Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan episode 12 Season Finale

This post is like a week late but hey….I don’t care. XD Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan is done and over with….at least until the Fall when we will get season 2. It feels like I have been watching (and snarking) this series forever. At one point I was about ready to give up on this series but I stuck around because I like cute boys and hate stupid weak girls.

What? We get a season two?!

Being that there is going to be a season 2 right around the corner I am not going to go all out to talk about the series as a whole. I can save that for when the series actually ends and since that will be sooner rather than later I am sure all my thoughts will be fresh in my mind. For now this post will mostly be about episode 12 and all it’s glory.

Spoilers, Chizuru bashing, and a complete disregard for the historical aspect of this show await you. Enjoy despite how late this post is.

Episode Summary: So for the first 8 minutes of the show I have no idea what is going on. Seriously there are people fighting and dying all over the place. Like I guess the Shogun’s old men are turn coats now or something? Factions this and clans that. Seriously do not have any idea what is going on. But the Shinsengumi are the good guys and they wear blue coats so that is easy enough to follow right? Various members are heading teams of nonimportant Shinsengumi to battle. But since their enemies have guns this really doesn’t go too well. While everyone is dying Toshizo get cut on his hand and Chizuru is all boo hooing. The main Shinsengumi get together (well the ones who aren’t zombies or injuried anyway) to discuss what to do. Chizuru has the bright idea that she will run to some place and get reinforcements. BY HERSELF. Because besides the gun totting baddies there aren’t people out there who want Chizuru for the sole purpose of breeding oni babies. But somehow this plan sounds good to everyone else if Chizuru goes with someone else. I don’t know his name and I don’t think I should but they all acted like he was important.

Anyway Chizuru and this plan go underway and they reach the castle like area. Only HAHAHA people are shooting at them. Chizuru and her dumbass self start trying to reason with the people SHOOTING AT THEM and the random dude has to pull her away. She is upset that they didn’t get reinforcements because she is a DUMBASS. So while running back to headquarters (really if reinforcements were in running distance don’t you think they would HEAR the battle) they are attacked. The dude DIES to protect Chizuru and she doesn’t even run away. She pretends like she is going to fight this new group of baddies but Chikage appears out of nowhere and kills them. And instead of running away from the guy who is constantly trying to kidnap her SHE TALKS TO HIM. BECAUSE SHE IS A DUMBASS! Chikage starts talking about how all humans suck and the Shinsengumi are no better. Actually Chikage almost starts making a lot of sense minus the Shinsengumi being evil. So after Chikage explains what the hell is going on Toshizo shows up and thinks that Chikage killed that random dude. For some reason Chizuru is like DON’T KILL Chikage…like dude he has done other bad things before it’s okay to kill him.

This would be the correct way to protect your friend.

The two boys fight for a while as Chikage is all screaming. Chikage has to change into his oni form (which is white WITH HORNS) and starts kicking Toshizo’s ass. Toshizo totally loses his mind and takes the medicine so he can be an oni too. There is some more fighting and they are about to land death blows on the other but Amagiri and Yamazaki save them. Only Yamazaki uses HIS BODY! So Chikage and Amagiri run away because what is the point of winning a battle while everyone boo hoos over Yamazaki. Oh and they bury that random guy and Toshizo blames himself. So they make it to the place where their injuried were resting and it turns out the people ahead of the national army or what not LEFT and that is why there are no reinforcements. Oh and the entire Oni Army except our main characters are dead. Fun times. Toshizo decides that they have to retreat to Edo to get reinforcements. While on the boat Chizuru tends to Yamazaki. He tells her to take care of the others….AND DIED!!!! DIES PEOPLE! Everyone attends his “funeral” where they shove his body into the ocean and it is sad. But we see that Okita is still alive (but now sick AND injuried) so it’s fine. Chizuru gets depressed and wonders if people have died in vain. Toshizo says they haven’t and said the war has just begun. THE END…until Fall!

Oh okay. So instead of ending the series and making people mad we are just not going to have any ending at all. I see your plan. Oh we didn’t wrap anything up because we were planning a part two all along HAHAHA. Good job, good job. Only next time let’s not be so dramatic and show the entire series together.

This is the incorrect way to save someone my little ninja. If you have time to throw yourself in front of a sword you have time to throw a knife from a tree.

I knew that the cast was rather large coming into this show so I figured some people were going to die. Even though they have the power to turn into zombies I figured someone was going to bite the dust eventually. This is a show about fighting and battles and confusion. However I was hoping that the first causality (besides these nonimportant people) would either be Sannan or Kondou. Sannan because I hate him emo self or Kondou because…face it he isn’t hot.

:( My poor little ninja.

But deep down I knew it was going to be Yamazaki. He already was dramatic about giving Chizuru his medical notes and what have you. He already said his goodbyes. So we should have already known he wasn’t going to make it to the end of the series. But I am still sad. Sad that he couldn’t you know…killed or injuried Chikage instead. Or not to throw yourself in front of a blade but simply move your friend away from the blade. Bleh. Bleh I say. I was all NO he got hurt and I was like oh okay he can be a zombie too. Only that never occurred to anyone or Yamazaki didn’t want to go out that way. No no, the medicine can save Sannan but Yamazaki has to die. :( I am a sad little Tenchi.

Sure he looks like crap but he is still alive and that's all that matters!

But Okita is still alive ya’ll! He is all injuried and sick still but he made it to the throw the body out to sea funeral. I am not sure how much of him we are going to see in the next season. He isn’t getting any better but he is still stubborn. He might be the first one to run off to save a friend and die for them. Maybe he will defy the odds and Chizuru’s dad can save him with the new and improved zombie medicine. But I doubt it. :( My poor Okita. Why does Sannan WHO IS KILLING PEOPLE get to be okay and Kondou magically has recovered but he has to suffer still? RARW!!!

Again I have no idea what was going on in terms of baddies and factions. Just one huge mess in my head. Everyone sucks the end!

People are dead but Chizuru has her priorities straight people.

So it’s episode 12 and now Toshizo has decided to be a main character. That or everyone else was either busy being a zombie, injuried, or ACTUALLY FIGHTING. But finally we have an actual scene where Chizuru cares about Toshizo. People are losing their limbs and lives but Toshizo gets a tiny cut and she is all like I MUST TAKE CARE OF YOU. Also when people are dying we must be concerned that Toshizo has to pull the troops back. Something about man pride I think.

Why not just send the dude who was going to protect Chizuru alone?! WTF?!

Chizuru was 15 kinds of dumb in this episode. She is usually dumb but since this was the last episode of the season she went all out. And her dumb is contagious people. There are people out there with guns and you want her to go deliver a message? How about you should already have a plan in place to handle such situations. But I guess if you are depending on her you really are in a desperate situation.

Right Chizuru. How silly of us not to ask the people shooting at us what is going on. His bad.

But then Chizuru gets to this magical place of reinforcements and they get shot at. Now I am not expert on who is who in this series but it safe to say if someone is shooting at me chances are they aren’t on my side. Just saying. So when she was all failing about when she was being dragged away from the danger I was rolling my eyes. I rolled them so hard I almost lost consciousness. Yes you were sent to get reinforcements. However people are SHOOTING AT YOU at the reinforcement pick up spot. Stop acting like you can go back and fix the situation. It is time for running dummy.

Then to top off Chizuru journey into fail land she decides that she is best friends with Chikage. When exactly did this happen? I mean I know she is really, really dumb but why was she actually TALKING to him? Why was she telling Toshizo not to fight him? Why was she sitting around having a tea party during war time WITH AN ENEMY?! I have no words. Seriously no words.

I quiver in fear people.

The true face of an Oni is horrifying people. Really white hair and horns? I have no idea how I am going to sleep through the night! XD Sad to say it reminds me of the Walmart episode on South Park. LOOK UPON MY TRUE FORM BITCHES!

More dramatics I say!

Toshizo is now a zombie too. Which is good because the opening song showed him being one and it would be lame if that happened during season 2 instead. But I totally believe that everyone is carrying around that medicine at all times. It is so practical when your job is fighting, to carry around a tiny glass bottle. Toshizo was dramatic and now he is an zombie too. Which is a good thing because I heard the Oni Army got totally destroyed in battle.

Why is Sannan still alive?! -_-

The season ends with our remaining heroes getting on a boat to go to Edo. Not sure why people are still trusting Sannan as he is EATING people but whatever. Did I mention my boy Okita is still alive? That makes me happy. I am not sure how much longer anyone is going to remain alive as they are fighting with swords and their enemies are fighting with guns. But most of the cast is still together and that’s all that matters people.

So basically Chizuru came to find her father and she is no closure to her goal since episode 1. She is good at screaming when people are in danger and being around when drama happens. 4 of the main characters are now zombies, one is dead, and they lost a great deal of their nonimportant people. I can tell that season 2 is going to be uplifting for real! XD But as much as I mock this show the ride has been mostly enjoyable so far. I will blog the next season two provided my favorites are picked off right away.

But I will be praying that Chizuru stops being so damn annoying. -_-

Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan episode 11: Droppin like zombies

Oh okay crazy person.

I had planned on finishing up the series all in one swoop. That and it was only two episodes so it wasn’t like I was dramatically behind (like I am with other series). But then I watched the episode and my mind exploded and blogging two episodes at once was no longer possible.

This post contains a lot of WTF, screenies, and confusion. The confusion being I no longer care about who is fighting who. So if you know what is going on…that is amazing. XD But from here on out everyone is a Baddie. XD Enjoy.

As they wait patiently to attack...

Episode Summary: Heisuke goes flying through the air and makes an impressive splat on the ground. Chizuru is busy screaming her head off while Sanosuke and Shinpachi try to hold off the baddies. Suddenly Saito arrives because he is AWESOME and the group manages to escape. After the fact Okita is seen coughing up blood and being sad. Chizuru is seen tending to an injuried Heisuke and we learn that Heisuke took the medicine and has been turned into a zombie. Some people are pissed about this but the alternative might have been death. Then there is some historical crap about the troops and war and junk. Chizuru is at the well because that is what she does people, clean tea cups, and Heisuke comes out to visit her. He apparently is all better and is fine with being a zombie. Until Chizuru cuts herself like 5 seconds later and he goes postal. Sannan comes outside to be an asshole but gives Heisuke medicine to calm his bloodlust. But it shall return so things are not happy. Sannan says a few more asshole things and leaves. Okita is busy hacking away and Kondou visits him and things get slightly friendly. Toshizo also walks by so people know he cares.

KILL SANNAN PLEASE!

Osen and Kimigiku come to headquarters because they still want Chizuru. But now they want the Oni army too. Chizuru starts to waver but Toshizo is like NO my woman and they bounce. But the women warn the Oni Army might become too much for the Shinsengumi to handle. Oh and they also sing the Chizuru and Toshizo kissing in a tree song. On a mission to somewhere important Kondou is shot. Yamazaki appears out of nowhere to extract the bullet but things are still grim. Okita hears that Kondou was injuried and watches the operation. He crawls back to his room and wants to get revenge for Kondou. So he takes the medicine and TADA instant zombie. He runs out because some random person/group are shooting up in the air. Chizuru and Heisuke run after him but Sannan stays behind because he is an asshole (also he is killing innocent people and eating them XO). Okita finds the people who he thinks injuried Kondou and kills them all. Then Kaoru appears out of nowhere. TADA she is a boy and is pissed that he isn’t an important Oni because he has no uterus and his life sucks and he wants Chizuru to suffer. Also Kaoru is the reason Kondou got shot. Okita tries killing him but he has to protect Heisuke and Chizuru who took 4697 years to catch up. Also Okita learns that zombie medicine can’t heal TB. He gets shot twice with silver bullets and doesn’t heal despite being an Oni. Things are serious business and Kondou and Okita are taken to a real doctor. THE END!

Next season everyone will be a zombie woohoo!

Well our Oni Army got a real increase in numbers today. Or rather an increase in important members. Before it was just Sannan and his emo self with some red shirt nobodies. But now we got some fan favorites in this Oni Army and that is a bit much to handle. Let’s start with Heisuke though as his case isn’t as tragic.

I'm totally fine for real guys!

Heisuke nearly died from his encounter with Amagiri. Amagiri gets on my nerves because he acts like he is so noble when he is throwing people around. Sorry you are still a bad guy. But Heisuke nearly dies or would be unable to fight so he decides to become a zombie too. If he took the medicine because he was going to die I support it. But if it’s because he wanted to still kick butt then I roll my eyes. However since Heisuke wasn’t seen having an emo attack(coughSannancough) I would like to think it was a life and death matter. Does Heisuke deserve it? Well I am still mad that he ran off and left the Shinsengumi but I don’t want him to DIE. So it is hard to say.

The white hair creeps me out.

However it was the most dramatic thing in the world that Chizuru got cut five minutes after Heisuke got turned into a zombie. I can handle being a zombie MOG BLOOD. It was magical. But I guess my favorite part was when Sannan and his emo self magically appeared and taunted Heisuke before he took pity on him. Why they thanked him is beyond me. Also there are safe ways of getting blood into our zombie friends. Also feedings can lead to yaoi relationships so I approve. But Heisuke has to prove something I guess and rather go insane than nom some blood.

You have to live!!!

Okita becoming a zombie was sad but expected. The alternative was death so you know. Of course I rather him want to live and not want revenge for his newest best friend but alive is alive right? Only Okita was kinda dumb and took medicine from Kaoru who has proven to be a sneaky person before so you know…I guess Okita was trying to be strong with his death and felt too proud to ask for the medicine. After all he doesn’t want to be like Sannan.

And he's still screwed -__-.

But it turns out that the medicine might not be a cure all. That or Kaoru is a liar which wouldn’t shock me. So now my precious Okita (who at this point is the best love interest Chizuru has) is a zombie who is dying and has been shot by silver bullets. He was a bit special in not telling his comrades that OH HI Chizuru has a crazy demon twin who wants us DEAD but I will chalk that up to Okita being in love and trying to spare Chizuru. Because I make excuses for my favorites.

Saito is never late! XO Always right on time.

Saito is alive all is still well people. I’m not sure why Kaoru thinks Okita is the best swordsmen in the group. Clearly that is Saito and no I am not saying that because Saito is the best person on the show. I am saying that because he is constantly staying behind to be outnumbered and he comes out on top…and doesn’t get injuried. Then he shows up to bail his friends out and he takes those men all on too. So Saito is amazing. Sorry he’s late.

Kimigiku and Osen showed up because they can. It has been two minutes since someone talked about Chizuru so they had to. I am not sure why they thought it was the best time to come. Maybe they got a look at the new Oni Army and decided they wanted some hotties. Can’t say I blame them. XD But Toshizo has decided to wake up and start paying attention to Chizuru because oh snap other people want her too. I was really eye rolling when Osen was going on and on about Chizuru being in love with Toshizo. We the audience have barely seen anything between the two but Osen is like OH Chizuru loves this dude it is okay to leave her here. Crazy people.

It's so hard being a boy!!!!

Oh and speaking of crazy Kaoru. HOW SAD! I was treated horrible because I was born a boy. Boo hoo everyone feel bad for me. It must suck to live in a society where woman are treated like baby factories and not their own person and be born a man. THE HORROR! And what was Chizuru thinking, trying to forget about the past and move on with her life. XO How dare she spend time with the people who know how to track down her father. Okay that was one was reaching but you get my point. So this is how sympathetic I feel towards Kaoru. So sad for him.

Okay your life sucks too...

I would type more but I busted up my finger AGAIN at work and this time it truly painful to type. Sorry Kondou. You are just not that important. I will try to watch the last episode soon. XO How will things end for our heroes, especially since there is a season two? Will everyone become an Oni? Will Sannan ever die? Will Chizuru stop sucking?! XO Find out soon…or next season folks! Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan episode 10

Seriously guys, what is going on?!

XO Slowly but surely I am catching up with series. Not sure why I wouldn’t fully catch up but I find it easier to watch one episode a week despite being behind. Makes my head less explody this way. It is hard to blog when your brain is mush! XO

But here is my random post. The mood of this episode is slightly more upbeat than the last post. XD I wonder what that could mean. But there is still some random confusion on my part so don’t expect any real information on the different factions and bad guys as I can barely keep up with who is who. Just…pretend everyone is bad but the Shinsengumi, that’s what I do.

These men are so desperate for female attention...

Episode Summary: Chizuru is busy sweeping because that is the only thing she can do well. Shinpachi and Sanosuke arrive on the scene to flirt with Chizuru and let the audience know that the Shinsengumi now have a new headquarters woohoo! Elsewhere Itou is planning something evil while Saito spies on him and Heisuke lives in lala land. Yamazaki decides to stop being nonexistent and poses as a homeless man so Saito can pass him secret messages. Yamazaki then tests Chizuru’s loyalty and when she passes he gives her a book with all the aliments and medical histories of Shinsengumi. He also tells Chizuru to help Okita in case Yamazaki randomly dies. Chizuru replies that she will even though she acknowledges she sucks and Yamazaki shouldn’t die. Sanosuke is all pissed because he is getting blamed for a murder he didn’t commit. The dead person is someone super important but I am not sure why. Just it is serious business and the Shinsengumi are being blamed for the crime. Also it appears that tons of people know Saito is sick so I am not sure why it is a big secret.

This was all rather random...

Suddenly Saito returns because OH HI he was a spy. He reports that Itou is up to no good and is trying to frame the Shinsengumi and he plans on killing Kondou. Also he plans on telling the super important people about the Oni Squad. So it is decided that they are going to kill Itou and if Heisuke gets in the way well too bad. Chizuru is all OH NO and Toshizo gets pissed at her. After everyone leaves Saito is cryptic to Chizuru but shows his support is rescuing Heisuke. Toshizo and Kondou go to meet with Itou to discuss plans about fighting the baddies. Later Itou walks back to his headquarters and is killed in an instant. Saito and Chizuru make it to Itou’s headquarters to talk to Heisuke. After being told that Itou is planning on betraying the Shinsengumi Heisuke decides to cover his ears and go LALALA I can’t hear you! Then he gets word that Itou is dead and runs off to help. Itou’s men try to capture Chizuru but Saito offers to stay behind and give Chizuru time to escape. Itou’s men run to get Itou’s body but they are jumped by the Shinsengumi who wipe them out. Then TADA Amagiri and Shiranui show up with a bunch of men because this was all a trap.

Aw poor Itou. :( So sad.

So while all this random fighting is going on Kaoru decides to sneak up on Okita as he sleeps. She reveals that she is Chizuru’s twin and TADA have some red potion of oniness. Okita repays her by trying to cut off her head but she poofs away. Chizuru and Heisuke make it to the battle where the Shinsengumi are seriously out numbered. Amagiri promises that he will let everyone leave if Chizuru gives herself up. She eventually agrees but Sanosuke and Shinpachi are like OH NO Chizuru we got this. Oh and Heisuke is instantly forgiven and he rejoins the Shinsengumi. During the fight Heisuke loses his weapon in an effort to protect Chizuru. As a result he is seriously injuried by Amagiri and Chizuru does the dramatic screaming thing. THE END!

Instant forgiveness! Isn't it wonderful?!

Saito came back! It was all a bad dream people. The series is saved, everyone can go home now.

Never doubt me!

Okay so that was rather dramatic. But I am happy that Saito isn’t some evil scum who left Shinsengumi because of some lame ass reason. He was sent to spy on Itou’s obviously evil ass. I thought that was the case but I didn’t think both Heisuke and Saito were sent to be spies. So I will lie and say I never doubted you Saito!!! Thank goodness you weren’t gone for long. Of course it was kinda iffy how you came back so soon and I was hoping you weren’t a double agent. Then I remembered that you don’t like to show expression or talk….or look interested in anything at all so I chalked it up to being normal. XD

Yeah duh everyone. Of course he was a spy.

Saito better not be dead though. He was left with three red shirts to kill so he should be okay. Also he can’t come back just to die off screen.

So I hate you now. You have greatly disappointed me!

Heisuke is a different story. He sucks. And if he ends up dying from his injuries I will not be crying rivers of tears for him. I doubt he will die but whatever. He actually wanted to go off with Itou and find himself. Even after Chizuru and Saito came to inform him Itou was a lying sack of crap he was ready to fight against the Shinsengumi. Had Chizuru offered herself to the baddies who knows what side Heisuke would have been on. So Heisuke and his flip floppin self can go rot on the side of the road. Bye loser, have fun following someone who everyone hated for like 9 episodes and SHOCK it turned out that he was a baddie. You are not forgiven Heisuke.

This is so helpful let me tell you.

MOG Chizuru you were so useless in this episode I want to strangle you. Seriously. I think Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi was more useful than you and you HAVE a sword. You are running around with a sword and are acting like a complete useless waste of space. At the very least you could protect yourself from one blow right? But no, you are too busy screaming and almost getting kidnapped and causing people to be injuried because of you. But since Heisuke is on my crap list….it’s okay that he was the one injuried protecting you. However you still suck Chizuru. STOP IT!

Such a great liar!

Well the whole Kaoru was handled rather…randomly. And without any sort of surprise or big reveal. Not sure why Kaoru would want to save Okita when a few weeks ago she was helping people beat the Shinsengumi for guarding a sign. Okita already has access to the red potion of doom and his comes free of poison. Why would Okita want Kaoru’s potentially lethal(er) red potion? Maybe her dad has improved the medicine and he won’t turn into Sannan but there is no way Okita would know that. So this was all really random. Like HI I am giving you a potion you already have and let me slide into the conversation that I am Chizuru’s twin. So natural this conversation.

Brb finding my violin!

Itou is dead WOOHOO! Of course the way he died was super lame. Like…this entire series he has been this important person. Heisuke even thought he was worthy enough to join the Shinsengumi. So how is it he gets taken out without killing anyone first? Such lameness. But of course I don’t care because I am glad he’s dead. Ding dong the witch is dead!! Rejoice the masses.

Exactly. Don't be stupid!

Once again I have no idea what is going on with the factions and the baddies and what not. Just going with the flow here people. TO simplify things for myself I just pretend that the onis are using anyone who has a problem with everyone else as tools to further their agenda. Quite frankly all this back stabbing is more confusing than any soap opera. I am actually sorry for the people of Japan for having such crazy people in control of the country.

Yeah you better be sorry!

I am so confused why Toshizo is the main love interest. He barely has any lines let alone any interaction with Chizuru. But putting that aside I am not hating him this episode. He is doing what is best for his people. Saito went on a spying mission, Heisuke left them. Besides the initial hurt from losing a valuable member of their team to join forces with a questionable loser Toshizo did the right thing. They didn’t have time to find Heisuke and talk some sense into him. Toshizo was protecting the most people but Chizuru is too dumb to see that. So while Toshizo is a jerk most of the time today was not one of them. Sorry you get a bum rap.

Two more episodes to go people! Will Saito live? Is Toshizo going to get the girl? Will Chizuru stop being a useless pile of crap? Will Chizuru ever find her dad? Or are we in for a second season of this special show. XO Stay tuned to find out!

Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan episode 9

I got to go back to work today. YAY?!

No not yay. My feet hurt, I practically passed out because it was so hot, and customers were so rude. Why did I want to return again? Oh yeah I like money……..

Saito is so excited about this episode let me tell ya.

So in the theme of disappointment I shall blog about Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan. WOOHOO right? No. Not this episode. Sadness and anger are present in this post. Feel the anger with me.

It's a secret!!!

Episode Summary: Osen is all moaning and crap that Chikage is back in town and she hates him. Elsewhere Itou is planning something not so great but that should be expected. After the flower song some of our crew complains that Itou has been running around asking people to leave Shinsengumi and join up with him. Stupid right? Except when asked what he said Saito DOES NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!! While on patrol Okita jokes that he will join Itou. But Chizuru forgives him for his lame joke when he starts hacking and dying. We see Kaoru for five seconds. She sees Okita coughing and apparently that is important. One night Chizuru is attacked by a test subject Shinsengumi aka an oni. The main cast quickly arrives (fully dressed because no one has pajamas!) and kills him because he is not important enough to try to save. Sannan comes and says he is sorry for not controlling his man better. But Chizuru is bleeding which makes Sannan go insane. There is some drama but Sannan manages to pull himself together so he gets to live YAY. Only Itou sees Sannan which is bad since you know..Sannan is supposed to be dead. And Chizuru gets all weird because she doesn’t want anyone to see her wound since she is a self healing oni.

Itou uses the Sannan drama to defect from the group on the grounds that they are all liars. But SURPRISE Heisuke and Saito decide to go with him because THEY ARE HATERS. Needless to say everyone is hurt and full of anger. Saito is looking at the flowers and mumbling about changing with the times or some bull shit. BULL SHIT THAT YOU ARE LEAVING! Chizuru then goes to make Heisuke feel bad but that doesn’t go so well. He doesn’t know which side is right and he is the one who put Itou in the group to begin with. He had a lot of bull crap excuses and he doesn’t tell Chizuru he loves her so he sucks. So Heisuke and Saito leave with Itou and everyone has angry face on. But oh no Osen and her Kimigiku friend come to pay Chizuru a visit. Kimigiku is the geisha from last episode. Anyway yeah Osen is like give me Chizuru. The boys are like…no. Then Osen is like well I am an oni and so is Chizuru let me explain some crap you normal people. Chizuru is like NOOO don’t tell my secret!!!! So after the boys are told that Chikage wants to kidnap Chizuru so he can rape her and force her to push out some super powered oni babies and that Chikage will eventually crush them the boys tell the women to take a hike and they are keeping Chizuru. Chizuru decides she is staying because she likes boys too.

Because staying in the safe shadows is SILLY. Silly.

So some time later (probably later that night) Chikage and his two friends come to kidnap Chizuru. Sannan appears and goes BEHOLD my Oni Army. Only they get killed in like 5 seconds. Except Sannan because that would make me happy. So Shinpachi, Sanosuke, and Toshizo have to do all the fighting while Chizuru runs around being useless. The boys trade insults and crap but no one dies because heaven forbid the oni try to kill their real enemies. Chikage decides to end the battle when Chizuru gets all stupid and protects Toshizo from being squished. The boys decide not to yell at Chizuru for being a dumb ass and she is happy she wasn’t kidnapped and raped. The end.

At first I was like OH so Saito and Heisuke are going with crazy face Itou to spy on him. That makes sense. And maybe Saito is still planning on doing that. Yes. That is how I will spin the situation to make myself feel better. I probably should watch episode 10 but then I might be wrong and I will be sad again. So for right now Saito went with Itou to spy on him. Right? Because in those episodes where people were gossiping about Itou sucking he was there right? He kept this on the down low because he…never talks to anyone and because he is trying to protect everyone. I believe in you Saito.

You are DEAD to me.

But Heisuke?! I am disappointed in you!!! Maybe you are a spy too. At this point I don’t know. But I do believe that he believes in Itou after that speech he gave Chizuru. Makes me sick. I get that Heisuke is the one who is responsible for bringing Itou into the fold and vouched for him. But Heisuke has been with the Shinsengumi for a long time now and to suddenly decide that he has to go find himself somewhere else is crap. And insulting that he thinks he can only find himself away from the Shinsengumi and with Itou. Everyone has the right to feel hurt at his (and Saito’s) decision. When and if it is revealed that they are being spies Heisuke deserves to get punched in the head by Shinpachi.

NO DYING!

Okita is still dying. This is still sad. So we have two members gone, one is a sometimes oni, and one is dying. Things are not looking good in Shinsengumi land. I am not sure how Okita is hiding this from everyone but shame on them for not picking up on the subtle hints. Chizuru should have been a tattle tale and told by now. But I am still sad.

Osen and her home slice Kimigiku are mighty special. I like how they bust into Shinsengumi headquarters and start demanding they have Chizuru. Just slide that right into the conversation, right after the hellos and tea. I have a feeling that if they were men the Shinsengumi would have been pulling out their swords instead of going um…what do you mean? Also I laugh that Kimigiku was the geisha from last week. Special.

Wait......Chizuru is a girl?!

I also like how everyone accepted the existence of oni. Well actually it was special. At first they were like HA the existence of oni, that is SO crazy. Not sure why they would think that is crazy given that they make onis. If you can make something is it really a shock it might exist in natural? But then I turn around and mock them that they were like oh yeah they are oni. And so is Chizuru. Well who cares we can take them on because we are men!!!!!

I think that everyone was a bit special in terms of Chizuru staying at Shinsengumi headquarters. I think that both parties should team up and work together to protect the cross dressing oni who has no real powers. And since some of the Shinsengumi are either out being TRAITORS or are busy dying from some disease they need all the help they can get. But Chizuru wants to stay because she hearts Hijikata so we can’t be ruining that.

MOG why is so much time devoted to this loser?!

I’m tired of Sannan losing his mind. I am tired of Sannan in general. First he’s emo and whiney. Now he is semi evil and blood thirsty. I think that the Shinsengumi are really desperate to keep him alive. I don’t think they should keep any of the failed experiments alive but now they are the Oni Squad or something so who knows. But since Sannan is semi important he gets to live after attacking Chizuru and the other guy dies. Sorry nameless guy. You were probably more fun than Sannan.

Let’s see what else happened in this episode….oh yes Chikage and his two besties attacked Shinsengumi headquarters. Most of Sannan’s crazy men were killed so Oni Squad was pretty…useless. But Sannan didn’t die so it was SUPER useless. And since we are down in ranks on Shinpachi, Sanosuke, and Toshizo were able to help fight the baddies. Well Kondou was off protecting Chizuru because she sucks but he doesn’t count. So it was three on three after a while with Sannan being useless and Chizuru THROWING HERSELF IN THE LINE OF DANGER. Can you stop being so stupid girl?

Chikage kinda sucks. He is after Chizuru because he wants to rape her. Obviously he sucks. But he leaves the battle when there was a strong possibility that he was going to win the battle. Perhaps if they were actually trying to KILL the Shinsengumi instead of playing around with them stuff would get done. It’s been over a year! Doesn’t Chikage want to start his clan of oni children? Also it is just practical to kill your enemies. But baddies are often dumb with their Let’s announce of plans in front of the heroes….. Special little baddies indeed.

I am not happy. Episode 10 better have Heisuke and Saito kicking Itou’s butt and returning to everyone. OR ELSE.
