New Fall Weekly Anime Nov. 1st-7th

FINALLY! It has been a very hectic week and I didn't get to blog hardly at all!!! On top of that, my anime watching really got cut down and I ended up watching 4 episodes today, taking all the screenies, and blogging most of the shows! x_X It feels like it took all of Sunday to post this one blog!

That and photobucket was trying to kill me. Thanks to my friend Janet photobucket has been spared my wrath. I am at least very grateful that the spoiler code was not trying to kill me tonight. Next week should go much smoother and I have more time to watch episodes Monday and Tuesday. I am very grateful for most of the busyness last week however. :P Christmas can get a wee bit expensive.

Sorry about the mini excuses!!! :P I will try to be in much better spirits next week! Blogging is fun, just I get carried away with other things. Oh and again Kuroshitsuji is a little bit behind. The plan next week is to get completely caught up. Of course that is always my plan....ANYWAY Please enjoy my reviews. :)

Kannagi Episode 9

Photobucket
The greatest secret keeper ever!

Surprisingly this episode picked up where the other one left off. Tsugumi, Akiba, Shino, and Tatako are all discussing the Nagi and Daitetsu fight. It is finally concluded that Daitetsu is actually Jin’s dominate and Nagi is upset that her brother is in this kind of relationship. Tsugumi has lived under a rock most of her life and does not understand dom and sub. Thankfully Akiba has brought a backpack full of doujinshi and soon everyone is educated…and scared. Takako actually likes this idea of them being a couple, but Tsugumi has decided she needs to confront Jin about this. Of course, she accidentally announces to the whole school that she thinks Jin is a homosexual…and the Nagi website soon publishes this information. Jin wants to kill himself and Daitetsu acts weird and supports the story. A classmate takes Tsugumi to see Zange to ask for help. Zange’s grand master plan is for one of them to pretend to be Jin’s girlfriend. Tsugumi is not thrilled with this idea and heads to his house….only to stare at him naked. Nagi and Zange soon show up and want to discuss Jin’s penis. Tsugumi breaks out the photo album and they all get to see his little penis. Jin apologizes to Tsugumi for being such a pain in junior high and Tsugumi apologizes for telling the whole school he was a homosexual. Zange brings up her grand master plan, but Nagi says that Jin doesn’t have to pick. She thinks that both girls can just flirt with Jin and everyone will believe them. So the next day at school the girls take turns feeding Jin (while being competitive about it). Daitetsu looks on sadly and people think he is hurt by this betrayal and even Akiba acts weird. In the end the plan back fires and now Jin is labeled a heartless man who will do any and everyone.

Photobucket
Plans involving Jin often end wonderfully.

This is one of the best nonsense comedies that I have seen in a while. Yes the humor is crude…but it’s funny. Also don’t forget I am a hypocrite and it is okay for there to be exploited yaoi, but not boobs and panty shots. Sometimes even better than yaoi is the mistaken yaoi.

Photobucket
READ MORE YAOI!

The funniest part of the entire episode was Daitetsu receiving a love letter. He was observant enough to know something was up with Nagi and Jin, but not observant enough to notice everyone at the school is staring at him. He is just so focused on Nagi’s aura being off the whispers and the poor you looks go unnoticed. However…... Mr. letter dude was pretty fine. Considering some of the fatties and the cows that are roaming around the school, Daitetsu should feel so lucky that he got a letter from such a handsome man (even if this man is trying to be a relationship wrecker). I don’t know why he acted so shocked; I am sure he would have been on top. :)

Photobucket
That is yaoi I could get behind!

One thing I did not like about this episode was the whole homophobia thing. I am sure it was meant to be funny, but at some parts it was a little insulting. Just because you are gay doesn’t mean that you like every single man you see. It is completely natural to be a homosexual and they should not be feared. Of course, I am might just be in the minority on that issue (considering the asshats who voted yes to amendment two…) and I might be overreacting on this issue. It was probably meant to be funny as most things are taken way out of proportion in this show.

Photobucket
She is only interested in heterosexual penises.

I love how Akiba had an entire library of doujinshi in his backpack. I wonder where he keeps all his books. I was even more amused when he was carrying around some yaoi titles too. That just goes to show you to be a true otaku you must understand all the different genres. And you only read them for the art style, not that fact that two people are getting it on. And look how quickly Tsugumi went to the “dark side”. Truly it is addicting.

Photobucket
The conversation is lovely!

I felt the entire episode was just one big laugh with one second of seriousness. It would have been a little more convincing had there been a flashback of what Jin put Nagi through in junior high instead of all the childhood moments but eh….What do you expect from a show that has three girls trying to discuss Jin’s penis at length. Mmm that was a lame, lame joke. Seriously though, I love how some girls act all offend by things boys do and there they are discussing a penis. :) Let’s all act like hypocrites now.

Photobucket
They need to know how big it is!

Photobucket
They apparently are shocked it got bigger!

The storyline about Zange taking over a young girl’s body was not discussed nor was Nagi’s split personality. Neither one of them did anything to further they status as an idol. Yet this is all okay with me and maybe that is the point. This show is suppose to be so unbelievably funny we aren’t suppose to notice that the main issues are not being covered. They are doing a great job of delaying the serious moments (if there are any). There is always next week isn’t there?

Photobucket
And the plot thickens!

To Aru Majutsu no Index Episode 9

Photobucket
The cockier you are, the more you plan fails.

Touma and Stiyl march back into the cram school and apparently….are not stopped by creepy students. They make it to the room where Izzard is cackling with Aisa and a sleeping Index. Instead of revealing his plan much later and after it seems he has won, Izzard tells Touma his plan right off the bat. Well actually Stiyl sorta makes Izzard explain his plan..but whatever. It turns out that three years ago Izzard was Index’s little friend and he was devastated when she forgot him. He decided to go on the run from the church and find a way to save Index. His plan is to make Index a vampire, thus she won’t die if her memories are not erased. Stiyl decides that laughing at the crazy man would be a good idea. It wasn’t. Stiyl also decides that it is a good idea to tell Izzard that Touma was the one who was able to save Index and Izzard has been wasting his time and won’t get any of the glory. Another bad move. Izzard tries to kill them, but Aisa gets in the way and says this is not what she signed up for. Izzard does not hesitate and kills her too, as that will actually fulfill his promise to get rid of her powers. There is a brief flashback of Aisa attracting vampires and accidentally killing them. Then Touma uses his power to undo the spell. Izzard sorta gets pissy at Touma and tries a variety of things to destroy him. Touma deflects all attacks with his special hand and Stiyl decides to explain why Touma is so special. Stiyl’s reward is to be skinned alive. Izzard then cuts off Touma’s hand so he cannot longer defend himself. Touma then loses his mind and starts acting like a crazy person. He starts ranting and raving more than usual and Izzard begins to think that his powers aren’t working anymore. Touma screams that he knows the truth about Izzard’s powers and that is really isn’t all that powerful. Stiyl appears holding Index just in time for Touma’s stub to turn into a dragon and attack Izzard. Touma, despite being the most unfortunate guy on the face of the planet, gets his arm reattached. Stiyl shows up to not feed Touma food and to let him know that Izzard has lost all his memories and will not be killed. Index shows up with Aisa and lets Touma know that the church (Index) has decided to take care of Aisa too.

Photobucket
Touma's life is WONDERFUL!

REJOICE MY READERS!!! Aisa is alive…for now. I thought she was going to live, but there were some iffy moments…such as when Izzard told Aisa to die. That was sorta an iffy moment. But besides that, I sensed she was going to live. Anime shows like to make characters so loveable that you cry when they die. Aisa hasn’t been around long enough to evoke tears so she must LIVE…for now. Let’s pray for her safety throughout this series.

Photobucket
Quickest death ever...

I was confused about a conflicting issue. It has been established now that Izzard was Index’s partner 3 years ago. Now Stiyl is saying he was her (Index’s) partner 2 years ago and now it is Touma’s turn. However, Stiyl and Kaori say that they spent all this time with Index and it was painful EVERY time she lost her memories….so how is that possible? Is this a subbing mistake or simply a writer flaw? Because truly…this is a lot of drama for a kid people can only spend A YEAR with anyway. Ignoring that little outburst, it does strike me a little odd with this inconsistent back story.

Photobucket
Quick, destroy the inconsistencies!

Something else that seemed out of place or not explained well was…Stiyl losing all his skin and being fine a few minutes later. I understand that Touma really lost his arm and was trying to fool Izzard into thinking his powers were no longer working. However, Touma’s arm was on the floor; it did not magically get reattached to his stump. I did not see Touma touch Stiyl or his skin. So…why was he in one piece at the end of the show? If Izzard had doubted his powers, shouldn’t Touma have gotten his hand back? It just seemed a little bit TOO magical that Stiyl was okay at the end of the show…but Aisa is alive WOOT!

Photobucket
Delicious!

I think that Izzard’s idea was more than flawed. No one is really thinking about Index when they make decisions for her. Who would want to be a vampire on purpose anyway (besides stupid Yuki)? It appears that once people know Index, they change and become creepy stalker people that want to control her. Even Touma, who has forgotten his whole 2 weeks with Index is very attached to her. I would say these partners have the real issues and not Index. She needs to pick better people to take care of her.

Photobucket
Someone can't handle the truth!

The funniest moment of the show is when Index decides the walking church has to take care of Aisa. There is no reason for Touma to be asked; it’s not like it is his house or anything. :P Touma was going to say yes anyway, he had too! ASIA IS CUTE!!! It hasn’t crossed into harem territory yet as neither girl is overly interested in Touma and rather use him instead.

Photobucket
Touma collects all the little homeless freaks.

I feel a little bit bad for Stiyl having to run from Index still. It must be hard watching a guy he finds unworthy be “the winner”. Of course, his injury did not require major surgery so he can gloat about that I guess. I just hope those two men can work things out. It is entertaining to watch them go out at, but I want to get a sense that they would have each other’s back if it came down to it.

Photobucket
I would be mad too if he was the hero...

Yozakura Quartet Episode 9

Photobucket
Truly everyone is suffering!

So the whole town has gone CRAZY. The elders are mad at Hime, everyone who came in contact with the slime monsters are losing control of their powers, and Kyosuke is hating on Akina. Clearly there is chaos in the streets. Touka is one of the first youkai to lose control of her powers. Kyosuke is worried for her, but she seems to think a bent up serving spoon is a small, insignificant matter. The elders bitch out Hime for a while for not taking out Enjin when she had the chance. Hime is too pissed to talk to Akina when she passes him in the hall. The towns nurse is busy…checking the Nana-gou’s heart rate when it comes to her attention that people are acting funny. Midway to the hospital, Touka accidentally almost takes out a car and passes out. One of the old dudes walks on by and explains that if the Nana-gou blooms, the youkai who are on Earth will suffer and the ones who have been tuned will return. The hospital is very busy checking out all the youkai who came in contact with the slime monsters and Kyosuke decides it would be awesome to wish that Enjin would die…with poor Ao listening. Useless Rin goes and sees Akina who is conflicted on what to do. Ao goes to see Hime, but Hime’s training scares her (since we all know what happened to Silver…).

Photobucket

Akina goes to see Touka in the hospital, but Kyosuke is being an asshole and saying this is all Akina’s fault. This leads to Touka accidentally almost destroying the room and Ao once again overhearing that people want her brother dead. Then there is the most awesomest flashback ever. Back when Enjin had his own body, the village/town was JUST being created and he was a little against it. He was tunned..but apparently it did not stick. Now he seeks REVENGE! Kotoha and Akina have a little bonding moment/useless scene that is basically about how Kotoha will “lose” if either side loses as she is a Hanyou. Ao is having a flashback herself of the day Gin got possessed by Enjin. Gin begged for Akina to tune him…but he couldn’t do it. Ao and Akina try to discuss the situation. Ao is too upset and is even leaning on the side of Akina should not hold out hope for Gin anymore. Yuhi is walking around saying that gods are not allowed to interfere with the trivial matters of their lesser people…Anywho, the elders have decided to go with the awesomest plan in the WORLD to save the town: to cut down the trees that protect said town.

Photobucket
Because trees have heart beats!

This episode was sorta all over the place. There wasn’t a real theme or plot going on unless you count the let’s make everyone miserable flu bug going on. It was more of a let’s tie a bunch of loose ends even though there is plenty of time on the clock.

Hime was Hime. I was going to start off by saying she was a bitch….but she really wasn’t. She likes to fly off the handle without knowing the whole situation. She really should not have blamed Akina like she did. She is really being unfair to him to not ask his side of the story (that and it is not a really big deal…at all). So she decides that since she was so weak (or unable to kill Gin/Enjin) she overdoes it again on the training. She fails to see that if she works herself to death, her training is useless. But Hime is just Hime after all.

Photobucket
She was still kinda rude though...

I was also prepared to write about how poor Akina and how this episode was a massive pick on him day. But it really turned into poor Ao and see how many times we can make her cry day. How many people can be so heartless? Enjin is in Gins’ body or does everyone just magically forget that fact? Couldn’t they pretend to be a little more torn about this dilemma and not jump on the let’s just kill Enjin train. Of course Ao was mighty special this episode with lurking around every partially opened door… She wins the wrong place, wrong time award.

Photobucket
The walls have eyes!

Photobucket
Everyone is so considerate.

I thought the “everyone is losing control of their powers” deal was mighty special. Again it just shows how their definition of youkai is different than everyone else’s is in the entire world. I am not sure what the real purpose of this town is if youkai are not free to be themselves. All these power bracelets and not using powers in public…just sounds like a whole bunch of rules…and like the outside “scary world”. Besides that point, Touka hasn’t shown any powers at all and suddenly she has super strength too? But apparently she is not as cool as Kyosuke. So….demons are just born and are unable to control their powers? So they are hunted by humans and suck at life? The fairness is overwhelming.

Photobucket
This is serious business.

We are told since like…day one the Nana-gou is massively important and really the only thing keeping the town in check. There was an entire elaborate ceremony honoring the flowerless trees. So what do the elders decide to do? Cut down those pesky trees. Because of course, that makes A LOT of sense. Huge sense! I mean, if youkai’s powers are going crazy after the Nana-gou is slightly injured, the best thing to do is cut the whole thing down! The elders should probably just stick to bingo or something.

Photobucket
Possibly the worst plan ever.

Oh and I have not forgotten you Rin. You suck. All your scenes are useless and you have no purpose in the show except to piss me off. NO ONE NEEDS YOU! Thanks.

Photobucket
Just go die please!

Kotoha had a useless scene too, but she is a more likeable character. Her whole little drama about how she lives both sides on the fence and either way she will lose….was a little melodramatic. What I got from the conversation was Kotoha wasn’t really around 2 years ago….So apparently they just give important jobs to all the new people in town! Thanks for clearing that up Kotoha and I would watch your back around Rin (she wants your job!)
Photobucket
She is still rather lovable!

Tales of the Abyss Episode 10

Photobucket
What do you mean cutting my hair means nothing?!

So after Luke cut off his hair and his massive amounts of arrogance, he and Tear go to speak to Tear’s grandfather. Tear’s grandfather really does not care that Luke killed thousands of people because it was written in the score. Both Luke and Tear are like x_X so…following the score is more important than saving your fellow man. Tear finally gets it through her head Mohs is up to no good. Or evil for the greater good of some time after this huge war, there will be prosperity in the land. Luke wants to change that and Tear’s grandfather is like good luck trying crazy people. Tear and Luke reflect on the new information they have just received. Tear tells Luke that the island of Hod was actually her and Van’s homeland and he is a little pissed it got destroyed. Apparently it was written in the score that it would be whipped off the face of the planet and no one really tried to stop it. Van has either decided to get revenge or just be a giant crazy person. Luke praises Tear for being so strong and she nearly dies from his thank yous. So Luke and Tear ride the magical fountain up to the surface and SURPRISE Guy is waiting for his happy little Prince. Guy isn’t busting Luke’s chops about you know…destroying a whole city and he is equal as surprised with the small changes in Luke. Before the trio can even move ten feet, Jade comes from the shadows to reveal…Ion has been kidnapped (and assface Natalia too). Mohs has decided to start this war by kidnapping those two and convincing Natalia’s homeland she is dead. Jade was a little bit of a jerk and Anise is a big jerk, but this group little group manages to trick their way into the Oracle Knight..place and only have to kill ONE knight before they find Ion and Assface. Oh, and they overheard gun girl and Mohs talking about catching up with Van to do their evil, EVIL plan. The crew hops back on the Tartarus and decide to go to Malkuth instead to ask THAT king for help. And oh yeah, who the hell knows where Asch is.

This episode was made of very, very specialness. So much special I almost passed out from the overwhelming x_X factor. Thankfully Eddy’s Peppermint ice cream wired me up enough so I didn’t pass out from blah.

Photobucket
And it's just you Anise....

Perhaps the first issue I had with this episode…where was Asch? I mean, we are supposed to by that Ion just went SKIPPIN to the headquarters of his enemy and Natalia was…apparently skippin with him…but where was Asch? And where is he now? And how is he getting there without any transportation? So…did Jade report back that Ion got kidnapped again and Asch decided to go on his merry way? Is he still chasing after that old dude from last episode? HELLO?! Is this making sense to anyone else?!

Photobucket
Apparently he is too busy being a giant floating head.

Why the HELL would Ion go and see Mohs? Weren’t you hiding from him like…in the first/second episode because you thought he was up to no good? Didn’t you still voice your opinions and concerns with his crazy self? Why would you chance him using this tragedy to his advantage? Why did everyone else think this was a good idea? Why wasn’t there a plan B if (when) Ion and Princess Assface got kidnapped? This episode should have been named Plotholes are better than Replicas.

Photobucket
And Jade just went along with it...

Seriously, I hope Natalia dies now. She was SO rude to Luke and then she LIES to him. She was so hoping it was Asch (guess she is wondering where he ended up too) and her poker face needs some major work. As a princess, she should be better at masking her emotions. But no, she is too busy passing judgment on other people. She sucks and…she sucks. She wasn’t even worth kidnapping, Ion is way more awesome to kidnap and hold hostage. Natalia would make good fertilizer.

Photobucket
YOU BIG FAT LIAR!!

Photobucket
Liars go to hell!! :P

In the midst of all this plot holeness, Ion was not discussed. Because the writers are doing an awesome job hiding Ion’s little sad faces. I hope I am not wrong about who Ion is (because eating crow is not very tasty) but part of me does. :( I want Ion to LIVE! With all this fon technology, there must be a way to save our little Ion. Or at the very least, make it easier for him to travel. All this magic and everyone is still running away from the enemies? I hope that Ion doesn’t have a change of personality…and cuts his hair too.

Photobucket
Quick, make him run more so he can DIE!

There were just too many stupid moments in this show for it to enjoy…any good ones. I am all up for dramatic reunions, but….after 3 days? I am probably being generous with the amount of time, but it was just all MOG Guy I missed you forever and all that jazz. The fact that only a handful of soldiers confronted them…while they were in the Oracle Knights building made no sense. And I love how Tear can just attack these people so easily seeing how they are her people (despite Moh’s being evil, his minions are not to blame). And the whole running out of the place without getting caught…running through town…it just was too much…REALLY moments.

Photobucket
But the mascot looks for the positive things!

Perhaps all of the above problems really stem from the fact the show is either not doing a good job portraying the game or they are not trying to incorporate enough original material. They are just copying the storyline way too literally. It is not translating well with the “mini fights” and time frames. I don’t think it will get better with time. So I guess it will be an alright anime. Unless there is a massive improvement, I don’t see this show getting a WOW or awesome from me.

Photobucket
Guy is still being a good friend!

Photobucket
Slowly Luke is growing up.

Shugo Chara Doki 60

Photobucket
Apparently Rima is the new important best friend...

Amu’s family is watching a fortune telling show on TV and Amu has to pretend that she isn’t excited about how she has a great fortune for today. Amu has decided to bring the Chara house to school since Ami is a weird little freak. She is then reminded that today was predicted to be the perfect day to make a confession…but to WHO?! Today’s theme is fortune telling as one of Amu’s classmates is really into fortune telling. Both Amu and Rima get theirs told and Amu is once again told to make a confession. Koyomi of course runs into Lulu and Lulu wants her fortune told. Even though the fortune is correct, Lulu decides to plant doubts in her mind about her skills. The next day at school Koyomi does a reading for her friend who thinks she should make a confession too. A few of the students also question if fortune telling is real or just a lucky guess, causing Koyomi to further doubt herself. Amu is still thinking about if she should confess to Tadase or not when she witnesses the classmate who got her fortune read confess to Tadase first! Koyomi witnesses this turn down (cause you know how Tadase likes someone else) and runs off upset. Amu runs after her. Koyomi has transformed into bad luck girl and is causing havoc in the streets! I mean, things are really bad with people getting sprayed with water and paint and random cats stealing wallets. Amu fixes all the mess and tells Koyomi that she can’t fault herself for being wrong some of the times. Koyomi goes back to normal and the other schoolmate shows up. She is apparently fine she got turned down as there are other hot guys out there. Everything ends with rainbows and happy dances.

This episode was made of special, but still had some good parts. It isn’t so bad once I remind myself of the stupid goldfish children.

Photobucket
0_0 and she is 4?!

The most special part of this episode was the “bad fortune” that Koyomi was causing. Seriously, this is geared towards kids. I get it. But come one….cats are randomly stealing wallets now? That is the worst fortune ever? Even though I am a bit gorier, I would have preferred someone getting fired or something else equally as bad. Being sprayed with a hose=not really serious. Then again, this is not a serious show….bleh.

Photobucket
I know that would ruin the rest of my life.

Even if this episode was a filler Amu was cute in it. It once again showed how it was hard to shake that persona people have placed on her. I love how her fortune mentions it and her classmates are still clueless. The love triangle/who is she going to confess to wasn’t as interesting to me. Perhaps that is because Ikuto is clearly the better candidate and Tadase is just a rude little joke. Also, I am a believer if you can’t decide between two people apparently you don’t love either of them. Of course I can forgive her since she is you know…12.

Photobucket
Hide your inner joy!

I thought this friend of the week transformation was the cutest/best so far. I mean, how much lower can you go than a crazy sky dancer and some heart/toilet seat boy? That and the transformation still made SENSE to me.

Photobucket
Cutest one yet!

The friend of the week herself however was not very..interesting? Well, perhaps I mean to say her reasons for being upset did not make sense. People have always been skeptical of fortunes and things like that. She shouldn’t have taken it so personal that people doubted her. She was more upset with the girl getting turned down than the actual girl. And Lulu turned her egg with last season’s reasoning. I thought this season was all about being confused about your path and last season was thinking you could not do it. Perhaps the writers realized how limited their options were with that enemy arch and had to go back to their old ways. In any event, the reasons these kids are starting to doubt themselves are getting lame to me.

Photobucket
All these passionate kids in 6th grade.

Photobucket
Such special weekly friends.

Be careful that you don’t blink this week or you will miss Nagihiko. Seriously why would you bring back a character and do NOTHING with them? He didn’t even get a whole episode dedicated to his return! He/she was a main character in the first season and now he has fewer scenes than Ikuto. Ikuto is lovely and all, but he is still one of those characters that just show up sometimes. Nagihiko should have more going on than 2 lines!!! Also, when are we going to get into the heart of the reason why Nagihiko is back?! Clearly he has a little indemnity crisis/self worth issue going on. That and he is still lying to Amu. HELLO WRITERS! Don’t leave Nagihiko hanging to add in more fillers!!!! Please give the core characters the attention they deserve! Done pissing me off people….

Photobucket
QUICK! Don't blink!

Lulu really isn’t that much of a villain. I know that all of the enemies ended up being good and nonthreatening in the end, but at least in the beginning they were slightly…evil. Lulu is just a big joke. Her intentions are stupid, there is no explanation on how she made this jewel, and she has no connection to anyone else in the show. That really could be the main problem as she is just THERE! And I SWEAR I thought it was kids from Amu’s school talking about the new transfer student…but I am too lazy to go back and check.

Photobucket
Lulu is just amazingly...boring.

Overall this episode was just okay (if you don’t think about how some things don’t make sense). I am happy Tadase didn’t get confessed to by Amu as Ikuto is 583958 better anyway and he does not deserve it. I hope that the rest of the guardians get more screen time as Amu can’t do everything alone and it defeats the real purpose of the show. Next week’s episode (well this week since I am behind) looks so SUPER CUTE and I see some Dia so I will probably enjoy it no matter what!

Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 9

Photobucket
Don't joke about that!!!

Zero has decided that he hates Yuki because she is a vampire and she is nothing but a beast. She responds by telling him that is exactly what she is and that the old Yuki is dead now. She then runs out all upset. Aido runs after her to give her a pair of uncomfortable shoes to run away with. It is clear that the old Yuki is not gone as evident in the way she responds to Aido. Ichiru has gone back to Shiki’s room with the huge coffin in it. Kaname comes by and orders him to open it…even though Ichiru was going to anyway. Kaname also says some junk about how one twin will end up taking the life force of the other and Ichiru adds his own interesting comments about how Vampire Hunters would eat vampires. Elsewhere Zero is still reliving the worst life ever and is suffering. Yagari has returned after FOREVER (even though it only felt like…2 episodes) and the hunter association has told him to watch over Zero..again. Like that mission has changed or anything. Before the headmaster could cut him up with his sword, Zero appears and begs them to kill him. They decide to lock him up somewhere so he can stop feeling bad for himself. After the coffin is open, Kaname could not bring himself to kill Uncle Meanie/Rido. Ichijo has returned with the unconscious body of Shiki and tries to ask Kaname why he did not kill Rido/slice up his body. It is then flashback time of mommy Kuran telling daddy Kuran she was going to kill herself to save Yuki. Daddy Kuran disposes of Rido’s minions of meanness, but he is killed himself. Kaname comes outside to see the tail end of the battle. Kaname had a chance to kill Rido, but he was either stopped by Rido’s power or because he was afraid too. Back in the present day, Kaname has given Rido’s real body blood so he can wake him up. Ichijo finally says what everyone is thinking; that no one understands what the hell Kaname wants! Elsewhere Ichijo’s grandfather and that long hair dude from the hunter’s association are talking about how Rido will get rid of the Kaname’s and that the senate will be unstoppable now. The episode ends with everyone unhappy and miserable.

Photobucket
Aido is the best part of the show...

Again….poor, poor Zero. I am glad he is not delusion and realizes that his life is one big suck fest (LAUGH AT MY LAME JOKES!). It would be harder to watch if he was trying to convince himself he was alright. I am not sure why he didn’t pull the trigger on himself as most people would have done in his situation. I think he does have some misplaced anger issues as it is not Yuki’s fault that she is a vampire. I suspect Mr. Headmaster does so blame him instead. All and all, it sucks hard to be Zero.

Photobucket
I would be crying in the corner too.

I was about to get very pissed at Yuki for the sudden attitude change, but she reverted back to her annoying self. Yes, that is massively hypocritical, GO ME! I just don’t understand why she didn’t try talking to Zero and saying she didn’t want any of this. She feels as if she can take away his pain if she is an asshat…well let her. She is always whining about being the cause of Zero’s pain and she never does anything to fix it. Nothing she does at this point will make Zero feel better so stay the hell away from him.

Photobucket
She is still a bitch.

Aido was so nice in this episode! I enjoyed the cute moment out of the entire serious nature of this show. He is eating crow now that he feels compelled to call Yuki Yuki-sama. He brings her unreasonable shoes to run around in the news. He fears Kaname’s wrath in a cute way. I think that this all should spare him a gruesome death!

Photobucket
The one silly moment in the entire show...

I have to praise Ichijo for finally calling out Kaname. It is about time someone said HEY I give up, I have no idea what you are thinking. Because you know…if I had my enemy’s body right in front of me, you be damn sure I would slice it all up. If Kaname is physically unable to do damage to Rido’s body, than he could have explained the situation to his many followers and they would have gladly hacked him up. The only reason I can see that Kaname left Rido’s body alone is to protect Shiki and get his body back one day. Other than that, Kaname is being overdramatically emo and causing a lot of problems just so he can play the martyr in the end.

Photobucket
AND SOMEONE FINALLY SAYS IT!

I really find this whole Senate verses the Kuran plot pretty unbelievable and out of control. That or it is not being explained well enough. I fail to see after years of having a king and queen. Then the people who ARE the king and queen give it up and the next ruling power is still worried might take over. Yet they send the king and queen’s brother to dispose of them. Just all too out there for me. That and it is inconsistent. We have all these other vampires worshipping the ground Kaname walks on and a few old people getting bent out of shape about their position in society. I find the political nature of this show hard to grasp due to its lack of screen time, yet its important hold on the show. If something is going to be that important, give it more of a back story and a greater understanding to its viewers.

Photobucket
Or we all can just be evil and mysterious for the heck of it.

So, if I am to believe in my usually wrong assumptions, Uncle Meanie wants Yuki so she is no longer a threat to the Senate…and he wants her blood? It sounds like it would have been easier to get rid of Kaname, then destroy Yuki before she was awaken. I am not sure why anything happens anymore in this show and I am sure it will all make sense at the very last second. I will still be pissed off though. I have no problem with “complicated” plots, but only when things add up in the end and things progressively make sense. This series is one big wtf is going on and why do I care again?

Photobucket
Well, baby Kaname was cute..

So once again, it was another typical Vampire Knights episode. Nothing too amazing and I am not seeing why this series is beyond popular. Emo vampires= high ratings. I just hope Yuki cuts her hair soon, she looked better with shorter hair.

Clannad After Story Episode 10

Such a happy little Tomoya!

The episode starts off with robot man and the girl finishing up their little flying machine. It has gotten a little cold outside and the girl collapses. Elsewhere Sanae and Akio congratulate Tomoya on his graduation and offer him a job at the bakery. Nagisa no longer has such a high fever and will start the new school year soon. Life seems to be going okay for Tomoya as he adjusts to working at the bakery. Things are not going so well for Nagisa as she is not in Tomoyo or Yukine’s class, no one is really reaching out to be her friend, and the theater club shuts down because no one joins. On an errand one day Tomoya runs into Yoshino who is busy working on lights and stuff. Tomoya also runs into Ryou and Kyou who somehow get him motivated to get an apartment and ask Yoshino if he can work with/for him. Tomoya tells Nagisa and her family what he plans to do and they are willing to help him. Akio doesn’t even beat the crap out of him when he asks if Nagisa can move in with him one day. After moving in Tomoya and Nagisa spend a little time alone in his new apartment and there were cute blushy faces all around. Tomoya is all excited to start his new job, but soon he finds out hoe physically exhausting it is and how many small details he has to pay attention to. He returns home and basically collapses in the doorway even though Nagisa is there waiting with dinner.

Slowly the hidden world is making progress.

:( My poor poor Kotomi has left me. Everyone take this time to be sad and remember how much joy she brought to your lives!

So more high school care free days..well not for Tomoya anyway. He wakes up and realizes that it is time to get a job. Akio and Sanae offer him a job, but apparently that is not good enough for Kyou. I was really offended by Kyou’s comments. Not everyone is cut out for college and I find nothing wrong with helping out the family business. He was not freeloading and oh yeah, it was like the day after graduation. I firmly believe in finding yourself and taking a few days/weeks to reflect on that. He doesn’t have parents who could pay for his college anyway, so I find his job at the bakery a perfectly acceptable arrangement. Shame on Kyou for implying he is not doing anything with his life.

Photobucket
You make me sad Kyou!

I still feel as if Tomoya moved out way too soon. Just because you get that high school diploma and are now 18 does not mean you should go out on your own. There is nothing wrong with living at home, paying rent, and learning what you want to do in life. Instead he took a job that is more demanding than he thought it was going to be and he LEFT Nagisa knowing how tough things were for her. I find that a little upsetting and almost like he abandoned her. If I had been Tomoya, I would have stuck around and been there for her. Instead he had a man attack and had to prove he could do things all by himself. Perhaps that is just the way some societies are, that is it okay for girls to stay at home longer than boys. If I ever get a crazy attack and have kids, I would rather they stay at home and not go into debt while figuring out what they want out of life DESPITE their gender.

Photobucket
Perfectly respectable job!

Poor Nagisa. She has had a really hard life when you think about it. She has gone through two batches of friends and now this year no one is lining up to be her friend. The two remaining friends she has at school were not in her class and apparently were too busy to join her drama club. All she ever wanted to do at this school was have the theater club and it failed…again for her. She has nothing to look forward to at school and everyone basically thinks she is a freak. She isn’t feeling 100 percent and on top of that, the one person in her life that is her ROCK…moves out. So now she has to travel out of her way if she wants to spend time with him and will enviably worry about him now that she cannot see him….poor poor Nagisa.

Photobucket
Trying to hide the truth.

Photobucket
:( So sad.

I truly hope that Yoshino takes care of Tomoya. I think he should have tried a little harder to explain how demanding that job is or slowly work him into the job. I am sure I would have been terrified if I was just told to climb up a pole with no training. I guess Yoshino belongs to the school of thought where you throw the baby bird from the nest and hope he doesn’t smash his heads on the rock. :( I miss funny Yoshino.

Photobucket
Men are so casual....

Photobucket
I would be nervous too!

Fuko was mentioned in this episode! I almost had forgotten about her and thought that the writers had too. Although it might be a while until she actually comes back if other bloggers are right (and they probably are seeing how they played the video game). I was hoping Fuko would come back sooner so Nagisa could have another friend in school and that would tie up all the good times in the series before the serious stuff started to happen. Don’t give up Fuko! One day you will return!

Photobucket
She lives on in our memories right?!

I have really enjoyed the romance factor in this episode. It was almost like Nagisa and Tomoya’s relationship took a back seat for a while. I like to see the progression of their relationship and hopefully there will come a time when there are no more blushing faces and things just become natural (even if the blushing faces are cute to watch). Tomoya got an AWWW out of me when he looked back on that young family with a child in tow. :) He is already thinking of marriage and starting a family. Often neglected kids are quick to start families of their own so they can have some love in their lives. However, I think Tomoya genuinely loves her and maybe is trying to prove his worth as a man so he can take care of her. So….while I don’t like kids..it is cute for Tomoya to want kids and have a nice little family life. Simple dreams are often the best ones.

Photobucket
Dear Lord Tomoya, stop being so likable!

Photobucket
:O Hoping for the future.

So while some people think this was not the most exciting episode ever…I think it was necessary. It is still a slice of life series and sometimes “boring, everyday events” do happen. It was necessary to put all the pieces in place for the series to move on. Let’s just hope next episode Tomoya regains some of his strength to support Nagisa in her trying time with school.

Even he is growing up...by not killing Tomoya.

Angry child is less annoying!

Maria is worried that Kyoko won’t be able to complete this challenge and that it is unfair seeing how she is a newbie. Mr President thinks this is fair since new actors/actresses have to take an acting test to get into the program anyway. Maria has a little flashback that explains her back story. She was a neglected little kid with two famous parents and she wanted her mom to fly home to spend her birthday with her. Well the plane crashed and all of her mother’s fans and coworkers said things like if only Maria hadn’t asked her to come home and blah blah. But to the director’s face they told Mr Director/Maria they did not blame her. Even Maria’s father was a little bit cruel about this event. That is why Maria does not trust adults, as they lie. She sees Kyoko as someone who tells the blatant truth even if it hurts and that is why she roots for Kyoko. Meanwhile Kyoko is reading the script and feeling a little bit nervous. Moko is wondering if she can pull it off and she sees Kyoko making a DOLL in the middle of the floor. While going up to the acting “stage” a few of the students tell Kyoko is bought her way into LME and it must be nice to have parents who pay her way. Insert Demon Kyoko here. Two acting students played the part of “loving” the child who lost the parent and Kyoko played the part of the sister who now BLAMED the sister. Kyoko starts off by reading her lines, but with a “mean” intent. She then forces the child to switch lines, meaning that the child was originally suppose to say all this crap why the dad didn’t like her and the older sister would say loving things to prove her wrong. Now Kyoko was the one saying the crap and the child would say NO that her father really did love her.

Everyone is very impressed with Kyoko’s ability to change the scene without even changing the words. Maria gets caught up in the script as it touches on her own life. Maria then jumps in and starts telling Kyoko she is WRONG, that her father does love her. Kyoko stays in character and tells her that all the reasons she lists are wrong. Maria then discovers (as would the child in the script) that Kyoko was forcing the child to find out the truth for themselves, as they could not believe the lies from adults. Everyone is impressed (well, except Moko who is upset Kyoko pretty much gambled about the script/role changes). In the end, the students claims Kyoko did not pass her test Maria interfered and now Kyoko and Moko have to pay for their classes. All seem well though as Maria is going to communicate to her father and things are hugs and rainbows.

This anime is so snarky, I love it. I can’t get enough of THE TRUTH and the ‘cruelty” of Kyoko. I guess that shows what kind of person I am that I can relate to Kyoko. I appreciate her straight forward nature and her outlook on things.

Photobucket
Well, and her honest moments too.

Maria was less annoying this episode. I guess that can’t be helped as we were bombarded with her sad little back story. It really is pathetic that some people really could be that cruel to a child, but some fans are crazy enough to blame a 5 year old. People are often very two faced and feel as if the tragic thing happened to them. Because in the long run, they think losing a few pretty pictures of a model is a greater travesty than a child losing her mother forever. I find her father focusing more on work than his child very believable too, as some parents can’t handle losing their spouse and looking at the child they planned to raise together. I don’t know if I could have been as bitter as Maria (as I would have been feeling sorry for myself) but I see why she does not trust adults. Shame on her grandfather for making a script that hits so close to home, lesson or not.

Photobucket
Adults can be so cruel!

Photobucket
They did sorta over do it on the flashbacks though...

Kyoko was once again radiant. Moko might have gotten mad at her plan, but I thought it made perfect sense. Kyoko had little to no time to plan out what she was going to do. The logical thing to do after looking at the script was to change the parts. It made total sense as the mood and tone of a show can be changed with simply who says the lines and the tone in their voices. And to be honest, I didn’t even think she was acting! Kyoko is just brilliant when it comes to those kinds of situation.

Photobucket
HIRE HER RIGHT NOW!

Photobucket
Even when it makes no sense she stays in character!

What I didn’t like about this episode was how Kyoko was to be tested before entering the acting class. First of all, if you are going to pay for classes, why does it matter if you suck or not, your money pays just the same (it makes no matter she was going to get a sponsorship and not have to pay, the same principal still applies). Second, if she really needed to have some sort of audition, shouldn’t her acting with the tea ceremony movie count? She was going to win that if she hadn’t passed out! And third…those busy body actresses should have gotten kicked out for being so rude. -___- where is their love Mr. President?!

Photobucket
But I enjoy Moko being around.

Perhaps this episode was really good in my mind because there was no Ren or Sho in sight. I think it is time for Kyoko to shine and it is hard to see how awesome she is when everyone else is busy falling all over those two ‘stars”. Besides, no one can come close to Kyoko; who else would start making a doll when something so serious is going on!

Photobucket
It is the perfect doll making time!

Next week’s episode does not excite me. I think Kyoko is way too good to be in a chicken suit nor do I want Sho or Ren to have any ammo to tease her. Surly there are better jobs out there for her to take! Of course Kyoko will be the best chicken in the world….I am just disappointed she has to be one.

Hakushaku to Yousei Episode 7

What do you mean I am a bad person?!

Lydia runs off and tells Kelpie that Edgar has been poisoned and that she knows that Kelpie has a way of purifying things. Kelpie isn’t really keen on helping out Edgar as he would have a better chance of winning Lydia over if Edgar was dead and all. But Kelpie says he will give Lydia a cure if she promises to marry him. She says she can’t do that, but will live with him in the fairy world. Kelpie agrees to that and smears a drop of blood on Lydia lips. All she has to do is kiss him and he will be cured. That or she has to kiss him where blood flows. Nico is not really thrilled with this idea, but Lydia says she must help those she can and asks Nico to look after her dad. Lydia goes to see deathbed Edgar and decides to kiss him on his wrists instead. She almost kisses him on the lips when it doesn’t work INSTANTLY, but Edgar opens his eyes and sees her. Edgar had a nightmare that Lydia had left him and asks her to never leave him again. He also asks if she could learn to love him. Lydia said she will think about it…and promptly leaves for the fairy world. Edgar has a lot on his plate, as he has to take care of Paul and he learns that Lydia has left for the fairy world. After bribing Nico, he learns of the trade and sets forth his “let’s lie to everyone” plan. Edgar tells Marigold and Sweetpea he wants to visit the Queen. They inform him that he needs to get the moon ring back. No problem as Edgar magically learns of where the Scarlet Moon headquarters is. The men are pissed he is there and plan on attacking him. Edgar insists he is the real Earl and the sword is proof. Then there is some talk about a Prince whom I really don’t know what that is all about and some angry words are exchanged. Raven defends him Edgar and Paul comes out saying that Edgar is not working with the Prince. Edgar says that he will band together with the Scarlet Moon and get revenge with them on the Prince. Paul then gives him the ring. Elsewhere in the FAIRY WORLD, Kelpie has decided he will provide Lydia with all things she needs..which apparently is a bunch of grass. Then Kelpie decides it is time to make some half horse/half human babies. Lydia’s fist speaks for her. Kelpie has no time to be upset as he hears a noise and runs off to investigate it. It turns out to be Edgar and Nice who have come to rescue Lydia. Lydia doesn’t want to go as she has made a promise to Kelpie and she says that Edgar has made a promise to the Queen if he is here. Edgar and Lydia start talking back and forth and are really not getting anywhere. Edgar wants to marry Lydia, Lydia says he doesn’t love him, and Nico wants them both to shut up. Edgar convinces Lydia that they can just make a temporary promise to each other and get out of this mess. Lydia reluctantly agrees and let’s Edgar put the ring on her. Kelpie shows up and is upset…but says he will wait for Lydia to change her mind. Marigold and Sweetpea aren’t that upset either and just tell Lydia to hurry up and have a little boy. Nico takes Edgar and Lydia back to the human world leaving the fairies empty handed. Edgar is telling Lydia he is happy that Paul is still around so he can enjoy his awful painting. Lydia is none too pleased with that comment or his comments about wanting to tell her father about their “marriage”. So the episode ends with…Lydia being upset with Edgar.

Whatever week I said that this series was looking up…apparently I was high or something. This series is so boring and stupid I do not know why I bother blogging it. At least it is FUN to make fun of Vampire Knights. This series is just…bleh.

Photobucket
The art is kinda lacking on top of everything else.

I feel bad for Kelpie. Sure he made a heavy condition on saving Edgar’s life, but he did not trick Lydia. He does not play mind games with her or lie to her face. He has been honest with his feelings and she leads him on in a sense. Personally would not like to be in a relationship with someone who was “forced” and does not love me, but that is just me. Kelpie told Lydia what he wanted and he kept up his end of the bargain. And while I think his…..human knowledge of comfort is lacking (grass for a bed?!) he was still trying. And no, I am not upset with his come on to Lydia. Well, no does mean NO but…I don’t think he was really that serious. Am I making excuses for him? Probably. But I still think what Lydia did to him was uncalled for. He is okay to use enough when Lydia needs him, but he is quickly discarded when the danger is gone. Shame on her.

Photobucket
Err, I prefer you know..a real bed...

Lydia..is a tease and leads men on. I don’t think she does it on purpose, but it is none the less annoying. If she gave straight forward answers and didn’t give people false hope, she would be much better off. I also don’t like how she keeps telling Edgar he doesn’t love her over and over again. He might be a liar and a bad man who twists his words, but I don’t think that is why she is saying that. She is trying to convince herself he doesn’t so she can deny she likes him too. That is what I have a problem with. She is telling Edgar that he is such a liar when she is no better herself. I much rather her be conflicted because she loves someone she really can’t stand than play games with herself. Also, hurting Kelpie like that was just wrong.

Photobucket
Why does everyone flock to her!

The entire show was stupid. Everything happened too fast and way too perfectly. How the hell did Edgar locate the Scarlet Moon people so fast? And really…the whole 8 people in that room are going after Edgar and they thought they were going to win? They gave up WAY too easily, especially if they were really after proving Edgar was the false Earl. Lydia has always seemed like a stand up person, but she lied up a storm to like everyone in this episode. Way too many parts of the show were talked about and it diluted them as a result. Not very impressed.

Photobucket
Do not question how I found you! Just follow me!

Unless I am blind or just way too out of in when they explained who the Prince was. I gather that Edgar was once kidnapped by the Prince and he was the one who branded him. But who the hell is he and why is he making everyone’s life miserable? We are getting kind of late in the series to not know who the bad guy is. Of course, the writers are being lame and tying this into Raven’s sister still being alive and working for the enemy is a cheap ploy. Just bleh.

Photobucket
We will just give out kitty hugs instead of the truth.

I was planning on watching the other two episodes right in a row (just to get it over with) but I was too bored to do that to myself. Although I must commend the subbers for being so fast on that series. :P the one silver lining in this all…and yet it is wasted on me!
Photobucket
I enjoyed watching the cat be bribed though...
