DEEP BREATHES PEOPLE! Hahaha is it bad it is day two of the year 2013 and I am already going X___X over things. Oh my silly little life. At least I got pie today. My life can't be that special if I got pie. Can you imagine life without pie? XO The horror!!!
Someone dies!!!! Just kidding. XD
Speaking of horror...I guess I might as well finish up the series Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. You know, since it ended last year. XD So episode 13. Spoilers for there being a second season probably.
See?! Haru can be sweet and romantic at times. More of this please!
Episode Summary: The episode starts where episode 11 left off, with Asako sorta confessing to Misawa. Souhei watches on but joins everyone else because the sun is rising. He does see that Asako has left the group but doesn't go after her. Shizuku starts arguing that they can't see the sunrise because of the building being in the way. Haru says it still counts and eventually everyone agrees with Shizuku. The party ends and Shizuku goes back to her life of studying. Until one day Haru dressed in something odd appears at her window. He says he is looking for something very important but has no time to state what he is looking for. He acts insane and leaves. Shizuku notes that he dropped his phone when jumping down from the window. Asako who was all sad and lonely with her computer at a cafe is visited upon by Haru who is still looking for something. He explains nothing and runs off but leaves behind his net. Haru runs to school and sees Souhei with his baseball buddies. He fails to explain the situation to the boys and runs off, leaving behind....um something. I can't remember what. XD Elsewhere in town Kenji is with his buddies as one of his gang has just had an operation to remove his appendix. Kenji goes to leave early but everyone ends up outside to get some drinks. Haru stumbles out of the bushes looking for something. No one understands what the hell is going and Haru leaves without taking his wallet.
Um perhaps you should stay in the hospital please....
Shizuku starts getting calls from people about insane Haru so she goes to drop off the phone at the batting cage building. She finds Asako and her blushy face already there. Misawa has stepped out but Asako still has to be all bushy. Asako wants to wait for Haru so Shizuku hands her the phone and says see ya. Asako is like WHAT but eventually everyone else ends up there with Haru's crap. Shizuku goes home to study but finds herself thinking of Haru. She goes to eat but is out of rice SHOCKING! She runs out to purchase some noms. While this was all happening Yuu happened upon Haru's chicken and sends a pic to Chizuru who tries to give her directions to the batting cage. Shizuku runs into the chicken holder and takes her to the batting cage. Everyone realizes that Haru was looking for his chicken and is probably still out there. Shizuku thinks that Haru might be by the river. So...she leaves to go home as does Kenji. Asako is shocked and makes everyone else look for Haru. The three Kenji boys are acting special while Souhei tries to find out what is going on with Asako and Misawa. She gets all blushy and doesn't want to talk and who knows what is happening there. After Shizuku helps Kenji find his way home she finds or is found by Haru. He explains he wasn't looking for the chicken but a glow bug that is not a firefly. He says it is so pretty and wants to see it with Shizuku. Some anime magic happens and the bug (firefly) flies by and Haru is so excited. Shizuku looks at him and is caught up in how Haru sees the world. She hopes that one day she can be like him and then talks about how she hasn't had time to explain (insert other characters here) yet but she will. One day. THE END!
Because....it is? XO
I am pretty sure my eyes melted from my head out of boredom. They were like screw you guys I am going home. Only home is in my skull so they had to act like Kenjji and pretend that they just got lost. In any event what a way to end a series guys. I am so impressed.
No apparently there is going to be more.
Or really should I say season? Because the way Shizuku was talking towards the end obviously there is going to be a Season Two. And there has to be even if Shizuku hadn't said “And I need to tell you about this person, this person, oh and him too.” No one is an actual couple!!! A slice of life romance show and there isn't officially a couple despite the fact that Haru and Shizuku confessed to each other 12454 times during the show. We got unpaired teenagers folks and that just won't due.
That would be Souhei trying to be slick. Is it working?
Needless to say we didn't get to hear an answer from Misawa in regards to Asako sorta asking him out. An implied asking out. But the thing is I don't think he gave an answer. I think he sat there all X___X after she said so and then she left the party because she didn't want to hear him say no. I guess it makes more sense that there will be a season two because even if she did get an answer it would be odd for her to automatically go be with Souhei. These things take time.
I noticed Asako! Please come back!
Asako leaving the party and no one really saying anything (although Souhei noticed) was sad. Shizuku. Open your eyes. Well your eyes were too busy noticing that there was a building in the way of your sunrise. Funny how they didn't notice that until the very moment the sunrise happened. I think I am in the frame of mind a sunrise counts as you see it, not the horizon. But yes Shizuku. Stop harping on boring things and notice your friend just walked away.
What exactly are you saying?
So after all the party stuff....most of the episode focused on Haru running around town and running into anyone who had a speaking role during this series. Like hello I am dressed weird and am looking for something. Have you seen it? Of course I don't have time to tell you what it is I have to go. But since I am Mr. Magoo I will leave behind something of mine. Have a good time.
The chicken was neglected!
Like....thanks for making the episode special. I did assume though that they were looking for the chicken. Which is probably the point. It doesn't make it any less annoying. Like come on and open your mouth. How are people supposed to help you if you don't tell them what you are looking for? No time? Well people asking and telling you that you in fact are insane is taking up time. Good thing Haru is naturally crazy or this obvious ender episode would feel out of place.
I am wondering that too. X____X
So everyone came together because Haru was leaving them with a weird experience. I especially thought it was a stretch as Kenji and his people were in the hospital. If you are in the hospital because your appendix was taken out maybe you should stay there. Not go outside with your friends so you can run into Haru. Haru running into everyone else made sense though.
Begone from my screen!
Yuu being the one to find the chicken was just....no. No bueno. Stop trying to make Yuu happen. She reminds me of a stereotypical “nerd”....boy though. One that breathes really heavily through their mouths and are so beyond awkward. Just creepy girl. I rather see more of Chizuru than Yuu. Just say no to Yuu.
Just run away from all the craziness!
I am not sure why Asako had to be at the batting cage. But I guess if she wasn't then there would be no reason for anyone else to stay and no bonding would happen ect ect. But Asako would have the least likely reason to stay. I thought she was avoiding Misawa. Unless she is doing that girl thing where you want something but you don't want it and you pretend to do something to hide the fact that you are really getting something else out of it. All that said...Shizuku is so cold. Like here I got to study. Because I am not wasting time on the person I claim to love. She and Asako could have played cards or something. Since the anime magic was compelling someone to stay behind. Poor Asako.
Me and my rice are leaving!
But if you think about it Shizuku was really cold to Haru later. Everyone was going to look for him after Yuu returns with the chicken and Shizuku thinks she knows where Haru might be. But Shizuku is the only one who doesn't go look for Haru. Well Kenji doesn't either but even if he did he would have gotten lost anyway. She leaves everyone behind because she has to study and make rice. I think that Kenji did think Shizuku was leaving early to go look for Haru but was doing that girl thing and hiding it. Yet Shizuku helps Kenji find the main road when he gets lost. What is up with her?! It was supposed to be romantic. She was supposed to blush and say well it was better to look for you now than something else horrible happen but really she cares deep down.
I'll find you instead.
Despite the fact that Shizuku didn't look for Haru thus didn't earn her romantic moment...Haru finds her anyway. That staircase is where the magic happens. Haru appears and is like I am looking for a thing that glows at night and is an insect but is not a firefly. Spoiler alert it turns out that it was a firefly. But Haru wanted to find this sucker because it was so beautiful and thinks that it would have looked more beautiful if he saw it with her.
I think that her heart is two sizes two small sometimes.
The show ends on an awwww moment. The bug ends up flying by and Shizuku sees how excited Haru is to see the bug with her. She thinks to herself that one day she hopes to like Haru as much as he likes her. X___X The way she was going on and on made it sound like she hasn't confessed to him at all. She should have said things like “I hope to be as happy as him” one day.
She did make one tiny step in asking Asako if she was okay. One tiny, tiny step.
Clearly Shizuku has some growing to do folks. Thus there is going to be a season two. She talked about how she hasn't really talked about the other characters yet and she and Haru aren't official. Now just because there is going to be a season two eventually doesn't mean I will be watching it. With all the unnecessary violence against Shizuku, Shizuku being so focused on studying it makes my head bleed, and the fact that everything is all complicate for no reason...it wasn't all that enjoyable to watch. It was a hot mess most of the time. But I love Asako so I might watch for her. Just hard to tell. I guess for now I am signing out for this series though. Thanks for reading!
