Yuru Yuri Season Two episode 5

Hell there my lovely readers! Today I partook (is that spelled right?!) in my own Olympic sport. It is called Grocery Weightlifting! See due to my insane neighbors I have to park a bit away from my house in fear of them going crazy again. And since I am a couch potato I have basically no arm strength at all. So back and forth I went up and down the stairs. Because waiting until my husband came home to do a month’s worth of grocery shopping is silly! Silly I say! I got to stock up for the zombie apocalypse now!

Oh look it is a happy Chinatsu...
Luckily my hands still work. Type little fingers type. There are shows to be blogged. Like the crazy anime called Yuru Yuri. Season Two has proved to be special so far…just like Season One. So I guess everything is the same. XD Spoilers for summer heat and swimming days!

Just turn on the AC!!!! :(
Episode Summary: It is summer vacation and Kyoko is slowly melting to death. Instead of turning on the AC like a normal person she decides she is going to wait until she passes out to take a shower and turn on the AC afterwards. Because the first AC turning on of the year is a big deal folks. And maybe it would have been magical had the AC remote had batteries in it. Kyoko then braves the heat in search of batteries. Only along the way she stops by Yui’s, Chinatsu’s, and Akari’s. Yui gives her much needed food and AC. Chinatsu gives her a hard time and a fan. Akari gives her refreshments and entertainment in the form of Akari almost being eaten by a bug. Kyoko eventually makes it to the store but upon returning home realizes she bought the wrong battery size. Woe is her. Sometime in the future all the girls decide to go to the pool. Akari and her special doesn’t make it to the station in time and has to wait forever for the next ride. She talks to herself about how sad this all is and that she is missing all the fun. She is attacked by bugs again, is tricked by the vending machine, and greatly disappointed by a melted candy bar. Her only attempt at amusement through silly cellphone picks leaves her being left behind again! :( Woe is her.

Sometime in the future Yui finds herself home with a cold. She takes a nap and has a scary dream about everyone being video game characters. She wakes up and Kyoko has made her way over to check on her sick friend. Despite being Kyoko she is able to cheer up Yui even if another nap is out of the question. Sometime later ( XD) Sakurako goes over to visit Himawari and her huge boobies. Only the tiny sister Kaede is home and makes the mature observation that Sakurako will probably never grow boobies. Himawari returns from her trip to the store and Sakurako demands to be entertained. They end up wandering around since Sakurako never had a plan to begin with. They find Akari who looks like wants to spend a quiet day doing nothing. Sakurako goes out of her way to make sure Akari is tortured by birds and runs home. Kaede serves the girls drinks after their adventures in teasing Akari and serves Sakurako milk so she can grow boobies. Akari ends the scene with her running away from the birds who are trying to eat the crackers in her hair. THE END!!!

So much melting, so little time. AH SUMMER! Since I live in Florida I feel as if I can relate to this episode. Especially since my boss thinks things like fixing the AC rank low on his list of things to do. Spoiler alert: It’s not!!!!

Kyoko's life is over!!!
Don’t you hate it when you need a tiny little item yet it slipped through the cracks on every shopping trip before that moment? Like noooooo why didn’t I buy replacement batteries when I went to the store?! Since this is Kyoko we are talking about I am sure she was like crap need batteries for my clock, I will just take them out of the AC remote since it’s so cold outside. I won’t need them for months! Well….since Kyoko is Kyoko she probably forgot 5 seconds after the fact. Knowing Kyoko she probably tried to steal batteries from the TV remote or something before she got yelled at to get to the store.

What...what does that mean? X__X Sausage is meat!
I thought Kyoko was rather special in her trip to the store though. It would have made more sense if Kyoko stopped by people’s home on the way to the store, as 5 minutes in the heat was way too much for her. But again this is Kyoko….so she stopped at places that were out of the way and made her trip way longer than it had to be. XD Oh Kyoko…so melty.

At least Akari is entertaining when she is suffering?
Which stop on this long adventure did I like the most? Chinatsu was just a brat…like usual. She really doesn’t add much to the show but bad attitude yes? Chinatsu stopping by Yui’s was a strategic move as she was low on food. Yui is used to Kyoko’s antics so she took it all in stride. So I guess Akari wins! Look Akari you win something! You were probably happy someone was paying attention to you and you were nearly killed by a bug. Which would have happened whether or not Kyoko was there. I thought Kyoko was going to run around and smash things in an attempt to kill the bug though….

DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE DOORWAY TO STOP IT! DO NOT ATTEMPT THAT!
Next on the list is Akari talking to herself. Yes folks Akari spent about 8 minutes talking to herself in this episode. Poor Akari indeed. When the husband and I went to Japan we never took the bus, we also took the metro. But since we spent time in Kyoto and Tokyo it seemed that buses and metros came very often. Since the previews for next week say the girls haven’t been to Tokyo is a year I am going to assume they live on the suburbs “surrounding” the city. Not a tiny town but apparently slow enough that buses/trains didn’t come that often. THAT I would understand running to! Not this silly running in Tokyo when the next train is coming in 2 minutes!

Kill the bugs!!!
So since Akari missed the transportation and she had only herself to communicate with…..yeah it got a bit silly. And boring. But I am sure I am like that too! In fact I know I am like that. Of course I talk to cat and not myself. I don’t know if that is a step up or step below though. But yes lala get a drink oh snap it is the wrong one. I will eat some chips. Oh no a bug! Let me text my friends. Nothing really amazing but really…a slice of life. The basic slice of life too. Not butter for you!

No pool for Akari? :(
Although I thought this whole thing was going to end with Akari just making it to the pool in time to see the other girls leaving and the center closing. We didn’t SEE that happen as Akari missed another bus but I wonder if it was implied. If so…poor Akari. So much drama with the bugs, the wrong drink, and the wind trying to steal her coupon. If she spent all that time on a bus alone to find out she didn’t get to the go to the pool at all…well that is just too cruel :( I know it is the running gag to be mean to Akari but there has to be a limit right?!

Yay for video game dreams. XD
Yui living on her own still bugs me. Crazy parents. Just because Yui is the most responsible kid on the face of the planet doesn’t mean anything. Kids still need their parents! Especially when they are sick. Of course she just was a bit under the weather…but still! Kyoko coming over to save the day?! My mind was almost blown out of my head! And I need my mind to go on adventures later this year. Please do not be snatching it out of my head Yuru Yuri!

Best friends forever even if they drive you crazy!
But it is scenes like this that show the viewers why Kyoko and Yui are friends. Because all other evidence points to Yui being stupid for putting up with all this crap. Like um she is constantly driving you crazy and being inconsiderate. She does seem like a lot of fun and came right over even though Yui was only slightly sick. So…maybe their friendship makes sense and it just isn’t Yui being walked all over. Everyone needs a crazy friend right?

Down with boobies!!!!
The last portion of the episode focused on Sakurako and Himawari. Oh and the tiny sister Kaede. The topic of course has to be boobies. Boobies all over the place. We get it Sakurako. You are jealous and want some boobies. Even Himawari’s little sister Kaede knows this. Dear lord. Are big boobies that great? XD I am sure she wouldn’t like it if someone was jealous of her and swatted her boobies all the time too.

They were really, really bored....
Sakurako really didn’t have a plan of action for the day. This almost bordered on boring. Good thing they ran into Akari or the entire trip might have been a bust. I say that and all they really did was pick on poor Akari. All the critters of the world were attacking her. :( So sad.
Photobucket
Maybe Akari should wear a helmet and ever leave home....
So in conclusion this episode was about the heat of summer and cute girls being bored during their summer vacations. XD What is wrong with them? Don’t they know this is the time to have fun and go on adventures? Well I guess they did try…but when you are using limited AC perhaps all the energy has been zapped out of you and there is momentum for fun. I know I am tired after watching this episode. XD Time for ice cream?
