Code Geass R2 Episode 23

Nunnally takes a stupid pill!

Click here if you want to ruin the episode for yourself...

I just got done watching episode 23 of Code Geass R2 and I feel like stabbing some people in the face. Nunnally is the biggest candidate. I do not know if she really is brainwashed, geassed, or just plain stupid, but she can die now for all I care. Her brother Lelouch has done EVERYTHING for her from the time her "family" threw her away/hide her from danger. Schneizel was off playing war when you were all but forgotten at that school. Schneizel is the brother who just gunned down Cornelia for objecting to his cruel ways. Sure Lelouch killed Euphemia, but that was an accident, even if he fails to tell other people of that fact. Your dear brother Schneizel capped your sister on purpose and I hope you are not dumb enough to realize he will throw you in the line of fire to crush Lelouch. Lelouch was the one who has left the battlefield TWICE to search for your blind self. So, I believe this episode should have been entitles Nunnally's mask, as she is following Schneizel recklessly without even hearing Lelouch's side of the story.

ALL HAIL The Princess of Ignorance!

Nunnally, you going to ask where you sister is?!

Another thing that brought pain to my soul was Lelouch relying on Nina. It seems as if this psychopath is going to make it to the end of the series. Of course she is trying to mend her ways and is SHOCKED that people are using her weapons as...weapons! Hopefully it will turn out the only way to stop the F.L.E.I.J.A. is her flinging her body into the massive weapon. That will redeem her for violating that table and my eyes on many of occasion.

Please....please just die.

Wtf is the purple stuff?!

There were a few touching scenes in this episode. I know this is my inner yaoi girl speaking, but Suzaku trying to shake some sense into Lelouch was a great show of friendship and loyalty (and a great source of yaoi fanfiction). His comment about being Lelouch's sword was great, a sign of that Suzaku finally believes in Lelouch LIKE HE SHOULD HAVE ALL ALONG (of course, with two episodes left, he could just be a spy or something equally as upsetting and crush my dreams). C.C and Lelouch had a very nice moment discussing how Lelouch has grown and now can't only focus on Nunnally like he has in the past. Perhaps C.C. will change her mind and want to live, even if I feel she will die in a fiery blaze with Kallen to save Lelouch.

The author is thinking happy thoughts.

Probably the last calm moment they will ever have.

Kallen deserved a little stabbing in the episode as well. Was she not the one kissing Lelouch last episode? Now it seems as if Kallen and Gino will become at item if they survive this war. Kallen really disturbed me with her turn coat attitude. She of all people should realize Lelouch always has something up his sleeves. She knew about Lelouch's identity for so long and yet she still chose to believe Schneizel. Seriously, doesn't anyone care about the other side of the story anymore?! Ougi and his traitor self almost died in this episode, which is what he deserves. He played a big part in turning people against Lelouch. However, with a baby on the way, it seems as if he may get a happy ending with his new little family. Clamp is against happy endings half the time, so who knows on this situation.

I still have faith in karmic justice...

Kallen and her traitor self!

We are getting down to the end folks and I think we should expect heavy causalities from both sides. With all the changing sides and stabbing people in the back, who knows who will be left standing at the end of the day? If I were a normal citizen in this world, I would care less who won, as it seems like both sides are after the same thing. Let's just pray to God that Nunnally is the one left in charge of the whole world....
