Woe is me! :( Apparently I am still sad that the Olympics are over. Maybe I will do a recap post (Tenchi style of course) as a way to get over things. XD It just seems like nothing but my crappy reality shows are on TV and until The Walking Dead returns I have nothing really to watch. XO Am I bored of reality TV after watching athletics on my screen for the past two weeks?
In any event I watched this episode...Thursday. That is how much of a slacker I have been! So lets get to it! Spoilers for girls having fun and my spell check giving up halfway though the post. X__X
Episode Summary: Instead of Akari opening up the show Mirakurun, the magical girl Kyoko is obsessed with, shows up and does the honor. The opening credits are of Mirakurun and Rivakun doing normal school stuff and then battling in their alter ego form. Mirakurun and Rivakun are in gym class throwing the ball around when suddenly all the balls disappear. Mirakurun is like MOG the baddies must be behind this…as Rivakun runs away. She meets up with Ganbo and he explains without balls people cannot play sports and during that chaos they can take over the world. Mirakurun shows up and a battle ensues. Mirakurun is attacked by all the missing balls and she destroys them at the same time crying over them. After all is said and done Mirakurun and Rivakun let the balls of the world rest as they use Ganbo as a bowling ball. Then it turns out all the nonsense we just watched was a fan episode made by Kyoko. She and the other Amusement Club members are at Comiket again. Well Kyoko and Yui again as Akari and Chinatsu didn’t come last year.
Yui tells the girls how Ayano was practically forced into going to the trip last year and how awful Kyoko was to her. This is why Ayano is not on the trip this year. Well little do the girls know that Ayano is waiting by the phone for Kyoko to call. She is ready to help out this year and will be amazing at it. Spoiler alert: The phone call never occurs. Chinatsu and Akari are weirded out by this new world and how Kyoko connects to it. Chitose randomly shows up and everyone worries about her nose. After Kyoko sells out of her manga she and the other girls don their Mirakurun outfits but people aren’t that excited about them. Chinatsu even goes as far as to…well not be very Mirakurun in her outfit and scares young girls. Ayano is invited to help Kyoko to help carry all her new books home so Ayano should be happy yes? After all that drama the girls get together to be tortured by Kyoko and her box of topics. Kyoko ends up making a snack for herself because Yui says no and Chinatsu has to talk sexy. Oh and then there is the topic of blood types. YAWN!!! Chinatsu and Akari go home and Kyoko is like let me copy your homework now Yui. Yay friendships! THE END!
An episode where there is tons of cohesion? Do my eyes deceive me? Could this really be Yuru Yuri? Or maybe I have stopped being cynical about this show and accepted it for what it is: mindless fun.
This episode Kyoko drags her friends to Comiket again. I think that I liked this event last season better. It just felt new and exciting and it was fun seeing everyone being tortured. But maybe I have no idea what I am talking about as I forgot that Chinatsu and Akari didn’t go on the trip last time. XD My opinion is invalid.
Ayano is a very tortured soul is she not? Last year she was tortured with costumes and Kyoko’s antics yet she put up with it all for love. This year she was ready for action yet…the call never came. Her eyes nearly melted out of her head and she looked like a zombie but Ayano was forgotten. Well until Kyoko needed a pack mule.
Instead Chinatsu and Akari got to be slaves for a day. I say day before Kyoko sold out rather quickly. X__X Like it appeared to me Kyoko sold out before lunch time and spent the rest of the convention having fun, taking pictures, and seeing old friends. Me thinks that money is not the main goal for Kyoko. XD Silly girl, always wanting to have fun.
Perhaps the reason why Kyoko didn’t have many mangas to sell is that she spent so much time making an anime. Like…I guess I can wrap my mind on Kyoko being able to buy the materials to make a manga. But an anime? How the heck did she pull this off? If Kyoko can make an anime anyone can and DVDs shouldn’t cost that much. See how I can apply that to things costing so much?
So what did I think of the anime episode of Mirakurun that really took a big part of this Yuru Yuri episode? I really couldn’t tell that it was a Kyoko’s creation and not the real deal. Probably because the real deal of Mirakurun is still insane. Magical girls on crack that doesn’t involve them dying of course. All the balls of the world unite! A proper episode to air during the Olympics. I thought Kyoko did a good job in making a proper Mirakurun episode and I hate Ganbo because he is creepy looking.
Chitose showing up at Comiket…wasn’t very interesting. Actually it probably made Ayano feel bad that she was left out. Chitose is a one trick pony after all. Through anime magic she is able to function and doesn’t spend her entire life in a hospital due to massive amounts of blood loss. So Chitose….enjoy your mangas and have tissues on hand.
Chinatsu ruining the image of a popular magical girl…well was magical. XD Fun even. Sorta like when Santa is caught smoking in the parking lot. All the hopes and dreams of young girls everywhere were smashed on the ground. Rejoice the masses. This is what happens when cosplay goes wrong folks. I am amused. XD
After Kyoko and gang return from their summer retreat they get together for one more get together before they have to go back to school. Because you know how they suffer so much while they are in school. They never have any fun at all these poor girls.
Thank goodness summer came around so they could take a much needed break.
So what did Kyoko have planned for this little get together? Well besides copying someone’s homework. That was probably the main reason. But Kyoko has brought back the magical box of….everythingness. Most of the topics were weird and Akari had to suffer…again because that is what she does. But fun was had and no one died so I guess it was all in fun? I notice these girls never talk about boys though…wonder why that is.
In conclusion the fun part of the episode was obviously the beginning and the stuff after Comiket was…well boring. XD Sometimes they get a little insane with their normal conversations but I think the heat was frying their brains or something. Also it is hard to top all the balls of the world running away and turning on people right? XD Until next time! How will we get through the day without the pink box of questions though?!

Imagine seeing Chitose enjoying herself at Comuket and reacting "cAn yOu jUsT lEaVe bEcAuSe yOu aRe iNsAne"
Do you even know you're a YRYR fan? How can anyone so casually be a c*nt to the girls?
"omg I'm scared ganbo is creepy"
Yeah, the problem is inside *your* head.
