Noragami episode 6

Spoiler alert: These cookies do not get eaten. :(

I forgot how to add. Or keep track of numbers. I had a rather trying day at work so you probably should give me some slack or laugh at me. Post number...5 I think? Anyone yay anime and yay almost sleep time. Up now is Noragami episode 6 time. Spoilers for Yuki trying to break the brat barrier or something.

Decisions decisions.....surely I will make the bad one!

Episode Summary: Yuki is having a fitful night sleep. He isn't with Hiyori and he is in the dark. All the while he is thinking how Yato forced him to kill the little girl and how he was helpless to stop Yato from...”freeing her”. He doesn't feel any better the next day. Hiyori grows worried about him and attempts to give him some cookies. Only Yuki remembers the girl when he sees the cookies and drops them, running from the house. He is just overwhelmed by everything. Mad at Hikari for scolding him and Yato for...well probably everything. Also Yuki may or may not be jealous that Yato has another treasure (Nora). Yuki makes his back to the skateboard shop and grows angry. He has a fit but realizes the shopkeeper doesn't see him. Putting aside his problems Yuki decides he can do whatever he wants and steals the board. He runs off and skates away. Elsewhere Yato grabs his neck, aware that Yuki has sinned. His skin is looking...mighty gross. Also elsewhere but a different elsewhere Hiyori is running all over the place looking for Yuki. She eventually runs into her friends who tell her to go home and study since she is always falling asleep in class (aka losing her body). She tries to put all that aside and explains she is looking for a young man (Yuki). Her friends assume she has a boyfriend and start teasing her. Hiyori blushes because she thinks of Yato. Later she decides she wants to introduce said friends to Yato. She runs off and Yuki skates on. His moment of I can do anything is interrupted by Yato stopping his skateboard. Yuki goes to yell and Yato asks where Yuki got the board. The little sword lies, saying Hiyori bought it for him. At that moment Hiyori spots the boy and is happy they were together this whole time....Yato point blank asks if Hiyori bought the skateboard. She looks dumb for a second too long then she says she did, afraid Yato will do something bad to Yuki. Yuki is touched by this lie. Yato is like oh I see. Then Yato pushes Hiyori and Yuki out of the way as the skateboard is blown to bits by the lady flying on the lion.

Stop sinning before I kick your ass!

The skateboard murderer is named Bishamon and she has come to rid the world of Yato. Yato tells Hiyori to stay back, so she won't be associated with him. Yuki freaks out as Yato turns him into a sword an starts fighting the god. Shouldn't she be on our side Yato?! Yato is like...no hommie doesn't like me. This god Bishamon has a ton of treasure weapons. A ton. Like almost everything on her is a treasure weapon, including said lion. Her main one seems to be a...visor type deal that can analyze battle situations and stuff. Thus she is a tough god of war to fight. Yuki is really not feeling this battle and his doubts cause Yato more and more pings on his neck. This causes Yato to do poorly in battle. Bishamon uses another weapon, a whip, to...well whip Yato all around. Yato almost injuries that weapon and Bishamon freaks out. Yato and now human Yuki manage to escape into the nearby woods for a little while. Hiyori ran to Kofuku's temple as Yato told her once if anything happened to him go to them. Kofuku finds that interesting and Hiyori is like Bishamon one of the great gods is attacking him. Daikoku basically suggests that Hiyori doesn't know the whole history and shouldn't get involved/ask them to get involved. That they meant it when they said that Yato was a violent god, highly suggesting that Yato killed Bishamon's treasure weapon. Hiyori quickly thinks this over but still wants these two to help rescue Yato. Back in the woods Yato is pretty pissed that Yuki won't stop acting scared. He needs to get it together or Yato won't be able to fight. Yuki starts to put the pieces of the puzzle together, that his inability to fight is making Yato weaker when Bishamon and her unstable self break through the woods, killing half the trees. They battle some more and it is clear that Yuki isn't really trying all that hard and is scared. Before Yato can become toast Kofuku appears and uses Daikoku in fan form to blow the two fighting gods away from each other. This also...creates a rift between worlds and Phantoms start pouring out. Yato yells at Kofuku while Bishamon's main treasure sees....Nora in the woods, acting creepy. He tells Bishamon that they should go. Bishamon eventually decides she respects Kofuku too much and will kill Yato next time. Yato is like why did you bring them here Hiyori and she is like I saved your life punk!!! Later that night Hiyori eats with her parents and thinks about all that has happened that day. Yato is busy at a temple, trying to rid himself of his blight and thinking that he and Yuki might not work out. THE END!

Yeah how is that going for you kid?

Well that escalated rather fast. Super fast. I thought we were going to get another....well silly episode before things got serious. I guess they weren't 100 percent serious...especially after Kofuku got involved. Still...I guess this show is moving right along and time to mean business. Some business. Not the business of Yato making 5 yen a day business.

Sad and traumatized I suppose.

Yuki....just sad. I know I said he was a brat last episode. But I think all kids are brats. Like their basic baseline is brat and they can work their way up and down the system. This applies more heavily to teenagers. O Yuki can be a brat and I can feel sorry for him. :( Yes stealing is wrong and he shouldn't have gotten so angry at Hiyori when she didn't support his stealing. But now he is so upset about the little girl. He probably thinks he is to blame for sending her over to the shadows when in reality she was probably too far gone. He blames Yato for using him without permission but knows this is technically the gig he signed up for. I think he knows what he did to Hiyori was wrong but just can't face her. So it's alone time in a room that isn't his, away from his Master that he hates, in a house with a girl he “likes” but doesn't even know his name. Yeah cookies were not going to solve much.

How dare you not support my life of crime!

….Poor, poor cookies. Now that I think about it cookies are a sign of hey things can suck but I thought enough of you to make you some yums. Enjoy. But Yuki took one look at those cookies and bolted. Like no feelings!!! He is going through a lot and was just tossed into this crappy life with Yato. I can see him wanting to rebel. Especially after going back to the shop with the skateboards and causing a scene. Like hello I am throwing a fit, pay attention to me. I think that is upsetting to him even though he pretended to be okay with it. Like well now I can steal this skateboard due to no one giving a care about me. Hiding his pain. That and the fact that Yato has another treasure out there, “Nora” and Yuki just needed to get away. Even if his skateboarding lasted only like 5 seconds.

Because boys and girls can't be friends. Ever. They must be in love.

So while Yuki was having fun/pretending not to be miserable Hiyori went looking for him. Mainly because she cares for Yuki. Partly because Yato going the I told you so dance is so annoying. Otherwise she would have left him with Yato. Well not now since Yuki's mad at Yato. Awkward. Now....Hiyori must be a nice person. Or she is rationalizing in her head that Yato needs Yuki to help fix her. Because she is risking a lot by associating with them. Still she looks for Yuki. Even asks her friend that she never sees anymore for help. That's what they get for not being magical or supernatural. At least they still care. That's how girls show they care, by teasing a friend about a boy said friend likes. Without ever meeting him or anything. Here Hiyori is on a mission to find Yuki and her friends are playing cupid. All Hiyori can think about is Yato at that moment. Of course she likes him. And really she must be in too deep if she is thinking about introducing her friends to Yato and Yuki. Like um...he is a god and he needs to fix you. That's it.

Err....the skateboard fairy?

Of course that's not it. Obviously. Hiyori is involved and these are her friends. So she is chasing down Yuki. Meanwhile Yato and his pings have come up to Yuki's whereabouts. Yuki is just lalalaing on the board when Yato nearly trips him. Gets all up in his face. I guess that Yato could have been a little more upset. Actually if Yato just opened his mouth and communicated what was going on his life would go smoother. Or people wouldn't be upset with him. Tell them why you sleep near temples. Tell Yuki his “sins” are causing blight on his body. At first Yato was making it sound like little pings. But now we can see that he really is getting hurt. Tell Yuki he needs to stop. Well really sinning. I don't think dreaming about Hiyori or being scared in battle is worthy of ping.

Hiyori is the skateboard fairy?!

So while Yato was not yelling at Yuki in a way that was understandable Hiyori runs up...completely misreading the situation. Sorta. She thought Yuki was with Yato the whole time thus safe. Or maybe she knows enough not to pry. She did realize that Yuki was a little thief and said nothing. No I take back. She did say something. She lied. Covered for Yuki. Yes I bought that for him. She either doesn't want the two fighting or she wants to protect Yuki from....being divinely punished by Yato. Either way Yuki was all...I love you even more now!!! But this might create some problems with her and Yato. Yato knows Yuki stole thus Hiyori lied. So...Hiyori's loyalties might lie with Yuki or Yato might think this an interesting quality. Either way I expect there to be drama.

Okay maybe Yato didn't move Hiyori but he sure did protect Yuki.

Yato, Hiyori, and Yuki might all have issues but Yato did make sure they were...well not blown to pieces. Protected. And Yato did his best to make sure Hiyori wasn't involved. I think if he could Yato would have tried to not involve Yuki but yes Yato sorta needs a weapon. So while the issue has nothing to do with Yuki or Hiyori....only Hiyori could be spared. Yuki is just....collateral damage and I think Yato acknowledges it is unfair. Also Hiyori just got her happy self involved anyway so...does it even matter? X_x

What a tricked out little treasure.

So what is going on with this attack? Why is this Bishamon attacking Yato? It was never fully stated why but greatly implied. Hiyori is a good guesser. But Yato must have killed Bishamon's treasure. Back in his being paid to be evil days. The one whole treasure he has killed and it's one that belonged to the greatest war god in Japan. Someone really must have pissed Bishamon off. Or been pissed off at her. I am assuming Yato was paid to kill this treasure. I guess that Yato could have done it on his own but for now this is what I am assuming. Maybe Bishamon doesn't know this or maybe she doesn't care. Yato killed her treasure so he needs to die. Given her rage I can see her killing Yuki in front of Yato for revenge. But that would make her a hypocrite.....Not that that matters when it comes to revenge.

So close to the truth Yuki. I would give you cookies but....

Yuki is really not down for this fight. Clearly. But even if he was I don't think Yato would have had a chance. Even if Yuki is this special treasure who can do anything without much effort or experience. Bishamon is like a tricked out car. Pimp my god. I guess Tenjin had a lot of treasure weapons too....5 from what we saw. Maybe it just looks like Bishamon has a lot. But I think it was excessive. Must be a lot to lost souls out there. Overkill anyway. Bishamon means business. Serious business. She probably should have done much better in battle now that I think about it. Even Yuki being amazing is no match for that many experienced treasures. I wonder if it is dependent on the soul itself what shape it takes. Bishamon's main treasure seems....pretty specific and helpful. I think she should have won. Maybe her anger got the better of her and that is why she lost. Well temporarily anyway.

Are you telling me not to get involved because I don't know everything? Okay....so go help him anyway!

Into the woods Yuki and Yato go. While they were running for their lives Hiyori ran home and hid under the bed. Or...you know she got herself more involved than necessary. Going against what Yato told her. Because despite Yato being maybe upset that Hiyori lied to him Yato wanted to protect her. Hiyori misunderstood what Yato said or what I think Yato meant to say. If something happens to him, she needs to go to Daikoku and Kofuku. For HER protection. For her to get cured. Not to get him help. Or at least that is what I thought. That isn't what Hiyori thought though. Onward to rescuing Yato.

Um Yato is against a god with tons of treasures and all Yato has is a very upset Yuki. He needs some rescuing.

Only Daikoku and Kofuku were not in on this rescue plan. Like um no this doesn't involve us, we have no reason to help him. But aren't you friends with him? Apparently not. Bishamon has issues with Yato so let them fight it out. After all dear Hiyori....we said Yato was bad. A dangerous god. Implying that Bishamon's treasure was the one killed. This made Hiyori stop and think for a bit. She is worried about Yuki's being divinely punished. But in the end Hiyori wants to save Yato surely he can't be that bad.

EFF YOU JACKET!

And then we are back in the woods. Yato and Yuki were taking a break while Bishamon was...well destroying things. Guess she is not a god of nature or anything. During this lull in fighting Yato was yelling at Yuki to shape up and stop being scared. Only again his explanations weren't....well helpful. Also again I don't think Yuki being scared is really a sin and it shouldn't hurt Yato. That is a normal reaction to the situation. Still it counts and when Bishamon reappears after taking out half the woods it is battle time again. Poor trees. I think Yato was just defending himself but him attacking the whip treasure put Bishamon back into that rage place and whoosh her common sense went.

This was Kofuku's way of helping. Go her.

I am not sure why Nora popped up during battle. Bishamon's main treasure (the visor one) did see her and it was a moment. I am not sure if the moment was MOG you are the dead treasure, how can you be here?! or if the moment was like...um who are you? Because if Nora isn't dead then Lucy gots some esplainin to do...Maybe their forms can change, in weapon form and people form? I don't know. The point is Bishamon showed up again to kick Yato's ass and Yuki was once again forced into battle. I guess the blight/pangs are from resistance now that I think about it. Yuki going against the contract. But yeah they fought for a little while and Kofuku did show up.....eventually. To save the day....sorta. This is where the comedy set it. Kofuku's way of stopping the battle was to use Daikoku, now a fan, to blow Yato and Bishamon apart. Oh and to cause a rip between this world and the Far Shore. Come Phantoms. Enter the world for I have now stopped the battle. No one made a move to stop said hole and no one....really cared. Yato yelled a bit but that was more to make fun of Kofuku for being stupid. The battle did stop because Bishamon has respect or is under Kofuku and will let Yato die next time. So lovely. Now how about them Phantoms?

Oh great now Nora the crazy is here.

Is that the end of this show? Hiyori's parents were joking about there being no more forest. Well I guess they weren't joking. Just we the viewers know what really happened. Hiyori is still confused about Yato. Nora is in the woods probably being creepy and ominous. Oh and Yato. Yeah what is that guy up to now? Well he is trying to cleanse the blight mark on his neck and it's not working. Maybe the water isn't blessed enough. Or maybe it is continuous. Like Yuki hasn't stopped thinking this...awfulness yet and it won't go away with a cleansing. Yato seems more worried about Yuki and him not working out that this.....mark on his neck. Maybe that means Yato really does care for Yuki. Or since Bishamon is on his tail...he is super worried. Either way, til next time!

Noragami episode 5

Wants. Obviously. Because I don't have enough stuffed animals in my house.

Post 5 in animeness. Even though February is gone I still was busy attempting to catch up! XD You all were not forgotten. Up now is Noragami episode 5. Spoilers for Yuki being a super big brat....

And then Yuki's teenage world exploded.

Episode Summary: After the appearance Nora the group has questions. Yato does not want to give answers. He decides instead to capture a tiny Phantom the next day in an effort to teach Yuki how to make a barrier. Yato barely explains the process but Yuki is able to make a strong barrier right away. Hmmmm all this random talent? But now Yuki has a way of protecting himself all is well. In light of that....Hiyori tries to kidnap him and take him home. Her thinking is that Yato is a pervert with this parade of woman under his belt and has no real place to call home. Yuki would be better off with her. Yato is obviously upset about all of this but Yuki starts to think how wonderful it could be for him. This causes perverted thoughts in Yuki which gives Yato the pains. Still Hiyori takes Yuki away leaving Yato alone. She leads Yuki to her grand house which causes Yuki to pause. When they enter the housekeeper does not see Yuki and Hiyori shows him around the house. Yuki thinks that he is staying in Hiyori's room but she gives him her older brother's room instead. Yuki tries to console himself in the fact he can take a bath after Hikari and that is just as sexy...but the parents have returned home and it is the father he is bathing after and whose shampoo he used. Traumatized. Much to Hiyori's disappointment Yato shows up and starts eating all the food in the fridge in front of her parents. Thankfully he goes unnoticed but she still takes him outside to yell at him. He says that Yuki is afraid of the dark so he should take care of the boy. Then he breaks it down seriously, that Phantoms are more active at night and that is why he sleeps at temples, it is safer. He wonders if Hiyori will be able to keep the boy safe. Hiyori goes back in the house as to say HMMM I can do this. Yuki ends up snuggling with Hiyori that night as the father turns all the lights out. Naughty thoughts start to happen so Yato appears to yell. The next day Hiyori takes Yuki out shopping, to get him what he wants. Yuki for whatever reason has decided to either impress Hiyori or take advantage of the situation and wants to steal a skateboard. He calls it borrowing and skates around the store entrance. Hiyori yells at him for stealing and puts it back. Yuki gets super upset at Hiyori and runs off. Hiyori is surprised that Yuki would do that and starts to look for him. Yato gets a pain in his neck, that Yuki is sinning and slowly starts to look for the boy too.

You literally can't see me so I can do this.

Yuki has taken off and is running around, looking at the windows and wanting to do what he wants to do. He is a spirit so if he wants to steal he will. Not that anyone even notices him right? He sees a lot of families walking around and being all family like which eventually makes him sad. Hiyori continues to look for Yuki but is in the wrong place or doesn't really see him. She does run into Yato and tells him they need to find Yuki. Yato seems to do the I told you you couldn't watch over Yuki and it will be dark soon so the boy will freak out. Hiyori starts to question why Yato is acting the way he is when Yato says that gods have no morals. They really don't know right from wrong. The connection between Master and Treasure is one way, Yato can only feel what Yuki is doing as it is to teach Yato what sinning is. But eventually Yuki will cross the line one day and Yato will give him a divine punishment AKA kill him. Because that is what gods do. Hiyori is quite upset to hear this. Yuki is also quite upset as he was having a pout on the bench and didn't see that it had been growing dark. He starts to run to find some light when he sees a little girl crotched down at the end of the street alone. Yuki risks leaving the light to take the girl by the hand, just in time to save her from some Phantoms. He takes her into a better lit area and she is happy that he could see and notice her. Yuki realizes that she is dead, killed in that spot a few days ago. The little girl is waiting for her mother, unable to accept she is dead. Yuki waits with her for a while as she talks about the scary gods that keep chanting ONE OF US. She suggests that Yuki goes home with them. Yuki finally tells the girl her mom isn't coming to get her for a very good reason and the girl flips out. She runs into the darkness and Yuki summons his courage to pull her away and make a shield. Only when he looks back he sees the girl had been slowing changing into a Phantom too. He starts to freak out and all is horrible. She transforms into a gross Phantom and Yato and Hiyori appear on the scene. Yuki tries to explain the situation to Yato, that he wants to save the girl. Yato transforms Yuki into a sword and starts to go to work. Yuki realizes that Yato plans on killing the girl, not saving her and begs Yato to stop. Yato says it is much too late to “save” her in that way and this is the best he can do. Yuki screams the entire time but Yato does slay the Phantom. It is implied that Yuki is beyond upset and goes home with Hiyori, beyond upset at Yato. Elsewhere there is a woman taking a bath looking lovely. She had been seen earlier in the city slaying Phantoms and I guess she is taking a rest. But she is interrupted as she is told that Yato was in the city also killing Phantoms. She seems interested and...THE END!

Only in anime folks....

Hmmmm. I guess we aren't going to learn about Ms. Mystery girl this episode. Well she was mentioned. Nora. But yeah. She was a drive by character, to be explained later. More like she is going to be in the back of our minds. Well Hiyori and Yuki's minds anyway.

I am the best at everything weee!

Since Yato didn't want to talk about her, it was time for a distraction. Or practice. Yes we will call it practice. Yuki is new at this treasure weapon thing. It is time to teach Yuki a thing or two. Even though Yuki seems to be doing well without any training. Just be a sword and magically cut everything. Or cut ties between two people with no previous experience. You wonder treasure you. Let me teach you how to make a barrier now. You hold your fingers together and pretend like you are playing fruit ninja. Cut the fruit XO and TADA. Yuki made a powerful barrier without....really knowing what to do. Just pointed and did it. Does that count as teaching? More like he just knows it and explaining it would be silly. Yay Yuki. Also...the Phantom Yuki practiced his barrier on was cut. Wants. Well plushie anyway.

You can't take Yuki home because you have no home!

Once Yuki was done being a prodigy....it was time for him to go home. Only Yato's home consists of temple benches. So Hiyori did the logical thing and took Yuki home. I guess the real logical thing would have be to...oh I don't know, make Yato fix Hiyori. Even though he probably can't. Instead Hiyori just keeps involving herself more and more into this hot mess. Because then we wouldn't have a show you know. Also it probably would have made sense to invite Yato to live there too. You know, since he will be doing the saving and healing. But I guess Hiyori thinks Yato is a slacker and she won't encourage such behavior. As for Yuki...yeah him and his impure thought almost ran out of there and into Hiyori's arms.

Yuki goes from the street to the penthouse. Pretty Woman without the hookering.

Hiyori's house was slightly impressive. I must remember that this is Japan and mist people don't live in houses so that is a big deal. The inside of the house was nicer yes. Especially the bathroom. So much space. XD I have seen what some bathtubs in Japan look like, barely can fit my cat in them. I wonder if part of Yuki was trying to remember how he used to live or if this was a combination of awe/MOG I live with Hiyori....but yeah, the little treasure was overwhelmed.

I think perverted thoughts about Hiyori are normal. Does Hiyori not SEE the problem here? XD

I am not sure if Hiyori is “special” or not. I mean...this is a young boy. I am sure he is 13/14ish while Hiyori is 15/16ish. Not that big of a difference. And you know teenage boys....Oh Yuki. Or maybe I should have said poor Yato. All those thoughts. Sharing....feelings must be hard. Stick Yuki in Hiyori's brothers room and tada all is fine. Wonder if that older brother will ever show up. Probably not. For now it is bath time. Oh and avoiding the parents and housekeeper time. Good thing Yuki doesn't have much of a presence.....Or else he would have been caught..having a moment with what he thought was Hiyori's shampoo. Oh young boys. Their lives are so hard. No privacy. So hard.

I think about two hours passed before Yato showed up. I really thought he followed them home and would make an appearance after 5 minutes so that was an amazing feat to me. I know that Yato and Yuki are going to be largely unnoticed by humans but...if Yato is carrying a buttload of food wouldn't that be noticeable? Like hello is this food floating in the air? Like if he was walking around with his own food that might not raise any eyebrows. But since you know...the food is being removed from their fridge.....Before the parents could get a clue Hiyori took him outside to yell at him. Like um you better bounce son, I am taking care of Yuki now. You are an unfit parents with all these..girls who “like/hate” you around. Judges orders. Yato had a serious moment and explained to Hiyori that Phantoms are more active at night and that entities such as himself and Yuki are more vulnerable thus Yato picks to sleep at holy places. Like temples. Since he doesn't have his own steps yet another will have to do. Maybe Yato should have said that earlier, you know instead of getting butthurt that Yuki picked Hiyori. Having a logical point beats an emotional one any day.

Yato lacks being comforting....

Yato got a little...high and mighty about this little fact. Like oh can you take care of Yuki, now that I have told you the situation? HMMM? HMMMM?! Because obviously the answer is going to be no. I am sure Hiyori realizes now how dangerous the situation is and that she really doesn't posses the skills to protect Yuki....but she won't admit that. Despite....maybe being slightly (but deserving) arrogant about the situation Yato did protect Yuki. Sorta. I think their whole sleeping near a temple thing is true...but that Yuki has had trauma in his life. But since Yato only knows that because of shared memories he didn't tell Hiyori that. Instead it became almost a joke. Like oh the little boy is scared of the dark. Avoid the truth by making a joke. I am not sure if Yuki minds being viewed in that light (or lack of light) as it got him snuggles with Hiyori. Yay for Hiyori being oblivious and Yato suffering from turned on Yuki.

Yuki really didn't think Hiyori was going to let him get away with this right?

There was a little snag in the sunshine express. Not sure if Hiyori should blame herself. I mean...did Yato blame her later? I guess he did a little but he was also being unnecessarily creepy. Bu back to Yuki. Hiyori was I guess trying to play mom/big sister. Take him to do some shopping. Offering to buy the boy what he wanted/needed. I am not sure what Yuki was doing when he was trying to “borrow” the skateboard. Was he trying to look cool in front of Hiyori? Or did he not want to burden Hiyori with his expenses and was trying to provide for himself. Yato...I don't think he steals to provide ...but now that we know “the truth” about gods that might not be a moral issue. Either way Yuki stole and that did not impress Hiyori. You put that back Yuki. Bad Yuki. Naughty Yuki!! So Yuki went off and had a tantrum while Hiyori had to chase down a kid that isn't hers.

So....treasures being human still means they get punished for having said human emotions and feelings? I see.

During the search for Yuki Hiyori runs into Yato whom knows what Yuki has done and probably has a good idea of where the boy is. Them being connected and all. While Hiyori was off running looking for the boy Yato was doing an I told you so smirk. Like hmm you can't protect Yuki? More like Yuki had an attack of the teenagers and no one would have been able to “protect” him. But this opened the door for Yato to talk about the real connection between gods and treasure weapons. Yuki can't feel what Yato feels. But Yato feels what Yuki does in an effort to learn. The difference between right and wrong that is. Because these gods operate with a different value system. Or no value system. So when Yuki does something wrong it is like Yato gets a ping. Almost like he is his sponsor/responsible for him and that he is supposed to learn. Now that might have been interesting to Hiyori...if Yato hadn't said it in such a creepy way. Like yes Hiyori, we gods do WHATEVER we want. Whatever!! Piggy backing on what Kofuku said last time and Hiyori was all like oh shit god of war is really up in here. Thanks for being creepy Yato. Let me pretend to be brave and find Yuki now....

Well I was going to run like hell but then I decided to be brave....

So while Hiyori was worried and Yato was being creepy Yuki was having a pout. A long one. Stupid Hiyori, never letting me do what I want to do. You know, something a little kid would do to his parents. Which is odd since he should be acting like Hiyori is a possible love interest. Still he was walking around all RARW I was just going to borrow it. Sure you were. I think Yuki was going to have a moment about all the kids shopping with their parents. I know Yuki doesn't have any memories (or claims not to have any) but I am sure he knows he had some and seeing happy families makes hims sad. But this moment was very brief as Yuki realized it was getting dark outside. While Yato might have said it to be snarky Yuki really is afraid of the dark. I guess when he is with others or outside near a light pole it isn't so bad. But yeah...Yuki was not happy with the impending darkness and ran like hell.

:( Please don't blame yourself Yuki.

Despite Yuki being portrayed as a brat/crybaby, that isn't all he is. Because most humans aren't one dimensional. So anime characters (any characters really) shouldn't be cardboard cut outs of certain “types”. Yuki can be a scared, bratty kid but a younger kid is crying on the ground about being alone/passed up by everyone....he notices. Probably because he feels unnoticed. Putting aside his fears of the dark he gets the girl to safety. Now I am not sure if she was just a lost soul or could be a treasure weapon later on. But little hommie was recently dead and the Phantoms were all around her. ONE OF US!! Yuki doesn't really get a lot of points in sympathy or comfort. He did try but he wasn't sugar coating it, that mom wasn't coming to get her. So it sorta hurt to watch the girl run into the darkness and towards the Phantoms. Like no stay with Yuki. Then BAM, girl turns into a Phantom. Well more like bam with one creepy eye and then she becomes a Phantom. Just...sadness. Yuki was trying to protect her with his new shields and she was offering to have her mother take him home too. :( Just so sad.

This isn't saving!!!

Yato and his magical self do arrive to “save” the day. Not much saving going on given the situation. I hope Yuki doesn't blame himself for the girl turning into a Phantom in the first place. Him telling her the truth..that didn't make her turn right? :( I hope he doesn't have the guilt. He might though since he asked Yato to save her. Yato's version of saving and everyone else's version of saving are different it seems. Because Yato said okay to Yuki's request to save the girl. Then he gets into position to squish her. Like hello I asked you to save her, does this look like saving? According to Yato this was the only thing that could be done. Does that mean the little girl can still go to heaven? Because I think that is what Yuki was asking or you know the girl being herself when she died. I think that is what happened. So Hiyori and Yuki were shown this episode that there is a reason that Yato acts the way he does and not everything is fun and games. Rest in peace little girl and hopefully Hiyori gets a nightlight for Yuki.

Did someone say Yato?!

The episode ends with some blond bomb shell taking a bath at a fancy hot spring or something. We saw her earlier in the episode flying on a lion and killing off Phantoms so I am going out on a limb here and thinking she is a god. It was reported to her that Yato was spotted killing a Phantom and apparently this is big news. Is he that much of a slacker? I think not since he has killed a few so far this season. I mean I am sure he mainly takes odd/weird jobs but I don't think this was interrupting bath worthy news. Who knows how Ms. Blondie will take it though. Until next time!

Noragami episode 4

...in no universe ever?

Anime post number 4 tonight! Gosh it feels like forever since I saw this episode. Also during my long break in watching the Olympics I did watch the first two episodes of the X/Z show of cards and monsterness. Only the first episode was so confusing I was like...meh and the second episode was so generic I never watched or blogged anything else. And I did watch episode 3 of the Pilot show but since I am so far behind on everything else I should focus on those shows first. So I shall. Up now is Noragami episode 4. Spoilers for Yato having weird friends and strange delusions of grandeur.

Episode Summary: Yato is having a super amazing dream. He is a world famous god with tons of followers, temples, and riches. In his dream he pretends to be lonely so his shrine maidens/treasures would off to heal him. This healing must lead to things as Yuki pushes Yato down the stairs in disgust. Yato is offended by Yuki's lack of believing in his dream. Yuki rolls his eyes and mutters things. Later in the day Hiyori brings the boys some bento boxes in an attempt to get Yato to take her case seriously. Yato is too focused on how lovely the meal is to pay attention to her concerns. Eventually Hiyori and Yuki grow frustrated and Yato is like hello you are my treasure. When he gets more looks Yato decides to take them somewhere. Hiyori optimistically thinks it is somewhere to cure her out of body experiences. Instead they roll up to a rather large temple (albeit empty). Yuki and Hiyori are confused and grow more X___X when a young girl appears out of nowhere and hugs all over Yato. Yato starts to sob on how he has no money so the girl hands him a wad of cash. Yato introduces the girl as Kofuku, a famous god. Kofuku is like I am Yato's girlfriend and the jaws drop. Kofuku invites them in and Hiyori realizes she is really one of the top gods...just looks super different. XO Kofuku starts to go on and on about Yato when a scary large man appears. He declares himself Kofuku's man and gets all up on Yato and slightly manhandles the god. Before Hiyori and Yuki bolt Kofuku is like time for tea. The scary man is named Daikoku and he is very protective of Kofuku. Very. VERY. But they aren't dating or in love. Nor is Kofuku really dating Yato. Snacks are served while Daikoku talks to Yuki about being treasure. When he learns this is the boy's first time being a treasure he tries to give him some tips, putting aside animosity he has for Yato. The group talks for a bit, mostly at Yato's expense. Again Hiyori and Yuki are impressed by the riches of a better god. Yato interrupts them all by saying he has a job and runs out with a shoeless Yuki. As Hiyori goes to grab their stuff Kofuku warns Hiyori that despite how Yato looks he is actually dangerous. Hiyori runs off after the boys with questions in her mind.

I am at your service, for how ever long you may live.

On top of a huge building a man is calling his mom or texting said mom his suicide note. Yato accidentally appears on top of the man (Yusuke) which pushes him off the building. Yusuke is started but because he was going to kill himself anyway who cares? Yato is like I am at your service buddy. Turns out the man misdialed but Yato decides that it is fate. Hiyori is like less talking, more saving. Yuki notes that this is the longest fall in history as Yato wants to know Yusuke's life story. Yato wants to know why Yusuke wants to kill himself so Yusuke explains in the longest way possible. This building was 1,000 stories tall ya'll. Basically Yusuke went bankrupt and wants to die so he won't be a burden to his girlfriend. She is a delicate high school student who has lead a sheltered and lonely life. He felt bad for her and started to take her out and spend money on her. Soon very weird things started happening on their dates and his work all but dries up. Now he is broke and has no choice but to fall off a building. Yato asks to see a pic of this girl....and it's Kofuku. Everyone is X___X and Yato is like yeah...she is a liar and the god of poverty. Yato explains the man will have to cut all ties with Kofuku (AKA forget her) or he will never recover. Yusuke loves Kofuku but Yato decides that it must be done. He uses a worried Yuki to cut the strings/bonds around Yusuke and he lands safely on the ground. Job well done Yato tells the worried Yuki who had never done this before. Yato and the gang go to a temple to yell at Kofuku who doesn't think it was a big deal. Still Yato gets paid and leads a blushy I did a good job Yuki away. Hiyori stays back to ask Kofuku what she meant about Yato. Kofuku pauses...then explains with Daikoku that it's easy for gods now, having so many worshipers and all. Well certain gods anyway. But back in the day it was rough and lower gods had to take any job that came around. And since Yato is the god of war.....he got paid to kill people. He even killed a treasure once. A very dangerous god Kofuku warns. Hiyori leaves and Yato wants to know what was said when Hiyori makes her way outside. Hiyori avoids the question and wants to know why Yato took them to see these people. Yato explains that if something happens to him to go to this couple. Yuki had walked a bit further, lost in his thoughts that Yato had praised him for such a good job. He looks up from his spot to see a young girl staring at him. She is covered in letterings (meaning she has been a treasure for a lot of people). Before she can do much Yato appears and recognizes her. She wants Yato to say her name and when he doesn't she says she will always wait for him, vanishing. THE END!

This god actually has money too.

Another day, another god that isn't Yato. I would be like hmmm aren't we getting “friend of the week” up in this anime but then I realized....this is Japan. And Yato has been “alive” for a long time. Of course he knows a lot of “gods”. So all is okay. You have my permission to carry on.

Being on top is so lonely!

First things first. Yato...he thinks very highly of himself. He dreams big folks. Oh he just can't wait to be king....err....I mean top god. Very...vivid dream. I guess we don't know how long Yato has been doing grunt work. Maybe he does deserve a little R&R. After all, don't we all dream something..impossible? Although he was pushing it a bit with the ladies. Keep on keeping on Yato. At least you are trying...even if you were trying to get some sympathy sugar.

Oh poor delusional Hiyori....

It's a good thing dream Yato got a lot of attention. Because in real life..not so much. Well I guess Yuki gave him some attention when he dropped kicked him down the stairs. Yato must be a loud dreamer. Hiyori did arrive eventually and sorta...gave Yato attention. I am sure Yato saw it more as nagging. Like yes dear I will take out the trash, quit being on my case. Hiyori did try to bribe Yato though, with something necessary....because gods need sleep and food. Given the situation I think Hiyori has a right to be mad. Yes she....caused the problem...sorta...but he contributed too. And he promised to fix her. Now get to fixin.

Errr Hiyori might have the jealous?

After Yato was done having a pout because no one cares about him he decided to take them to meet some people. I am sure Hiyori thought it had something to do with her condition and Yuki was just happy to talk to someone who wasn't crazy Yato. Well....Yato ended up taking them to see Kofuku and Daikoku. I think at this point we should assume everyone Yato takes them to meet or that he knows has some sort of magical ability. I am not sure if it was jealously or disgust but Hiyori had some sort of feeling when she saw Kofuku hanging all over Yato and the declarations of being the girlfriend and/or sugar momma. Like um what's the point here? Then Daikoku showed up and they (Hiyori and Yuki) wanted to know what was going on...but from a safe distance away. Like um...maybe Yato wasn't so bad after all?

See the bonding?!

After being threatened Yato and company were invited inside. Because that is what you do when someone claims to be stealing your woman or her money. Only this isn't a couple you see. Kofuku is the god and Daikoku is the very protective treasure. Maybe Yato likes his life being threaten? I don't know. Anyway Hiyori seems to be aware that Kofuku is up there on the very important god list. A bit different from drawings though. Daikoku was very kind to Yuki. Maybe he felt bad for the kid given his current master. Oh you are new on the job, big brother kinda way.

Why does Yato know crazy people?!

It wasn't until Yato got a call and ran out with Yuki did anything really....interesting happen. I myself was wondering what the point of all this was. Like look kids, this is what happens when you reach the top.....you are still a weirdo, like me. So why bother? Doubt it because that is what Yato wants. Maybe the lesson is....everyone who knows Yato is crazy so run away from him? I mean be more grateful for the crazy you know! Maybe he infects them all with the crazy...

Yato technically did give the man what he wanted....

Since this show has been nothing but special the case itself was kinda...weird. See a man was trying to leave his last will and testament before he jumped off the tallest building in the universe. He accidentally dialed Yato...which I don't know how is possible since most people have contact info for the important people they know. Still Yato was called to save the day. Or accidentally push the man off the roof which is technically what he wanted so Yato was helpful?.

Even though it was established last episode Yato is super against suicide he was already to help Yusuke. Don't pay attention to those silly details people. Yuki and Hiyori were like um maybe you should handle the root of the problem first? You know, instead of waiting for the man to go splat? Only I think the conversation/event last for about 7 minutes...meaning this fall actually happened from space ya'll. At least Yuki acknowledged it. Like um this is the building that never ends. It just goes on and on my friend. No one pay attention to the young man making sense. While Hiyori was disturbed by this all I think her focus was more on the fact that when Yusuke was telling his story he was using her face. Like um no dude. Stop being so creepy.

Yato and Yusuke hit it off instantly though. So much so that Yusuke opened up about his woes. Basically Yusuke is a pervert. I mean...an innocent man in love. He found a teenage girl having a pout on the ground and basically assumed that something was super wrong and he needed to rescue her. I mean...if he really thought she was in trouble he should have taken her to the police. But this is anime land where poo poo parents who don't take us to theme parks or buy expensive clothes are beyond horrible. Clearly Yusuke had to groom...I mean take care of this girl. For her own good. Even before the bad things started happening...it was clear this girl was using him. I guess since he didn't have sex with her he isn't....the lowest of the low. Just...really dumb I suppose. Girl made out good. Although I think Yusuke should have worried more about his job sinking into a pit rather than some random things happening on the dates. I wish we could have found out if the girl dumped him or not. I think not...given who it was and that Yusuke was acting like he was doing her a favor. Not sure how that computes either since...he could have gotten another job and if she did love him, he being plastered on the ground might be traumatized.

Because getting all the details at once is way too hard.

Yato listens to the whole story and was like...show me a pic of this girl. One would have thought that maybe Hiyori would have asked to see it first since Yusuke was using her fact during the story. Would have saved all that unnecessary talking. Because you know...the girl is Kofuku. Insert adorable prairie dog making the villain face. Because didn't you know, Kofuku is the god of poverty. How does that make any sense? Usually one worships an entity for something good to happen. If an entity causes something ad wouldn't that make them a demon? I would think so. Anyway this makes Kofuku a very bad person and Yusuke is very sad.

Yuki is the best at everything weeee!

Yato's solution to this problem comes across a little extreme. Almost reminded me of Youko from XXXholics....before they gave it a shitty ending. Like to solve your problems involving Kofuku you must forget Kofuku. I know it was slightly more complicated that that but yes cut the ties or the bad things will continue to happen to you. Poor Yusuke really thought he was in love and didn't want to do it. Yuki was a bit X___X about the situation as cutting ties between two individuals is a bit harder than slicing a ball of energy in half. Even if the ball of energy is shaped like an ugly monster. Rejoice for Yuki was able to do it and Yusuke being free at last.

Err....that sounds super important.

Yato and company went over to see Kofuku to yell at her. Or get his payment as Yusuke really didn't hire him nor remembers the incident. Either way not much yelling occurred and Yato got paid his 5 yen. Oh and Yuki got praised. Look at that little treasure blush. I think momentum changed from being upset at Kofuku who almost killed a man by really leading him on to GO YUKI!!! Then the true meaning of the conversation really switched when Hiyori stayed back to listen to what Kofuku and Daikoku had to say about Yato. Not great things. Good thing this all happened on the same day so Hiyori wasn't sitting there worrying. But yeah...Yato almost sounds like a demon himself. Running around killing people, even another treasure? Kofuku makes Yato sound like a dangerous god but hello isn't he being paid or contracted to do things? If that is the law of the land, that gods serve humans in that way (and not the other way around...) then Yato was hired by some dangerous people. Either way Kofuku who almost killed a man an shows no remorse about it is like Yato is super dangerous BEWARE! I am sure it has more to do with the dead treasure issue than the human one. Sorta like a rule among gods not to mess with treasures.

The better to see how crazy you are?

The episode ends with Yato and Hiyori catching up with Yuki. When Hiyori left Kofuku and Daikoku's Yato was waiting for Hiyori. To tell Hiyori that if something happens to him to go to these people. You know, the people who just said he was dangerous. HMMMMM! But yes Yuki walked along, thinking about Yato praising him and such. Yato might be a pain in the ass but being praised for a good job is always nice. Only his moment was interrupted by....some ghost looking girl covered in marks of treasureness. Yato didn't seem that happy to see her. Like nope not calling you by my treasure name for you. You aren't mine now. The atmosphere was odd. The girl was like oh you will talk to me one day, sure you will before she disappeared. Um can we say stalker? To be continued!

Duffy the Disney Bear: Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello there Duffy lovers! A while ago it was Valentine's Day. Mom and Dad had to work a lot so it was more like a Valentine's Day weekend. Lots of time for presents, chocolates, and fun. XO And of course me wearing a cute little outfit. Come see how me and Luffy spent the day that seems so long ago now that I think about it.....

Mom was so happy when Luffy was rereleased this year. Last year she missed out on him. But she had me instead for an entire year.

Dad got Mom the bamboo heart AND made her a dessert. Look how lovely this is! The recipe is from a fancy hotel at Disneyland in California. How cool is that?! Also Mom said it was yummy and thoughtful.
