I think I was a bit over dramatic when talking about the day spent with the husband’s family. I was just tired and a little cranky. No doubt it was a lot of drama but my family has drama too so I need to support my husband. And just smile more when keep asking when I am going to have kids. Just keep on smiling. SMILES FOR ALL!
But maybe I have learned a bit from the funeral and this episode. Maybe, just maybe I will spend a tiny bit less time gossiping. Because it was a bit weird wanting to talk to people about my Japan trip only for them to talk about gossip in the family that was less than positive. But maybe I talk too much in general.
So this episode of Kimi to Boku was a good one to watch. Good tie in with what went on with the funeral and what not. Spoilers for people failing on the art of spying.
Episode Summary: Chizuru is leading Kaname and Yuki in a mission to find Yuta. Only they happen up a scene that looks like a confession. Shun joins the group as they watch some girl confess to Yuta. The next day the group takes turns fanning each other on the roof. They try to trick Yuta into talking about having a girlfriend but that doesn’t work and leads to Yuki and Yuta saying stupid things. Yuta also talks about drinking juice from a can rather than a box. After school Yuta says he can’t go home with the rest of the boys. That of course causes the rest of boys to become suspicious and follow him. He meets up with the girl (named Takahashi) and they walk home together. The nervous train wreck Takahashi suggest they go to a book store. Despite being so boring Yuta doesn’t mind being around her. And he also doesn’t call out the other boys for following him. When they go out to eat Takahashi turns into a real nervous wreck and has a hard time talking to Yuta. Yuta breaks the ice by talking about boring things too. After she leaves Yuta surprised the other boys who were busy making a mess out of the restaurant.
Takahashi has a little walk down memory lane showing why she fell in love with Yuta. He helped her in gym class one day and has always admired him. At lunch when she tells her friends about the date they seemed shocked Takahashi pulled it off but decide she must have sucked on the date. The girls quickly ignore Takahashi and talk about other things. When they runoff to do other things Yuta comes by with his one and only boring CD he promised to lend her. She breaks the case and apologizes 389245 times. After school Yuta and Takahashi start to walk out of the school when Takahashi hears her friends. They are all standing around and gossiping about her. Most of the talk centers around how Takahashi is a loser and how they never thought she would ask out Yuta and how they are surprised he said yes. Yuta stays with Takahashi as she sits down and cries. She later explains that she knew the girls were always talking behind her back but despite that wants to be friends with them because they do have good times together. Yuta compares Takahashi’s situation to his boring CD. It took him awhile but he came to like some of the songs. So maybe if Takahashi changes she will like her friends too. Yuta later announces to her friends that Yuta and her broke up but does so in a mysterious way that garners her respect. Yuta never explains things fully to the group but his brother seems to forgive him. The great mysteries of drinking juice from a box though…that might never be explained. THE END!
So let it be known that these 5 boys don’t act very friendly with each other but the second a girl is in distress it is off to the rescue!!! WEEE!! Because girls are delicate innocent flowers who need protecting.
Protecting from jealous evil bitches that is!
Seriously folks what was that crap? I felt like I was watching a 22 minute ad on antibullying. It gets better because some random twin boy takes pity on you and or makes the situation worse. Oh okay.
I almost wanted to get mad Takahashi. I want to strangle her and say no friends are better than those friends. But then I remember being a teenage girl and how tough life would have been had I had NO ONE. It is better to have back stabbing friends than no friends at all right? If you are surrounded by a group of people you are less of a target. Yes they were saying crap about her but by being in their group that protected her from the stigma of being alone/creepy girl.
I make it sounds like Takahashi took advantage of the situation. Or that she was using the girls just like they were using her. I see it more as Takahashi trying to make the best of a bad situation. Sure I think that she deserved better and maybe if she was not with THAT group of people she could make other friends. But some people are not that brave and let’s be real. When your friends are talking about you behind your back like that does it really make you want to branch out and make new friends?
Thems girls were bitches. They were using Takahashi. Obviously their lives were so boring they needed a target. Someone to gossip about and put down so they feel better about themselves. I am not going to lie, sometimes I size up other women and think HAHA my bag is so much better than yours and things like that. But damn. DAMN. It is like one of the girls was interested in Yuta and got pissed that Takahashi couldn’t read her mind and set her up to fail. Then the other girls followed through because hello they were bored and it would be fun to watch their soft spoken friend suffer.
So while I understand that Yuta is a guy therefore does not understand girls I think he gave some poor advice in regards to Takahashi remaining “friends” with these people. Him comparing the situation to him magically liking a CD he previously hated was…a bit of a stretch. It is one thing for your taste of music to change and have songs to grow on you. It is another thing to force yourself to change and like people who have been so cruel to you. Just…not following the logic train.
However I think I will forgive him for his dumb boy moment because he was trying hard to protect and help this girl. Which is semi-surprising to me. Because as I stated before the boys who CLAIM to be “friends” generally pick on each other and act like the others are annoying/hindrances. Yes they eventually come through in the end for each other but to go out of their way to help another seemed like a leap. Yet since it was Yuta doing this, one character who seems to be slightly more observant than the others and maybe a slight bit more compassionate…I might forgive that too.
The other boys following Yuta around was….well typical. Not really much to say about that. I can see why they did it and why it was annoying. Obviously the way of the ninja has died out because no one can seem to master spying on people while they are on dates.
I do feel a little bad for Yuki. He seemed like the one person who didn’t want to spy but I think deep down he was a little hurt. He wanted his brother to share whatever was going on but wasn’t going to pry and ask. Because he probably thought Yuta should have told him and asking would defeat the point. Maybe Yuki came to terms with this and decided to support Yuta despite not asking/not needing it. That shows some maturity which is yay yes?
So in the end Yuta decides to stop this fake romance, probably because he was confused about the not real train scenes. Takahashi has gained some confidence and has gone back to her friends. And we are left with wondering….juice in a can or box? You decide.
