Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 10 FINAL EPISODE

There is no Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica today. Woe is my soul. I understand that with the tragedy that is going on in Japan things are going to be delayed. But it also sounds like the episode wasn’t going to be ready anyway? I understand that blackouts are happening in Japan but shouldn’t the episode be…done? I didn’t know that the show was still being made after it started to air. I thought they created the whole show and BAM it aired.

But apparently this is not the case and in any event we are not going getting episode 11 for a while. Not sure if my tiny heart can take the suspense but I shall. In any event XO I am all caught up with Hakuouki Hekketsuroku now. XD Not sure if anyone still cares about this series but I am glad to be caught up. I don’t like leaving things unfinished.

And he looks o so happy about it too!

So in any event…on with the finale. Spoilers for Chizuru…being useful?!

Bring the count up to TWO!!!

Episode Summary: After the snow melted the New Government comes to the tiny Republic Island of Fail to kill all our heroes. The forces get split with Hijikata leading part of the group. Hijikata makes this face that some would call a smile and tells the troops they will win. AND THEY DO! Truly it is a miracle. He does have to reprimand some people who were acting hasty as they were taking his LOOK AT ME DIE role but overall he is happy. But the other half of the troops fail at protecting their position forcing Hijikata to pull back. But before that happens Hijikata gets all weak and Chizuru insists that he suck her blood. You would think after all this time he wouldn’t put up a fight. Eventually he sucks her blood in the most ineffective way ever. They make it back to base camp with Hijikata is reunited with eyebrow dude who gets to live while all the hotties die. Keisuke shows up and promises to also fly the Shinsengumi banner because of their warrior spirit. Hijikata is pleased and decides to show off his new found love of people by talking to the troops.

Nice knowing ya buddy.

Later everyone either has a celebration party or we are going to die so let’s get drunk tonight party. Hijikata rather spend the night getting tea from Chizuru. There he sorta reveals he loves Chizuru and he will live on for her. They have a weird kiss and everything is AW. The next morning Keisuke’s troops are ambushed and Hijikata goes to help. On the way he is shot and Chizuru drags his body away. She tries to tend to his wound but he keeps on bleeding and she screams his name about 1829 times. She eventually kisses some of her blood into Hijikata’s body and things look like they might just suck. Eventually Chizuru starts dragging Hijikata back to camp. On the way they see a big sakura blossom tree and they talk about their love and stuff. Chikage is like AW how sweet time to die. Hijikata decides to fight despite being injured because he has something to protect now. There is fighting and Chikage has the advantage the entire time. Hijikata keeps getting up though and Chikage decides that Hijikata is not a zombie oni but a real one. He bestows upon him a real oni name and Hijikata then stabs him in the heart out of gratitude. Hijikata then falls to the ground and dies in Chizuru’s arms. Chizuru thinks back to all her dead friends and how they must be all together in heaven. It appears that Hijikata wipes away her tears but no go folks. Hijikata is dead. THE END!!!

Well folks.

REJOICE!!!!!!! Saito is still alive. WOOHOO! Having a party over here in the house of Tenchi. I was all boo hooing over his death but according to history Saito and Shinpachi live through this train wreck. Shinpachi is surprising. I thought maybe he show up at the last minute. But apparently he was out for good and had plans to really leave the whole mess behind with Harada.

Which I guess is sad in a way. Okita was clearly pissed at Hijikata but still came back to help out. One would think with all the warrior spirit talk Shinpachi would have come around and splattered his body to increase the death count. But maybe this was a more realistic view (in a show about onis and dumb girls living til the very end). Not everyone thinks the same way about issues and Shinpachi represented the HEY not liking this portion of the group.

Well...you might have an oni name but Saito got to live YAY!!!!

But Saito is alive. Which is nice. Because he is my favorite and all. But I think out of all the hotties he had the most loyalty in him. Sometimes it got annoying with all his warrior spirit talk. It is okay to talk about other things my friend. But overall he was the quiet strong type flying all over the place and slicing people. The cutest moment of course was the clothes on wrong issue. XD Yay Saito!!!

Obviously Chizuru is an oni fish...

But since this show didn’t cover Saito or Shinpachi’s apparent survival I guess it is time to talk about the demise of Hijikata. Sadness fills my little heart. Probably Chizuru’s more since all she got out of him was two whole kisses. I be pissed too if that is all I got out of a relationship that took me like 2 years to build.

But Hijikata had to die. Because it is history or something. That and the rest of his people died for him and epically said TAKE CARE OF HIM CHIZURU! And since Chizuru couldn’t keep a cactus alive obviously Hijikata died. This show was a downer folks and everyone had to pay their dues.

So romantic!!!

I think I have said about 2389 times that I am truly disappointed in how this was more a historial anime and not the zombie oni piece I was promised. But this show also pretty much failed in the romance department too. We got like 19 episodes into this series (seasons 1 and 2) before Hijikata stopped actively hating Chizuru. And in this episode he barely got out that he loved her before he died. While harem romances have been overdone in an anime that has like 8 guys and one girl I was expecting….more. And we never got it.

Clearly losing his mind.

Hijikata’s personality really changed the last two episodes. Before he didn’t even seem that close with his boys. But now he is all laughing with strangers and hanging out with them all casual like. That is how he should have been before. Now when things are super serious maybe it is not time for the booze and the laughing. Before maybe. Now not so much. Almost like Hijikata lost his mind and decided since he was going to die he was going to at least give people a smile before they all splatted on the ground.

I wonder if Hijikata and his people really ever thought they had a chance. They were a tiny little group of people hiding on an island. The new government had other COUNTRIES helping them. I really hope they didn’t believe they had a chance and were all just fighting for honor and to make a point that not everyone was happy about this new way of life. Which was probably best in the long run. Not that I like piles of dead bodies but the people were freed from oppressive rule and had representation and all that fun stuff.

Oh crap I thought Hijikata was immune to bullets.

So they lost the war. And Hijikata FINALLY got shot. After all these fools rushing into battle when people are SHOOTING at them one of our heroes finally gets SHOT. This is where Chizuru finally proved to be useful. I almost died of shock. Her carrying Hijikata was XO. Like really, she wasn’t a hindrance at all during Hijikata’s path to death land. She has been useless this entire series but in the last episode she…dragged Hijikata’s body across the forest and gave him some blood. Yay.

But I carried Hijikata so I am more useful than a rock now yes?

Not once did Chizuru use her sword in an actual useful manner. Maybe she was just carrying it around for endurance training.

Good thing this was a fair fight Chikage.

The battle between Chikage was pretty damn useless. His entire plot in this series was useless but I was expecting more of a battle and an explanation on how Chikage was dishonoring the oni name by fighting Hijikata. I would have thought killing false oni would have been a good thing but obviously I was wrong. But Chikage was super dramatic with giving Hijikata his oni name (LOOK the name of the series) and it all ends with Chikage dying on purpose. Or it looked like it was on purpose to me.

At least he died somewhere pretty.

Having won the battle with Chikage Hijikata dies. Because after declaring he had something to live for and protect dying is the logical choice. See I am not sure how much protecting my husband would be doing if he was dead. And since Chikage was alone with Chizuru and didn’t hurt her I am not sure how much danger she was in. But Hijikata had some man pride going on so he had to fight. Besides he was bleeding to death and was probably already on his last leg in zombie oni mode. Better go to out with a bang I suppose.

Chizuru was awfully calm about the entire situation. If my boyfriend had just died I would be sobbing all over his dead body not thinking fondly of all the other dead people that have left my life. I wouldn’t be like OH they are all flying the banner in heaven and all is well. No. Not all is well. You got two damn kisses out of this cold hearted fool and he dies from a bullet wound, a stupid fight with a crazy oni, and probably reaching the end of his life force from drawing too much energy in zombie oni mode.

What a happy ride this has been...

A lot of people have said they cried at this ending. I think the deaths all came together way too soon. Like there was no time to mourn. It was like OH we are reaching the end of the series, time to kill off everyone. And the battle with Chikage was way too rushed. However even if I didn’t hate Chizuru I think it was best that Hijikata die. I don’t think he could have lived on after they lost the war. With all the honor stuff the men were always talking about it was best for him to go out a warrior instead of dying an old man who couldn’t win a battle to save his life or beheaded as a war criminal.

Ya'll should have just died together. That would have been more romantic.

So folks…Chizuru sucks. This show was perfect for history buffs not those expecting a lot of hottie fighting over a girl. And Chizuru sucked so bad even if I wasn’t a crazy yaoi girl fan I be pairing those boys up with each other just to save them from Chizuru. However I think I am glad I stuck with this show as I did learn a bit of history and overall I expected my anime horizon by watching such a downer/war like anime.

And Chizuru sucked. That can’t be said enough. The end.

Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 9

My thoughts and prayers are still with Japan and the tragedy that has hit them. However I am thankfull things don’t seem as grim as the media paints it to be. People living in Tokyo have been blogging about how life really is in Japan. Granted Tokyo wasn’t hit hard or is suffering as ground zero of the tsunami it is reassuring to know that not all of Japan is in total chaos and suffering.

With the recent events programing in Japan has been a bit hit or miss. Anime of course is probably the first thing to get sent to the bottom of the pile so it should come to no surprise that many shows have been postponed, at least for now. While I am all X___X about waiting any long for Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica episode 11 I understand. Just hope the content stays the same and things don’t got X/1999 hiatus on us.

Oh yes. So happy.

Anime makes my day happier though. Without anything new to blog I will catch up on shows that I had previously fallen behind on. Although I am not sure how happy I will be blogging Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 9. We are running out of hot guys folks. That means Chizuru is going to talk more. Help me Lord.

There are only a few of us left, don't kill the rest of my red shirt army!!!

Episode Summary: Hijikata and his new right hand man with the mustache go to Ezo (I believe) and actually WIN a battle. They throw out the new people and declare it the Republic of Oh Crap We are in Trouble. Hijikata thinks back to how their fighting style had to change since the beginning of this craziness. Chizuru is back wherever Hijikata left her and she is going up a hill to tend to the fallen comrades. While trying to pay her respects Chikage comes around and acts like an asshole. He says she is a loser, that Hijikata left her, and says it would be against oni code to fight Hijikata anymore. But then he says he is going to fight him more. OKAY!

The Ghost of Tea Times past.

Hijikata has no time to celebrate as they lose their best ships in a very stupid way. He is also not having fun dealing with being a zombie oni and not having blood to feed on. He even starts to miss Chizuru which obviously means he is crazy. But people start coming to this new land and maybe there is hope for them. Keisuke was worried about Hijikata so he sent for Chizuru. Chizuru gets there and Hijikata is mad for 5 seconds…and then hugs her. He now has a reason to live or something. Chizuru promises to help him in this situation and Hijikata is like woohoo one of my friends is still alive. Then there is some weird scene where Keisuke pretends that Chizuru would make an excellent wife and Hijikata is like no she is MINE!!! Chizuru yells at Hijikata for not taking care of himself and Hijikata LISTENS to her. There is a plan to capture an enemy boat by ramming into it and taking it by force. This ends well. But at least Hijikata is alive folks and Chizuru is there when he arrives back home. Hugs for all. THE END!!!!!

I don't even know what this crazy crap is folks X__X.

…..This show kinda loses its spark when it only has Hijikata being all emo like. I was only in this for the hot guys and right now Hijikata is looking like a broken old man. Go me.

Hijikata can't even win against the rocks and water.

However now that I know what is (sorta) going on history wise I can stop being optimistic that things will end well. Instead I can just go X__X over how many times Hijikata is going to lose. Seriously I would be giving up at this point. How many people you have left from the original crew dude? Does anyone even want you fighting for them?

In though things are looking pretty grim and Hijikata is the poster boy of emoness…it would be nice if he showed some lingering sadness over his dead friends. Like all of them. We got Shinpachi who maybe died when I wasn’t looking and that creepy eyebrow dude. THAT IS IT! But he is too busy wearing new clothes and strategizing with people who are taking the Western culture thing too far to mourn over his dead friends properly.

Or maybe he is just being a boy. Maybe men can get over the deaths of all their friends faster than women. That seems like it would be necessary in a time of war. Or maybe I am just too sensitive. I can see getting over all the nameless nobodies but…I don’t know. Maybe he is too busy throwing himself in his work and is forcing himself not to think about everything. It’s hard trying to think like a boy.

I want to know whose graves Chizuru was tending to. Not that I am bashing her for that. I just want to know is Okita was considered in the area of sad. HE BETTER BE! If her father, the main problem for half of this show, gets a grave then all my hotties (and not so hottie) deserve graves for their sand bodies.

Congrads Chizuru. You are too pathetic to kidnap yay!!!

Chikage was pretty useless this episode. More like OH HI you didn’t forget about me did ya?! Why yes, yes we did. Because this was not the show I was promised. It was way more history and way less on the zombie oni demon side. But Chikage came and told Chizuru she was basically a loser for liking Hijikata and not leaving to have sex with Chikage. Chikage promises an epic battle folks! Because I am sure what is what Hijikata is in the mood for right after all this fail, to battle a full oni on his own. YAY!

Sorry the position of tea giver outer has already been filled.

I do think Chizuru being all dramatic about being Hijikata’s attendant is comical. Like when has she ever used that sword? When has she done anything other than serve him tea? She should just serve him up a nice cup of her blood and call it a day.

What is this touching thing going on?!?!

However Hijikata hugging Chizuru and being all free with his emotions is a bit creepy to watch. Yes I want him to cry over his dead people but the thought of him hugging Chizuru is weird. But since the last episode is around the corner I guess he has to bring the romance to the show. It’s not like he spent the first 15 episodes treating her like crap or anything.

Orlando Bloom he is not.

The battles are painful to watch. Like fail after fail. Our people (when there was more of them) slice through the enemies like they are nothing and everyone else dies. The enemy wins and our main hotties leave defeated. Just…sadness.

Well folks. I have nearly caught up! One more episode to go. Weird that this season only had 10 episodes but they ran out of hotties to kill I guess. So next week Hijikata will finally lose the war, Chikage will kill him in battle, and Chizuru will cry. I love happy endings.

Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 8: And then there were two and a half

I want to know why every other time I make spaghetti it tastes like a soggy gross mess but my husband makes it perfect every time. Am I seriously that bad at cooking that I can’t even manage to boil water? This is bad folks.

Putting aside the fact that I am truly pathetic I hope everyone got to work on time today. I heard that iPhones were being special today. I say I heard when really I heard the alarm going off at the wrong time and my husband was late to work, my brother was late to work, and my friend in AZ had a phone automatically change the time even though her state doesn’t even do Daylight Savings Time. But if you were late hopefully your bosses were understanding or were later than you.

It is time to blog Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 8. I don’t know why I didn’t blog this show last week. I think I was in denial about my favorite hottie. But now I has the anger so you know. Who cares. Spoilers for the show losing its mind!

No one should ever copy that mustache!

Episode Summary: Hijikata and Chizuru make it to whatever city they were going to and find that Sannan is nowhere around. The dude in charge of part of the army has been trying to reach official at the nearby castle but no one will answer the door. Oh and there have been murders in the area. All of this leads Hijikata to believe that Sannan has gone rogue and is nomming on people. Chizuru makes tea because that is all she is good for. While doing laundry (okay she is good at two things) Heisuke comes up saying he hasn’t been able to contact them because he has been too busy stalking Sannan. Apparently he is working with Koudou who supports the New Government. Then Koudou walks up and is like Chizuru comes with me if you want to live. Koudou drugs Chizuru and drags her useless body away as Heisuke is fighting oni zombies and hissing at the daylight. When Chizuru wakes up Koudou reveals that he did everything for Chizuru, that he wants her to rule this oni zombie army. Chizuru is like….no but I love you Daddy so much!!! Sannan then sits down on this family reunion saying he wants to create a new NEW government so oni/zombies have a safe place to live.

Um...you are more mad at Sannan than your own father?!

Hijikata and Heisuke show up and go AHA we have found you. Then Sannan is like AHA all the oni zombie are in this castle right now. Hijikata says I will never use this oni zombie army…and Sannan is like oh okay. And starts killing them ALL. Because he was on team Aniston the entire time. The three men morph into onis to kill the less intelligent ones. Koudou is like no my precious!!! Chizuru is like let’s go dad and we can be happy later. Koudou then throws himself in front of some swords to protect Chizuru. Chizuru cries and forgives her fake dad as he dies. Hijikata pretends that their fate won’t be the same as the other zombie oni when Sannan and Heisuke fall to the ground. They both confess they are at the end of the lifespan now and wanted to go out as heroes or something. Sannan says he was always on team Hijikata and apologizes to Chizuru for all those times he tried to eat her. Heisuke tells Chizuru to smile and keep on going in life. Everyone holds hands until Heisuke and Sannan turn into sand. Hijikata is all sad but gets more troops and there are great plans to win this war. But he orders Chizuru to stay behind as he doesn’t want her hurt. Chizuru actually listens this time but now no one is left to protect her so maybe it was a bad time to start following orders. THE END!

What the hell was that folks? Just what the hell?!?

JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!

I was so looking forward to Hijikata to slicing Sannan into 15 million pieces. Ever since that emo whiner got injured in what like episode 2 I wanted him to die. He was sneaky and him becoming the first oni warrior was like…um no. Could we have picked a worse person to try this out?

But he has been FORGIVEN ya’ll. He was just PRETENDING to be a creepier. He really wasn’t working with the enemy. He actually liked Hijikata. And he apologized to Chizuru. Life is amazing.

Or how about not. How about we actually make sense show? How come after all I have been through and all the hot men I have lost in this show that I couldn’t get my one wish of Sannan dying a traitor and Hijikata doing the deed? WHY FOLKS!!!

Anger all over my face!!!!

First of all I am mad that Harada’s death was meaningless. I mean I am glad that he died thinking he was a hero. That is some comfort. But in the end his death meant nothing. Koudou made even MORE oni zombie people and beat Hijikata to wherever they were going. So….yeah. Woohoo. Obviously Harada only died to protect Shiranui because Koudou is alive and kicking with brand new peoples. But I guess Chizuru and Hijikata will go on without knowing what Harada did for them. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing though.

I DID THIS ALL FOR YOU!!!

Second of all…what the hell?!?! Koudou gets redeemed too? What’s next, is Chikage and Hijikata going to leave Chizuru so they can run off into the sunset together? I DO NOT GET IT!!! This man was responsible for countless deaths and tricking the Shinsengumi into thinking his potion was a viable way to stay alive. He treated Chizuru’s twin like crap but acting like Chizuru was SO SPECIAL. This was all for her even though he left her all alone in the world and set off to make an army of human demons for her?

....So everything was meaningless. Awesome.

Just no folks. Say no to crazy. And I wish that Chizuru would have had some brains or balls to say hey YOU SUCK. But no no folks. Chizuru proved until the very end she is a moron. She has to forgive him because she is the perfect anime girl. And she is dumb. Like maybe forgive a father for not picking you up from soccer practice. And maybe forgive him for being a drunk all your life. But I think things will be okay if you hate your “father” who created countless zombies and cost the lives of some of your friends.

I think Hijikata is out of tears. X__X

AND THEN HEISUKE DIED!!! Like are we on a deadline and we must kill all the Shinsengumi before the last episode? Because I am counting and we have three. That guy dude I never bothered learning his name, Shinpachi who has been gone for quite awhile, and Hijikata who is slowly losing his men, mind, and the only person to entertain Chizuru. Like this show is amazing folks!!!!

Anime is for kids folks! This is the proof!

Heisuke dying was sad. His hand turning into sand in Hijikata’s almost made me cry. He didn’t really have a choice in terms of being all zombie oni so him dying is tragic. I wonder if he knew about Okita and Saito dying. Oh yes I have accepted Saito has died. Because everyone else is dead. He just didn’t fall into sand piles on the ground. But yes even if Heisuke knew the others died no one really seems broken up about that. They are manly men who just keep on going.

Dude your odds were looking good since EVERYONE ELSE IS DEAD!!!

Obviously I have lost my mind. But Heisuke is dead, I am sad, and at a time I thought he and Chizuru would make the best pair. Okita got taken out in the running pretty early with his sickness and Saito was too married to honor to marry a woman. That and Heisuke was closer in age to Chizuru and they could be more natural together. I like how Heisuke tried to cheer up Chizuru in the very end and all of them holding hands in a moment of BRAVENESS was sweet.

WTF IS THIS BULLSHIT?!

And Sannan wasn’t evil. He was just pretending. He has been pretending since episode 3 obviously. I am not buying this bullshit. Sannan should have stuck to his character and went out a creepy asshole. And really it sounds like he was made into a good guy when actually he had plans to make a zombie army all along. Just when he found out Hijikata was not on board he killed them all since he wouldn’t be around to lead them himself. But it is bullshit that he was actually killing rogue oni zombies all this time and was really a good guy. BULLSHIT.

On a more positive note I am actually understanding more about this Japanese history stuff. Which is good to know with only 2 episodes left. But yes my travel books have some of the history on Japan so now I have a better understanding of what is going on. And despite the fact that America just DEMANDED that Japan trade with them…I am kinda on team New Government. X__X Which is super weird after thinking the hotties were defending their way of life and it was magical and stuff.

With my new learnings I know this will end well!

In the next episode I expect Shinpachi to show up and get killed by Chikage and Chizuru to cry some more. Because every single person she has ever talked to is going to die. Too bad Hijikata won’t be the first to have the disappearing sand hand scene.

Hijikata needs a hug but is running out of people to give him one.

Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 7

In the dark grey world that was my day today there was a slight silver lining. Russell was voted off Survivor. Oh yeah SPOILERS!!! XD Of course there is always a chance that he can win his spot back on but for now…HAHAHAHA!!! I laugh in his face and at his misery. Surely a great day in Survivor.

But yeah folks. Other than that today was super bad. Like…send prayer/ good thoughts to my family. And me because obviously no one wants to tell me anything and the not knowing makes it worse. YAY FAMILY!!!

One big happy family.

But in other OTHER news it is time to blog anime. Because when one has a crappy/serious day the best thing to do is watch an anime where the body count is high. GO ME. Spoilers for Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 7. More so people getting shot and stuff.

BEHOLD I AM AMAZING!!!!

Episode Summary: Saito arrives in Aizu and is greatly warmly by some Lord. Important dude. He tells Saito that he will give him command of some people and off Saito goes. The leader of these men Masaki is not impressed that Saito is wearing western clothing and has his sword on the wrong side. He tells Saito he does not respect him and won’t protect him or his men. Amazing. Saito says a few words but allows the loser to live. In the next battle Saito kicks ass while Masaki fails to do much. Saito calls for a retreat though and Masaki orders his men to stay which leads to needless deaths. Saito stays behind to protect Masaki and his men as they finally retreat. Hijikata and Chizuru finally make it to Aizu where they are briefed on the situation. Masaki apologizes to Saito about insulting his ways and now trusts in Saito.

Everyone is happy Hijikata is back and there is strategy talk. Saito leads the men in an important battle but again there is losing. This time Masaki and his men decide to stay behind so Saito and the new recruits can escape. Masaki says his warrior spirit wants him to live on. Back at base Hijikata and Saito are pissed to learn that there is a general retreat and that they are going to let Aizu fall. Hijikata has his hands tied and has to go. Sannan offers to go on ahead since he knows people and he is followed as he is probably being a creepier. Saito decides to stay behind in Aizu as the warrior spirit is strong here and he has been left the responsibility to protect the Lord. Hijikata is like MOG everyone keeps dying and Chizuru cries. Saito is last seen running towards the enemy who have shiny guns and he does not. THE END!!!

Saito is alive time to end the series!

Well scrape me off the floor people. Saito is still alive at the end of this episode. I did not see that coming.

He is hot with all his man pride though...

Of course the first five seconds of the next episode he will resume an evil mascot creating magical girls with the amount of holes shot through him but YOU KNOW. For now, on this day of much not happiness, Saito is alive.

BUT I AM STILL ANGRY AT HIM!

Like…..Okita sorta HAD to die to protect the greater good and Harada died protecting a lot of people. Saito had TIME to go away from the danger and he stayed behind on a suicide mission because of some man pride. I mean Saito is my favorite but he does have the most man pride out of the whole bunch. Which should make him my least favorite but we make it work folks. We make it work.

How many times can you say a phrase in 22 minutes?! X__X

But dude. I think warrior spirit was said 1290 times in this episode. Mulan still wins with the word honor being said over 2532545 in the movie. Really I used to know as I did a report on the movie/poem but this now comes in second place.

Which I guess is nice. One would say that people need more honor nowadays. But then people take it to the extreme and strap bombs to themselves or go on futile protection missions all in the sake of honor. It is hard to show your amazingness if you gut yourself for the sake of honor.

So sometimes I am glad I am not a guy and that man pride has not invaded my soul.

Now what I am not happy with is that Hijikata is still going on and on about Kondou and does not mention Okita AT ALL! Like oh I have to lead troops now but I will not tell the (dwindling) others that their friend is dead.

Nor does Hijikata get upset that Saito is basically going on a suicide mission. He almost had a meltdown when Kondou decided to stay behind. This time he just smiled and was like are you all going to leave me? Maybe he is having a mental breakdown or something. Who knows. JUST NOT IMPRESSED.

I WISH!!! WE ALL WISH!!!

Oh and Sannan is still alive folks. All my hotties are dying and this asshole is still alive. SO VERY HAPPY. And fair. Super fair.

Oh and that Masaki person. Not impressed. How dare he be such an asshole to Saito. What if Saito was left handed? Who cares what side of his body he wears his swords on when he is kicking that much ass. And hello if he says your armor will slow you down LISTEN! Just no. Not impressed with his assholeness, his sudden turn around, and his need to die when everyone could have escaped.

Are you all in the 5th grade or something?!?!?

But it was slightly scary when Saito escaped with a bunch of 15 year olds. X__X

So in conclusion I really thought Saito was going to die. And chances are he will since there is one of him and about 478357 of everyone else. But maybe, just maybe when Chizuru and Hijikata are the last two standing we will see Saito in some quiet village missing an arm and looking up at the sky. I has the hope people.

Hakuouki Hekketsuroku episode 6: And then he died

Of course by happiest I mean saddest and most depressing. Because I am just that awesome.

Also my head was feeling less explody due to medical issues. Then my husband and I decided to look in hotels for our Japan trip and now there is brain matter everywhere. Who will feed the kitties now?!

On the road to SadVille.

Spoilers for other people having equally explody days.

WTF we didn't even know he was dead?!?

Episode Summary: Okita and his very hot if not sick self is riding frantically on a horse. Likewise Hijikata is making his way somewhere with Chizuru. The rest of the men left before them as Hijikata is still all injured and being pathetic. Okita eventually meets up with Hijikata and informs him with anger that Kondou has been beheaded. He is all screaming and yelling until Chizuru points out that Hijikata is injured. Okita walks away all pissed off and Saito walks up. He gives more details about the execution and everyone is sad that Kondou was not allowed to kill himself. Chizuru runs after Okita and is like look dude Kondou stayed behind to save us. Okita acknowledges that makes sense but still can’t forgive Hijikata. Chizuru walks back to the group where Saito has decided to challenge Hijikata to a duel. Hijikata loses and Saito is like SEE you stay here and rest and I will lead the troops in your place. This goes over well.

SO MUCH FEELING!!!!

Elsewhere Harada was waiting for the oni zombie army of doom and Shiranui walks up with a box of silver bullets. He tells Harada to hit the road but he is like no bro I got your back. The army appears and the fight begins. Harada gets very injured and Shiranui protects him. Shiranui runs out of bullets so Harada uses the last of his strength to help blow up Uncle Crack Head. Shiranui sits with Harada against a tree and stays with him until he DIES. :( Hijikata has to stay behind and rest while the others go on ahead. Okita is having a pout nearby. He hears men talking about ambushing Hijikata and despite the fact he just hacked up a gallon of blood, goes after all the men. Hijikata starts to have a really bad feeling and goes to find Okita. Chizuru joins him and they find a pile of bodies and Okita’s sword. Hijikata is like see he is okay but turns his back to cry. Chizuru realizes Okita is dead and it is sad city. THE END!

OH I SEE FOLKS!!!!

Like so okay. Sannan who has been a useless piece of trash since episode 2, been emo since episode three, and a murderer probably for like…..at least the entire second season is alive. Or as alive as a zombie oni can be. He is still running around eating people and being a crack head but both Okita and Harada are dead. I see now. Life is super fair.

Of course by super fair I mean RAGE ON MY FACE!!!!!

Who should I talk about first? I guess Harada since he randomly just DIED and Okita was on his last leg for about 10 episodes anyway.

How can you be out of ammo?! You had an entire box!!!

Okay. Harada. I was really, REALLY joking when I said you and Shiranui had a bromance going on. I mean I could pretend but the writers were probably going more for arch enemies who would never kill each other and respected each other more than they would admit. Fanfictions could make them into something more but they were not cannon. Not like my Tsubasa couple.

I just hope he buries Harada. :(

But then this episode comes along and really makes me think that….X__X there could have been something. Not NOW of course because Harada up and DIED. But for like the 4th time these two men fought together when really one of them could have abandoned the other. While Harada wasn’t that helpful Shiranui really had his back. Protecting him and such. And Shiranui said nothing while Harada was dying, no lame words of encouragement. Just sat there and was with him while he died.

Okay he was kinda badass there...And he didn't run out of ammo.

And really folks. Did Harada need to be there? He did save Shiranui from head crazy Kondou but that was about it. Shiranui did most of the work with his box of silver bullets. I guess Shiranui tried to make Harada leave in a subtle way (WEAK HUMAN) but Harada had man pride and what not.

Too sad for words!!!

I just found the whole thing heartbreaking and sad. And pointless. Harada’s last words were about Shinpachi (meaning that he was going back to the main group yes?) and he just…died. Shiranui lost his bro and according to Chizuru they never knew what happened. Just…did not see that coming folks. Sad face is sad especially since according to sources Harada had one of the happier endings in the game

So hot when he was angry....

Moving on to things that were expected. :( Rest in peace Okita. I am pretty sure he had the crappiest story of the whole bunch. I mean Sannan could have lived his life just helping out the group from behind the scenes. He at least got injured in battle. Okita got randomly sick and remained sick even after becoming a zombie oni. Like how unfair is this? Now I am going to die sooner because I am using my oni powers to stay alive but my quality of life still sucks? I call FOUL people.

But part of me feels as if Okita had a stupid death too. I mean he died protecting Hijikata. But why weren’t there a FEW MEN with Chizuru and Hijikata? I understand that my last remaining hottie Saito and Heisuke have to go with the main troops to guard people (and keep Sannan from eating people). But we couldn’t hook up Hijikata with a few red shirt people to be meat shields? I guess in the end it wouldn’t matter but still. SADNESS.

I don't think that was the point....

Mog folks. I really almost finished this post without mentioning Kondou. HAHA X__x Well he was boring and not hot okay! Also when he was kidnapped last week it was known that was the end for him. He just hadn’t died yet. But he was beheaded ya’ll. And people were more upset he wasn’t allowed to kill himself. Because HONOR FOLKS! HONOR.

But yeah that is why Okita was all pissy. He thought Hijikata should have done more to protect Kondou. But when he found out that Hijikata was beyond injured and did his best with all the fights Okita blamed himself. Not that any of that makes sense but it is man pride folks. People are supposed to beat armies when bleeding all over the place and such. Or when they have deadly conditions. So really Okita was more pissed at his inability to help with the fight even though deep down he knows it was no one’s fault.

He was going to die anyway...might as well die for a friend... :(

In the end Okita protected Hijikata because he knows it wasn’t his fault that Kondou died. That and if Kondou made Hijikata in charge Okita was going to protect his legacy. So tying his sword to his hand he went with a bang. At first I wondered where his body was but then I remembered he was all zombie oni mode. So I think he turned into dust and that makes me more depressed. Like….it guess it would be sad to see his bleeding dead body but having nothing to bury at all is pretty upsetting.
X__X And Hijikata crying over Okita made me sad. Like MOG he is feeling all over the place. But since he lost three men (well he only knows of two) this episode he has the right to cry. I would be crying too.

Dude we are losing enough of our hotties without turning on each other!!!!

I thought my precious Saito had lost his mind when he was fighting Hijikata but it turns out they were just having man issues. Saito couldn’t say HEY you are injured stay at home. No no he had to kick Hijikata’s ass and show him he needed to stay at home. But in the end Saito is still loyal and that is all that matters.

Well not really since it looks like Saito has a LOT of screen time next week. :( Is my Saito the next to die? SAY IT AIN’T SO!!!!
