New Weekly Fall Anime Nov. 10th-16th

Another week, lots more anime. I was really proud of myself for catching up on a few shows! I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to include Skip Beat due to it being on youtube until the very last second. Apparently it is exam time SOMEWHERE and the good subbers seem to be busy. I fear it will get worse once the holidays kick in. I will have to decide to wait for the good subs or suffering through headache inducing ones.

At any event, reviews are suppose to be fun and amusing. :) So if the subbed episodes get pushed back, it won't be the end of the world. :P And only those bloggers who actually know Japanese will be ahead of the gang. I rather have fun blogging than have a race to see who can post first.

Please enjoy my reviews. I was very catty this week with some series and very pleased with others. It amuses me to reread what I wrote. :P Hopefully you will agree with me....or at least think I am amusing with my rantings.

Shugo Chara Doki Episode 57

Photobucket
Are they trying to lull us into a false sense of security?

Ikuto and Yoru are off looking for ikuto’s violin even thought Ikuto says he does not care about it. Elsewhere Amu is getting caught up on the current 6th grader trends which include some little squeaky toy cat. Any other day it would be fine to have this tiny piece of plastic, but not today. Some karate kid from the middle school (same as Kukai’s) is coming by and he hates cute items. CUE THE KARATE KID walking in. He spots the cute toy and has a constipated attack. Amu sticks up for her friends while hoping she doesn’t get beat up. Fast forward to after school and the Guardian girls find a deer keychain on the ground. They were about to turn it in when the Karate Kid comes running up. A chase ensues and has the girls running for their lives. Tadase and Nagihiko are all by their lonesome in the garden waiting for the girls. Kukai comes by and explains to Nagihiko that part of his job as Jack is to cater to Tadase’s needs as he is too giving to others. Kukai accidentally brings up women’s clothing and Nagihiko gets a demon look in his eyes. The girls finally make it to the gardens after nearly being “killed”….and walk in on Tadase wearing a girls uniform and Nagihiko trying to rape Kukai (or undress him..).

After being scarred for life, Amu walks home and runs into the Karate kid. He explains that he loves cute things, but he can’t love them anymore as he has to be a man. Oh and the reason he was chasing her was because the keychain was his. Amu tries to give him encouragement, but he leaves. Ikuto shows up long enough for Yoru to leak that Ikuto lost his violin. CUE THE SCENE WITH EASTER DOING X-EGG THINGS TO HIS VIOLIN! So Karate kid’s grandfather and dad are a little harsh on him and he is upset about leaving behind his special deer keychain. Lulu comes in and he transforms into…something REAL scary. All the Guardians assemble at his dojo, but Karate kid’s attack turns everything cute and leaves the boys wearing dresses. Yaya is a freak and won’t help fight so Rima and Amu have to do it all themselves. After the normal song and dance of just be your true self, Karate kid is healed, Lulu is sad, and all is right in the world. Karate kid now proudly admits he likes cute things and walks around with the deer on his belt loop.

Photobucket
Another FAAABulous episode.

Well well Doki. Having Nagihiko back makes your show more enjoyable. I hope that too many viewers weren’t turned away by the first few ones. Yes the episode could be perceived as slightly fillerish, but Lulu just got to town: let’s give her a few more friend of the week moments before we start demanding more content!

Photobucket
We get a transformation anyway. :)

Despite the friend of the week not really being a friend…he was 10 times more likeable than spider girl and 100 times more interesting that Buzz Lightyear. Despite the entire karate team worshipping him and the big to do about him arriving on campus, he was actually…accurate in my mind? More natural could be a better word. It wasn’t some random rude person off the streets or some crazy little boy who thought the planetarium= garden. His meeting with Amu flowed better and it was nice to see her once again take on the position of cool and spicy while being terrified. Oh and apparently the friend of the week was Yugaku Iwagaki. I only remember them saying his last name, but oh well.

Photobucket
Dear my forehead!

Photobucket
And my would be self!

Although I did enjoy Tadase’s REAL wish being explained better…Kukai serving his “master” was just plain weird. Putting aside that Kukai is having lame reasons to show up at the school when did Kukai ever have to serve Tadase like that? It just seemed like that little fact was pulled out of thin air just so they could explain Tadase’s spoiled Chara Change. I wish they had found a better way of working that into the storyline, but I guess that is expecting too much. Regardless..Kukai serving Tadase so calmly and Nagihiko making a 0_0 face made the scene worth it.

Photobucket
My mind is on constant yaoi.

The crossing dressing moments of the show were also pretty great. I am not quite sure how Nagihiko overpowered 1.5 boys (I am SO mean) or what he planned to do with Kukai once he was naked…but seeing the girls’ reactions was priceless. I am not quite sure what Tadase was trying to cover up with his hands….as he is shorter (or the same height) than Nagihiko and I am sure things would have been more covered in a less weird pose. Or maybe he had to go to the bathroom. :o I also found it funny that being turned “cute” means that they were unable to transform.

Photobucket
I enjoy Tadase suffering. His embarrassment is like sweet nectar.

I just hate Yaya so very much. Her would be self is so selfish (more so now that we know what Tadase’s is). She is always whining. Her attacks are useless most of the times. And now she is not evening transforming with the rest of the group. Why is she in the Guardians again, just because she has a Chara? Next year will be a very, very scary year as she will be the only old member. Just bleh….I am really not a fan of hers and wish she would leave instead of Nagihiko.

Photobucket
Please pay no mind to the BATTLE going on!

Another blogger already commented on the Ouran Host Club aspect to the show. I actually thought 0_o Ouran when I saw karate kid’s face. He looked just like Ritsu Kasanoda (Bossa Nova). And of course he was misunderstood like Kasanoda and was fond of cute things. So while it might be a stretch to compare it to the entire show, I did have that moment of x_X that face is familiar. Also, the freak out moments reminded me of the Ouran gang, but most animes have the generic freak out moments.

Photobucket
Complete with false rumors too. :)

I actually forgot about Lulu during the show. When she popped up after Amu talked to Karate kid, I was like OH crap wtf is he going to get turned in to!!!? I don’t think it is a good sign when viewers forget about the enemy. And I was actually more concerned about the ugly outfit that was going to invade my mind that caring about Lulu. :( She really is not a very good villain. Can Utau be evil again?

Photobucket
Aw, so cute!

The Ikuto moments were a little random, but I like Ikuto. He can be random all he wants as his scenes are more interesting that the friend of the week most of the time. It would be nice if he would show his venerable side to Amu, but he is still acting like a tough guy. I like how EASTER can abstract energy from X-Eggs at their whim…but I will chalk that up to “anything can happen”. I just wish that Nagihiko or Ikuto got their own stories instead of almost being a side dish.

Photobucket
What?! No Ikuto screenies?!

Photobucket
It's the end of the world!

So with two good episodes in a row, the producers decided that we were getting spoiled. What better way to make a boring episode that to have in Ami-centric. Not a huge fan of kids…..real life or otherwise. Ami’s voice makes me want to drive nail into my skull. And I am not looking forward to a preschoolers dream. Bleh…maybe the week after will get us back on track!

Photobucket
Cheer us out Kukai!
To Aru Majutsu No Index Episode 6

Photobucket
Is he ever going to shut up?!

Powered up Index decided that blasting Touma was a good idea. Touma used his hand to stop the attack and went into a 5 minute debate about how Kaori and Stiyl need to man up and find a new way to save Index. Index changes battle plans and nearly blows Touma's hand off. Stiyl and Kaori decide that they are going to actually try to keep Index alive and fight her back. They manage to keep Index occupied enough to allow Touma to touch her and deactivate her magic. Unfortunately Touma is hit with her feather attack and he goes down too. The doctor tells Index about how suspicious it is that a huge light destroys a satellite originated from her, Kaori, and Stiyl's location...yet they know nothing about it. Anyway, Index reads a note from Stiyl to Touma that basically says you suck and I hate you...but you better watch Index for now. The doctor warns her that Touma has lost all his memories. Index walks into his room and tries to get Touma to remember her. Touma genuinely seems confused at first...then starts smiling saying how cute it was she fell for it. Index gets pissed, beats him up, and walks out of the room. The doctor comes in and basically says it was nice of Touma to put on that show for her...as he really has lost all his memories. Touma muses that he just didn't want to see her cry. Elsewhere Stiyl is meeting with the tube person in some underground place. General Superintendent Aleister..or tube person is talking about how the church did want Index back right away, but another situation has arose. Aleister wants Stiyl to find someone called “Deep Blood". The conversation gets a little X_X at times, but the gist of it is if Deep Blood exists, so do vampires and that is BAD! Aleister wants Styil to work with Imagine Breaker aka Touma to hunt down these forces. Then Aleister smiles all evilly.

Photobucket
That is why I do the right thing, so I can be the hero.

This episode left me dizzy from an heartrending roll coaster. x_X It was jam packed with emotional outbursts here and there.

Photobucket
INDEX ABUSE!

The biggest of the turns on the rollercoaster was of course Touma's memory lose. Here is Index repeating the same question over and over again which signifies to me she is really upset about this situation. She is trying to keep the tears at bay and to be strong for Touma. Then Touma smiles and says JUST KIDDING. I swear I wanted to kill him! How dare he make her worry like that! Index beats him and rightly so! Then we learn it was all an act; he really has lost all his memories and he was trying to protect her. Okay, so now I feel really bad about being a Touma basher. I was hoping against hope that his explanation on why his memories were okay was true...but the writers were just messing with our own heads. DAMN YOU FOR GIVING US A SHRED OF HOPE!

Photobucket
So I will stop...hating you for a day....or two.

There is WAY too much talking going on during battle scenes. Touma is basically getting his fingers torn off (nicely healed by the next scene I might add) and he is running off at the mouth to Stiyl about HAHA I was right and you were wrong. There is a time and a place for everything. Now is not the time for the told you so dance. Even if you DO have to talk while on the battle field, try to stick to important issues at hand. Telling someone to stop being a side character and bask in the lime light of a main character is not important. Get to the point; tell them the church lied so they can help you before you have a stub for a hand. Granted Stiyl had a mighty long letter to Touma about nothing...but I found more humor in that.

Photobucket
Despite his hand breaking into pieces, Touma just keeps on talking.

So...I was massively wrong about the person in the tube. Horribly wrong, beyond off base. Yeah, like I should have known that was a dude. Anywho, at least he is serving the function of a computer so it wasn't like I was beyond off base. But...Index seems to be just Index. She just has some spells that force her into attack mode to protect her body. I tend to over think things.

Photobucket
I'll just stop questioning things now.

So the church lied about Index's ability to use magic and the whole pesky memory erasing procedure. So why is Styil still meeting with someone from the Church? I know the whole keep your enemies closer thing, but it feels as if this show is going to go off and focus on another character for a while and not search for answers to why the Church is doing this to Index. Personally I would be worried that someday I would be next on their hit list but that is just me.

Photobucket
Quick, destroy the list!

So we have an Index who is happy about Touma remembering her and a Touma who really doesn't remember...ANYTHING. We have a Kaori and Styil who know the Church is up to something and a Styil who just received orders from the church. Where does this leave us? Probably with a whole lot of confusion. I am sure one day Touma will remember Index or...it really won't matter as he is happy being with her. I just hope the writers touch on his confusion as the show progresses and that Index finally knows the truth. I can't wait for next week, I DEMAND MORE ANSWERS!

Photobucket
The deadliest pillow fight ever.
Kannagi Episode 6

Photobucket
Surly we shall die.

Tsugumi is happily chillin in her room when Jin calls. He asks her to help him with a shopping issue and she happily says yes, then gets all dolled up. Nagi comes bouncing down the road and Tsugumi realizes she assumed Jin was coming and tries to hide her disappointment. Nagi wants to go shopping and thinks that Jin's 10,000 yen was a gracious amount. It turns out it is not and she proceeds to trash talk him. The girls shop for bras which leads Nagi into a melt down due to her small bust size. Nagi muses she should get a part time job and sees a flyer.....At school, art club president Takako has decided she wants to visit this new maid’s cafe because she likes seeing young girls all dressed up. She invited the entire art club (invite, demands, same difference) and wants Akiba to be their guide into this strange new world. They get to the cafe and to Jin's amazement both Tsugumi and Nagi are both working there. Tsugumi tries to lessen the blow by saying she is just filling in for a friend. Nagi is doing a great job and plays the part really well. Jin starts getting all red and embarrassed. Zange has caught wind of Nagi trying to snag more followers and is not pleased. Later that day Nagi catches up with Jin and explains she was just trying to help out. Jin confesses he was not comfy with her getting all that attention and Nagi happily quits. Meanwhile Zange is pissed that she is now working at the cafe and Nagi is no longer there.

Photobucket
Please pick up fallen hopes, they clutter up the sidewalks.

This episode was pretty good. Yes I am a huge, giant hypocrite, complaining about the stupid perv moments and then LOVING an episode full of them. Besides the bra in the hamper scene, the "perv" moments in the episode were not really....perving as more realistic. I am not wording it well I know...but it was just a different kind of perv/borderline not perv.

Photobucket
This is an accurate depiction of bra shopping.

I am not sure what moment was the funniest in this episode. I thought Nagi realizing that Jin was "cheap" was pretty hilarious (although he did give her like 90 bucks right? Ain't exactly chum change). The girls being liars about their bust size, then being "beaten" by a 13 year old was amusing (and sadly accurate). Overall I think when those two girls are together comedy happens. I hope the laughs continue and that the show never has to be "too serious".

Photobucket
High school is the best time in a young girls life.

Not to be out done was the art club members. We have Daitetsu with hollow eyes and shocked expressions. Akiba was doing his best to rival Yuki from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya with number of words spoken in a minute. We have Takako the closest perv (or Akira wanna be) drooling/nose bleeding over the young girls. Quite frankly the only normal one out of the bunch is Shino and that makes her boring. :P

Photobucket
*demands a butler cafe plot!*

Photobucket
The art moves him.

Jin is such a silly, silly boy. He whines and complains when Nagi is around, but now he is all jealous of the attention she is getting. He tried to be all pervy on her the moment he meet her and ogles her panties, but her wearing a...slightly provocative outfit embarrasses him to no end. He has no idea how much said cute clothes are and confuses Tsugumi into thinking she was going on a date with him. In other words..Jin's suffering is really no different from any normal guy (except his "love interest" use to be a tree...) and yet it is still entertaining to watch.

Photobucket
And they say girls play mind games...

The whole Zange being a body snatcher issue was sorta forgotten this episode. They had Zange being a comic relief character more than a real villain. With only a limited number of episodes left, do they really have time to have fun little fillers like this? Even if the fillers were pretty entertaining and I enjoy laughing at Zange's pain.

Photobucket
MORTAL KOMBAT!

So my hopes for this series is that Nagi gets Zange a body of her own and that somehow Jin can love/worship her enough so she can live her life as a human. I don't want her to end up finding another tree and her spirit lives in it and Jin waters her from time to time. HAPPY ENDING PLEASE!
Yozakura Quartet Episode 6

Photobucket
Bobble head dolls FOR THE WIN!

Ao is shocked to see her brother, but Enjin escapes before she can question him. Ao goes and tells Akina what has happened. Akina advises her to keep this under wraps for now. Enjin isn’t doing too well with Gin’s memories flooding into his mind. He advises Inozuka that he can go play if he wants. Meanwhile Kotoha is telling her school friends how excited she is about her trip to Germany. She is later interrupted at karaoke because Hime is slightly demanding. Despite it being her day off, Kotoha goes to train with Hime while the rest of the crew (and stupid Rin) watches. Things are going interesting until Hime accidentally tears up Kotoha’s plane ticket. She gets really upset and nearly blows up Hime. Inozuka is off being diabolical in the corner now. Kotoha has new hopes to win a karaoke contest, the prize being a trip to Germany (shocked and amazed). Her friends were waiting to go with her to the karaoke place, but are kidnapped by Inozuka. Kotoha tries to notify the rest of the gang before she confronts Inozuka. Inozuka decides that since he and Kotoha are half youkai, they have a lot in common. He tries to convince her that humans will never understand them and they will have to live in constant fear. Kotoha starts having flashbacks of her being teased as a child and burning down the playground. She almost goes to the dark side but Hime, Ao, and Akina show up. Hime and Kotoha proceed to kick his butt and he leaves a little wounded bird. Kotoha’s friends are all okay and Hime suggests they go sing karaoke since the danger has been gone for ten seconds. But Kotoha has lost her voice so it is all a big karmic joke.

Photobucket
Beware copyright infringements!

So…not really too sure what to say about this episode. I was left feeling sorta confused. I don’t know if it is because I am so slow, the subbing was bad, or that show did a bad job of explaining things.

So…how did Kotoha become a half youkai? I was really looking forward to that being explained and it wasn’t at all. I mean, what do these lines mean?
Photobucket
Photobucket

Confused much? Yeah, so am I. I really don’t think that qualifies as a back story. Unless everyone who gets picked on as a kid suddenly turns into a half demon I am pretty much lost. Most stories with half demon/ half human include a human parent and demon parent. Or perhaps there was an accident and the human received a blood transfusion. This explanation doesn’t fly with me and doesn’t make me pleased. I am sure other people aren’t pleased at this half assed story. Just bleh.

Photobucket
You seriously can't think we are buying this crap!

So is Kotoha in danger of becoming aggressive? It really seemed like she was going to revert into some…crazy being. Of course that doesn’t make sense either as there are other full youkai in this show. Perhaps Kotoha is more susceptible to going crazy as she doesn’t have her full powers. But I still enjoy the power ups by sticking ones tongue out.

Photobucket
Apparently the ultimate GAME OVER.

So….another issue with the plot. Couldn’t Kotoha just get another ticket? Show that her ticket got damaged and get issued a new one? I really did not see all the drama about it. I suppose they just wanted to show her going out of control, but I am not sure that was a very good reason. Also, what is so amazing about Germany? X_X Missing some details here.

Photobucket
I think he is asking you out. :O

I am not sure what Inozuka was thinking. This town was created for youkai and humans to live together. So far I have not really seen too many people upset at the “other” kind. And no one is forcing the humans to be there so they can live if they have a problem. Inozuka sounds like he has been hurt before, but why can’t he just live in this town where it is safe for him? Why create problems for people who are trying to make it work? I am sure his connection to Enjin will explain a lot.

Photobucket
Oh, unless he is talking about those people..

WHY WAS RIN IN THIS EPISODE?! We didn’t even need her ugly face showing up! She is just there to take up space and an excuse to explain people’s past. What a useless tool.

I wasn’t very impressed with the flashback scenes. They didn’t really…explain anything? And it was the same two recycled scenes each time: Kotoha running through a group of students and apparently Kotoha causing a fire. Not oh these kids teased her (why, how did she become a youkai?!) and what set her off to cause a fire. They couldn’t spring for an explanation, just that Hime came and made her feel better. Just so incredibly lazy to me. Don’t decide to do a back story, and then get tired halfway through it. Viewers deserve better and I hope next week reflects on that better.
Tales of the Abyss Episode 7

Photobucket
Trying to outdo Raven's green line of doom.

So our gang is heading off towards the Zao ruins to rescue master Ion. Luke really wants them to pick up the pace and everyone starts getting pissy. Natalia is still thinking about how Asch and Luke look alike and it is not possible for Luke to have a brother. Jade has to stop that line of thinking before they get too close to the truth. Meanwhile Ion is being forced to open some seal under Asch's orders. Before anything awesome can happen, the good guys show up. The green haired oracle god person (Sync) and that dude who supposedly died on the ship Largo spring up and fighting ensues. Sync seems to be the best fighter and leaves some kinda of seal on Guy's body. Asch fights very similar to Luke and he reveals that is because they have had the same teacher. Before anymore screaming matches can take place, the ruins decide to collapse and everyone runs. Both Largo and Asch are :O when they hear Princess Natalia, but Sync reminds them they are not there to care about each other's past.

So blah blah, everyone escapes. Luke becomes a huge jerk and being very demanding on the group. He then meets up with the pirate trio who think he is Asch. They escape before anyone else sees them. Guy starts feeling side effects from that curse thingy Sync did to him. Ion reveals (in his head) that only Fon Masters can use that kind of seal/magic/FON thingy. Then there are like 5 minutes of Luke being a jerk about being the good will ambassador and everyone needs to listen to him. He is quickly vetoed when Ion needs a rest. The gun girl Legretta shows up and pleads with Tear to join her side. Legretta is tired of people revolving their life around the score and that they need to live for themselves. Soon some of the group realizes that they ("baddies") are using a very forbidden magic and are going GASP about it. Luke gets really pissy because they are keeping this a secret from him. Tear tells him to man up, but he instead just thinks of how Van loves him and he can't wait to leave these losers.

Photobucket
Loyal minions are not pleased.

So…this episode should just have been called “Luke bitches at everyone”. He was utterly annoying this week. I can feel for him living cooped up in that house and not having awesome people skills. However, the third time you tell people to hurry up and they are giving you the evil eye, it is a sign to BE QUIET (of course, last week had tons of hurry up moments from other members too. BAD ROLE MODELS!!) I cannot forgive Luke for being mean to Ion. The poor kid was just kidnapped and you already know he isn’t the strongest person. LET THE CHIBI REST! CHIBI ABUSE!!!!! Really, the entire episode was Luke screaming his lines and to hurry up because he is the boss. Perhaps telling him he was an important person (according to the score) was not a good thing.

Photobucket
DO NOT ABUSE THE ION!

With that said….quite a few other people were bitches too!!!!! If I were Luke I would be mad they are always talking about this fon stuff and going over my head (oh wait, I do…). Then with Ion saying Jade to be quiet so Luke won’t find out…just bleh. I mean, not enough bleh for me to forgive the Chibi abuse, but mad enough for not telling their friend the truth. It is not nice talking above people.

Photobucket
That is my new motto for this show!

Photobucket
Let's pretend Luke is not listening to us!

We are still pretending that the big pink elephant is not dancing in the corner. Well, now it is dancing right in front of our heroes and holding up a BIG HUGE SIGN telling everyone what is going to happen next. I suppose that the writers feel that most of their audience already knows the plot and didn’t have to work that hard on creating suspense. That really isn’t good enough for me. :( I have not played the game, I want to be surprised. I rather there have been subtle clues and when the big SHOCK moments happens I could look back and think of all the little signs. Guess the shocking moment will be Luke finding out.

Photobucket
So is the plot. :( Poor little mascot.

I am wondering if my theories about Ion are right now. The whole only a Fon Master could perform that spell. :( Whatever the case may be, I don’t want him to die. In the opening song, you are standing on that hill looking happy! DO NOT LIE TO ME!!!

Photobucket
We can't handle TWO pink elephants!

So…I have decided that I like Legretta now. I too was like…wtf is so important about the score?! X_X The future is what you make it. If you follow out a list of events, chances are it will turn out how it is stated on the list. THAT IS WHY THE SCORE IS ALWAYS RIGHT! Legretta made some good points and possibly a pass at Tear. However I don’t think Van is up to any good. He is just too shady for me. I feel bad that Luke puts all his trust in him, but he is like a sad puppy who needed some love.

Photobucket
For 17 more episodes!

Asch is also growing on me. Well, I never remember saying I hated him, but I like his character a lot more now. I am sure he thinks he is doing the right thing and he is just misunderstood. That or Van has told both Luke and Asch the same thing and is using them both. I still don’t see how they look THAT similar. He just seems caught up in trying to stop the evil lurking in the shadows and is getting shafted into being the bad guy. That and he is less of a jerk than Luke. :P

Photobucket
Although his hair could use a little work....
Kuroshitsuji Episode 4

Photobucket
Yaoi girls do not like to be mislead!

Ceil and Sebastian make it to their summer house in the city. Red Madam, Greil the useless, and Lau (at least I think the Chinese guy is named Lau) are already at the summer house making a mess. Instead of being ultra ticked off, Ceil decided to get right to work by trying to hunt down a prostitute murderer aka Jack the Ripper. The Scotland yard people don’t give Ceil the time of day. The creepy undertaker in town is more helpful after Sebastian pays him his price (a joke). They learn that the uteruses were cut from these women which limits their suspects down to doctors/persons with medical knowledge. Sebastian leaves for about 15 minutes and has narrowed down the list to one man. They all rush to attend the party of the suspect, Aleister Chamber. Madam Red has decided to dress Ceil up as a girl because it made sense at the time! Ceil spends a great deal of the party trying to avoid Elizabeth. Aleister finally approaches Ceil and Ceil…..seduces Aleister into leaving the party. The rest of the group creates a diversion so Elizabeth doesn’t see what is going on. Ceil is knocked out by some overwhelming smell and has a rape scene/corset nightmare. He wakes up and he is being auctioned off by Aleister to a group of people. Sebastian comes and disposes of them all. The two talk briefly about their contract/demon connection, then Sebastian saves his little master. They return to the summer house to find out that Jack the Ripper has struck again. SHOCKER :O

Photobucket
WTF do you mean there is no yaoi?!

I really liked this episode. Was it because there was cross-dressing? Some yaoi undertones? The fact that the stupid trio was not present at all? Mmmmm a combination of all three.

Photobucket
Awesome episode INDEED!

For those of you who think the yaoi/shōnen-ai/shota scenes are unnecessary, stupid, gross, and turn you off from the show…..SHUT UP!!!! I am tired of seeing boobs all over anime and panty shots! Hell, even Clannad has a few accidentally yuri moments. It is time to SUCK IT UP AND DEAL WITH IT!!!

Photobucket
DO NOT TAKE AWAY MY JOYS IN LIFE!

With that said…:( The previews were very misleading. I was expecting…something different from the corset scene. Does that make me a bad person? Probably. But I can still be disappointed. Hopefully after the series is over, I will find some awesome yaoi fanfictions with that scene. I would read them now, but am too afraid of evil spoilers.

Photobucket
My husband of course enters the room when this scene is on...

Photobucket
ONLY TO LAUGH AT MY PAIN!

Ceil is the cutest cross dresser EVER! And that is saying a lot after the Shugo Chara cross dressing extravaganza. I guess Auntie is too old to catch the suspects attention so they were going for the whole really underage girl look. Was that practically statutory rape? Yep. Did it make for good anime? HELL YEAH!! :O Ceil was so adorable in that dress and only 5467 times cuter than Elizabeth. The scene with Sebastian and him dancing…TOO CUTE!!!

Photobucket
BECAUSE THE VIEWERS DEMAND IT!

Photobucket
See, it makes perfect sense.

Oh…maybe I should mention something else in the episode…let me think. Um, the bad guy was not really that impressive, but it turned out he really wasn’t Jack the Ripper. I was more creeped out at the amount of people who took part in the buying of sacrifices/uteruses. One psycho I can understand; an entire room is another thing. It was hard to see him as a real threat when he is sweet talking a 12 year old off her feet. Sorry Mr. Villain, you are lame. :(

Photobucket
Is this seriously happening to me?

I really missed Lau’s….lap lady. :( Yes I am lying. I just found it weird to see him and not her. I really want to know who she is…but then realized she was probably just a prostitute or something. I am just glad Greil had no real part in this episode. That and the stupid trio was left at home and hopefully they will stay there for the next episode too!! REJOICE!!!

Photobucket
Err, random picture?

Sebastian is not really slick on hiding his cool powers. That or everyone else is just simply stupid to not question how “awesome” his powers are. Regardless, he does his job well and now I am on the market for my own demon butler. Not too thrilled about having a geass in my eye, but perhaps it will improve my vision. :O On to episode 5!!!
Photobucket
Knight in shiny armor!
Kuroshitsuji Episode 5

Photobucket
PROTECT THE UKE!!!

Ceil and his Aunt are playing chess. Ceil is upset that Jack the Ripper is still on the loose. Madam Red is worried about her young nephew and doesn’t want him to put himself in danger. Ceil says he is not the Queen’s underling because of his family ties, but to avenge his parents and his soiled name. Greil comes and picks up Madam Red. Ceil gets pissed off that Sebastian did not really research the killer. Sebastian says that he was asked to find the killer due to human limitations (or something along those lines). Ceil is all like -__- Fine jerk. So Ceil and Sebastian are hanging out in the alley way when they hear a woman’s scream. They don’t make it in time and find a body of a young woman. Sebastian covers Ceil’s eyes as Greil comes out of the blood soaked house. Greil tries to lie and say he didn’t do any of this, but Sebastian calls him out on being a non-human. Greil transforms into an ugly thing with huge teeth and introduces himself as a Shinigami. Out of the shadows comes Madam Red, the REAL killer. Ceil explains how he knew they were the two behind these murders. Greil suddenly has a chain saw/ scythe and tries to slash Sebastian. Madam Red man handles Ceil a little bit, but she can’t bring herself to kill her sister’s kid. Sebastian sacrifices his arm to protect his master, but Ceil doesn’t want Sebastian to kill her.

Well, Greil decides that Madam Red has showed weakness and slices her up. Greil then shows her past via film strip. When she was younger, she and her sister fell for the same man, but he married her sister. Madam Red married another man and was about to start a happy little family when her carriage was overturn. Her husband died and they had to take out her womb/her unborn child to save her life. Then her sister and past love burn to death in a fire. She turned into a bitter woman and her rage only grew when prostitutes would come in asking for abortions. She kinda…went insane and started to go around and kill those women. That is how she hooked up with Greil. Her attitude on life changed slightly when she found out Ceil was still alive, but it was too late. She dies with tears in her eyes and Greil laughing at her miserable existence. Sebastian tries to..sorta comfort Ceil, but Ceil demands that he kill Greil too.

HOLY %*#^!! 0_o That was the only thing I could say the entire time I was watching this episode. Bravo Kuroshitsuji for totally blowing my mind in an awesome way.

Photobucket
Did that really just happen?!

How can a show go from happy (?) cross dressing to dead Aunt in just open episode!
:O For a while I was going…seriously, what the hell is going on? How could Ceil know it was her? Why is she doing this? It looked like there were going to be plot holes and a lot of over the top reasons that didn’t add up but the writers were expecting us to buy…but they didn’t! THEY REALLY PULLED THROUGH! Join me now in rejoicing people!

Photobucket
Err....we will rejoice next week when that dies.

First…didn’t see that one coming about the Aunt. I thought she was just an eccentric woman looking after her nephew. Who knew she was a crazy person running around stealing uteruses?! (Well, besides the people who read the manga of course?) They did over do it on the red factor, but it also showed how gone this woman was. And I like how she showed some kind of soul or remorse left when she couldn’t kill her own nephew. Yes her reasoning was pretty..out there, but she had a line she could not cross.

Photobucket
Never again will I complain about my crazy aunt!

Photobucket
A sad past revealed....

Second..GREIL?! Are you kidding me?! That useless piece of space was actually a killer?! I would have never called that in a million years. He would be second to last on my suspect list (one step about whatever the maid’s name is…her name escapes me at the moment and she is not worth clicking a few links). I would have liked it better if he actually looked like himself and was a killer….but that might be too much to wish on someone, real or not. The only thing I did not like about the entire show was the comic moments with Greil. This was you know….the site of a bloody homicide. Making jokes and passes at Sebastian were really not necessary. The episode would have been more powerful without those added scenes. Setting those issues aside…great use of a crappy character. :) I look forward to him dying next week.

Photobucket
Remember when Duo claimed to be the god of death...sorta miss those days...

Sebastian really showed his loyalty (UNDYING LOVE) for Ceil in this episode. Okay, so he can regenerate his arm…but I am sure it still hurt like hell. He just looked so panicked and worried for his young master. He is also worried about protecting his young master’s emotions (or he was merely following orders…). Sure Sebastian started off as an asshat, not really investigating like he should have, but he more than redeemed himself.

Photobucket
Seme to the rescue!

Ceil….has a really tough life. Dead parents, making a pact with a demon, and crazy aunt who is Jack the Ripper. After the episode was over, I fully understand the facts of the case and see how they add up. It wasn’t totally pulled out of someone’s butt. Ceil acted like his normal stoic self when explaining the facts, but he still acted like a scared little boy when he found the body or when he witnessed his Aunt’s abuse. Granted Sebastian had more of a reaction to her dying…but Ceil actually looked sad! It was nice to see him expressing some other emotions besides pissed off. :( Of course, next episode I want Ceil to be crying his Chibi self in a corner and Sebastian comforting him…YES I DREAM PEOPLE!!! But seriously, this episode is really great and makes the series much more enjoyable. Would it be too much to ask if the other stupids get turned into bad guys too?

Photobucket
Stop abusing Ceil!!!

See, SEE the yaoi!
Kuroshitsuji Episode 6

Photobucket
STOP THE CHIBI ABUSE!

Ceil manages to cover Madam Red’s body while Greil and Sebastian take their fight to the roof top. The battle is not very…serious as Greil keeps making wise cracks and saying how he wants to have Sebastian’s babies. Greil almost makes a death blow, but is disappointed that Sebastian’s “seedy past” is just that of the stupid trio. Sebastian regains his footing and decides to kick Greil’s face into the ground. Sebastian pauses and asks Ceil if he is willing to take responsibility for killing a Shinigami. Ceil says he is, but Greil’s life is spared by another Shinigami, William Spears. Spears is here to bring back Greil for breaking a bunch of Shinigami rules. Spears decides to call Sebastian a vermin and other lovely things before dragging off Greil. Sebastian turns his attention to Ceil. Ceil is trying to hide the fact that he is hurting, but he sorta fails at that. Madam Red’s funeral is held and Ceil interrupts it to incorporate her love of the color red. The stupid trio are sad about her death and…their scene is useless. One of the investigators for Scotland yard tries to warn his subordinate to not dig into this crime or he will be sorry. Mau seems very amused at this whole Jack the Ripper situation. Ceil warns Mau to pull out of the opium dens that are sprouting up. Mau just laughs and walks away. The undertaker takes Ceil and Sebastian to the last victim. Ceil claims he is not trying to be kind; he is simply acknowledges he prioritized capturing Jack the Ripper more than her life. The undertaker manhandles Ceil for a few moments then leaves. Sebastian says that Ceil had a chance to kill his Aunt but didn’t. Ceil contradicts himself by saying he saw hesitation in her eyes…and it was Sebastian’s job to protect him anyway. Sebastian compares Ceil’s life to a chess match and how Ceil will step on all the bodies of his pawns to get what he wants. Sebastian also promises to be there when Ceil falls.

Photobucket
That is the saddest I have ever seen Ceil.

Well….that wasn’t what I was expecting. I feel sometimes I expect too much from a simple anime show and that is why I am often disappointed. Of course, it would have been hard to top the GASP moments from last week anyway.

Photobucket
Not even enough yaoi for me... :(

The tone of the episode was way too comical for me. I appreciate a good comedy, but there is dead Aunt lying on the ground. Ceil did just lose his only living relative. And Sebastian and Greil are trying to kill each other….it really wasn’t the time for such happy background music and indecent proposals.

Photobucket
The battle is VERY serious.

Ceil did not act how I thought he would which saddens me. :( I wanted him to behave like a normal 12 year old for 10 seconds. A few tears would have been nice. He acted just faint from blood or the whole event that happened, not because his Aunt was dead. And NO, I didn’t want Ceil to cry just because I wanted more potential yaoi moments…that would have been just a nice bonus. Perhaps he is trying to prove he is a big boy and has no room for such weak feelings…or maybe he really is bent on revenge and has no time for tears. Either way, I was expecting more from Ceil and was disappointed with what I got. Maybe Clannad spoils me with boy tears.

Photobucket
You try crying with this seal in your eye!

Shinigami’s have awesome timing. They don’t come to stop their colleagues from killing people not on the list. They don’t stop their colleagues from…hacking up their partners in crime. And they don’t attempt to stop demons from bashing their colleague’s faces into the ground. No no, the most important rule that Greil almost broke was revealing who killed Ceil’s parents. Because that would be the worst thing EVER! I suppose I should be happy they are trying to keep the plot fresh in our minds. And don’t villains often resort to drastic measures to keep themselves alive? You really can’t kill the one who holds all the answers you seek. I wonder if the Shinigami will play a bigger role later or if this was their only appearance.

Photobucket
Quick! Make yourself valuable!

I think Ceil has surrounded himself with wonderful people. He has a butler who is a demon, an Aunt who is a serial killer, and an associate who runs opium dens. If I was going to break the law or being sinister, I would stay far away from the one who claims to be the Queen’s watch dog, but that’s just me.

Photobucket
I think Elizabeth better watch her back from now on.

Raise your hand if you are enjoying the Code Geass aspects of this show. We already have the geass eye and the “yes, my lord”. Now we got the awesome over use of a chess game. Ceil/Lelouch is using people as his pawns and moves them to his advantage regardless of his connect with them. Both Ceil and Lulu were/are fighting to find out the truth about their departed relatives, yet don’t shed a tear when another relative dies. And they both have (had) supernatural creatures helping them through a contract! The only thing that is different is Lulu and Suzaku are of legal age and reading their yaoi fanfictions don’t put me in danger of getting sent to jail.

Photobucket
Epic chess match!

Photobucket
MORE CHIBI ABUSE!

So this arch ended on a weird note. I wish there had been a more serious atmosphere during the battle scene. I also wish that Sebastian had comforted Ceil instead of going on and on about how he will stay with him until the end. :( Let’s stop mentioning such sad topics. Next week’s episode has the return of the stupid trio and looks a little boring. Of course boring really means that someone is cloning killer bunnies or something. Guess we will find out next week if Kuroshitsuji can amaze me again.

Photobucket
Sebastian is not a fan of the bunnies...
Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 6

YOUR SUBBING SUCKS!

I would like to start this review off by thanking the lovely subbers who have probably blinded me another degree. On one hand, maybe I deserved to see such crap because I was being impatient. I was too tired after work one day and didn’t want to waste Clannad on a tired me. I felt that Vampire Knights was about the speed I was at; it doesn’t require much deep thought and perhaps I would be so tired to be pissed off. But….it still remains those youtube subs sucked. I am sure people are saying “Oh, if subbing is so easy, why don’t you do it blah, blah without subbers you couldn’t watch it at all”. Yeah, I don’t care. There are other subbers out there that seem to translate the sentences in a way that MAKES sense, spell the names right, time the subs correctly, and not use horrible fonts with stupid colors. If you can’t create a sub like that then please don’t. Just wait until another more capable group can get the job done right. …Orange font indeed.

So what happened in this episode? Almost a whole lot of nothing. Kaname wants to talk to Ichiru about staying away from Yuki. Ichiru is too awesomely cool to be bothered by Kaname-sama. The headmaster is concerned about Yuki and her relationship with Kaname. Yuki meanwhile is having nightmares/flashbacks that leave her tired the next day. Good thing that Kaname-sama has sent some of the Night Class to escort her around the big bad campus. Zero is very impressed and the Night Class is very thrilled at this lovely task. Also, Yuki is told about her past and I won a million dollars today. The stress of all this fun fun fun is too much on dear Yuki and she passes out. Aido stands guard at the infirmary, but allows Ichiru to come in when he (Ichiru) claims to be sick. But SHOCKER Ichiru is up to no good and he tries to slip Yuki some blood. Aido is actually awesome and kicks him out of the room. Like the cute doomed vampire he is, he goes and tells Kaname that Ichiru is a bad BAD man. Kaname thanks him for the information and decides to not answer any of Aido’s questions. They do mention in passing that Ruka is off in the emo corner that she doesn’t get to be Kaname’s lover. The headmaster doesn’t want to punish Ichiru because that would make sense. He instead insists that Ichiru come to dinner so he and Zero can bond…or kill each other over the magical tomato soup. Aido tells Ichiru to piss off again because the episode needed more Aido. Aido decides he has not made enough people mad so he runs to find Yuki to make sure that she knows they were not happy about watching her and they still hate her guts, respectfully Yuki-sama. While declaring his hate for Yuki, he hinted at the fact Kaname’s past is hidden so well too…and that it might be connected to Yuki’s. Then Aido brings Yuki and Zero to Kaname so…Kaname cannot tell Yuki about her past again and make Yuki uncomfortable. Ichiru is thinking of how happy he and chibi Zero were during their childhood. Zero and Yuki arrive home and Yuki opens her big trap about Ichiru being in the infirmary. Ichiru leaves and everyone is all pouty. MEANWHILE Ichijo is driving the possessed Shiki back to the school. Rima greets Shiki, but knows something is up.

Photobucket
Aren't I sexy?

Okay, so I did imply that nothing happened during this episode. Yet there is a huge paragraph above that is sorta contradictory. So I will try to sum up the episode in terms of what wasn’t some pointless piece of crap and focus on material contusive to the actual plot. Yuki has more flashbacks and continues to be a douche about being a huge burden on people while being a burden on people. Ichiru tries to slip Yuki some blood and Kaname is pissed off by that. The Night Class is given the useless task of protecting Yuki from cracks on the side walk and are pissed off about that. Zero gets to watch Yuki and Kaname go on a date. Shiki returns to campus and is possessed by his father (probably). Oh…AND KANAME DID NOT TELL YUKI ABOUT HER PAST AGAIN. Yes, that is the episode for ya.

Photobucket
Shiki being all evilfied!

Let’s start with Kaname ordering the Night Class to protect her. Protect her…from who? Them, the Night Class themselves? Because last time I looked, most of them are not really fond of Yuki. The day class probably is pissed Yuki once again. And any enemy after Kaname know can just go after Yuki, with the big neon sign pointing to her head that says “I am important, attack me!!!”. Yuki has been in danger before and Kaname has not gone out of his way to protect her so what has changed now? It just seemed so unnecessary.

Photobucket
Yuki is feeling very safe now.

Did we really just go through another episode without finding out about Yuki’s past? Does the series have to be on episode 12 for the truth to finally be revealed? Because if they really wait that long I just might die from boredom. One can only take so much of Yuki’s whine attacks, Kaname’s ultra secretiveness, and Zero’s self martyrness. That and Kanae did say if Yuki became his “lover”, he would tell her. He is running out of excuses and is dragging the plot to a halt.

Photobucket
Zero had tons of fun watching this scene.

WOOT FOR AIDO THOUGH! Yes he was a little harsh explaining to Yuki that everyone was pissed off…but at least he was honest. Since Kaname doesn’t want to tell anyone the truth, they can’t understand why Yuki is more important than they are. But Aido is so devoted to his lord; he will guard someone he feels is unworthy. He even tried to help her out by saying her past and Kaname’s past must be related. Hell that is more information than her beloved Kaname-sama has given her. Aido is just a power little pawn in this game…and I fear he may lose soon.

Photobucket
Aido is such a good little minion!

The most INTERESTING aspect of this show was Ichiru trying to slip Yuki some blood. He majorly fails at the stealth aspect of his mission, but he raised some questions and at least proved Kaname right on the fact that Yuki needs to be guarded. Now everyone (who has not read the manga) will be dying to know what exactly he is up to. Of course, Ichiru was also the lamest part of the show with the tomato soup memory. We already get that Zero and Ichiru were close in the past. There is no need to waste time pretending one day they will be close again.

Kaname really better be careful in the next coming weeks. Aido is getting closer to the truth all the time, Ruka might throw herself out of a window at some point, Shiki is possessed and Ichijo is too scared to protect anyone including himself. His minions of darkness are getting kind of low and all he has to show for his troubles is a whiney Yuki. Save Shiki instead! He will appreciate it more!!

Photobucket
Too scared to help Kaname-sama.
Hakushaku to Yousei Episode 5

Photobucket
How mysterious!

The episode starts off with a cute little fairy flying about. A dark hair man stops to make conversation with the little fairy. She happily shows him a ring she is suppose to be delivering to the bridegroom (the Earl). She flies off to complete her task and the dark hair man cackles, as he has stolen the ring. The viewers learn that 3 months have passed since episode 4. Lydia is working for Edgar as a fairy doctor and that frog man (Tompkins) is now serving Edgar/Blue Earl. Frogman and Lydia talk about the Fairy Queen and how the past Earl was almost tricked into marrying her, but he was too cunning for her. Edgar pops in and the point of the episode is really driven home when Edgar shows Lydia a painting of the Queen and says she looks just like Lydia. Then Edgar switches the topic to a party he is planning and how Lydia should be oh so happy to learn he hired a dancing instructor just for her. She gets on to him about being a player, but agrees to the lessons anyway. Oh and Lydia also lets it slide into the conversation (oh so naturally too) that the Earl used a spell on the Queen to stop her advances. Edgar gets all jealous as that means she must have used that spell on someone before. Anywho Lydia is sucking at dancing and killing all of Raven’s toes. During a break, Nico reveals that a fairy has arrived, Marigold (the fairy from earlier). She takes human form and is instructed to wait as the dance instructor comes back in. Well, it turns out the dance instructor is really there to kill Lydia. Raven protects her (without the green ooze eye) and the dance instructor manages to escape. The bad news train keeps on rolling as Marigold informs the Earl that the item she was trying to deliver to him was stolen. Marigold is sorta scared to go back home, so Edgar invites her to stay with them. Edgar then decides that it is more important to focus on the party.

At the party, Edgar seems to be very popular with the ladies. Lydia has been given instructions not to dance with anyone, but she is approached by a man named Paul. He is the one who painted Edgar’s picture and has a fascination with fairies (but doesn’t think they are real). Outside Nico nearly has a heart attack when a water horse jumps out of the fountain. He runs and tells Lydia who is all like…no, it couldn’t be…..TADA! Horsie turns into the man from earlier who stole the ring, Kelpie. He is the one that Lydia had to use the spell on before and she probably has good reason to as he wants to take her back to Scotland. Lydia decides going off with this fine man is not in the cards for her and Paul comes to her rescue. During some crazy tug of war, Kelpie accidentally puts the promised moon ring on Paul’s finger and everyone is x_X. Edgar finally gets wind of what is going on and makes an appearance outside. Kelpie tries to attack Edgar, but Raven arrives to complete the bishounen party. Kelpie runs away into the fountain. Edgar once again has his priorities in a different place and decides it is time to dance with Lydia. After the dance, Edgar takes Lydia outside to ask if Kelpie (or Cain as Edgar was told by Lydia). Lydia gets upset saying neither one of them are in love with her and they need to stop playing games. Edgar decides to voice his jealously and how much Lydia means to her. Lydia has another flashback of her past and how a boy treated her like crap. Edgar doesn’t have time to be that sad as he gets a letter how people know he is not the real Earl and they are out to kill him!

Photobucket
But I'm too cute!

Well, I must say…I didn’t absolutely die from boredom with his episode. Perhaps it was the sheer amount of bishounens running around or that I had such low expectations for the show there was nowhere to go but up! Regardless, I was about 6 seconds from dropping this show and it pulled an “I guess it is worth it” out of me.

Photobucket
What a lovely and plot inducing painting.

My favorite part of the show is that Edgar is not going to get away with his lie. He had good reasons for wanting to become Earl, but it still remains he is not the rightful heir. I will enjoy seeing the real descendant come forward and laughing at their pain as they get what they deserve for waiting for long to come forward. Goodness knows we need more good looking men fighting it out and appearing in the closing song naked.

Photobucket
Yes, the closing song is vulgar :P

They slightly overdid it on the moon references this week. It seems most animes this season don’t have a great grasp on what the word subtle means so perhaps I will let this slide. But if you are a member of an evil organization nowadays you must wear your ‘gang” symbol prevalent on your body so the viewers experience no shock at all.

Photobucket
Such a big secret!

The funniest part of the show was the impromptu engagement of Kelpie and Paul. Granted it would have been more amusing had the two men actually known each other ahead of time. But now I look forward to my mind imagining how they are always at odds and in the end they learn to love each other. Call me a big romantic at heart. Or a perverted yaoi obsessed fan, either is fine.

Photobucket
Clearly everyone is pleased!

Photobucket
So the yaoi will take longer that usual...

The two random flashbacks were…well random. Build up is apparently also lost on some newer animes. They could have shown a flashback when Lydia first met Edgar and that event is why she doesn’t trust men. It just seems weird to be playing this card now after supposedly three months of her serving him. I guess I will chalk that up to it being a shorter series and it is hard to cram all this material in to the episodes AND make sense.

Photobucket
Random flashbacks are random.

Best line of the whole show: I think my future wife hates me now. Edgar often says over the top things (like his I am going to kill myself speech or how he loves Lydia) but I think that one takes the cake. His over confidence is funny enough to laugh at his impeding suffering but not quite annoying enough to be reach the rude arrogance level. Of course frogman has a snappy comment about how much wives hate their husbands anyway so Edgar should not be worried. Those words comfort Edgar and I chose to believe he wasn’t being sarcastic at all, but sees it as a glimmer of hope. Thank you Edgar, I needed a laugh after a long day.

Photobucket
They often do man, they often do.

So next week I might actually look forward to watching this show instead of dreading it! :O I AM SHOCKED AND AMAZED!!
Clannad After Story Episode 7

Photobucket
SUCKS TO BE YOU!

The robot in the other world opens up the episode. He is talking about how he thinks winter is coming and they should leave the house. The girl is sleeping more and more lately and he worries. The little girl tells him that if they leave the house, they might not be able to make it back and if she gets too cold, she won't be able to move at all. Still, they decided to leave anyway. Elsewhere in the real world Sunohara, Tomoya, and Nagisa are all chillin in the reference room while Yukine makes them all lunch. Yukine tells the group that a lot of things end up in the room, thus she has a burner to make them a meal. Sunohara tries to tell Yukine the reason they are there is so he can confess his love to her. He is immediately shut down as Yukine claims there is someone else he is more suited for. Suddenly a huge dude named Sudou collapses into the window. Yukine runs to help him and his pathetic self. He got all beat up and is feeling down about himself, so Yukine teaches him a "spell" and he quickly gets over it. Sudou starts explaining that Yukine is sorta like their big sister for their group when a rival gang member arrives at the window sill. The two men respect Yukine enough that they will take their fight outside.

After school, Yukine explains that her older brother is the leader of the gang Sudou is in and that is how she knows all these men. Her brother apparently is a very kind gang leader despite no one knowing what he looks like. Suddenly Yukine is grabbed from behind...by a little kid. Sunohara is special ed and decides to tell the kid, Yuu, that he is Kazuto and if he has a problem he needs to come to him. Yukine decides that everyone needs to calm down and takes everyone to Sunohara's place. Yuu reveals that his sister has run away from home and joined Kazuto's gang. Yuu is worried for her and that is why he came to attack Yukine (since no one knows what Kazuto looks like). Yukine promises that she will find Yuu's sister. Meanwhile Yuu has decided that Sunohara/Kazuto fake is awesome and cool and he wants to be like him. Tomoya finds the whole thing stupid. Tomoya is further pissed off when Sunohara gets them all in trouble later. After school (again) Yukine tells the group she has found Yuu's sister. Kazuto's gang gathers at this restaurant to hang out and Yuu and his sister have a happy reunion. Sunohara almost gets his butt kicked when the gang finds out he was pretending to be Kazuto, but they let him off with a warning. Yukine explains that these gang members often have problems with their family and they come here so they can be each other’s family. Everyone hangs out and has a great time, but Yukine avoids Tomoya's questions on what Kazuto looks like. When Sunohara, Nagisa, Tomoya, and Yukine leave the restaurant, the other gang is waiting on them and wants to fight Kazuto (whom they think is Sunohara). The group tries to run for it, but Tomoyo comes out of nowhere and drops kick the other gang. It ends with Tomoyo demanding answers from the group.

Photobucket
It always is...

Well, this episode was not as cute as the last one (but what can top Shima and his cute eyes!!!) I am not really looking forward (waiting for) to any plots like some people are so if they never get to "Nagisa's story" it won't bother me. :) I quite like all these other character arcs.

Photobucket
Lots of fun was had by all!

Yukine always looks so sleepy to me. I suppose if I had to look after a bunch of "delinquents" all the time I would be tired too. I can't help but smile when I see her dopey eyes, makes me want to hug her close.

Photobucket
How can she see anything?!

I think Japan is very lucky. :P Apparently their gangs are very tame. Gangs here in America have more....killing? Drug use, vandalism, stealing, rapping, ect. Gangs in Japan just have gangs beating up on each other and skipping school. Perhaps that is why they were called GROUPS but subbers translated it into gangs. Either way, they are way less scary than the asshole soccer team.

Photobucket
Very dangerous gang members!

I liked how the other world segment picked up the pace, although I missed the sheeps. The trash man robot made the little girl hint at things and it sorta foreshadowed things to come. I really enjoy these small segments up and I hope everyone unaware of the ending will enjoy the surprise to come.

Photobucket
But what about the sheep?!

Yuu is a little cutie pie, but he is no Shima! YOU LOSE YUU! I am however starting to feel jipped. As the oldest, I do not remember my younger siblings ever being this worried about me! I was always the one looking after them. :( Whatever, they aren't cute like Shima and Yuu. I couldn't help but go AWWW when Yuu tried to man handle Yukine. So innocent, so naive.

Photobucket
My brothers were never that cute!

When is Sunohara going to learn? He loses every single time. Don't try to lie and look cool, you are just going to end up with a busted up face and your pride smashed on the ground. This week his lies almost got the rest of the group in trouble!!! Maybe I should feel sorry for Yuu...as he wanted to be like Sunohara.

Photobucket
Because the world needs another Sunohara.

Nagisa seems to have been lost in the shuffle lately. Sure she is always there but she is not really contributing to the plot very much. She is more the tiny voice of reason that gets ignored all the time. Granted last season a lot of the plot was about her....still it would be nice to see more of her and Tomoya getting close as a couple.

Photobucket
Help help, I'm being forgotten!

So Yukine's sorta problem is revealed. She is constantly worrying over these gang members and her brother is the leader. However, I find it odd there is not one picture of him. That leads me to believe he is really a she or he is really Yukine. With Clannad, anything is possible. He is not allowed to be a cat..that is only for Shima! I look forward to finding out next week if Kazuto actually exists or not.
Shugo Chara Doki Episode 58

Photobucket
Not everything is better with bunnies.

Amu is running late to school and will probably be even later now. Ami won some sort of award at school, but her parents were unable to find the toy she wanted. She decides that she hates them and tells Amu she has to take her to school. She then holds all her Charas hostage. The other Guardians are busy talking about the mysterious mystery eggs and WHO could be the cause of it. Amu runs in late and tells everyone where her Charas are. Kiseki is mad that his minions are not there for his meeting (as Iru and Eru were also present) and he takes all the Charas to find Ami. Yoru sees them and decides to tag along. They get to the kindergarten and it is about 12 minutes of useless....err I mean FUN 4-5 year old stuff. The kids torture the Charas and everyone seems to be having fun. Well except one little psychopath named Maa-kun. He is obsessed with clay and making sculptures. He man handles Kiseki so he can make a little clay figurine of him. Oh and he keeps saying NO NO NO over again. Nana happens to walk on by and sees that this kid is "troubled". Amu and Tadase come by to pick up all the Charas later. Lulu comes by and does her trademark move. Yaya calls and tells Amu and Tadase to come quick! There are clay sculptures all over the place. Everyone transforms, but Tadase is unable to fight since Kiseki wants to protect his statues. Lulu is watching from the sidelines. Amu tries healing his open heart....but it turns out he is just a little kid who is starting to find out what he likes. He quickly abandons the clay and demands origami paper from his mom. Everyone is like x_X. Amu's parents give Ami the doll house she asked for and she is pleased. It turns out she was asking for that so the Charas could have a place to live. Everyone say AWWWW.

Photobucket
Look at that GREAT ART WORK!

I knew knew KNEW this episode was going to be boring as hell and I was right. Between Ami and the Charas, the episode was super annoying and possibly the most boring spoiler ever.

Tadase is boring too.

I hate the sound of Ami's voice. Sure she is just a 4 year old, but it sounds like someone is constantly talking with food in their mouth. Her entire class was filled with tiny little brats and I felt bad for that teacher. Had I been her, I would have jumped off a bridge a long time ago.

Why did I want a little sister again?!

The friend of the week...was so weird. I honestly think that little boy had mental issues. Who sits in the corner saying now constantly? No one SANE that is. I am surprised his teacher did not force him to sit with the rest of the group. But maybe she had tried before and he had bitten her hand or something equally as rude. That is not normal behavior for an adult to sit in the corner and constantly mumble no, not to mention a 4 year old. It wasn't cute at all, it was bizarre.

Truly disturbing...

The writers must think we have rocks for brains. Why the hell would Nana be walking by the kindergarten school anyway? Can we say giant stretch?! And I don't see how that kid has lost his way. HE IS FIVE!!! He can't even tie his shoes, let alone understands not meeting his dreams. Lulu already is grasping at straws if these are the best victims she has to pick from.

Photobucket
That is such a sneaky pose...not.

The only thing that was funny about this episode was when Amu could not open heart the little boy. She was sitting there trying different things and in the end nothing worked. Perhaps the writers aren't THAT stupid to realize that a kid his age couldn't even DO a Chara change, let alone doubt himself. Thanks for letting a little kid remain a little kid. But laughing at Amu was fun. :)

Photobucket
But it alway worked again!

So this is what happens when you do not have Nagihiko in the episode. Apparently he and Ikuto are the ones to carry the show now. Hopefully next week's episode won't suck as much, but then again it doesn't have to try that hard to succeed.

Yeah, it was pretty boring there too....

Elegance: You're doing it right!

The crew watches as Ren carry an uncooperative Kyoko to the shoot. Ren's manager Yashiro tends to Kyoko's ankle and is surprised to learn that Kyoko doesn't find Ren as charming as everyone else does. Elsewhere Ruriko is massively pissed that Kyoko has received all this attention. That is truly sad as Kyoko still thinks Ruriko is a lovely princess who needs protecting. Ruriko attempts to get Ren's attention, but he doesn't respond the way she thinks he should and she stomps off all pissed. The director admonishes Ren as that was not the plan. Ruriko runs into Kyoko and basically lays into her. Ruriko accuses Kyoko of sucking up and kissing ass to get into the LOVE ME section and Ruriko thinks only truly talented people should be in LME. Kyoko holds in her demons and helps get Ruriko back to the shoot. Instead of being happy that Ruriko has returned to set, everyone else is sorta fawning over Kyoko (although Kyoko is suspicious of Ren's intentions). Ruriko's mood further sours as she is not getting the scene right. She threatens to quit...and no one cares. She then challenges Kyoko to do the scene instead. Kyoko excels in the scene due to basic skills she learned in her upbringing. Kyoko's ankle is pretty messed up at this point and Ren tells her to not film the next scene as it will further aggravate her injury. But Ruriko is off being bitchy about the situation so Kyoko can't back down. Ruriko doesn't even get to finish the scene because she sucks so bad. Kyoko lets her demons out as she tells Ruriko to prepare to watch her career go down the tubes.

Wonder if she is allergic to that...

I loved loved LOOOOOOOOVED this episode. It had Kyoko showing both her soft and demon side. Ren was both a bastard and a kind hearted person. Ruriko was a bitch and someone who is losing self confidence. And we even had a super sayian moment, even if it was just her foot!

Photobucket
MMM powered up foot...

Let's start off with Kyoko since she is the most important character. I am glad she is super suspicious of Ren and his "good intentions". She is a heroine that seems to learn her lesson. It must have taken great restraint to not accept help after an injury like that. She also exercised self restraint when she didn't knock Ruriko on her ass the first time she insulted her. She knows that she has to show self control if she wants to become a star. She gave Ruriko chance after chance to be a better person, but Kyoko finally had to let the demons have their way. I am also very glad that skills Kyoko learned earlier in life are helping her progress now. Actors and actresses tend to live very sheltered lives so it is hard for them to connect with the role they are trying to portray. Kyoko can relate better to characters and show humility, something Ruriko cannot.

:O You mean parents can be right?!

Ren...is still a jerk. Maybe not as much as last week, but the butt head can't change my opinion about him over night. I think he enjoyed Kyoko being wary of him because of episode 4. He shows Ruriko his true feelings for her instead of going with the President’s plan of tough love. He honestly loves acting and I can see how he would pissed at some newbie diva. I don't know if he was actually concerned for Kyoko's ankle or pushing her harder into the tea ceremony scene. Either way I didn't see her giving up anyway.

Photobucket
At least someone loves him.

Ruriko really played her role of evil psycho bitch well. It seems to me she hasn't EARNED her right to be that diva like. It just goes to show you some people get a little bit of fame and then think they are the s***. She is so blinded by jealously she fails to realize SHE is the reason Kyoko is getting so much attention. Had she just done the acting scene right and listened to direction, she would not be fighting for her own role. She will find out the hard way that you don't challenge Kyoko to anything....

Photobucket
The sting of jealously!

I do have a question though. x_X Why was the tea ceremony being held outside? I have also seen it done inside you know...a tea house or at least inside. It seems kinda difficult to perform this ritual outside. I suppose it had to be held outside so Kyoko and Ruriko could get in a fight over the sunlight...but it felt like a stretch to me.

Photobucket
Who needs logic when you have sceens like this?!

One thing that makes me so irrationally upset is when other people have demon auras. I feel as if that is something only Kyoko should be able to do. It is her trademark after all! Ruriko didn't go far enough into her soul to bring out her true demon aura. No one will ever be able to pull off being so twisted better than Kyoko.

Photobucket
Kyoko delivers insults so lovely!

I really hope that Kyoko can pull off the tea ceremony next week. She is fighting through a lot of pain and I rather her not be furthered injured. I also hope that Sho doesn't show up next episode; it seems more enjoyable without him. :)
