Kio to Senkyo to Chocolate episode 3

YAWN! So sleepy! We had many adventures today and being the out of shape couch potato I am I got rather tired. Of course one would think that watching the Olympics for 239824 hours a day would inspire me to get in better shape….nope hasn’t happened yet!!!

Yuuki is running to protect her club. Yay fun!
So yes more anime folks before I go to bed. Lets make it an “easy” one. No thinking allowed or something like that. Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate episode 3. Spoilers for…people being serious?

Well major duh?!?!?
Episode Summary: The Snack Club has been turned into Run for President headquarters. Chisato nominates herself as president of…running for president but no one knows what to do next. Ms. Hazuki tries to reign in the morons and informs the group that Yuuki needs 10 percent of the votes to move on passed the primaries. That is 600 votes which makes the group worry. Several members suggest stupid ways to earn votes but Yuuki has enough brains to say that this is not going to work. Yakumo, the current president, walks in and says he wants to help Yuuki run for president. Instead of being grateful for any help Ms. Hazuki and Chisato are immediately suspicious and question Yakumo’s motives. Yakumo confesses that backing an independent this year will mean his party will have a better chance of winning next year, rather than the two major parties winning. And since Yakumo’s main stance is to help out clubs that are in trouble and Satsuki’s main platform seems to be killing those clubs Yuuki is the logical choice. People point out that the other two major parties might just attack Satsuki’s point as well, making them the stronger contenders.

You do realize if he wins you won't see Yuuki much anymore right?
Yakumo seems to think that Yuuki will still reach the other clubs better as he will be from the people. He promises the group 400 votes, which makes Ms. Hazuki wonder as he should have more say. That means they need to make up 200 more votes to get passed the primaries. The person who is most excited about this agreement is Yume as now he wants to sleep with Yakumo too. Yakumo proves to be a pro at assigning tasks and getting people to do what he wants. Yuuki is rather impressed. Chisato asks two of her odd ball friends to be ahead of the election committee which is weird since I thought that is what they were all doing….Ms. Hazuki meets with Satsuki on the roof and it becomes clear Satsuki might be a hard ass as she is trying to meet up to her half sisters impossible standards that were set earlier in life. Chisato and Yuuki have to take a break from talking to people so Yakumo goes a mission to get drinks. At the vending machine Satsuki approaches Yuuki and they explain pleasant words. Chisato does not believe in being that close to the competition and turns into a crazy person. This could explain why he lies to Chisato later about where he is eating dinner. Because he is eat Ms. Hazuki’s home making food for her. X__X THE END!

This episode….wasn’t stupid as hell. Shocking I know. I am still pissed about the fact that scholarship students are just TOO POOR to join clubs and Kii and Ai are still useless. Yet this episode wasn’t as bad as episode 2. In fact the stupid high school students morphed into overly serious kids who are manipulative and crafty. All very shocking.

Err? Free snacks for everyone?!
I won’t really snark the fact the Snack Club ( I shall shorten it from now on because I am truly lazy) had no idea how to run an election. Usually people with no experience with something are going to run into problems and be confused. Now….they are being special as they are running solely to save their lazy club but at least they are enthusiastic and some of them are taking it serious? Sure snack eating was still going on but some of them were focused. Miracles folks!

Bubble candidate? New term for me! XD
Of course they never really had a prayer right? 10 percent is a lot of votes when there are a lot of other candidates running and the main two contenders. Most students probably don’t even know about the Snack Club thus Yuuki’s name would just be another nobody on the ballot. So these were real concerns and I am pretty impressed that the Snack Club was taking this serious. I am glad the Snack Club isn’t like WEEE this will all be fun and easy lets eat cake. They are like oh this is going to be hard…lets eat cake. XD

I would vote for someone who gave me treats. Just saying.
So Yakumo has no eyeballs. I will leave that subject alone since no one else is talking about it. I am surprised that Yakumo is helping out Yuuki. I thought he was going to be the inspiration behind Yuuki’s joining the election and would sit back quietly. Now really that can’t be all that happens because his sister is the one that got run over. So he was going to have to take on more of a role but I didn’t think it was going to be this extensive. But oh boy…it seems like we are going to be seeing a lot from Yakumo for a while at least. He wants Yuuki to win and comes bringing advice and votes. All out of the kindness of his heart. Because he is such a nice person and wants all the smaller clubs to be safe and everyone to have a lovely high school career.
Photobucket
That was rather....um...surprising of you?
OR NOT! Oh boy people. There was some real honesty in this episode. Like the complete opposite of what usually happens in a high school slice of life anime. Chisato was like what is in this for you? Oh right since you department can’t run this year you are going to use Yuuki as an independent to make it an even playing field next year. Oh and you picked Yuuki because he is the only independent that can really garnish the disenfranchised club votes. So forget all this trying to help us out crap. You are just using us aren’t you? Oh and don’t forget Hazuki scoffing at the mere 400 votes they were promised.
Photobucket
So you are using us? Thanks.
Like hot damn folks! See what I mean about this show being serious business? This isn’t just some little high school election. Things are getting pretty nasty and Yuuki just signed up. Like this is a real election for adults and any minute now the defamation commercials were about ready to run. I didn’t think it was going to be that serious..yet I should have known. We got a girl who was run over in the first 5 seconds which lead to Yakumo’s people not being able to run because of that “scandal”. People in this school are taking this very seriously. I guess Chisato just brought the honesty factor to another level.

Micromanaging the useless people weeee!
I think Yakumo, despite his reasons for helping them, gave pretty good advice. Maybe next time tell Kii and Ai to get signatures AFTER Yuuki has made the rounds talking to people. Like hi vote for this person before you know who he is. Good strategy, just way too soon. But other than that Yakumo is probably the best thing that could have happened to Yuuki. Very organized indeed. But since he has been through the process before he would have to be. Maybe I was just a slacker teenager and I am easily impressed.

Yumi is a very multi dimensional character.
For the most part everyone in the club did the roles I thought they would do. Kii and Ai were…stupid and pretty. Mifuyu was handling what looked like the speeches and writing portions of the campaign. I have no idea what Nozomi was doing but I didn’t really expect her to do anything besides blow up. So her using her connections and making a machine that hangs posters up was a surprise within itself. Chisato was obviously the most important part of the campaign thus she is doing a chunk of the work. Yume was busy…um….well…bringing the yaoi. YAY!

So what was Michuri doing? Acting insane. Not only does she look like a cat but she shakes hands like one. Her face when the printer was going off was odd. Even Yakumo thought she was odd. And then at the end of the episode Michuri was following Yuuki home. Now it turns out that Yuuki was going somewhere…special but …wait. Maybe Michuri did know. Maybe she follows him all the time. X__X Okay now she is even more creepy that I originally thought. Crazy little cat. She is like hey teacher leave those kids alone because I want a piece of Yuuki. Because clearly he knows how you feel when you are staring at him all day long.

Trying to bring humor to a sad family situation?
Oh yes the creepy teacher. I guess the speech on top of the roof wasn’t that weird between the sisters. I mean I didn’t need anyone to tell me they were only half sisters. Because in animes when siblings have problems it is because they are only half siblings. Blood lines seem to be a bigger deal in Japan than in the United States so I can see how this would be a deal breaker and how siblings with one different parent might not be close. But even without that drama Satsuki and Hazuki seem to have some other problems that technically aren’t their fault. Sounds like the second wife, Satsuki’s mom, has been pitting her and Hazuki against each other for a long time. Satsuki has used to being second best thus makes everything a competition. Hazuki is used to being blamed for everything she has given up trying. A lot of tension between these two sisters. I am sure this election will bring them closer together…at the very end.
Photobucket
Um...what the hell is this?!
But the thought of the two sisters being in love with the same guy makes me want to poke out my eyeballs. I often want to poke out my eyeballs when watching anime but come on! I don’t know how old Hazuki is and the age of consent in Japan is low and Yuuki is not technically jail bait. Still she is a teacher and is in a position of power thus NO! So….Yuuki is over at her house making dinner for her. Interesting. And he has to lie to Chisato about where he is. Because it is shady. Maybe there will be some back story behind this that makes more sense but for now I am like….oh this is wrong. X___X
Photobucket
No Satsuki for you. More boob hugs!
Speaking of Satsuki…she wasn’t really present in this episode. Which makes sense since Yuuki has harem full of girls. He has to spend equal time with everyone. But Satsuki just had a hit and run scene. Yuuki went to the vending machine and Satsuki skipped up like she was beyond excited to see him. They have barely interacted together so this over the top friendliness with your now rival came off weird. Like good luck person who my sister is supporting WEEEE!
Photobucket
Bring on the insanity!!!
Of course if we didn’t have that Satsuki drive by shooting we wouldn’t have seen Chisato act so insane. She turned into a demon or something. It was super fun to see her act like a crazy person. Hopefully as time goes on Chisato will become more and more insane. There are a lot of girls…and one boy trying to ride that penis train. XD Oh and Chisato had a point. Don’t talk to the enemy!

Is that all for this episode? There was an even randomer Ayumu drive by shooting. Don’t know what the girl is all about. But other than that..yeah. Super serious about the election. X__X Kids these days, so crazy.

You are totally falling behind on this anime, because of the Olympic, I presume.
:-D
Episode 4 is getting even more serious on election. And I love it for being educational! Their methods can easily apply to the adults' world as well. Also, we are going to see more drama on the poor girl. This anime is being underrated unfairly, being in 2000+. I didn't even know there are that many anime. lol. I have only watched 100+ and I thought that's a LOT already.

Eternia- The Olympics have taken over my brain. X__X I might be on overload. Hopefully I will catch up...before the Fall Season. XD Although there is only so much volleyball I can take.

This show takes high school elections to a whole level of craziness I wasn't expecting. Especially from such a slacker kind of club. X__X
