Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru manga chapters 13-21 screenie review

Okay maybe review is not the right word. More like...I tried to catch up on the manga today and was sad that I couldn't find anything beyond chapter 21 and decided to blog about it in the hopes that someone will link me to more chapters. But that would not fit in the little title section so I went with review instead.

Everyone loves bunnies woohoo!!!!!

So since the manga and the anime have closely related plots I thought it would be way too much to review each and every chapter. I went through instead and took screenies of important pictures. AKA pictures of Hotsuma looking hot. XD So while it is not content heavy it might be spoilery for people who have not watched the series or read up to chapter 21.

Thank you random anonymous for commenting on a older post that got me interested in catching up on Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru manga chapters. XD

Hotsuma running from his parents. Yuki and Hotsuma have a talk and Shuusei sees it. I thought Hotsuma looked positively vulenerable in this picture. He usually tries to talk a big game but he really just needs a HUG.

Ah there is Luka. Maybe Luka should be giving Yuki more wrist kisses or something. Hotsuma is getting all the hotties in this series. Also Luka looks a lot angrier in the manga than he did in the anime.

Tsukumo is pretty badass in the anime but I think the manga does a better job of showing how amazing he is. He is really quiet but effective. He eludes a calmness that is necessary in battle. Like hey strange man, things will be okay kind of attitude.

The anime got it right though leaving this girl out of Hotsuma and Shuusei’s relationship. No one needs whats her face helping the plot along. So yes anime two thumbs up for deleting her from the anime. TWO THUMBS UP.

This scene needs NO CONTEXT. Ignore the context people. It is just Luca explaining to Toko that no, he is never going to hook up with her and she needs to back up off him. That is what I read anyway.

One of the chapter art covers. It just reinforces how CLOSE the two are. As in CANNON people.

Hotsuma looks so devastated when Ashley that Shuusei killed himself. I like how dead Hotsuma’s eyes look, devoid of anything but sorrow. Clearly he needs a hug.

Shuusei isn’t dead folks. He is way too sexy to be dead. I like this picture because…Shuusei is half naked. I think that is all. XD

Just a little love between Hotsuma and Luka. In the middle of a battle they find the time to snip at each other. So beautiful.

Reiga/Kanata looks pretty damn hot in the manga. I think in the anime he had more emotions going on during the battle. The manga he does a better job of pretending he is an asshole. But a hot asshole.

Reiga/Kanata is trying to crush Yuki’s soul. Because Yuki hasn’t been through enough no no, he needs his bestest best friend ever to say he wants him dead. Luka is not having any of that. Luka spends most of his time in the manga and anime standing in front of Yuki doesn’t he….But yes I like this picture because Luka is trying to defend Yuki and say romantic things but Yuki is too out of it to really hear him.

Reiga/Kanata looks very Kanata like in this picture. He looks remorseful, like he is just a victim in all this too and he really doesn’t want to hurt Yuki. That he has regrets and hates hurting Yuki. AW…no hug for you though.

XO How cute is Hotsuma talking to human Sodom? I think the word VERY comes to mind. Because it is super cute.

Maybe I should have named this post the Hotsuma and Shuusei post? But yes Hotsuma looked so….so passionate when telling Shuusei he would never look away from him again. In mangas there are few pages to portray the necessary emotions of the scene. So images like this are powerful as they don’t have as much time to get to the point as they do in animes. Also Hotsuma is hot.

After Yuki has his sad little pity party about Reiga/Kanata, Luka’s questionable loyalty, and basically his whole life sucking…XO CANDY TIME! Because there have been one too many serious topics and conversations going on. We need some fun and nothing says fun better than friendship candy. I want a piece.

Yuki is super awesome at making first impressions! Kuroto is very happy to meet Yuki I can tell.

True love Yuki? BROTHER AND SISTERS?! XO What is wrong with you?! But yes about Hotsuma and Shuusei.

So I am guessing that the anime was already finished when these manga chapters came out because this did not happen in the anime. Everyone going out to get treats and showing Yuki around town. It was more Kuroto is a depressing person and not any happy fun times. But I do see another girl trying to get in the way of my yaoi pairings!

And that is about it. I was hoping to fill my Sunday sick in bed with more chapters but I could not find any more. Is that because the the manga got licensed here in America? If so...I guess I will just have to wait. But if not anyone want to point the way to more chapters for me? XD

Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru Episode 24: FINAL EPISODE!

Okay I said today was going to be a blogging marathon but that really didn’t happen. We didn’t go the movies either. So where did the day go? X_X I mean a good part of it was typing up the Anime Weekend Atlanta 2010 con report but what about the rest? I guess I got preoccupied with updating Facebook pictures, putting around all my lovely treasures, and bonding the neediest cat ever. Oh and looking on the AWA forums boards for discussions and what not. So yeah my blogging marathon hasn’t happened yet. Let’s see if I can change that right now XD.

What will I do without my weekly dose of IMPLIED yaoi?!

First up is Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru FINAL EPISODE. Or maybe not so final. Anyway I was going to flip a coin to see what got blogged first, this or K-On!! but someone told me to watch Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru because X_X. Well maybe not X_X but it made me X_X. If my face ever did X_X this is real life I probably should seek medical attention.

So be prepare for spoilers, possible disappointment, and everyone getting one last line in before THE END!

Let's make the whole episode about Hotsuma and Shuusei!

Episode Summary: Luka introduces Yuki to his younger twin brother Luze. Yuki is all XO for a while. Luza says something about how Luka destroyed their family name (what?!) and Luka is like I love Yuki so shut your mouth. Reiga then is like this is all your fault Yuki. Something about the light creates darkness or something. Mainly Reiga wants to cut Yuki deep and it works. Takashiro says some dramatic stuff to all the random second tier characters and he transports himself to the land of Reiga. Only Takashiro is all like AHA I will use dark power to fight you. Yuki watches as Reiga and Takashiro stare each other down and is all like it’s all my fault. BAM! It is time to bring out the awesome Yuki power. Now it can kill Duras so the generals run and the twin dude is killed. Also everyone is healed. Reiga is not hurt because the plot won’t allow it and Luka’s contract with Yuki protects him. Yuki can’t control his powers and he is losing control. Luka makes it to Yuki after a slow mo scene and Reiga is like what is this?! Takashiro tries to rub it in his face and bam….it’s over.

Time for sexy times!

Everyone is outside Yuki’s room looking nervous. Luka goes in and Yuki wakes up. Surprise everyone lived. Yuki promises to end the war and Luka is like FINE I will keep protecting you then. Takashiro goes and visits the shrine rock thing and talks about Yuki being a boy messing up how things were supposed to go and all. Tsukumo then tries to flirt with Shuusei with ice cream and baths. XO Sexy I know. Kuroto tries to be sexy with Hotsuma but they are too similar personality wise so it ends up being a fight. And Senshirou tries to have a conversation with someone that doesn’t have hair in their face but Tsukumo shuts that down. Then Hotsuma and Shuusei have the best conversation EVER people. Like go watch it now it was that awesome. Ice cream and Hotsuma saying he is going to marry Shuusei and sexy time talk. Best part of the entire episode. Yuki is like oh hell now I want to be romantic too so he takes Luka on a walk. Luka tries to make a contract with Yuki but Yuki wants it more on a trust/love level than master level. Then there is some talk about how Yuki wants to protect everyone and that future will be okay as he runs to all his friends with Luka watching on. THE END!

WELL THEN PEOPLE!

Okay I was the one singing hey let’s get a second season folks. I probably was leading the parade to in the WE NEED A SEASON TWO PARADE! Do I get a cool cane?
However people I want to go on record and state I only wanted a season two AFTER this one ended awesome like. Like I didn’t think everyone was going to make it out alive but I was expecting Luka and Yuki to live. Maybe Takashiro and Reiga taking each other out and Luze becoming the new baddie. I was not expecting this at all.

Yuki…seriously. There are some major battles going on and you are leaning against the wall. Do you need a nail file? Want a magazine? I realize that you can’t REALLY do anything but have some expression on your face. LOOK PANICKED! Like do that thing where you pretend to run over to the fight but you have to hold back. Something. MOVE.

We have issues to work through.

And then there is Luka. Oh yeah my twin brother. Didn’t I tell you about that? Oh yeah, I don’t tell you about ANYTHING! But maybe the middle of a battle is the not the place to explain your deep dark secrets. However since Luze and Luka are twins it might have been important to tell Yuki that small detail. You know as Luza could have impersonated you at any time. We all know how prevalent evil twins are in animes/mangas so I think people need to be prepared.

Not necessary Reiga. -_-

Reiga was more than a jerk today. I don’t even think he was believing all the crap that came out of his mouth but it was cruel and uncalled for? Yuki causes darkness? The more awesome Yuki is the more crap will come his way? Oh okay you asshole. Because Yuki doesn’t already have problems with blaming every little thing on himself now we got to make up stuff. So yeah that was uncalled for.

Takashiro and his goodbye speech was a little useless. Mainly because he didn’t do anything. Like woohoo I am coming to do great darkness on your ass but I am not going to have a chance to do anything. More like him and Reiga just had an epic stare down while thinking about that random dead chick.

You probably died a virgin but you weren't getting any from these two guys.

See even all the chicks in this anime KNOW the boys are all gay. “Special world” indeed.

So after all the hype of a final battle and Takashiro himself thinking he is going to die Yuki randomly lights up like a Christmas tree and off the light beams go. Only NOW the light beam can kill Duras. New awesome rule people. The two Generals got away but the Twinless Twin died. No real lose there but why wasn’t Reiga at least a little hurt? He is part Duras so maybe he should have been on the floor looking a little hurt and sad.

Going towards the light is actually important now!

The dramatic moment of the episode was Luka reaching out for Yuki. Reiga and Takashiro decided to have a heart to heart. Hi, let’s look at these lovebirds isn’t this what you want Reiga? Yeah your life sucks. I am so sure that is what Reiga was searching for all his life, the love of his life finding love with someone else. Way to go Takashiro.

...Who needs kisses when we have HANDSHAKES?!

So…did Luka help Yuki not explode or something? It was all slow like and POOF it was over. We trust each other and might love each other but heaven forbid someone say the l-word. So that running towards Yuki the Christmas Tree was too special for words. Just yeah.

And then it was over people. Our final battle had a few drops of blood and some scratches. The only person who died was some lame Duras no one even cared about anyway and we thought he died a while back anyway. Everyone lives HURRAY! But it was more like everyone lives but nothing got resolved kinda fight which was really unsatisfying.

The snacks of get the hell away from my sister before I cut your balls off.

So since not one damn thing was resolved with this fight we had to have some sort of closure. First off the Guardians were all breaking off into their not Guardian pairs to spend time together. Tsukumo finally realized that he has no yaoi pairing going on and that his nearest romantic interest is his sister. So he branched out and flirted with Shuusei. Sneaky move since Hotsuma was busy sleeping. But then Kuroto was like well Senshirou doesn’t spend enough time with me so I will make him jealous by play fighting with Hotsuma. And Senshirou and Toko were boring. Tsukumo probably should have approved more but maybe he is scared of Kuroto too.

THEN THE CUTEST SCENE EVER HAPPENED! Shuusei and Hotsuma felt bad for the random flirting scenes and came together for one last scene. Shuusei gave up his Tsukumo ice cream which was cute. Then Hotsuma was finally able to see Shuusei’s scar in a more positive light. I kinda like how he spun it, that the scar is proof of how far Shuusei was willing to go to save him. A beautiful moment people. Then Shuusei decides to get playful in a mean way. Hotsuma takes the playing the wrong way and has a spaz attack.

Then he says the best line ever. I’LL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY! See people in the anime/manga world that is code for I will marry you and take care of you for the rest of your life. Usually when someone steals a first kiss or something equally as traumatizing like that. So when he said that line I turned into a fangirling mess all over the floor. Because romantic people. Shuusei laughs and Hotsuma continues to spaz and in my fangirl crazy mind the melted ice cream represented something people. Something sexy.

And then the other random characters that no one cares about said things and did things and I didn’t care. Sorry necromancer in training. DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!

Um..maybe a hug is in order....

Yuki didn’t die folks. He just has more of a resolve to end this war. He doesn’t say HOW he is going to end it or what he is going to do…just that he is going to do it. Luka is slightly pissed that Yuki always has to suffer but generally supports his decision to be self sacrificing and such. Only if Luka is allowed to be beside him while the drama is happening.

There is a serious lack of touching here...

And at the very end of the episode Yuki and Luka go on a walk. No hand holding, no kisses, no confesses of love. I demand my yaoi and I demand it now. But Luka does try to make another contract with Yuki and Yuki makes it more into a promise, that he doesn’t want to own Luka. Which I guess is pretty romantic when you think about it. Yuki says some stuff about wanting everyone to be happy and such and TADA it is the end, with Yuki running towards everyone and Luka calming walking behind him.

Okay this is touching but I want more!

So that is it people. Pretty sure we are going to get a season two but it makes me sad that NOTHING got resolved. Reiga still has his bad guy tendencies because I think that conversation him and Takashiro meant nothing. Hotsuma and Shuusei are still lovely dovey while the other characters are more or less the same as they were 3 episodes ago. We have a new bad guy…and yeah that’s it. X_X

So season two you better step up your game. I want Yuki and girl Yuki to have a discussion. I want Luka to tell Yuki about his past life. I want clothes on the floor. Oh and maybe some serious battles. The only person who was down for the count was Tsukumo. But now Reiga is looking like a loser so that was lame. Real battles, real danger, and Yuki needs to man up.

Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru Episode 23

Ya’ll today has been so awesome. And by awesome I mean can I go back to bed and start the day over yet? The pharmacy dude at Walgreens wouldn’t give me a flu shot despite me arriving 30 minutes before close (he said come in between 10-6 so YOU KNOW). It rained like crazy all day long so I already had to dodge thunderstorms and cars to even get to the Walgreens. So I decided to go to Target to get groceries for our AWA trip. Only two employees were so beyond rude to me I waited 10 minutes to speak to a manager and walked away with no groceries. And the topping on the cake is there is some family drama going on and even though I started done of this there is anger towards me. Because obviously I should let people live in my house rent free.

This is how I looked all day.

SOOOOO yeah. A day of miracles it has been. A miracle that I haven’t kicked anyone in the face yet. I tried to take away some of my anger by cleaning but HAHAHA new Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitte Iru episode is up and subbed. So it is time to put a smile on my face and watch my emo boys (and girls…) over in crazy demon land.

Spoilers for….well sparkly dragons and MOG family members!

I am always amused on how baddies restrain their enemies. Such thought and planning. I'd just throw someone in a closet.

Episode Summary: Luka has a little fit that his Yuki has been kidnapped. And by little I mean his powers are all sparkly and he is walking away probably to destroy the whole forest. But before Luka can stomp off into that gentle night Hotsuma is like dude we all care about Yuki so we need to work together to find him. So everyone goes back to the main house to have their injuries looked at. They all sit around and talk about obvious stuff about Reiga maybe being Kanata and protecting Yuki. It is just a sad fest of them all being sad and thinking about Yuki. Takashiro is informed of the Yuki kidnapping and his butler helps get him dressed. Takashiro manages to locate Yuki but passes out again. The butler is like hello everyone this is where Yuki is and Takashiro will join you later. Onwards they go. In the evil dimension that Reiga minions are talking about how Reiga is in love with Yuki and how Yuki’s blood would make an excellent sauce at dinner. Yuki wakes up in a blue jewel and is all LET ME GO NOW! Reiga basically admits to still feeling like Kanata but he is pissed that Yuki has taken the side of the nasty humans who are full of evil emotions.

Holy crap I'm losing?!?!?

All the Guardians and Luka make it to the evil dimension where the Twinless Twin is there to meet them. Hotsuma and Shuusei stay behind to take him out. As the game….err episode progresses Toko and Tsukumo stay to take out Elegy and Senshirou and Kuroto stay to take out Cadenza leaving Luka the only one to take on the final boss. This is all very shocking and unexpected. There are mini scenes of all the pairings fighting and talking about how they love Yuki. Luka makes it to the last room and Yuki is like HI XD XD XD because I think he is unaware he has been kidnapped. Reiga refers to Yuki and Luka as traitors and Yuki is like what? Confused. Luka sees that Reiga has brought his A-game today and it is time to fight. He uses Sodom to fight Reiga’s dragon. Sodom does win but passes out shortly there after. Both men then keep chanting spells and what not as Yuki watches. Reiga uses a barrier spell to bounce Luka’s spell back on him which causes Luka significant injuries. Reiga doesn’t get off easy either but Luka is coughing up gallons of blood. Yuki begs Reiga to stop and Reiga is like fine I will kill you first. Reiga tries to put aside his memories of Yuki and fires at him but it is deflected just in time. But not by Luka…but by another demon who looks just like Luka. X_X The End!

XO I thought my summary was going to be longer than that. XD Go me!!! But yes I am significantly in a better mood now thanks to this episode so woohoo!!! I have no ice cream but I have Yuki and his genuine tears to fill my soul.

Um....yeah. Not talking to you...

Luka wasn’t as scary as I thought he was going to be this week. I know last week he had a scream fit and blamed the ground for Yuki being kidnapped. But this week he decided to go for the whole silent and walking away type of anger moment. Which is still very scary. You know when your mom is mad at you and then refuses to talk to you kind of anger? Yeah that is what I imagined being around Luka felt like for the Guardians.

Hotsuma is a brave soul. Stupid but brave.

Well except for Hotsuma. He either didn’t pick up on Luka’s killer vibe or is too stupid to care. I mean brave….No I mean stupid. XD Silly Hotsuma. I am sure everyone else was thinking that but Hotsuma is the only one who could outright say it with enough force to make his point known. Like no shaking in his voice, strong resolve and all. Hotsuma likes to speak from the heart and not the brain. He was right though so that is all that matters.

Look at us being interesting....

The events inside the house were boring though. Just more of the same old talk. I wonder what these people did in their spare time before they knew Yuki. Their entire lives seem to revolve around that kid. Which I can see why now; it just concerns me for some reason. But yeah boring conversations were boring.

I am trying to be hardcore!

Takashiro is really dying here people. But I like how he is putting on a strong front for the other people with putting on his suit and saying they will rescue Yuki. He has been around for a 1000 years so he has time to work on some awesome leadership skills. So while I think he should be more truthful about his condition I like that he is taking charge and trying to calm everyone down.

Yeah I would be confused too....

Reiga basically saying he is still Kanata was nice. I mean it was beyond obvious but at least he said it out loud. Good to know that the villains are still capable of being honest. I do not get why he called Yuki a traitor too. Like Reiga is a half human and half demon so either way he is a traitor so whatever. But um..Yuki is a human. How is a traitor for not siding with Kanata in a fight with humans and demons when he wasn’t even aware that Kanata was a Reiga demon? Like it confuses me.

But....wouldn't that make him a traitor...?

But Reiga doesn’t impress me with his blaming of Yuki. Like OH everything is Yuki’s fault now? Hello it would make it more sense to blame Takashiro for all this mess but not Yuki. He didn’t know he was betraying you crazy. He thought he was going to go live with his brother and protect you from demons. He didn’t know you were the demon summoner! So blaming Yuki for how this hot mess turned out was cruel at this point. Unless you were doing it to cut your connection off from Yuki it was uncalled for. DO NOT WANT!

MORTAL KOMBAT!

The way the partners were broken up for the final battles with the baddies were…expected and not amazing. Shuusei and Hotsuma already kicked that Twin’s ass anyway so it will be anticlimactic for them to kick it a second time. Also he will probably fall apart because he is losing his mind and they will use it against him. I felt them fighting before was better as they were fighting for each other and love and stuff. XD

She makes such weird faces...

Toko and Tsukumo fighting Elegy is pretty weird. She doesn’t have a beef with them and neither siblings hate her. Well they hate her in the sense that she is the enemy but not a burning deep passion to take her out of this world. She is more after Luka and his sexiness so it doesn’t feel as serious when they are fighting her.

WTF when did he get a paintbrush?!

But Senshirou and Kuroto need to kick Cadenza’s ass all the way. That is a fight worth seeing and it is a long time coming. Of course Kuroto has lost his taste for revenge and is fighting for Yuki only. Which I think is a load of shit. Cadenza killed his old partner. Cadenza killed his grandfather and everyone he knew minus Senshirou. So yeah Kuroto GET YOUR REVENGE and don’t let people talk you out of it

Reiga and Luka’s fight was different from what I thought it was going to be. A lot of spells going on. Of course Reiga doesn’t look like the hand to hand combat kind of guy. But the dragons did a lot of work so that took away from the AHA factor. Like okay while the dragons are fighting why aren’t you two trying to kill each other? Also I was fully prepared to make fun of Kanata and his protection spell…but it kicked Luka’s ass. X_X Hardcore.

So the episode end with MOG Luka having a brother. Of course due to SPOILER ANONS ( XD I love you guys just kidding) I knew he had a brother. But I didn’t think he would make an appearance due to the fact that the series is almost over. However this gives me hope that there will be a season two so I am all like HELLO BROTHER!!!! XD

Also I am sure Luka is happy Yuki got saved but he is probably -_- that yet another person is saving Yuki and probably having feelings about him. Luka will never get laid people. NEVER.

Why does everyone love Yuki?!

So I am pretty excited about the next episode! I will have it up as soon as possible next week but I will be traveling back home from AWA so we will see how that goes. XD I will have another marathon blogging session Monday and Tuesday. But I will do this series first as soon as I can. XD Also I would say countdown to the end but I have a feeling it won’t be ending so I am happy.
