Clairvoyants make more than 7 bucks an hour

Dear irate customer

I am sorry that it took you 90 minutes to realize your food was not at your house. I am also sorry that I did not answer the phone when you called inquiring about your food. I assure you I would have been more amusing and "snippy" as you called the young person who did answer your call.

Yes our restaurant does deliver. We do need a few key pieces of information before we can connect you and your pizza of choice. The most important piece would be....your address. That is what separates a pick-up order from a delivery. I can see how you might want to blame the person who initially took your order for not asking "Will this be pick-up or delivery". That was a mistake on her part. However....you knew that you wanted the food to be delivered. Couldn't YOU take the initiative to I don't know....give us your location? We are not working for Ms. Cleo and your address is not in the cards.

I am glad that you started to tell our manager how this was OUR fault. Because you are a regular and we KNOW you ALWAYS have your food delivered. You know how everyone in the store works every single day and memorizes every single "regular". By the way, I have been working here over 3 months and have not heard of you or your address. What a magical kind of regular you are.

You then claimed that your information was entered into our computer and when you called we automatically knew your address and how you like to have your food delivered. Yes our invisible computer tells us all that. Thank you for telling us how our business runs and how we should be able to read minds and or the computer that does not exist.

Some things to look for next time when you place an order you SPECIAL regular customer:

If the person on the phone quotes 15 minutes on your food, that is not a delivery. Unless you are calling from the future where teleporters actually exist.

If we do not ask how you will be paying, it is not a delivery. We have to tell our guy to either bring change with them or we ask you your credit card number. If your credit card remains in your wallet the entire phone call, you did not order it delivered.

If the person on the phone says "See you here in 15 to 20 minutes" it is not a delivery. This might be self explanatory...but you know..

If the person on the phone says " You know we are located on XXXX and XXX?" it is not a delivery. We are actually telling you WHERE WE ARE!!!

These are just a few things to look for when you call the next time. And I do look forward to your next call and how you will complain about your wait next time. I do enjoy being admonished for something that is entirely not my fault.

Love

Sylvia Browne
