Best secret keeper ever!
Episode Summary: Gino, Akane, and Shinya are called to the fountains as the worker finally figured out they were looking at a dead body and not some art piece. Shinya and Gino are looking at the crime scene and realizing it looks very familiar. Gino immediately says that Shinya is off the case and Akane has to open her mouth saying that this case is like the one Shinya was covering 3 years ago. Eyebrows are raised and Shinya walks away. Gino says that since Akane knows so much her job for this case is to watch over Shinya and makes sure he doesn't do anything stupid. Gino gathers up all his people and they go over the new case. Shusei is like um hello this is just like the case three years ago why aren't we using Shinya? Gino says that Shinya has stupid theories that will lead them off track and they need to focus on the facts. Later on the facts are presented that the cases are similar and only one person was caught for the crime three years ago (or named) when they knew a second person was involved. Given that the victim was from the same school the suspect worked at and it SEEMS clear that the cases are connected. Shinya is using this time off to punch a doll to death while Akane watches and judges him. Who needs muscles when you got powerful guns. Shinya says since the gun is powerful the person using it should be more powerful. He slides in a comment that he doesn't want to see the day when Akane is the one who has to use the Dominator on someone else. Akane and her slick self questions about the past case and how Shinya lost his friend. Shinya describes his friend and how his body was found. Shinya became obsessed with making the killer's body look like his friends and that is why he became an Enforcer. Akane notices he knows a lot about the past case and how it could be connected to the new one. She warns Shinya is not allowed to help but he smiles and says he will get around that.

Oh...who is the toy again?
Elsewhere Rikako is visiting her sick father in the hospital. Shougo is seen with an older gentleman and the condition of Rikako's father is explained as well as her reasons for the murders. Rikako's father used to be an artist who did morbid pieces of art with dead girls as the subject. He did so to show society dark things and to hopefully keep them from doing so. But when Sybil was introduced to the world people's emotions were monitored and kept in check by machines and medicines. Rikako's father got his wish but without any stress in his life he basically lost his reason to live in his life. This condition happens often to people who taken meds to manage their stress and eventually die. The man talking to Shougo says the very thing meant to protect people is killing them. Shougo says that is probably the reason why Rikako is killing people, as her dad has now died twice (mentally and physically) and his life's work was left incomplete. Rikako confirms that she is driving ms crazy as she had sex with the little obsessed girl....and now she is dead in bed. Rikako takes the body to a certain area of the school where she meets with a man who has the chemical to make the bodies all plastic like. They make small talk about old men providing the young with weapons to change society. At school the smart girl from last week tries talking to Mika about how all the girls from their school are ending up statues and now their friend is missing. Mika is like um don't care. She sends the smart girl to Rikako as she was friends with all the missing girls. The smart girl goes to question Rikako but is kidnapped and taken to the cut up high school girls part of the school. Rikako smiles and says that the girl will become art soon. THE END!

HMMM folks. HMMM. This episode makes me fear every single human out there. We are capable of such creepy and cruel things, excluding making this anime. XD A lesson for all.

Go home, I must protect your innocent eyes Shinya.
So um first was Gino, Shinya, and Akane spent about 12 hours staring at a dead body. Okay maybe it wasn't that long but it felt that way to me. XD I understand that it is their job but that is pretty dang gross. Maybe it was like a train wreck and you couldn't pull your eyes away from it. Like look how awful this is LOOK MORE! I am surprised that more people weren't around the area. If we are trying to keep people all happy and such in this society perhaps concealing this stuff is super important.

Gino dismissing Shinya from this case would have been nice had he done it for his benefit. He might and hidden it really, really well. It would have made sense though. Shinya fell from grace with this type of crime and Gino might be concerned any more involvement would make Shinya up for elimination. It didn't come across that way though. More like Shinya is jumping to conclusions and he will lead us on the wrong path type of attitude. It is hard understanding what Gino means as you can't look into his eyes. Cut your hair!
Photobucket
I don't think you can see much of anything with all that hair in the way.
And then it turns out 5 seconds later that the two crimes are probably related. I mean wouldn't you want them to be related? I know I don't want two different sets of people out there hacking people up and turning them into “art”. Still Shinya wasn't brought in on the case and I think that is rather dumb. Since Shinya is an Enforcer and basically property can't they force him to take medicine to keep things under control? Or at the very least let him do computer research?

It doesn't really matter because Shinya is already planning on rescuing everyone when things go wrong. I thought it was kinda...funny how Shinya told Akane that they were going to get involved. No worries, they will need us. Or at least need me. Because I am important. Just sitting and waiting.
Photobucket
Akane is a little think there buddy. You might need to spell it out even more for her.
Shinya was rather calm in this episode. I thought he would be angrier at the fact that Akane knew about him. I don't know if I would calling it snooping since Akane is basically a cop and was looking into past crimes. Well that is how she can justify it. She was sorta learning up on him. She probably has no interest in other past crimes but still. She can justify it. I wouldn't have blamed Shinya had he gotten upset though, with Akane bringing up sad issues and why he was no longer an Enforcer.
Photobucket
See? Sounds normal to me.
I guess that is what makes the system sad. Because when Shinya was talking to Akane he was normal. The entire series he has seemed normal. Even when he was bashing in the robot sparing partner. Just one moment of anger and one can be flagged forever. Can you really blame someone for thinking about murdering someone who murdered their friend? Of course I think Shinya would have actually done it. But at this point he hasn't so it is sad to see this basically good person being punished for thinking something most people would consider to be normal. Thinking about revenge is different than taking it out.
Photobucket
Look at me, I'm a real person.
I don't know, I just like Shinya the best out of everyone. Maybe it is a little creepy how he is handling his lot in life. We don't know the circumstances behind everyone else's becoming an Enforcer but his was pretty bad. Like a cop being sent to jail to serve time for doing his job JIGSAW! But he calmly talked about his friend who died and how he admired him. How the cases were connected. How he wanted revenge. Just very, very calm. This entire world seems pretty weird and Shinya seems real. Is that what I mean to say?
Photobucket
Thanks for all that explanation Shougo.
So while the Enforcers and Inspectors are running around trying to figure out how the cases are connected Shougo is talking to some random guy about the crimes Rikako is committing. Really who was this old guy? Why was Shougo talking to him? Why am I devoting a whole paragraph to him? MOVING ON!
Photobucket
I think that your paintings had the opposite effect on your daughter.
Shougo was talking to the old man about the reasoning behind Rikako's crimes. Oh yes folks there are reasons. Pretty crazy reasons but reasons. Rikako is trying to get back at society for causing her dad to die twice. I mean....lets be real her father's works were pretty gross too. At least he didn't use real bodies. Maybe it is like saying you have to remember the past or you will be doomed to repeat it. If people see awful things and reflect on them you won't do it. But then Rikako's father had his wish granted, people's crazy emotions were controlled. Only the way it happened caused him to lose meaning in his life and he died too.
Photobucket
The nurse was just a bit too cheerful.
I think I have said about 43849 times that this world is pretty messed up. But this new disease is pretty awful too. I am not sure how much of the disease is actually possible but it makes sense. Stress is not usually a positive thing but I can see how it is necessary. So in this world that takes away choices and stress might actually lead to an early death. Almost like humans are becoming beautiful little robots. It may be safer but it doesn't sound like this is bringing much happiness. Just a bunch of meh and creating new problems.
Photobucket
I am sure your dad would....turn you into the authorities crazy person!
Not that this excuses Rikako's insanity. I mean she is trying to justify it and Shougo was explaining it but it is insanity at best and something horrible horrible horrible at worse. Is that enough horribles for you? Her father wanted society to changed and it did...but in a way that made her father basically a living zombie. Plus it sounds like she wanted to created creepy things too. So her dead sculptures are a big EFF YOU to a society full of people walking unaware of the high cost of their “happiness”.
Photobucket
Thanks for caring.
Obsessed girl died and is set to be the new sculpture. Did Rikako kill her before or after the sex? X__X Either way Mika is NOT the next victim. What is up with that? :( I guess I just assumed she was going to be picked as she likes Rikako too. But the smart girl from the last episode has been picked! Why did she go to Rikako? If she is worried about people disappearing and doesn't like Rikako to begin with why go to her? Mika is also pretty cold hearted. For no reason too. So I am bummed that she is not the next victim if there has to be one.

While watching this episode I started to wonder how long this new system has been in placed. Because Rikako is in high school and remembers the times before the system, that her father created these special paintings to save society. We know the system has to be at least 3 years old as that is when Shinya got flagged. Probably more than 3 years. So I am going to say probably around 10 years? Maybe a little more. I thought it had been around a lot longer though, given how most people seem to be accepting of it. But now that I know most people have experienced life before the change I wonder why there aren't more problems. Unless they all know that problems get taken out and are keeping their mouths shut. Just wondering how this system was created and why people accepted it.
Photobucket
My what creepy paintings you have here.
The episode ends with the team finding a new body and Rikako getting ready to make a two for one statue? Will the team find her in time to save the next victim? I doubt it. Shinya will have more reasons to go after Shougo now won't he?

I think Kougai come to term w/ Sybil and just accept his position, like he already given-up against the system.

That guy Mikishima was talking was in charge w/ the pharmacy co. and remember Ms. Ladykiller need a chemical for her "art"? See the connection?

Anonymous- I hope that we actually get to see Sybil. That it will turn out a human being is running the system instead of a flawless computer program. Which would also be scary but still. I want to see a Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain type scene. XD

Shougo is rounding up all the crazies and giving them weapons. Cue the fun times for him.
