Hamatora episode 6

 photo hamatoraepisode613_zps6ef37bbd.jpg
Spoilers for Bromance!
Post number three, blazing right through. Even though it didn't look like it I was attempting to do some blogging while there was skiing and skating on my TV. You know, in between the commercials and Bob Costa's boring eye story. Just actually finishing any one post was difficult. Like concentrate you silly person. Even now I wanted all these posted earlier but ABC family has distracted me with their line-up of Disney movies tonight. Stop distracting me!!!! Up now is Hamatora episode 6. Spoilers for Birthday and Moral declaring their love for each other.
 photo hamatoraepisode62_zps1fd2106e.jpg
Look at me making my obvious villain face!
Episode Summary: There are lights and cameras everywhere. The press is interviewing a young artist named Chiyuu. Her artwork is kinda creepy but she has just got a movie collaboration with some famous American director. Yay celebrations. Birthday is watching this program at the hospital waiting room. Ratio finishes up with a patient (using his Minimum) and the patient praises the doc. Ratio enters the waiting room and asks Birthday how his appointment went. Birthday is like meh my condition is the same. He then changes the topic to their artist friend Chiyuu on TV. Then Birthday and Ratio get a phone call from Chiyuu's manager Black. Turns out this interview is a few hours old, that Chiyuu was kidnapped right afterwards. Ratio and Birthday are like why haven't you gone to the police if she was kidnapped? Black says Chiyuu asked him never to go to the police because if something like this happened it would probably involve someone close to her. Oh I see. Elsewhere in the city another dead natural Minimum Holder has been found. The 11th one according to Mr. Gasquet Doc Killer. Apparently Honey and Three have been called in on this case and Honey wants to know why Art hasn't informed Nice and the others about it. Art gets super pissed off by her line of questioning and makes excuses. Eventually Gasquet tells Art to take a break because he is making a fool of himself. So Art decides to visit his brother's grave and is surprised to see Nice there. Apparently everyone else has already stopped by to visit judging by the items left but there is one thing left that they have no idea who left.....They pay their respects anyway and Art asks Nice to go lunch with him. Nice declines, saying Art is keeping something from him and he (Nice) doesn't want Art to feel pressured or accidentally say anything. Meanwhile birthday has gone to super popular (but mainstream) artist Misty's signing bring Chiyuu's work. Misty gets pissed and Ratio joins them for questioning. It is determined that they think Misty has kidnapped her friend Chiyuu. That Misty was the other person up for this movie collaboration. Misty is like ya'll better check yourselves, I sell way more than Chiyuu. Please be steppin. Birthday and Ratio make a few more snide remarks but don't step. They eventually go to Misty's home where she tries to ignore them.
 photo hamatoraepisode614_zpsb2dca7be.jpg
Um....I am sure Birthday will be fine....
Back at the cafe Nice runs in to find his people upset that he was wrong about some TV special involving a famous artist. Doesn't matter though since Famous Artist is drinking some coffee right there in the cafe. Apparently he has something important to say. Back at Misty's place Birthday gets a phone call (probably Nice) and takes it outside. He is then hit on the head and kidnapped. Ratio keeps on talking to Misty, trying to get her to crack. Misty eventually confesses she is semi jealous of her friend because her work is so much better than hers. All that Misty does is generic crap. But she is also so proud of Chiyuu and would never harm her. Ratio gets some spidey sense feeling and goes outside to find the kidnapper, saying to bring Misty along to this address. Ratio first investigates Chiyuu's industry building while Misty worries that Birthday is dead. Ratio is like Birthday promised me he would never die!! Birthday wakes up to see Chiyuu all kidnapped and concerned over him. Birthday says (while trying to move and make a signal for Ratio) he promised Ratio to live no matter what. It is flashback time. See once upon a time Ratio was considered a creepy kid because he could see what was wrong with people and if it was severe enough tell them they were going to die soon. Ratio did that enough times where people started to avoid him. All his classmates were scared. All but Birthday who was like stop pretending to be all col and shit. Ratio takes one look at Birthday and sees the kid is super sick and is going to die like tomorrow. Birthday is like you watch me. I will live and if I do then the creepy you has to die. So Birthday has the procedure and despite no one believing lived. Ratio cried as the creepy him died and he gained a friend. So now in the present both Birthday and Ratio finish telling Misty and Chiyuu this story of brotherhood. Birthday manages to make it to the circuit board so he could use his lightening powers. Ratio sees it and drives over. It is revealed that manager Black kidnapped Chiyuu and hired Ratio (because he was going to kill Birthday) to deliver Misty to this location. Then Black was going to claim Ratio kidnapped Misty and set this all up because Chiyuu paid him to. Why all this foolishness? So Misty would be his new client and he could make more money since her work is popular. He figured Misty would be down for this lie but it turns out she was telling the truth, Chiyuu is her friend. Ratio is worried about injured Birthday helping but they both fight. Black reveals (of course) that he is an acquired Minimum Holder and his power is to harden. Only by combining their power could Birthday and Ration summon Captain Planet. Or you know injury Black enough for him to flee. But Nice and Murasaki were close by and help capture Black. Yay friendship. Later it is revealed that Moral has the power to change his appearance and he is able to sneak in somewhere that only Dead Doc had access to. XO What will happen now? Oh THE END!
 photo hamatoraepisode619_zpsf0b47f66.jpg
Caught up? Please. I broke into this place weeks ago.
See guys. I am actually almost up to date on some animes. Just...finishing them is the problem due to the Olympics taking up all my attention. All my focus where my crappy reality shows I can just half focus on. And how dare I be busy at work!! Working at work? Awful, I have anime to blog. Even if the anime has questionable graphics at times....
 photo hamatoraepisode6_zps31fd65bc.jpg
Something is not adding up for Nice here.
So starting off...I guess I didn't summaries the first few moments of the show did I? Oh well. It was of Nice looking down from the spa and wondering how this random masseuse had a Minimum power. Maybe all children are placed in the Academy to be tested. That or kids who show promise are. Just that anyone who DOES have a Minimum have been to the Academy and that there should be a recording of it. No one falls through the cracks so Nice is confused. Because Art has some 'splainin to do and hasn't done so yet. The person who does know all about the cases is Gasquet. Poor Art. How frustrating to know he is mistrusting an actual friend while the person he is confiding in is killing off the Doc and what not. I am not even sure if Gasquet is a real person anymore. Given the end of the episode Moral was shown having either a cloaking ability or shape shifting ability. So maybe the real Gasquet would never have betrayed the force but he is dead. I don't know if my idea is farfetched or not. That maybe Moral has to touch or personally kill someone to become them. So where or not Gasquet is a separate person or not might not be the point for now. Maybe later. But the point now is Art is being lied to and Moral can become the Doc and break into things. Now I need to think if Art has been with Gasquet all the times Moral has been seen at the same time.
 photo hamatoraepisode63_zpsdc6496af.jpg
Something is on TV? Surely it will be apart of this episode. These are magical TVs....
That was a very tiny part of the episode though. Moral is one handing out powers but the main focus of this episode was art. Not Art but art. A young artist named Chiyuu is going to have a movie collaboration with a famous American...person. I am not sure how this is going to work. Producers are usually well known for live action movies in America while Studios are in the cartoon/animation business. So...it seems...rather impossible for me to wrap my head around. That isn't important though. Well my confusion anyway. Because every single little part of every episode is connected in some way. If it's on TV then it will play a role in the crime of the day.
 photo hamatoraepisode64_zps5ddd4a1e.jpg
Thanks for the details there Birthday.
Birthday is watching said program while waiting for Ratio to finish up with a patient. I wonder if Ratio even bothered to get his doctorate. Seems like a waste if he is just a general practitioner and he can automatically see what is wrong with a person. Still Ratio is praised for another correct diagnosis, with the patient not knowing Ratio's actual ability. Since Ratio was in that horrible commercial he is known as a Minimum Holder so...what do people think his real ability is? He does wear or has metal hands....Either way Ratio finishes up with his patient so he can make fun of Birthday while at the same time asking how Birthday is doing. Because Birthday has an illness. Mr. Live for the Moment has a reason to say that. Birthday is all like it's fine, lets talk about our mutual friend who was just on TV. You know, 5 seconds before her manager calls us. Just one big circle these episodes.
 photo hamatoraepisode65_zps465d5391.jpg
What is that smell? Is that bullshit?
So why is Chiyuu's manager Mr. Black calling Hamatora? Well obviously because he is a dumbass criminal but more on that later. It is because Chiyuu has been kidnapped...an actual crime that the police should at least try to solve before going to Hamatora. No offense. Apparently none taken as Birthday and Ratio question that too. They should be questioning why everything around them magically becomes a case but...you know...drama. Mr. Black's lame excuse is lame. That Chiyuu doesn't want to involve the police because if someone does kidnap her it would probably be someone she knows and ruining that person's life would be so sad. Because Chiyuu can see into the future and knows who is going to kidnap her and Chiyuu is so Japanese and doesn't want to cause problems that she will forgive the kidnapper. Alrighty then what a lovely case.
 photo hamatoraepisode67_zps03c28e4e.jpg
More people means more help to solve this case. So obviously I want no help!
So while Birthday and Ratio try to figure out Blue's Clues more dead Minimum Holders are popping up. This makes number 11. I am surprised that real Minimum Holders haven't started hiring bodyguards or something. That this hasn't reached some higher ups at the Academy. Me thinks Moral is more of a loner. Like by the way guys the class reunion this year is going to be a bit smaller than usual. Despite Art wanting to keep this from Nice and the gang he has decided to include Honey and Three. So Honey and Three work for the police and just know Hamatora? Anyway Honey is like this is some bullshit, you should tell Nice. Since Art can't really explain why he can't tell Nice he comes off looking a bit crazy. Honey doesn't know what's up so she is pissed while Gasquet dos know what is up but is pushing buttons and pretending Art is crazy for shits and giggles. So Art takes a magical break from the case giving Gasquet/Moral more chances to kill people.
 photo hamatoraepisode69_zps9347c1ce.jpg
Seems like these guys are real friends. Wonder if this brother will be important later or if he is the first of meaningful deaths.
I know when I am feeling stressed and down I seek relaxation by visiting dead people. Maybe the death happened far enough in the past that this is actually soothing for Art but I don't think so. Seems recent if everyone is leaving things at the grave site. Even Moral. Nice was there paying his respects too. I like how Nice knows Art is being..well not a liar face. More like a hider face. But yes Nice knows Art is keeping something from him and is okay with it. There is no weeping and gnashing of teeth. More like....okay I understand this is your job and you can't tell me everything. I understand friend, no hard feelings. I think Art might be feeling a little guilty now....
 photo hamatoraepisode610_zps2be5c2fd.jpg
Look at me being all calm and stuff despite you "omitting from me.
So while Nice is off going back to the cafe and meeting with another famous artist (who might actually solve the case but isn't important at all) Birthday and Ratio think they have solved the case. Onward to another famous artist's booking signing. In case you haven't notice the theme is art today. This girl is named Misty and it turns out she is Chiyuu's friend and was up for the same movie gig. Only Chiyuu got it instead. Hmmmm folks what could be going on here folks? Jealously? That Sailor Moon episode with the magic pencils? Misty claims this is not the case and points out that she sells way more pieces than Chiyuu. Now begone fool beasts.
 photo hamatoraepisode611_zps5ea7a29a.jpg
Being jealous ain't a crime. Use your brain, this is all fishy.
Birthday and Ratio instead follow the girl either to her home or office. Misty should have called the police. Like hello my friend has been kidnapped and there are people stalking me. I mean, maybe Misty thought she was next. Perhaps Misty assumed they were the police and that's why she didn't call for help. XO Do Hamatora go around pretending to be the police?! Illegalness! None of this really matters as Misty folded like a poorly made house of cards the second Birthday went to take a phone call I mean get knocked on the head. Because Ratio is definitely the guy I would want to talk to, to open up to with my deep, dark feelings. Misty isn't guilty of anything besides good old fashion jealously. Sure she sells tons of pictures and what not and is super popular. But she wants more. Before I break into a Disney song...I guess I can see Misty's point. Chiyuu might not be rollin in the dough but she is not mainstream. She is different and unique, drawing what she feels like while Misty draws what the masses like. Perhaps not what she likes but what sells to otaku. So while she would love to be the one with a movie deal I think she was happy it went to Chiyuu. Her friend and a true artist. So you can be happy for your friend and jealous at the same time AND not be a kidnapper.
 photo hamatoraepisode612_zps9d8508e3.jpg
Poor criminals....too stupid to live.
See because the real kidnapper just got Birthday as he went to take a call from Nice. Although it almost looked like a scene from Scream where the killer calls to lure the victim outside. While Ratio was having a questionable heart to heart with a girl who should be a little more upset that her friend is missing and she's the main suspect, Birthday was getting hit on the head and taken to where Chiyuu was. Powers don't matter if you are hit from behind. Because the kidnapper is oh so smart he calls Ratio right away and gives away his location. In the most obvious way. Criminals are always near railroad tracks or noisy birds, something that gives away their location. Onwards to the desperate search for Birthday. Oh and Chiyuu. I think Ratio forgot about Chiyuu the minute Birthday went poof and left a puddle of blood instead. Birthday was “okay” but Ratio didn't know that. Instead of talking about each girl they were currently with or how bad the situation was both Birthday and Ratio decided to explain their bromance. Birthday means so much to me, I can't die and leave Ratio. Any thought of maybe hooking up with these guys flew out the window.
 photo hamatoraepisode615_zps92881ed6.jpg
And then a tiny friendship was formed.
Back when Ratio was a tiny nerd he really didn't have control of his mouth. Not his powers mind you as they are not dangerous themselves. He just hadn't learned how to censor himself yet. Always saying exactly what the problem was. Usually you are going to die soon. Yeah people don't like hearing that from a kid. Maybe a doctor and maybe in a more tactful way but not a kid. So I don't think people were scared of Minimum Holders at that time...just Ratio. All alone he is in the world. No friends for him. Until one day a classmate came up to him and basically challenged him. Like who are you to tell people these things? The kid in question was of course Birthday who was dying himself. I am sure he had been told all his life about his condition and was struggling hard to prove everyone wrong. I am sure he wanted to help Ratio...not be so lonely as well. Like I will take away the stigma that has been placed on you. If I die you are a creepy kid. But if I live then the creepy you has to die. Almost like Birthday was giving Ratio an out and giving himself a reason to live for someone else. Now of course Birthday defied the odds but is still...well the condition still exists and can return at anytime. Thus Ratio worries and Birthday does his best to live everyday to the fullest.
 photo hamatoraepisode616_zpsaa7c2fe8.jpg
So....you is really dumb?
During this magical walk down memory lane that no one asked for Birthday manages to use his powers to signal to Ratio where he and Chiyuu were and you know...lead them to the kidnapper. So I am not sure how much luring there natural was. The kidnapper was...Mr. Black. Yep Chiyuu's manager. Are you ready to roll your eyes folks? He plotted all of this so Misty could work with the famous American director. Because in his mind Misty makes more money so wouldn't it make sense to follow the gravy train? I mean...this criminal is obviously a dumbass. Chiyuu might not have been as popular before the movie deal but she might have really taken off afterwords and been more popular than Misty. So all of this was totally unnecessary. Instead Mr. Dumbass plans this elaborate scheme to make it look like Chiyuu and Murasaki stage her own kidnapping to hurt/kidnap Misty and Mr. Black was going to save the day/expose his own client, then let Misty take her dream job for the movie. See it all makes sense when you are a dumbass. Too bad Misty was actually Chiyuu's friend.
 photo hamatoraepisode617_zps92698d43.jpg
Easy breezy beatings.
Thankfully that Mr. Black didn't start to do push-ups. Birthday and Ratio get to work kicking his ass. Because obviously Mr. Black has acquired some Minimum powers from Moral. His ability is to harden his body, like that one dude from the X-Men. It makes it difficult for Birthday and Ratio to attack him. Especially since Ratio is still worried about Birthday hurting himself. Eventually the two decide to work together to fight Black. We are an awesome team forever and ever yay! Oh and Murasaki and Nice show up as the 3rd famous artist from earlier gave them a tip on what was probably going to happen. So convenient, especially when Black tried to make a daring escape on a boat. You aren't villain enough to do that crazy. So....yay for catching stupid criminals?
 photo hamatoraepisode618_zps26db1bf8.jpg
Moral either needs to find better people to give powers too...or he should be applauded for not giving powers to crazy people.
I think that is about it for this episode. Ratio really, really cares for Birthday. Ratio and Birthday act more like a team than Murasaki and Nice. Art is being forced into taking a break from the case so Gasquet can help Moral be sneaky. Moral is the Doc now, poking around thing he shouldn't. What is he up to now? I am sure he wants more info on Nice but why? Guess we will find out next time. See ya then!

Hamatora episode 5

Again sorry with the lateness of all these posts. Given the Olympics and my job being oh so special it has been hard to keep up. Yeah I know work is for work but we have been so unbelievable busy lately it has been...well frustrating to say the least. I got yelled at today by a customer for eating LUNCH. 10 minutes folks. I don't even deserve 10 minutes. So while my co-worker is reading books on easy street I can't take 5 seconds to use the bathroom without people strolling in demanding their clothes be done in the next hour because MOG don't I know who they are?!
 photo hamatoraepisode68_zpsd4a7d37f.jpg
Spoiler alert: We do not want him to use his power....
Putting that aside...more anime posts! Number 2 tonight weee! Up now is Hamatora episode 5. Spoilers for....a really, really special episode.
 photo hamatoraepisode62_zps02114a84.jpg
Every tiny bit of every episode is connected to one large case. Always.
Episode Summary: Hajime the ever hungry enters a lottery like system thingy in hopes of winning one of the loser prizes, a hamburger. Instead she wins a trip to the onsen. She is sad and Koneko is overjoyed. Everyone gathers at the cafe and Honey acts like she is doing Hajime a favor by going to the onsen. Birthday points out that only girls seem to be picked for this trip and that is unfair. Koneko fails to see the point and Birthday acts special. When he gets too special with Honey Three steps up to kick his ass. Ratio gets a call for a job and temporarily stops Birthday from being killed. It appears that Nice and Murasaki also have gotten a job which will keep their minds off not going to the onsen. They enter the very done up house of some cougar lady. She wants the boys to find her boyfriend Hasuda. Apparently he has done her wrong and as one of her many boyfriends she will not tolerate this. The boys are about ready to leave when the cougar says Hasuda works at the onsen. Suddenly they are on the case. Elsewhere Art is trying to stay alive by buying up all the energy drinks ever. Gasquet tries to tell Art to take it easy but when they see a blatant shoplifter they set to work. The girls have reached the onsen and all Hajime wants to do is eat the special dinner. The Hamatora ladies run into the girl from the awful teacher incident who needs cash along with Theo. Theo eventually runs int Nice and Murasaki who are looking for Hasuda but find Three instead who claims to be here to guard Honey. Suddenly there are loads of fabulous men taking over the onsen by force. But instead of being captivated by all the lovely half naked women...they demand they leave. The men guarding the locker room for males are in heaven. Nice and Murasaki make quick work of the ones attacking them when Birthday and Ratio show up as their case was here too. Out of the shadows emerges Hasuda who is behind this all. He unleashes his mighty Minimum on everyone. It is......sweating and releasing pheromones into the air. With his mighty situps. Everyone finds him a joke so Birthday approaches him. He instantly falls in love and Ratio becomes infected too when he tries to save Birthday. The rest of Hamatora flees with the infected party.
 photo hamatoraepisode613_zps00362171.jpg
I hope no one else would ever think to do this. Ever.
The girls of Hamatora have stayed in the building as some people have been injured. Well their pride at not being sexual harassed. Hajime actually uses her powers to fight against the thugs although all I know is it involves gum. Honey tries to see what is going on with her powers but all she is sees are gays. Birthday and Ratio finally recover and reveal that their mission was to protect a foreign Prince who is here on vacation and didn't want a bodyguard at this lovely onsen so he hired...these people. Oh what will happen? Well Hasuda finds the Prince alone in the bathroom and the girls in an effort to sneak around end up in a locker room where they find a photobook full of pics of the Prince. Hasuda does some sit ups and gets the Prince under his control. He reveals (and later the girls from Hamatora chime in) that his idol (the shoplifter from earlier) has fallen from grace. He was involved in a big sex scandal that also included Ms. Cougar lady bringing him to his knees when he didn't listen to her. Hasuda swore revenge, against Ms. Cougar (by sleeping with her to get access to her stuff) and the world. He is going to convince the Japan loving Prince from a made up country to get Mr. Shoplifter reinstated as an idol using his influence. Because it all makes sense. Once everyone gathers and hears this story...it is morphin time. Due to the floor being wet and the men not being able to approach Hasuda things do not go well. The thugs from earlier are touched by Hasuda doing this for his love and try to protect Hasuda by turning themselves into human torpedoes. Hajime chases Hasuda outside as he was about to kill himself to protect the thugs AKA the rest of the Shoplifter's fan club from being in trouble. Hajime saves him...but only to save her food voucher that got stole/lost earlier. Gasquet shows Mr. Shoplifter all that has gone on for him and the former idol cries tears of happiness and hope for the future. By the end of the episode the police Doc or CSI has come back with some news. Mr. Wannabee Pop Idol from last episode might be mighty dead but he still has his brain. Yet he thinks the same man, serial killer is involved. Doc suggests to Gasquet that Pop Idol was not a born Minimum Holder, he had been given the power and such his brain could not be harvested again to get said power. Gasquet looks interested in that information...then stabs Doc in the back with an evil look on his face. You will never know our real plans HAHAHAH villain laugh. THE END!
 photo hamatoraepisode63_zps862ae7af.jpg
Can there be less talking and more saving?
….What did I just watch? I...I don't even know. Just...insanity. Like I wrote this episode myself when I was hopped up on Code Red and pixie sticks. Complete with yaoi colored glasses. Not to mention the art was a bit...C-team this week. That probably added to the insanity.
 photo hamatoraepisode6_zpsbab72d06.jpg
Just so much joy on her face.......
First things first. It looks like Honey and Three also work for Hamatora. I know they were in the opening theme song. I just didn't know they belonged. I guess it would make sense if naturally born Minimum Holders were all friends. You know, maybe going to the same school. Or because in theory there isn't that many of them. But since everyone is insane and barely gets along I don't know. Everyone is a Minimum Holder, although it might just be a recent explosion of them given the brain issue. Maybe back in the day they were harder to come by....Glad to see all these Minimum Holders are living the high life Shouko. Just...so much amazingness for these people.
 photo hamatoraepisode6_zps3b5a529e.jpg
Because boys have cooties duh!
So...back to the actual beginning part of this episode. Hajime and her never ending quest for food is hungry. So she enters one of these promotional lottery things. You pay a lot of money and spin this little machine. What color marble you receive determines the prize. Now Hajime wanted to win the lowest prize because it was a hamburger. Well because life is unfair because she won a spa trip. For three people. Now not counting Mr. Grind the Beans cafe Owner I count 8 people, you know since Mr. Lion face Three and Honey showed up. A trip for three and there are this many people....sounds like a lot of people are getting left out. Birthday was quick to say take me and forget Hajime the actual winner. I don't think Hajime would have minded (well unless she knew about the dinner voucher) but it's the principle of the thing. Hajime won. Stop being selfish Birthday. He does seem like the most...energetic of the bunch but yeah....annoying is annoying at times. Perhaps Three and Honey are only branch members since Birthday said he hasn't seen them in a year. Birthday forgot that Three is very, very protective of Honey. And no one cares enough about him to save Birthday from Three's wrath.
 photo hamatoraepisode64_zps5f023866.jpg
So....you are the exact opposite of a hooker?
In the middle of Hajime's spa trip invitation only decision making (in which the girls were like um no boy cooties) two jobs were called in. Ratio and Birthday went off and were not seen for a whole. It was mainly focused on Nice and Murasaki as they went to see a rich cougar. Um yeah Courtney Cox she is not. People should age gracefully, not overdo it to the point where they look older than they are. Anyway this is a wealthy, older woman that wants Nice and Murasaki to spy on her boyfriend. One of her boys. ONE. Because she pays young men to please her and remind her she is still hot. I guess the reverse is true/good too. Although most woman aren't in a position to climb to the top like men are. Anyway Nice and Murasaki seem uncomfortable following ONE of her boyfriends around. Like look lady you are cheating on him too. But suddenly the boyfriend works at the same spa that the ladies are going to and BAM they will take the job.
 photo hamatoraepisode66_zps889e0996.jpg
We are here to have fun by being naked, not eating!
This spa by the way....is odd. I guess when I think of a Japanese onsen I think old timey looking building surrounded by nature and the spa areas are outside. This one was a giant ugly building. I am sure it was nice and fancy inside but yeah....just looked odd. Must cost a pretty penny. The girls were very impressed. Well Honey and Koneko were as Hajime just wanted to use the food voucher. I must say getting naked and bathing in public doesn't sound very relaxing to me but what do I know? I do know every single event in this show is connected so clearly the girls were not going to have a relaxing spa trip anyway.
 photo hamatoraepisode65_zps28dbdfa9.jpg
It takes a lot of effort to look this amazing.
So Murasaki and Nice are tailing some random man/boyfriend at the spa and Birthday and Ratio are on their own mission that will enviably be connected to the first case. So what is Art doing? Well he is driving around with his partner whom I better name. Or refer to by name. Gosh that's so hard. His name is Gasquet which I assume I will never be able to pronounce correctly. They are off trying to solve the case of Moral who is finally laying low after killing the Neet last week. Art might actually want to take a break from all this work but instead he buys gross drink supplements looking things to keep going. Gasquet wants his younger boss to take it easy but when someone shoplifts right in front of your face duty calls. You would think a man stealing a random magazine would have nothing to do with the onsen but it does.
 photo hamatoraepisode611_zpsf7f3ca15.jpg
Oh yeah and Hajime used her powers....see?!
Before the girls can hop in the onsen they discover the girl from the awful teacher case works there along with her now (?) boyfriend Theo. Theo runs into the rest of the gang, the boys, and that might be scarring himself for life. I think that Nice was trying to explain why there were there and to see how the kid was doing while trying to figure out why three was there. All at once. I don't know why Three was there. Just to protect Honey from...no one? Because the rest of the team was there so..you know....there could be more action later? Oh yes the rest of the team was there too. Birthday and Ratio? Um hello how are you? Did we all want to go to the onsen that bad we had to all make excuses? I see then. Oh wait, you are on a mission? What is it?
 photo hamatoraepisode67_zps31fd0961.jpg
Why won't you molest us!!!!!!!
Then BAM!! Insanity happens. Quite literally. The onsen is taken over by fabulous thugs. Usually in cases like this it would be perving all over the girls changing time. Instead the girls were thrown their clothes and to get out. Like remove your boobies and vaginas from our presence. No no, the real winners of this hostile take over where the thugs taking charge of the male changing rooms. I think the sexual harassment could have been taken things a little further if they wanted it to be on par with what woman usually face. Instead it was comical. Hilarious.
 photo hamatoraepisode69_zpsc426990f.jpg
So so awkward....
During all of this the men of Hamatora are basically useless...I mean formulating a plan while Hajime and company manage to stay in the building despite the vagina and boobie status. Theo shows himself again and now he is with (or kidnapped by)....the baddie Hasuda, the massage therapist who Nice and Murasaki were supposed to watch. Now...this is where more insanity takes place. Hasuda has taken over the building. He must be up to something no good. He must be a Minimum Holder yes. Be on your guards guys. Or...or....you can allow to do...push-ups? For a long 1 minute? One minute is a long time in anime land. He is like behold my minimum holder ability!.......and got on the ground and did some sit ups. Maybe everyone was so...shocked from the insanity all they could do is stop and stare. Like oh...there is a half dressed man threatening us and now he is doing push-ups. I see now. I almost got second hand embarrassed watching this. Like MOG stop...or I will have to fast forward.
 photo hamatoraepisode610_zps3a1039bc.jpg
Don't go towards the pink light!
For the record these massively awkward sit-ups did have a point. Because remember these Minimum Holders are like the X-men without the convenient abilities. See his ability is to seduce men with the smell of his sweat. Yeah excuse me while I barf and die. His scent got caught in the steam at the onsen and he could control a lot of people that way. I am not sure the thugs were all under his spell though. I think.... Hasuda and the thugs were in the same “club” and they were supporting his efforts. All the other men in the onsen, including Birthday and Ratio who got too close, were just....extra. Extra on the gay pride parade float. More of the insanity includes the fact that no one really tried to harm Hasuda nor did Hasuda attempt to harm Ratio and Birthday once they were in sexy lala land. Make love, not war.
 photo hamatoraepisode612_zps823f2d42.jpg
Good thing you didn't leave him completely unguarded.
There was temporary retreat to get Ratio and Birthday back to normal. As normal as things are going to be now since they are going to have nightmares about being bottoms in the sit up orgy parade. How about you tell us why you guys are here? Oh you guys are here to guard a Prince from a magical country that doesn't exist? Anime has a lot of those you know. Small countries with dark skin royalty who love Japan. This Prince super loves Japan but wants to experience it without all the body guards and fanfare. So...logically someone hired Birthday and Ratio to not pay attention to him at all. Like how is this happening? Whoever hired them should be fired. Or get a refund. They were shooting the breeze with the others. Or...not looking for the Prince like should have. One sneak off and other fight Mr. SitUp.
 photo hamatoraepisode63_zps1bb8e55b.jpg
Covering our noses would just make sense so just stay back!
I think I might have passed out or blocked out what happened next. I know everyone was slowly making their way to Ass. Hajime was using her...unexplained power to protect Koneko and that other girl. Oh I think Honey did something too, I remember her eating the little lollipop. Put things in your mouth and get some powers. All the boys were tracking down Hasuda. And then it turns out Hasuda found the Prince hiding in the bathroom. No one else in the building was a real threat or had powers, Minimum Holding powers anyway. There were all in this for another reason.
 photo hamatoraepisode62_zps2e31fc86.jpg
This is the most elaborate and stupid plan in the history of plans.
And what was that reason? Are we sitting down folks? Because....every single piece of this episode went together. Everything. And our heroes combined information to...blow our minds away. Or our sense of reality. Hasuda is Ms. Cougar boyfriend. But he doesn't like her. Or any woman. No no, Hasuda likes men. And has a crush on a certain idol. You remember that shoplifter from earlier? Yeah he used to be a “famous” idol. Super famous. But like most idols in Japan Mr. Shoplifer was under heavy scrutiny. Like no love life for you. Mr. Shoplifter.....sorta lost his mind and his penis got him in serious trouble. Like 19 people idol scandal. It was involving the Ms. Cougar lady and apparently she caused Mr. Shoplifter his career. Because the Japanese take the idol industry seriously. Like their idols are supposed to be “pure” so the fans can imagine themselves with them. Here in America, we tend to accept pairings and we forgive more when famous people mess up. But not Japan.
 photo hamatoraepisode615_zps3dfc31be.jpg
I am just so happy and confused.
So...to break this down...Mr. Hasuda is Mr. Shoplifter's number one fan. All these fabulous thugs are Mr.Shoplifter''s fans. They want him to reach the top again. They are going to kidnap the Prince and use Hasuda's Minimum to influence the Prince into becoming a Mr. Shoplifter's fan. The Prince will then influence the Japanese government to reinstate and back up Mr. Shoplifter. This would please the Japanese government, Mr. Shoplifter would be back on top of the idol charts, and.... Hasuda would be in jail? Yeah I am not sure how he thought that was going to work out for him. Maybe he was going to sneak out undetected...until Hamatora showed up. Putting it all on the line for an idol that doesn't really know him. Ah that's love folks. True love.
 photo hamatoraepisode614_zpsec21801b.jpg
Is this really happening?
While everyone digests this insane plan...things get a little desperate. In an effort to protect their boss Hasuda's men....slide on the ground. Yes slide folks. Water got everywhere and the grunts were turning into little...projectile missiles to stop the Hamatora men. Like if Jaws was a comedy instead of a horror movie. I mean...it was 15 kinds of special. Just...no one was trying. Hajime ends up saving the day and surfing on one of the thugs. At the time it looked like Hajime was trying to save Hasuda who was going to commit suicide to protect his fabulous men. But all she wanted was the food voucher. So...yeah folks. Ain't no one getting paid.
 photo hamatoraepisode616_zps8f3420d4.jpg
Yeah....didn't see that coming....
So what does any of this have to do with Gasquet and me learning his name? Well he was there when Mr. Shoplifter was apprehended and was all like see, people do care about you, don't throw your life away. Then Gasquet goes to talk to Doc (whom doesn't need a name anymore) about the Moral case and the dead Neet. Doc tries talking about his this killing is connected to the Minimum Holder case but the Neet still had his brain. Meaning you can't give the Minimum Holder ability from a person who was also given it. The person has to be born with it for it to be transferred. Gasquet is like oh interesting....STAB!!! Like out of nowhere just stabs Doc to death. Sorta like Saw Part 15 when the cop goes bad. Like really, where were my clues? Gasquet get a crazy look on his face so...yeah. He is working with Moral. Probably gives him the addresses to all the Minimum Holders in the system. Instead of being worried about Nice Art needs to worry about his partner. Are Nice and the gang next on the hit list? Guess we will find out next time. See ya!

Hamatora episode 4

Why hello there my poor, neglected readers. It is I Tenchi. I have emerged from the Olympics and February Holidays/Adventures to bring you tidings of great joy. I have not abandoned blogging. Just life has been super busy lately. The Olympics only roll around ever two years and I try to devote as much time to watching the sports despite being the most nonathletic person on the face of the planet. You know...national pride, people coming together, yay world? So yeah....blogging was hard when I was focused on nail biting moments and crashes and success. Add in two Birthdays, Valentine's Day, and Disney Trip and look it is March! March!!!
 photo hamatoraepisode412_zps7e899771.jpg
I ask that all the time....
So if anyone is still here....ready for a lot of posts? I have three more to finish up but about 9 anime episodes ready to go. So far behind and a lot to do. Let me get started right away. Up now is Hamatora episode 4. Spoilers for questionable art and giant boobies.
 photo hamatoraepisode410_zps54f55955.jpg
Because I trust the wrong people duh.
Episode Summary: A very badly drawn Moral lights his room and....well flames on fire again. He is talking about how it is all worth it if he can go up against the greatest Minimum Holder of all....Nice. Art and his people are shocked that Moral would go through the trouble of erasing all this evidence after Art accused him of it all. Elsewhere there is a young girl at a hotel typing on the computer when the phone rings. She wants to answer it in a crazy way and her Lion faced companion basically kills the phone. The girl is named Honey and the Lion Face dude that NO ONE stares at is Three. Three is outside watching someone give a speech from far away stating it is time. Honey and her giant boobies takes a bit of her candy and starts clicking away on the computer. Nearby there is an assassin on the roof going to shoot said speech man when Honey and Three appear. Apparently Honey can see 10 minutes into the future with her Minimum and computer combined. The speech man is saved yay! So......there is a commercial being played and it stars Koneko being attacked by the monster kid from last week. The Minimum Holder gone wrong if you would. She is screaming about the monster going to clean her toilet when suddenly Nice and the gang arrive to save her super hero style. Because their job is to keep their city save so come and visit! A nice propaganda commercial in case people were scared of the events from last week. Murasaki has decided his life is over due to this commercial and how low he has sunk while apparently Nice was enjoying the attention. Not only does Murasaki think the commercial was beneath him but he felt all his coworkers sucked and his superhero name was lacking. Ratio is not present to hear this rant as he is at his real job, being a doctor since he can see what is wrong with people.

This episode was brought to you by cute little animal biscuit treats.
The scene briefly cuts to Honey and Three who were called by Art to help with a job. Honey seems excited but hates Three reading manga while Three wonders why Art would ask them for help. Then it is back to cafe de insane as they all wish (minus Murasaki) that this video reaches number 1. Number 1 currently belongs to this new kind of idol, one of the people, as he is doing...well idol stuff. He suddenly became super popular overnight. Koneko interrupts this idol explanation to answer the phone. The crew has a job....helping out at a nursing home. Murasaki is like NOOOO! Honey and Three are at the airport, coming back from their job and on their way to help Art when Honey realizes that her suitcase is missing, the one that has her magical computer in it. At the same time (because this episode is bouncing all over the place) Art and his partner get a call about another young youth using a gun in a crime. These types of cases have skyrocketed the last few days, with the kids claiming to get a gun in the mail by answering some email they just magically knew about. Art sees Nice running after a gun trying to get his money back and decides to clue him on what is happening. Apparently all the kids have been told to start something tomorrow at 6 which seems to be confusing to all involved. They will just be told the orders. Nice is more concerned on why the police painted the mutant kid in such a bad light via the commercials. After Nice walks away the Partner asks why Art hasn't told Nice about Moral yet. Moral is still conflicted as both Nice and Moral said the same thing about the mutant kid. Back at the cafe (my poor brain) Ratio has arrived and vetoed the nursing home acting job. Birthday is like meh we should do lots of things in life since life is so short. Ratio asks Birthday not to talk like that. Back at the airport Three goes to report that Honey's suitcase is missing when she is kidnapped by a bunch of regular people. She doesn't seem that scared, only annoyed and that these men are in for a world of hurt. Three realizes what is going on and uses his power to....I don't know, steer another car into the one that kidnapped Honey. He uses his Bible to rip the car to shreds when he catches up. He makes quick work of the baddies and he and Honey find tons of gun parts inside said car. Back at the cafe shop with no customers the rest of Hamatora is wondering how this magical website just appears in people's heads. Then as if a miracle happens Koneko suddenly knows the email address/website and the pieces start to fall into Nice's head. He does go and visits his...random friend outside the restaurant and apparently Art is told of the situation but his boss doesn't want to send out tons of cops and cause people to worry. Art is frustrated but Nice explains how the popular video of that new idol has a secret recording in it. One that only kids under 15 can hear about the gun. The gun parts were shipped in view souvenirs and the men that kidnapped Honey were trying to get their correct suitcase back. Now that Honey has her suitcase back she locates the part of town that the kids are supposed to take over with said guns. Apparently all these kids were threatened into going through with this mayhem. Hamatora arrives in time to stop the kids before anything bad happens. Art and Nice make their way to the house of this so called idol. Well about 30 minutes before they got there said idol was pissed. See he asked Moral for a Minimum and his was....the ability to hide his ugly appearance. But he is upset that Moral used his video to do such awful things. Mr. Idol is going to call the police so Moral shot him in the head. It appears he decapitated the man too but left his brain. Art and Nice arrive on the seen to see the real culprit has gone away and this was all one big game. THE END!

Oh yeah the dude who looks like a lion....
So....yeah. I sorta have to remember what happened in this episode. I may or maybe not have watched this, got busy with the Olympics, and then watched episode 5 before blogging episode 4 and then blogged said episode 5 first. So...um...in the corner of my mind....are medals, snow, and skis. Yeah when the Olympics roll around I am later than usual on stuff. Sorry. Let me sit back and try to remember.
 photo hamatoraepisode4_zpsd4f7d70a.jpg
Oh Art, keep your cards closer next time.
Okay I remember they reshowed Moral and his questionably drawn self cackling as he burnt down his place. Which looked more like a mansion than....whatever I thought it was. I guess I thought Moral was stationed at the Academy. I mean....I guess that would be dumb. It looked too big to be his personal residence but not big enough to have the floating brain library. Surely he wouldn't set his pets on fire. He was covering up something but that was quite a few brains. I don't know. The point is Art tipped his hand too much, letting Moral he knew who he was and poof goodbye proof. Mr. Partner wanted to bring Nice in on this investigation but Art is still bugged out that Nice and Moral thought Mr. Mutant kid was having fun. To be fair both were...off their rocker to say that and it's hard to blame for Art being weary of the situation.
 photo hamatoraepisode45_zps4df8bfd7.jpg
And then Murasaki killed himself.
So while Art is off not trusting anyone and falling behind this brain stealing case....Hamatora has been busy. Super busy. Not with a case persay. Well I am sure it paid so we can consider it a job. Yes a job. And the job was to be....Minimum Holder Super Heroes!! Like look at us, dressed up to save the day, to promote how safe this part of the city is. Come visit our lovely place. Sure we might have giant mutant teenage boys running around but don't let that bother you. We got a bunch of young men who can fight them. TADA!
 photo hamatoraepisode49_zps166f416e.jpg
You okay there Birthday?
Yeah it was special. I think Murasaki has the right idea, laying his head on the table and wishing a rouge asteroid would slam into his body. Of course he did do the commercial too. He might be super hard up for money for some reason and that's why he gets mad at his partner for taking on lame jobs. Or maybe the commercial wanted all of Hamatora and it was peer pressure. Still we learned a bit about the crew from this commercial. Besides that Murasaki hates his life. We learned that....everyone knows about Hamatora. At least the general public. Yes well to do Minimum Holders are in high positioned jobs and are probably well known. But the general public knows about...the not highly successful Minimum Holders. I guess what I mean to say is no one really fears these guys. They might not be getting the best jobs all the time but there are known. And are popular enough to be in a commercial. Look at these wonderful men that keep us safe. Also this might have flown under the radar but it looks like Birthday might be a bit sickly. Ratio wasn't super happy with this job either but Birthday is like live in the moment, who cares if it is silly. But then he made a serious face. Like yeah we need to live in the moment because some of us might not have many left. So...something is wrong with Birthday yes?
 photo hamatoraepisode42_zps871a23aa.jpg
Meet Honey's boobies and Honey.
While Hamatora is all off being sad and not pointing out that Hajime never helps with any of the work we are introduced to two other characters. I am not sure if they belong to Hamatora or the police force. They did say it was weird the police asked them for help later in the episode but they were asked instead of Hamatora and they were far away at the time. Yet both these new characters Honey and Three are Minimum Holders and not baddies and know Hamatora so I would think they would belong to that group. Loose friends that help out sometimes anyway. By the way no one ever, ever mentions Three's face. I can say that because as I type this I have already seen and blogged episodes 5 and 6. Yeah that is how special I am. I get that main characters who know Three wouldn't say anything about his...face but the general public you would think would notice. What with mutant kid getting all the headlines and suchies. But yeah never mentioned.
 photo hamatoraepisode416_zpse37ccbce.jpg
So.....just get a messenger bag and keep it with you at all times?
So what are Honey and Three up to? Because typing this like the episode aired would be way too confusing. I swear this episode was all over the place. Honey and Three were on a job to protect someone from being blown away. Honey's ability is to see into the future...by ten minutes...with a help of her computer. Basically she has to type in a specific location and she can see what is going to happen there in the future. The very near future. This job was perfect for her as she knew where the speaker was and how people could take him out if that is what they wanted to do. Easy breezy boss lady. Now one would think if this computer is so important for her....Minimum Holding abilities she would...oh I don't know...put it in her carry on. Never leave it off her person. Nope it got picked up by someone else and she was kidnapped because they wanted it back. Had these losers just came up to Honey and switched she would have been happy and relieved. Instead they caused a scene which made Three use his Bible Minimum to kick their asses and find the gun parts. Just keep your cool next time guys and things will work out.

I think someone needs a timeout.
Back at cafe de BossGrindstheBeans Murasaki is still wailing about how this commercial is the worse thing ever. I agree but he went a bit too much. I mean he hated the concept and the fact that he was in it and that everyone else sucked. I mean...maybe he should have directed if everyone was going to be amateurs about it. Everyone seemed to ignore him or find joy in his sorrow. They talked a bit about how this was the police's way of covering up the Academy not being on the up and up. The serious portion of the conversation lasted about 3 seconds because the group wanted to know if their video would reach number 1. Because that is the important part people. Everyone was slightly bummed to see that there was a different video at number 1. Despite our cultural differences people all over the world want to be famous. Even if it is for a small or....lame reason. The number one video right now is someone just dancing and being cute. Clearly this will have grave importance later in the episode, just you wait.
 photo hamatoraepisode48_zps3d6727a0.jpg
And you get a gun and you get a gun!
Art and his partner are actually doing some work. I guess they get paid regularly so they should work regularly right? When they are not looking at the ruined remains of Moral's home/work area they are off arresting teenagers. Teenagers with guns. Now this wouldn't be such a big deal but this is Japan. Home of no guns. Well few guns I should say. Teenagers in Japan aren't knocking over liquor stores and joining gangs. They are too busy rolling their skirts too short and not flossing after they eat. So when a rash of crimes break out with underaged people with guns...it is a big deal. I am not sure if Art would have told Nice otherwise about this crime. Like if Nice hadn't been walking near him I am not sure Art would have told him. Because he still hasn't mentioned Moral and I am sure in the back of Art's mind everything is linked to Moral. Nice seems to listen a lot but then he takes the conversation in another direction. Like were you behind the commercials making the mutant kid an Outsider? In the end Nice was listening and did help but still. Art is going to grow to not trust Nice at all and I don't think Nice can stop being himself to make that otherwise.
 photo hamatoraepisode415_zpsfe503210.jpg
The non-epic shoot out with 15 year old kids at the helm.
So if we put together blue's clues Honey and Three accidentally find people trying to smuggle gun parts into Japan. Art is on the case of many kids randomly having guns. Guns sent in the mail to them as they just magically knew an email address off the top of their heads. Didn't know where it came from or who sent it. What could this be, what could this be. Well thank goodness Koneko is the same age as all the kids who had the guns. Hajime might be as well but since she is too busy stuffing her face every scene she would have never been able to help. Popular video, guns, and bad kids. Apparently they are all connected. This new popular video had a hidden message that only dogs and little kids could hear. It was basically telling kids to be bad and use guns. I think some kids might have sent in for a gun out of curiosity but then got caught up in the insanity and were blackmailed into committing crimes, which would have culminated into a big..shoot out. I am not sure who these kids were going to shoot but I think if I was going to create havoc or an army I wouldn't pick some random kids with no aim. Honey was able to pin point the location as Nice thought this mass shooting event would take somewhere public, sorta like the mutant kid episode did. Good thing there are only a few highly populated areas in Tokyo.
 photo hamatoraepisode414_zpsa3311257.jpg
I don't think his wish was to give lots of little kids guns....
So who was behind this elaborate hot mess? Well surprise it was technically not the idol. His video was used to get the message out but it was not his fault. He was just a lonely looking Neet who was not blessed with good looks. Moral and his grab bag of brains gave him a Minimum that allowed him to change his appearance on camera. Then you know...Moral put a message into the video about gun violence and hired people to deliver said guns to the youth of Japan. Why? Because he can folks, because he can. It is all for fun. Hmmm reminds me of another white haired baddie last year who was just awful things just to see how far he could push it. Doing the most good is not his motto. I am not sure how the wannabee idol found out about Moral's plan. Hopefully Art didn't call when he tracked down the kid because hello stop showing your hand. But the idol did find out and attempted to notify someone when Moral shot him in the head and chopped it off. Well it looked chopped off. They didn't show the bottom of the screen for a good reason I suppose.
 photo hamatoraepisode417_zps062f6955.jpg
Beautiful until the end.
So where does that leave us? We got two more members of Hamatora to learn about. Moral is....well cutting out brains and handing out powers to people to show...that people with powers are crazy? Oh wait no because he loves them that's right. Every single piece of every episode will be connected in this series. And Murasaki hates everyone. Oh and Birthday may or may not be dying of some disease that no one cares about. Because there are commercials to make and people with scary teeth to catch. Now if only Art would tell Nice and everyone the truth....well until next time!
