Accel World episode 13

SO TIRED! Do normal people usually get up at 8 am and function all day long? If so…nope not for me. Although I did get a lot accomplished today. And I do like getting things accomplished. But at 8 am?! Is that why people usually go to bed at 10 or 11? Just insanity.

I wasn't lying about the sparkles!

But despite the fact that everything is falling apart at work I am still up and running! So it is blogging time yes? Accel World episode 13 time yay! Spoilers for sparkles and cheating woohoo! Also spoilers for Tenchi using whatever words she wants to describe the game and the players in it. XD

Then why are you installing the game in her?

Episode Summary: Haruyuki is looking a bit uncomfortable and for good reason. Chiyuri has direct linked with Takumu and Haruyuki but chose to give Haruyuki the shorter cable. She is direct linked to both in case Takumu’s installation of Accel World doesn’t work. Both boy worry about what will happen if it DOES work and somehow Chiyuri changes. Chiyuri insists she is going to show the boys that games should be fun. The game installs successfully woohoo! Later that night Haruyuki has a dream about his bully and he worried about going up a grade as that means a class change. Chiyuri contacts Haruyuki as she sees he is still up and they log on. Chiyuri has gotten more storage pace as a grade up present and it is full of pillows. But that is not the important issue Chiyuri is having. She is afraid to go to sleep as the first time you dream after installing Accel World it will decide your avatar. Nice to know. Haruyuki tells her it will be okay and not to worry. Chiyuri uses Haruyuki as a pillow and talks about how she wants it to be like the good old days, when all three of them were together. She falls asleep leaving Haruyuki wondering about the future.

And then I filled it with pillows!

The next day at school Haruyuki nervously enters the classroom….and sees both Takumu and Chiyuri! Haruyuki cries tears of joy and they are quickly ushered into the opening ceremony before they can celebrate. Kuroyuki is one of the speakers and Haruyuki is impressed by her cool demeanor. She gets flustered for a moment and Haruyuki catches on fast. Later in the day Takumu and Haruyuki talk about how Kuroyuki might have detected another Brain Burster. Before they Accelerate Chiyuri reminds them they are in this together now and not to leave her behind. They all log in and Haruyuki challenges Chiyuri right away to protect her. Chiyuri’s avater is super cute, like some deranged looking flower. She isn’t really impressed with Haruyuki’s but likes Takumu’s. Takumu notes there are no other Brain Bursters online besides them. Seeing how that is a bust the attention is turned to Chiyuri who is eager to beat something up. Haruyuki is not so eager as Takumu volunteers Chiyuri to practice on Mr. Silver Crow. Chiyuri does a few things to get her ultimate attack up but when she uses it the room just sparkles. Chiyuri gets frustrated and beats on Haruyuki for a little while and does her ultimate attack again. This time the sparkles actually do something…heals Haruyuki. Chiyuri is a healer!?

I shall teach you as I am your Guardian and know much about the game. OH WAIT!

Haruyuki learns later from Kuroyuki that this a big deal. In the entire history of the game only two healers have been created. One left the game due to pressure and one is a King. That means Chiyuri would be scouted til the end of time. Kuroyuki doesn’t want to talk about the healing type King as it is a touchy subject and Haruyuki belongs to her. Kuroyuki notes that she needs to talk to Chiyuri about joining their legion…after her class trip. That lasts 10 days. Haruyuki is sad but Kuroyuki promises him a wish when she returns. Haruyuki goes into lalala mode at the thought of a wish and sorta collapses. An underclassmen helps him up but immediately washes his hands after the encounter. Takumu and Chiyuri talk later, about her joining Kuroyuki’s legion. Chiyuri seems jealous but is focused on making things like they used to be. Some time later Haruyuki and Chiyuri are cheering on Takumu at his kendo match. He is no longer using his Accel powers thus it is a fair match. He does pretty well until he goes up again the underclassman that Haruyuki saw earlier. The boy is much too quick and Haruyuki thinks the kid is using the Brain Burst program. But when Haruyuki uses Brain Burst he sees no other players but his friends. But clearly the boy is cheating so how is this happening?! THE END!

XO How is it that I forgot to watch this series last week? I think I was just being a slacker and was busy watching new shows. :( That doesn’t mean I should just forgot about the others right? I am just a bad little blogger.

On a sadder note there was no Yuniko at all in this episode. She can’t just be gone right? Sure her main arc is gone but she has to show up sooner or later as she is a King and some kings HAVE to go if Kuroyuki is going to reach level 10. Not that I am suggesting Yuniko be one to be sacrificed for this noble honor but Kuroyuki might need alliances and what not. Maybe Yuniko was playing that new game with her friend and will be back soon to make Haruyuki cookies and mess with his mind.

And really Kuroyuki has a lot going for her right? The only flying avatar in the entire game and the only up for grabs healer in the game? Kuroyuki may only have three legion members (when Chiyuri officially joins) but she seems to have the cream of the crop. Poor Takumu. He was looking pretty sweet but now he is just as normal as they come is he not?

Is anyone else sensing a problem here folks?

First things first though folks. Chiyuri is in love with Haruyuki correct? And Takumu is just pretending that she isn’t? I mean surely there was a good reason why Chiyuri gave Haruyuki the tiny cable so he would have to lay on the bed with her and why she gave the longer cable to her boyfriend so he could sit in a chair away from the happy couple. Just…just wondering about this all.

Yep. Old times. When I was in love with Haruyuki. Yep yep.

But ya’ll Chiyuri just wants it to be like old times, when all three of them were together and having fun. I mean I am sure she is insanely jealous of Kuroyuki and all the time they spend with her but I believe part of her just wants to be involved and become closer to her friends again. I don’t really know how much of this let me show you that games are fun I believe. Games are supposed to be fun and it doesn’t really appear Brain Bursters have much of that going on. I just don’t think that is where Chiyuri’s heart really is and judging by Takumu’s face maybe he doesn’t want to go back to those days, where Chiyuri might have liked Haruyuki over him.

The fun OH Didn’t You Know fact came from how avatars are created. It turns out this game is so crazy and random it can interpret your fears from your first dream after installation and turn that into your game self. X___X Interesting. I really hope this game and why it was made is touched on at the end because this is some crazy stuff. It better not be about finding yourself and growing as a person. XD That would be silly. So a game full of kids and their nightmares fuel their character. Kuroyuki is afraid of hugs so she gets no arms? It all makes sense now.

Fears don't go away over night? SHOCKING!

I am glad that Haruyuki still fears the bully. Okay maybe not GLAD because that would be evil of me but I guess…well what do I mean? I do think it is pretty realistic. Just because the bully isn’t there anymore doesn’t mean the fear just poofs. Like he is gone, well lets forget all about that! Nope it makes more sense that Haruyuki still has legitimate reason to not be 100 percent confident and amazing. Haruyuki is just bringing on the realism isn’t he?

Cue the tears!!!!

And then Haruyuki gets placed in a class with both Chiyuri and Takumu. Because clearly Haruyuki has suffered enough AND we need to see him cry in every episode. So very real indeed.

What?! Kuroyuki's eyes are huge?! Clearly there is another Brain Burster in the room. The only logical explanation.

I do want to know what made Kuroyuki suspect there was another Brain Burster in the room. It turns out she is right but what gave her that feeling? The boys only thought that given her reaction but in a room full of people how would she know that something was going on? Especially since she was given a speech and had a room full of people to look at. I just don’t think she could have seen someone muttering something and Accelerating. So I wishes to know why she thought that and why the boys didn’t ask her later.

She should have beat their asses. Like really folks?!

In between not asking Kuroyuki what she thought and dancing over being in the same class Takumu and Haruyuki decide that they need to investigate themselves instead of waiting for their backup or to confirm that is indeed what Kuroyuki was thinking. Again it turns out they were right but gosh folks! They could have been wrong!!!! Oh and I am on team Chiyuri. She joins this damn game to be involved with you two and five seconds after she joins you are going to leave her out? RUDE! I would have been upset too although I am sure the boys thought she was just overreacting because she is a girl and girls have boobies and boobies produce emotions and such.

I would worry more about that ugly hat on your head.

After they confirm there is no new Brain Burster in town…it was time to show Chiyuri the ropes. I thought she was going to be more excited about the whole thing but she was acting like me that one and only time I played Halo. Just…oh. Later she did get into…well beating Haruyuki up though. I guess it does make sense though. She didn’t join this game because she thought it was cool. She did do to be a part of the group. So I can understand how it wasn’t so amazing for her.

BIGGEST NEWS EVER!!!!

I have to admit when Chiyuri turned out to be a healer I was going…OH! Girls always got to be the healers. Just stand in the back row and cast Cure 3 all the time and that is all you are good for. OUTRAGE! Although I do find it weird that in this game you can be unaware of what you are. In most games you pick a class. In this game you are given a class and you have to figure out everything for yourself. Like oh what does this random attack do. I did laugh at the random sparkles and was hoping that Chiyuri really wasn’t going to be useless.

My past is too painful Haruyuki. Or she is hot. Either way I am protecting myself...oh and you!

Kuroyuki coming forth and telling Haruyuki OH healers are rare in the game…really? Really?! It just seems like something a pro like Haruyuki should have asked about though as that is a basic skill most groups would need to have. But I found it more annoying that Kuroyuki still won’t talk about certain people in the game. I am going to assume that her guardian is the said healer and other king but maybe Kuroyuki is jealous of two people. Doubt it but it could happen.

See? Chiyuri needs some work here people.

And why wasn’t Kuroyuki all over that get Chiyuri in my legion bandwagon? Like oh I will talk to her…in ten days…after my class trip. No. Go get her now. Maybe Kuroyuki thinks Chiyuri has to join as Haruyuki and Takumu are already in her legion. Which makes sense but Kuroyuki needs to extend the olive branch as Chiyuri is a bit….not on team Kuroyuki already.

But I said sorry?! What do you mean I have to keep accepting the consequences of my actions?!

Haruyuki’s interaction with the underclassmen felt a little forced. Like oh look at this kid who fears germs! He is about to be important in five seconds so pay attention. So that was boring. But watching Takumu lose against someone who is using some kind of Accel power….I don’t know. Has he earned enough forgiveness yet? I don’t know I don’t know. But he tried his best and got a taste of his own medicine, someone “cheating” against him.

This makes no sense! I know everything about Accel World so I should be able to figure it out!

And that seems to be where this next arc is going. Haruyuki can’t figure out how this underclassmen is using the Brain Burst program as his name doesn’t turn up. Must be something new since Kuroyuki couldn’t figure it out. Are we dealing with another King or a minion? Guess we will find out soon right? XD Thanks for reading!
