Blood-C The Last Dark movie: Was it worth the wait?

Last year at this time I was looking forward to a new show called Blood-C. Being familiar with the Blood franchise I knew Saya was going to be some sorta of vampire/monster/human hybrid and was going to slash up some monsters and blood would flow. With CLAMP included in this project how could it fail?

What do you mean you didn't think the movie was going to do well?!

Well it did folks. I hope everyone reading this has watched the series (not necessarily the movie but there will spoilers for that too) but except for the twist at the end, that the entire town including Saya’s friends were in on this massive secret…the show was extremely boring. Yes people died in gruesome and creative ways but the censors prevented any of us from seeing the violence (now available on BLU-ray!) Yet despite how slow the show and Saya were there were defenders of this show. That this was all a set up for the most epic movie ever and that the slow pace was necessary to build up to bigger and better things. Well now that the movie is out and I have read some people’s takes on it…was it worth the wait? Did all the questions from the TV show get answered? Did the slow pace of the anime make the movie that much more magical?

Writing a review on something I have not watched yet is odd. Hopefully not inaccurate since I have tried to find out as much as I can about it. Someone update Wiki already! But from what I have read…this amazing movie….was not so amazing which makes the anime series a waste of time and everyone who supported the show should be going WOE IS ME! Woe is you indeed! This movie let you all down.

Since I haven’t seen the movie I can’t give a synopsis on what happened. I just know bits and pieces. But the pieces I do know have made my brain explode in HAHAHAHA More like Blood C Left in the Dark! Several bloggers have stated that major plot points from the anime that people were expecting to be answered in the movie weren’t! To me that would be Watanuki’s involvement in this hot mess and what the hell Fumito is doing torturing Saya.

There are rules you say? Never heard of these RULES!

Well lets just say that the movie decides the most important rule EVER in XXXholics no longer matters. Apparently Saya can just walk into the shop and take what she wants with NO payment at all. Some people have stated maybe Saya disappearing might have been the price for the sword but I am not buying that. The terms are talked about up front, even if Yuuko or Watanuki are vague about what exactly those details are. To say OH you can owe me…nope not buying it.

Clearly his master plan was to steal something of Watanuki's and look just as depressed as him. I see now.

Fumito was the mastermind behind Saya verses the old ones. In the anime series it appeared he was trying to prove something. Whether or not Saya could overcome her urges if she was given new memories and what not. If Saya won and remained herself she would get something. If he won he could get something. Well it appears that this SOMETHING involved a kiss. Again haven’t seen the hot mess of the movie myself but that is what I have been reading. Like really!? REALLY!? Well and she got to kill humans IE him but what was up with the kiss then?! Add in the fact that part of Fumito’s plan revolves around Tokyo teenagers and hackers and I am left saying…wft? No like seriously what the hell was the point of all of this?! People who have seen the movie are unable to answer this, that they know characters are doing things but are unclear why they are doing them.

Wait I am still alive at the end of this?! SO SHOCKED!

Oh and in another surprising turn of events…Saya is actually able to protect someone. Shocking I know as Saya’s record was less than...existing. I believe she saved 2 people in the entire town (which all died anyway but you know…). So the fact that Saya was able to keep someone alive that long surprises me. Totally goes against the anime but maybe Saya having her brain blown out made her smarter. Maybe she sensed the girl actually liked her (like really, REALLY liked her) and that motivated to keep someone honest alive.

Looks like we have seen most of one battle just in the trailers!

I don’t even know why I blogged this without seeing the movie. I guess I didn’t want to wait the 6 months it would take to get a copy of it for myself. I am just so mean, doing cartwheels over something failing so hard. I do wish I had a full synopsis of the film so I could truly laugh all over the place. But the news that there are only 3 action scenes (the ones all over the trailers I am guessing) and that most of the big questions are never answer just seemed too good to pass up. It appears the anime and the movie are both the same: disappointing and sad. HAHAHA!

Lets take a bath together so people will have a reason to watch the movie.

This all being said I will still watch the movie because I want to see things get slashed and squished. It will just be easier knowing that yes in fact the movie is going to suck and just enjoy the ride to crazytown. Unless I get shot in the head too and change my mind about everything. That Fumito and him using the old ones makes sense and this is the best movie ever! XD

Blood-C episode 12: FINAL EPISODE DE CRAP!

FINALLY! It is finally time to blog the awesome train wreck that is Blood-C. No more AWA posts XD

The Uglies...eat humans? I AM SHOCKED! Everything makes sense now. SHOW OVER!

I don’t even have time for this opening. Spoilers for utter stupidity and monsters doing AWESOME things…behind censors of course.


The Summary got a little out of hand. Forgive me!

Episode Summary: Everyone is still very SHOCKED about Fumito showing up. The Ugly is so shocked in momentarily shrinks in size and sits quietly in the background. Itsuki questions if it is okay for Fumito to be here while everyone else is questioning why this show even got made. Saya seems to be regaining….I guess consciousness and the twins go on damage control. Shinichiro and Kanako did not get the memo it was beg for your life time and piss Fumito off. Well he is more mad that Kanako is touching Saya which is special as Kanako was dragging Saya away from the Ugly. After being dropped on her head Saya starts remembering that Fumito was behind EVERYTHING! Shocking. He found out that Saya was Queen of the Uglies and is unable to eat humans. Her “forbidden fruit” is eating other Uglies. Fumito also explains that this Covenant was the Japanese government giving permission to the Uglies to eat a certain number of humans but no more! Fumito set up this town so Saya could eat, drink, and be useless. The game would be to see if Saya would remain the same person if she had her memories and surroundings altered. If she won she would be allowed to eat humans and if Fumito won…well we don’t need to know that right?!

You lied to us?! MORE SHOCKING NEWS!!!

Nene and Nono ask if they can leave now that Saya has her memories back. Fumito says yes and the twins and Shinichiro are quickly killed off. Kanako runs for her life but is captured by the Ugly. For some reason Saya snaps out of lala land and tries to rescue Kanako. She goes as far to go INTO the Ugly and stab it from the inside. After being rescued three times Kanako runs off into the arms of Daddy Dearest. Only HAHA he is an Ugly too and kills her. Saya is like what he is NOT my real father. Good thing she has her memories back. Turns out Daddy is half human/half Ugly and because of that he was able to capture her for some reason? And connect with her. I don’t know but whatever. Turns out that Fumito harvested Saya’s blood to control all the other Uglies and summon them at will. Because that is how blood works okay. The name of this show is Blood-Control. Brain controlled Daddy starts fighting Saya. In between getting kicked around and strangled Saya has a conversation with Fumito. Basically the main cast had to survive and Saya should worry about dead humans. Fumito explains (slightly) that it was Saya who made this promise to someone (Watanuki doggie) about not eating humans but I guess she changed her mind. Daddy kicks Saya around but she manages to overpower him in his human form. He switches to Ugly form and Saya seriously gets her ass handed to her. Suddenly she gets that random vision of a flying sword. She grabs it…and it powers her up and she defeats Daddy. Daddy tells Saya that despite the fact that he was lying to her he was happy to be with her. He then dies and Saya is all sad face.

The crazy person who hired you...?

Saya chases after Fumito but he summons a bunny Ugly to take her out. She cuts him in half and continues the chase. Fumito has been guarding exit and they shoot at Saya. Itsuki decides to go hero on us and flings himself in front of some bullets. This ends well for him. But he also states that despite the fact he was a lying asshole he came to like the fake Saya. So he dies and no one cares. Since Saya cut the bunny Ugly in half that means it can multiple into 4839438975875 Uglies who run across town killing the “innocent” extras in fun and creative ways. While people are getting turned into corn on the cobs and smoothies Fumito is casually running people over in his car and talking to Yuka about her plans on being governor of Tokyo. Saya shows up after everyone else is dead and cuts the first Ugly into a million pieces which seems to kill the rest. Saya then flies in the air to chase after Fumito who is in a helicopter. Fumito is like NOT and shoots half her head off and we see it!! As Saya falls into the water Fumito explains the candy was made of Ugly Blood. It takes Saya several days to regenerate her head enough to move. All the while she is sad about the betrayal of everyone and cries. Watanuki dog appears to tell the audience that Saya’s wish was to remain herself and that the second part of her wish probably won’t go over well. Saya gets up and runs through the “town” eventually making it to a city. THE END!

MOG folks. It ended so very, very badly. And yet….I think it ended exactly how I thought it was going to. So much for surprises right?

Everything is so SHOCKING!

The twins and Shinichiro being taken out…SO SHOCKING. I even predicted in my head that one of the twins would push the other down to save herself. Not that it matters as they have all watched the extras get nommed. It would have been nice to see a little unity between the sisters. But no no folks. These characters are so bad we got to show them being evil to their own siblings. I am sure if they had saw the Watanuki dog they would have kicked him or something.

Kids being kids. You know, running prostitution rings and all.

But before they were eaten by the well behaved Ugly they were amusing. I loved the wild hand movements and how they claimed to just be silly teenagers. Shinichiro was like give me my money bitch and wasn’t very amusing. I think maybe given the seriousness of the situation he could have acted like he cared about being alive and maybe not the money.

I think Saya is either a very confusing person or a ill constructed character....

Kanako actually lived longer than I thought she would. For someone who wants to EAT humans Saya tried pretty hard to protect her ass. Saya was like let me crawl in this monster and save you!!! Of course since this is Saya her rescue ratio was like…zero: everyone in the entire series but hey she tried folks. Of course there is always the possibility that Saya was trying to save Kanako to kick her ass? Not sure why as Kanako was trying to help Saya…for her own selfish reasons of course but help nonetheless.

What the hell is this?! WHAT THE HELL?!

Itsuki dying was probably the stupidest thing I have seen in quite a while. I think Kyubey got shot less than that. Swiss Cheese Kyubey wasn’t able to talk after being blasted though. Itsuki managed to say that despite acting at first he grew to love Saya. And that deep down singing, stupid Saya is the real Saya. I am glad he wasted his life in protecting the REGENERATING GIRL from bullets. So stupid. So stupid indeed. Also I am pissed that we didn’t get to learn Itsuki’s reason for being in on this act.

So not counting the guards two people out of an entire town lived. Yay body counts!!!!

But did I cry for Itsuki getting shot 1567 times? No I wasn’t. And I wasn’t cheering that Yuka got to live. Because everyone in the main cast was an awful human being. Like oh okay Itsuki you are a great person for taking an unnecessary shooting for Saya. But where was that humanity when all of your “classmates” got shot? Oh it doesn’t matter because they weren’t main cast? Why couldn’t EVERYONE in on this game be given special I am not Dead talismans? They just had to be dead to affect Saya right? But yeah. No love for the main cast.

Kanako obviously knew nothing.....how did Fumito find and hire these people?

I am not sure how much information the extras knew. The main cast seemed to be missing some details too, like the sword Saya used was not important at all. But all the extras are stupid. Very very stupid. The second the bakery dude went missing it was time to LEAVE. I don’t know what they were told they were doing there but if they were promised safety by Fumito obviously they were lied to. Of course only stupid people would join and scenario that involved monsters and taming a human looking one. Maybe it is hard to use logic on stupid people.

Working with sleazy people can end badly? What is the word of the day people?!

I will however say that logic was not on the animators side at all. Saya went to a small town with one bakery, one restaurant, one café, and one high school. A high school that didn’t have enough students to fill the other classrooms. But then in this final episode there were about a million people being killed on the streets. Really now. REALLY?! There are that many stupid people in the world? Oh and where were all these people…the entire show? I never saw the streets filled with people or anyone else drinking Café De Blood. So…..yeah. I totally believe there were hundreds of people living in this town. I really do.

MMMMMMMM fresh corn.

I would be cheering on the creative death scenes if I could SEE them. I mean….eating people off your fingers like Bugles? Collecting people in part of yourself then changing into a blender to make a people smoothie? Amazing. Amazing. Not amazing enough to put aside the fact there couldn’t have been that many people in town but you know. YOU KNOW.

So now that I have talked about the basic rundown the show it is time for the fun to begin. The WHY THIS SHOW SUCKS portion if you will.

The truth being that this show sucks of course.

You know that random vision of Saya seeing a flying sword? Means nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was like CLAMP remembered they made it a big deal in the first few episodes and decided to give it a lame explanation. Or no explanation at all.

Useless tease of a plot that meant NOTHING!

You know that promise Saya was trying to remember? Or rather what Watanuki was hinting at? Well it turns out Saya’s wish was to remain herself. Well wish NOT GRANTED. Watanuki were you paying attention to Saya? The singing songs about bumblebees and sucking at everything Saya? I seriously doubt that is how Saya was before. Of course since we have no idea what Saya was like before maybe she like that. I seriously doubt that as Saya herself tells Itsuki this is not really her. So lame. Lame.

You know all that random talking Fumito made the entire series? Yeah that was pretty much the entire experiment. Trying to see if Saya would become more human if she had her memories changed. Because that won’t produce skewed results at all. I bet if you change every memory I have and give me a different upbringing I would be different too. Not drinking blood different but still. So not sure what that was supposed to accomplish.

What do you mean this show was supposed to make sense?!

You know how the twins, Shinichiro, and everyone was supposed to jog Saya ‘s memories?....No wait I want someone to explain that to me. Fumito changed Saya’s memories on purpose to prove she could be human right? So….why was the main cast supposed to help her remember over time if he was just going to make her forgot on purpose? WHAT THE POINT OF THIS ENTIRE SHOW?! I watched this episode 2 days ago and it still makes no sense to me. NO SENSE AT ALL!

And why is that? Can I have one answer please?

You know that forbidden fruit Saya “eats”? Other Uglies. Like I said before. And that makes no sense as other Uglies have nommed on dead and dying Uglies. So that is stupidest thing ever.
Just….there is so much stupid to cover and so little time. Well I guess I have enough time. I am just at 2k words now. Like if Fumito was controlling the Uglies why were they telling Saya what was going on? If they had the ability to tell Saya what the heck was happening why didn’t they explain it to her sooner in light of the fact that SHE EATS THEM?! None of this honor thy covenant crap. More like oh hi you are being controlled by a crazy man feeding you blood candy.

On the covenant?! That big deal covenant? Yeah it was the Uglies were allowed to eat a certain number of people. Only I don’t think it counts when the Uglies are being summoned by Fumito so why is it being brought up at all?!

So...Saya made a promise to not eat humans to protect someone. Now she wants to break that promise so she can eat Fumito? She actually likes humans except for him? Is that what I am understanding?

The magical talismans were never explained nor what the dead fake bodies on the ground. But SURPRISE Fumito gave the twins and Shinichiro fake ones because…because why? Why were they even in town? They did their part and died so why were they still there? Why am I even talking about this stupid show?!

In the end everything sucked. Sucked Sucked Sucked. And on top of that the basic reason on WHY this was all happening was not explained. Fumito and his “mysterious” reasons for capturing Saya are just left up in the air. Although I think they will be so basic it won’t be worth knowing anyway.

My eyes cannot see blood!!! Censor this!

But fear not folks. Saya’s past, Fumito’s reasoning, and the TRUE ending to this madness will all be revealed in the movie. Which comes out in June of 2012. AMAZING right? We get a really crappy anime with such an open ending and no real answers and the movie doesn’t come out for like 10 months. We surely have been rewarded for our time.

I have yet to read any other comments about this hot mess series. I am pretty sure people will be full of rage or think this is the awesomest thing ever. Hopefully there are more full of rage people. I think it is clear where I lie on this matter.

I hate you CLAMP. Go back and fix XXXholics now.

Blood-C episode 11: Sanbara High School doesn't have a *winter* school uniform!

I think the people who have watched all 11 episodes of this hot mess so far should form a support group. We could make T-shirts or something. Get the word out on really bad anime and how it can affect someone for the rest of their lives.

At this point I have no idea what the movie could possibly be about. Maybe it will be a 90 minute apology to all of those who watched this show? Maybe it will show Saya moving into the Real World house in an attempt to make real friends? Who knows? No one knows. Not even CLAMP. They don’t even know what happened at the end of XXXholics and they wrote the damn thing.

Um...why isn't this censored?!

Needless to say this episode has reached new levels of WTF. You have been warned.

Remember what? You weren't there!

Episode Summary of WTFness: Saya spends most of the episode being molested by Kanako or sitting on the ground looking all blanked out. But basically the nondead twins and Kanako explain with the help of Shinichirou that HAHA everything is a lie. They were all hired to do something…something that could not be explained in this episode or any other episode because where would the fun in that be. But yes. Hired to do something and that no one really likes Saya. The twins sound like they aren’t teenagers and are really running a prostitution ring and are only here to get stuff taken off their record. Shinichirou just wants to get paid and is tired of playing the love interest. He is probably mad because his paycheck was drastically cut since Saya never realized he was the love interest. Tsutsutori is there because she wants to study the real deal. Shinichirou gives Saya some Ugly blood and she remembers back like…I don’t know, not yesterday when she was trying to escape a facility and Fumito was like oh no I want you. Then it fast forwards to Saya being tied up in the “mansion” only now we see blood getting pumped out of her. During all of this talking Kanako is molesting Saya for some reason. To make sure Saya really has a bad day or something.

Is he really 19 feet taller than the twins?

Anyway the non dead twins and Shinichirou aren’t dead because they have magical talismans that keep them alive. But don’t worry the censored deaths of everyone else counts yay. Also they talk about how Saya would drink the Uglies blood after each battle and by only drinking the blood would she remember her past. One would think that Watanuki doggie would have used that instead of just asking the same damn question 48435 times. Things get slightly stupid when the twins realize that there is actually a covenant but this line of thinking is stopped when a real Ugly bursts from the house. The twins and Shinichirou haul ass as Kanako drags Saya away. Saya is a little bit upset at all this information. But before they can escape Yuuka and Itsuki are there to tattle. Apparently the Key Master sees EVERYTHING and their attempts to ruin the experiment have not gone unseen. Itsuki pretends to care about Saya but he is an asshole too so who cares. Everyone starts screaming at everyone else and Fumito is like OH HI I am here and I am behind the experiment. Enter shocked faces from no one in the universe. THE END!

Oh snap. My popularity is going to suffer after this episode isn't it?

No no really folks. There was about 19 minutes of talking in this episode and I have no idea what they were saying. Only that everyone is an asshole now. WOOHOO! That is so creative, making everyone an asshole.

Oh and Fumito is the one in charge of the experiment. I know that is shocking to people…who haven’t watched this show. Mainly my cat and the homeless dude who harasses our customers for 50 cents. He needs to make a phone call!

MOG?! IT WAS HIM?! I had NO idea!!!

But for about 99 percent of the people watching this piece of crap…yeah. We knew that Fumito was behind everything. MAINLY BECAUSE IT WAS OBVIOUS! We couldn’t try to disguise his voice? Make his attempts to give Saya le poison less suspicious? Empty bird cages, hinting at what was in the treats, and running around with an arm that just got blood sucked out of it? How did we EVER put all this information together?! We all must be geniuses.

MOG! It all makes sense now. Time to wrap this sucker up. This obviously was the biggest clue that didn't exist in the series!

I guess the real “shocker” of this episode was the fact that everyone was in on….the experiment. Not that we know WHAT THE HELL THE EXPERIMENT IS?! Yes folks. I am still having anger issues over this. They spent the entire episode saying that Saya forgot, that they want her to remember, and that this experiment is lame. WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!? Why did Fumito run around Japan hiring crazy people to pretend to be Saya’s friends and then “pretending” to have them killed? What purpose does this serve? Why? Why me?!

Only Saya's name is ridiculous. Only her name. Remember that.

Until we know what the experiment is…..I hate everything. Everything. I mean…..were they supposed to help Saya remember the past? That can’t be as the “cast” said every time she was near the truth he (Fumito) would just hypnosis her again. Were they supposed to keep her happy and pretending she was a real girl? If so why bother keeping them alive? Real friends do not come back from the dead. They sorta…stay dead. So all of this could have been revealed in the exact same way except Teacher and Itsuki could have explained it. Without the “dead” people. A lot of “ “ going on in this post.

Newsflash: Yous is all bitches.

In case you missed the memo…Shinichirou is an asshole. I know this is super sad folks but he was in it for the money. Not sure WHAT he was doing but his glares at Daddy two episodes ago mean nothing. He was just mad the old man was keeping him from a paycheck. Really I should have known something was up when he was like oh yeah all our classmates are dead and I don’t care. Also look at me run up the stairs when I hear danger. I believed in you Shinichirou. My hopes and dreams are down the tubes. You were supposed to be the hero. Did the good times of egg lunches and cleaning up by the river mean NOTHING to you?

Oh don't worry. By the end of the last episode you all will be dead again. WEEE!!!

Really everyone is insane. Everyone. Whatever this experiment is they were not really told all the damn details. The twins seem to know nothing about the Uglies and are like what, they really are allowed to eat people? Instead everyone is just focused on being stupid. Like…..everyone is evil. The extras are really dead and they probably knew that coming in. So why would they risk being a part of this experiment if the creator has no problem killing off others? That is like dating a married man and then being surprised when he cheats on you.

I am so sure Itsuki was going to save the day. He was robbed!!

The best line of the entire episode was Itsuki being all pissed off. Because he is still “alive”. Sure dude. You were going to totally turn this all around. I believe in you.

WTF is this?

Oh and the molesting was completely unnecessary. Saya is already off in crazy is this happening to me land. She doesn’t need to be felt up too.

Saya. Just kill yourself right now. The future is not so bright for you.

So what did I learn from this episode? Well long ago Saya was trying to escape some people and Fumito was like no dude. Then he pumped some blood out of her and gave her other blood. Then he hired random people to be her friends to see if nature verses nurture really existed? Like why? WHY?! To learn about her? The only way to learn about an Ugly in human form is to build a village and hire some fake friends to see if she will hold on to her humanity?

Well newsflash Fumito. She don’t act human. Singing songs after people die is not a normal reaction to death. Well they aren’t really dead and they are actually assholes but she didn’t know that. No one loves coffee and blood candy that much. And one can hardly be human when they don’t question the serious lack of common sense and details in their lives. No one else was at school that day? Nope don’t care. One police officer for an entire town? Makes sense to me. Not one damn picture of momma in the house? Oh nothing to worry about. Just….so much fail.

Clearly the last 11 episodes showed this and I just wasn't paying attention.

Also is the forbidden fruit Saya has been consuming been her OWN blood? I am trying to make sense of this hot mess and have concluded that Saya has to be drinking her own blood. Because other Uglies have eaten one another and if the other Uglies were really made from Saya’s blood they would be stupid and clueless too.

I wonder what the Ugly from last week was complaining about. The extras were all real humans. Just go find one of them if you don’t want to eat stunt double Shinichirou. Or you know….tell Saya what the hell is going on so she stops killing yo ass. Just a thought.

So...if you weren't going to attack them why did you appear at that moment?

I really liked the part where an Ugly busts up the entire house and the “cast” decides to have a heart to heart 15 feet away. I guess their magical talismans were working. Probably won’t work that well now that Fumito is all pissed off and will take them away so everyone can redie.

I just don’t know what to say. I was waiting all day at work to come home and see how bad this episode would be. I guess I got my wish but I really wasn’t expecting everyone to be a Saya user. And I was expecting something resembling an explanation on what is going on. I guess we are supposed to be grateful knowing that Saya was really taking blood baths after battles and she really isn’t THAT dumb. Fumito is just making her that way.

But other than that…nope. Not grateful. Because apparently there are Uglies running around and there really is a Covenant. So all this nonsense didn’t have to be nonsense. It could have been real. Fumito could have put Saya in a real small town and used the actual people living there as bait/”friends”.

But until we figure out what the hell Fumito wants out of this experiment nothing will make sense. And even then I have no faith in this train wreck. If it comes down to a “monster” acting human because she was raised human….I hope Saya kills everyone and then herself.

Oh and Watanuki is clearly in this series to grant a wish. But it’s his own. To have CLAMP go back in time and not do this show so XXXholic could end better. The end.

Blood-C episode 10: Pass the coffee, hold the crazy

Amen folks. Amen.

Again folks. Again. I am full of words and opinions and poorly structured sentences that make little sense. Let’s just up into it! Spoilers for episode 10 of Blood C. I hear that Saya has the crazies?

Daddy can you SEEEEE me? Daddy can you hear the words I say?!

Episode Summary: Saya is all crying about not knowing who her mother is and her father stands there….not caring. Or taking care of his daughter. Because this is parental fail week in anime land. Before Daddy has to actually open his mouth and say words an Ugly appears out of nowhere. So magical. This ugly has a human head…and that is about it. Oh and a spine and hair. It spins around trying to attack Saya but Dad apparently had the sword in his pocket and is like have at it. The one mumbles a lot about Saya forgetting and how the humans broke the covenant and blahblah. Then Ms Head talks about being hungry and how everything tastes so horrible. She demonstrates how horrible the food is by eating Shinichiro who just RANDOMLY came back because he heard a noise. Then Saya gets serious but not before the Head Lady talks about how Saya eats something more forbidden that humans. Saya finally kills the monster. She gets headaches about the stuff she has forgotten, this time of someone standing next to her and how she used to kick ass in a past life (or something). She passes out. But never fear she wakes up to Fumito feeding her “coffee” and “candy”. She is grateful and smiles. Smiles folks.

Plain please. Hold the blood and special ingredients.

Fumito then goes to visit Dad who is feeling rather peckish. Later Fumito is seen looking pale and with wrappings on his arm. I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED! Saya gets ready for the day. Since everything is FAKE Saya only have her school uniform to wear so off she goes singing and looking for her dad in the magical reforming outfit. She goes to eat with Fumito despite the fact she just saw him like 5 seconds ago. Tsutsutori shows up, beyond heartbroken that her students are splats all over the school. Or she orders tea and orders Saya to take her to the temple and show her all the awesome old books. Eventually Tsutsutori gets her to say yes and off they go to discover the mysterious of the Uglies. Only Tsutsutori is like…look dude. I am sick of this show and want to go home. All the books in this damn room are fake, Nene and Nono are outside being creepy, and you is basically too dumb to die. Wake up crack head. THE END!

Holy crap folks!...No I still hate Saya. Who am I kidding.

Just when we thought Daddy was painted into a corner an Ugly busts out of nowhere to make sure the TRUTH is not told yet. Why we have two episodes and a movie to go. We can’t have things making sense just yet. I am beginning to think that CLAMP loved the show LOST so much they decides to incorporate elements of that show into this one. Specifically I think Daddy is calling on the Uglies, aka The Smoke Monster, when things get a little iffy. Also in regards to LOST this show is not making any sense and it is hard to tell when/if these events are even happening.

Okay. Stop acknowledging she forgot something and TELL HER WHAT IT WAS!

This Ugly was actually doing a lot of talking. Some of it was repeat of everything that has been said all along. Maybe this show was made for people with memory problems? Or 5 year olds. Yes we get it Uglies. Saya has forgotten SOMETHING. Saya should not feel bad that humans are being eaten. Saya is dumb. WE GET IT.

And we couldn't do this to start with because.......?

But since this Ugly was only a head she had to use her brain right. And her mouth. Saya wasn’t using her brain as she kept cutting the hair and not the head. We can’t even blame the sword this time can we? Saya never aimed for the head until…you know…after she sucked at life. Because Saya can’t kill an ugly with survivors around.

Have you tried some A-1 Sauce? I find that helps.

Back on Ugly. She kept talking about how lately nothing tastes good. I might argue that the other Uglies aren’t doing a great job at eating. Killing yes. But last week Purple Monster of Eyeballs ate 2 out of 20 deaths. Maybe if he ate more of his kills he might have found a tasty one? I kid I kid. Obviously she was hitting at that these “humans” being tainted yet that is all to eat.

Going on what Ugly said this is obviously the Truman Show. Saya is Truman and everyone is just an actor playing the part of driving Saya to crazy land. None of the deaths are real and the monsters are here to teach Saya something. Or going down an equally crazy world we are actually watching a video game! Yeah that’s it. Saya is trapped in THE WORLD. See how fun this show is? Just make up your own conspiracy theories as you go along.

Of course it is impossible to say what is going on. What I really thing (right now as things are always changing) are the humans being killed are not really humans. They don’t taste good because they are clones. Something not real. Of course the previews for next week show some non dead friends coming back and acting creepy. Which could totally ruin my theory. CLAMP has done the clone thing before so it could be possible.

Or maybe these people are really dead and were not tasty because they were bait. Bait to see how Saya would react. I say react because saving everyone is clearly not her real promise. If so there better be some suicide by sword at the end of episode 12. Just because the some people were talking at the end of this episode doesn’t mean they are REALLY there. Saya is a bit CRAZY if you would. Add in that Tsutsutori was seen molesting Saya in the previews and it could go either way. Maybe it really is happening or Saya is just not a very reliable narrator. Or she is stupid.

My post is not doing a good job of being chronological. I was trying to explain why this Ugly was a little more helpful than past ones. Purple Eyes was all like WHY YOU CRYING?! and that was about it. I guess when we get a small tidbit of information I spaz a little. Because the pacing is SOOOOO slow anything at this point is amazing. These humans don’t taste good. Got it.

Is she eating...herself? What could be more forbidden?

MsHair also said that Saya was consuming something far more forbidden. I HOPE she is not implying Saya has been eating other Uglies. We know Saya is getting blood from Fumito. Since Saya is the only one to drink coffee from FumitoRSuspicious I would guess the secret ingredient might be in that. Others in the series have eaten the candy. Either way both the blood and the something are in those products. What I am arguing is that the griffin ugly and his minions were eating the one that was injured in episode 4. So whatever Saya is eating better be something other than that or I will not consider it forbidden. But then I can’t think of anything else more forbidden than eating one’s own kind.

So let’s talk about the worse part of this episode and something that is pissing off everyone in internet land. Shinichiro is dead folks. Let us count the tears that Saya shed for him. Ready? Okay done. That would be ZERO folks. ZERO. She woke up the next morning and sang a song while looking for her dad. She was more worried about her dad who was NOT EATEN by a hair monster than the best part of the entire show being taken out.

Oh and can we talk about how lame that was? Um Saya CLAMP couldn’t think of a more creative way to be killed so they decides that I “heard” a commotion when I walked home 10 minutes ago. And in that 10 minute walk I forgot how awful you were at protecting people, that all my classmates were killed like…8 hours ago, and that I have no fighting abilities to speak of. So here I am, ready to investigate. Also this paragraph is about 482934873 times longer than the actual scene itself. Just bam Shinichiro is here and now he is dead.

.....I have no words.

It seems the more important the person is to Saya the more blah the death is. I always thought Yuuko was a closer friend to Saya and she was just simply dead. Saya really didn’t spend a lot of time protecting Yuuko. Now Shinichiro got taken out in 30 seconds without Saya shedding a tear? Cruel. And lazy. And dumb. Especially after Shinichiro showed some signs of rebelling. See it seems as if people were placed in Saya’s life to keep her in check and happy. But Shinichiro and his glaring at dad…it looks like if there WERE teams Shinichiro is now on team Saya and wants to help her. Whatever that means.

Not much was revealed in the “other scene”. Just that the person talking to Saya is not at the end of the table, but standing next to Saya. And we saw some past scene of Saya (A Saya I should say) in a different uniform kicking ass. Of course if she is related to this Saya she probably only kicked ass after the entire town was dead but still. We got 5 seconds of new information YAY!

5 hours later!!!!

So after not crying about Shinichiro or thinking about hey do I have a mom Saya wakes up to Fumito feeding her candy and coffee. For like 5 minutes. We get it. He is creepy!

Oh but the creepy is not over yet. We can’t find Daddy and since this is all a sham there are only a few real buildings in town he can be. So it is time for more coffee. AND SINGING! In the past 24 hours Saya lost like 99 percent of the people she talks to in the world and she is singing a song. And only stops because she is worried about her dad. Like….how am I supposed to like someone who is so cold hearted? This is some fail CLAMP. A likable heroine she is not. Mainly because she is not a hero.

How does it feel to meet the real thing Tsutsutori? Are you amazed?

Getting Saya to the Coffee Shop of Doom was an important video game move. She had to unlock wild card Tsutsutori and get her to start showing THE TRUTH. Which makes me wonder. I really thought Tsutsutori might be a researcher in town who would die finding out what Saya really was. But Tsutsutori is in on the crazy too. She is so in on the crazy she only wanted to come over to show Saya the OBVIOUS. Or maybe Tsutsutori was really pissed off that Saya can’t read. That entire room full of fake books and Saya never opened one?! Such fail.

How can you be so stupid?! XO

I mean…maybe all will make “sense” soon and I can stop hating Tsutsutori for not giving a crap that everyone was dead in the last episode. Because no one is dead and this is all made up. Made up why though? We see the not so dead Shinichiro holding up some blood and the twins acting crazy. Maybe none of this is real. Like NONE OF IT. That Saya is somehow manifesting these monsters and she is killing off Ugly parts of herself and no one is really how Saya sees them. That she is the weird girl in class with no friends. That her dad is abusive and all she wants is the nice guy running the café to protect her.

Clearly I am making up all these theories so maybe part of one can be right and I can go AHA. But no matter what I think Shinichiro deserved a better death than that. By the looks of next week Itsuki might be spared from dying (in this cycle or whatever it is) but if he were to die I think he might just be run over by a bus driven by an Ugly. Like it will happen so fast and Saya will care more about the bus being dirty than a dead Itsuki.

Oh I am walking to school today even though my class is dead. I love having my morning coffee even though it is filled with blood. I wave to Itsuki as he walks this way. Oh no he got hit by a bus. Guess he will be late to school. I see a cute little duck I wonder where his momma is. Can’t wait to eat my lunch today because Fumito made it for me. LALALA!
