Pandora Hearts Episodes 6 and 7 Summary and Review

Sometimes it is good to be a little bit of a slacker and let the episodes pile up. You can blog the episodes together and save a bit of wordness. You can write about arcs so things make more sense. And you can save yourself some torture in case on episode leaves off with a x_X moment.

Excuses. I have them. But at least they all make sense. And I find that blogging arcs together more enjoyable at times. It answers questions faster and makes everything flow better. It also makes me posts make more sense.

So yay for me and posting Pandora Hearts on Pandora Hearts day. Clearly I deserve a cookie. So sit back and enjoy my little post on the craziness that is this series. Beware of excessive cute chibi Gilbert though. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

No thanks, I prefer cookies.

TOO MUCH CUTE!

Episode 6 starts off with Break informing Oz that things look good for him as the seal hasn’t begun to move on him yet. Oz decides to be optimistic about his situation and not dwell on the sadness. Sharon sips her tea quietly as Raven and Alice try to kill each other. Oz states that he wants to go and investigate his coming of age ceremony site since that is where the pocket watch was/memory number one. Everyone exchanges glances at his suggest. There is a slight flashback of Oz thinking back to how his father hated him and how Gilbert tried to reassure him that was not the case. He wakes up when they reach the mansion and he is shocked about how tore up it looks. Raven appears and tells Oz that he and other Pandora members are going to check things out and for him to wait where it is safe. He also reminds Oz not to think about that dead flower girl person as it was not his fault. Alice wakes up and for some reason she and Oz start talking about Gilbert (or how Alice jokes about him being hurt and all). Oz muses that he thinks that Alice and Oz would get along great since they can’t remember their past. Oz goes into telling how Gilbert was found in their garden hurt and no memories at all. His Uncle told Oz that Gilbert would be his servant from now on. Oz did a great deal of teasing towards Gilberts he proves that he wants to take care of Gilbert and that they should be friends as well. There are some fun scenes that Oz describes as…getting along (but it is really it was Gilbert abuse). Oz just wishes he could go back to the good days.

Photobucket

MMMM the good old days.

As Raven is investigating the building all his men start attacking weird and attack him. He is forced to shoot them and the robed person from episode one appears (the one who controlled Gilbert and made him stab Oz). She taunts him into remembering how he stabbed Oz those years ago (SHOCKER! Raven is Gilbert) and introduces Gilbert to her Chain. She goes on and on about the past and how 10 years have passed and blah blah. Meanwhile Oz and Alice heard the gunshots and came running. Oz overhears all of this and is GASP shocked to learn Raven is Gilbert. Oz thinks back to Gilbert telling Oz that even though there is darkness in both of them Oz can ALWAYS believe in him. He swears his oath to Oz and it is all sparkly. Oz is all X_X I have been gone for 10 years?! The robed person tells Raven (who is tied up and controlled by her Chain) to attack Oz. The reason for this is unclear but she does reveal that Oz is the key to controlling the Will of the Abyss. So Raven throws Oz around the room for a little bit and Oz doesn’t fight back. He thinks back to all the promises Gilbert made and how he tried to show him the light. Oz puts Raven’s gun to his chest and tells him to end it all if that is what he wants! Cliff hanger….for 5 seconds!

We will have to wait...2 minutes to find out the conclusion of this!

Episode 7 starts off with the last few moments of the previous episode. Oz puts the gun to himself and tells Raven to shoot. Raven is shocked at his words and thinks back to the promises he made as a kid. The gun goes off and the robed person is shot in the arm. Her Chain is sucked through the floor and she is not pleased. The robed person cackles and says even though things turned out slightly different things will still go according to her plan and she disappears. Raven gets all mad at Oz for taking that risk and Oz smiles, saying he knew that Raven would stop if he was really Gilbert. Raven scoffs, saying he is no longer the Gilbert he knew but now a member of an opposing family. Raven sulks off and Oz brushes aside Alice who was trying to comfort him. He is convince that Raven is still Gilbert and will talk to him about it. He runs after Raven leaving Alice alone in the broken down building. Raven is at the grave that he and Oz fell into 10 years ago thinking about his life and his lies. Oz comes up and demands to help Raven with his wounds. Oz talks about the day they fell into this grave and how it seems like only yesterday for Oz. Oz then gets up and starts talking about how Raven is still Gilbert to him, no matter if he is older or belongs to a family that is in a blood feud with his own. Raven is touched and pledges himself to Oz once again.

That was a long scarf...

A voice is taunting Alice in the building, saying that she will always be alone. Then this crazy stuffed animal rabbit starts floating around and threatening Alice and acting insane. Oz comes back to get Alice and she is not pleased to see him. But he still manages to convince Alice to come see the grave with him. As they walk she is caught up in the flowers and how they call to her. Suddenly all three of them are caught up in a memory of Alice’s. She is wearing a fancy dress and carrying that insane bunny plushie around. She runs up to a man that Oz recognizes from her dreams (as the one who told Oz to help Alice out). Instead of helping this time he goes out of his way of disguising who he is. He says that the Will of the Abyss is now watching them and the memory starts to fall apart. They end up in something like the Abyss and Alice is chained to a chair. The bunny plushie flies around and screams at Oz to be with her for a little while. Oz refuses to leave Alice and that pisses it off slightly. The plushie goes on to say that Alice should have never existed and crap like that. When Oz states he still wants to be with Alice the plushie goes insane and tries to eat him. Raven shoots it in the head but that just shrinks it down a little bit. It says that one day he will regret that decision and those three leave the Abyss and end up…outside Sharon’s house. Sharon smiles and says that everything is going to plan. Elsewhere a different version of Alice is waiting in the doll room for Oz and looks a little bit insane about it. The end!

Much too cute!

See! It was good that Pandora Hearts was late being subbed last week/my inability to do anything on time. These two episodes went together perfectly. That and I do not think I could have waited to see if Oz got shot or not. So yay for me!

Photobucket

Shortest cliffhanger ever!

So…..slightly confused. But probably due to the fact that I don’t listen or pay attention as close as I should. But I really thought that Oz knew about the 10 year difference. I thought when Sharon and the others told Oz that he shouldn’t be around his family anymore he was told the time difference. X_X Maybe that was just me putting in the small details for it to make more sense. In any event…Oz is slow.

Photobucket

Them are fighting words!

But at least he found out NOW that Raven is Gilbert. Of course it was totally obvious and everyone was screaming at Oz to stop being so special but it could have been worse. It could have been the last episode before Oz found out the truth. That really would have had me rolling my eyes and …well just rolling my eyes.

Photobucket

Everyone in anime has darkness in their hearts, true facts.

And in reality it hasn’t been that long that Raven was hiding the truth from Oz. Or it hasn’t seemed that long. 3 episodes top and they have only gone two places. So I will be generous and say a month at most. It’s not like SOME animes where the best friend is lying for months and months (looking at you Shugo Chara). So….it was a little dramatic how Oz found out but yay for the truth!

Photobucket

Curse the truth being found out so soon!

The best part of the episodes of course were the SD moments. I think the part where Oz was thinking back to the good old days where he and Gilbert ran through the woods and told bed time stories at slumber parties. Or really….when Oz tied Gilbert to a tree and spun him around. Or put him in a barrel and tossed him over a water fall. I think we all should be grateful that Raven didn’t grow up seeking vengeance that looks justified. XD

Photobucket

Best friends forever!

Photobucket

I can see why Gilbert has stuck around Oz all this time....

We learned a TINY bit more about this Abyss stuff. But not much. They are slowly leaking those details aren’t they? I guess the robed people needed to make an appearance so we don’t forget about them. Said robed person was too busy tearing apart Raven and taunting him about the past to give us any details. She does mention something about the Will of the Abyss and how beating Oz up will help gain this power. Yeah, thanks for all the information.

Photobucket

I wonder if that was in their plans....

Next we have Raven telling Oz that he belongs to a certain family now. Raven’s new family and Oz’s family are apparently involved in a blood feud. Only we are given no details of said blood feud or why this is important. IT JUST IS! Deal with it.

Photobucket

GASP! We must duel now!

Then we have a random stuffed animal flying around bothering Alice. It is cute until it’s eyes grow REALLY big and tries to eat people’s faces. And apparently it is the Will of the Abyss. The Will of the Abyss can run around in the real world. DUH!

Photobucket

Such a mean bunny too!

Next Alice walks into her dream and it is revealed that Alice might have been human at one point. At the very least this old house was where she used to live. We see that blond guy again and once again it makes no sense on why is aware of everyone’s presence or why he is such a big deal. I think that he is somehow related to Oz (his father) but whatever. A cute young Alice was nice to see.

Photobucket

Okay, maybe not that much younger...but alive?

And last our group was dragged into the Abyss. Now..I thought there were rules about how one gets thrown into the Abyss but BAM there they are. Or at least something that looks like the Abyss. Alice gets tortured for a little bit, the Will of the Abyss implies that Oz is important to him/it, and another Alice is somewhere waiting for Oz. All is crystal clear.

Photobucket

Of course. Duh.

Yes that is all very special. In the end it will all make sense but for now they are just a bunch of random facts threatening to explode my brain. But in a good way and not in a violent and messy way. My carpet is ruined enough without blood stains.

Photobucket

NO MORE ANGER!

I will try to hold back my yaoi girl tendencies and not pair up Gilbert and Oz. Even though Gilbert has pledge his undying loyalty to Oz. Or how Oz goes on and on about how important that Gilbert is to him. Or how Oz runs off to help Raven and leaves Alice behind. Nope, not going to mention that at all.

Photobucket

IT SPARKLES!

Sharon annoys me greatly. I hate how she is calmly sipping her tea and acting like she knows what is going on. Well, I am sure she does but she doesn’t have to be so cocky about it. She is cocky about it in an annoying innocent girl way and that is what makes me RARW. Be gone Sharon be gone!

Photobucket

Oz is too confused to care about Sharon.

So in all I am happy with postponing watching Pandora Hearts last week and watching two episodes together. Things made more sense and I didn’t have to wait long to find out Oz’s fate. Still not sure where this show is going but the journey is interesting enough for me. XD

Photobucket

Hurry and explain this all...
