuji hue became less clouded. Thus all the Enforcers think it is Yuji. Ginoza gets bonkers crazy, saying that the Enforcers are evil and he isn’t going to do anything without cold hard facts. Akane takes Ginoza into the hall and says she thinks the Enforcers are right. She wants to know why Ginoza has a problem with Tomomi which gets her a glare and the go ahead to make a huge mistake. Outside the Enforcers are getting tons of cables ready and Akane asks them why Ginoza has a problem with Tomomi. Everyone is like did you really ask him that and Akane is confused. Akane confirms with Shinya that he is only going to talk to Yuji. He says yes….and proceeds to throw Yuji out of his room and accuse him of being the killer, taking out all the people who bullied him. Shinya says he is going to post all over the place what Yuji did and that he has to go outside to do so. Akane walks with Shinya and is like what the hell?! He explains if Yuji is innocent they will leave with no problem and if Yuji is dangerous well they are in trouble. Turns out that Yuji is the killer and has programed a droid to kill Shinya. Shinya and Akane run all around the factory as Yuji chases them. Eventually they reach the bottom floor and look cornered. Shusei and Yayoi rush in their little vehicle and throw Shinya a Dominator. It is hooked up by cables to Sybil and Shinya paralyzes Yuji and destroys the droids. Akane is like…Shinya told me he wanted to be an investigator but the look in his eyes made him look like a killer, enjoying the hunt. THE END!

Screw the dead people!
Well then folks…at least I was so behind on this series I can just watch a bunch of episodes at once? Just bam bam bam. Getting things done and getting a lot of the backstory planted in my head so I can understand things better.
Photobucket
This would be the real police state folks.
No matter how bad things are/what people perceive to be bad are in the United States….it is not nearly as bad as how things are in Psycho-Pass. My lord folks. Each week things just get worse and worse. This society looks so slick and perfect but things are showing their ugly side. A high price to pay for things appearing to be perfect. So I will take this show as a warning, that things could be much worse. Maybe the message to the people in Japan is toe the line now or we will make the most awesome guns ever and blow your brains off.

What a wonderful sounding job.
So it seems my question from last episode has been answered this episode. Well not really but partly anyway. We saw people WORKING! I am just going to guess that this job is not one people dream of. That is very, very low on the scale of jobs. I believe that Akane scored a 500 on her final exams? Well this job looked like a 100 point kinda deal. Which is sad because I am sure working on these droids is hard work without factoring in living at the facility and working long hours. Those machines are what keeps order in their society thus the utmost care should taken in dealing with them. Sorta like how teachers are responsible for the future of the world yet are not paid to reflect that. I am sure this kind of job gets a bad rap but it is very important and probably has complex parts to it. So….I don’t mean disrespect to these workers and it is sad they have been trapped into this job.
Photobucket
Clearly they must be going crazy right?
I was wondering along with Akane how they hue colors remained so clear given the conditions. Murder is never the answer but in a society where things are so tight and rigid I would expect people to have a high stress level. I am sure these workers grew up in the system age so they know about all they are missing. While I think the entire system is horrible and confining they probably miss all those luxuries. Sorta like if I went to work tomorrow and stole all my co-worker’s cellphones. Their under 21 year old minds would explode and there would be weeping and gnashing of teeth in the streets. So these workers have been given a pretty low job in society and then cut off from said society. I was really shocked that there weren’t more incidents. It was almost like a prison full of men without Daryl to stab them in the head.
Photobucket
So....its elementary school?
So when Akane and the others found out one of the releases of stress….at first I was like oh…I guess that makes sense. But really after thinking about it picking on ONE person or watching one person get picked out wouldn’t relieve that much stress. Working on those droids and making sure everything was perfect for those on the outside…no, that wouldn’t be enough. But putting that all aside WHAT THE HELL?! I know it was only a few guys (now) picking on Yuji but everyone stood by and watched. Because it was the unspoken system. If anyone spoke up and helped Yuji they might be targeted themselves. So Yuji suffered in silent because if he didn’t suffer everyone would suffer more. Then my mind wandered to scary shows about kids having sex and wondered if people were relieving stress in that way as well.
Photobucket
And what are you helpful at?
Goda was pretty slimy even without that bullying issue. He was pretty awful about that right? Just casually talked about Yuji suffering like it meant nothing. That maybe Sybil gave him that job to be the bullied person. Also makes me wonder if Sybil knew about Akane’s desire to know more about the truth. But yes Goda. He was very hush hush about the death like he had something to do with it. Turns out he really…didn’t. But the way he was acting made me think it was him all along. I am not sure if it is laziness on his part but keeping Yuji in that position for over a year is what caused Yuji’s hue to change colors. So technically Goda is responsible. Too bad Yuji didn’t get Goda instead.
Photobucket
:( Stuck in such a position and everyone knowing it....just way sad.
How do I feel about Yuji as a person? Well…..clearly he was bullied. It really touched me when Shinya was nice to him and I am sure it touched Yuji. It must have been hard on Yuji knowing that he was the selected to be the bullied one. But he knew how the system worked and I am sure he was waiting and waiting to be transferred. When it never came Yuji snapped. While he should not have killed those men he was used by the system and this was the obvious results.

How can you see with all that hair in the way?
Ginoza was a bit of a jerk this episode yes? He has been at this job longer and I think Akane talking to him like that was out of line. But it appears that the Enforcers have been around the block for a while too. Tomomi had some pretty circumstantial evidence but it made sense. Given how much of a pain xxx was being Tomomi was just limiting down the pool in a logical manner. Clearly there is some past issues with Ginoza and Tomomi, like maybe Tomomi is his dad or killed his dad. But yeah…Akane is a newbie who needs help but Ginoza seems a bit unstable to be judging others that are unstable.
Photobucket
Look I am talking to them before I shoot. See, change?
It is nice to see that Shinya didn’t change overnight. Because that was really bothering me people how Akane marched in and he turned into a sparkle bunny. Akane might believe in things that Shinya wants to believe but you can’t change someone overnight. Shinya was nice to Yuji at first which was the right thing to do. He was a little rough with Yuji in accusing him of being the killer. After seeing what happened to the hostage in episode 1 putting an innocent person in a stressful situation would make them into a latent criminal. Turns out that Shinya was right and his unnecessary roughness was necessary. Akane just thought the sparkles had worked and isn’t used to such…..violence and explosions in getting the job done.
Photobucket
You mean you can't change people overnight? SHOCKED!
So….Ginoza is a jerk, Akane has rose colored glasses on, and this latent criminals are probably the only ones keeping this system in check. Oh and the gun labels anything as hostile, even other machines. Amazing.

I posted but I don't see my comment, let me know if I need to repost or if it is still being moderated. I don't want to double post. :(

Anonymous- I am a bad blogger so sorry I got back to you so late. If you are anonymous one and two. I don't moderate comments so post at will. Unless Blogger deletes them in which it is not my fault.

I actually like his way of dealing with things. Of course it was highly illegal and probably could have made that dude go criminal even if he wasn't guilty but....um....it showed growth. The tiniest bit of growth but I sensed some.

Found your comment!

I get the feeling Kyuubey could have cleaned up if he had handed out grief seeds in this dimension.

And Akane is a lot like Madoka, not quite naive but certainly idealistic. I feel like later in the series she may have her grief seed corrupted, or she may save Shinya thru her optimism the way Madoka saved all those magical girls. After Ep.4, I also get the feeling that Akane may die. It's not a spoiler b/c it's not based on anything other than the fact that Shinya's and Shougo's face-to-face confrontation is where this story is heading. Akane's death could be a catalyst.

But I kind of hope she doesn't die.

--Kate

I don't think that is spoilery but probably good thinking. Akane is way too idealistic. Which will be needed to destroy this system but will probably result in some deaths along the way. Akane will probably throw herself in the way of a bullet and die. She will whisper something to Shinya and he will lose his mind trying to kill her killer. Then in the end he will realize it is the system that is flawed and go after the computer instead.

Or Akane will live because anime magic states girls who see the positive in everything and want everyone to be happy can't die. XD
