07-Ghost Episode 6 Summary and Review

Well Pandora Hearts you are special. You decide to get subbed on a Wednesday. Wednesday is clearly 07-Ghost day! So take your late self to the back of the line and wait your turn. At this rate Eden of the East might pass you too. That is what you get for missing your scheduled Tenchi day.

With that said…yeah, today is Thursday isn’t it? So much for my own Tenchi schedule. :( I had the episode watched and most of the post ready…and then I randomly went on the internet and searched some things and ranted and raved about the stupidity of America’s Next Top Model. Time flew away from me!

So sorry?

So yeah, I am late. I have a special relationship with time and schedules. And by special I mean we are mortal enemies. But meh…it is only a day late and really Pandora Hearts only has itself to blame. XD Enough with the silliness…ONTO THE SILLINESS!

Episode 6 and Teito is STILL IN CHAINS?!

Ayanami and his crew are randomly walking around some important place. Some of Ayanami’s minions are wondering why Ayanami let Mikage go but the one wearing the glasses smirks that Ayanami must have something awesome planned for the boy. Back at the church of hot guys Teito and Mikage are walking around the main…center thingy. The random nuns are explaining that once a year the nuns/priest/random hotties sell their goods to the public. During this time there is a big baptismal that takes place and all seems interesting. Mikage is concerned that Teito isn’t rainbows and LOLcats about all of this. Teito is just worried that Mikage is going to leave him one day and is hiding stuff from him. Before the moment can get too mushy Frau interrupts the love birds and invites them to see other booths. Labrador has made candy out of flower and apparently taste like rainbows. Castor made some clothes for his creepy dolls but apparently doesn’t want real people wearing his creations. Frau invites the boys to his booth and gives them something really tasty to eat. Teito is surprised as he didn’t think they were allowed to eat meat at the church of good looking men. Cue a nun walking up and showing the boys what exactly they were eating (which is really gross).

But I'll still go to you for advice.

Mikage and Teito run away and almost puke their guts out. Mikage smiles and says that it is still fun here despite getting food poisoned. Teito wants to know what Mikage has planned for the future and Mikage seems to think the army will take him back without Teito. Ayanami and his manly man crew are told to go on a mission to stop rebellion or something. Ayanami is briefly questioned about what is going on with Teito and he implies that all is going according to plan. The baptismal is underway and Frau is running late. Teito stops him before he enters the sanctuary and asks Frau for help. Teito is worried for Mikage’s future and goes on and on about things that will probably make Frau jealous. Teito asks Frau to take care of Mikage once he leaves. Frau agrees but thinks that Mikage isn’t the kind of person to allow someone to protect him. Ayanami and his gang are flying around again and talking about past “fun” missions. They talk about Ayanami and his AWESOME SECRET PLAN!

Mikage is outside thinking about some secret he is hiding when a carriage runs up to the church and splats all over the side of it. Mikage looks for survivors and is SHOCKED to see his sister…who doesn’t look like his sister at all. The sister explains that she barely escaped from Ayanami and nearly passes out. Mikage sees a Kor mark on her chest and goes X_X? The sister goes into some sob story about how her life is horrible and blah blah. He picks her up and runs off to get the priests to heal his sister. They are in the middle of baptizing people but sense something is going outside. Ayanami smiles and can’t wait to see this all play out. Before Mikage can get help his sister transforms with her crazy wings and she looks like she is in a trance. There is some random running around and a bit of things thrown around. Eventually Mikage and his sister end up in a basement of some sorts. Castor’s nuns try to spy on the situation but they are taken out. Mikage is panicking and doesn’t want to attack his sister. Teito appears from nowhere to protect his SPECIAL FRIEND! The sister boo hoos again about her situation in life and somehow gets a hold of her brother. She wants to kill Teito but might end up killing Mikage instead. Teito tries attacking but keeps getting push to the ground. Then the Eye of Mikhael emerges from Teito’s hand and he is a magical stick of colors. Ayanami smirks and looks like he was expecting that. But before Teito does anything Frau flies out of nowhere and takes out the Kor. Ayanami is not pleased and is like WTF is that? Mikage greets Teito warmly when he wakes up and it is kisses and a bit of worried faces. Frau, Castor, and Labrador watch the scene and worry for Teito’s future. THE END!

WTF is going on?!

Well, this wasn’t the most amazing episode so far. It was kinda boring and not much happened. But since I am biased and I love this series I will make excuses for it. Excuses like not every episode can be action packed and fantastic! Sometimes the plot has to slow down a little bit and some fun times to happen. See, my excuses are sound and aren’t completely out there.

Look at Teito and all will be forgotten!

Besides Mikage and Teito are cute together. So maybe the slow pace episode is necessary so we can see Mikage and Teito acting like “friends” and establish their relationship. I mean, as cute as it is with them confessing that they are BEST FRIENDS all the time, I rather see them act like friends. And yes they protect each other on the battle field and that is all nice and cute. But I want to see them acting like real friends having fun and kicking back, you know when things aren’t trying to kill them.

It IS cute!

So yay for cute and random festival scene. Because churches have to fund the hiding of fugitives after all. Castor’s little…tent was special and I am not sure why he makes those dolls other than to spy on people. Labrador’s was typical but still cute. Frau’s was not so cute. I was actually expecting some version of porn but feeding the boys ugly frogs was special too. It made Teito and Mikage bond over puking their guts out. XD

Then there was the quiet moment when Teito worries about Mikage leaving him. Which is special since Teito is planning on leaving Mikage at the church. Mikage once again states that he will always be by Teito’s side and not to worry. This time it comes off more believable even though I don’t buy his story for ten seconds. They did not just let him go. But it was still nice, the lies and such. Or at least the feelings behind them.

Can't handle the cuteness!

The good times were not to last for long. Another Kor arrives and attacks the church. This time the person who made the contract with a demon is Mikage’s sister. And the only reason we know she is Mikage’s sister is because he said so. She looks nothing like the flashback/photo/integration scene portrayed her to be and yet Mikage recognizes her instantly. I find it funny as hair styles often do tell people apart in anime.

But moving on, yeah I guess Ayanami isn’t using Mikage’s sister to make Mikage to his bidding. Well, he is using her but not as blackmail or anything like that. Nopers, Mikage’s sister misses her brother and the pain in her heart is enough to make her an enemy/useful to Ayanami. It makes me wonder how Ayanami is able to turn people into Kor’s as I thought they were going to be a third entity in this show. Like Kingdom verses Kingdom verses Kors. Unless Ayanami is just that special he can be a double enemy.

Plans. Ayanami has them.

Teito decided to glow all pretty colors this episode and The Eye of Mikhael emerged from his hand. Not that we got to see what this special little orb can do as it just sat there and glowed a little bit. Both Mikage and his sister went X_X and were momentarily curious but it was just sparkly this week. Frau came and whooshed the Kor out of Mikage’s sister and Teito collapsed from the sparkles. Epic power fail.

Pretty yet not effective.

But Frau is always watching over Teito isn’t he? Enough so that my yaoi girl powers are tingling with joy! But more than Frau coming to the rescue I like Teito coming to Frau for help. Because despite the fact that Teito says he hates Frau and doesn’t trust the guy he goes to HIM to make sure his special friend is protected in the end. Of course in my special mind I imagine Frau getting jealous but in the end protecting Mikage because protecting his loved one’s love is more important that being loved is always fun in any fan fiction. But back to things that actually happen, I found this scene really cute and full of MOGness.

I am sexy thus I win.

Labrador’s place in the show is to say cryptic things that the audience can probably figure out on their own. Because Teito’s life has changed since he has arrived at the church TRUE FACTS! Since he is not involved in my little yaoi love triangle he is expendable. Just sit on the side lines and perhaps help Frau win Teito over. XD

Labrador should inform us of how much of an uke Teito is. Really, someone might not know.

So even though my summary is long, nothing much really happened. They are just setting the scene with all this Ayanami is awesome and has been lurking on the dark side and can we really trust Mikage stuff. And in case the viewers didn’t know Mikage and Teito are bestest best friends FOREVER. And Frau really likes taking care of Teito. I hope in the next episode they either kick the sister to the curb or really explain what is going on. But just don’t send Teito away from the church of hot men!
