07-Ghost Episode 2: Attack of the bishounen part two!

The day has finally come! Well, actually that day was yesterday but taking a long nap won out over blogging. Forgive me 07-Ghost! The blankets were so nice and inviting! Next week I promise to put you and your mass amounts of hottie first.

It's raining men!

After a crazy day at work it is nice to come home and blog about something fun and interesting. XD So thank you 07-Ghost for being a good anime. Please keep up this interesting plot line and manageable pace.

I try to stay away from spoilers most of the time...but I am weak too. But nothing TOO earth shattering happened this episode so you should be safe. MMM rambles.

Three men are traveling around a desert like area in their hovercrafts. Suddenly Teito and his hovercraft fall on one of the men. The man manages to catch Teito who is unconscious now. Ayanami reports to the Headmaster he has people looking for Teito and the Headmaster seems relieved. These soldiers find the broken down hovercraft but are worried Teito might be hiding in THAT place, the place they are unable to enter. The three men gather around the sleeping Teito but the blond hair man grows impatient and decides to wake him up. Teito responds with a kick to the face and a crazy leap off the balcony. The blond hair man saves Teito from being smushed upon the ground but Teito isn’t very grateful. The glasses wearing man explains to Teito that they are at a church, the Barsburg Church, and it is their job to help everyone out. The glasses wearing man introduces himself as Castor. The purple hair chibi is named Labrador and the blond with the short fuse is named Frau. Teito refuses to give his name and isn’t happy they know he was a slave. But he does reveal his hatred towards the Empire which pacifies Frau. The men leave him for the night and tell him he is free to come and go as he pleases.

Frau is a gentle soul indeed.

Teito walks out of the room later, asking Mikage what he should do. He passes out and has visions of his sad past. He wakes up with three Sisters surrounding him and AWWWING over him. They kidnap him and torture him with new clothes and weird medicine. When Teito questions their motives they repeat that this is a church and they are to help anyone no matter what. Teito dons his new clothes in the morning (even though he is wearing his chains still…) and wanders around the church. He feels as if he has been to this place before as he watches people come in to visit and worship. Teito sits under a tree thinking about his sad past again when a young woman runs by with a sick child. The child has been afflicted with the Verloren’s Curse and only this church can remove such a thing. Apparently when you make a pact with the Kor death gods you get three wishes in exchange for your soul. Teito looks on in interest as the child is returned to the public healed. Teito goes to the library to find a certain book but is scared by a doll nun. He falls off a ladder but is saved once again by Frau. Teito is unimpressed with the rescue and Castor shows up to explain his created nun doll thing. When Frau sees the title of the book Teito found Frau runs off with the scared Teito. Turns out that Frau hides his porn in certain books and the War book Teito picked was one of them. Teito is not amused.

This does not please us.

Later Castor and Frau sit Teito down and ask what he wanted to learn. Teito is interested in the war that took place 10 years ago. Castor talks about how there two Kingdoms and both were blessed by certain stones. Teito learns that he is from the kingdom that started the war as they sought both the stones. Or at least that is what the history books say about the war. Teito decides to be hostile and that he will find the truth out for himself. There is some dramatic running around and Teito asking internal questions in his mind. He runs into some massive statues and one of the Sisters from earlier explains its purpose. 1000 years ago the god of death Verloren escaped to Earth and caused chaos and sad faces. God sent down seven “lights” to seal the big bad baddie away. She takes him to the inner church and he sees the three hotties taking part in some important robe wearing ceremony. Teito is touched by it all and thinks AGAIN of the past. Teito goes outside and sees Labrador….growing roses? Labrador smiles at Teito and gives him a flower. The scene is sparkly. Frau and Castor watch with interest as apparently Labrador doesn’t usually give away flowers. Plus this flower is important as it is the flower of protection and it might be an omen Teito is in danger. Elsewhere Mikage has been taken into custody and is being integrated by Ayanami. He seems bent on making Mikage confess he aided Teito’s escape but Mikage stands there and says nothing even when his family is threaten. The end!

Another happy week with tons of cute guys to stare at. XD Blogging anime is much more enjoyable when you really look forward to seeing a new episode.

We can all pretend this is a sexy hug. XD

I thought I was going to lose my little yaoi pairing with Mikage and Teito separated. But now I have a brand new pairing to imagine and make stuff up about. XD Now I have to pick if I am on team Teikage or Frato…..I need to work on my shipping names don’t I?

Can't you feel the love!?

Frau and Teito are getting along so splendidly. And by splendidly I mean they hate each other’s guts and the stare downs are already adding up. That means that they are destined to fall in love after they get done pretending to hate each other. Poor Mikage will get the friend and only friend relationship (if he lives at all). I am sorry Mikage. Out of the gate I was all for you and Teito…but Frau and Teito are much more interesting.

On to things that actually happened in the show. Out of the three “clergymen” I do find Frau the most interesting. Labrador comes in a distant second with his flower making and giving away abilities. Pulling up the rear is Castor who will get the big brother role and watch over Teito and make sure everyone plays nice and don’t look at porn. I am not quite sure if I really believe that all these men are clergymen but I suppose I have seen worse (Sayuki anyone?).

The battle for Teito's love is on!

In my silly and often WRONG mind I believe that these three men are actually part of the 7 lights that came to battle the big bad baddie. Or at least they should be! XD It would make more sense due to their special abilities and weird personalities. It would also explain why they are able to heal that Verloren’s Curse. So that is my theory and I am sticking to it.

With Frau being the main...light thingy.

It is a shame that Teito is stuck in a church with no pointy objects though. They can heal curses and preach to the masses but cutting off chains is way too hard for these people. XD I didn’t mind the insanity of that though. It was quite fun to watch poor Teito walk around in chains still. And get dressed with the chains on. And try to kill himself by flying out a window with chains on. :) Blogger is very amused.

Even though this series is based on the church and God it doesn’t seem very religious. Heck they didn’t even say God! Instead of angels coming to get rid of the big bad baddie they are called lights. And they don’t appear to be very attractive lights of awesomeness (of course, unless the hottie trio are said lights). So I am glad that the religious overtones are not…overwhelming. That means more people will watch the show and enjoy it as much as I do. XD

But the church is very sparkly.

The only thing that bothered me about this episode was the number of flashbacks. I understand that Teito has a sad past and he is struggling to remember what went down. But I think it would have been more effective to have just one…or maybe even TWO flashbacks. Three is pushing it into the pathetic Yuuki/Vampire Knight zone and that is a zone I don’t want the show to be in. So Teito, I understand you want to know about who you are and what went down. Just….don’t annoy me with all these grey flashbacks. Even though you were a cute little kid.

I am sure when all is said and done it will be revealed that Teito’s father wasn’t trying to steal both the shiny stones and that Ayanami is actually trying to wake up that demon monster curse thing. It will take every single episode to get to that point but that is fine. And it is also fine if they surprise me and do something completely different. XD I just find the storyline to be interesting.

Teito is busy thinking of theories too.

After Teito tried to put on a show to keep Mikage out of danger…Mikage found himself in danger. :( Poor little Teito is going to worry and be right to worry. Ayanami didn’t do much in this episode so I can’t hate on him too hard. But if he does end up turning Mikage against Teito it will be on. BRING IT!

Teito is being hit on by other men?!

So...I am really happy with this episode. XD The art is wonderful and Teito is too cute for words. The yaoi fangirl in me is very pleased with this offering. But I am sure that there are other things about 07-Ghost to love. So don't be afraid to love the show with me!
