Guilty Crown episode 10

Apparently my cat took my mumblings about being cold seriously. She is currently trying to warm momma’s feet. Well that and trying to sit on my keyboard. Because I am taking time away from petting her little head. How dare my attention be divided!

On a side note I can’t believe it is almost Christmas. X__X Where does the time go? Oh yes at my work losing my mind. So in one week it will be Christmas and then in two weeks it will be 2012! WOOT! Let’s make this next year a little more positive than the last few weeks have been yes?

Good thing people have tons of time to be skanky AND insane.

Episode Summary: Gai and his team are trying to stop a bunch of trucks on the road. One can assume they are trying to steal back the rock they failed to get last episode. Shu is very important in their plan yet when his moment comes he is full of flashbacks of Jun and runs off screaming. Needless to say the plan fails. After the song Shu has flashbacks of the time before and after Lost Christmas. Someone is asking him to love her but 5 seconds later she looks like a scary crystal monster. Baby Inori is running around in a church and something bad is happening to her. Not good times. Shu wakes up in his secret hideout. He had called Hare to help him out and he has been hiding there ever since. She wants Shu to tell him what is bother him but he doesn’t seem ready to talk. Gai goes and talks to Arisa and her grandfather. They talk about the rock that started this all has been stolen and how Gai is connected to that person. When asked why he is in this war Gai explains it is for a woman. Yan (Daryl’s dad) is seen handcuffed to the rock while his assistant Emily throws herself on him. Daryl catches the two later and does not take this news well. Shu tries returning to school but has a freak out as everyone he looks at seems to be infected with the sparkle crystal disease. Hare takes him back to his special place and goes to fetch him some water. While she is gone (and watches) Ayase and Gai approach Shu and demand he come with them and help steal back the rock. Shu just wants to go back to his normal life and stop all this crazy. Gai threatens to shoot him to get back the king power but instead leaves all disgusted at Shu.

Such a serious answer.

Shu returns home to find Inori still there. She tries to give Shu a song to listen to but he sees her only as a sparkle cancer person and freaks out, calling her a monster. She leaves with tears in her eyes. While upset Shu thinks that this all might be for the best. Segai is taking orders from Dan to help transport the rock. He seems to be quiet and smiles to himself as things go underway. Gai is not doing so hot as he gets another blood transfusion. Inori comes in all sad and such over Shu and wonders if she is in love with Shu. Gai is pretty upset but the plan must go on. Funeral Parlor had plans to take over the plane which was supposed to house the magic rock. Shu’s momma questions why the captured dude stole the rock to begin with. Capture dude (Keido) talks about how Shu is involved with everything and has the king’s power. As Funeral Parlor breaks in without Shu Segai gives the orders (to AntiBodies) in inject themselves with a vaccine. Funeral Parlor is then trapped on an empty plane out of control and without the rock to show for it. Keido is then broken out of his restraints and activates the rock. A song begins to play all over Japan with devastating results. People instantly turn into rock people and fall apart. Several people have their condition worsen (aka Gai) while Inori starts screaming that SHE will come out because of this song. Shu, who had been hiding out and attempting to use Hare, grows nervous at this change in the air. He then realizes that Lost Christmas is happening again. THE END!

Well then X__X That was a little dramatic.

Photobucket

Yeah that is how I would feel all the time if I was Shu.

Overall I really liked how Shu was reacting in this episode. I don’t think he was acting like a wimp or over dramatic. I think he was actually acting NORMAL. Sorta how I feel about Yuki in Mirai Nikki. Well I think Yuki should follow the crazy person to protect his own skin but him reacting “special” to situations I can understand.

Photobucket

I guess that was pretty awful to see though....

First I was going to be pissed that they didn’t show the fall out to Yahiro and his dead brother. I did think we were going to have some sorta flashback, like Yahiro beating Shu up or something. But since they went above and beyond showing Shu’s metal breakdown I think I am okay with it.

Not to say I am glad people are suffering and having major problems. Just it looked and felt real to me. Not everyone is equipped for war. And Shu didn’t exactly pick to be on Team Gai. It was forced onto him. Of course anyone would be pretty negatively affected by war but for someone who didn’t choose to become a soldier I think it would be harder. Some people can’t mentally handle all the pain and suffering. Shu might be more sensitive than others so it is hard to blame him for being scared and confused.

Photobucket

Gai is great at negotiating.

Now I think Gai should have thought about that before deciding to give Shu so much responsibility. Yes Shu has an awesome power inside of him but Gai needs to have back-up plans. Yes everything miraculous seems to go his way but he needs to have another plan in mind that doesn’t include Shu. Or at the very least Gai needed to talk and help Shu through this rough time. Can’t just throw a hurt soldier back on the field. You have to make sure they are ready for battle.

Clearly the best thing for Japan is to kill half its citizens.

In regards to Shu seeing the sparkle disease in everyone….I wonder what that is all about. I thought maybe that had to do with him talking to Jun last episode. How Jun sees the evil in people now Shu sees the disease in everyone. But then at the end of the episode I wonder if on some level everyone is infected. This new Japan seems to have all the “sick” people quarantined and everyone is being watched constantly. Yet the magical rock was activated and people at random were getting sick. So was Shu just having problems dealing with the pain or is everyone infected?

Photobucket

Either way Shu is not having a lot of fun right now is he?

I guess it could go either way. Maybe the new people are getting infected because they were ALMOST infected last time but barely escaped. Meaning they were more susceptible to the disease. But everyone can still become sick. I wonder if the show goes on it will explain why certain people got sick first and why the second round people died instantly.

Either way I do not see how this will help Japan. But since I do not understand the mentality of crazy people I don’t pretend to understand the reasoning. It makes more sense why Gai wants to stop this so badly though. That is usually how it goes in animes, the son must undo the horrible deeds of the father. Can’t think of anything more horrible than this. X___X. But now Shu’s momma has been dragged into this and I don’t know what the point was in hurting her. In any event being a dad in this series is a bad thing.

Photobucket

It still could be heartburn. Too soon to tell.

Oh and now we know why Inori and Gai are so close. Because apparently Inori has another person inside of her and that is the person Gai wants to hold in his arms. Not understanding how stopping all this is going to help that person NOW but it makes more sense now. Not much but some. Inori doesn’t seem very happy about this other person emerging so this doesn’t seem to be a happy body sharing experience.

Photobucket

Faces are overrated anyway.

Which also confuses me because at the beginning of the episode Shu was having flashbacks of Lost Christmas. Now there is a picture of Inori with Shu floating around. But then someone is talking about being Shu’s big sister and that is a little oh okay. Of course this is Japan where being a year older than someone can make you a big sister/brother. If Inori is in love with him we can assume she is not his sister. But if I think it is Gai’s sister sharing the body things would get complicated yes?

Photobucket

Poor Gai can't get any action.

HMM upon a second viewing when Gai questions if Inori is in love with Shu he says “So you will choose him too?”. So maybe it is possible that Shu knew Gai’s sister…or friend and that girl choose Shu. Which would explain why Gai is so hard on Shu. Both because he is a leader and because it is hard placing all your trust in someone you hate yes?

Photobucket

Everyone was great at keeping this secret WEEEE!

In any event a lot of people are in trouble now. I don’t think Shu could have stopped this disaster from happening even with his mighty Void powers. Of course I think he will still blame himself but for the record I don’t think he is at fault. Too many plans were in place. The Antibodies were not only targeting Funeral Parlor but GHQ themselves. Does that mean there will be no more guts?!

Photobucket

Well I guess Shu isn't having much luck either with the ladies.

I think Hare was doing the best she could in this episode and yet her feelings still got trampled on. Not that Shu was in the best frame of mind to make good decisions. He was clearly being a broken baby bird and Hare was trying to make it better. I do like that Hare was strong enough to say HEY I don’t want to be second best and don’t use my love to hide your pain. Overall it is hard to be mad at Shu but he was clearly wrong with his treatment of Hare.

Photobucket

WEE I want to see Inori acting crazy.

What else what else…I do think that Shu should be more weary of Inori. Doesn’t he still have a broken heart from her deception? Also why the hell are the girls running around practically naked while the guys are dressed reasonably for combat? Just crazy. At least Inori doesn’t have huge boobies…I guess that is a plus.

Photobucket

Oh and now Shu has no home. Probably not anyway.

Next week should be pretty bad for everyone in this show. Japan was already having a hard time recovering from Lost Christmas and it has been 10 years later! What will happen now with the second wave? I think chaos will strike everyone and there will be no turning back for many folks. Poor Shu. :(

True, even though Shuu is a jerk for making fun of a girl in wheels chair, taking advantage of a classmate who loves him, he is a fairly normal person.
I would hide myself in the bottom of a well if I were in his shitty fate. LOL. Being treated as a criminal in a quick turn of event, being pestered by a crazy terrorist's leader, being loved by a creepy scarface, betrayed by his classmate and dragged into unnecessary mess, etc.
But it's really scary how your prediction of Inori being an alien is about to come true. Otherwise, why would she resonate with the meteorite and creepy melody which kills people one by one?
:-)

Eternia- Inori has been 156878 kinds of strange since this show has started. Really I am surprised she wasn't the rock that started this all.

Also if Gai didn't want Inori to fall in love with Shu TOO maybe he shouldn't have sent her as bait. XD

Gai really needs to work on helping the people who work for him. Yeah I know he has a lot on his plate but to throw a civilian into war with little training will not end well. Shu emotionally can't handle all the crap that he is going through and Gai is like oh how about I threaten you with a gun to make it all better. Someone needs better people skills! XD

Yeah, I won't give him passing grade for leadership and management lecture. LOL.

Eternia- Maybe Gai should have taken a McDonalds leadership class or something. How to be a great shift leader and make excellent fries!
