This week was slightly busy and that will always be my excuse. I mean...it doesn't sound good if I tell you I slept a ridiculous amount of time today and watched way too much TV. No, I must make myself sound busy and all that jazz.....or I was sleeping. I could give up lying for Lent?
In any event...yeah, didn't get a chance to blog about Shugo Chara Doki Episode 72. I have watched it so I might just blog about it tomorrow just to get caught up. At time of posting Tales of the Abyss was not updated with subs (although I am sure when I hit SEND it will be...) In any event I will make tons of promises to be all caught up next week. XD I will at least tryyyyyyy.

Shugo Chara Doki Episode 71
For some reason Tadase and Amu are picked to go on some elementary school summit retreat about…something. But that’s not important. Amu realizes the important thing is that she will spend two days and a night with Tadase…so she says yes. But not after she has some crazy delusions about what could happen on said mountain. Elsewhere in a different school Kairi is all bugged out about this retreat when he finds out that Amu will be attending. So Amu and Tadase get the resort and a bunch of tiny kids are running around. Someone says Chairmen and Amu automatically thinks about Kairi. Which is perfect timing as Kairi is hiding around the corner spying on the two. He misses Amu freaking out on memories of Kairi saying he is in love with her and all that stuff. Maybe because he is busy thinking about he is not worthy of Amu and how he can’t bear to face her. His plans to stay hidden fail when the Chara’s announce his presence. Amu, Tadase, and Kairi greet each other….and then the mood gets quiet. No one is talking and it is all awkwardddd. The Charas decide to fly around like little freaks and create drama to break the ice. It works and everyone skips and dances down the road. Amu is impressed that even though Kairi is only in 4th grade, he is student president and he is helping run the seminar. He takes a minute to help the same little kid that needed help earlier. Amu is in awe of his awesomeness. Kairi tries to start the meeting/game time thing later but SHOCKER all the little kids are goofing around. So Tadase and Amu make little airplanes for their Charas to fly around in. This apparently proves that Kairi is cool. The three try to hang out later and make plans for tomorrow, but Kairi gets jealous when he hears people talking about Amu and Tadase being a cute couple. Kairi tries to run from his problems but Tadase catches him. Kairi says that he can’t be around Amu as he is now, that is he not the person he wants to be and he is not strong enough yet and all that jazz. Amu comes up and says she wants to be his friend while he is finding himself and that this is just stupid. Kairi runs away all upset and crap.
The next day Amu and Tadase wait at the lake for Kairi. Kairi is off trying with his sword while his Chara tells him to get a hold of himself, that a true samurai accepts who is he and can only gather strength from that. Suddenly Amu’s words make sense to Kairi and he feels bad about what he has done. But before he can join Amu and Tadase he gets word that the little kid who was stupid all day yesterday…is lost in the woods. Oh and that Tadase and Amu have gone to look for him. Suu is all talking to animals and Tadase and Amu locate the stupid kid. But the weather takes a turn for the worse and lighting strikes a tree. Then this tree hits some logs that were being held up a hill. One of the logs crashes down the hill and would squish everyone…but Kairi jumps from the mountain and slashes the tree with his WOODEN sword. Then he and Tadase have to prove they are real men and protect Amu from more logs. They transform and kick some tree butt. The kid is saved and no one believes his story. Kairi tells Amu that he will no longer avoid her and will find himself while being around her. And Tadase continues to smile like a moron, unaware how many love rivals he has. The end.
I find that taking day from actually watching the show and reviewing the episode makes my post less snarky. Or at least….I would think so. I think comments like MOG so stupid sound less valid right off the bat. Or I don’t makse sense. XD Like always.
In any event…yeah, the premise of the show was a whole lot of special. What exactly do elementary students due for student council? My mother reminds me that I helped my friend run for council in the 6th grade. But that doesn’t mean I know what she did….or if now I don’t think it’s a big waste of time. I really want to know what those kids were doing on that mountain. And the fact that a 4th grader is running things and the kid of the week looks like he is 8 makes me roll my eyes.
I think the episode would be a lot less MOG and WTF had it just been a field trip or reward for hard working students. Call it what it is..because quite frankly the airplane incident took place when it was “game” time and apparently the next day was “free time”. So when did work take place? It didn’t…so call it a field trip.
Kairi is a crazy kid. Seriously, who worries about being worthy enough for a girl at that age. I mean, they are really stretching everyone’s maturity by not including cooties in this series. Let’s not add in the fact that Kairi feels he is not worthy of Amu. Because….Amu is Amu. She is a normal girl. She likes TADASE for goodness sakes. She clearly…isn’t some snobby kid who is expecting you to be your best (okay, maybe Tadase is a bad example).
And he is only 10. :( It makes me sad that he thinks he has to be a man at the age of 10 and that he has to be perfect before he can be around the person he likes. Isn’t that the purpose of seeing and having a Chara; to grow and become the person you want to be. The person he likes has THREE Charas. All she is is confused about her would be self. So I had a hard time buying this I AM NOT WORTHY OF AMU stuff.
Tadase is a lot of special. Or just stupid. Because you know how you chase down your rival in love and give them helpful advice. Or just smile with a vacant look on your face. I get that he is nice and lovely and farts cupcakes…but he needs to be a little bit more assertive if he wants Amu to feel special. I certainly would not want a guy who cheers on someone else to date me.
The friend of the week was massively annoying. I am surprised he was able to dress himself in the morning. I understand that 12 year olds don’t need to be watched all the time but this kid sure did. It would have been better had this “field trip” been for only older kids. But we couldn’t have that…since Kairi was there. Still…he was annoying and I hate him. The end.
What I do like about these kinds of episodes is the attention on the other characters. When Amu is surrounded by everyone people tend to be forgotten or are background candy. When there are only one or two of them it seems like real connections are made and no one is left out. So yay for that! XD
So…this episode was okay. Sorta like the last 6? :( I wish the show would become more interesting…but all we are getting are fillers. And next week we are getting Lulu and ugly grandmother from hell…which may be worse. :( Maybe this will be Lulu’s last week and she can find happiness? Yes? Wishful thinking? Yeah I suck.
Kuroshitsuji Episode 19
A small boy and a older man are in a tiny dingy cleaning up the London river. The old man tells the younger boy about the huge boat in the harbor that used to carry tea from China. Now that boat is out of commission due to a due trading route not being used anymore. The old man talks about how the ship is named after a demon Cutty Stark. The boy thinks he SEES the demon when Lau’s ho is all skipping around. But that is soon forgotten when the young boy finds a body Law and Order style. So Scotland yard investigates the dead body. Randall (head Scotland yard dude) thinks that is gang related, probably the Chinese apparently. Aberlin (nice Scotland Yard dude) is like something is not right…In any event Ceil and Sebastian come by and provide those two with the victim’s name and occupation (John Stanmil/shipping business). Randall wants to know what Ceil really wants. Ceil says he wants whatever was on the man at the time. Aberlin says that the body had nothing on it at the time which…cues a scene with the little boy looking guilty and running away. Sebastian and Ceil decide they need to do a little more investigating. Flashbacks show Ash coming to Ceil with a mission from the Queen. Stanmil is sorta like Ceil, working in the underground and doing secret mission stuff. Ceil’s awesome secret mission is to get back THE ITEM Stanmil had on him at the time. But he is not allowed to know WHAT the item is because that would make the episode boring apparently. Back to the present Ceil is still wondering what the item is since Stanmil got killed for it. So….they decide going the opium dens that are owned by Lau and his ho bags. Oh and Lau is apparently the leader of the Chinese mafia. Lau pretends to know exactly what is going on…and then he asks what Ceil is talking about? He then talks about he is connected and knows things and that they should talk elsewhere.
Meanwhile Aberlin is telling some random tavern lady that he got some girl knoc…I mean that he is in love and that he is going to married soon. She is all happy for him and goes on how this is a great thing (this of course is foreshadowing his death). Back to the PLOT Lau is talking about how his opium trade is suffering because a new and awesome drug has been released to the population that is BETTER than opuim. Lau doesn’t know what Stanmil was up to, but he wasn’t a known drug dealer. But he will spread a rumor about for Ceil, making Ceil a target or some jazz. Aberlin is looking at some wedding rings while the young boy from the harbor (you know, the person who probably HAS the item) goes to approach him. Ash intercepts and questions the boy about the demon Cutty Stark. The stupid trio are in town getting supplies and run into a friend or something. They return to the house where Ceil is having a pouty attack about things not going his way. Pluto attacks maid crazy and Sebastian has to run off Pluto. Turns out he was interested in the candy in her pocket, candy that is apparently made by Ceil’s company. Sebastian and el short butler discover this candy is not candy..but the drugs. The drugs that Lau was talking about. Ceil is not pleased and hops on the nearest carriage to investigate. Ash has gone to seen Randal to tell him what the Queen wants him to do. Scotland yard has gone to arrest Lau, but his ho/SISTER kicks them all in their faces. There is chaos in the streets. Aberlin pulls Sebastian over and reveals that Ceil is under arrest for selling drugs. They accuse Lau of being his business partner and he has gotten away it seems. They went to Ceil’s warehouse and found tons of the drug candy. Randal appears and tells him this is all under the order of the Queen. Ash told Randal earlier that the person who killed Stanmil has to be flushed out…and to do that Ceil and Lau need to be arrested. Or at least that is what I think what was said. In any event, Ash claims the Queen has ordered that Sebastian and Ceil be taken in separately. Ceil allows this as to not lose his title, but tells Sebastian to be ready when he calls for him.
X_X I hope that I wasn’t the only slightly confused with this episode. Or maybe I am just slow. :( But maybe there is someone else out there who was a little bit confused too.
The entire first part of the episode reminded me of Law and Order. It was either SNL or MAD TV that made fun of their formula….so really this episode reminded me of the parody of Law and Order. The formula being two people are talking, doing something mundane, and then MOG DEAD BODY! People walking down the street and are talking about going out to eat DEAD BODY! Someone on the phone complaining about their boss and BAM car runs over DEAD BODY!. So here in this episode we have two people doing their boring job of cleaning up the water and DEAD BODY. Okay…maybe I was the only one who found it funny. XD So be it.
So…was the Queen the one who really sent Ceil on this mission? I would like to think that the Queen wouldn’t put Ceil in that kind of danger. That and it is slightly hard to find an item that you don’t know what it is. Or what if DEAD BODY had two things on them at the time. Do you take them both and hope one of the items is the right item? I mean..Ceil does have an advantage and has a demon on his side…but he is not a mind reader. You can find a lot of things and still not know what the hell you are doing.
And I really don’t want to believe that the Queen would threaten Ceil’s title just to get back a missing/important item. Of course…why am I thinking that the Queen is this nice lady who has Ceil’s best interest at heart? Most of the time these rulers are in sticky situations themselves and are willing to sacrifice a few people to get their way. Or the fact the real Queen might not even be in charge. Maybe Angela has kidnapped her or something. The point is…I am not quite sure what the hell is going on with the Queen or if she even sent Ceil on this mission.
But I don’t think that Ceil is thinking that right now. He is too busy thinking about 8793 other things to know what is going on. I love how he just sits down and has a pouty attack like a normal 12 year old. He is used to things going his way or things making a little more sense. But now he keeps talking about a missing puzzle piece (more like 34) and how frustrated he is. Angry child is angry about crazy mission.
Randal and Aberlin were pretty special in this episode. More so Aberlin. He seems like a nice guy…which means he is going to die. Now with a baby on a way and soon to be married (FOR SHAME doing it backwards) he really is going to die. Because that is how anime does it: talk up a side character and he dies the next episode. Randal is just a dumbass and he probably should die…because he is stupid and doesn’t question Ash. Bleh on both their houses.
Lau is pretty dang special. And I am not talking about his “sister” being a whore all over him. Being in the Chinese mafia? Dealing in drugs? Owning the opium den? And Ceil is still his friend? It sounds like Lau is the kind of person the Queen would be after…not someone to befriend. But then I turned on Law and Order again and realized that sometimes you have to make nice with the druggie to find the real “bad” guys. I would have thought that Lau would have tried to protect Ceil a little bit better before bailing. Then I remembered it was Lau XD
So we are left with a VERY pissed off Ceil and slightly pissed off Sebastian. Ash is calling all the shots which is probably a very bad thing. Angela is probably off in the palace pretending to be the Queen. AND WE STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT THE ITEM IS XD :( Guess I will have to wait til next week to figure out what is going on…or at least I hope we find out next week x_X
Skip Beat Episode 20
Kyoko is off in happy Moko land. Moko is less than thrilled that Kyoko is basically declaring her love for her. But Kyoko is just pleased with her performance and she thinks Moko deserves the credit for her success. While working Moko and Kyoko run into the President, Maria, and Ren. Ren has scary happy face on…meaning he is pissed off. And apparently he is pissed off at Kyoko. Ren asks Kyoko if she is satisfied, getting her revenge and all. The bystanders are a little shocked while Kyoko is being choked by Ren’s demon aura. Ren’s manager tries to make a joke that Sho is the only guy in showbiz who would pick a fight with Ren. Kyoko decides that she has to lie; that if she tells the truth about her revenge plot Ren will be even more upset. So Kyoko says she went to do that job because it sounded like a fun role and she did her best on the set. Ren says he is happy for her reason…but still looks pissed off. Moko is not pleased either, being left out of the loop about this Sho revenge thing. She demands to know the truth or their friendship is over. Clearly Kyoko is having a great day. Ren is not having a good day either, his bad mood scaring a potential co-worker. Ren’s manager tells Ren he needs to stop being all jealous of Kyoko and Sho’s relationship. Ren goes…wtf? Moko corners Kyoko and nearly beats the truth out of her. Ren’s manager tries to do the same thing, blackmailing Ren with his cellphone if he doesn’t cough up the information. Kyoko cracks and Ren has a broken cellphone. Things start looking up as Sawara calls Kyoko about a drama deal. She is happy and unicorns are dancing in the street. But she is less than thrilled when she realizes that Sho’s producer helped get her the roll (apparently she and the drama director are friends). But the roll is for a drama that was really popular 20 years ago…and the director was impressed with her acting. So she is going to think about it.
Ren goes to Lory to ask for a new phone. Lory starts talking about how Ren has been doing a good job hiding his flaw from the public…but this new job offer will show the world something he is weak at: love scenes. Instead of talking about Lory’s concerns Ren’s manager starts talking about how Ren is all angry with Kyoko and that Ren ONLY gets angry with Kyoko. Ren says that he is so not interested in Kyoko and mumbles something about how she is too young for him. Kyoko is hoping that Moko will be understanding of her past and revenge plot thing. Moko says that she doesn’t care about Kyoko’s reasoning for joining acting. Moko goes on to say that when Kyoko acts, she doesn’t think of her revenge at all…and that makes her a great actress. Kyoko shouldn’t worry about what people think of her reasoning. She goes on to say that Ren was acting JEALOUS of Sho’s relationship with Kyoko. When Kyoko gets bugged out about that line of reasoning Kyoko concludes that Ren knows Kyoko was lying..and that is why he is pissed off. Kyoko thinks about and decides that she is going to be honest with Ren and tell him the truth. She opens the elevator…and there he is front and center. She closes the door and freaks out. Ren and his manager go x_X with Ren’s manager doing the I told you so face. Kyoko then reappears and apologizes like a crazy person. In a car ride home Kyoko explains her entire past with Sho and why she wants revenge. Ren is a little cold at first and his manager isn’t pleased with Ren’s attitude. But Ren is seems to forgive her and Kyoko is all smiles and unicorns. They part ways and both think about the drama. Kyoko thinks that everything is fine now and that the drama will go great. Ren keeps thinking about how he is lacking in some areas and that people don’t think he is right for the part.
Not as amazing as last episode…but I was expecting that so no disappointment here. Because “average” Skip Beat is still pretty amazing compared to other shows XD
Ren…was Ren. And by that I mean he was a jerk who took things way out of proportion and was smily angry before Kyoko even had a chance to explain her case. For someone who wants to portray a mature image that isn’t very mature. It’s almost like he enjoys busting her chops and thinking the worst of her.
Maybe he does. But the truth is he loves her. And he is way too jealous to admit why he is so ticked off. But if I really wanted to feel self righteous I would make sure I was right. How ever could I enjoy my superiority if it turns out I am wrong in the end?! But none of this matters as Ren smiles and no one ever knows that he is THAT pissed off. Scary Ren is scary.
But at least Kyoko was sorta ready for it. She knew what had happened so it didn’t come as a shock. But she still made the mistake of lying. Don’t get me wrong, I would have lied too. But there is no escaping the wrath of Ren. She didn’t have to explain anything to Ren and especially not in public like that. Lose lose situation for poor Kyoko.
Despite Ren’s…Renness Kyoko still feels compelled to apologize to him. Because she must be in love with him too. The only way to excuse such behavior. So while I don’t like how he treats her..I did like the cute little car ride and her silly faces. Stop being REALLY cruel to Kyoko; just be mean enough we get some awesome WTF faces every once and a while.
But the entire episode was not doom and gloom. Due to Kyoko’s AWESOME performance she has landed a new exciting role in a drama. So far she has only been in little projects that LOOK cool to everyday people, but not a big deal for those in the entertainment industry. But to co-star in a drama sounds like a big deal to me(especially in Japan). WAY TO GO KYOKO!
Ren is also going to be staring in this drama (err, that is not spoilerish I
hope…). And I love how he is taken down a peg or two. Not that I want him to do bad..but I am tired of him judging people when he is far from perfect. And I think love scenes are pretty simple to act out and he is dang lucky to have NONE so far. But Kyoko will never think Ren is uncool…so it’s not really that awesome.
If Moko was still pretending that she isn’t just a freak…well her cover was blown this time. “I am your best friend TELL ME ALL NOW!!!” was pretty classic. And unreasonable. But pretty classic. Kyoko just did awesome at her last job due to her love for Moko…and Moko threatens to kill their friendship. Kyoko is just having a great week.
No matter how tough things get for Kyoko, she always gets out of her self induced funk and wins in the end. XD So while there might be some drama with the drama…Kyoko will still be a wonderful actress and leave all jealous in her wake. But I am not her number one fan or anything XD You just get caught up in the awesomeness that is Kyoko when you watch this series. So start watching it too!!!
Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 7
This episode is magical and takes place right after episode 6. Harley has given Layfon his magical new restoration weapon thingy. Layfon powers up his kei and kills the invisible monsters in the room and the air. Oh, and most of Felli’s hair. Felli is there to say some stuff about that filth bug and what her brother wants them to do. Harley runs off to work on this new weapon after being told to keep everything a secret. Sharnid sees everyone talking and secret sharing and is jealous. He should be jealous because Felli kicks Layfon for no good reason. Oh, she has a good reason NEVER MIND! She is mad that Layfon is letting her brother boss him around and that he shouldn’t do things he doesn’t want to do. Which apparently includes living and protecting his friends. Layfon tries to tell Crazy Kicker that he isn’t being forced into anything and that he really does want to protect the city/people/HIMSELF! Sharnid tries to seduce the secrets out of Harley but that fails. So apparently at this crazy school there are TONS of exercises and drills and today everyone must train with a member of the opposite sex. Layfon gets paired up with Naruki and it is very special. As in Layfon forgets that this is practice and girls have boobies. It is fun times in co-ed training class. Except in the area where Nina is training. She didn’t get the memo either that this is practice and she is taking her aggression out on her partner. Naruki decides that she is going to tattletale on Nina and tells Layfon she has seen Nina not getting off the train/metro at her stop. Because people care apparently. So Naruki, Layfon, and those other two decide they are going to stalk Nina. They follow her to the end of the dome and watch her practice like a mad man (woman). Everyone is worried because Nina has normal school, platoon practice, her job, and now she is practicing alone. Naruki understands that Nina is just jealous of Layfon and his awesome powers so that means Nina has to get better to be like Layfon. Something bad might happen. And then it does! Nina passes out and everyone freaks out. The doctor explains that Nina messed up her kei artery and it is all brokenified. But he fixed it and all they have to do is watch Nina lay shirtless on a bed and all will be a okay. Harley and Layfon are a little bit afraid of boobies so Felli has to jump in and scream at them. The trio of girls decide that they have to bring things to Nina to make her feel better because they LOVE Nina, not Layfon.
Nina wakes up later (with a shirt on) and apologizes to Layfon for being stupid. She confirms that she was jealous of Layfon and wanted to lead the group, not fall behind and watch Layfon do all the work. She wanted to get stronger and lost herself in the process. But when you lose you learn and she is happy for this. Layfon says that is only strong when he fights alone, that he needs Nina to lead him to fight as a group. It is a Hallmark moment..so it must be time for Layfon to drive off alone and fight the bug of doom. But he has Felli in his mind telling him how dangerous this whole thing is and that he might die. Great words of encouragement YAY! Layfon reaches the bug and thinks that since it is not full grown all will be okay. So naturally the bug hatches into it’s mature buggy form with wings. Layfon joyfully tells Felli now he will probably die and on to battle he goes. Sharnid shows up at the hospital room and manhandles Harley. Nina is a little bit pissed but realizes that secrets are being kept from her too. Harley is a major weanie so we can assume he tells them everything. So Layfon has been fighting this monster for a day and all he has managed to do is cut off one of its wings..that can regenerate. But YAY Felli reports that the city is not going in that direction anymore and that Layfon should come back home. He says that the bug can fly and catch up to the city…so he must kill it now. Felli isn’t very happy with this plan but Layfon goes back to hacking up the bug. Until he is smushed into the ground. All looks pretty bad until Nina and Sharnid roll up. Nina says that they need to leave and that Layfon can’t do anything with his jacked up weapon anyway. Layfon explains the situation to them and they decide how they are going to kill it. Felli helps them locate a canyon so Nina can be bait. When the bug falls into the hole Layfon uses his awesome powers of awesomeness to zip her back up while the rocks fall on the bugs head. All goes to plan and everyone goes YAY! Nina has a new found respect for Layfon and what his life must have been like before. There is teamwork and a dramatic scene of running back to the city. And they all lived happily ever after!
This episode had a little bit of everything and everything went pretty smoothly. Nothing too annoying or special. Plus less Meishen makes Tenchi a very happy Tenchi.
This week’s Engrish was pretty stupid though. Or maybe just entirely unnecessary. It lasted like less than a minute and didn’t tell us ANYTHING. It is still just that guy shooting the dogs with human faces. That is all that happened. Unless you count that this scene ended like a film slide. It almost reminded me of LOST and how things don’t make sense. I just hope if there is Engrish next week it actually means something and it’s so pointless.
Nina was pretty special in this episode. I kinda am wondering how she became Captain anyway. She doesn’t have her priorities straight. A good leader knows that over extending yourself is a really bad thing not only for yourself but for the team. A good leader knows that being jealous over someone’s natural talent and TRYING to be just as great as them is not going to end well. A good leader doesn’t train by herself in the middle of nowhere in case she passes out and DIES! So yeah…Nina is not a very good leader.
But apparently she seems to get it NOW. I guess passing out and breaking your kei or whatever can do that. She realizes that Layfon is just way too awesome and that she can never reach that point. That she doesn’t have to be the strongest person on the team…she just has to be their leader. Layfon can’t lead everyone like Nina should be able to. So now that she understands that…she should be able to slip into super bitch mode and get everyone in shape!
Sharnid was kinda odd this episode. He was upset he was left out of the loop…but he never goes out of his way in practice or battles. He just does the bare minimum and isn’t really the hang out kind of guy. He did go to the café with Layfon, but that was more to make fun of someone, not to bond. So I guess it came out of nowhere that Sharnid wanted to feel apart of the team and that he was very offended that people weren’t telling him secrets. I guess he had to be the one who man handled Harley a little bit so Nina and he could go and save the day. Just bleh though.
Now…Sharnid wasn’t the only one not minding their own business. Despite how special Naruki’s workout with Layfon…the rest of her dialogue was special. Why are people spying on Nina while she goes home? I mean, I understand that people are concerned about Nina and her working so hard…but Naruki had no business spying on her. Or whoever spied on her. Maybe it was Meishen because she is a jealous ho. I just felt that it was a bit of a stretch again. But yay for fan service?
I really think the people in charge of these moving cities and schools are majorly stupid. I mean, what good is having a probe that tells you where the enemy is if you are going to KEEP ON GOING TO THE ENEMY!? I mean, oh there is a bug…let’s keep on driving to it! But then they decide to change plans after Layfon fought over a day. They decided THEN it was a good time to change course? After the dang thing sprouted wings and was hungry for human flesh? Yay, that is really awesome. Not.
Felli is special ed. She thinks that her brother is using Layfon. I guess in some way he could be using Layfon…but again I want to live. Felli should want to live. So if Layfon was the only one that could take down the bug…well then BYEBYE Layfon, time for you to fight. Felli keeps projecting her feelings about being used on to Layfon. Personally I think she is selfish. If your ability can be used to protect yourself and all your loved ones, then that is what you do. And shouldn’t you WANT to protect people? I just want her to get it through her head that she and Layfon have special abilities…and that they have a duty to make sure people don’t die.
HOWEVER Felli has the right to be mad that Layfon was sent by himself. That sounds like a very bad idea. I understand that they were trying not minimize the amount of people who know about this situation…but a team would have been better. Or at least a few meat shields that Layfon could use while he took out the bug. :I Poor planning is poor.
But this entire episode was set up so the entire team could work together and kill the bug (granted Harley didn’t do much). But Nina came in and was the one leading the group and being “bossy”. Felli was directing them from far away and using her power. Layfon was able to save Nina and have their trap work. And Sharnid was there with his awesome motorcycle skills. Everyone in platoon 17 was happy and working together. YAY happy episode. Maybe next episode… Meishen will die. XD The end!
Clannad After Story Episode 20
The amount of cuteness in the first scene alone is overwhelming. Tomoya helps Ushio a tricky breakfast item while they talk about her teacher returning to school. Both seem excited that Tomoya is going to meet this awesome teacher. Tomoya takes Ushio to school…and is surprised at this HUGE boar that Ushio claims is the class pet. He starts to get a funny feeling and BAM Kyou is standing right behind him. Kyou is very formal and introduces to herself to Tomoya as if they were strangers. Tomoya gets a little X_X and is all polite and formal too. Then Kyou laughs at Tomoya for being so gullible and stupid. Tomoya tries to get back at her…but he is kinda shocked at how big Botan is (friggin huge). Ushio seems interested that her teacher and Daddy knew each other in school (although the dialogue is weird on if she already knew or not…) While Ushio plays with the fattie Botan, Kyou and Tomoya sorta catch up in the shade. Apparently since Nagisa has died NO ONE has had any contact with Tomoya. Of course everyone was worried about him and wanted to see him at New Year’s Eve…but no one did and Kyou apologizes for that. But she seems happy that Tomoya has worked on his issues and seems to be a happier person. Kyou muses that Ushio is a GOOD kid unlike Tomoya. Tomoya makes a face…but says she must take after Nagisa. Kyou says Ushio is a lot more adventurous that Nagisa…and if Tomoya isn’t careful Ushio might slip away from him. There is a cute little goodbye scene as Tomoya goes off to work. A happy little song plays as the characters go through their normal routine. Tomoya works, runs back to pick happy Ushio from school, and drops her back at home. During this Yusuke reveals that Fuko wants to play with Ushio which is odd since she is a shy person. He requests that Tomoya allow her to come over and play so she can become a stronger person. Of course he agrees. He returns to work…but Ushio gets out of the apartment to look at the new hospital. Tomoya doesn’t find out that Ushio sneaked out and he asks Ushio if she would like Fuko to come over and play. Ushio likes the crazy freak and agrees. Later that night Tomoya sings Nagisa’s “Dango” song to help Ushio sleep. She loves that song and falls asleep all happy. Tomoya falls asleep with tears in his eyes as he thinks of what could have been.
Fuko comes over the next day and it formal for 10 seconds. Then she decides she is going to kidnap Ushio and take her far away. When Tomoya says NO Fuko loses her mind. There is much talk of aliens and winning Ushio over with her star bread. There is also Fuko and Ushio running around with Dangos on their head and how Tomoya is going to destroy the world by putting on some tights. They decide to play card games…but Fuko keeps asking questions about Nagisa and it’s okay if Tomoya thinks of his wife when he sees her. Tomoya tries to be brave and snarky when she talks about Nagisa..but he eventually tears up. Fuko gets a little serious and says she is available whenever…to take care of Ushio of course. Fuko finally leaves and Tomoya is feeling pretty tired. The next day at school (I assume) Kyou tells Tomoya that some kind of track day is coming up and that parents have to participate. He doesn’t seem very excited about it when Kyou tells him and he doesn’t seem very excited when Sanae is all excited about it. Akio is training to be one of the main runners in a relay…and decides that Tomoya is going to be the main runner for the parent’s team. After seeing Ushio’s cute face…Tomoya gets all serious and decides to make Ushio proud. So now Tomoya spends a lot of free time training and exercising. Ushio sneaks out again to go to the hospital and Fuko tags along/makes sure she doesn’t get squished. Fuko asks why Ushio feels so drawn to this place…and she can’t answer. It’s the day before the track event and Tomoya and Akio are trying to glare each other down. But the fun times are now over…as Ushio walks in the room…and collapses with a fever. :*( The end.
I will FORCE myself to talk about the happy parts of the episode first…despite how sad I am feeling right now. Because I am a very brave person. Or it makes chronological sense…but I am sure it is because I am super brave.
Ushio is way too friggin cute. I am glad that my husband wasn’t awake when I watched this episode because my MOG SO CUTE outcries might have annoyed him. But then again I don’t care. Because she WAS beyond adorable. Riding the huge Botan and running around with the dango on her head…I wanted to screenie every single second.
But that would be a buttload of screenies. And take forever to load the page. And it might be a little bit excessive. I will restrain myself …as some scenes are are better animated than screenied anyway. XD But Ushio brings out the cute in everyone, even Tomoya. Her cute happiness is contagious and I for one love it.
WHY IS BOTAN SO BIG?! X_X Do wild boars get that big in the wild or was Kyou feeding him too many cheeseburgers?! If I were a 5 year old I would run away in terror at the sight of that huge monster. But Ushio is not like other kids. And this is anime, where the class pet can’t be a cute turtle or whatever. It has to be a giant boar. Rules do not apply in anime.
I am very happy for the return of Kyou. Hopefully this means the return of everyone else (I MISS YOU KOTOMI!!!!!). She hasn’t changed a bit which is amuses me that no one ages in this anime. She is a kind kindergarten teacher…but still snarks it up with Tomoya. What is a Kyou and Tomoya scene without some insults. XD I am sure Ushio would find it amusing.
But this episode did confirm one thing: No one kept in contact with Tomoya for these past 5 years. And that makes me really sad. I am sure that Tomoya wasn’t a bowl full of happiness…but sometimes you are supposed to suck it up and be around you friend even if they are a pain in the ass. :( I love how she mentioned that they were planning on seeing him THIS New Year’s Eve….but not last year …or the year before. :( I mean, maybe they did try to keep in contact with him for the first year and kept getting blown off…but I didn’t think that happened.
It does make me sad that these friends that spent all this time together drifted apart so dramatically…but I guess that happens in real life. High school is when you spend a lot of time with your friends and times are “carefree”. So even had Nagisa had lived…maybe everyone would still have drifted apart and only gotten together occasional. But it still hurts to watch.
Not that any of this matters as Kyou and Tomoya picked up right where they left off. They are still able to talk seriously and pick on each other. Those kinds of friendships are great, the kind that you can NOT see for a while and things are still the same. I hope that is the same for everyone. That and Kyou makes a really cute teacher. BUT WHERE IS KOTOMI!!??? Studying must be over in America…because I deem it so.
I personally LOVE this new Tomoya. Before he was wasting all his free time to gamble and smoke. Now he is out there busting his butt to impress his daughter in this silly track thing deal. It is such a typical dad thing to do..but it is super cute that Tomoya is doing it. He is just naturally a great father…or competitive when it involves Akio. But either way I loved how hard he is going to work to show his kid he is an awesome dad. :P Such a happy little scene.
While I am still not pleased about the whole let’s leave a 5 year old at home deal…I am less thrilled with the idea that said 5 year old is going around the city BY HERSELF. I understand that Ushio is drawn to the special Nagisa area…but I wish she was drawn to that area when adults are around. :*( I think that we can be reminded of that area and not get hit by cars at the same time. SAFETY PLEASE!
Fuko is a crazy little fruit cake still. But I am glad there are still the star fishes. What is Fuko without star fishes?! What with her alien talk and how Tomoya was going to destroy the world by putting on tights…is pretty insane. Almost more insane than she was before x_X. But it is weird that with her 10th grade mind (I think) she wants to be friends with a 5 year old? I would think she would want to be friends with other teenagers but then there would be no interaction with Fuko and we can’t have that now can we?
What I DIDN’T like was how Fuko was so oblivious to Tomoya’s pain. Granted she is only 15…but what kind of 15 year old is that stupid? Let’s just keep bringing up the dead wife and how Fuko must remind him of Nagisa. It was just really cruel. Poor little Ushio didn’t know any better…but I am sure that all hurt Tomoya greatly. :( Why do all these things keep happening to Tomoya?
Of course there is more bad news on the way…as Ushio is now sick. Everyone was happy and things were looking up…and Ushio collapses. Most kids get little fevers and all is okay…but not with Ushio. No because nothing good happens in Tomoya’s life for long. And being that Ushio is Nagisa’s child…things are probably not good. :( I thought that Tomoya was going to have a little more time before the sad train came to town but apparently not. :( I don’t know how much more Tomoya can handle.
So what started out really super cute ends sad. And next episode and the following episodes are probably going to go down hill from here. ;( And I thought we were going to get some more reunions with friends and cute times. Why does Clannad do this to me?! :( Sadness!
To Aru Majutsu no Index Episode 21
It’s an amazing day in the neighborhood. Index and Touma are happily eating breakfast before Touma goes off to school. Index is a little sad that she is going to be left home all day, but Touma promises that he will take her somewhere after school. All seems well after he leaves…until she realizes WHO WILL MAKE HER LUNCH!? On the way to school Touma runs into Misaka whom is still embarrassed about yesterday’s event (dating and all). Touma says that he is tired so Misaka takes that as OH so Touma was out with another girl later. It really made no sense. Touma then runs into Komoe driving to school. She starts telling Touma about how she is doing research for someone about something that SOUNDS complicated, but it is really the thought that psychics can feel the presence of other psychics. Elsewhere Motoharu has gone to visit floating blob man Aleister. Motoharu is worried since there is a powerful mage from The Church of Necessary Evil in town and apparently the psychics are attacking her. He wants to go deal with this problem since he works with both groups. Aleister says that won’t be necessary which leads Motoharu to believe that Aleister is planning something against Touma. Because apparently Motoharu has mind reading power. Aogami and Touma are wondering where Motoharu is and why the heck he is late. Komoe walks in and announces that they are going to have a transfer student. But instead Index walks in, shocking Komoe and Touma. Komoe hands her money and tells her to get the fudge out. While Komoe is yelling at Index, the real transfer student walks in and it is AISA! Index decides to not go home and instead go to the cafeteria and get something to eat. However she can’t work the vending machine and she wails that it ate the money. Suddenly some big boobed girl comes out of nowhere and is stammering and helping her out. Her name is Hyōka and she claims to be a new transfer student or something. Touma is roaming the halls, looking for Index apparently and he finds changing her clothes with Index and apparently all in indecent.
After Touma gets his face eaten by Index, Index goes on and on about things trying to confuse him, but she eventually introduces Hyōka to Touma…who probably isn’t very impressed. Hyōka then shoves the kitten into her boobs because that makes sense. Komoe comes by to yell at Touma for missing the opening ceremony. Touma asks why Hyōka isn’t getting in trouble, but she has already high tailed it out of there. Hyōka and Index go to talk outside, Index sad that Touma yelled at her. Hyōka says that is a good sign of friendship if you can argue with the other person. Touma goes over to the two and says it is a half day and he is willing to take them out to lunch. He runs over to the ATM and Aisa approaches him. She is a bit sad at first he is not happy to see her and feels as if she isn’t an important character. POOR AISA! Touma tries to make it up to her by inviting her to lunch, but she claims to have plans. She does warn Touma about being careful around Hyōka…as there was a Hyōka at her old school and she was very mysterious and powerful. Aisa also says that Hyōka is apart of the Imaginary Numeral District: Pentagon Trap. Not quite sure WHAT this thing does…but Touma and Aisa agree it needs to be monitored. So Touma decides to go eat with them ANYWAY because that is the thing to do. Index is very interested in this underground area of shops and goes X_X Aiho (another teacher) is talking to Komoe about a number of things, but has to run when she is called to duty (being an Anti Skill member and all). But before she leaves she does hint there were two intruders on campus today. Aisa comes in, as her errand was with Komoe and hands over some documents. She also questions whether or not Hyōka is really a student. Kuroko has hunted down the mage that has broken into the city (Sherry). Kuroko thinks she has the upper hand when attacking Sherry, the lolita cosplayer. However, Sherry depends on a spell that summons a golem as long as she can write..and well she sorta wins. Misaka comes out of nowhere and frees Kuroko (who declares her undying love to her) but Sherry escapes. Sherry continues to walk around the city TALKING TO HERSELF LIKE A CRAZY PERSON and writing on everything. This creates eyes for her to spy around the city. Tis very creepy…so THE END!
EWWW girl with huge boobs. Well I guess that Kaori has big boobies too…but they don’t annoy me as much as Hyōka’s.
Let’s talk about Hyōka first just to get her out of the way. BORING. We have so many stereotypes rolled all into one person and the result is ANNOYING. Huge boobies, the over sized glasses, the stuttering/shyness with people, the mysterious past, and….well stupid. Yeah, she is ten kinds of annoying. :I Why would Index want to be her friend instead of Aisa? Of course this Hyōka chick is going to be someone important too…:( Why must I suffer?!
Okay…that is enough about Hyōka right? Time for Aisa? YAY AISA IS BACK?! So why doesn’t Touma care at all? And why wasn’t in explained that Aisa is going to be living with Komoe from now on? That fact would have been nice. X_X It also seems that Aisa’s personality has changed a little bit. Now she is a bit more sacarastic and aware of what is going on. BUT STILL SHE IS CUTE!
And useful..unlike some big boobed people I know. She knows that Hyōka is probably a vampire or a really bad person and that Touma should stay away from her. Given that Index trusts her should be a big sign too. :( More Aisa and less Hyōka please!
Of course the funniest part of the episode was Index doing the dramatic realization that Touma wouldn’t be there to feed her lunch. That was such an awesome face. Only in Index’s world, you know the world were people were hunting her down and everyone is trying to kill Touma would that be the most dramatic part of her day.
Misaka was pretty random in the episode. I am not sure what she was talking about with Touma in regards to another girl. When you are jealous you should do a better job of hiding it…instead of completely bringing up random things. XD But she a nice touch, making sure we all didn’t forget about the current plot and that the Accelerator was happening at the same time.
I am not sure how I feel about Shelly. For one…I read she is really, REALLY tan and not black. That is kinda special. Then she was talking to herself at like 15 miles an hour…and not making much sense. I guess her conversation was more for us viewers so we know her powers and what not. It just came across as ultra special. Other than that she seems nice…I guess. X_X
Well hello Aleister. Haven’t seen you for a while…and again I still have no idea what you are talking about. Motoharu knows what you are talking about but I don’t. But it is nice to see your floating body again. Perhaps next time you can inform me about this pentagram thing too? It would be lovely.
So a lot of things happened this episode and I understood about 75 percent of it. That means it is pretty much a success to me. XD Index is still mighty special for coming to a school unannounced. Hopefully next time big boobed girl will die and Aisa will take her place as a more important character YAY!
Maria + Holic - Episode 8
It is late at night and the doggie is patrolling the halls. It patrols the halls a lot in this episode and keeps staring at some lock door. Maria is singing a song during the night and Kanako is stupid enough to ask what song it is and how Maria knows English. Kanako tells her mother in heaven that Founder’s Day and Virgin Mary day are coming up soon. She learns of this fact after Maria beats in her head about being a Christian school THUS they do Christian things. But after being in school for 2 months Kanako is still stupid about what being a Christian is. Her friends try to educate her about the matter, but she only seems to care about are cosplaying sexy angels. But Kanako soons learns that since she is the second year rep…she is actually going to help with the festival, not just nose bleed all over people. Insert the god dorm leader talking about the 7 mysterious of the school. Kanako is feeling very overwhelmed at the meeting and stupid as she knows NOTHING about what is going on. She comes up with an awesome plan to ask the overall student president Ayarin for answers. She is all happy with the sparkles around Ayari and her friend. Ayari really doesn’t answer her questions, but says that Maria should help her out since they are roomates. Then Ayari is like OH since you are older you feel awkward asking for help…so I will help you out tomorrow. Kanako decides to mess up the romance by asking why Ayari hates Maria. It gets all -_________- but Ayari says that she DOESN’T hate Maria, that they are just so close people might think they are unfriendly. Kanako feels much better about the situation and goes skipping off in the distance. Ayari is thinking to herself that she doesn’t hate Maria…she SUPER hates Maria. Because apparently Maria only eats the best parts of the food and leaves her to eat the crap. Her friend Natsuru asks Ayari what is wrong so Ayari has to pretend all is happy in jealous leftover land. Elsewhere Maria and his maid are walking the grounds. Maria is thinking back to the event that caused this great fight. It was a simple misunderstanding of a lost item or something and Maria tried to make amens with a sailor moon wand or something. But apparently things did not end well. Maria is sad since she liked Ayari…because she can use her. The maid seems to think otherwise but Maria stares her down.
Elsewhere people are FINALLY realizing that Kanako is a big fat pervert. Maybe not Sachi, but Nanami and Inamori. They try to be nice about it and tell her she is hard to understand and they might slap her around a little bit….but she deserves it. But none of that matters as Kanako is happy that she is going to meet with Ayari and takes turns freaking out and being happy. But on the way to the meeting the maid throws a basketball at her head and nearly kills Kanako. But not yet since there are episodes left…Kanako is taken to the clinic. There Ayari and her friend Natsuru come to talk to Kanako about this festival. Kanako admits she is not a Christian and has no idea what is going on. After laughing at her stupid self, Ayari tells Kanako not all students know about Jesus or believe in Christianity and what not. So now Kanako doesn’t feel like SUCH a bad person. Ayari explains during prayer time perhaps the students who don’t believe think about something positive or how to help someone. Kanako decides that is beautiful. Maria of course is Christian because of tax deductions. Kanako thinks about traditions and all sorts of stuff as Maria gets ready to do her singing thing again. Kanako is caught up in the beautiful moment and asks to learn the song too. Maria says…No and Kanako goes off screen and dies. But not really. But the dog goes into the forbid area and might die. The end.
Oh…is it time to blog about this episode now? Yay? Not.
To be fair this episode wasn’t AS bad as all the others. There were no really naked
girls and the plot made sense. So I will try to not AS harsh.
I am SO happy that people are finally realizing that Kanako is stupid and a pervert. I mean, you can like other girls…but there is a difference between being a lesbian and being a perverted idiot. Now people are all out ignoring her requests and questions about their boobies. YAY FOR PAYING ATTENTION!
Maria is still awesome. I love how he takes Kanako down so easily and she keeps coming back for more. Maria must be that awesome. Although I would have liked to hear his and whether or not he can sing like a girl.
But I think Kanako deserves a lot that is thrown at her. Maria makes good points that Kanako is being very disrespectful by attending a Christian school and not knowing anything about being a Christian. I mean, kids that are forced there have an excuse. But she decided to go to that school on her own and just to be a pervert. Get her more Maria.
This entire Ayari issue is confusing, yet amusing. I knew it was going to be something petty and stupid. So Maria likes the best ends of the food and Ayari was dumb enough to eat them? Maria accidentally loses something of Ayari’s and the world is over? Someone needs to get a reality check and start being Maria’s whipping girl again.
I am not sure what the dog was up to the entire episode or what the god person was up to…but I am sure it is very important and not a stupid insignificant fact. NO! This show would never have useless information in it!
Err…what else happened in this episode? Oh, Kanako getting hit in the head with a ball was pretty fun for me. Cosplaying angels are pretty interesting too. Um….*tries to think of what else happened in this episode*
I guess one of the nice things about this episode was how Ayari talked about prayer time being used to focus on bettering yourself. It sounds like a good alternative to actually praying to God. This show tales place at a Christian school but doesn’t pressure it’s students to be Christians. Pretty cool if you ask me.
So I predict that Kanako messes up this festival thing and that I will laugh at her pain. Or that Maria will help Kanako out before she makes a huge fool of herself. Whatever does happen…I hope that is becomes interesting soon….
