Hello there my lovely readers! A bit waterlogged from the rain tonight. Rain+the sun going down at 6=hard to deliver pizzas. But I have survived another night. I shall reward myself with ice cream.
Merry Christmas!!!!
But before I go and find the scoop have an anime post! Sidenote the momager actually used the word anime tonight at work, it was weird. XD Up now is Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 10. Spoilers for chicken cause it's Christmas dudes!
A romantic love triangle indeed.
Episode Summary: Shizuku starts finding little invitations in her locker/bags at school. She corners Asako who says the Christmas Party invite is from her surprise! Shizuku doesn't look very amused but goes along with Haru and Asako to buy party stuff. They walk to “KFC” because it isn't Christmas without some chicken. While walking Haru acts like an insane and rabid dog when anyone looks at Shizuku or if people exist in the same space as Shizuku. The girls worry and Shizuku thinks well it has been a month since the school festival. When they get to the store Kenji and his friends are there hanging out. They see Asako and decide to invite themselves to the party. Haru walks over to Kenji and says he is not invited. Kenji was about ready to say he didn't want to go but Haru pisses him off. Haru says he is not invited since Kenji confessed to being in love with Shizuku. Asako is like WHAT while everyone including Kenji laughs it off. Kenji secretly wants to kill Haru but with Shizuku watching he tries to play it cool. They all make it over the Misawa's batting cage where Asako gets weird when she sees Misawa. The other boys are worried because Misawa threatened to crack some skulls when they were cruel to Haru. At school Shusei was getting ready to leave to go to the party when he sees Chizuru. He asks if she is coming and she replies she thought it was a joke/prank. She says that it probably would be best if she didn't go but she ends up at the batting cage anywhere.
So....do something about it?
When Chizuru gets there Asako is crying over cake, Shizuku is studying, the boys are being rough, and more mayhem. Asako is thrilled to see Chizuru and those girls start bonding. Misawa comments to Shusei that Asako is acting weird around him. Shusei seems to get upset that he lost and walks away from that comment. Kenji ends up spending a minute alone with Shizuku in which she thanks him for his advice and basically he wants to melt into the floor. Asako takes Kenji aside and says not to mess up the magic that is Haru and Shizuku. Kenji says that he isn't and look there is Chizuru, someone else trying to mess things up. Asako messes up her words but tries to say that Chizuru is a good girl. Haru and Kenji end up alone on the stairs where they talk about Haru. Kenji decides to make things unnecessarily hard and Haru looks like he is going to push Kenji off the stairs. Shizuku walks by and Haru decides to take her home instead leaving Kenji all X____X. While walking Shizuku realizes that she was going to talk to Haru before her winter cram school. Haru had earlier gotten upset about that issue but Shizuku wants to talk about how she feels about Haru. She tells him not to worry that she is going to the same cram school as Kenji because she loves Haru and she is a loyal person. It gets all sparkly for a second until Haru is like...so you aren't going to the cram school? Shizuku goes and Kenji rubs it in. Shizuku tries to put Haru in his place, saying he doesn't tell her what to do. THE END!
Yelling doesn't count as violence in this show or else....you know it would be every episode.
Another episode without any violence? Haru almost had a lapse. A serious one. But there was no girl on boy who likes girl violence. Ah romance. Such a silly thing.
EFF YOU SURPRISES!!!
I love Asako. I really do. I feel bad that she hasn't had any real friends her whole life just because how she looks. She is cute! Boys like cute girls. Of course I do see why other girls might feel the way they do. All the boys like one girl which leaves them out in the dust. Sadness for all as Asako probably loves having Shizuku in her life more than a boyfriend. But the other girls were probably reasonably hurt and avoided Asako.
Poor Asako. She is desperate for friends.
That is why I thought the Christmas Party was a cute idea. I think it is silly that Shizuku thinks that Asako is the weird one in their group. More like Asako is trying her hardest to be normal. That might make her come across weird. But who doesn't want a Christmas Party? A little chicken, a piece of cake, and some games? Sounds like a good time to me. It probably made the party more fun anyway because everyone was special. So Asako being all secretive about the party...come on Shizuku, let her have her moment.
Haru being a freak. Or normal for him.
Haru was acting like a freak this episode. He is usually accused of being one but this time....he looked like some crazy and obvious villain from some kids show. Pointy teeth indeed. What the hell was he trying to accomplish? Because one guy sorta implies he likes Shizuku the general public is out to steal a girlfriend that isn't yours yet? I think his actions were insane and probably could have pushed Shizuku away from him. She doesn't want to be associated with crazy. That or maybe some guy would have said HEY that girl needs rescuing and I shall be the one to do it! Was Haru raised in a box?
Um...yeah what did you just say?
However....when he just flat out announced why Kenji wasn't invited to the party I was like X___X. Just like everyone else in the room. I am pretty sure Asako was the most upset person in the room and everyone else was just shocked. Shocked that Haru would make up such a thing or actually say it. Like...it was an awkward thing to say AND Haru made a mistake. If he was thinking in a calculating Yoshino way he would have held it over Kenji's head like blackmail. But NOOO he just has to scream it out because he is a crazy person.
Behold your friends!!!!!
I thought the Christmas Party was a little odd. But given how special this group is that is understandable. And when I think about it the best times I have had with my friends are the ones where things happened unexpectedly. Now eating a cake before it is time is a big no no...but everything else was pretty fun. You did good Asako. At least I think you did. XD
I love random love sparkles.
The whole Asako, Misawa, and Shusei love triangle is a bit odd. Mainly because Shusei hasn't done anything yet to make it a triangle. Misawa is an older dude who seems cool and he came to Asako's rescue. I think that might be the big drawing point. That and Asako can't be accused of stealing Misawa away from anyone since he is not in high school. She wants a break from being the man stealer and what not. Which she really isn't but you know.
Hit him with the pool stick!
Shusei sorta irritated me. Asako was being clumsy and Misawa had no idea why she was acting like that. Shusei acted a little jealous like MAN guess I missed out on that....time to play video games. Like how can he be jealous of someone he never tried to date and then dismiss it like it didn't matter? Maybe he was dismissive because he was really hurt but it made me want to stab him in the face. I like stabbing folks. He needs to step up if he wants to date Asako. She is so busy trying to protect Haru and Shizuku she needs a big sign from Shusei. DO SOMETHING!
Thanks for helping my self esteem.
Speaking of Asako protecting Shizuku...how funny was it when Kenji called out Chizuru in front of Asako? Like Asako was trying to play watch dog over Shizuku and Kenji is like what about that girl, she done CONFESSED to Haru. Then it became a hot mess of Asako implying Chizuru doesn't have a chance and Chizuru trying to melt into the floor. I know it shouldn't have been funny but it was.
I mean...I know Kenji shouldn't have touched Asako but damn.
Haru and Kenji interacting was....well...uncomfortable. Was Haru really going to push him off the stairs? I know he likes Shizuku but other people will look at her in life and he needs to get used to that. Kenji might have been a brat/stirring the pot but pushing him off the stairs? I think it startled Kenji too. Maybe you should pick him Shizuku.
This happy moment will last about 30 seconds. Savor it.
But she didn't. On the way home from the Christmas party she confessed to Haru for like the third time and it was sparkly and what not. Or it was for a minute until Haru decided that he needed to be jealous and possessive and tell Shizuku what to do. Can't we just have one romantic moment folks? Haru trying to throw people off the roof and then telling Shizuku what to do....le sigh.
So much love!
I do like that Shizuku doesn't cave in and do what Haru wants. She is her own person. She can be in love but remain her own person. I am not sure what a romance with Haru will be like. She still wants to study all the time and what not. Basically has anything changed? She studies at Christmas parties and Haru is still a freak. X___X This group is so special folks.
