Clannad Review

Photobucket
A Big Dango Family!

As soon as the snowflakes and the couple starts to fade into the background, being replaced by the closing dangos came into view, I had tears in my eyes. One, because that scene was very touching and two, the series was over (of course we all know that there is going to be a second season, but let me have my melodramatic moment please). I was SO impressed with this series, it truly makes up for the lackluster anime I put myself through last week. Thank you for renewing my faith in the shojo genre.

Beautiful snow scene.

The art was top notch the entire series. Sometimes during a series, there are a few episodes that are less that stellar, like someone on second staff took over for the day. But Clannad had great art the entire series…season I should say now. I do think that three girls with purple hair was bit much, a little variety would have been nicer in that aspect. But they made slightly difference in the twins color verses Kotomi’s. I also enjoyed how the main character boys were not drawn 2 feet taller and 5 years more mature than the girls. Some of the minor characters were (especially the sport males), but the main boys looked like typical high school boys: awkward and still growing. The school uniforms were drawn in a manner that allowed the girls to look desirable, but not downright skanky. Their eyes were pretty large, as it is in most animes, but they seem to shine with real emotions at moments, I was very overwhelmed at times!

One of the most moving things about the show were the moments when Tomoya cried. I can’t remember the last time I have seen a male cry that many times in an anime show, yet not come across as a cry baby. Those moments moved me almost to letting out the tears I was holding at bay. Sure the girls cried a lot too, but it was more moving when HE cried. Speaking as a girl, I know I cry a lot and sometimes over stupid stuff. But when this boy cried, it felt like it meant something and it conveyed that emotion strongly to me. Tomoya crying in front of other people didn’t make him any less of a man, it made him feel more real. Boys can cry too people!!! Don’t be afraid to express your true emotions men! I love how this sort of evened the playing field, not making girls look like weak people who cry all the time. Thank you Tomoya, your scenes were beyond touching.

If this doesn't move you, you have no soul!

Well Nagisa and Yukine, you are not dead mystery girl in some other universe. I was actually not quite sure to make of the Girl from the Illusionary World and her pal robot man. It turns out the only way to know what the other world is about is to play the game, as I had to search several websites to find out the answer. If you were just watching the anime with no prior knowledge to this series, there would be no way to fully understand what is going on. With the promise of season two on the horizon, perhaps that will give more answers than the first series. With my limited knowledge just based on the series, this other world almost would be a dream one of the characters is taking part in, had it not been for the fact that one person said that this sounded familiar. Sometimes it seems as if the other world could represent that lonely feelings the other characters are having. The lights in the other world appeared a few times in the real world, as if they were connected. The girl seems to be okay with being in this lonely world, as if she is knows the soul in the robot will eventually come. The scene with the robot building another robot was both sad and confusing. :( I am not sure his reason behind making another robot were, since he had the other girl as a friend. But it was sad watching the other robot get buried in the field. Of course, with the knowledge from the game, it is obvious what the robot was trying to do, but that information is not available in the show. I would wonder why we would have several episodes without the other world, and then it would come back with a little bit more information. The events in the real world are affecting the other world and it seems to do so in a positive way. I will admit, when Nagisa put on the play about the robot and the girl, I was a little upset that she might have made this whole scenario up in her head back when she was lonely with no friends. I wanted it to be deeper than oh, she had no friends and had to make up a world in her head she could go to. The truth about the other world is much better than that possibility, so play the game if you want to know the entire ending.

Photobucket
Sad robot man and the girl.

Kyou and Ryou have no real sad back story or past to make the viewer feel sorry for them. However, you get pretty early on in the series that Ryou never has a chance. I got the feeling that Tomoya knew she had feelings for him (considering all the blushing and stammering she did around him), but being a guy, he does not know how to convey that he's just not that into her. She really is a secondary character, despite the amount of air time she gets. Even thought her sister Kyou is trying to get other girls away from Tomoya so Ryou can have a chance, deep down, Kyou is in love with Tomoya too. Perhaps she is trying to deny her feelings at first and decides to put all her energy into helping Ryou out, but it still does not hide how she really feels. She is a loud, violent girl who constantly puts down Tomoya, but she loves him anyway. She was even willing to lose her virginity to him with no commitment AT ALL! (Of course, instead of mumbling about how slutty teenagers can be, I found the situation amusing instead). She put up a good fight at the breakfast/feeding Tomoya, but at the end of the episode, she and her sister realize that Tomoya has already chosen Nagisa to be his love. The twins crying was not as sad as other moments in the show, but I was glad they still continued to be his friend and help Nagisa out knowing they lost to her. The twins are there to provide a little love competition and comic relief.

Photobucket
See the great love between them?

Here, have some magical girl!

I actually did not find Fuko’s story the saddest, but she comes in a close second. She is in fact the ghost the students are talking about. I really do not know HOW her “ghostness” works, as she can touch people and objects, yet she becomes invisible after episode 9 except for a few key moments. So was she only visible because she was doing better in the hospital or is Tomoya just that special he can see ghosts? Whatever the reason, for the first few episodes, she was PURE crack. She is not the brightest crayon in the box with her juvenile antics and naive nature. Tomoya treats Fuko more like a younger sister rather than a serious love interest. Her obsession with starfish is almost scary and I did not quite get what makes a carved starfish appropriate for a wedding. The thought of having complete strangers at my wedding is also a scary thought. But Fuko is a real sweet heart and her story is touching, even Tomoya cries (his crying was almost the sadness part). The sad part of her story is that she knows she is somewhere else and that she might never come back. She is just working hard so her sister can move on. When all the kids started to forget Fuko, it tore at my heart. People knew that they were forgetting her and it caused them great distress. It felt so cruel for Nagisa and Tomoya to remember Fuko just to forget her again. She did leave a last impression however, as they seem to know her when she randomly shows up to help them…and fails big time. Hopefully we will see her walking around and being conscious in season two!

Photobucket
Have a star!!!

Photobucket
:( She can't see her!

Photobucket
Still trying to help her friends out..

My favorite girl was Tomoyo. I liked how she had a rough background, but was trying to make amends for it by being a better student. Her back story more typical I suppose than the others one, but her brother was very extreme in his decision to keep his family together. Instead of being angry at his bone head decision, she is trying to save the sakura trees he first saw after a stay in the hospital. She had a similar past of being a delinquent, so I think she related to Tomoya very well. She tried to encourage him to better person and motivates him. When she realizes that he has chosen Nagisa, she is sad like the twins, but is mature enough to keep a smile on her face. Her superhuman strength was usually used against Tomoya’s best friend, but Tomoya seems to encourage the beating up of his blond hair pal. I like Tomoyo during her own arc (sadly that was only one episode). She is the kind of girl we all would want to be/date: she is nice, smart, loving, and supportive. She wants to be with Tomoya, even when he declares he is not good enough for her. That last episode of the series was a real tear jerker. Their relationship, even though rushed into one episode, showed how Tomoya’s life would be with another girl and he seemed very happy. Not everyone is going to make it big in this world. Sometimes you will just work a simple 9-5 job and come home to simple town to be with your love one.

Photobucket
They make such a cute couple!

Look at that glance back!

Kotomi's back story is the saddest one. She had a nice family situation, even if she had no friends for a while. She met Tomoya due to a butterfly hunt and her life was looking a little brighter. An airplane crash killed both of her parents and she blamed herself, as her last words to her parents were of an angry child who wanted to spend her birthday with her family. In her grief, Kotomi decide to burn down her parent's study and destroy the paper about the hidden world, the reason why her parents left in the first place. Kotomi has been living under the assumption she has destroyed some important piece of paper all these years, that the world could be a better place had she not been so upset. Kotomi was socially awkward to begin with, but when Tomoya failed to show up to her birthday party, it seems to seal her fate as being a loner. Her past explained most of her weird mannerism, such as cutting up articles mentioning her parents, her inability to talk to her peers in a casual manner, and her great love of teddy bears. Her breakdown at the bus stop was quite moving and heartbreaking to watch. Unable to deal with the pain, Kotomi was going to run away from the house that brought her such sad memories. When Kotomi got that bear from her parents years after the fact, she realized they rather save her gift and make her happy than save that piece of paper (I am glad that their hidden world had nothing to do with this mystery world). It was a moment of sorrow, but it was also a moment of closure. Her tears seem to mean more, as she was first introduced as solely a studious and out there kind of character.

Photobucket
Their first meeting.

Her entire story is not all sad. She has some rather comic moments herself. When Tomoya is trying to get her attention in the library one day, instead of moving all at once like a normal person, Kotomi inches along on her knees and she reminded me a of a dog. It is hard to describe why that moment was hilarious to me, but I enjoyed it. Kotomi is social confused, as she is given tips on how to greet people and does not deviate from that phrase she is given. She later wants to learn how to pal around and get in comebacks with other people, but those mostly fail too. It was my own personal moment of WTF when Kotomi's turns out to like the violin (too much violin for me!!!) Although it wasn't explained why Kotomi plays so very VERY bad during the series, it was still amusing to watching people...die and explode from her playing. Her scenes with asking if everyone is a bully are amusing and slightly irrational at first, but it is still sad when you consider it might come from a misunderstanding with Tomoya missing her party.

Photobucket
This moment made me laugh :P

I find Tomoya's back story not as sad as the others. It is sad he lost his mother at such an early age, although that does not seem to be the source of his sadness. He is more upset at his father for dealing with his mother's death. It is sad to lose a spouse, but his father should have been able to deal with his personal pain and take care of his son. Tomoya has been hurt by his father in the past and is not really willing to give him a second chance. I understand where he is coming from, but at some point Tomoya has to realize that he is part of the problem too. If he wanted change, he could have stepped and tried. It is very sad he is labeled a delinquent because of his shoulder injury, but he could have joined other clubs and been involved in some other way. As he later learns, family does not mean just the people you are related to. Tomoya could have made his own family long ago. But perhaps he had to be in a low place to be open to new experiences. It was really sad when Tomoya made the decision to leave his house, as I think his father really does try because of him and without Tomoya, he might have given up a long time ago. :( Both men are guilty of putting their own pain before the other. It must have been so lonely for him when Tomoya left. Perhaps in the new season, this relationship can be repaired, as it was not on good terms in the movie either.

Photobucket
Such a liar :O

Photobucket
Tomoya saving the day!

Photobucket
See how romantic he is?!

Nagisa is the main girl of the story and she is the classic girl in need. She does not come across as annoying as some “helpless klutzy girls”, she comes across more genuine and understanding that she does need help. It is sad to be the only one in school, after all her friends have graduated. She wants to act, even if it is all by herself on the stage. She does not see Tomoya as this knight in shining armor all the time, she knows he can be mean and sarcastic, yet she cares for him anyway. She knows she imposes on people, but she cannot help it because of her condition. She is even feels responsible for “ruining” her parent’s dreams. She cries a lot and has small pity parties for herself, but I never felt annoyed with her. She truly is a light that drew everyone close to her. She is the kind of person you would want to help. All the girls were fighting for Tomoya, yet they still were willing to help out their rival. She manages to pull Tomoya out of his gloomy world and create her own little dango family. Without Nagisa, Tomoya would have never become a person who would go so far to help open a club, help a ghost girl find her own closure, and help a girl run for student council to save some trees. She loved Tomoya long before Tomoya released his own feelings and it was amusing watching her dad tease her about their relationship. She is weak in some areas and strong in others. I would have never had to courage to go on stage and perform by myself, but that was her plan the entire time. Sure she has some over sensitive moments, but all the girls suffer from that in this show. Watching her and Tomoya mature a little bit by just knowing each other was a treat to watch.

Photobucket
:( so sad..

Photobucket
AHH! A blinding love!

This show has a lot of sad moments, so to balance out these feelings they had to provide a lot of laughs. The biggest source of laughs throughout the show were the moments with Nagisa's family. The running joke is that Sanae, Nagisa's mother, can never make bread that tastes well and there are tons of leftovers at the end of the day (not recommended when one runs a bakery). Even though it is often Akio, her husband, often mentioning the fact her bread sucks, he runs after his wife in a dramatic way stating he loves her bread! Her father usually says something kind to Tomoya, then goes off on a crazy tirade about how Tomoya is a bad person based on HIS (Akio's) own comments. I found the potty training chair pure moments of funny crack. Her father came off as overbearing, but still likeable while the mother came off as ditzy, but caring. Sometimes her parents seem a little TOO trusting as they invite anyone to spend the night, but that usually leads to more moments of crack and further drives the point home of the big dongo family.

Photobucket
He often runs around like that...

Photobucket
For the record, Tomoya was not talking about toilets.

Photobucket
Why yes she is :)

Another source of crack for this show were the yaoi scenes. Now before you run off to find out all these scenes you apparently missed, it was the sarcastic yaoi scenes that never happened in which I am referring to. Tomoya lies a great deal of the time for some reason (of course his lies about it being 100 years in the future was great as well) and when he lies to Nagisa and says that Youhei is in love with him. Her love scenario was a great laugh and the confusion of the scene was grand. Tomoya also has a misunderstanding later with Mei's plan on romance which leads to a very odd yaoi scenario in his head (which I might add, was much better than the incest scenario that planned just prior to this). It was a great comic relief part of the show...and gave yaoi fans a little bit of material for their fanfictions. :)

Photobucket
He lies so well!

Photobucket
Much better than the incest scene!

Photobucket
Two boys, sharing their love on the beach!

There are some many other great things I could talk about with this show, but I think I have gone on quite a bit! This show was a very well done romance and coming of age type anime. Tomoya’s journey from a bitter young man to a person who brought all these people together was charming to watch. I would not pass it off as just another high school romance anime, it was much more than that. The next season of this show is set to air soon, so I watched Clannad just in time. Hopefully it answers more of the story of the other world and can show Tomoya’s relationships with the other girls in another light. Have a box of tissues at hand and tons of spare time, as this show will make you want to watch all 24 episodes straight.

Photobucket
The random Nintendo moments were amusing.

Photobucket
Fuko is so special.

Yes, he put that up her nose!

Code Geass R2 Episode 25 Re;

Photobucket
ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!

Is he or isn’t he?! That is the biggest question that has hit the forums since the release of Episode 25.
Major spoilers for the end of the series

Photobucket
Something is up...

I am in the he isn’t camp. Lelouch can’t be dead. The major reason he can’t be dead is because I don’t want him to be dead. But there are other reasons that have been listed at length by other people.

-Lelouch is a mastermind and has things planned out WAY in advance. Him telling Schneizel to obey ZERO and not Lelouch was a sign that Lelouch had everything mapped out. If he had everything mapped out that far in advance, why is it out of the realm of possibilities that he planned a way to “die” and still be alive?
-Jeremiah is in on the plot. Now call me crazy, but someone who has devoted that much to a man would not go along with a plan to allow his master to die. He smirked twice, once after Zero jumped on him and once AFTER Lelouch died. That is not really a time to be smiling.
-Nunnally saw his memories. We all know she has the magical power to tell if people are lying when she touches them and some people assume THAT is what happened. I tend to believe Lelouch now has the ability to pass on his memory like C.C. does. To show how Nunnally’s power works now would only be too convenient and kind of lame fall back to explain the situation.
-C.C was happy at the end. She and Lelouch made a promise and I am sure that promise was for him to live. She had been trying to keep him alive for the past 50 episodes, why would she be so happy at the end. Some people assume she is happy because Lelouch “took” her code and gave it to Suzaku, thus granting her wish to be able to die.
-The wagon driver face was covered up. If this was just a normal person, why not show his face? There was a shot panning up the side of the wagon, focusing on the side of his head. If he is a plain old nobody, who cares about him? Of course, the idea of Lelouch driving a wagon is pretty amusing…
-C.C talking to Lelouch at the end of the episode. She says “Geass is the power of kings, it will isolate you… well, I guess that’s a little wrong… eh, Lelouch” She is stating that the power of the geass always ends with the person being miserable and alone..but corrects herself and says that is a little wrong. That has to mean Lelouch is alive or it makes no sense. If he is really dead, he would be isolated and so would she, so what is the little wrong part of that statement? She tipped her head to refer to the driver, not to the sky. The “little wrong” is that yes, Lelouch and C.C. are isolate, but they have each other to be with.
-Some people think the crane means Lelouch is alive due to Nunnally showing Lelouch how to make them. I see the crane as the promise of a peaceful work coming together.
- There are some who think Charles punishes Lelouch by giving him his Code/immortality to live in a world Schneizel creates. To me that only makes sense as Charles had to pass on his code to someone and he was only near Lelouch when that happened.

Photobucket
Is that Lelouch?!

Some people can’t get passed the fact the Code Geass is NOT THE NEXT DEATH NOTE! (It is also annoying since Death Note is not the first anime series to have the main character to die; stop acting like this is a new concept people). People assume that to make a great anime ending, the hero turned villain but really a hero HAS TO DIE. Um, no. It does not make Lelouch’s sacrifices less meaningful if he is really dead or not. To 99.99999999 percent of the world, he is dead. At most, three people know he is alive. His name is going down in history as the Demon Emperor. He really has to be dead in the sense he will never be with all his loved ones ever again and he will have to remain in hiding the rest of his days. That is a death in a different sense, but still a death. People who say that his act is cheapen by actually being alive are can’t think outside the box.

Photobucket
Besides, does Death Note has awesome chase scenes like this?!

So, do I think the anime ended well? Yes and no.
-Nunnally was annoying until the very end. She thinks she is being the container of evil by having control of the Damocles, but she only is messing things up. She tries to play the sympathy card and says that Lelouch cannot Geass her. Her chasing after him in her wheelchair was comical. Nunnally also had the weirdest reaction when Lelouch is stabbed and falls off the platform. She sort of seems okay with it until she touches him, she was way too calm. She almost talks to him in a casual way, leaning over him. Then she cries extremely loud while everyone else is having a party. I almost felt bad for her, but then I felt bad for the people she was “ruling” over. How stupid is that, considering Cornelia is still alive. Whoever left her in charge took a heavy hit from the idiot branch.

Photobucket
UNGRATEFUL TWIT!!!

Photobucket
:( i just want to hurt her a little...

Photobucket
Doesn't that look too calm?!

Photobucket
Dear Lord who left these two people in charge...

-Nina LIVED!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! What have I done to deserve this fate?! She was responsible for so many deaths. :( Nina is not allowed to be happy.
-Suzaku lived and I am quite happy with that. Despite the fact he STARTED this whole entire problem, he tried to fix it in his own special stupid way. I am sure the only reason he agreed to aid Lelouch was the promising of killing him at the end, for Euphemia. I think after time went on and he saw that Lelouch was not a bad guy, he felt bad about the promise he made. Oh and I did not believe for one minute that Suzaku actually died (YAY FOR AUTHUR THOUGH). Now I guess he can be happy serving as a symbol of peace, something he wanted from day one. Serving to push Nunnally around in her wheelchair is a bit much of a punishment though.

Photobucket
:( This makes me so sad...

-Diethard didn’t die?! WTF!!! See, no one can die in this anime who is truly important, more proof that Lelouch is alive. Perhaps his fate worse than death is he has to marry Nina.
-None of Black Knights were punished for their deeds. In fact, besides Kallen, they now are free to believe they were tricked by a false Zero all along and that they did the right thing. Kallen got what was going on AT THE LAST MINUTE! She really should have had more faith in her friend’s Lelouch and Suzaku. I also am not keen on Kallen living a carefree school girl life, given all that she has been through. It seems to me she should have joined a protective force or something…although I suppose they went that route so we could see the pictures on the wall (HOW IS DIETHARD NOT DEAD!!) In the end, the Black Knights get to live with the fact they were heroes and Zero really did not betray them.
-I enjoyed how Cornelia led the resistances…after Lelouch was killed. It was an anticlimactic thing for her to do. Cornelia is also a reason I think Lelouch is still alive, look how many times she was maimed and she came back fighting. While I am amused at the fact Schneizel is still a slave to Zero, I think Cornelia should have stepped up and served the people.

Photobucket
You better think about what you did!

Part of the show that was annoying was the massive amount of scene changes/connecting dialogue part. Yes, it has been done before, but it was annoying. We already know you are fighting and we all known you have something you must do. I rather it had focused on one battle/scene at a time rather than trying to give me a seizure.

Photobucket
To the bitter end...

While I think Lelouch had other options, I respect his way of thinking. He truly wanted to make the world a better place by uniting the world under one threat of evil. One could argue that Charles did the exact same thing, but Lelouch ended that family’s hold on the world. Lelouch wanted to take over the world and give it to the people. Not too many “villains” can say they did that. While it is a shame Lelouch could not expose what his father’s plan was and saved his own legacy, he did manage to get everyone to stop blowing each other out of the sky and work together to solve real problems in the world. So NO death note tards, Light and Lelouch are NOTHING alike. Light wanted to judge all of the people and decide what is right and wrong while Lelouch was fighting for people to have a tomorrow. Lelouch’s plan ACTUALLY WORKED unlike Light. And Lelouch went into this final plan willing to be painted the villain whereas Light wanted to be a god.

Photobucket
Poor Suzaku!

I actually do feel very bad for Suzaku. While I think that Lelouch is alive, I do not think Suzaku was in on the plan. Now he has to live with the fact he has killed his father and his best friend. He also has to pretend to be the person who killed Euphemia. He has to be Zero, he can never be himself. He has to pretend he died a hero and live in Lelouch’s footsteps for the rest of his life. His happy ending will probably not include a romantic interest (Kallen is always an option as she knows what really did happen and of course Nunnally, but I am mad at them both so they can rot in hell as virgins for all I care). He had devoted his life to Britannia to make up for his father’s death and now he is still repaying that debt.

Photobucket
An epic death on the battle field would have been better..

I found the death count rather low for this episode. Li Xingke should have died in a blaze of glory so he could be remembered as a war hero. Gino also should have died to save Kallen, which sent her in a rage against Suzaku. But since there were SO MANY other character death’s (and resurrection) throughout the show, perhaps the last episode was meant to focus on Lelouch’s sacrifice instead of other people’s. But I did enjoy the orange irony at the end (but why did Anya hook up with him anyway?!)

Photobucket
MMMM oranges...

With the ending of an anime series, you usually feel sad that it is over. With this series, it ended well. I say it ended well because people are going to talk about it for a long time, whether or not Lelouch is still alive. They left enough clues to prove he is alive, but there are also reasons why he has to be dead. A good show keeps people guessing and talking about it long after it is over. A good show leaves the audience hoping for a movie or an OVA to prove THEIR side is right and to prolong the show they love. For me, Code Geass was a very enjoyable show. It had a mix of every genre. I even enjoyed the mecha part of the show. I felt bad for some characters who died (poor rolo!!!) and laughed when others got their just desserts (yeah, you sucked Shirley). I felt frustrated when Lelouch decided to take on all the hatred into himself and I was pissed off at how people would turn on each other. I waited by the computer waiting for the latest subs. I wouldn’t go as far as SOME fans and say that with the end of this show, there are no decent animes out there. But this show was very good, reaching a large audience. I am sad it ended and will hope for a movie…just to prove that Lelouch is alive hehehe. But it ended on a good note, no unnecessary fillers and major plot holes. They managed to make Lelouch a real hero and not some evil dictator. They kept the action going at a good pace and the plot was fresh and unique. Code Geass is on the must watch list when I refer people to anime now. Thanks for the great ride Code Geass, it was fun.

Shugo Chara Episode 49

Photobucket
Oh look, another violin...

This week should be renamed violin week or something. Between Corda, Clannad, and this episode of Shugo Chara, I am about ready to scream if I see another violin!! :O Surely there must be another popular instrument out there or something! But at any rate, episode 49 of Shugo Chara has been subbed, YAY!!!
Slight spoilers ahead

Photobucket
THEY ARE MULTIPLY!!!!

This episode was half filler/half good content for me. It reminded me of the good old days of Sailor Moon when Usagi would make friends for one episode and then they would get attacked by the monster of the week. So I really did not care much for violin girl, although I want to know why her Chara was of a violin PLAYER and not maker…. This violin maker girl did go kinda postal easily when she split tea on the violin, but what do I know about making them? I only know that you have to play them with your heart after all! :O

Photobucket
The singing moment was cute.

I am getting sort of impatient finding out what Ikuto’s reason is for finding the Embryo. :( I need funds to buy the mangas, since I have banned myself from reading manga online! (stealing isn’t right…hahaha). It is odd to be 49 episodes into a series and not know a character’s motive you have known from day one, but I guess that keeps us coming back for more. He isn’t angsting all over the place about this issue, so it is not annoying to watch.

Photobucket
This is me...living in fear...

EASTER is not really coming across as a scary organization I fear losing my egg from. The three scientists they have left seem kind of moronic and are not very…evil? Their machine was not scary at all and failed in the end. Sure all of EASTER has failed so far, but they failed in an epic kind of way. I want to see a real enemy show up, but we might have to wait until after all the fillers are over.

Photobucket
:( Why couldn't Dia come out for a character change?!

Amu is at her best when she is not surrounded by so many other people. When it is just her and the friend of the week and maybe one love interest, she seems to shine more. I always have enjoyed Amu’s attitude during the fight scenes. She uplifts people with no B.S., she tells them straight up they need to suck it up and deal with their problem. Of course, she can’t apply that logic to her own life, but who can? She tries hard to protect other people’s dreams while still being confused herself. I enjoy her as a heroine.

Photobucket
His school uniform is really nice.

Episode 51 came out the other day in Japan, so this author is…patiently waiting for the other two. :) I am excited about the new series, I am getting a little tired of the fillers. However, 49 was a much better filler than some of the recent ones. Here is hoping series two will start off with some real action.

Thanks for reading.
